Trump’s Propaganda Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, Celebrates Trump’s Approval Ratings – That SUCK!

The trials and tribulations of Donald Trump continue to gnaw at him and his MAGA movement mavens as his policies continue to fail and cause grievous harm to the American people. Not surprisingly, his approval ratings are scraping the bare bottom at depths that are – as he might describe it – 200, 500, 1,200% lower than anything that has ever been seen before.

Donald Trump and Karoline Leavitt

In the midst of Trump’s miserable showing in the polls, his Press/Propaganda Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, is spinning as fast as she can to try to present a palatable impression of her Dear Leader’s position in the political hellscape of his own making. But so far, it doesn’t seem to be doing any good.

SEE THIS: POOR BABY: Trump Whines that Polls Don’t Give Him Credit for ‘the Greatness of America’

On Saturday morning Leavitt posted a comment on Twitter/X that was likely intended to raise the spirits of he boss. And he really needs it, considering the pitiful performances he has been giving lately.

A primetime television address showed Trump barking like a rabid hound at a national TV audience to berate them for not adoring him enough. And at a follow up rally in North Carolina he appeared to be on heavy sedatives as he babbled incoherently about everything from his repeated cognitive tests (that generally are not repeated unless there’s a problem), to Melania’s “perfect” panties. Leavitt’s comment gushed that…

“President Donald Trump’s approval rating rose to 50 percent in a new RMG Research poll, marking his strongest showing by the pollster in more than a month.”

WOW! Trump’s approval rocketed up to less than a clear majority by RMG Research (Rasmussen), a notoriously biased, right-wing pollster. How proud he must be. Certainly Leavitt is thrilled by this achievement. So thrilled that she forgot to post some of the other findings in the same Newsweek article to which she linked. Such as that…

“…the poll found more respondents strongly disapprove of Trump than strongly approve, with 38 percent saying they strongly disapprove and 27 percent saying they strongly approve.”

For the record, here are some other recent surveys of Trump’s sagging popularity…

SO SAD! Propaganda Secretary Karoline Leavitt has to pump up Trump's ego with pathetically biased polls that aren't even very good for him.And every other poll is even worse.

News Corpse (@newscorpse.bsky.social) 2025-12-20T21:09:51.934Z

This is the current state of Trumpian affairs that Leavitt is so overjoyed about. Needless to say, it’s a sad exhibition of failure by a felonious, ignoramous and pathological liar who whose inability to govern is painfully obvious. But that “pain” (especially for the people) notwithstanding, Trump’s ego must be constantly massaged, and it’s the unpleasant duty of Trump-fluffers like Leavitt to do the dirty work. You might almost feel sorry for her. Almost.

Trump Brags (Lies) That the Unemployment Rate Rose Because He Fired Lots of Federal Workers

The November jobs report revealed that unemployment increased to a four year high of 4.6% eleven months after Trump’s reoccupation of the White House. Although Trump routinely tries to blame everything bad on the “fake news” and/or President Biden’s impressively enduring impact on the government that he left nearly a year ago, he has been unable to make any of that stick.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Undeterred by his prior failures to shift blame, Trump is trying again to evade responsibility for the harm his neglect, ignorance, incompetence, and deliberate malfeasance has imposed on the nation and its people. Unfortunately he has the assistance of the media that he pretends to despise, but which is actually his partner in spreading his perverse distortions of reality.

SEE THIS: ENOUGH! American Media Disgraced Itself Again By Airing Trump’s Lie-Riddled Harangue-a-Thon

While Trump can lie about pretty much anything, the troubled state of the economy is a harder con to sell, because people know what everything they are buying actually costs. Trump can’t just tell them that they are paying less when they know that isn’t true. Well, he can and does tell them that, but they know that he’s lying.

The same thing is true with regard to the just released job numbers for November. The new report showing a 4.6% unemployment rate reflects the reality that the American people face everyday. But in Trump’s world it is a fluid figure that he can falsify because it doesn’t affect him or anyone he knows or cares about. Consequently, he posted the following comment on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, as his explanation for the higher unemployment numbers…

“The only reason our Unemployment ticked up to 4.5% is because we are reducing the Government Workforce by numbers that have never been seen before. 100% OF OUR NEW JOBS ARE IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR! I could reduce Unemployment to 2% overnight by just hiring people into the Federal Government, even though those Jobs are not necessary. I wish the Fake News would report the 4.5% correctly. What I am doing is the only way to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

First of all, Trump incorrectly says that “our Unemployment ticked up to 4.5%,” when it actually ticked up to 4.6%. But that was the least important error in his comment. Trump’s statement that unemployment worsened because of a reduced government workforce has no factual basis. Nor does his claim that he “could reduce Unemployment to 2% overnight by just hiring people into the Federal Government.” And he doesn’t bother to provide any support for those claims. Although he did repeat the same lies to the press a few hours later…

“The only reason our unemployment tucked up and went up to 4.5%, which it went up to 4.5%, which is quite a low number, but still, it is because we are reducing the government workforce by numbers that have never been seen before.”

