WTF? Fox News and GOP Clown Comer Launch a Gross Attack on Tim Walz and His ‘Scary Family’

His criticisms of Vice-President Kamala Harris continue to devolve into increasingly impotent insults that reflect more negatively on him than on her. He is resorting to bizarre conspiracy theories about the size of Harris’ rally crowds, and even more bizarre allegations that she is spying on him.

On Friday morning Fox took another stab at maligning the Democratic presidential ticket. This time they aimed their animus at Harris’ running mate, Gov. Tim Walz. And what they found was a real bombshell that could explode with the force of a falling eyelash.

In a segment with Fox News Senior Trump-Fluffer, Maria Bartiromo, the Republican chair of the House Oversight Committee, James Comer, revealed the damning discovery that Gov. Walz has what Comer calls “a scary family” …

“Yeah, that’s a scary family there. It looks like the type of family that’s been indoctrinated. They believe that there’s a better way to do business. Some of the things the Walz’s have said about China, their affection for China, that’s very concerning to me. Because we don’t want to set our business model like China. I mean, China’s already got too big of a foothold here in the United States.”

OH MY! Have you seen Gov. Walz’s family? They are like creatures straight out of “Night of the Living Kindly Neighbors” They’re the type of people you would expect to terrorize children with treats and tenderness and trips to the pony rides. It’s too awful to contemplate!

You really have to wonder what family Comer was thinking of. Certainly Walz’s immediate family in his Minnesota home are close and loving and have none of the “scary” attributes that Comer is asserting. Or maybe Comer was referring to Walz’s distant, pro-Trump relatives in Nebraska. They do look a little like some frightening cult members.

Comer’s complaints about Walz having some sort of nefarious connection to China are laughable. Yes, he did teach English there for a year, shortly after he graduated college. And that experience with Chinese children may have left him with some affectionate memories. But that is hardly evidence of “indoctrination” or a plot to “set our business model like China.”

Undeterred by common sense, or reality, Comer is known for his wild goose chases. He presided over ludicrous congressional probes of President Biden and his son Hunter. [Apparently Comer has a thing about going after people’s family members.] After months of pointless hearings, and millions of wasted taxpayer dollars, he never produced a shred of evidence of any wrongdoing. He was such a huge failure that a Newsmax host said he “looked like a joke,” and even Fox News chastised him…

What makes this all the more preposterous is that it is Donald Trump who has bent the knee to China. He brags about his close relationship with Chinese President Xi Jinping. He has numerous business dealings in China. And so do his kids, Ivanka, Eric, and Don Jr.

If anyone’s family should be subject to investigation, it’s Trump’s. But don’t hold your breath waiting for Comer to initiate one. That would require honesty, integrity, patriotism. Those are qualities that are anathema to Comer and the MAGA GOP.

Trump FREAKS OUT Over Report that He Was Hacked By Iran, So He Accuses Kamala Harris of Spying

Trump has always had a flare for melodrama. He ramps everything up to hyperbolic extremes in order to create an artificial buzz. But now his campaign is running solely on the fumes of his seething desperation. He is stuck in a downward spiral that threatens to drown him in ever deeper depths of delusion.

On Thursday morning Trump was grasping plaintively to a story about efforts by Iran to peddle stolen campaign materials. And naturally, Trump thoroughly mangled the facts so as to be unrecognizable to anyone with a toehold on reality. He posted to his floundering social media scam, Truth Social, two comments that were more than slightly unhinged…

1st: “WOW, JUST OUT! THE FBI CAUGHT IRAN SPYING ON MY CAMPAIGN, AND GIVING ALL OF THE INFORMATION TO THE KAMALA HARRIS CAMPAIGN. THEREFORE SHE AND HER CAMPAIGN WERE ILLEGALLY SPYING ON ME. TO BE KNOWN AS THE IRAN, IRAN, IRAN CASE! WILL KAMALA RESIGN IN DISGRACE FROM POLITICS? WILL THE COMMUNIST LEFT PICK A NEW CANDIDATE TO REPLACE HER?”

2nd: “WHEN DOES KAMALA AND HER CAMPAIGN GO BEFORE A GRAND JURY ON IRAN, IRAN, IRAN? MY CAMPAIGN WHEN THROUGH HELL ON THE RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA HOAX. THE BIG DIFFERENCE IS THAT THE IRAN/KAMALA CAMPAIGN CORRUPTION CASE IS REAL!”

Let’s examine this berserk outburst in some more detail, shall we? To begin with, the FBI did not catch “IRAN SPYING ON MY CAMPAIGN, AND GIVING ALL OF THE INFORMATION TO THE KAMALA HARRIS CAMPAIGN.” In fact, they only found that someone associated with Iran had improperly acquired materials from Trump’s campaign and attempted – unsuccessfully – to pass it on to President Biden’s campaign. It all occurred before Harris had become the nominee.

