Trump Lies (Surprise) About the “Success” of His Midterm Trump-a-Paloozer That Was a Total Flop

Republicans are going into the 2026 midterm elections with a decidedly heavy burden to bear. That burden goes by the name of Donald Trump. And it is dragging down Republican candidates across the country, including in ordinarily conservative strongholds like Kansas, North Carolina, and Texas.

Donald Trump TV Set

At this point in Trump’s reoccupation of the White House he is suffering the lowest approval ratings of either of his deplorable terms in office. And to make matters worse, he is completely oblivious to his paltry popularity because he is also suffering from a case of Trump Derangement Syndrome whose symptoms include severe cognitive impairment.

SEE THIS: Delusional Trump: ‘My REAL Polling Numbers Are the Best They Have Ever Been’ – OK Grandpa

This week Trump featured himself in a political extravaganza in Dallas, Texas, that his operatives dubbed a Trump-a-Palooza. He delivered the keynote speeches on both nights of the pseudo-convention that was really nothing more than another Trump cult rally. And when he wrapped his first harangue on Wednesday Trump was quick declare it a success in a giddy comment that he posted on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social. He bragged that…

“The Republican Midterm Convention last night, in Dallas, was a major, sold out hit, far bigger, better, and more important than anyone thought possible. It was really something, streaming all over the place, and really big numbers, despite going up against the NFL. The overall numbers beat the NFL. The Arena, which was really nice, beat its own attendance records. The place was packed! There were thousands of people outside who couldn’t get in. Screens were provided. I guess people LOVE TRUMP POLITICS! I’ll be there again tonight to close out the show. Exciting ‘Stuff!’ MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”

There is just one problem with Trump’s glowing appraisal of TrumpFest. It is a pile of unmitigated bull manure. Not only was it not sold out, but the GOP couldn’t even give away enough free tickets to fill the arena. And regarding the “really big numbers” that “beat the NFL,” he couldn’t possibly know that since those ratings haven’t been released. Although it’s safe to assume that his affair didn’t get anywhere near the 20-30 million viewers that the NFL season opener usually gets. Particularly when the numbers we do have are so pitifully low. As reported by Deadline

“The first night of Donald Trump‘s midterm convention failed to generate a ratings bounce for Fox News, with the audiences comparable or even slightly below regular primetime programming. […] During Donald Trump’s speech from 9 p.m. ET to 11 p.m. ET, Fox News averaged 2.5 million viewers. A year ago, during the month of September, Hannity drew an average of 2.89 million in the 9 p.m. ET hour and Gutfeld! garnered an average of 2.94 million at 10 p.m. ET.”

So Fox’s Big Trump Show resulted in lower ratings for the network with Trump than they got without him. It is also telling that when Trump isn’t fluffing himself, he sometimes allows small bits of truth to escape his sneering grimace. For example, during an interview with Laura Ingraham of Fox News, Trump actually capitulated to the reality that he and the GOP are going to lose in November, saying that “I’ll end up being a blocker. I’ll block all their bad stuff for two years.”

Trump is admitting that for his final two years as the lamest of ducks he will just be serving as an annoyance by obstructing the will of the people after they have elected Democratic majorities. It is literally the least he can do. Especially if his cult disciples fail to restore his MAGA team in Congress and break their solemn pledge to his MAGA-sty to turn out voters, even if they aren’t registered or otherwise legally allowed to vote…

Trump Just Promised to Cut Off Benefits to Half of All Medicare Recipients – NO REALLY!

The much anticipated (by MAGA-tists) Trump-a-Palooza midterm convention for Republicans in Dallas, Texas, delivered its first day of non-stop worship services for Donald Trump. The speakers were a parade of Trump sycophants and flunkies who spent their time on stage praising Dear Leader.

Donald Trump

For his part, Trump spoke for nearly two hours, rehashing his moldy oldies from every other public address he has given over the past decade. Unfortunately for Trump and his GOP comrades, the audience for this propaganda is pitifully small. Many republican officials and candidates declined to show up. The main TV networks passed on airing it. And the organizers had to give away free tickets to fill seats.

SEE THIS: Fox News Shamelessly Shills for the Trump-a-Palooza While Republicans Avoid it Like the Plague

Trump’s speech was full of the lies and insults that typically infect his oratory. He spread defamatory falsehoods about Democrats and made preposterous promises, such as his illegal proposal to “bribe” voters to vote for his MAGA GOP confederates. But there was a little noticed campaign pledge that he snuck into his script that deserves more attention. Trump vowed to potentially kill Medicare.