Trump: "The only reason our unemployment tucked up and went up to 4.5 percent [it's actually 4.6 percent] is because we are reducing the government workforce by numbers that have never been seen before."

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2025-12-19T19:24:51.296Z

“I could reduce unemployment to 2%, 1%, or practically zero by just hiring people into the federal government even though those jobs are not necessary. Which is what we had before. Millions and millions of people having jobs that they never even showed up. So I wish the media would report that the 4.5% is an amazing number.”

Trump: "I could reduce unemployment to 2%, 1%, or practically zero by just hiring people into the federal government even though those jobs are not necessary"

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2025-12-19T19:25:40.527Z

It’s rather bizarre that Trump is bragging about having raised the unemployment rate by putting hundreds of thousands of productive Americans out of work. These are people who performed critical services for the Departments of Health and Human Services, Education, Veterans Affairs, the Social Security Administration, and more. So not only is Trump hurting those fired workers, he’s hurting every American who relied on those services.

As for Trump’s preposterous claim that rehiring fired federal employees “could reduce unemployment to 2%, 1%, or practically zero,” that is another example of his mathematical illiteracy. The number of federal workers that were fired during Trump’s term since January is estimated to be around 317,000, according to his own Office of Personnel Management. While that is a significant amount of people and families that Trump has hurt, adding those people back into the workforce would only reduce the unemployment rate from 4.6% to about 4.4%. Which is a long way from “2%, 1%, or practically zero.”

This is par for the course for Trump. It mirrors his claim that he will cut drug prices by as much as 1,200%, when any cut greater than 100% would mean that the drugs would be free, or even result in the drug company paying the customer to buy the drugs. That doesn’t compute. Nor does Trump’s unemployment stats. Nor does his claims about tariffs revenue. That only thing that we can depend on with regard to Trump is that he will lie shamelessly about everything. And so will his sycophantic minions in Congress and the MAGA media.

ENOUGH! American Media Disgraced Itself Again By Airing Trump’s Lie-Riddled Harangue-a-Thon

Wednesday night Donald Trump delivered a primetime address from the White House that was billed as an important communication to the American people concerning matters that would be of great interest to them. And every major national network carried the speech live. Ordinarily those networks don’t give up that valuable airtime unless they have been assured that there is a valid justification for it.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump TV Set

However, on this occasion, the networks don’t appear to have done even a perfunctory review of what the content of Trump’s speech would be. Consequently, they greenlit his speech so that he could eat up half an hour of primetime to literally yell at the American people for not being sufficiently worshipful, and for failing to recognize the magnificence of his performance during the first year of his second occupation of the White House. It’s something that he is preoccupied with given his abysmal standing in national opinion surveys.

SEE THIS: POOR BABY: Trump Whines that Polls Don’t Give Him Credit for ‘the Greatness of America’

Trump’s psychotic display of rabid rage and unrestrained ego was unprecedented in U.S. presidential politics. The entire speech was nothing more than a bellicose, live-action version of the tantrums that he posts daily on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social. It was an outburst of explosive diarhetorical™ fury aimed at the peasants who failed to properly adore him.

As a public service, the video of his speech will not be posted here. It’s widely available for those with the stomach to endure it. And that’s precisely the problem. This speech should never have aired live on television by any reputable news network. It was entirely devoid of any substance that would have any appreciable impact on the lives of the American people. It was pure bitching and whining from an emotionally stunted malignant narcissist. The media could have taped it and later aired any part that had actual news content. But no. They caved to Dear Leader Trump who began his address saying that…

“Eleven months ago I inherited a mess, and I’m fixing it. When I took office, inflation was the worst in 48 years, and some would say in the history of our country, which caused prices to be higher than ever before, making life unaffordable for millions and millions of Americans.”

And that is where every network that was foolish enough to air Trump’s speech should have cut the feed and returned to their regularly scheduled programming. Those opening lines were pure fiction. Trump not only didn’t “inherit a mess,” he inherited what the right-leaning magazine, “The Economist,” said was The Envy of the World.” And most other economics experts agreed.