Harris, therefore, was not spying on Trump, and neither was Biden. That, however doesn’t stop a pathological liar like Trump from making reckless accusations of illegalities that exist only in his disease-rotted brain. So there is no reason for Harris to resign. Although Trump ought to consider it after making such flagrantly dishonest remarks and distorting the very serious matter of foreign governments trying to subvert American democracy.

Trump went on to ask “WHEN DOES KAMALA AND HER CAMPAIGN GO BEFORE A GRAND JURY ON IRAN, IRAN, IRAN?” All three of them? You have to wonder what causes Trump to have those weird, repetitious glitches. But more to the point, there are no grounds for a Grand Jury probe of Harris for one simple reason. Because, outside of his frenzied psychobabble, there is no evidence of any wrongdoing whatsoever.

Finally, Trump tries to tie his bogus contortion of this Iran story to the fully documented and treasonous acts involving his unsavory connections to Russia. And along with his blatant dishonesty, he is profoundly hypocritical with regard to making use of dirt compiled by hostile foreign countries. In 2019, George Stephanopoulos asked Trump whether he would use such materials or turn them over to the FBI. He replied that…

“I think maybe you do both. I think you might want to listen. There’s nothing wrong with listening. […] It’s not an [election] interference. They have information, I think I’d take it.”

Not only would Trump take such unscrupulously obtained info, he actually asked Vladimir Putin to hack Hillary Clinton’s email. This morning Trump also dispatched his campaign Senior Advisor, Tim Murtaugh, to Fox News to further spread his lies about the Iran hack. Murtaugh told Fox that…

“Of course the Iranians prefer Kamala Harris. Of course, because they have a pliant, sympathetic figure in her. The questions here today are: What exactly did the Harris campaign do with this stolen information that they were sent? What did they do with it? Did they try to shop it to the media. Did they use it in any way? This is absolutely election interference”

What exactly the campaign did with the information was to turn it over to the FBI. They didn’t use any of it. There isn’t even any evidence that they looked at it before reporting it. And this was even validated by – FOX NEWS! According to Fox…

“The Harris campaign addressed the revelation by federal agencies that individuals tied to the Biden campaign were targeted by Iranian actors with emails containing stolen Trump campaign materials [saying that] ‘We have cooperated with the appropriate law enforcement authorities since we were made aware that individuals associated with the then-Biden campaign were among the intended victims of this foreign influence operation.’ [and that] ‘We’re not aware of any material being sent directly to the campaign; a few individuals were targeted on their personal emails with what looked like a spam or phishing attempt.'”

[Fox also reported that] “In a joint statement released Wednesday, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), the FBI, and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) [said that] ‘There is currently no information indicating those recipients replied.’ [and that] A Harris campaign official told Fox News Digital that ‘the material was not used.'”

So Trump and his campaign knew precisely what the Harris campaign did before Trump and his flunky made public statements falsely accusing Harris of improprieties. Which means that they were all lying in order to smear Harris. That, of course, is nothing new for Trump and his cohorts. In fact, it is their standard mode of operation. But it is getting more transparent and tiresome and desperate as Election Day draws nearer. Expect that trend to continue right up until November 5th, and even beyond.

Trump Reassures America that He Really is Mentally Toasted in the Debate with Kamala Harris

The debate featured a strikingly effective strategy by Harris that could be called the “Just Let Trump Talk” gambit. And Trump bought into it hook, line, and sphincter. Throughout the 90 minute clash, Harris appeared confidant, controlled, informed, and at times amused. Trump, meanwhile, was well rehearsed at being himself. He maintained a persistent scowl, yelled absurdities, and engaged in infantile name-calling.

Those who didn’t watch the debate missed some classic Trumpisms that were mostly rehashes of the malarkey that he spews at his cult rallies. For instance, Trump…

  • Got triggered by Harris’ reference to his crowd sizes.
    He has always been sensitive about “size.” And they keep getting smaller and more bored
  • Denied praising Nazis in Charlottesville, saying to just ask Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity, and Jesse Watters.
    Because his Fox News flunkies are such credible sources.
  • Pushed the completely debunked story of pets being eaten by Haitian migrants in Ohio.
    He is desperately pivoting from childless cat ladies to migrant cat eaters.
  • Cited Hungarian dictator Viktor Orbán as a character reference.
    Whenever Trump needs moral support, he seeks out his authoritarian idols.
  • Has no regrets about his actions, or lack thereof, on January 6, and blames Nancy Pelosi
    He gleefully watched the carnage on TV for nearly 3 hours, doing nothing to stop it. And it is the president who is in charge of law enforcement in D.C., not the Speaker of the House.
  • Still thinks he won in 2020.
    Despite being unable to provide a shred of evidence after 4 years and 60+ court cases.