“We’ll pass the Great Healthcare Plan – we call it the Great Healthcare Plan – to stop all government payments to the big insurance companies – which by the way, the insurance companies own the Democrats. They own ’em – And give the money directly to the people, for you to buy your own healthcare. You’ll get much better healthcare and have money left over for yourself.”

Trump: "We'll pass the Great Healthcare Plan to stop all government payments to the big insurance companies"

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2026-09-10T02:50:26.354Z

First of all, Trump has touted his imaginary “Great Healthcare Plan” before. There is, in reality, no such plan. The concept consists entirely of his claim that money currently paid to insurance companies would go directly to patients, who would then buy their own insurance from – that’s right – insurance companies. So the companies still get the money, but consumers don’t benefit from the collective value derived from negotiating lower premiums. And Trump has the gall to accuse Democrats of being “owned” by Big Insurance? It’s Democrats who want to replace conventional insurance with Medicare for All.

More to the point, Trump’s idea to “stop all government payments to the big insurance companies” would mean putting an end to all Medicare Advantage Plans. While there have been some controversies associated with these plans, they offer many people more and better coverage for less money, and in many cases no deductibles or co-pays.

What’s more, these plans currently account for 55% of all current Medicare policies. And they are paid for by the government via the recipient’s Medicare allotment. Therefore, they would be eliminated by Trump’s proposal. And if half of the Medicare recipients lost these benefits, the whole of the program could be put in jeopardy.

Naturally, Trump couldn’t care less about any of this, or any of the harm that it would produce. He likely has no idea what any of it is about. He is just mouthing off some rhetoric that he picked up from the Internet trolls that he follows online. And as usual, he is advocating for something that will cause more problems that it would ever have solved. Much like his failure to extend the subsidies for Obamacare, which resulted in skyrocketing premiums and lost coverage for millions of Americans.

This is the sort of chaos that MAGA voted for. It doesn’t deliver any benefit to the American people, including the MAGA-tists who voted for it. To the contrary, it makes the lives of most people impacted by it more difficult. And with regard to healthcare, that can often mean more deadly. But it does have the benefit of making the insurance companies richer. Which reveals the truth about who is really owned by them.

HOW CONVENIENT! Trump Says the Iran War and High Gas Prices Will End – Right After the Elections?

The catastrophes that have defined the reoccupation of the White House by Donald Trump are numerous and persistent. They include the ongoing war in Iran that is in its seventh month, despite Trump promising it would only last a few days or weeks; the inflationary affects of his idiotic tariffs; the loss of the respect of our international allies; the wasteful costs of his vanity projects; and the hostilities toward the free press and the Constitution.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump

The cumulative impact of all of this has been to drive Trump’s approval ratings into record low territory. And with him in that decline are his Republican confederates. Their electoral condition is so dire that they are holding an unprecedented midterm convention in Dallas, Texas. But even that is shaping up to be another Trump-built massive failure…

SEE THIS: Fox News Shamelessly Shills for the Trump-a-Palooza While Republicans Avoid it Like the Plague

On his way to Dallas, Trump stopped for another one his “chopper talks” where provides incoherent non-responses to questions, while insulting reporters. On this occasion Trump was asked a couple of questions that have been weighing on the minds of America’s voters. Let’s begin with an inquiry about his reckless and illegal war against Iran. Trump was asked when he thought it would end. He replied that…

“I think the war’s going to end immediately after the election because they can’t hold out any longer. They’re desperate to try and affect the election so that we can get a nice, weak group of people in there and leave them alone, and let them have their nuclear weapon.”

That was quickly followed up with a question about when he thought the high prices for gasoline would subside. He said it would be…

“Shortly, right after the election – because they’d like to have it that way – but right after the election oil prices are going to be tumbling downward. They’re gonna be tumbling down, and I think for gasoline we’re gonna get them below $2.00 a gallon think it’s going to take a little bit longer than the midterms.”

The common thread that ran through both of those answers is that these problems – both of which Trump created in the first place – would be over after the midterm elections in November. However, there are a couple of problems with those answers.