What’s more, inflation was not nearly “the worst in 48 years” when Trump took office, While inflation did rise to about 9% in the U.S. – and even more worldwide – during President Biden’s term, he was successful in reducing it to about 2.7% before his term ended. That’s what Trump inherited. And he proceeded to make that worse. Today inflation is about 3%. And predictions about the economy are mostly dire due to Trump having no policies that could reasonably produce a positive result. Or more accurately, due to his policies being overtly detrimental.

Furthermore, if Trump really cared about “making life unaffordable for millions and millions of Americans” (he doesn’t), he wouldn’t be imposing billions of dollars in taxes (aka tariffs) on them. And he wouldn’t be allowing health insurance subsidies to expire. And he wouldn’t be deporting the labor that builds our homes, works in our factories, and cares for our children and elders.

The rest of Trump’s speech was an excruciating, insufferable, offensive, and incomprehensible exercise in self-serving blather. It offered nothing that could have benefitted anyone but himself. And it even failed on that level. It’s a safe bet that his already cratering poll numbers will sink further after this oratorical debacle.

In Trump’s defense, what else did anyone expect from him? He delivered exactly the sort of bullshittery that he is known for. And with the predictable quantity of blatant lies. The bigger problem with respect to his speech was that it was aired live by every news network. At what point do they realize that his temper tantrums are not newsworthy? When will they stop kowtowing to him and providing a platform for his deception and propaganda? Will they ever take their responsibility as journalists and patriots seriously?

Those are questions that the American people are going to have to answer. They must make their voices heard so these alleged “news” networks know that we expect more of them. We expect them to be honest and probing and fearless. But if they persist in being sycophants to wannabe dictators, they will have no audience left for their shameless and worthless garbage-casting.

Fox News Trump-Fluffers Preview – and Gush Over – the New Melania Trump Crocumentary

If Donald Trump spent half as much time running the country as he does on disseminating dishonest and self-serving propaganda, the country would be…well, much worse off than it is now. So perhaps we should all be grateful that Trump is neglecting his job and devoting himself to golfing, tweeting, and watching Fox News.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump Baby and Melania Trump

Trump’s television habits are well known. On any given morning he can be found live-posting what he’s watching on his Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News. His favorite show may be the morning panel of “Curvy Couch” potatoes on Fox and Friends. He was once a regular on the program himself with weekly “Mondays with Trump” segments. But now they just lavish him with fawning adoration…

SEE THIS: HUH? Fox News Praises Trump for Being 80 Years Old and Severely Sleep Deprived

On Wednesday’s episode of Fox and Friends, the MAGA hype team were beside themselves with gleeful infatuation as they introduced what they described as “an exclusive first look for the trailer of the new movie [that] hits theaters January 30th, Here’s a look at ‘Melania, the Film.'” Whereupon they played the whole trailer – which is a 60 second commercial – free of charge.

The trailer begins with Melania looking into the camera and saying “Here we go again.” Which sounds more threatening than welcoming. That was followed by a series of rapid-cut video clips of Melania being glamorous while, according to the trailer’s text, “making history.” Then they return to the Curvy Couch where Brain Kilmeade and Ainsley Earhardt (Sean Hannity’s fiancé) react to what they just watched…

Kilmeade: You know what would be great for us? To go to the White House to watch it.
Earhardt: That is a great idea. If the White House is listening…Is there a movie theater at the White House? With recliners and all?

of all of the things I am going to not watch, this is the thing I am going to not watch the most

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2025-12-17T15:24:41.961Z

Well. there used to be a movie theater in the White House. FDR put it there in 1942, where it was enjoyed by presidents and their families and guests for more than 80 years. There is just one problem. It was in the East Wing that Trump demolished to make way for his gaudy, faux-gold, $400 million elitist ballroom that nobody but Trump wanted. So much for that fantasy.

The Melania documentary will be distributed by MGM, which is owned by Amazon Studios, which in turn is owned by billionaire Trump backer, Jeff Bezos. He reportedly paid/bribed $40 million for the rights. Melania herself is the executive producer. And Brett Ratner is returning to the director’s chair after a long hiatus from filmmaking due to his having being accused of sexual assault by multiple women. Something he has in common with Donald Trump.

The deal covers both the theatrical release and a potential follow-up series. Melania is expected to earn $28 million as part of the licensing agreement, making it one of the largest documentary deals ever, according to the Wall Street Journal.

It’s safe to assume that this history making documentary will not include much of Melania’s actual history. For instance, her many nude photo shoots, her relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, her disparaging remarks about Christmas, her phony “Einstein” visa, chain migration family members, and anchor babies, nor the fact that she doesn’t live with Donald at the White House or Mar-a-Lago, preferring to spend most of her time in Manhattan.

