LOL: Geraldo Rivera of Fox News Floats Naming COVID-19 Vaccine for Trump

Making a play for the 2020 Fox News Flunky Hall of Shame, Geraldo Rivera appeared on Fox and Friends Friday morning to propose what amounts to a bribe in order to get Donald Trump to admit he’s a loser. In a segment wherein Geraldo essentially concedes that Trump lost the election to Joe Biden, he proposes a solution to Trump’s stubborn refusal to accept reality.

Donald Trump Virus

It’s clear to most Americans that Joe Biden is the President-elect of the United States and will take the oath of office on January 20, 2021. But Trump is still disputing that fact and engaging in a delusional campaign to overturn the election results. His campaign consists mainly of lies and conspiracy theories dreamed up by Trump and his pathetic legal team that has lost virtually every case it has brought to court. Not to worry though because, according to Rudy Giuliani, losing is part of his master plan.

Trump’s obsession with opposing a peaceful transition is blatantly anti-democratic and un-America. That’s a position that he’s actually proud of. But the necessity of removing him from office, and allowing the orderly transition to a Biden administration is something that Trump’s sociopathic narcissism prevents him from accepting. Consequently, veteran Fox News Trump-fluffer, Geraldo Rivera, came up with a plan to reward Trump for his childish obstinance:

“I think I had an idea. With the world so divided and everyone telling him he’s gotta give up, time to leave, and time to transition, and all the rest of it, why not name the vaccine for Trump? Make it like, ‘Have you gotten your Trump yet?’ It would be a nice gesture to him, and years from now it would become just a nice generic name. Have you gotten your Trump yet? I got my Trump, I’m fine.’

“I wish we could honor him in that way because he is definitely the prime architect of this Operation Warp Speed and, but for him, we’d still be waiting into the grim winter for these amazing, miraculous medical breakthroughs.”

HOLY CRAP! First of all, America does not negotiate with terrorists. Trump shouldn’t require this sort of infantile incentive to obey the law and two and half centuries of American tradition. He needs to step aside simply because he lost and has no other choice. His defiance is causing real harm by inciting outrage among his cult followers, some of whom are advocating civil war.

What’s more, Trump doesn’t deserve any reward for the development of a vaccine for a viral pandemic that he exacerbated due to his ignorance, incompetence, and deliberate malfeasance. If Trump is concerned about what he will be remembered for, he can rest on his responsibility for the deaths of more than 250,000 Americans, and more than a million sickened, many with disabilities that are permanent.

It’s ironic that Geraldo would propose this sort of solution to lure Trump out of the White House like diseased skunk that came in through a hole in the screen door. After all, Trump loves to plaster his name on things that he had nothing to do with.

However, naming a vaccine for Trump would only be appropriate if it recognized his role in killing so many of the people he was obligated but failed to protect. His name should be synonymous with the pain and grief he caused. So we could call it the Trump Virus Vaccine. Then people could ask “Did you get Trump?” And those who weren’t idiots could reply, “No. I got vaccinated.” Then all we would need is a vaccine to prevent infections for the disease that causes the mental dysfunction evident in people like Geraldo, his Fox News cohorts, and the lost souls who fall for Trump’s bullpucky.

Trump’s Lawyer: He’s an ‘Idiot’ Whose Supporters ‘Don’t Care that He’s a Lying, Criminal Dirtbag’

It’s been two and half weeks since election day and Donald Trump is still pursuing a futile and impotent effort to overturn the results of the election that Joe Biden won decisively. His arguments are riddled with lies that are only serving the purposes of Americas enemies who are thrilled that Trump is diminishing faith in the democratic principles upon which our nation rests.

Donald Trump

Trump is running his anti-democracy campaign from the bowels of his White House bunker where he has holed up for nearly two weeks without making a single public statement. However, on Thursday morning Trump turned to his lead Attorney, Rudy Giuliani, who has been doing a bang up job of losing (or dropping) 24 out of 25 court cases filed so far. But never fear. According to Giuliani, losing is all part of his master plan.

