Trump’s Lie-Riddled Juneteenth Tweetstorm Ignores Juneteenth, Threatens Protesters

It’s Juneteenth, and in celebration of this profoundly significant day in American history Donald Trump took the time to unleash a stream of hostile, egocentric, lie-riddled tweets. So it’s pretty much like every other day in Trump World. He utterly ignored the day’s meaning and memory in favor of paying tribute to himself and maligning his perceived enemies.

Donald Trump, Toilet, Bathrobe

At the top of Trump’s list of priorities was his determination to slander any protesters who might show up at his cult rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma. You know, the one where he’s purposefully exposing his cult followers to the coronavirus in a state that just reported a record high infection rate. His tweet was another demonstration of his anti-American aspirations of tyranny.

Notice that Trump associates lawful, constitutionally protected protesters with “looters” and “lowlifes,” because that’s exactly what he thinks of people petitioning the government for justice and liberty. And his assurance that they will not be treated like they were previously (which was also pretty awful) is an undisguised threat of more violence. That’s all the more offensive considering that this threat was made on Juneteenth, in a city that was the site of a brutal massacre of African-Americans.

Not to worry. Trump hasn’t forgotten to tell his Twitterati that he will have “big crowds” and that his campaign is just beginning. Never mind that he actually began his reelection campaign the same day he was inaugurated three and half years ago. That campaign is floundering desperately today as every poll shows that Trump is trailing Joe Biden nationally, as well as in the crucial swing states. He is losing in nearly every demographic category, including among normally reliable supporters like suburban women and evangelicals. His support among non-white voters has never been worse. That’s partly due to his flagrant racism and tweets like this one:

So after the Supreme Court ruled against his abhorrent attempt to deport Dreamers, Trump has the audacity to say that he “wanted to take care of DACA recipients better than” Democrats. Seriously? If that were true he wouldn’t be saying even now that “We will be submitting enhanced papers shortly” to finish the job of deporting these innocent Americans who know no other home. This has been a signature issue with Trump, which explains his outrage that the Court he thought he had under his thumb displayed some measure of independence.

Furthermore, Trump’s toxic fury is not reserved for the Supreme Court (or protesters, or John Bolton, or Joe Biden, or the press, or anyone or anything else that doesn’t bow down to him). He is also mad at his State TV network (aka Fox News) for publishing a poll that shows him losing to Biden by a whopping twelve points. The poll also shows Trump’s approval in the red by negative thirteen points, while Biden is positive by nine points. Almost every question in the poll has bad results for Trump. Which explains this tweet:

For the record, Trump has made this complaint before, but it’s always a deeply hypocritical whining session aimed at nudging Fox News into being even more reverential. He only thinks that “Fox is terrible” when they publish something that fails to sufficiently worship him as the Messiah he considers himself to be. But he continues to grant interviews almost exclusively to Fox because he knows they will pitch him softballs and ignore his flaming gaffes.

SIDE NOTE: A few days ago CNN posted a poll that also showed Trump trailing Biden by twelve points. So Trump sent them a “cease and desist” letter and threatened to sue the network for…oh, who the hell knows what. It will be interesting to see if he sends Fox News a similar letter. But don’t hold your breath.

Finally, Trump posted a couple of tweets accusing Democrats of false advertising. As usual, he neglected to provide any examples, or to offer any arguments to refute whatever the heck it is he’s whining about. But he did make blatantly false assertions that “China is paying us $BILLIONS” (actually that’s ZERO), and that he “LOVE[s] Seniors & protect Preexisting C’s” (he is currently suing to terminate Obamacare, including preexisting c[onditions]). In other words, it’s business as usual in the Trump White House where lying, insults, and undeserved boasting has replaced being presidential and serving the American people.

Raging Malignant Narcissism: Trump Whines that ‘the Supreme Court Doesn’t Like Me’

With each new day there is new evidence that Donald Trump is descending into an abyss of paranoia and mental infirmity. These are symptoms of malignant narcissism, along with acute sociopathy, unchecked aggression, and delusions of grandeur. It is abundantly clear that Trump is unfit for office and represents an imminent danger to the nation and the world.