In a more sane era, every one of those items would produce several days (weeks?) of news, and likely sink the candidate. But the media seems intent on “sane-washing” trump’s psychological deficiencies. And while, most observers agree that Harris dominated Trump throughout the debate and won on substance and style, everyone from MAGA-Land (including Trump) is bashing the moderators. That’s a sure sign that you know you lost.

Trump’s responses to questions typically meandered through an incomprehensible swamp of deflections and delusions. For instance, in response to a question about his having killed an immigration bill, Trump detoured to defending the size of his rallies, accusing Harris of paying her rally attendees, making daft threats of imminent World War III, and then launched into the ghastly pet eating myth in Springfield, Ohio. For the record…

However, for brazen dishonesty, and pure mush-brained idiocy, nothing comes close to the rant by Trump about how he would resolve the war in Ukraine. He never actually answered that question. But he railed maniacally as he repeated provably false assertions about Harris having met with Vladimir Putin to negotiate a deal to avoid his invasion.

“They sent her to negotiate peace before this war started. Three days later he went in and they started the war because everything they said was weak and stupid…She was the emissary. They sent her to negotiate with Zelenskyy and Putin. And she did. And the war started three days later…But let me tell you something, she is a horrible negotiator. They sent her in to negotiate. As soon as she left Putin did the invasion.”

Literally every word of that is a lie. Harris replied simply and calmly by stating only that “I said at the beginning of this debate that you will hear a bunch of lies coming from this fella, and that is another one.” Then she gave a thoughtful commentary on the importance of preserving America’s relationship with its international allies. Something Trump never understood. To the contrary, he alienated our allies and sucked-up to our enemies.

The morning after the debate, Trump phoned in to Fox and Friends to whine some more. And he went farther than just attacking ABC News moderators. He went after the network like a good totalitarian wannabe, saying that “They ought to take away their license.” He’s giving a preview of what to expect if he becomes “they.”

Trump is also squelching any talk of doing another debate. Which is another sign of his fear of facing off with Harris again. He even balked at a Fox news debate, unless it is moderated by Sean Hannity or Jesse Watters or Laura Ingraham. Yeah, that’ll happen.

These are surely strange times politically. And it’s difficult to make reliable predictions about the future. But if there is any justice in this world – and not just the kind that has already ruled against Trump criminally and civilly, but moral justice – Trump will lose in a landslide in November. But for that to happen, the American people must make a commitment to working hard for that outcome. This is no time to relax. It aint over till it’s over. LFG!

Fox News is Making Excuses for Trump Losing the Debate with Kamala Harris Before it Even Begins

Harris, who is taking her participation in this ritual of democracy seriously, has been studying the issues and developing strategy. Trump, who regards himself as an infallible reservoir of the world’s knowledge, has been insulting Harris as “dumb” and whining about everything being rigged against him. So much so that he had fight to keep voters from hearing what he actually says.

Trump isn’t the only one who is afraid of how poorly he will perform, and how bad he will look in comparison to Harris. Fox News is also fearful that Trump will not measure up to Harris, who can actually articulate complex subjects that matter to the American people, and form coherent sentences. Trump, on the other hand, is demonstrating ever more severe lapses in mental acuity.

On Tuesday morning Fox News began their pre-cleaning operation to explain in advance why Trump will/has lost the debate hours before it began. The following exchange between Fox host Harris Faulkner and her MAGA guest Gianno Caldwell says a lot about how pessimistic the Fox team is…

Caldwell: I don’t believe that Kamala Harris is coming ready to play. She’s relying on the media to support her. And certainly with ABC giving 100% positive coverage for her, 98% negative for Donald Trump, We already know what the table looks like.
Faulkner: I think we learned too at that interview where he was with the Black journalists in Chicago and ABC News had the first question on that one didn’t even acknowledge that he had survived an assassination attempt not too long before. … We know a little bit of what we potentially could get.

Where Caldwell got the impression that Harris isn’t “coming ready to play” is a mystery. On other programs Fox has reported that she was holed up in a hotel room working on her debate prep. Which they put a negative spin on, suggesting that only idiots need to waste time preparing. So according to Fox, Harris is bad for preparing, and bad for not preparing.

What’s more, Caldwell and Faulkner both have no basis whatsoever for alleging any bias on the part of the debate host, ABC News. It is just their knee-jerk reaction to any media enterprise, which they regard as “the enemy of the people” because Trump told them so.

Faulkner then attacked ABC News because a reporter asked Trump a question at a conference of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) about the blatant racism that has been aimed at Harris. Apparently Faulkner thinks that asking Trump about a scratch on his ear is more relevant to the NABJ’s members than a question about systemic bigotry.

