WTF? OAN Host Calls for Mass Executions of Those Who ‘Undermined’ Trump’s Reelection

With each day that passes it becomes ever more clear that America dodged a bullet when it voted to evict Donald Trump from the White House. The openly hostile and fascistic tendencies of Trump and his glassy-eyed disciples posed a clear and present danger to the nation and the world. And lest we let our guard down, we’re not out of the woods yet.

Pearson Sharp is a presenter with the tiny but noisy Trump-fluffing web caster, One America News Network (OAN). The so-called “network” has a sleazy reputation for spreading blatant lies and conspiracy theories, mostly propping up Trump and his “Big Lie” that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him. They have even been found to be raising funds for the farce in Arizona that is now commonly referred to as a “fraudit.”

However, Sharp has now taken the network to new and frightening lows with his commentary on the post-election shenanigans of the Trumpian Republican Party. He just delivered the following tirade that literally advocates mass executions of those he asserts were trying to “carry out a coup against” Trump:

“How many people were involved in these efforts to undermine the election? Hundreds? Thousands? Tens of thousands? How many people does it take to carry out a coup against the presidency?

“And when all the dust settles from the audit in Arizona and the potential audits in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Wisconsin, what happens to all these people who are responsible for overthrowing the election? What are the consequences for traitors who meddled with our sacred democratic process and tried to steal power by taking away the voices of the American people? What happens to them?

“Well, in the past, America had a very good solution for dealing with such traitors: Execution.”

This hysterical harangue sounds very much like the ravings of the unmedicated schizophrenic on the street corner yelling at passing cars. The conspiracy Sharp is alleging is populated by “tens of thousands” of clandestine plotters, all managing to keep their identities, and the plot, secret. What’s more, they have carried out this evil enterprise without even a shred of evidence leaking out that would expose their dastardly scheme. Really?

Sharp is also heralding additional audits, that do not actually exist, in five other states. He insists without basis that they will corroborate the Arizona absurdity. Never mind that that charade still hasn’t proved anything untoward, despite the suspicious mishandling of the ballots that are supposedly being audited by their agents, the Cyber Ninjas.

Sharp disingenuously asks what the consequences are “for traitors who meddled with our sacred democratic process and tried to steal power by taking away the voices of the American people?” That question would be more appropriate directed at Sharp, OAN, and Trump, who are the only ones actively seeking to overturn the will of the voters after election officials in all fifty states (Democratic and republican) validated the election results.

But the worst part of this Hitlerian outburst is Sharp’s advocacy of executions for an unspecified army of alleged traitors. These are actually just public servants, elected representatives, and even voters, who wisely chose not to make themselves accomplices to Trump’s crimes.

For that Sharp has sentenced tens of thousands of innocent Americans to death. Which is why America is still threatened by the madness of cult leader Trump. His refusal to accept reality is driving the nation toward another deadly insurrection that could make January 6th look like a walk in the park. And the whole of the Republican Party remains quietly compliant, and even cooperative. Stay vigilant, people. This isn’t over yet.

How are Giuliani’s Lies, that Got Him Suspended, Any Different than Fox News Lies?

This was inevitable: Reports Thursday morning reveal that Rudy Giuliani, the personal attorney for the former reality TV game show host and evicted White House occupant, Donald Trump, had his license to practice law in the state of New York suspended.

According to ABC News, “The ruling was made in response to a complaint filed by the New York Bar Association.” Giuliani is the third Lawyer associated with Trump whose absence of legal ethics resulted in sanctions by the Bar. He joins Roy Cohn and Michael Cohen who suffered for their fealty to an amoral real estate swindler and political con man.

The Appellate Division of the New York Supreme Court stated in its ruling that the New York Bar “has sustained its burden of proving that respondent made knowing false and misleading factual statements to support his claim that the presidential election was stolen from his client.” The ruling went on to state that…

“There is uncontroverted evidence that respondent communicated demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts, lawmakers and the public at large in his capacity as lawyer for former President Donald J. Trump and the Trump campaign in connection with Trump’s failed effort at reelection in 2020.

“These false statements were made to improperly bolster respondent’s narrative that due to widespread voter fraud, victory in the 2020 United States presidential election was stolen from his client. We conclude that respondent’s conduct immediately threatens the public interest and warrants interim suspension from the practice of law, pending further proceedings before the Attorney Grievance Committee.”