Giuliani held a press conference (carried live only by Fox News, Newsmax, and OANN) that Trump said would reveal “An open and shut case of voter fraud.” Instead, Giuliani’s case was centered on what he called “proof” that Trump won in multiple states, but that he couldn’t present his proof to the press, or even to the court. He made the same claim about some 200 affidavits alleging fraud that he also couldn’t show. And the other central theme of his case was his already debunked crackpot assertion that votes for this election were counted in Germany and Spain by a company that was founded in Venezuela with help from China. Throw in George Soros and Hillary’s emails and you have a conspiracy theory bonanza.

Joining Giuliani at the press conference was Trump’s senior legal adviser and White House counsel, Jenna Ellis. She has become a familiar face on Fox News as she endeavors to spread disinformation on behalf of Trump. Ellis is as devoted a Trump-fluffer as anyone he has ever put forth to spread his bull manure. But she didn’t start out that way. CNN reports that

“Ellis, an attorney and former law professor from Colorado, repeatedly slammed then-candidate Trump as an ‘idiot,’ who was ‘boorish and arrogant,’ and a ‘bully’ whose words could not be trusted as factually accurate. She called comments he made about women ‘disgusting,’ and suggested he was not a ‘real Christian.’ In one March 2016 Facebook post, Ellis said Trump’s values were ‘not American,’ linking to a post that called Trump an ‘American fascist.’

Ellis isn’t the only person that is now embracing Trump after after previously expressing decidedly negative views of him. Kellyanne Conway viciously insulted Trump during the 2016 GOP primary. Ted Cruz called him a “pathological liar.” Lindsey Graham said Trump is a “race baiting, xenophobic religious bigot,” and “kook” who is “unfit for office.” All of them are now shameless bootlicking sycophants.

It’s rather telling how many people who have had close associations with Trump feel the same way. His former chief of staff, Gen. John Kelly, said he was an “idiot.” His former secretary of state, Rex Tillerson, said he was a “moron.” His former national security adviser, H.R. McMaster, said he has the “intelligence of a kindergartner.” His former top economic adviser, Gary Cohn, said he was “dumb as shit.” But Ellis also had some ripe commentary on Trump’s cult followers:

“In March 2016, Ellis attacked Trump supporters in a Facebook post for not caring that the Republican candidate was an ‘unethical, corrupt, lying, criminal, dirtbag.’

It isn’t surprising that Trump is regarded as an imbecile by those who know him best. Most Americans already made the same observation. And it also shouldn’t surprise anyone that Trump looks down on the yokels that flock to his Coronavirus Super Spreader Salvation Shows. But what is curious is how eager his devotees are to worship someone who is so transparently dismissive of them. It’s bad enough that they can’t see what a mental basket case he is. Or what a failure he has been at both business and governing. But they are also blind to the disgust he harbors for them and their kind.

The vast majority of his supporters are hicks who would be thrown out of his hotels and golf resorts. But even elitists like Ellis were repulsed by Trump before they got on his payroll. And what they still don’t get is that Trump will throw them overboard just as fast as he drew them in. Just ask all of the people that Trump said were the best when he hired them, but castigated as losers when he fired them, usually just because they dared to tell him the truth about himself. That’s an automatic booting in Trump world.

Trump Brags About Turning a Majority of Republicans Against Democracy

There are many things for which Donald Trump will be remembered. They include being impeached for his complicity with Russian election interference, caging children and separating them from their parents, wasting billions of dollars on a fake border wall that Mexico will never pay for, alienating allies, and driving the economy into a persistent recession. Wait, that aint all.

Donald Trump, Republican, GOP

Trump has also presided over the despoiling the environment, skimming millions of taxpayer funds for himself, wantonly violating innumerable laws, humiliating the nation with his hostile and infantile behavior, and, of course, being responsible for the deaths of a quarter of a million Americans due to his ignorance, incompetence, and deliberate mismanagement of the coronavirus pandemic.

That’s quite a legacy. But it is apparently not enough for Trump. He is using his final days in the White House to purposefully undermine respect for the most fundamental American principles. Rather than accept the obvious and decisive defeat that he was dealt by President-elect Joe Biden, Trump has chosen to malign democracy with repeated assertions that the election he so deservedly lost was “rigged” by an implausible cabal of Democrats, Republicans, press, tech companies, civil servants, and even members of his own administration whom he appointed.