It’s also safe to assume that this project will lose a fortune, just like so many other Trump business ventures, such as his Truth Social website and crypto exchange. The only people who will pay to see it are the glassy-eyed MAGA cult disciples who attend his rallies and buy his red hats. And there aren’t enough of them to make this blatant historical puff piece into anything but a historical flop.

However, look for it to be aired in the near future on Fox News for free. Even the trailer ends with Melania on the phone with Donald where he asks her about some event he had done, saying “Did you watch it?” And she replies “I did not. I will see it on the news.”

Is Secretary of ‘War’ Pete Hegseth Covering Up the War Crimes and He and Trump Have Committed?

For the past few months Donald Trump has presided over a series of deadly air strikes on boats in the Caribbean that he alleged were engaged in drug trafficking. Never mind that he provided no evidence to support his allegations, or that such strikes in international waters are against international law. And even if there were evidence, the alleged crimes would not have been subject to capital punishment.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump, Pete Hegseth

Trump’s Caribbean misadventures have been conducted purely for what he perceives to be the political benefit of slaughtering what he calls “narco-terrorists” (a ridiculous, made up term), and its usefulness in deflecting from his tribulations involving the Epstein files that he continues to suppress. Meanwhile, Trump’s Secretary of “War” Pete Hegseth, has holiday visions of bloody corpses dancing in his head…

SEE THIS: The Nauseating Christmas ‘Wish” of Trump’s Bloodthirsty Secretary of ‘War’ Pete Hegseth

One particularly disturbing attack occurred on September 2, 2025, when the first air strike left a couple of survivors clinging to the wreckage of their boat. So there was a second strike ordered that succeeded in murdering the two helpless survivors. Most reputable military legal experts have called that a war crime.

Video of the first strike was released shortly after it occurred, But video of the second strike has been mysteriously withheld. Consequently, there has been a great deal of interest in releasing the second video in order to ascertain the facts that have been mired in controversy and ever-changing.

When this subject was first raised with Trump, he pretended to have an opinion favoring complete transparency and told reporters that he had “no problem” with releasing the second video. But that position didn’t hold for very long…

On December 3:
Question: You released video of that first boat strike on September 2nd, but not the second video. will you release the video of that strike so that the American people can see for themselves what happened?
Trump: I don’t know what they have, but whatever they have, we’d certainly release. No problem.
On December 8:
Question: You said you would have no problem with releasing the full video of that strike on September 2nd off the coast of Venezuela.
Trump: I didn’t say that. You said that. I didn’t say that. This is ABC fake news…Whatever Hegseth wants to do is OK with me.

Q: “You said you would have no problem with releasing the full video of that strike on September 2nd.”Trump: “I didn’t say that. You said that. I didn’t say that. This is ABC fake news.”Trump on Dec. 3: “Whatever they have, we’d certainly release. No problem.”

The Bulwark (@thebulwark.com) 2025-12-08T20:32:26.091Z

So Trump’s willingness to release the second video was short-lived, and he quickly shifted responsibility for what was being described as a war crime to his DoD underling, Hegseth. In the process, denying that he said what he was actually caught saying to a room full of reporters.

On Tuesday morning Hegseth was asked about the second video and gave an answer that appears he hopes will close the debate, saying that he would…

“…allow the HASC [House Armed Services Committee} and SASC [Senate Armed Services Committee] to see the unedited video of September 2nd, alongside Admiral Bradley, who has done a fantastic job, has made all the right calls, and we’re glad he’ll be there to do it. But in keeping with long-standing Department of Defense policy, of course we’re not going to release a top-secret, full, unedited video of that to the general public. HASC and SASC, appropriate committees, will see it, but not the general public.”

Hegseth on the second Sept 2 strike: "Of course we're not going to release a top secret full unedited of that to the general public"

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2025-12-16T16:20:28.975Z

For some reason it has been appropriate to release every other video of the two dozen boat strikes (so far) in the Caribbean before this. They are estimated to have resulted in at least 95 deaths, possibly of innocent fishermen. But for this one video different rules apply, even though nothing is different about it. There is nothing more in it that would compromise national security or confidential military sources or methods.

The only difference with this second video is that it might reveal to the American people just how lawless and inhumane the Trump regime is in their conduct of this phony, undeclared war. So Hegseth prohibits its release in order to shield himself – and Trump – from accountability for their criminal misconduct. It also shields them from the public disgust and disgrace that would follow if they were to see what Hegseth and Trump have been up to.