There is abundant support for the court’s ruling, and it’s likely that Giuliani’s suspension will become a disbarment in time. His reckless disregard for the truth is well documented and should be punished accordingly. In the months following Trump’s decisive defeat to Joe Biden, Giuliani lost some sixty court cases in his futile attempt to overturn the will of the people.

However, Giuliani was not alone in these acts of deception. Fox News was a willing and active partner in spreading Trump’s lies about alleged election fraud for which there was never a shred of evidence. In fact, if you substitute “Fox News” for the references to Giuliani in the court ruling quoted above, it is just as valid. For instance…

  • There is uncontroverted evidence that [Fox News] communicated demonstrably false and misleading statements.
  • These false statements were made to improperly bolster [Fox News]’s narrative that due to widespread voter fraud, victory in the 2020 United States presidential election was stolen from [Trump].
  • We conclude that [Fox News]’s conduct immediately threatens the public interest.

Which makes one wonder, if Giuliani can be sanctioned for his flagrant and inflammatory misconduct, what should be the punishment for Fox News? They were at least as harmful to the public welfare as Trump (who has ben banished from social media due to his lies) and his bumbling lawyer. Probably more so considering their reach and influence among the glassy-eyed disciples who continue to be devoted to the network’s purveyors of propaganda, such as Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham, Jeanine Pirro, Greg Gutfeld, Maria Bartiromo, and the “Curvy Couch” potatoes of Fox and Friends.

This action by the New York Bar is not the only mess Giuliani has made for himself. The voting technology company, Smartmatic, filed a billion dollar lawsuit against the proponents of Trump’s election fraud fictions, and explicitly named Giuliani as a defendant, along with Fox News (as well as Lou Dobbs, Maria Bartiromo, Jeanine Pirro, and another Trump attorney who’s headed for trouble, Sidney Powell).

So Giuliani will have his hands filled for a while as he fights to retain whatever shred of dignity he imagines he still has left. But Fox News will continue to deceive their easily fooled viewers for the foreseeable future. They will persist in lying about Trump and his election delusions, as well as everything from Trump’s Capitol Hill insurrection, to the voting reform initiatives by Democrats in Congress, to the COVID-19 pandemic that Fox and Trump have so grievously exacerbated. If only there was a licensing board that could suspend Fox News.

Fox News, Who Attacked Kamala Harris for Not Going to the Border, Now Attacks Her for Going

Never let it be said that Fox News isn’t capable or adjusting their perspective when circumstances change. The problem is that they are usually adjusting an already warped perspective to one that’s warped even more. In the process Fox News can be relied upon to be wrong whatever the circumstance.

In March, President Joe Biden assigned Vice-President Kamala Harris the task of investigating the immigration issue and proposing potential solutions. And every day for the past three months Fox News has made it a habit to mark how many days it has been between her receiving that assignment and visiting the border. Never mind that her physical presence on the border was in no way required for the task that she was assigned. Her role was to evaluate the problems that lead to migration in the first place, not law enforcement.

However, the task that Fox News was assigned was to plant disparaging stories in the media about all things related to Biden and his administration. That usually took the form of bizarre trivialities that served no purpose other than to attack Harris. Some of the petty criticisms included the time she allegedly disrespected Memorial Day, or the time she supposedly caused an international incident, or the time she allegedly profited off of selling her books to migrant children. None of those contrivances contained a shred of truth.

On Wednesday it was announced that Harris would be making a trip to the border later this week. So you might think that Fox News would be satisfied that their hectoring had produced their desired, albeit disingenuous, result. You would be wrong. After spending months attacking Harris for not going to the border, Fox News quickly shifted gears and is now attacking her for going. Witness this exchange between Fox’s Peter Doocy and White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki:

Doocy: Why is the Vice-President visiting the border this week when earlier this month she dismissed a trip like that saying it would be a grand gesture?
Psaki: She also said in an interview with NBC that she would be open to going to the border if it was an appropriate time.

So Doocy’s first question on the subject was to complain that Harris is now going to do what he had been previously complaining she hadn’t done. What’s more, he was dishonestly framing his question so as to ignore the fact that Harris had always said that she intended to visit the border when the time was right. But she isn’t the “border czar,” and it wasn’t the focus of her task.