Not surprisingly, Trump’s bitter and selfish defiance of reality has resulted in an attitudinal shift among his weak minded cult followers and Fox News junkies. The consequences have been affirmed in a new poll by Reuters/Ipsos. And Trump is so proud of the findings that he featured it in his Wednesday morning tweetstorm:

Needless to say, literally everything Trump alleged in that tweet is verifiably false. Some of it was even stipulated as false by his attorneys in one of the many court cases he’s filed. For the record, Trump is 1 in 24, a nearly perfect score of lawsuit losses. But never fear, according to his lead attorney, Rudy Giuliani, losing is all part of his master plan.

The rest of his morning Twantrum was filled with baseless allegations that the Democratic victory was achieved by cheating, for which Trump has zero proof. Consequently, most of his tweets were flagged by Twitter as disputed, misleading or otherwise false. But that wrist-slapping hasn’t deterred him from continuing to lie. Nine of his 13 Wednesday morning tweets were also flagged.

The link that Trump provided in the tweet above led to the results of a poll that reveals the extent to which Trump has poisoned the political environment. It found that Republicans – Trump’s base – have abandoned any association with American democratic values. They are now a confederacy of anti-democratic subversives whose loyalty is only to their Dear Leader:

“Altogether, 73% of those polled agreed that Biden won the election while 5% thought Trump won. But when asked specifically whether Biden had ‘rightfully won,’ Republicans showed they were suspicious about how Biden’s victory was obtained. Fifty-two percent of Republicans said that Trump ‘rightfully won,’ while only 29% said that Biden had rightfully won. […] 68% of Republicans said they were concerned that the election was ‘rigged.'”

So a majority of Republicans share the delusional belief that Trump was the actual winner of the election. For that to be true, six million votes would have to be thrown out and the results from at least three states overturned. It’s a preposterous idea that has been nurtured by Trump’s relentless whining that he’s a victim of an extraordinarily powerful league of evildoers. His tweets scream out “UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!!” and “I WON THE ELECTION.” And his minions chant along blindly.

Let’s not forget to give due credit for this mass hysteria to Fox News, a network that Media Matters has documented as having “cast doubt on or pushed conspiracy theories about the election results at least 574 times” just since Fox themselves called the election for Joe Biden. That’s the sort of air cover that turns Trump’s babbling into a thick mass of dogma that coats the brain cavities of his Deplorables.

Make no mistake, Trump, Republicans, and Fox News are doing the dirty work for Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, and other foreign adversaries who are thrilled to see the American people losing faith in their own government. It is an unambiguous act of treason. What’s more, Trump himself used to think so. In 2016 he said that Democrats who disputed the legitimacy of his election were a direct threat to our democracy.”

Democrats, however, were not disparaging democratic processes or voting systems. They were questioning the unsavory relationships between Trump and Russian operatives. Those relationships were well documented and overtly damaging. The only party that is openly hostile to American democracy is Trump’s Republican Party. And that will remain an obstacle to the healing of our nation for the new Biden administration.

It is, therefore, critical that the crimes of the Trump administration be investigated and prosecuted in order to exorcise the demons summoned by Trump and his cohorts. If there aren’t consequences for those crimes, there will be no deterrent for others going forward. And worse, there will be no moral standing for the prospect of American leadership as an example of democratic freedom.

HUH? Giuliani Says Losing Election Fraud Cases is Part of His Plan

Joe Biden’s decisive defeat of Donald Trump has led to an even more humiliating political circus of desperation for the deposed president. Trump is persisting in his ludicrous effort to overturn the election results by filing meritless lawsuits and posting pitiful tweets declaring impotently, in all caps, that “I WON THE ELECTION.”

Rudy Giuliani, Donald Trump

This pathetic spectacle only serves to cement Trump’s legacy as a sore loser who will resort to bizarre measures in order to avoid facing reality. It’s ironic that while Trump is so feverishly disputing the election results now, in 2016 he said that doing so was a direct threat to our democracy.” What’s more, nearly 40% of his tweets asserting election fraud have been flagged by Twitter as misinformation.