Both Faulkner and Caldwell are executing a plan that was surely devised in Fox’s morning editorial meeting. They are attempting to preemptively explain why Trump will fare so badly at the debate that will take place later that evening. They obviously know that Trump is an unstable person, with a tenuous grasp of issues – and reality – who can safely be predicted to humiliate himself. So they are making excuses for it to their flock of MAGA viewers ahead of his anticipated meltdown.

For his part, Trump was continuing his “preparation” for the debate by rage-posting on his failing social media scam, Truth Social. And even as Fox News was defending him, he was attacking Fox…

“Why does FoxNews keep putting on, for endless periods of time, Michael Tyler, Kamala’s publicist, who spews nothing but lies – like Project 2025, etc. Fox tries to be so politically correct, when the other side plays for keeps. RIDICULOUS!!!”

Trump is OUTRAGED that Fox News would interview Michael Tyler, the Director for Communications in the Harris Campaign. And it’s especially funny that a pathological liar like Trump can accuse anyone else of “spew[ing] nothing but lies.” Particularly when the examples that Trump gives are so plainly truthful comments about Trump’s Project 2025.

We can all expect Trump to deliver another of his patented debacles during this debate. And likewise, we can expect Fox News to try to clean up after him. Which is a job that isn’t getting any easier as Trump continues his downward spiral. And he’s going to drag a lot of others down with him before he’s done. For which we should probably thank him.

BLAME AMERICA FIRST: Fox News Attacks U.S. in Response to Reports of Russian Election Interference

Ever since Donald Trump became a candidate for political office, he has had the distinction and disgrace of garnering support from shady characters affiliated with some of America’s most virulent enemies. In both 2016 and 2020, Trump’s campaigns were aided by his pal and idol, Vladimir Putin, who took an active role in efforts to undermine American democracy.

The 2024 presidential election is expected to have some of those same nefarious players on Trump’s team. Their unambiguous purpose is to bolster Trump’s electoral aspirations, while torpedoing Kamala Harris with slanderous lies and wholly fabricated allegations. Since they can’t find anything honest and substantive to criticize her for, they resort to pure fiction and fear mongering.

On Wednesday reports emerged about Russia’s continuing efforts to interfere in American elections. However, these latest reports reveal that the U.S. government is doing something affirmative about it. As reported by MSNBC…

“The Biden administration is taking a series of actions to target what they allege are Russian-backed actors to manipulate public opinion here in the U.S. ahead of the presidential election, according to two senior U.S, officials. […]

“[Ken Dilanian:] This is being described as a whole of government action designed to target Russian propaganda and disinformation aimed at interfering in the 2024 election. It’s said to include sanctions by the Treasury Department, law enforcement action by the Justice Department, and one of the focuses is on [Russian-funded propaganda network] RT [that] was tagged back in 2017 as a vehicle for Russian disinformation and election interference. And at that time the government required RT to register as a foreign agent.”

This news isn’t exactly groundbreaking because we know that Russia has been doing this for years, with the knowledge, approval, and even coordination with the Trump camp and the GOP. But what makes it even worse is that our foreign foes and their domestic flunkies are aided and abetted by Fox News. When Fox reported these actions by the U.S. against Russia’s interference in our election, their hosts, Harris Faulkner and Steve Hilton, wasted no time in deflecting blame from Russia and casting it on America (video below)….

Faulkner: Just this hour we can confirm that the Biden administration plans to accuse Russia of a sustained effort to influence the 2024 presidential election. And that it will do so using state-run media and other online platforms to target U.S. voters with disinformation. It’s expected that the U.S. will make a series of moves today to address those issues. Talk to me. Why is that suddenly a concern now?
Hilton: That’s the truth about all of this in this world that we live in today, which is you have Iran doing this, you have China doing this, and frankly, we do it to other countries as well. […] Yet, just at this time, the Biden-Harris administration raises the specter once again of Russian interference. […]
Faulkner: That’s such a great question. And it’s contextually very important. We have 51 intelligence agents agree to the fact that the Hunter Biden laptop wasn’t real.

Rather than express outrage that Russia is once again trying to undermine American democracy, Faulkner’s immediate reaction was to cast suspicion on the U.S. for doing something about it. As if taking action while the election is in progress and vulnerable to Russia’s tactics is in itself evil. And she reaches back to the irrelevant matter of Hunter Biden’s laptop. Which, by the way, no one ever said wasn’t real. They only said that the hype surrounding it was generated by Russian trolls. Which is true.

Hilton went further down the “Blame America” trail to accuse the FBI, the CIA, and the Department of Justice of being “totally biased and in the tank and trying to stop Donald Trump from being elected.” Then the two of them continued saying that…

Faulkner: It also gives the left that familiar mantra of Russia, Russia, Russia. They’re not gonna concentrate on the areas where our own people fell down on protecting our elections. […]
Hilton: We cannot trust them. We need a complete clear out. They are institutionally corrupted.