Both Democrats and Republicans in Congress have been calling for the video to be released. Any efforts to suppress it can only be viewed as a deliberate cover up. And Hegseth cannot be the final word on this. Ultimately, Trump is supposed to be the commander-in-chief, and it his his decision to release or hide this video.

If Trump chooses to hide the video, he is essentially admitting that it contains information that would incriminate him and others. Very much like his choice to hide the Epstein files. Hopefully Congress will prevail in this matter, and the people will get the truth to which they are entitled.

Even Trump’s Loyal MAGA-tists are Disgusted By His Deplorable Commentary on Rob Reiner

For the better part of a decade Donald Trump has demonstrated a measure of the monstrosity that makes up his character, or lack thereof. He keeps challenging the nation to imagine how he could ever get any worse as an alleged human being, and yet he still manages to exceed everyone’s worst expectations.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump Circling the Drain

We’re talking about someone who had an unsavory relationship with a notorious pedophile; blows up boats in the Caribbean without any proof of wrongdoing; cuts off life-saving aid to millions of poor people around the world; allows health insurance subsidies to expire making it unaffordable for millions of Americans; deports law-abiding migrants to foreign gulags; pardons international drug traffickers and other criminal felons; and threatens to execute members of congress…

SEE THIS: Trump Accuses Democratic Members of Congress With ‘Seditious Behavior, Punishable by Death’

However, if you think that Trump has hit rock bottom, you don’t know Trump. On Monday morning Trump posted a comment to his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, expressing his extraordinarily vile thoughts about the tragic murder of iconic actor/director Rob Reiner and his wife. It was among the most nauseating things he has ever said, and that’s saying something.

The gist of his comment was that Reiner deserved to have been murdered “due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME.” Of course, Trump has no evidence of that, or any idea of what the motive was. Also, if Trump thinks that Reiner was murdered because he hated Trump, then isn’t Trump accusing one of his followers of the murder?

Donald Trump continues to sink to ever deeper depths of depravity. His comment on the tragic death of Rob Reiner and his wife is unspeakably grotesque. And, as usual, reeks with the stink of his massive, yet fragile ego.

News Corpse (@newscorpse.bsky.social) 2025-12-15T19:20:34.355Z

Trump, however, was not satisfied with his repulsive post. Later the same day Trump took some questions at the White House, and one of them was about the Reiner comment. Naturally, Trump would not express any regret or apologize for his indecency. To the contrary, he doubled down…

Reporter: A number of Republicans have denounced your statement on Truth Social after the murder of Rob Reiner. Do you stand by that statement?
Trump: Well, I wasn’t a fan of his at all. He was a deranged person as far as Trump was concerned. He said he liked – he knew it was false – In fact it was the exact opposite – that I was a friend of Russia, controlled by Russia. It was the Russia hoax. He was one of the people behind it. I think he hurt himself career-wise. He became like a deranged person. Trump Derangement Syndrome. So I was not a fan of Rob Reiner at all, in any way shape or form. I thought he was very bad for our country.”

Trump on Rob Reiner: He was a deranged person… Trump derangement syndrome. I was not a fan. I thought he was very bad for our country.

Acyn (@acyn.bsky.social) 2025-12-15T20:49:42.119Z

Someone needs to tell Trump that you don’t need to be a fan of someone to express some sympathy for their untimely demise, and for the grief of their loved ones. But the only person that Trump can think about is himself. So he manufactures reasons to lash out Reiner, and rehashes old allegations about Trump’s connections to Russia, which have been mostly validated.

It’s also notable that Trump ignored the part of the question that mentioned the Republicans who have denounced his comments. For the record, here a just a few of them…

Rep.Thomas Massie: Regardless of how you felt about Rob Reiner, this is inappropriate and disrespectful discourse about a man who was just brutally murdered.

Meghan McCain: This is awful, cruel and beneath President Trump.

Jonathan Turley: [A]bsent is any sense of restraint in light of this tragedy or any consideration for this grieving family.

Rep. Mike Lawler: This statement is wrong. Regardless of one’s political views, no one should be subjected to violence…It’s a horrible tragedy that should engender sympathy and compassion from everyone in our country, period.

Andy McCarthy: No words. I mean, ‘disgraceful,’ ‘appalling,’ ‘atrocious’ — those are words, but they don’t do it justice.

Kennedy: Disgusting, unnecessary and inappropriate.

Guy Benson: Gross.

Joe Concha: Completely inappropriate.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene: This is a family tragedy, not about politics or political enemies…It’s incredibly difficult and should be met with empathy especially when it ends in murder.