First of all the midterm elections are still two months away. That means that the war that was supposed to be over in March is going to continue at least until November. And the same goes for the elevated gas prices that are crushing the budgets of American consumers, that Trump also said wouldn’t last very long. And if they did it was okay because he didn’t mind paying more to defeat Iran, which wasn’t a problem until he ripped up the prior agreement with them.

Secondly, by declaring that these problems would be over after the election Trump is trying to convince voters that they shouldn’t be bothered with the burdens that he is imposing on them. Because at some time in the future they will magically disappear just because he says so. Therefore, he wants them to vote for his GOP comrades despite the facts that the economy sucks, and the war rages on, and everything else that Trump has wrecked is still screwed up. Just STFU and vote for MAGA and your dreams will come true. But not until after the election!?!

It’s ironic that Trump is accusing Iran of being “desperate to try and affect the election.” Which is exactly what Trump is trying to do with these comments. What’s more, Trump is also desperately trying to affect the elections with his efforts to obstruct voting, and gerrymandering of districts, and interjecting the federal government into elections that are the jurisdiction of the states according to the Constitution.

Clearly the desperate party here is Trump. And his whining and tantrums just make that all the more obvious. Trump wants people to have blind faith that he will resolve all of their problems by waving his magic wand. But that pitch isn’t even fooling all of his MAGA-tist disciples anymore. Now, with Trump’s declaration that our problems won’t be fixed until after the elections, November – more than ever – can’t come soon enough.

Ken Paxton’s BS AI Campaign Ad Features a Fake James Talarico Misquoting Himself

With the advent of Artificial Intelligence, a wealth of information has become instantly available and exploitable to advance research and expand knowledge. But at the same time much of what people relate to as reality is vulnerable to distortion and outright, deliberate deception.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Republican Elephant Lies

If this technology is to be adopted in a useful, non-harmful way, there needs to be thoughtful consideration given to imposing regulatory guardrails to prevent misuse and abuse. Without that we will see nefarious scam artists taking advantage of it to enrich themselves and victimize others. And political partisans will purposely contrive their use of AI to align with their biases.

FOR INSTANCE: Trump’s Truth Social AI ChatBot Relies Almost Entirely on Fox News and Other Trump-Fluffing Media

If you’ve been wondering when we would see the worst of what AI is capable of, that time has come. The Republican Senate candidate in Texas, Ken Paxton, has released a campaign ad that features an AI representation of his Democratic opponent, James Talarico. The ad is entirely generated with AI and shows Talarico supposedly speaking in his own voice, and saying things that would disturb many Texan voters. Talarico is shown reading from a King James Talarico bible and “saying” that…

“In the beginning God was non-binary, and he wasn’t a Christian. And God said let there be six genders, and there were. Then God so loved the world, he gave us his only son, who is a radical feminist and never asked people to worship him. Look, I always think of myself as a Christian who hates Christianity. America is not a Christian nation.”

For the record, Talarico did say some of that, but in a much broader context that refutes the implications that Paxton is making. For example, regarding a non-binary God, Talarico, who is studying to be a Presbyterian minister, was citing his faith’s doctrine that God is neither male nor female, but transcends being merely human. And what he hates about Christianity are professed Christians who are hypocrites who betray the religion. You know…like Paxton.

Paxton’s ad was an entirely dishonest piece of political bullshittery. And true to his inbred hypocrisy, Paxton presented the ad by accusing Talarico of “weaponizing faith to sell a radical agenda.” Which is exactly what Paxton’s ad does. And the only indication that the version of Talarico in the ad was fake was a bit of tiny print near the end that said “Certain video content depicted in this advertising was generated by artificial intelligence.”

That almost impossible to notice disclaimer appeared for all of four seconds. Also, it wasn’t “certain video content” that was AI generated. It was all of it.

The good news is that Paxton has purchased airtime to run this ad on the radical, far-right “news” channel, Newsmax, during the Trump-a-Palooza event that Republicans are staging in Dallas, Texas. That midterm GOP convention is unlikely to be seen by many television viewers, because hardly any networks are bothering to air it. And since Newsmax, Fox News, and OAN viewers are already fully indoctrinated MAGA cult disciples, the whole campaign is waste of time and money.

Fascismo J. Trump Threatens to Sue Progressive Think Tank for Exposing More of His Flagrant Lies

The longstanding lust that Donald Trump harbors to reign as an unchallenged dictator continues to reveal itself in his aberrant behavior that is getting worse by the day. For instance, from his perverse perspective he believes that he can rename everything from the Strait of Hormuz (Trump Strait?), to the state of New Mexico (New America?).