Trump’s cavalcade of litigation has been met by almost unanimous failure. To date Trump’s court score is 1 out of 24. The single case he “won” only set back the date for receipt of mail-in ballots in Philadelphia by three days. But as it turns out, this is all part of the master plan by Trump’s crack legal team led by Rudy Giuliani. On Tuesday morning Giuliani was “interviewed” by Senior Fox News Trump-Fluffer, Maria Bartiromo (video below). When asked about the status of his litigation, Giuliani bragged that…

“Frankly, this is a case we would like to see get to the Supreme Court. So, you know, we’re prepared, in some of these cases, to lose and to appeal and to get it to the Supreme Court. You’re not going to win every one of these. I don’t want to say it’s because of a Democrat judge or whatever. Some of them are just as fair as anybody. But in some cases you win, in some cases you lose. The most important thing is this will be our first established vehicle on the way to the Supreme Court.”

Take a moment to let the grandiloquent idiocy of that statement wash over you. Apparently, Giuliani doesn’t know that winning is the preferable outcome of every legal dispute. If you win your case it doesn’t need to go to Supreme Court because … well, because you won, Einstein. It still could get elevated to a higher court if the your opponent appeals, but in the interim you can go on your way as the victor. There is literally zero benefit to losing under any circumstances.

However, if losing is what Giuliani really wants, he’s doing a bang up job. He has a near perfect record of losses. To be fair, some of these weren’t actually losses by a court ruling. Some of them were cases that Trump’s side dropped because even they knew they were bogus, and therefore hopeless. And if that weren’t enough to fill Giuliani and Boss Trump with pride, many of the attorneys who have been representing Trump in these cases have quit. Which leaves the remaining flock of Fox News rejects more glory in which to bask.

Trump can rest assured that his lead attorney will produce many more losses to come. And his PR efforts will will continue to produce gems like the press conference at the the Four Seasons (not the glitzy hotel, the suburban Philly landscaping company). Maybe that’s part of Giuliani’s plan as well. He’ll end up taking his cases to the Supreme Court Tennis Club in Ontario. What better place for a lawyer whose career is synonymous with “racket”?

Trump in 2016: Disputing the Election Results is ‘A Direct Threat to Our Democracy’

In a fearful and despondent psychotic meltdown that surprises no one, Donald Trump is lashing out at a world that refuses to obey his narcissistic demands. He is coming face to face with his inability to control events that displease him. And he is utterly incapable of grasping onto reality and accepting the fact that he is the biggest loser of the 2020 presidential campaign.

Donald Trump

Trump’s dementia is in charge of his rapidly deteriorating mental state. He continues to rant incoherently about ludicrous allegations of election fraud for which he has zero evidence. His blathering on Twitter has been flagged more than 70 times as misleading in just the last week. And he has repeatedly tweeted this desperate plea of imaginary sovereignty:

Trump’s fantasy victory is based on allegations of fraud that have been debunked by every news organization, including a select few at Fox News.

And that certainly plays into Trump’s recent obsession with vilifying Fox News, the rabidly right-wing network that put him in the White House and serves as his Ministry of Propaganda. There is even talk that he intends to start his own media enterprise with the goal of wrecking Fox News.”

In the meantime, a profoundly paranoid Trump persists in his effort to prove that the only reason he lost so pitifully was because of alleged cheating by both Democrats and Republicans who are all out to get him. And just as he promised throughout the campaign, he is adamant about not accepting any election results that show him as the loser. None of that will shock anyone who has paid the slightest attention to Trump in the past. But what’s interesting is how he reacted in 2016 when there was some controversy over his defeat of Hillary Clinton.

The circumstances, of course, were completely different. For one thing, Clinton conceded the day after the election based on the race being called by media analysis of returns. Trump acknowledged this on Twitter. He also expressed his appreciation of Clinton’s statement that “We’ve accepted the outcomes when we may not have liked them.”

Furthermore, in an effort to quell dissent by disappointed Democrats, Trump went on to highlight remarks by Clinton where she warned that Trump “refused to say that he would respect the results of this election.” He noted her assertion that such a refusal is “a direct threat to our democracy,” and that “We have to accept the results and look to the future.” Then he tweeted Clinton’s acceptance that “Trump is going to be our President. We owe him an open mind and the chance to lead.” And he added his own view that “In addition to winning the Electoral College in a landslide, I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally.”

So in 2016 Trump thought that contesting the election results was “a threat to democracy,” that everyone should shut up and “accept the results,” and that the new president deserved “an open mind and the chance to lead.” But in 2020 Trump is disavowing all of that. Now the election results themselves are the threat, no one should take them seriously, and Joe Biden is the mastermind of a bipartisan criminal cabal who must never be allowed to set foot in the Oval Office. As for his margin of victory, it just happens to be exactly the same as Joe Bidens’s, except that Biden’s popular vote was much higher.