That’s just a sampling of the reaction from the right-wing Republicans who form the base of Trump’s MAGA movement. But it is also an indication that his supporters are beginning to show some of the backbone that has been sorely missing for the past ten years. It was inevitable that as Trump’s approval ratings decline, as they have been, his supporters would start to fear the people – i.e. voters – more than they fear Trump. That’s the tipping point at which we may be now.

If this trend continues, Trump will not only find himself without a Republican majority in Congress, but without support from what remains of the GOP. Nobody will want to be associated with someone who disparages beloved Americans who were taken from us far too soon. Trump pretended to hold that position when right-wing activist Charlie Kirk was murdered. But his hypocrisy is on full blast now. By comparison, let’s revisit what Rob Reiner had to say shortly after Kirk’s passing. It really reveals the differences between a good man and sociopath.

“That should never happen to anybody. I don’t care what your political beliefs are. That’s not acceptable. That’s not a solution to solving problems. And I felt like what his wife said at the service, at the memorial they had, was exactly right. And, totally, I believe — you know, I’m Jewish — but I believe in the teachings of Jesus, and I believe in ‘Do unto others.’ And I believe in forgiveness. And what she said [Erika Kirk], to me, was beautiful and absolutely — you know — she forgave his assassin. And I think that that is admirable.”

The Epstein Defiles: GOP Chairman Threatens Bill and Hillary Clinton with Contempt of Congress

Last month a nearly unanimous bipartisan vote in Congress (to which Donald Trump vehemently objected) ordered the release of the Epstein files that are in the custody of Trump’s “Justice” Department. They have until Friday, December 19, to comply. Although, with the track record of the Trump regime ignoring their legal obligations, it is by no means certain that they will meet that deadline.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein

In the meantime, a batch of photographs obtained from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate were released by congressional Democrats that revealed the relationships between Epstein and Trump, as well as a few others, including Steve Bannon, Alan Dershowitz, and Bill Clinton. Of course the only persons that Trump is interested in investigating are Democrats. And he made that clear to his Attorney Genuflect, Pam Bondi.

SEE THIS: HUH? Trump Orders Pam Bondi to Investigate Bill Clinton and Other Democrats Re: Jeffrey Epstein

As the walls close in around Trump, his MAGA minions in the House of Representatives are working furiously to shield him from any accountability. For the most part, that means deflecting attention away from Trump and unto his political foes. Consequently, James Comer, the GOP chair of the House “Persecution of Democrats” Committee (aka the Oversight Committee), is now threatening Bill and Hillary Clinton with contempt of Congress for not yet having complied with his vindictive subpoenas to appear for depositions on the Epstein matter.

If the Clintons have any useful information about Epstein and his criminal activities, they should give testimony to Congress and cooperate with the probe. However, it is notable that the only people that Comer has threatened with contempt are the Clintons. Others who have had documented connections to Epstein have not been been under such pressure. And that includes the man that Epstein said was his best friend for 15 years, Donald Trump.

Comer has led numerous politically prejudicial investigations during his tenure as committee chair. They include probes into President Biden’s financial records, an impeachment inquiry, and his use of the autopen. Comer also held prolonged investigations of Hunter Biden. None of these purely partisan probes produce even a shred of evidence of any wrongdoing. But that hasn’t deterred Comer from trying again…and again…and again.

The Epstein hearings would be far more interesting and useful if Trump were subpoenaed to testify. Also other Trump allied folks like Steve Bannon, Ghislaine Maxwell, Alan Dershowitz, and Peter Theil. But Comer and the Republicans on the committee don’t seem to be interested in any of them. However, the Clintons are being threatened with contempt.

At this rate it won’t be long until Comer tries to drag President Obama into this. Or maybe Nancy Pelosi, or Jimmy Kimmel, or any other completely unrelated person that Trump despises and seeks vengeance against. That’s his modus operandi. And Comer is his obedient supplicant who does his bidding without question. Just like everyone in Trump’s Cabinet of shameless toadies, for whom the cause of serving justice has been supplanted by the devotion to serving Dear Leader.

Fox News Says ‘People Don’t Really Feel Bad’ About the High Cost of Living Caused By Trump

The debate over the state of the economy rages on. The problem is that it is a totally one-sided debate wherein Democrats are standing up for the welfare of the American people, and Republicans – at the behest of Donald Trump – are flagrantly lying. It’s bad enough that Republicans are being so fiercely dishonest. But it’s even worse that, with all the practice they get, they are still so bad at it.