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump Angry

Trump’s authoritarian aspirations manifest in ever more troubling ways. Among them are his attacks on the free press that he frequently refers to in Stalinist terms as “the enemy of the people.” He lashes out at the media on a daily basis, often including threats that are flagrant violations of the First Amendment, and for which he has no authority to enforce.

SEE THIS: Wannabe Fascist Dictator Trump is Reporting Meet the Press Host to His FCC – For ‘Punishment’?

On Monday morning Trump squeezed out yet another unconstitutional abomination. This time it was a lawsuit threat aimed at the Center for American Progress (CAP), a progressive think tank that studies government agencies and policies. Trump was outraged over a television segment he saw where a CAP study contradicted Trump’s lies about crime cutting in cities where he illegally deployed the National Guard. Trump raged that…

“[T]he foolish Center for American Lack of Progress, stated that adding the National Guard to Cities, including our now Great Again, Washington, D.C., had ‘NO impact on Crime.’ How crazy is that. Hall was met with furious dissent. The report is just another Radical Left SCAM, as are the people who fund this gaggle of Lunatics.” […]

“These people, and others like them, are so bad for our Country. Their stated course is anything to hate or demean ‘TRUMP.’ This will be met with a lawsuit, which is being drawn now. I am also strongly considering adding some of the contributors to this Fake Organization.”

How crazy was that? Well, Trump never actually calculates the amount of crazy. He just insults the study’s authors, the organization, and their donors. He never offers a rebuttal to the facts in the study. In reality, the study isn’t crazy at all. In fact, it is a detailed examination of crime statistics that are backed up by reporting from official government law enforcement sources. See for yourself…

The Trump Administration’s $1.7 Billion National Guard Deployments Fail To Reduce Urban Crime
“The second Trump administration is trying to take credit for the historic drop in violent crime across America despite the fact that this trend began before it took office, and it is using these declines to justify expanding policies that are unpopular, ineffective, and costly. Even though the data clearly show that violent crime and homicides were already dropping in American cities in 2023 and 2024, the Trump administration has continued to threaten city and state leaders and argue that its extreme actions, such as deploying the National Guard to support law enforcement operations, are improving public safety.

“However, new Center for American Progress analysis finds no evidence that National Guard deployments have reduced violent crime. Moreover, if these deployments are extended and continue through the end of 2026, they could cost American taxpayers more than $1.7 billion.”

So Trump is once again threatening a lawsuit without a shred of evidence to support his wild and self-serving allegations. Once again his true purpose is to try to frighten his foes into submission. This is his way of silencing critics. And this time he’s even aiming his hostility at the organization’s donors in the hopes of drying up financial support for them and every other organization that might anger Trump. But he isn’t likely to succeed. CAP replied to his threats saying that…

“Lawyers for President Donald Trump issued a letter demanding the Center for American Progress retract a factual report or face a $5 billion lawsuit.”

[CAP President and CEO Neera Tanden added that] “This threatened lawsuit’s attack on facts and evidence is baseless. A fundamental protection of the First Amendment is to allow for the publication of facts and analysis that are contrary to the arguments and claims of any administration. A lawsuit is a transparent attempt to silence us. We will neither cower nor bend in the face of it.”

Trump thinks he can get away with these threats because a few media corporations with business before the government caved in. But an organization like CAP isn’t going to bend over. Even the media isn’t being so weak-kneed lately. And the American people will have the final word when they reject all things Trump in November. Then maybe he will sue all of us for voting against him. He really is that insane.

Trump’s FCC Boss (Fascist Communications Czar) Tells Fox News He is ‘Looking Into’ Fake Polls

In the decade that Donald Trump has been in politics, he has distinguished himself as the most media averse president of all time. He has taken unprecedented actions to censor the free press, insulted journalists for doing their jobs, and whined incessantly about his paranoid perception of being a victim of what he routinely calls the “fake news.”

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump and Media - ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, FOX

Recently Trump was ticked off by a segment on Meet the Press during which the host, Kristen Welker, accurately pointed out that Trump’s record of endorsements was a “mixed bag” due to many of his preferred candidates losing their primary races. In response to Welker’s reporting Trump proposed a vengeful penalty that he has no legal authority to dispense.