In fact, there are distinct disadvantages to a White House delegation arriving on the scene with the requisite security, media, and other distractions from the core duties of those working on real border problems. Self-serving photo-ops were the purview of the last administration.

Harris’ visit will now be undertaken with a foundation of knowledge acquired from her summits with the leaders of the countries in the region. It now has greater potential to be more productive, rather just a political stunt. What would have made it a “grand gesture” would have been to go without the preparation needed to make the trip worthwhile.

But Fox News is narrowly focused only how they can spin it negatively. And it’s a safe bet that they will harshly condemn whatever she ends up doing while she’s there. Just like they did while Biden was abroad last week to meet with leaders from Europe and Russia, and Fox’s primetime propagandists demonstrated their unflinching loyalty – to Vladimir Putin.

Tucker Carlson Exposed as an Anonymous Source Who Sucks Up to the Media He Hates

For years there has been a debate about whether the hacks on Fox News actually believe the lies they tell every day. Some people think they are just spreading disinformation because it advances their right-wing agenda. Others say they are just in it for the money. For the Murdoch family that runs Fox News there’s no doubt that it’s both. But the “entertainers” on the air could swing either way.

However, a new report in the New York Times sheds some light on one of Fox’s primetime propagandists. Their Senior White Nationalist, Tucker Carlson, has emerged as the network’s foremost purveyor of unadulterated bullpucky. His strident tirades have run the gamut of conspiracy crackpottery from paranoid delusions that COVID vaccines don’t work and “they” aren’t telling you, to reckless accusations that the FBI orchestrated Trump’s Capitol Hill insurrection.

But the common thread that weaves through virtually every screwball notion Carlson disgorges is that the media is behind a coordinated plot to deceive innocent Americans by way of deliberate, manufactured falsehoods. To be fair, if he’s talking about Fox News, he’s 100% right. But suffice to say that he’s aiming his baseless invective everywhere else. And the report in the Times reveals that Carlson has been working both sides of the battle:

“Tucker Carlson of Fox News is a ‘go-to source’ for the US political media he claims to ‘hate’ and has called ‘cowards’ and ‘cringing animals not worthy of respect’ – according to a columnist for the New York Times.”

“Ben Smith, a former editor-in-chief of BuzzFeed News, outed Carlson as ‘the go-to guy for sometimes-unflattering stories about Donald J Trump and for coverage of the internal politics of Fox News (not to mention stories about Mr Carlson himself)’.”

It’s good to know that while Carlson is mouthing off about how evil the establishment media is, he is simultaneously feeding them gossip behind the scenes. Never mind that most of what Carlson would have to divulge is probably untrue. After all, the lawyers for Fox News defended him (successfully) in a defamation suit by insisting that ‘no reasonable person” would believe anything he says.

So what’s in it for Carlson? Aside from the high he gets from pretending that he’s important and people care what he has to say, he also gets to build a shield against potential criticism. The Times reports that one of the news publications that Carlson spills to explained that “If you open yourself up as a resource to mainstream media reporters, you don’t even have to ask them to go soft on you.” Which makes sense. Journalists aren’t in the habit of burning their sources.

Based on his past behavior, it isn’t surprising that Carlson would be so flagrantly two-faced as he lambastes the press at every opportunity. It’s fair to assume that he is likely dishing dirt about his colleagues from one side of his crooked mouth, while sucking up to his handlers for gentle treatment from the other. So Carlson is both a backstabber and a self-serving coward. Who would have thought it?

PSAKI BOMB: Jen Psaki Scorches Jim Jordan for Gaslighting on Gas Prices

Nothing brightens the dawn of a new day more than the glare on the horizon of new Psaki Bomb, courtesy of President Biden’s illuminating press secretary, Jen Psaki. On a regular basis she enfeebles the hapless White House correspondent from Fox News, Peter Doocy.

However, on Monday morning the Republican Shrieker of the House, Jim Jordan, arose to hammer out a typically dishonest tweet aimed at disparaging Biden and deceiving the public. Unfortunately for Jimmy, Ms. Psaki was awake and aware of his twitter trolling. She replied in the manner that has distinguished her as both brilliant and more than a little snarky:

Indeed. Everyone who is the least bit informed about the economy knows that gas prices were artificially low last year due to that deadly pandemic thingy that caused folks to stay home. With demand down significantly, the gas companies reduced their prices. Now that the nation is reopening for business, people are moving about again, which increases both the demand and the cost of fuel.