Fox News, Maria Bartiromo, Donald Trump

The worst possible strategy for deceiving mass groups of people is to tell them something that they know from their own experience is false. Yet that is precisely what Trump and his GOP confederates are doing. Trump thinks he can convince the American people that they are not paying more for almost everything since his reoccupation of the White House. But that isn’t working for him. Trump is hitting the lows in polling on virtually every issue, and particularly the economy. In fact, even 37% of Trump’s own MAGA voters disapprove of the economy, and worse, they say that Trump is to blame.

SEE THIS: POOR BABY: Trump Whines that Polls Don’t Give Him Credit for ‘the Greatness of America’

Naturally, Trump’s Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News, is backing Trump up with some of the most pathetically unconvincing arguments imaginable. And leading the charge is Fox’s Senior Trump-Fluffer, Maria Bartiromo. She was on the program of Trump’s shadow chief of staff, Sean Hannity, on Friday night (video below) where she obediently disseminated the MAGA talking points that the economy is fantastic. and if it isn’t, it’s President Biden’s fault.

“People are frustrated with housing and the price of homes. People are frustrated with certain food items. But there are a number of things that President Trump has already been incredibly successful doing. So when he says this affordability issue is a hoax, he’s right! He’s basically talking about how the Democrats have taken this word ‘affordability’ and used it as their calling card for the 2026 elections.”

First of all, the only things that Trump “has been incredibly successful doing” is imposing inflationary tariffs, demolishing parts of the White House, deporting innocent migrants, and murdering fishermen in the Caribbean. His achievements with regard to the economy are nonexistent. And his spin on “affordability” is a bizarre mix of denial, blame-shifting, and taking undeserved credit. But Bartiromo was just getting started. In an attempt to explain away why Republicans are suffering in recent elections and public opinion polling, She continued…

“They think these Democrat wins that we just saw in Miami, in New York City, in other places like New Jersey, we shouldn’t be surprised that the Democrats won those races. These are all blue states and cities. So, it’s no surprise there.”

For the record, The Democrat who just won the mayoral race in Miami is the first Democrat to win there in 28 years. Also, five of the last ten governors of New Jersey were Republicans. Also, the Democrat who won the governorship in Virginia is succeeding a Republican. So these are not what an honest person would call “blue” cities and states. But Bartiromo was still not done…

“What is a surprise is that after all of these years, the Republicans keep getting rolled over by the Democrats’ messaging. I gotta tell you, I don’t think the people really feel as bad as the Democrats are talking about. The economy is doing well. There is $18 trillion of new investment that has come into this country.”

And there it is. Bartiromo is telling people that they are not feeling what they are feeling. That’s a fool’s game. She’s parroting her Dear Leader Trump who has been trying to persuade people that they are all prosperous and elated with what he is doing. Except that they have to limit the number of pencils they can buy, as well as the number of dolls for their children. And even Bartiromo admitted above that housing and grocery prices are unbearably burdesome.

Bartiromo also mentions the blatant lie that Trump has brought in $18 trillion via his ludicrous tariff (aka taxes) scheme. Even his own White House web page tracking his alleged receipts says it’s only half of that – $9.6 Trillion – which is a combined figure of both domestic and foreign items. And even that is grossly inflated and made up of uncertified pledges and unenforceable handshakes. Furthermore, what has been collected in tariffs is paid by American companies that import foreign goods, and then pass the cost on to American consumers.

That is what forms the basis of the Fox News conclusion that the economy is booming and, if people feel bad about it, they’re suffering from some sort of derangement. However, if Fox News and Trump and the GOP want to pursue this theme for their midterm election campaigns next year, they will surely have the approval of the Democrats running against them. So buckle up, America. It’s gonna be a bumpy ride.

Trump’s War on Christmas: White House Smears Santa with a ‘Naughty List’ of Trump’s Media Foes

Tis the season to be Jolly? Not according to Donald Trump and his White House communications cronies who are shaping his holiday message. To Trump it is the season to be a blithering jackass who spews vile invective and hateful harangues at his perceived enemies, and to spread misery far and wide across America and the world.

Donald Trump, Santa, Coronavirus

Two weeks ago Trump’s White House website debuted a “Media Bias” page, claiming that it would be keeping track of what Trump regards as “false, misleading, or biased” news reports. Although in Trump’s mush-mangled mind “biased” means anything that isn’t unreservedly exalting. Consequently, the page consists solely of the familiar media outlets that Trump bashes ad nauseum as “fake news” simply because they have the audacity to report the truth about Trump warts and…well, more warts.

No previous president has been as openly hostile to the notion of a free press as Trump, who frequently refers to the media in Stalinist terms as “the enemy of the people.” Trump’s animus toward honest journalism is evident in his knee-jerk and meritless lawsuits, and his infantile insults. And now he is escalating that hatred to encompass the once joyful holiday of Christmas.