SEE THIS: Wannabe Fascist Dictator Trump is Reporting Meet the Press Host to His FCC – For ‘Punishment’?

Trump’s proposal was typical of his hyperactive overreach that demonstrates his ignorance of, and disrespect for, the Constitution and its First Amendment protection for the free press. Neither he nor his FCC have any jurisdiction to punish journalists, particularly when they are right.

On Sunday morning Trump and his nursemaid, Natalie Harp, were busy with what he regards as his primary presidential duties of posting goofy memes on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social. They included AI slopix of himself horseback riding with George Washington, Robert De Niro with a Trump t-shirt, renaming New Mexico to New America, Joe Biden in a Trump hat, Trump as Hulk Hogan, and 31 more deranged fantasies. I sure hope hope it doesn’t cut into his golf game.

Meanwhile, Trump’s FCC boss, Brendan Carr, was on Fox News doing what he does best: disseminating Trumpist propaganda. Carr was interviewed by Fox’s Peter Doocy who asked whether Trump had actually reported Welker to him for her punishment. Carr began his reply with a tediously long word salad that had nothing to do with the question. But he eventually weaved his way back to provide an answer that came a little closer to being responsive.

“There is a lot of interest right now in fake polls that are out there. So the FCC may put guidance out soon to remind broadcasters about their obligations with respect to not airing fake polls. Particularly if they’re done to suppress people heading into the fall.”

FCC Chair Brendan Carr on Trump calling for Kristen Welker to receive "punishment" for accurately saying he has a mixed record on endorsements: "I think President Trump is over the target, and we are looking at a lot of actions"

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2026-09-06T15:19:13.294Z

WTF is he talking about? The FCC has no role whatsoever in the collection of data, or subsequent results of, public polling. It cannot make determinations as to whether they are accurate or fake. And it definitely can’t enforce any sort of “guidance” as to how they are conducted or reported. The FCC is not an official censorship agency that can muzzle the media. Particularly if it’s done to suppress information from people heading into the fall.

Broadcasters have no “obligations” as to how they report polls, outside of their own standards and practices set by their editors and executives. The worst parties to assume that authority would be those in government. That’s how dictatorships control the media and suppress the freedom that American journalists have had for 250 years.

Trump and Carr are behaving like the tyrannical despots they admire in Russia, China, and North Korea. However, the only people that should be subject to punishment are Trump and his White House flunkies who are violating the Constitution.

Trump’s obsession with what he calls fake polls stems from his knowledge that those polls are accurate. And illegally obstructing broadcasters from reporting on them doesn’t change the facts that they represent. Trump and his criminal regime are broadly despised and they are going down.

Donald ‘Bone Spurs’ Trump Changes Name of Department of War to Department of Small Potatoes

Ever since Donald Trump descended from his he Golden Elevator in Trump Tower he has struggled fervently to present an image of himself as a “Macho Man.” Perhaps the best evidence that he has never succeeded in that quest is that he didn’t bother to use that Village People song as his theme, opting instead for “YMCA.”

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump, Saving Cadet Bone Spurs

Trump’s idea of masculinity is woefully limited to bragging incessantly about himself, casting infantile insults at others (mostly women), and barking out inane orders to his military commanders to embark on pointless missions that result in nothing but causing great harm to innocent people. And all the while, he will never accept any responsibility for his incompetence.

SEE THIS: Trump Blasts the Republican Party, Whining ‘They Don’t Fully Grasp How Badly They Are F*ing Up’

The harm that Trump causes has a sweeping effect on the lives of millions. Domestically it severely impacts the American people by exacerbating inflation. Internationally it poisons the nation’s relationships with our allies. But the most painful consequence of Trump’s aberrant ego and ineptitude has fallen on American soldiers.

When Trump launched his reckless and illegal war against Iran he said that it wouldn’t last more than a few weeks. That was six months ago. To date there have been 18 American fatalities and nearly 800 troops injured. But Trump has a despicably careless attitude toward those heroes. As reported by the Associated Press

“President Donald Trump on Friday said the conflict in Iran is ‘small potatoes’ as he defended Vice President JD Vance for asserting that months of on-and-off attacks in the Middle East are not a ‘war.’ […] ‘I can understand what he’s saying,’ said Trump. He added: ‘I call it a military conflict because it’s small potatoes for us. It’s not a big thing.'”