Somebody needs to explain these simple concepts to Mr. Jordan. And Ms. Psaki is the perfect teacher. She helpfully included information about the sharply reduced unemployment rate. That’s another result of the Biden administration’s phenomenally successful COVID vaccine program that has enable people to return to the work and leisure activities they enjoyed prior to the pandemic.

Earlier in the day, Psaki was interviewed on CBS This Morning where she reiterated the Biden administration’s opposition to raising gas taxes:

“We need a few more details about the deal and about the proposal, including specifics about how to pay for it. An idea that’s been floating around there, that certainly the President would not support, is a gas tax which would raise taxes on people making less than $400,000.00 a year. We’re just not gonna stand for that. And we’re not gonna accept that.”

When will these right-wing cretins get it that they can’t use tactics that would work on jealous airheads like Kayleigh McEnany on Jen Psaki? The more they try, the more they humiliate themselves. Which, while it makes them look stupid, at least it’s entertaining for the rest of us.

Fox News Ignores Questions About Tucker Carlson’s Crackpot FBI Conspiracy Theory

It’s standard operating procedure for Fox News to stonewall any attempt to get them to validate the dystopian fantasies that they pass off as “news.” They do that for two reasons: 1) They can’t validate it. And 2) They don’t want to. Their fictionalized reporting is a deliberate decision on their part to construct a version of unreality that advances their political agenda.

Recently Fox’s Senior White Nationalist, Tucker Carlson, contributed to his litany of lies with what may be his most perverse and dangerous diatribe to date. He pontificated tediously about his preposterous, and utterly dishonest, conspiracy theory that the FBI actually participated in and organized the January 6th riots on Capitol Hill by Trump’s insurrectionists. His half-baked (at best) theory asserted that the existence of “unindicted co-conspirators” translated to FBI operatives. This is some truly ripe bull manure. For one thing, the FBI would never characterize their own people as conspirators. More likely they are suspects who are cooperating with law enforcement. But Carlson would never allow reason or reality to interfere with his fractured fairy tales.

After being ridiculed by most credible journalists, and much of the Internet, Carlson stubbornly doubled down on his wankery. And he succeeded in fertilizing the wingnut mediasphere with his ravings. He even got some Republican lawmakers to parrot his mind-numbing nonsense, including (of course) Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-QAnon), and Matt Gaetz (R-Pedophile). Which prompted CNN’s Brian Stelter to pose some basic journalism questions to Fox News…

“Did anyone vet Carlson’s reporting? Did the Fox newsroom go through his reporting? Did they examine it ahead of time? Why haven’t they followed up on it since? Carlson alleged this explosive story. He’s claiming this is an incredible bombshell. Where is the Fox newsroom? Why isn’t Special Report with Bret Baier covering this every day? Why isn’t Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace covering this incredible claim right now?

“We know why, right? Because Carlson is out there on his own. Carlson Island. He does own an island. He’s out there on his own, claiming to be telling the truth to viewers. And the defense from Fox is that it’s an opinion show and everyone knows it’s an opinion show. But it looks like news, it smells like news, and his fans think it’s news. They trust Tucker more than they trust real reports.”

Ironically, Carlson is notorious for asking “questions” that are actually thinly disguised accusations. But he’s too cowardly to answer any himself. And there is no way that Fox News will do anything that resembles responsible vetting of this malarkey. Not only is it unverifiable due to being completely contrived, but Fox wants the disinformation to persist and to spread.

What Fox News sometimes refer to as their “news side” programs won’t fact-check Carlson because they’re afraid of him. They know that his disciples will viciously attack them (rhetorically and potentially physically) if they dare to correct their Prophet of Prevarication.

Remember, Fox News lawyers actually defended Carlson in a defamation case (successfully) by asserting that Carlson…

“…cannot be understood to have been stating facts, [and that] given Mr. Carlson’s reputation, any reasonable viewer ‘arrive[s] with an appropriate amount of skepticism’ about the statements he makes.”