For most people that would be considered quite a reversal and a display of rank hypocrisy. But for Trump it’s a routine shift to whatever he happens to believe is in his best interests at the moment.

For the record, Democrats didn’t actually dispute the election results in 2016. They were raising concerns about Trump’s unsavory connections to Russia, as well as his complicity with Russian operatives interfering in the campaign. What’s more, Trump’s obstruction of justice during the investigation was well documented in the Mueller report. But the actual process of voting and the vote tabulations were not being contested.

It’s Trump who is, for the first time in U.S. history, trying to exploit his position to delegitimize American democracy and invalidate the votes of millions of citizens. And he’s doing so without a sliver of proof for any of his preposterous allegations. To the contrary, he is actually dropping many of the lawsuits he filed and several of his lawyers are severing their relationships with him. And all the while he is aware that his actions are carving a dangerous divide among the population and risk inciting violence.

Trump is also neglecting the duties of his office. That’s especially true with respect to managing the increasingly deadly coronavirus pandemic. But then he’s been doing that for months. When his term is finally over, the only things he’ll be remembered for are his racism, his ignorance, his hostility, his ego, and his devotion to golfing, staging cult rallies, watching Fox News, and, of course, Twitter. That’s a legacy that will forever preserve for him the distinction of being the Worst President Ever! You know it. I know it. Everyone knows it. Nobody even comes close.

Twitter Flagged Trump 63 Times in the Last Week for Posting Misinformation

The headline of this article really needs to sink in: Twitter Flagged Trump 63 Times in the Last Week for Posting Misinformation. That’s a profound indictment of Trump’s veracity and ethics, or more accurately, lack thereof. It means that 40% of Trump’s tweets (not including retweets) were found to be so counter to the facts that the public had to be warned that the President of the United States was lying to them.

Donald Trump, Twitter

It took Twitter years to address Trump’s wanton dishonesty, despite it having been well documented to have exceeded 25,000 lies since his inauguration. Now Twitter is attaching a tepid label to his shamelessly deceitful tweets. But to what end? That meager slap on the wrist obviously hasn’t deterred Trump from continuing to misinform (i.e. lie) repeatedly. And it didn’t even include tweets that maligned the media in Stalinist terms as “the enemy of the people,” or referred to derisively to “Human Radical Left garbage,” or celebrated violence against alleged “Antifa SCUM.”. Although it did include Trump’s first acknowledgement that he lost to Joe Biden, which he quickly recanted in a subsequent tweet

Perhaps Twitter will take a more aggressive stance when Trump leaves office. They reportedly said that a civilian Trump will be subject to suspension for his lies and abuse, just like the rest of the Twitter community. But that remains to be seen.

The “disputed” tweets that Twitter so impotently flagged were predominantly related to Trump’s baseless assertions – and psychotic denial – that the election was stolen him from via fraud and corruption by both Democratic and Republican election officials. Fraud and corruption that even his own Department of Homeland Security, and exhaustive studies by the press, confirmed never occurred. It’s just Trump babbling incoherently that he won all of the swing states “by a lot” and is the victim of a “Deep State” cabal to unseat him.

While that may seem like run of the mill Trumpian bluster, it is actually a gravely serious accusation that undermines the legitimacy of American democracy. It carries the false and inflammatory implication of a coup against the state and justifies the rabidly devoted Trump supporters who are using it to advance calls for a civil war. That’s what Trump’s tweets are purposefully fomenting among his dangerously unbalanced cult disciples who hang on every word he utters as gospel. And Twitter is permitting it.

Trump’s persistent refusal to to concede after having lost the election to Joe Biden – by both a historic popular vote majority and what Trump delusionally said was a an electoral college landslide in 2016 – is driven by pure ego and fear. It is the act of an aspiring authoritarian dictator. And it is an unambiguous incitement to violence against the “ignorant, anti-American and anti-Christian” citizens (as he retweeted) who voted against him. Consequently, it is naïve to pretend that Trump’s behavior won’t stir more hostility by the white-wing extremists who idolize him.