Donald Trump, Twitter

Trump is freaking out again on Twitter. This time his tantrum was triggered by the Supreme Court ruling that his attempt to terminate the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) was “arbitrary and capricious,” and therefore unconstitutional. He unleashed a stream of tweets complaining about the decision without offering any legal basis for his position. However he did tweet this very revealing message:

Well, do you? More likely you get the impression that Trump internalizes everything as an attack on him personally. It’s the sort of obsessive whining that he has actually bragged about and has become emblematic of his irreparably fractured and intensely flawed personality disorder. He has also explicitly complained in the past that All I see is hatred of me.”

One of the most consistent features of Trump’s character (or lack thereof), is how predictably and viciously he will turn against anyone who isn’t unflinchingly loyal and slavishly adoring. That has been observed in his broken relationships with former staffers (Kelly, Mattis, McMasters, Tillerson, Sessions, etc). It has also been seen in his love/hate relationship with Fox News.

Most recently Trump has turned against his former National Security Advisor, John Bolton. In a series of Thursday morning tweets, Trump ranted that Bolton’s book is “a compilation of lies and made up stories, all intended to make me look bad.” Notice that Trump is again consumed with how things make him look. But his assertion that the book is “pure fiction” destroys his case that it contains classified material.

Trump also elevated his hostility toward the Supreme Court decisions into a bizarre screed about the Second Amendment tweeting that the decisions “are shotgun blasts into the face of people,” and threatened that “we will lose our 2nd. Amendment & everything else.” This, of course, is simply a wild swing at corralling his most rabid base-dwellers with nothing but blatant fear mongering. Which is likely to work on the few remaining dimwitted Deplorables who worship him as their Messiah. However, the imagery of faces bloodied by shotgun blasts as an argument against the Court’s rulings is not likely to appeal to most Americans.

The Supreme Court has surprised many people with its decisions on DACA, sanctuary cities, LGBTQ+ rights, and the census. But the Court remains a conservative body with a 5 to 4 right-wing majority. Trump should be optimistic that most of their decisions will fall into the conservative camp on party line votes. But because he isn’t getting 100% submissiveness from the judicial branch, he is bellowing frantically about the loss of “everything” and begging his cult to support him at the ballot box in November.

The only problem with that, from Trump’s perspective, is that everything he is doing and saying is driving voters farther away from his candidacy, as well as those of other Republicans running for the House, Senate, and state and local offices. Right now Donald Trump is the best campaign ad that Democrats have ever had, even if it is painful to watch and live through.

Flaming Fail: Trump Fires at DACA and Makes a Total Ash of Himself

On Tuesday morning the Supreme heard oral arguments on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) case. They are determining whether or not to uphold the decisions by lower courts to overturn Donald Trump’s ruling to terminate the program and put the immigration status of hundreds of thousands of “Dreamers” in jeopardy.

Donald Trump, Immigrant, Child

Dreamers are undocumented residents who were brought to the U.S. as children. Most of them grew up here and have never known any life in the native country of their parents, and don’t speak any language other than English. In order to be eligible for DACA status they must have no criminal record and must be productie residents who are either working, in school, or in the military. But despite these criteria, Trump has been attacking them for years with flagrant lies and defamation. And on the morning that the Supreme Court took up this case, Trump tweeted this atrocity:

It’s rather impressive how Trump can get so much wrong in 280 characters or less. Let’s dive into his staggeringly hateful and blatantly erroneous blather.

First of all: Trump leads off by insinuating there is some significance to the fact that some of the Dreamers have grown up and are no longer young. So what? That doesn’t negate the fact that they were brought here as children and know no other home. Trump’s only purpose in injecting this diversion is to imply that there is something untoward about them being adults. But it is entirely irrelevant to the discussion of whether they should be allowed to stay and earn citizenship.

Secondly: Trump falsely asserts that some Dreamers “are very tough, hardened criminals.” However, the program expressly requires that they have no criminal record. Trump is simply lying about this to smear the reputation of law abiding, patriotic, aspiring Americans. It’s not only dishonest, it’s repulsive and inhumane.