Well, that’s good to know. To the “commander-in-chief” who never served – who is in fact a five-time draft dodger – this war is “small potatoes.” That tracks with his prior commentaries on fallen and wounded soldiers who he called suckers and losers,” including the late Sen. John McCain, who spent six years in a North Vietnamese prison camp, and about whom Trump said that he “likes people who weren’t captured.”

Trump’s disregard for the soldiers he is supposed to be in charge of is profoundly repulsive. But it’s also predictable. It is a reflection of his sociopathic personality disorder. He doesn’t give a damn about anyone but himself. And to him the concept of war is nothing more than a game that he can exploit to try to improve his abhorrent image. How else can he justify making a Fox News yakker, Pete Hegseth, the Secretary of…um…Small Potatoes?

However, Trump even fails at that. The guy who changed the name of the Department of Defense to the Department of War – because he thinks it makes him look tough – can’t keep straight whether his misadventures in Iran are a war or not. Perhaps he will consider renaming it again to the Department of Small Potatoes. Today he calls whatever he’s doing in Iran “a military conflict.” But literally yesterday he called it a war – twice…

Trump keeps describing victory in Iran as a "Trump WIN."His ego is out of control. Particularly since he is responsible for America losing. He should never have started the war. Or put Pete Hegseth, a Fox News flunky, in charge of it. He is the TDS poster child.

News Corpse (@newscorpse.bsky.social) 2026-09-04T16:51:24.074Z

Fox News Shamelessly Shills for the Trump-a-Palooza While Republicans Avoid it Like the Plague

When a political party finds itself in an unrecoverable downward spiral they often resort to extraordinary measures to attempt to avoid disaster. And with the midterm elections rapidly approaching, that’s where the Republican Party finds itself as it flounders near the bottom of the Mariana Trench of approval ratings.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump Circling the Drain

To be fair, the abysmal prospects of the GOP (Greedy One Percent) aren’t attributable solely to their own broadly unpopular policies. They are being driven down by the even greater unpopularity of their Dear Leader, Donald Trump, who they they blindly cling to like good, obedient cult disciples. For Trump’s part, he seems to be too cognitively impaired to recognize his sorry state.

SEE THIS: Delusional Trump: ‘My REAL Polling Numbers Are the Best They Have Ever Been’ – OK Grandpa

Given their dire electoral diagnosis, Republicans have scheduled a first-of-its-kind mid-term political convention to juice their standings with voters who are frustrated by the incompetence of the Trump regime. They are tired of paying more for gas, groceries, healthcare, housing, etc. They are sick of persistent wars that serve no national security purpose. They are appalled by trivial projects (ballrooms, arches, reflecting pools, etc.) aimed at satiating the ego of Trump.

How this convention – better known as Trump-a-Palooza – will help the GOP’s approval is a mystery. It’s being held in Texas, a state where Republicans shouldn’t need any help. And unlike ordinary conventions, there is no official business to conduct. No candidates will be nominated. No platforms will be drafted. In fact, it’s just another project to fluff Trump’s massive yet fragile ego.

The foregoing notwithstanding, Fox News is assuming their customary role as Trump’s Ministry of Propaganda. In a segment devoted to the TrumpFest, Cheryl Casone interviewed Joe Gruters, the chairman of the Republican National Committee…

Casone: The RNC just confirmed to Fox that more than 2,000 tickets have been distributed ahead of the convention. So tell us more about this convention and also the cash advantage for you and the RNC. The big question is ‘Where are you gonna deploy the money?’
Gruters: Well, listen, I think that people are giving us money because they believe in the agenda that we’re selling to the American people. and I think they believe in what the president is doing.

Notice that Casone asked Gruters two questions: Tell us more about this convention, and where are you gonna deploy the money. He didn’t answer either one.

It doesn’t seem like they have much to brag about. To begin with, Casone says that “2,000 tickets have been distributed.” Not sold. Which is significant because the tickets when purchased by GOP candidates, officials, and corporate sponsors, are reported to cost between $25,000 and $100,000. And much of that money goes straight into Trump’s SuperPAC. What’s more, the venue for the event is the American Airlines Center in Dallas, that has a capacity of 20,000. So with just five days left, they have only “distributed” 10% of the tickets.

More importantly, the expectations for attendance are, to say the least, disappointing. As reported by The New Republic, “Republicans Are Fleeing Trump’s Weird Midterms Convention.”

