Tucker Carlson is ‘Pissed’ at Fox News for Not Backing His Lies About NSA Spying on Him

Are you ready for the food fight of the decade? There appears to be some simmering tensions in the ivory tower home to Fox News. Their top rated host, Tucker Carlson, is reported to be “furious” with the network executives because they aren’t as stupid as his viewers and refuse to believe the idiotic ravings that emanate from his steaming conspiracy factory.

Fox News, Tucker Carlson, Bullshit Factory

CNN is reporting that Carlson is hopping mad at the propaganda network’s honchos “for not vigorously defending him amid his evidence-free claims that the National Security Agency spied on him in a conspiracy to destroy his TV show.” One source said that “right now he’s ‘extra pissed.'” This budding feud was ignited when Carlson used his Fox pulpit to disseminate a bizarre allegation that he is being watched by the feds:

“Yesterday, we heard from a whistleblower within the U.S. government who reached out to warn us that the NSA – the National Security Agency – is monitoring our electronic communications and is planning to leak them in an attempt to take this show off the air.”

That paranoid delusion is preposterous on so many levels. Firstly, the NSA has better things to do than try to get Carlson’s lame show canceled. Secondly, if they were monitoring him, that would indicate that he, or whoever he was communicating with, was a foreign agent and a national security threat. Thirdly, contrary to Carlson’s embarrassingly stupid musings, there are many other sources who could have allegedly “leaked” his emails to the press, including his producers, hackers, and those he was emailing.

The absence of any comment or support by Carlson’s bosses at Fox News is significant. An allegation that the NSA is spying on one of their primetime hosts would cause any other news organization to object strenuously and demand an explanation and an immediate halt to such unlawful surveillance. But Fox News has said nothing after repeated requests for comment.

That is a clear vote of “no confidence” in Carlson. Which shouldn’t surprise anyone after their own lawyers defended him in a defamation case, successfully arguing that “given Mr. Carlson’s reputation, any reasonable viewer ‘arrive[s] with an appropriate amount of skepticism’ about the statements he makes.” In other words, Carlson’s reputation is so wretched that no reasonable person would believe anything he says.

What’s more, Carlson’s has crossed the line of bombastic babbling many times before. For instance, he baselessly accused the FBI of orchestrating the January 6th insurrection. He claimed that health authorities know that vaccines don’t work and they aren’t telling you. And his recent exposure as an anonymous source who tattled to the press about his Fox News confederates could be his motivation for this NSA bullpucky. He may just be trying to shift attention away from his own betrayal to some imaginary government evildoers. However, in his own defense Carlson said that…

“I’m not mad at anyone at Fox. If I was, I’d say so. I’m mad at you [CNN] for lying relentlessly. What a loathsome person you are. Please print that.”

Well, CNN did print that. And it’s notable that Carlson, despite his impotent indignation, wasn’t able to refute anything that CNN reported about Fox News failing to back up his “bombshell” allegations. When your lies are too ludicrous for Fox News to get behind, a rational and honest person might want to take some time to reconsider. But with “rational” and “honest” being the operative words, that leaves Tucker Carlson out.