Third: Trump’s assertion that President Obama said he “had no right” to initiate the DACA program is another provable lie. PolitiFact reviewed previous claims by Trump on this subject and declared them “Mostly False.” Obama never said that he didn’t have the “legal right” to sign a DACA executive order. He merely said that he couldn’t unilaterally overturn existing laws. And he went on to state that, therefore, there was no legal impediment to DACA because it wouldn’t do that.

Fourth: Trump declares that if the Supreme Court rules against DACA, he would make a deal with Democrats to achieve the same objectives. But that’s a brazenly disingenuous offer. There is no reason he couldn’t have crafted a legislative solution with Congress long before this. He didn’t need a Supreme Court decision to do that. But instead, he personally killed every attempt by Congress to pass such legislation. Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell said that he wouldn’t advance any immigration bill unless Trump agreed to sign it in advance, which he never did.

Finally: Trump’s tweeted offer to support an immigration bill that allows Dreamers to stay in the U.S. is bizarre given his complaints in the same tweet. He is asserting that if the Supreme Court rules against DACA, he will support a bill permitting DACA recipients, who he says include “very tough, hardened criminals,” to stay in the country permanently. Really?

That is typical of the raging incoherence that infects virtually every policy position taken by Trump. He is profoundly ignorant and incapable of forming rational arguments. And that’s just another reason why he is utterly unfit to serve as president. He is not just an embarrassment to the nation, he is an imminent danger. But at least he is adept at cramming loads of gooey nonsense into his half-witted (at best) tweets.

Zombie Obsessed Trump Keeps Saying Things Are ‘DEAD’ Even Though They Definitely Aren’t

There is something terribly wrong Donald Trump. Of course, that isn’t going shock most readers. Trump’s deranged mind and malignant narcissism are well known, and the acute symptoms are all too visible, even to lay persons. He acts out with tantrums and juvenile histrionics whenever he is criticized or doesn’t get his way. He’s worse than a colicky toddler who refuses to be ignored.

Donald Trump

However, there is another problem that has a more morbid quality. Whenever Trump gets a burr up his butt over something, he just lashes out declaring it dead. He thinks that his baseless declaration is sufficient to affirm the demise of whatever it is he’s opposed to. Unfortunately for him, that isn’t only untrue, it makes him look like a fool and a weakling who can’t achieve any goal except with meaningless ranting.

The latest incident of this psychosis is Trump’s assault on the White House Correspondents Dinner (WHCD). For the second year in a row he has been too afraid to show up himself, and instead organized a rally to assemble his most devoted disciples for an extended public ego-stroke. The dinner featured comedian Michelle Wolf’s stinging roast of Trump and his staff. She also hit liberals and the media, but none of that registered in Trump’s micro-focused brain. Having only absorbed whatever was about himself, Trump responded with predictable rage:

Of course, the WHCD is not dead at all. Every year there is a comic routine that is lambasted by snowflakes who can’t take a joke. And Trump’s reaction is particularly hypocritical considering his practice of disgusting insults and personal attacks. He is the definition of a “total disaster and an embarrassment,” and a far worse example since he is the President and not just a comedian.

As for his assertion that the WHCD is “dead,” that’s just another in a long line loopy death sentences from Dr. Trump. Here are a few of others that are just as delusional as the one above:

This came after Michael Cohen, his personal attorney, had his home and offices raided. There is no evidence of any breach of privilege, especially after Trump himself told Fox News that Cohen does only “a tiny, tiny, little fraction” of legal work for him.

First of all, it was Trump who tried to kill DACA by rescinding the executive action President Obama implemented. But it is alive and well because his rescission was struck down by federal courts.

In an effort to prop up his widely disparaged proposal for trade tariffs, Trump actually maligned some core industries of the American economy. While these industries are experiencing changes related to technology and global trade, they aren’t dead. But his tariffs could put an end to them.

Continuing to beat on this tattered drum, Trump still peddles his “Russian Collusion Hoax” theory that was last year’s PolitiFact “Lie of the Year.”