So according to these treasonous cretins, evidence of Russia committing crimes against the American people is irrelevant, except as a trigger to attack the U.S. for imaginary election fraud for which they have never been able to produce any proof. In fact, their lies on the subject cost them 3/4 of billion dollars in a defamation settlement. They are so devoted to their anti-American views that they are incapable of defending the nation against foreign enemies. To the contrary, they are driven to malign the U.S. and its institutions.

That is a perspective that runs through the Republican Party and that has been nurtured by Trump’s animosity toward America and his aversion to democracy. It would make sense for the U.S. government, while slapping sanctions on Russia and its propaganda outlets like RT, to do the same with Fox News. In fact, Fox should have been labeled a foreign agent many years ago.

As Harris continues her surprisingly successful sprint to the finish line in the 2024 election, her enemies at Fox News and other MAGA media outlets are frantically fishing for anything that might slow her momentum. And so far they are only reeling in anemic strands of kelp. And they have to strain mightily for that.

The desperation at Fox News is evident in the far-fetched fantasies that they are inventing to disparage Harris. They have already tried to malign her for not having interviews with the mainstream press that has worked so diligently to artificially inflate the criticisms of her Republican foes, while dismissing the deplorable comments and flagrant lies of Donald Trump.

Naturally, Fox News is at the front of the line to launch hostile and vacant attacks on Harris. And on Tuesday morning they provided an outstanding example of their info-excrement. Fox News host Todd Piro introduced a segment with video of Harris ascending the stairs of her campaign plane. The theme of this segment was that Harris was attempting to avoid questions from press. But Piro and his guest, right-wing hack Kaylee McGee White, just made up what they regarded as the key evidence of their allegation.

Piro: Kamala Harris is now being called out for a new tactic of avoiding questions from reporters by wearing ear buds, the move sparking outrage on social media.
White: My favorite part about this was when she has the wired earphones in and at one point when she was walking up the stairs to the plane she holds her phone up to her ear as if she was taking a phone call when it was very clear that she already had ear buds in. The whole thing doesn’t make sense.

To be clear, those who Piro says “called out,” Harris and drew “outrage on social media,” is actually just Fox News themselves, and the random wingnuts they find on Twitter. They’re using their own lying flunkies to prove their lies. But the video of Harris boarding the plane shows something completely different than what they are alleging. Here is the clip provided by frequent Fox guest Monica Crowley…

Near the end of this video you can see Harris raise her hand to her head. But she is not putting the phone to her ear. The phone is clearly resting on her cheek. It is her finger that is on her ear, so as to better hear what is in her ear buds. In other words, the Foxies are asking their viewers to disbelieve what they can see with their own eyes, and instead believe their obviously phony voiceovers.

What’s more, some of the online critics complained that Harris was using wired ear buds at all. They accused her of being out of touch with modern technology. However, the truth is that they are out of touch with modern communications security. Government officials are directed to use wired headsets because the wireless Bluetooth ones are vulnerable to hackers who could intercept and eavesdrop on their calls.

The reason that Fox News is focusing on nonsense like this is that they can’t find anything substantive to criticize Harris for. Which is also the reason that Harris is gaining in popularity and rising in the polls. Which is driving Fox News and Trump crazy – or crazier, as the case may be. And as election day approaches we can expect them to get worse. Much worse. So make sure to have plenty of popcorn – and Tylenol – on hand.

The obsession that Trump has for imposing stiff mandates on approved rhetoric and viewpoints was evident during his occupation of the White House when he placed devoted sycophants and members of his family (Ivanka and Jared Kushner) into the most prominent advisory roles. And it continues to be his modus operandi as he aspires to acquire an even greater abuse of power.

When Trump made his daughter-in-lawlessness, Lara Trump, the co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC), he obviously wasn’t looking for experience or ability. Because Lara had none of either. Her most notable achievements were ripping off a charity, butchering a Tom Petty song, and alienating Republicans not named Trump.

On Sunday morning Lara visited with Fox News Senior Trump Flunky, Maria Bartiromo, to discuss the game-changing endorsement of Trump by conspiracy crackpot and brain-worm host, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. In the process Lara demonstrated her deft …er, make that daft… skills at electoral camapign strategies. Bartiromo asked Lara “How important was the RFK, Jr support?” A simple question that should pose no problem for a seasoned party leader. But this Lara Trump’s reply…

I think it’s huge. And I think the Democrats are very upset about that and that’s great. And I actually think he did a great thing when he came out and said not just ‘I’m endorsing Donald Trump, but here’s why. Because Democrats are a threat to our country. I cannot associate with a party that has been in my family, and is integral to my family and who we are for my entire life.’ And I thought it amazing to see him come out, I think you’re gonna see with any swing states where he has taken himself off the ballot, that the percentage bump that I believe it will give Donald Trump is going to be huge. And I think you’ll see that in the next round of polling.