“A Politico survey of more than 70 Republican candidates and party members found that most were not planning to attend the two-day function that begins September 9.” […]

“[Many] were planning to dodge the event, which has been dubbed ‘Trump-a-palooza,’ in order to avoid being held accountable for the president’s inflammatory rhetoric.”

Avoiding Trump’s “inflammatory rhetoric” is only part of the story. Republican candidates nationwide are telling Trump to stay away because they don’t want his stench of failure rubbing off on them. More specifically, they don’t want to be associated with his fiasco in Iran, or his inflationary tariffs, or his support for AI data centers, or his embrace of America’s adversaries in Russia, China, and North Korea.

So dozens of Republicans aren’t gong to his convention that takes place two months before the election. It’s also one day before the anniversary of 9/11, that every living former president is memorializing in New York. Trump, however, is not attending because, like every other politician, he wasn’t permitted to speak.

Moreover, since pocketbook issues generally dominate political campaigns, Trump’s GOP comrades don’t want to be associated with his rampant corruption and the financial misconduct that is filling his bank accounts. The American people are through tolerating Trump enriching himself while they suffer, and then trying to tell them that everything is going great.

UPDATE: As predicted, the Trump LoserFest is a pitiful dud…

Maria Bartiromo, Fox News Senior Trump Fluffer, Has Suddenly Parted Ways With Fox

From its inception thirty years ago, Fox News has been dedicated to its prime directive of advancing the political interests of the Republican Party and its radical right-wing agenda. And more recently they have fully adopted the even more extremist mission of Donald Trump and his MAGA movement.

Fox News, Maria Bartiromo

Among the most devoted disciples of Trump’s MAGA movement has been Fox’s Senior Trump-Fluffer, Maria Bartiromo. Originally hired as financial correspondent, Bartiromo transitioned to a brazenly partisan mouthpiece for Trump. She has shamelessly defended Trump’s most preposterous policies and his most deranged outbursts with a fervor that is seen only in the most faithful followers of crackpot cults.

FOR EXAMPLE: HALLELUJAH! The Affordability Crisis is Over According to Fox News – After Talking to Some CEOs

In a surprise announcement, Fox News revealed that Bartiromo is no longer with the network effective immediately. It’s unusual for Fox to jettison a long time host under any circumstances. But it’s particularly unusual for the departure to be executed in this manner. That has only occurred in the past when there was some sort of malfeasance or personal misconduct.

At this time there is no evidence of what Fox might regard as an impropriety associated with Bartiromo. [See update below] She has been a staunchly loyal propaganda pusher for years. The only unsavory behavior on her part was uncovered when Fox News was sued for defamation by Dominion Voting Systems and was forced to settle for a record $787 million. Bartiromo was frequently mentioned in the lawsuit, and her flagrant lies cited.

However, Bartiromo’s role in spreading Trump’s “Big Lie” was seen by her bosses as admirable, and she suffered no repercussions at the time. That was three years ago. So what might have triggered this separation?

One possibility is that Bartiromo will be taking over as Trump’s press secretary, now that Karoline Leavitt has resigned. Bartiromo would be just the sort of person that Trump would want for that position. She’s a woman who has no hesitancy to lie for Dear Leader. She is fiercely loyal to the point of appearing brainwashed. She has a Fox News background, so she would be joining her colleagues in Trump’s White House, including Pete Hegseth, Jeanine Pirro, and at least 20 others.

If Bartiromo does land at the White House, it will surely disappoint some other hopefuls, such as Fox’s own Rachel Campos-Duffy and Ainsley Earhardt. Also on the list of the disillusioned would be Trump’s nursemaid Natalie Harp, CNN’s Scott Jennings, and conspiracy nutcase Laura Loomer. One thing is certain, whoever it is will be worse. But they all may be let down if Trump ends up selecting his personal favorite for the job – himself!

UPDATE I: According to CNN’s Brian Stelter, Bartiromo, who has been off the air since early August, was fired following her “disclosure of confidential information to the Trump White House.” She sought to cover “conspiratorial claims – pushed by Trump – about China and the 2020 election.” When Fox said “No,” she revealed that denial to the White House. That was “deemed a violation of her employment agreement.”