Despite his determined efforts, Trump has never managed to outright kill ObamaCare. He has repeatedly tried to sabotage it, with varying results. But it’s still firmly in place and popular.

OK. He got one right.

But he’s still way off on his attacks on the media. CNN is enjoying its highest ratings in years. And MSNBC is regularly beating Trump’s State-Run TV network, Fox News. Even the Washington Post and the “failing” New York Times are pulling in record revenues.

A lot of these crackpot outbursts can be traced back to an early comment Trump made at the beginning of his campaign. He actually proclaimed that “The American Dream Is Dead.” That one sort of encompasses all of the other death notices. And thankfully, Trump’s assessment of the nation is just as ludicrous as all of the other bleak projections he’s unfurled.

Hellbound? Donald Trump Blatantly Lies Before Entering His Easter Sunday Church Service

The support that Donald Trump gets from the allegedly Christian faithful has always been peculiar and illustrative of a unique brand of hypocrisy. Trump may be the most flagrantly irreligious person to ever occupy the White House. He insists that he doesn’t have to ask God’s forgiveness because he doesn’t do anything wrong. He can’t cite a single bible verse when asked, and can’t explain the ones that are inserted into his prepared speeches. And his entire agenda goes against everything that the historical Jesus stands for.

Donald Trump Messiah

On this Easter Sunday, Trump, wife Melania, and nearly forgotten daughter Tiffany, attended church near his Mar-A-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida. On the way into this holiest of holidays service, Trump stopped to answer a few question from reporters. Everyone knows by now that the truth is a foreign concept to this president. But outside of church, prior to a celebration of one’s savior rising from the dead, ought to cause one to think twice before lying to the entire nation – again. But not Trump. Replying to a question about DACA (video below) he said that…

“A lot of people are coming in because they want to take advantage of DACA. And we’re gonna have to see. They had a great chance. The Democrats blew it. They had a great, great chance. But we’ll have to take a look.”

Either Trump still has no idea what DACA is or he simply doesn’t care about spewing obvious falsehoods. It’s a given that his supporters won’t catch the lies in that comment, but God probably will. First of all, DACA recipients must have been living in the U.S. continuously since 2007, and had to be sixteen or younger when they entered. No new arrivals would be covered by DACA or any of the immigration bills Republicans in Congress have already rejected.

As for those bills, after originally saying he would sign whatever bipartisan legislation Congress sent him, he reversed himself and refused to back any of the congressional bills. So it wasn’t Democrats who “blew” their chance. They cooperated with their colleagues, but Trump reneged on his promise. And it should not go unnoticed that it was Trump who killed DACA in the first place and he could reinstate it at any time if he wanted to. Earlier in the day Trump tweeted some of the same lies about DACA that he told the reporters at church:

In addition to his misrepresentation of Democrats and DACA, the President referred to a “Catch and Release” law that doesn’t actually exist. If the border patrol isn’t allowed to do its job, it’s because of Trump, to whom they report. And Trump’s choice of Easter as the day to proclaim that the DACA deal is dead confirms his callous insensitivity. Then there’s his curious talk about “caravans” of immigrants pouring into the country, which was totally unsubstantiated. Plus, it was taken verbatim from Fox and Friends forty minutes earlier. And the good Lord knows that Fox News can’t be trusted to tell the truth either. Case in point, they posted this tweet Easter morning:

Let’s set aside that this is hardly a newsworthy scoop that Fox had to rush out to their dimwitted audience. Or that they didn’t post any tweets of Nancy Pelosi or other Democrats wishing everyone a Happy Easter. What’s interesting about this is that the photo is of the Trump Klan on Easter of 2017. Apparently Fox News couldn’t find a picture of the Trumps celebrating the holiday this year (because there isn’t one), so they dredged up an old one to make it look like Trump was joining America in this year’s celebration.

Most of the country is already aware of – and fed up with – the lying from both Trump and Fox News. But if you thought that they might refrain from being so shamelessly dishonest on this of all days, you would be wrong. They have no shame, and they obviously don’t care who knows it.