Let that sink in. The argument by the lawyers that are on Carlson’s side is that no reasonable person would buy his BS. In other words, only idiots would believe that anything Carlson says is true. Which is convenient because idiots make up the majority of his viewers.

Breaking BS on Fox News: Hunter Biden is Selling His Artwork to… Russians? Drug Cartels?

Fox News is continuing to have difficulties finding anything substantive – or real – that they can use to attack President Biden. That’s why they’ve been resorting to pitiful, manufactured “scandals” like whether or not he wears a face mask, or blaming him for a sauce shortage at Chick-fil-A, or mocking the romance in his marriage. But try as they might, they just can’t seem to shake his broad-based popularity.

The latest fetish on Fox is their “scoop” that Hunter Biden has taken up painting and his work is selling for big bucks. This earth shattering exposé was featured on Fox’s “The Five” where co-host Dagen McDowell was visibly shaken by this stunning affront to her alleged morals (video below):

“I guess his Burisma money ran out. Hunter Biden is apparently an artist now. He’s selling his abstract work for as much as half a million dollars per painting. So who’s buying this crap? Hunter’s art dealer says sales are confidential, which is raising the question, once again, of whether the First Son is selling access.”

This “crap”? Is she an art critic now? If so, she has some competition from her fellow co-host and noted art expert, Greg Gutfeld, who said that Biden’s paintings look like “tramp vomit” (or is it “trump”). And Jesse Watters chimed in with the obligatory conspiracy theory to explain everything:

“So you could have a Russian billionaire hand the Biden family a half a million dollars and the Biden family just gives the guy a water color back. And we’re not supposed to say wait a second? The media has no clue what’s going on here?”

Watters also claimed that this “violates every spirit of the law. […] It’s gotta be illegal to do this, right? It has to be illegal.” Of course, he didn’t bother to cite any legal statute that this supposedly violated.

For good measure, Fox’s Jason Chaffetz fleshed out the conspiratorial drama in a separate article for the Fox News website:

“Who just paid $500,000 to buy a painting from novice artist Hunter Biden? We don’t know. […] let’s think for a minute how convenient this arrangement might be for anyone wanting to buy access to the president of the United States. […] The purchases are confidential. Who is to know if it’s a foreign government, a drug cartel, or a Ukrainian oligarch buying access to the artist or his family?”

Without any evidence whatsoever, Chaffetz has implied that these art sales could have been made to foreign enemies and criminals. He also claimed that the sales themselves were just “a magnet for corruption.” Never mind that he doesn’t have a shred of proof to support his reckless charges. That isn’t important to these shameless character assassins. The only thing that matters to them is how much damage they can do.

For the record, the value of art is measured on fluid scale that takes into consideration both tangible and intangible factors. And the notoriety of celebrity (i.e. a president’s son) can significantly inflate the work’s selling price. That isn’t an indication of corruption. And confidentiality is not imposed by the artist. It is a contractual agreement between the buyer and the art dealer. So Hunter may not even know who the buyer is.

What drenches this in hypocrisy is that Fox News has never done similarly scandalous stories about Donald Trump whose corruption was right out in the open. His brazen profiteering while president included charging taxpayers for accommodations at his hotels and golf resorts for family, staff, members of Congress, Secret Service, political organizations, and yes, even foreign operatives with business before the U.S. government.

Some estimates of Trump’s ill-gotten gain go as high as $8,000,000 during his single term in office. And that isn’t even counting the untoward profiteering of Ivanka, Jared Kushner, and the rest of the Trump clan.

In Trump’s case we know exactly where the money was coming from (politically and financially conflicted parties), and where it was going (into his pocket). In Hunter’s case there is isn’t a hint of impropriety. Nevertheless, Fox News goes ballistic over Hunter’s innocent ventures, while ignoring Trump’s flagrant and self-serving fraud. Because that’s how organs of bias and disinformation work. And Fox News does it better than anyone.

Fox News and Republicans are Lying Extra Hard to Confuse Everyone About Voting Reform

Ever since Joe Biden humiliated Donald Trump – beating him by more than seven million votes – the despondent Cult of Trump has whined that Trump didn’t really lose. They continue to cling desperately to the “Big Lie” that the election was rigged and that the presidency was stolen. These are the fantastical delusions that led to the deadly Capitol Hill insurrection of January 6th.

