The most prominent of the contemptible characteristics in Donald Trump’s malignantly narcissistic personality (or lack thereof), is his infantile tendency to lash out at his perceived enemies with pathetic insults that are generally projections of his own festering flaws.
On Sunday Trump was especially perturbed by a variety of pundits who dared to point out his… let’s say “ship” load of shortcomings. Criticism is something that Trump has never been able to tolerate, particularly when it is accurate, as it is almost always is. He is a notorious snowflake who whines petulantly whenever the truth about his myriad defects are discussed.
So in his typically childish way, Trump employed the kindergarten tactic of “I know you are, but what am I.” On his miserably failing TRUTH Social website, Trump complained about “all of these foolish (stupid!) people, often living in a bygone era.” He referred by name to notable conservative pundits Peggy Noonan, George Will, Rich Lowry, Jonah Goldberg, and Stephen Hayes. And while he is the one whose era has gone by, he raged…
“Where do these people come from? They have no idea what the MAGA movement is, and even less of an understanding of America First, which is necessary, and even vital, to save our Country. People like these are nasty, jealous, not smart, and of no use to the potential greatness of our Country. They talk, they criticize, and they complain, but they don’t have the ability or talent to get anything done. They are shortsighted ‘losers,’ and will never understand what it takes to Make America Great Again!”
Once again, Trump is projecting. Is there anyone who can be better described as “nasty, jealous, not smart, and of no use,” than Donald Trump? And who is more renowned for talking, criticizing, and complaining, while having zero ability to get anything done, than Trump?
Finally, being a “shortsighted loser” is a role that Trump has owned for the past year and a half (at least) as he has tried and failed to push his “Big Lie” that the 2020 presidential election was “rigged” and “stolen” from him. He is the definition of a sore loser who refuses to accept reality.
In the process, Trump is running down the core of Republican politics, attacking longtime stalwarts such as those noted above, as well as GOP mainstays such as Mitch McConnell, George Bush (both), John McCain, Mitt Romney, and even Ronald Reagan. All of which is proof that Trump has never been a Party guy. He is for one person only: Donald Trump. And for that Democrats can at least be grateful that he is bringing down the GOP, which has humiliated itself by sucking up to their mock messiah.