American Dreamer? Trump is Peddling This New Hat to Profit From His Anti-DACA Racism

Last year Donald Trump single-handedly killed the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program that allowed undocumented residents who were brought into the country as minors to remain and to work without fear of deportation and separation from their families. The initiative was implemented by President Obama and widely regarded as humanitarian and necessary.

Despite pretending to care about DACA, Trump has callously exploited the issue to malign Democrats and bargain for his asinine and useless border wall. He brazenly demeans innocent people in order to ram his ludicrous agenda through Congress. And the suffering he causes is of no concern to him or his uncaring comrades in the Republican Party.

So it should come as no surprise that Trump is escalating the grotesque bigotry inherent in his exclusionary policies by seeking to profit off the pain of others. He has just introduced a new product on his website that Trump cultists and Deplorables can waste their money on. It’s an American Dreamer hat.

Donald Trump Dreamer

In the spirit of his silly headgear hucksterism, Trump is expanding his “Make America Great Again” product line in the most disgusting way possible. The new hat is apparently a premium item because, at $50.00 a pop, it is twice the cost of a MAGA hat. But it is also twice as repulsive. The Trump website pitches it in language that is trite and unrelated to the tribulations of DACA kids:

“Because Americans are dreamers too. We all want to live the American dream and our 45th President is helping to make that dream a reality for each and every American. With our American Dreamer Hat you can show that you believe we can Make America Great Again.”

DACA recipients are called “Dreamers” because they hope to have their status as Americans recognized officially. They are model citizens who serve in the military, attend school, and contribute to their communities. They cannot participate in the program if they have any criminal record. Their dream is to become citizens of the country they love – the only one they have ever known.

Trump introduced his “American Dreamer” bastardization of this movement in his State of the Union address. It was an attempt to hijack the dreams of DACA kids for the benefit of already privileged white citizens. There is no logical connection to the DACA program by Trump’s deliberate misdirection. It is similar to the racist appropriation of “Black Lives Matter” by the Klan-sponsored distortion, “All Lives Matter.”

Leave it to Trump to find a way to insult a whole class of people who only want their dignity and freedom from fear. And only Trump could manage to turn that insulting action into a commercial venture that makes him richer. It’s the defining characteristic of his utter lack of character and disregard for ethics and compassion. But at least it will help the rest of us to recognize his dimwitted disciples as they parade around with their flags of prejudice firmly planted on their hateful, empty heads.

Tucker Carlson Says That In Order to Lead America You Must Love White Supremacists

With each and every day Fox News manages to sink lower into the sewer of bigotry and ignorance. After spending several days defending Donald Trump’s despicable degradation of Americans who migrated here from Haiti and Africa as “shithole countries,” the network’s most brazen hate-monger, Tucker Carlson, has overtly embraced the white supremacists that make up much of his audience.

Tucker Carlson Fox News

On Thursday night’s program (video below), Carlson led off with a tirade about immigration and the low-life moochers he considers to be destroying America. He disgustingly misrepresented DACA as protecting “people who snuck into our country and are demanding rights and money.” Never mind that they didn’t sneak into the country (they were children brought by their parents), and they are working people who provide for themselves and their families. They pay taxes and contribute to Social Security. They aren’t even eligible for federal financial aid, Medicaid, Obamacare, food stamps, etc. Carlson, as usual, doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

Carlson’s guest was ultra-rightist blowhard, Mark Steyn. An immigrant himself, he agreed with Carlson’s insulting characterizations of immigrants who don’t look like them. Steyn went on a blustering rant about how Democrats have a “preference for illegal immigrants over American citizens.” Steyn complained that liberal media and politicians say that…

“…the real problem is white supremacists in America. They’re the real monsters. Not these nice, hard working illegal immigrants. And that may be well and true. For the purposes of argument, let’s just say he’s right. It’s irrelevant. The white supremacists are American citizens. The illegal immigrants are people who shouldn’t be here. The organizing principle of nation-states is that they’re organized on behalf of their citizens, whether their citizens are cheerleaders or white supremacists or whatever. You’re stuck with them.