Speculation about her future can still include an offer of employment from the White House. In fact, it may now be even more likely. After all, she was fired for leaking confidential information from Fox News to benefit Trump. And if Fox regarded Trump’s remarks as so deceitful that they were unairable, they should be reporting THAT!

UPDATE II: Trump posted his disbelief that Bartiromo was fired on Truth Social.

Trump weighed in Maria Bartiromo's firing, and he can't believe it. ?Hey Donnie, you're the reason she was fired. She leaked confidential Fox info to you following your urging her to push BS election conspiracies. Now you can hire her to be your Press/Propaganda Secretary.

CORRUPT AF: Trump Dishes Out FEMA Aid as Political Payola to Help GOP Candidates in Red States

Throughout the history of the United States its greatest leaders have endeavored to act on behalf of all of the people of the country, without regard to their politics. They have sought fairness and unity and the benefit of the common good. And while there have been exceptions to this, there is no one who comes close to the gross partisanship of Donald Trump.

Trump Baby on Cash Pile

From his first days in office Trump has been brazenly dedicated to advancing only the interests of his own Republican (aka MAGA) Party. Even then, it was only when those interests were aligned with his egocentric ambitions to increase his personal wealth and power. And he had a particularly difficult time distinguishing between his interests and those of his comrades or the country.

SEE THIS: Delusional Trump Whines that Americans are ‘Angry at Republicans, But They’re Not Angry At Me’

On Tuesday Trump was busying himself with doling out federal funds to improperly buy the loyalty of his fellow Republicans. In a series of comments posted to his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, Trump announced his bestowing of more than $100 million in taxpayer money, in the form of FEMA grants, to the red states that have been supportive of him. And he wasn’t the least bit shy about his blatant politicization of federal disaster relief funds. Here is what he said about each of these dirty disbursements…

  • Kentucky: I just informed Andy Barr, who is running to be the next Senator from the incredible Commonwealth of Kentucky, that I am approving 9.1 Million Dollars…Vote for Andy Barr.
  • Kansas: I just informed Senator Roger Marshall, who has my Complete and Total Endorsement, that I am granting 13.2 Million Dollars.
  • Iowa: I just spoke to the future Senator (Hopefully!) from the Great State of Iowa, Ashley Hinson, and told her that I am approving 5 Million Dollars…I love Iowa, and won it BIG.
  • Texas: I just informed Governor Greg Abbott, of the GREAT State of Texas (who has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Re-Election!), that I am sending 50.5 Million Dollars. I will be back soon to support Governor Abbott, Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, Ken Paxton for U.S. Senate.
  • South Dakota: I just spoke with Governor Larry Rhoden, of the Great State of South Dakota, and informed him that I am approving 3.4 Million Dollars.
  • North Dakota: I just spoke with Governor Kelly Armstrong, of the beautiful State of North Dakota, and told him I am approving 3.4 Million Dollars…I won BIG all three times.
  • Missouri: I just informed Governor Mike Kehoe that I am approving 19.9 Million Dollars for the Great State of Missouri.

Notice that Trump explicitly presented several of his gifts/bribes to the Republican candidates in those red states, not the governors who receive and distribute such funds. Even for Kentucky and Kansas, he didn’t even mention their governors, who happen to be Democrats.

Trump’s reference to the politics of his identified recipients, and his bragging about past election results, makes it unmistakable that these FEMA grants were not meant to benefit disaster victims. They are in-kind donations to GOP political campaigns in the nine weeks remaining before the midterm elections.

In July, Trump blocked aid to blue states – New Jersey, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New York – after FEMA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration determined that they met the requirements for receiving aid. Even worse, a study by E&E News by Politico found that Trump “has approved just 23 percent of blue state requests for disaster aid, compared to 89 percent for red states.” Sen. Gary Peters (D-MI) put that study to good use in a Senate hearing where he confronted Homeland Security Secretary, Markwayne Mullin…

PETERS: Yes or no, do you think it's right for a president to approve disaster aid based on whether a state voted for him instead of the amount of damage in the state? This chart behind me is pretty dramaticMARKWAYNE MULLIN: That's not my experience of the president P: This chart speaks volumes

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2026-06-02T20:00:31.487Z

This is all further evidence that Trump hates America. He is only for himself. If he sees no personal advantage to any policy that crosses his desk, it goes in the trash. But he will spend unlimited amounts of the money of the American people – including that intended for disaster victims – on himself and dole it out to anyone who fluffs his insatiable ego.