Let’s begin with Lara’s contention that RFK, Jr’s endorsement will be “huge.” There is no data whatsoever that supports that theory. He is presently drawing a pitiful 5% in recent polls, and those are not necessarily voters are are transferable to Trump. Whatever shifts in his voters probably already took place in the weeks since Kamala Harris became the Democratic candidate, and those that remain in his camp will likely be non-voters in November.

As for Lara’s notion that “Democrats are very upset,” she appears to have pulled that straight out of her asinine impression that she has the slightest idea what Democrats are feeling. She might want to check with how Kamala Harris reacted to RFK, Jr approaching her campaign prior to selling out to Trump…

Lara followed that up with a quote that she attributed to RFK, Jr. that he “cannot associate with” the Democratic Party that has been “integral” to his family. However, the rest of his family is vehemently opposed to his endorsement – and to Trump. They made a point of saying so publicly…

“”We want an America filled with hope and bound together by a shared vision of a brighter future, a future defined by individual freedom, economic promise and national pride. We believe in Harris and Walz,” the statement continued. “Our brother Bobby’s decision to endorse Trump today is a betrayal of the values that our father and our family hold most dear. It is a sad ending to a sad story.”

Lara went on to claim that her Sugardaddy-in-Law would get a huge percentage bump with this endorsement. Which Trump would likely dispute. After all, he believes that he alone holds the greatness to inspire the gazillions of disciples who adore him. Everyone else is just running on his fumes. Although, she allowed a bit of light to filter through when she conceded that “the next round of polling” would be more favorable to Trump. That’s unlikely, but she is, in effect, admitting that the current round of polling sucks for him.

What’s more, why should Trump get any bump from a candidate that he himself called “a Democrat ‘Plant,’ a Radical Left Liberal who’s been put in place in order to help Crooked Joe Biden”?

By putting Lara Trump in charge of the GOP, Papa Trump did a big favor – for Democrats. She is proving to be as incompetent, dishonest, and disreputable as most other members of Trump’s immediate family. And her contributions to Trump’s candidacy will be remembered and appreciated by Kamala Harris and other Democrats for at least the next four years.

BONKERS TRUMP Calls Fox News to Whine and Lie Following the Kamala Harris Convention Speech

The Democratic National Convention of 2024 has wrapped and it is destined to reside in history for a multitude of reasons. Not the least of which is that it certified the nomination of Kamala Harris, who is likely to become the first woman President of the United States. The four day celebration was well received by a nation that is ready to move forward.

Trump in Bed, Eating, Sad

The convention was an affair that presented the stark differences between Harris – an experienced, qualified candidate, with integrity and passion, who resonates joy and the pride of patriotism, and Donald Trump – a convicted felon and adjudicated rapist who is consumed by hatred, vengeance, and a dark vision of America. And the lower Trump sinks in the polls, the darker his vision becomes.

The final day of the convention featured Harris’ nomination acceptance speech (here it is in full). It was a critical moment for her campaign, and she rose to the occasion. She provided a heartwarming biography, a resume of experience and achievements, the case against Trump, and inspiration for the path forward. All in a succinctly written and sincerely delivered package.

Meanwhile, Trump was seething in his jammies at his Mar-a-Lago bunker and live-trolling the speech on his floundering social media scam, Truth Social, for the tiny and shrinking audience of cult disciples who actually use the website. Here is a representative sampling of his keen commentary…

At the conclusion of Harris’ speech, Fox News dispensed with reporting on anything newsworthy that might have occurred. Instead, hosts Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum immediately turned to a special guest for some “insightful” analysis. That guest was – you guessed it – Donald Trump. He was phoning in to the network from his Palm Beach hotel/home for a knee-jerk repudiation of whatever Harris had to say. And it was ten minutes of spittle-inflected lunacy and unbridled fear (video below). What follows are some choice excerpts. He began by asking a typically ridiculous question…

“Why didn’t she do the things that she’s complaining about? All of these things that she talked about? ‘We are gonna to do this. We’re gonna do that. We’re gonna do everything.’ But she didn’t do any of it. She could have done it three and a half years ago.”

So Trump thinks that Harris, as Vice-President, ought to have accomplished everything that she is currently advocating. He can’t comprehend that she might have new proposals or that prior initiatives were incomplete due to obstruction from Republicans. He also doesn’t realize that the same question could be asked of him. He had four years to do everything he’s talking about now, but failed to do. And he was actually the president. Also, Trump is intent on framing Harris as “complaining.” Which he’s likely upset about because that’s his thing. How dare she?

“It was a lot of complaining. […] She didn’t talk about how 70% of our people are living in property (sic: he presumably meant poverty). […] She didn’t talk about child trafficking that she allowed to happen because she was the border czar.”