Really? Steyn is actually cuddling up to white supremacists just because they were fortunate enough to be born in America. And he prefers them to foreign born persons who actually represent the inclusive values of America. In his demented view they may be bigots, but they’re our bigots. And Carlson is totally on board with that view. In fact, he doesn’t think that an American leader can govern unless he loves this country’s racists:

“How can you lead a country whose population you despise? Would you be a good parent if you hated your kids? Would you be an effective officer if you didn’t care about the safety of your men? Doesn’t that kind of prima facie show that you’re not ready to lead if you don’t love the people you’re leading?”

That is the prevailing view on Fox News. It’s why Fox put Carlson in the lead off position of their primetime schedule. He sets the tone for the network’s editorial stance, which continues in primetime with noted bigots Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham. And while Fox News frequently airs blatantly prejudiced segments with openly bigoted guests, they are rarely as explicit as they were in this segment. It was a literal embrace of white supremacists who happen to be citizens by accident of birth. All while shamelessly maligning goodhearted people who choose to be American because they love the country and it’s values.

In His Own Words: Trump’s Shutdown Demagoguery is Hypocritical, Dishonest, and Ignorant

Donald Trump has been frantic lately about the Congress not being able to pass a budget or a continuing resolution to keep the government from shutting down. He is engulfed in a blustering frenzy of anger while trying feverishly to blame Democrats for the looming closure and termination of certain public services.

Donald Trump

But Trump’s yowling betrays his pathetic incompetence. First of all, he apparently doesn’t realize that his own party, the Republicans, is in control of the House of Representatives, the Senate, and the White House. That makes it impossible to shift responsibility to anyone but the GOP for the shut down. What’s more, Trump can’t seem to grasp the reason for the political schism. He keeps trying to assert that the military will be the victim of a shut down, despite the fact that all Pentagon programs will continue unabated.

The real breakdown in negotiations concerns the insistence by Trump and the Republican’s that Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients be shut out of the legislation, even as they continue to lose their eligibility to remain in the U.S. Trump’s faction is steadfast in their heartless refusal to correct the problem he created that will send people who have lived their whole lives in America to countries they don’t know. And to make matters worse, they are trying to lure Democratic support by adding language to the bill that continues the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). In effect they are holding both DACA and CHIP as hostages in opposition to one another. It’s both a cynical and reprehensible tactic that burdens people already in troubling circumstances.

What makes this all the more disturbing is that Trump’s position lacks any moral or intellectual consistency. He doesn’t really care about any of the affected persons, and he has no principles behind his manufactured conflict. Here is what Trump posted on Twitter Thursday on this matter:

And here is what he tweeted in the past:

So which is it? Does our government need a good shutdown that will be devastating to our military even though government continues to run with all essential services? That’s the deranged argument of our “stable genius” who just got a clean bill of physical and mental health despite showing signs of heart disease. And yes, none of that makes any sense.

The Walking White House Dead: Trump Declares Whatever He Doesn’t Like to Be Deceased

The White House released its first medical exam results on Tuesday and, lo and behold, they heralded the excellent health of Donald Trump. Never mind that his doctor warned that he’s border line obese, has high cholesterol, shows evidence of heart disease, has “stroke issues,” and worst of all, is on a hair loss prevention medication.

Donald Trump

The real health problems that plague the Trump White House are all the corpses laying around of policies and opponents that Trump has certified as having expired. The latest one is what Trump calls the “Russian Collusion Hoax,” which he declared dead in a tweet Tuesday morning:

Of course, Trump is not a doctor, nor has he played one on TV. So his diagnosis cannot be regarded as reliable. Especially since all the evidence shows a healthy investigation into Trump’s unsavory connections to Russia with a strong prognosis for impeachment. And Trump’s assertion that “the public gets it” is only true if what he means is that the public knows that he’s a pathological liar.

Recent polling shows that sixty-one percent of Americans think that the Russia probes are a serious matter that should be fully investigated. Only thirty-four percent disagree. Trump’s handling of Russia is favored by a mere thirty-two percent, while fifty-six percent disapprove. A majority of fifty-six percent also say that Trump’s comments on the Russia probe have been mostly or completely false. And special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation has an overall approval rating of forty-seven percent vs. only thirty-four percent who disapprove of Mueller.