And this is taking place at a time when the nation desperately needs healing both politically and literally due to a pandemic that has already taken the lives of nearly a quarter of a million Americans. Trump has effectively abandoned his duties as president in order to press these ludicrous charges of fraud.

It’s painfully obvious that Trump doesn’t care that more than a thousand people are dying every day from the coronavirus. And he doesn’t care if his followers on Twitter harm others to advance his tyrannical political ambitions. Just as he doesn’t care if they – and he – harm others at his Coronavirus Super Spreader Cult Rallies. So Trump is, with Twitter’s docile consent, just adding to the death toll. Something needs to be done ASAP! Hey Twitter … #DeactivateTrump

UPDATE: Another four tweets by Trump were flagged by Twitter on Saturday. Including the following one that indicates a state of delusion that is beyond pathetic:

Trump Said No One Will Talk About COVID After the Election, But He Is

There are numerous reasons why Donald Trump just lost the presidential election. They range from his abhorrent personality to his dangerous incompetence to his pathetic ignorance to his flaming bigotry to … aw hell, there’s too much to keep listing. But among the many reasons, we cannot forget how horribly he mismanaged the coronavirus pandemic that has killed nearly a quarter of a million Americans and counting.

Donald Trump, Coronavirus

For the most part, Trump spent much of the campaign season pretending that COVID-19 didn’t exist, or was already under control. This week he even took credit for a vaccine that he had absolutely nothing to do with, saying that “the Trump Administration has produced a great and safe VACCINE.” The vaccine was actually developed by Pfizer without any aid from Trump or his phony “Operation Warpspeed” initiative. The American people, however, knew that Trump was dealing in deadly lies. Nevertheless, Trump remained steadfast in his virus denialism. At one point he tweeted…

Trump repeatedly implied that the virus was a politically motivated hoax and that all discussion of it would disappear after the election. Sadly, the reality is that COVID-19 has only accelerated its infections, hospitalizations, and fatalities. No one is talking about low death rates or plentiful hospital rooms. Not even Trump. But he is talking about Congress producing a coronavirus relief bill.

What Trump is neglecting to mention is that the House of Representatives passed a bill months ago that Republican Senate leader, Mitch McConnell, has blocked from getting a vote. And ever since then McConnell has refused to negotiate with Democrats. That is also the position of Trump who actually “instructed my representatives to stop negotiating” way back on October 6th. He left open the possibility of restarting negotiations after the election, but only if he won.

Well, Trump lost (although he’s still in a state of denial about it). And on Saturday he tweeted that “Congress must now do a Covid Relief Bill. Needs Democrats support. Make it big and focused. Get it done!” Of course, there is already a bill that has Democrats support. It’s the Republicans who are balking. And when Republicans deign to speak of it, they insist on a small bill that fails to address the massive needs of people, business, and local governments.

The bottom line is that Trump was wrong when said that no one would be talking about the pandemic; he was wrong when lying about a vaccine; he was wrong when he claimed we had “turned the corner”; and he was wrong in attempting to push for relief while implying that Democrats – not himself and the GOP – were stalling. He was just plain wrong about everything, as usual. And his reliable wrongness is going to result in more illness and death until he is finally out of office. At least there is now a light at the end of that dark tunnel.

Trump’s Not Nearly a Million MAGA March Massively Misfires

The mass delusion exhibited by the Cult of Trump continues to manifest in the most bizarre and irrational ways. On Saturday a coalition of white nationalists, neo-Nazis, crackpot conspiracy theorists, and of course, Republicans (or is that redundant?), descended on Washington, D.C. like a flock of vultures. The attendees of the hysterically misnamed “Million MAGA March” were intent on propping up the failed presidential campaign of Donald Trump, whose pitiful denial of reality has infected his most fervent devotees with the same deranged notions of an imaginary victory.

Trump Charlotsville

The marchers fanned out along the streets waving banners and shouting slogans attesting to their utterly unfounded belief that the election was stolen from their Dear Leader. There were estimated to be only a few thousand marchers, but they made up for that lack of numbers with their abundance of yelling and blind hostility. Trump himself was watching the parade and was so impressed that he tweeted…

However, nothing that took place advanced their central, and patently absurd, theme that Trump had actually won reelection. There was no presentation of evidence that any voting irregularities occurred. And even their baseless allegations wouldn’t have overturned the results were they all found to be valid. What’s more, Trump’s own Department of Homeland Security found “no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised.”