Perhaps the reason that Harris didn’t talk about the “70% of our people are living in poverty,” is that that is a preposterous falsehood. The poverty rate is currently less than 12%. Also, Trump must have fallen asleep when Harris actually did talk about child trafficking. And she was never the “border czar.” That’s a tired right-wing fallacy.

In this part of his rant Trump also lied that Harris didn’t talk about several other issues (Russia, China, Ukraine, economy, housing, etc.), all of which she talked about. He also claimed that she didn’t talk about interest rates that he said “are getting now close to record rates.” Interest rates are currently about 5.5%. The record is about 20%.

MacCallum then asked about Harris’ proposed middle-class tax cuts and Trump’s plans that will cost Americans $3,900.00 more per year. And she incorrectly states that that number came from Trump’s Project 2025. To which Trump replied…

“Well she knows I have nothing to do with Project 25 (sic). They throw out – a group of people got together – they did this thing, I haven’t even seen it, I don’t want to see it, I told them specifically, I don’t want to see it.”

First of all, the amount of the Trump taxes didn’t come from Project 2025. They came from Trump’s proposal to put tariffs on virtually every imported product. And as for his ignorance of Project 2025, the facts are that its principals are largely Trump associates who have worked in his White House and campaigns. Which doesn’t necessarily mean that he isn’t ignorant anyway, knowing Trump.

Baier then asked Trump about his efforts to kill the bipartisan Senate immigration bill, and whether he was ready to debate Kamala Harris on that. He went immediately to a narrower reply about debating, saying that he was “willing to debate on September 4th on Fox.” Which was never agreed to by Harris.

After rambling incoherently about that, Baier reminded Trump about the immigration question.

“On the immigration it’s very simple. The bill was horrible. It would have allowed millions of people to pour into our country. Would have been horrible. It was a horrible bill.”

That’s about as detailed as Trump can get on anything. He has no knowledge of any issue. What’s more, it is flagrantly false. The immigration bill’s primary author was conservative Republican Sen. James Lankford. And it included most of the GOP’s long sought border initiatives.

MacCallum asked Trump about polls showing the “huge appeal and momentum” that Harris has had, and her success with women, Hispanics, Blacks, and youth. Which drove Trump into a delusional tizzy…

“No, she’s not having success. I’m having success. I’m doing great with the Hispanic voters. I’m doing great with Black men. I’m doing great with women because women want safety. They want safety. And they don’t have safety when they have somebody allowing 20 million people into our country. Many of them very dangerous people.

“No, it’s only in your eyes that they have that, Martha. We’re doing very well in the polls. We’re leading in most of the polls. And in the swing states we’re leading in almost every one of them.”

Wow! Trump’s malignant narcissism is really peaking. He is clinging desperately to fantasies that everyone adores him. And if he actually believes what he’s saying about leading in the polls, he is truly a candidate for involuntary institutionalization. In the RealClear Politics poll of polls, Harris is leading in 7 out 10 of the ten most recent surveys. And two of those where Trump is ahead are by the disreputable Rasmussen.

Look for Trump to get even more deranged as his electoral prospects continue to decline. And watch for that to be aired as it happens on Fox News. In recent weeks he has gone from calling Harris “Laffin’ Kamala,” to “Comrade Kamala.” in this phone-in to Fox News he raged “Look, she’s a Marxist. She always was. She always will be.” It won’t be long now before he accuses her of being Lizard Person who is controlled by Hannibal Lector.

Fox News Sort of Fact Checks Trump’s Lie that Kamala Harris Met Putin Before He Invaded Ukraine

for the past several weeks, Donald Trump has virtually abandoned his campaign to avoid prison …er… his campaign for president. He has scaled down his public appearances, limiting the number of attendees to a few hard core cult disciples and members of the MAGA media. His television interviews have been conducted mainly by phone.

Either Trump is afraid to go out in public after his “ear death” experience in July. Or he is just too old and physically debilitated to keep up a normal campaign schedule. So now he just does these interviews in his pajamas at his Palm Beach hotel/home. His retreat into his Mar-a-Lago bunker may also be due to his suffering from depression as a result of having fallen behind Kamala Harris in most polls since the torch was passed to her by President Biden.

On Thursday morning Trump called in to Fox News for another tele-fluffing by the “Curvy Couch” potatoes at Fox and Friends. These segments are usually nothing more than free advertising and in-kind campaign contributions that Fox should be required to report to the Federal Election Commission. And this one was no exception, except for one small portion wherein Fox’s Brian Kilmeade went rogue with something that Fox News never does: A Fact Check.

