Donald Trump has just completed the first year of his second occupation of the White House. And now that the congressional midterm elections are approaching, this might be a good time to review what he and his MAGA Republican comrades have done in that year. Let’s begin where Trump began, with Congress passing his so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” that was a gift basket for his wealthy friends, but increased the national debt by record amounts.

Moving on, there was Trump’s idiotic imposition of inflationary that cost American businesses and consumers billions of dollars. And then there was Trump’s attack on Venezuela, where he anointed himself “acting president.” And then there were the U.S. institutions (i.e. the Smithsonian, the Agency for Global Media, the Institute of Peace, the Kennedy Center, etc.) that he either decimated or renamed for himself. And then there were the invasions of American cities by ICE’s StormTrumpers who terrorized American citizens, killing at least two them. And let’s not forget that he’s building a golden ballroom on the property where he demolished the East Wing of the White House. All of that should endear him to the American people, right? RIGHT?

On Saturday morning Trump took to his dedicated propaganda platform, Truth Social, to unleash yet another load of explosive diarhetoric. And true to form, it was a rambling disgorgement of lies and nonsense that can only make one wonder when the guys with butterfly nets are gonna show up. This new unburdening was truly something to behold. So…

That’s right. Trump is complaining that “Sometimes in life you waste time!” That’s the same guy who spent his time in the White House for the past year on the vital national priorities noted above. Not to mention his staged Cabinet/sycophant meetings, his obsessive TV hate-watching, his golfing, etc. This particular time wasting was a 500 word diatribe about a dinner with comedian Bill Maher. To which America is responding with a hearty “Who the F**K cares?”

Of course, since Trump is incapable of focusing on a single subject for longer than a house fly will sit on a bread crumb, he littered the rant with some well worn lies about his alleged accomplishments, before retreating back to his familiar whining about comedians who dare to mock him. Seriously…Has any national leader ever been so egocentric, thin-skinned, and infantile?

Trump says that he was upset with Maher not appreciating his alleged “joke” that China would “terminate ALL Ice Hockey being played in Canada, and permanently eliminate The Stanley Cup.” Except that Trump posted that comment without any indication that he didn’t mean it. Just like his comments about taking over Greenland, and abolishing windmills because they drive whales crazy and cause cancer. Trump often claims to have been joking after his ludicrous comments prove to be too embarrassing to defend.

There is also the possibility that Trump was triggered by another bit on Maher’s show where he featured a bunch of “MAGA Baby Shower Gifts.” Such as…

“…a onesie that reads, ‘not an anchor baby’…a doll that cries liberal tears…a baby mobile with the faces of the cast of Fox and Friends…baby’s first blanket pardon…Stroller nuts…a baby monitor that alerts you when your child is woke…autism-free Tylenol…the Venezuelan boat bath toy…a diaper that reads, don’t blame Trump, this is Biden’s mess.”

Trump also made a point of maligning Maher as being “no different than Kimmel, Fallon, or Colbert,” and having such low ratings that “nobody will learn about his various Fake News statements about me.” Except for every one of his cult followers who read this schizoid post on Truth Social.

Trump closed with a typical accusation that Maher suffers from “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” Which is a diagnosis that more accurately describes a condition that Trump and his cult disciples suffer from.