So it’s difficult to conclude that the Russia collusion story has seen its final days. What’s more, along with Muellers investigation and at least one Grand Jury, there are multiple committees in Congress conducting ongoing inquiries. Four indictments have been issued with trials pending, and two Trump associates having pleaded guilty. Just today Trump’s former campaign chair and chief strategist, Steve Bannon, was subpoenaed to appear before the Grand Jury.

But the Russia affair is only one of Trump’s victims. He has previously announced the demise of numerous media enterprises. Most famously, Trump likes to refer to the “failing” New York Times, despite the record subscriptions and revenues they are enjoying. But there’s more where that came from:

There have been at least twelve death notices on Twitter that declared ObamaCare vanquished. Even though it had a record number of new sign-ups last year, despite Trump’s fierce efforts to sabotage it. Here are a couple representative tweets.

And of course, according to Trump, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program kicked the bucket too. That remains to be seen since it is currently being debated in Congress with Democrats determined to preserve it. The vast majority of Americans (eighty-six percent) favor allowing Dreamers to remain in the country. Despite that overwhelming public support, Trump and his Republican comrades are standing firm in opposition to the American people:

Donald Trump is distinguishing himself as the “Sixth Sense” president. Everywhere he turns he sees dead people or policies or other carcasses of whatever has riled him up for the moment. It’s a morbid existence he must endure in a White House draped in black. But it’s also a delusional existence that defies reality as he endeavors to force his demons on the rest of the nation.

Our ‘Stable Genius’ President Donald Trump Thinks DACA is a Country

Is there any limit to the embarrassment that Donald Trump can cause to our nation? Being recognized as the biggest liar that has ever occupied the White House isn’t enough. Being a serial sexual predator isn’t enough. Taunting hostile, nuclear armed foreign leaders isn’t enough. Sucking up to brutal dictators like Vladimir Putin isn’t enough. When will it end?

Donald Trump

Trump likes to claim that he is the bestest, smartest, most awesomest human being ever to walk this earth. But virtually everything he does or says contradicts that. His recent proclamation that he is “like, really smart” was laughable to anyone with a functioning cerebellum. And on Monday morning he proved that he is at least as dumb as we all fear.

In a brief encounter with the press (video below) Trump was asked whether the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program would be reinstated. Remember that the only reason it’s at risk is that he unilaterally terminated it by executive action. And now he is refusing to support a bipartisan congressional compromise. In his reply to the question he said:

“Honestly, I don’t think the Democrats want to make a deal. I think they talk about DACA, but they don’t want to help the DACA people. […] The folks from DACA should know the Democrats are the ones that aren’t going to make a deal.”

First of all, there are no “Daca” people or “folks from Daca.” Trump’s answer appears to suggest that thinks the people who need protection from deportation are foreigners from a place called Daca that they would be forced to return to. Probably, in Trump’s diseased brain, some “shithole country” in Central America or Africa. In reality, the “Dacanese” are undocumented immigrants who are eligible for residency and work permits under the DACA program. But even if you give Trump the benefit of a doubt (for the umpteenth time) for poorly expressing himself, he’s still an Olympic-grade moron for not being able to articulate a simple concept without utterly warping its meaning.

In the same video Trump was asked if he was a racist. He replied “I’m not a racist. I’m the least racist person you have ever interviewed.” But if you have to repeatedly defend yourself from charges of racism, you are undoubtedly a racist, plus an idiot and a liar who cannot avoid falling into the same – er – shithole.

Trump is also trying to evade responsibility for DACA not being resolved. He says that it’s the Democrats who don’t want to make a deal. Except that the Democrats already made a deal that Republicans in Congress signed on to, and it’s Trump who rejected it. And that’s after having said that he would sign whatever bill Congress agreed upon and sent to him, because he respects them. So Trump can’t be trusted to show respect, or keep promises, or renounce racism, or speak coherently, or be in any way smart or presidential. God help us all.