However, despite having seven months, sixty court cases (all of which they lost), and unlimited hours of right-wing media on Fox News and elsewhere, they have never been able to provide even a sliver of evidence to support their hysterical, fringe-dwelling theories. Consequently, many Republican governors and legislators have turned their focus to future elections and a full-bore campaign of voter suppression.

That effort was met by Democrats in Congress who introduced the “For the People Act,” a package of voting reforms aimed at preserving democracy. It hasn’t been easy. The conservative Democratic senator from West Virginia, Joe Manchin, has been, until recently, gumming up the works. But now he has released his compromise version of the bill which has been positively received, even by the foremost advocate of voting reform, Stacy Abrams.

Unfortunately, that hasn’t been enough to move the knee-jerk Republican obstructionists. In fact, they just became even more committed to their anti-democratic agenda. That was plainly evident in this exchange between Dana Perino of Fox News and GOP Senator Tom Cotton (video below):

Perino: One thing that’s a little puzzling about this is that Manchin Lite is very similar to the Georgia voting bill. And the Georgia voting bill, Stacy Abrams said, is Jim Crow 2. So you could be a little confused as to what the Democrats are actually trying to do here. Do you have any idea?
Cotton: I’ll confess I’m always confused whenever Stacy Abrams is advocating for some radical voting proposal. But Dana, I think it’s pretty clear what the Democrats are trying to do. S1 is the Democrats bill to rig our elections forever. They can’t pass their unpopular agenda, so rather than changing their agenda, they want to change the rules of our democracy.

Okay. Try to follow this. Perino says that Manchin’s compromise is similar to the Georgia bill that Democrats staunchly oppose as blatant voter suppression. But it isn’t similar at all. So it’s not surprising that Abrams supports the Manchin compromise, but not the Georgia bill. Then Cotton admits that he’s confused, which shouldn’t surprise anyone either. But he also complains that Manchin’s compromise is a “radical voting proposal,” which Perino just said is very similar to the Georgia bill. So Cotton is bashing as radical the ultra-conservative Georgia bill that he has previously praised.

Don’t hurt yourself trying to make any sense of this. It is a profoundly ludicrous stab at disparaging any attempt to restore fairness to America’s voting processes. Cotton continued in his dishonest misrepresentations by claiming that “This bill would require taxpayer funding of politician’s campaigns.” That’s a flaming lie. The proposals that make up Manchin’s compromise are clearly spelled out. They include…

  • Automatic voter registration
  • Making election day a holiday
  • Mandating at least 15 days of early voting for federal elections
  • Banning partisan gerrymandering
  • Voter ID provisions

However, nowhere in the list is anything suggesting taxpayer funded political campaigns. Cotton has to know this. He’s presenting himself as knowledgeable about the proposed legislation. He has even made a determination that it would be unconstitutional because “the states have primary authority under our Constitution to regulate our election systems.” However, he’s flat out wrong about that as well. Article I, Section 4, Clause 1 of the Constitution states that…

“The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.”

What we have here is a Republican senator purposefully lying in order to muddy the waters so that people can’t have a rational understanding of perhaps the most significant feature of American democracy, the sanctity of the vote. And he’s doing it with the full cooperation and complicity of Fox News. It’s because of deliberate transgressions against the American people like this that we must remain vigilant and committed to achieving real reform despite the obstacles in our way.

Fox News Gets GOP Activists to Pose as ‘Everyday Americans’ Against Critical Race Theory

If anyone still needs convincing that Fox News is an entertainment medium that produces nothing but hostile and divisive, politically charged melodrama, this may be the proof you’ve been waiting for. The devotedly right-wing purveyor of propaganda has been staging episodes to stir up opposition to Critical Race Theory (CRT), an academic field of study of that is defined as an “attempt to understand how victims of systemic racism are affected by cultural perceptions of race.”

However, on Fox News CRT is just a thinly veiled substitute for anything related to racial politics. And Fox uses it to advance their blatantly racist agenda. To achieve that goal Fox has been airing segments that featured allegedly ordinary folks who are appalled at what they claim is indoctrination and/or brainwashing of their children. A more accurate description would educating.