So failing in what was the principle justification for the march, the Trump disciples lashed out at what they have come to regard as their most ardent foe, Fox News. That’s right, the rabidly biased network that is most responsible for putting Trump in the White House is now considered to have betrayed the movement and is working for the socialist opposition. One speaker at the rally expressed the opinions of the hive-mind attendees saying that…

“Fox News sucks! How bad is Fox News now? What the hell happened? What a disgrace. They are the enemy of the people.”

That’s an opinion that is shared by Trump who has similarly castigated Fox News for failing to be unflinchingly worshipful at all times. Even interviewing a Democrat on the network is considered to be treasonous. That’s why speculation is running so high that Trump is plotting to launch a competing network with the express purpose of Wrecking Fox News.” In fact, that may be the true motivation behind Trump’s challenging of the election results. He might just be using that as a means to continue fundraising for his post-presidency media enterprise.

However, if the turnout for this March of the MAGA Munchkins is any indication, Trump’s hopes for a successful venture are likely to land him his next bankruptcy. And also his next indictments after he’s caught funneling campaign funds into his personal business pursuits.

On the bright side, Trump has actually succeeded in uniting America – in opposition to Fox News. Now the left, who have long regarded Fox as a brazenly conservative dispenser of right-wing propaganda and an arm of the Republican Party, are joined by the right, who lately have come to see Fox as being in bed with liberals.

So now everybody hates Fox News. Well, except for Trump. Because even though he whines like a baby whenever he thinks that Fox isn’t sufficiently adoring, he still promotes them by posting clips from their programs and with nearly exclusive appearances on their air. It’s a love/hate relationship that twists on the nebulous winds of whatever he watched last – whether it was Sean Hannity fluffing his fragile ego, or some nameless host reporting that Joe Biden won another state. That’s knife’s edge of Trump’s psychosis. And it is only going to get worse in the days before Biden’s inauguration.

The Madness of Deposed King Trump’s ‘Rigged Election’ Whining

For a week and half Donald Trump has been throwing an infantile tantrum over having lost the presidential election to Joe Biden, someone he has tried unsuccessfully to characterize as a mentally deficient socialist. And he even worried that he would have to leave the country if he lost. But now that his defeat is a settled matter, Trump has still not managed to stumble into reality.

Donald Trump, King

Despite the fact that Biden has racked up at least 306 electoral votes, and a six million popular vote lead, Trump continues to insist that he is the “real” winner. While the bunker-dweller hasn’t made a public statement since election day, he has posted dozens of bitter and desperate tweets asserting election fraud without offering even a sliver of evidence. His allegations just keep getting more and more preposterous and anchored to crackpot conspiracy theories invented by fringe Internet trolls.

Which leads us to his latest tweet that serves as a striking example of a mind releasing its last tenuous hold on anything resembling sanity:

This little twantrum requires some additional analysis to truly appreciate it. Let’s begin with the fact that Democrats have not been saying elections were rigged. They’ve been saying – with abundant evidence – that Russia interfered in the elections. And they did it with Trump as a knowing and compliant accomplice. That’s entirely different than rigging. And it’s unambiguously treasonous.

Second, Democrats aren’t saying “what a wonderful job the Trump administration did.” That’s because the Trump administration didn’t do anything at all with regard to the election. Elections are run by the states. Furthermore, those saying that the election was “the most secure election ever” are not Democrats. They are people like Chris Krebs and the experts in Trump’s own Department of Homeland Security, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA):

“The November 3rd election was the most secure in American history. […] There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised.”

Third, Trump’s cognitive facilities are clearly defective. He’s agreeing that this election was the most secure ever, while simultaneously insisting that it was so badly rigged that it reversed the outcome. Both of those things cannot be true. And flipping the election would be a feat of corruption that would require hundreds of thousands of votes to be falsified in at least five states.

Trump wants his Deplorables to believe that he personally presided over the most fair and honest election ever, except for all the rampant cheating. That’s like taking credit for putting out a house fire that burned down the whole block. And that’s not all. He also wants his cult followers to buy the notion that Democrats in multiple states faked enough votes to turn around Trump’s imaginary victory, while also allowing Republicans to pick up seats in the House and preserve their Senate majority. That can only make sense to someone with a severe psychotic malfunction.