Trump: Biden sent ‘Comrade’ Kamala to see Putin in Russia three days before the attack. She went, she said, she gave her case. He attacked three days later. He attacked three days later. He laughed at her. He thought she was a joke.
Kilmeade: Just as a quick clarification, we don’t have confirmation that the Vice-President went to Russia to meet with Vladimir Putin. I know that she went over to Europe right before the incursion when Russia invaded Ukraine. And it’s a war that’s still going on right now.
Ainsley Earhardt: I’ve heard that said a lot. You don’t have confirmation that that’s true?
Kilmeade: No I don’t know if the Vice-President ever met Vladimir Putin.

For the record, Harris has indeed never met with Putin. Trump is manufacturing that meeting from thin air. Kilmeade is correct that Harris went to Europe prior to Russia invading Ukraine. She went to a security conference in Munich where she met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, among other world leaders.

While it is commendable – and for Fox News a bit shocking – that Kilmeade offered any “clarification” at all, it is notable that he didn’t do it while Trump was still on the line and able to be pressed for a response. Not that Trump would have conceded that he was lying. He would likely have just whined that it was fake news, insulted Kilmeade, and hung up.

It is also notable that Earhardt tried to give Trump’s lie some credibility by saying that she has “heard that said a lot.” It would be interesting to find out from where she allegedly heard it. There are no accounts of any meetings between Harris and Putin, even on right-wing news sites. Perhaps she heard it from – you know – Trump. Because he told the very same lie on Wednesday in his speech in North Carolina…

“Remember when Joe Biden sent Kamala to Europe to stop the war in Ukraine? She met with Putin and then three days later, he attacked. How did she do? Do you think she did a good job? She met with Putin to tell him, ‘Don’t do it.’ And three days later, he attacked. That’s when the attack started.”

Actually, Harris did a very good job. Her job at the Munich conference was to solidify the alliance among our European allies in opposition to Russia’s anticipated aggression. To Harris’ credit, that alliance remains strong to this day. It is Trump who continues to take Putin’s side in the war.

Trump’s pathological dishonesty exceeds the boundaries of conventional liars. He doesn’t merely twist facts to fit his narrative. He composes fantastical fictions that bear no resemblance whatsoever to reality. And while Fox News tip-toed into a fact check on this occasion, they did it with absurd caveats and without confronting Trump. But then, does anyone expect anything more from either of them?

Jesse Watters, Fox News

That’s right. The veil is being removed. The curtain is being pulled back. The secrets that have been hidden away in dusty cellars are about to be revealed by the one man at Fox News who has seen through the cons and conspiracies, Jesse Watters. Only he can expose the plots orchestrated by the Obama machine. Just like he did with the election of 2020 that Trump continues to insist was “rigged and stolen.”

On Tuesday’s episode of Fox’s “The Five,” Watters revealed that he had become suspicious of weird “vibes” going on. And who would know better? But he wasn’t gonna sit still for it. He knew there was something fishy in the works, and he knew who was behind it. He told his confederates on the program, and any rubes who happened to be watching, that…

“There is a weird vibe going on. I can’t figure it out. But I will tell you this. Barack Obama is still the godfather of this machine. He gave us Joe Biden as VP. He gave us Hillary [Clinton] as Secretary of State. Then he ‘coup’ed’ Joe, put all his ‘boys’ with Kamala’s team, and had his wingman Holder vet Walz.

“Now he’s at a young 63. He’s gonna be doing this for the next 25 years. He’s definitely gonna interfere in this election. That’s why we will be sending Johnny to Hawaii to get the truth about the birth certificate. This time we will dig deep and find out what really happened.”

HOLY SHIH TZU! It has been Obama all along. Watters remains convinced that Obama was born in Kenya and he grew up to engineer a takeover of America. And just because all of that is patently insane – and has been debunked a thousand times – Watters isn’t going to be deterred.

If this tells us anything about Fox News, and the MAGA malarkey they disseminate, it’s that they have absolutely no rational arguments with which criticize Democrats. So they are clinging desperately to ancient absurdities like the ludicrous “birther” hoax and nonexistent election fraud. That’s in between complaining about Democrats eating ice cream, wearing tan suits, hugging their families, or just generally being joyful. Something that is apparently anathema to Republicans.

In the process, Watters and his ilk manufacture myths about evil masterminds like Obama pulling all the strings behind closed doors. And if that isn’t bad enough, Watters frames the imaginary racket in blatantly racist terms as being run by Obama’s “boys,” who, along with his Black accomplices, Kamala Harris and Eric Holder, staged a “coup” against the White president, Joe Biden, who voluntarily stepped aside and endorsed his VP.

Now, in Watters’ warped mind, anything that anyone does to advance the Harris campaign, he will characterize as election interference. Which Trump also does. But that won’t apply to his own mission to dispatch “Johnny” to Hawaii to probe the asinine birther allegations. Nor to Trump’s firehose of insults and lies that he disgorges an a daily (hourly) basis. When it comes right down to it, the whole thing is just WEIRD!