These segments are carefully scripted to inflame Fox’s easily fooled audience. And they also cast the players to assure maximum deception. The guests that Fox book, it turns out, are not so ordinary after all all. They are, in fact, Republican operatives. Media Matters has compiled a collection of some the recent imposers, including…

  • Ian Prior: A “Loudoun County parent” who has also worked for the National Republican Congressional Committee and a Karl Rove super PAC.
  • Quisha King: An an “everyday American” who is also a GOP strategist and worked for the Republican National Committee in 2020.
  • Patti Hidalgo Menders: A “Loudoun County, Virginia, parent” who also works for Majority Strategies, a GOP media consulting firm.
  • Lilit Vanetsyan: A “Fairfax County teacher” who is a reporter for the pro-Trump Right Side Broadcasting Network.
  • Barry Bennett: A “Virginia Little League Parent” who was also a senior adviser to Trump’s 2016 campaign.
  • Nicole Neily: A “parent fighting against CRT” who was also affiliated with the conservative FreedomWorks.
  • Elizabeth Schultz: A “school board member” who was also a former Trump administration official.
  • Carrie Lukas: A “Virginia mom” who worked at the Independent Women’s Forum and wrote “Checking Progressive Privilege.”
  • Bridget Ziegler: A “mother of three girls” who is also a precinct committeewoman for the Republican Party of Sarasota County.
  • Deborah Flora: A “school District mom” who also hosts a right-wing radio program.
  • Joe Mobley: A “father of three” who also hosts a podcast on how to respond to criticisms from liberals.

This is typical of how Fox News stages their so-called “news” presentations. Their hosts are partisan mouthpieces who have no expertise in journalism or public affairs. Their guests are invariably right-wing shills who are committed to advancing their political interests. And all of them are shameless liars who are more interested in scoring points than informing viewers. Yet somehow these cretins still have the gall to accuse others of indoctrination and brainwashing.

Hypocrisy Unchained: Fox News is Appalled that Biden ‘Snapped’ at a CNN Reporter

The transition from the surreal and hostile psychoses of Donald Trump, to the decidedly more rational and stable personality of Joe Biden, has a produced a series of “eye rolling” moments that can provoke both laughter and confusion. There has been a desperate struggle by Fox News and other right-wing media to contrive “scandals” from trivialities. Whether it’s mocking the romance in Biden’s marriage, or lying about Kamala Harris selling books to migrant children.

The latest hypocrisy by Fox News is their expression of horror because, as they put it, “President Biden snapped at a reporter at the end of his press conference.” The reporter, Kaitlan Collins of CNN, asked Biden why he was “confident” that Vladimir Putin would change his behavior. Biden’s reply resulted in this exchange:

Biden: I’m not confident he’ll change his behavior. What in the hell, what do you do all the time? When did I say I was confident? Let’s get this straight. I said what will change their behavior is if the rest of the world reacts to them and diminishes their standing in the world. I’m not confident of anything. I’m just stating a fact.
Collins: But given his past behavior has not changed, and in that press conference after sitting down with you for several hours, [Putin] denied any involvement in cyber attacks, he downplayed human rights abuses, he even refused to say [Russian dissident] Alexei Navalny’s name. So, how does that account to a constructive meeting?
Biden: If you don’t understand that, you’re in the wrong business.

Okay. Biden was a little testy because Collins misquoted him. But has Fox News ever met Donald Trump? Are they seriously making a fuss about Biden’s interactions with the press when they never said a word about Trump referring to them in Stalinist terms as “the enemy of the people.” Did Fox News miss all the times that Trump insulted reporters – especially women – as “disgraceful,” “liars,” “stupid,” “fake news,” and so much more?

Trump regarded the media as his enemy. Throughout his presidency he viciously maligned the constitutionally protected free press and reporters personally. And his abuse was noted by the Committee to Protect Journalists that declared him to be “an unprecedented threat to the rights of journalists and […] press freedom around the world.”

Another difference between Trump and Biden was that, within a couple of hours, Biden apologized to Collins, which she graciously accepted:

Donald Trump never showed the slightest respect for the press, unless it was for the drooling sycophants of Fox News, Newsmax, One America News Network, or other disreputable propagandists pretending to be journalists. But Fox News suddenly regards a minor expression of annoyance by Biden as intolerable. It’s episodes like this that affirm their well deserved reputation for being shameless purveyors of disinformation and lies.