In an extraordinarily repulsive display of seasonal assholery, Trump posted a video (now mysteriously deleted) of Santa Claus reviewing a Trump-defiled version of his “Naughty List.” The list was comprised of journalists and media outlets that Trump – not Santa – despises. It includes MS NOW, CBS News, Axios, The Bulwark, Carol Leonnig, Ken Dilanian, and Jake Tapper. The background music is the revered holiday classic, “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,” featuring the lyric “You better watch out.” Which sounds more like a threat in this context.

ICYMI — Trump’s White House posted a video of Santa’s “Naughty List” of media outlets/reporters (showing who is doing their jobs… a badge of honor) Nothing fascist or authoritarian about this at all!

It is thoroughly inappropriate, and even depraved, for the White House to post a video that does nothing but malign journalists and media outlets that Trump disapproves of. The White House and its communications platforms are the property of the American people, not the Trump Organization.

Trump is perverting its purpose in the manner of authoritarian regimes like Russia and North Korea. But then, since those countries and leaders are the ones that Trump most admires and seeks to emulate, it’s not especially surprising that he would sink this low. And what a heartwarming Christmas message this is for American kids.

POOR BABY: Trump Whines that Polls Don’t Give Him Credit for ‘the Greatness of America’

There is one thing that virtually every neutral observer of Donald Trump agrees on. He has a massive and fragile ego, and an insatiable appetite for constant attention and approval. It’s why he spends so much of his time exalting himself and forcing his flunkies to lavish him with fawning flattery at his staged reality show style pseudo-cabinet meetings.

Donald Trump, Wah

Naturally, with Trump’s profoundly advanced case of malignant narcissism, he requires uninterrupted infusions of worshipful adoration. When he isn’t getting a sufficient amount of it from his glassy-eyed subordinates, he looks to the press for more unfettered and decidedly undeserved accolades. And when he doesn’t get it there, he unleashes his pitifully impotent wrath.

SEE THIS: Trump Says it’s ‘Treasonous’ to Report His Frail Health, in a Post that Reveals His Frail Mind

On Thursday morning Trump was right where you would expect him to be, busily working hard on behalf of the American people by rage-posting incoherent comments on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social. On this occasion he was addressing an issue that has surely been of great concern to the nation: “Why am I not being venerated as much as I think I should be.” He complained that…

“I inherited a MESS from the Biden Administration — The Worst Inflation in History.”

This is an often repeated complaint by Trump. Never mind that it has no resemblance to reality. When President Biden left office the economy was booming. And although there had been an inflation problem a couple of years before, with it rising to about nine percent, the Biden administration had brought it down to about three percent, which is where it is today. So Trump has not improved it in the least. And he certainly had not reduced it to zero, as he claimed a bit later in the same comment…

“When will I get credit for having created, with No Inflation, perhaps the Greatest Economy in the History of our Country?”

Trump has a tendency to exaggerate everything he says in manner that inflates his preposterously high opinion of himself. By no means has he created “the Greatest Economy in the History of our Country.” To the contrary, the economy is sputtering on the brink of recession due to his inflationary tariffs (aka taxes) that serve no practical purpose. He also has a tendency to demand credit where none is due. That’s particularly ridiculous when he insists that he should be elevated in the polls, as he said a bit later in the same comment…

“When will Polls reflect the Greatness of America at this point in time?”

The answer to that question is that the polls will reflect America’s greatness when it has a president who can live up to it. Currently Trump’s polling is at the low point for both of his occupations of the White House. He is in negative territory on virtually every issue, including immigration, foreign policy, trade, and most problematic, the economy. As reported in The Hill

“The latest AP-NORC survey, released Thursday, found that just 31 percent of respondents said they approve of the president’s handling of the economy. That marks a 2 percentage point decrease relative to last month, a 9 point decline relative to March, and Trump’s lowest rating on the issue during his first or second term.”

[And that…]

“Inflation, which Trump had vowed to tackle on the campaign trail, was at 3 percent for the 12 months ending in September, an increase of 0.6 points relative to September 2024, BLS data shows. Inflation was also at 3 percent in January 2025, when the president returned to the Oval Office.”

It’s to be expected that Trump is blaming Biden for his own failures. However, the American people don’t agree with him. In fact. even 37% of Trump’s own voters disapprove of the economy and worse, they say that he is to blame. Which is probably why he is so furiously posting defensive comments on his own dedicate propaganda platform. But something tells me that that isn’t going to help him much.