For such a short tweet, Trump got an awful lot wrong. And he failed utterly to prove anything but just how deranged he is. It’s a pitiful exhibition by a childish loser who is incapable of behaving with any dignity or grace. And it also likely part of an unethical marketing scam to finance his post-presidency aspirations for a media enterprise that would wreck Fox News.” Which will be fun to watch if he ever actually tries it. But, as with most blowhards, Trump will probably wimp out and just settle for selling his name to telemarketers for reverse mortgages and crappy pillows.

Trump Plans to ‘Wreck Fox News’ For Not Worshiping Him Enough

One of the most persistent patterns of behavior by Donald Trump is his knee-jerk reaction to anyone or anything that fails to show him unflinching adoration at all times. Trump can be relied on to launch a barrage of vicious and vengeful assaults in the wake of what he considers betrayal, even if it’s a trivial and temporary lapse in the observance of reality.

Donald Trump Fox News

Trump spent Thursday morning working hard at what he considers to be his most pressing presidential duties: posting hostile and incoherent tweets aimed at the paranoid parade of his perceived enemies. On this particular morning it was Fox News that was the subject of Trump’s ire (and not for the first time). He retweeted more than a dozen messages by random Twitter bots blasting Fox News and insisting that it was either untruthful, corrupt, or dead, and that they would never watch it again.

Following that Trump tweeted his own opinion that focused on Fox’s tumbling ratings and his narcissistic illusions of grandeur:

It’s telling that Trump believes that Fox News is obligated to promote him in a purely positive fashion at all times because he is, in his own mind, their “Golden Goose,” and the sole reason for their success. Never mind that Fox has been at the top of the cable news food chain since 2002, two years before The Apprentice aired, when he was just a failed proprietor of bankrupt casinos trying to sell the rights to his name for other developers to plaster onto their buildings.

Trump is also blaming his election loss on Fox News, citing the differences between how they covered him in 2016 (when they rapturously covered his every public utterance live and uninterrupted) and 2020 (when they employed a bit more discretion by only covering almost every public utterance). Throughout his presidency and the election campaign, Fox News was faithful to their Dear Leader, lavishing him with praise, while lambasting his critics.

Trump was nevertheless perturbed at Fox because they would occasionally interview a Democrat or allow a Democratic commentator to tell the truth about him. He also whined about Fox’s polling that often – and correctly – found him to be losing to Joe Biden. And now his anger at Fox is being channeled into a new media venture. As reported by Axios, “Trump is considering a digital media channel that would stream online.” And his intentions are not limited to the business aspects of this:

“‘He plans to wreck Fox. No doubt about it,’ said a source with detailed knowledge of Trump’s intentions.”

That’s right. Trump is acting out his revenge on the network that put him in the White House. Now Fox is just another one of the former Trump allies that fell out of favor with him and is therefore subject to his bitter wrath. But don’t mistake this for mere spite for perceived wrongs. This is also Trump’s marketing plan. He needs to diminish Fox News if he ever hopes to prevail over them. So he’s launching this scorched earth campaign to soften up the wingnut TV audience and prepare them for Trump’s debut.

What’s more, Trump’s efforts to contest the results of the election are all likely a part of the same marketing plan. By pushing hard on accusations that the election was stolen from him, and the need to fight back, Trump is keeping his fundraising operation humming. And it will not surprise anyone when most of those funds make their way into his new media startup. Similarly, his rallies, past and future, are not just opportunities to lap up the adoration of his cult followers. They are also useful in building contact lists (email and cell phones) that he can use to launch Trump TV.

In the end, all of these efforts are only likely produce the next Trump bankruptcy. It is incredibly difficult and expensive to launch a new network. And Trump doesn’t have either the work ethic or the money to do it. Furthermore, it is unlikely that he could sustain an audience for 24 hours a day and seven days a week. There is only so much that people can take of him and his trademark belligerence, childish insults, and relentless whining. And as an ex-president – and a loser – he won’t have the draw that the presidency conveys.

However, any project that pits Trump against Fox News is bound to have some entertainment value for America’s liberals and Democrats. It should be fun to see them go after each other in a war that is certain to be harmful to both. So stock up on popcorn and get ready to binge on a bizarre reality show that promises to be even more bizarre than anything Borat could dream up.
