Jamie Raskin Responds to Big Baby Trump’s Pitifully Infantile Harangue Calling Him an Ugly Dope

The notoriously childish temper of Donald Trump has once again raised it’s bobblehead to whine petulantly about some perceived slight that bruised his tender sensitivities. Nothing is more predictable that the rattled reaction by Trump if his fee-fees have been hurt by a Democrat having the audacity to criticize His MAGA-STY.

Donald Trump Pacifier Fox

Whenever Trump is subjected to even the most trivial negative rendering of his severely unstable psychoses, he lashes out with the fearsome ferocity of a terrified gnat caught in a vacated spider web. He is inherently incapable of laughing off a minor affront or tolerating the insolence of someone daring to disagree with him.

SEE THIS: What 1st Amendment? Trump Threatens to Prosecute CNN for Imaginary Crimes Against Dear Leader

Consequently, the stage was set when Democratic Rep. Jaime Raskin had a few unflattering observations about Trump’s “Big Ugly Bill” that he just shoved down the throats of his Republican colleagues in Congress – not to mention the rest of America and the world. Raskin took to the well of the House of Representatives to reveal what he mockingly called the “preamble” to the GOP legislation, saying that…

“We the billionaires and our king, in order to deform and sicken our union, establish injustice, ensure domestic servility, weaken our people’s defenses, undermine the general welfare, and reserve to ourselves and posterity, staggering debt servitude for eternity…

“…due hereby instruct the Republicans in Congress to strip 17 million people of their healthcare, increase copays, premiums and deductibles for everyone else, cut 42 million people off of nutritional assistance, increase the national debt by $4 trillion, trash renewable energy systems, increase our electric bills for the carbon kings, all to weaken and destroy the Constitution of the people of these United States of America.”

The GOP's Medicaid-busting tax scheme is filled with poison pills antithetical to the values of our people. So I wrote a proper preamble for their big, ugly bill.

Rep. Jamie Raskin (@raskin.house.gov) 2025-07-02T16:57:10.540Z

Well, that was enough for Trump to go off halfcocked with a tantrum on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social. He unleashed a load bile that a seven year old would have been embarrassed to say aloud. Trump raged that…

“Rep. Jamie Raskin, a third rate Democrat politician, has no idea what is in our fantastic Tax Cut Bill, nor would he understand it if he did. This DOPE has been consistently losing to me for YEARS, and I love watching his ugly face as he is forced to consistently concede DEFEAT TO TRUMP — And tonight should be another of those nights. Raskin is a bad politician, and a TOTAL LOSER!”

First of all, Rep. Raskin has a far better idea of what’s in the bill than Trump. And not just because he read it, while Trump probably used it as coaster for his Diet Coke. As for understanding it, Raskin graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard Law School, where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review. He was a constitutional professor prior to being elected to Congress. He is currently the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee.

However, something that surely sticks in Trump’s wrinkled craw is that Raskin was the lead impeachment manager for Trump’s second impeachment that addressed the violent insurrection that he incited on January 6, 2021.

There is really no need to delve into Trump’s infantile insults of Raskin as a “dope” or as “ugly” or as a “loser.” Those are just more examples of Trump seeing himself in the people that he despises. It’s called projection. And along with his malignant narcissism, is one of the more obvious psychological maladies that he appears to suffer from.

Following Trump’s online outburst, Raskin offered up his own replies. In one he responded to Trump’s tweet directly referencing Trump’s stunted emotional growth, or lack thereof…

Raskin also addressed the Crybaby-in-Chief during an interview on Lawrence O’Donnell’s MSNBC program, where he demonstrated how an adult behaves when confronted by cranky 79 year old toddler…

Raskin: "I suppose I don't mind being called a loser several times by Trump, given that he's our only president who has lost the popular vote in two different elections and the last time, when he lost by more than 7 million votes to Biden, it upset him so much that he incited an insurrection"

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2025-07-03T02:41:47.529Z

There is a lot to be worried about with Trump having resumed his occupation of the White House. He is obliterating the economy. He is goading other nations into war. He is orchestrating a fascist reshaping of American law and order. And he is clamping down on the free press that is guaranteed in the Constitution’s First Amendment. On the plus side, he is motivating the progressive resistance.

With all of that going down, it may seem frivolous to focus on this sort attack by Trump on a member of Congress. But it is all connected. The same mental dysfunction that drives Trump to bully his political foes, is what produces his dangerously ignorant and self-serving policies. And the only solution is for him to be removed from office as quickly as possible. Or at least neutered. Y’all up for a third Impeachment? 25th Amendment? LFG!

Trump Goes Bonkers Ranting that Democrats Are ‘Evil, Nasty People Who Hate Our Country’

The deteriorating mental state of Donald Trump is becoming impossible to ignore, even for some of his most ardent sycophants. Not that they will muster the courage to challenge him. But there is clearly a widening gap between the explosive dia-rhetoric that Trump is disgorging, and what passes for reality amongst the rest of his party, and more broadly, the rest of America.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump

The unmooring of what remains of Trump’s sanity has been evident in his raving and deranged outbursts regarding the promotion of his wildly unpopular, so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” (BBB), that adds billions to the deficit and removes millions from their health insurance. It’s evident in the delusional math that he applies to his tariffs, that will be paid by American companies and consumers. It’s evident in his hype following the bombing of Iran, that he says “completely obliterated” their nuclear facilities, in contradiction of independent analysis and even his own intelligence staff.

Trump is so far removed from the real world that only his most devoted cult followers can accept his ludicrous lapses of cognition.

SEE THIS: Trump Cult Priestess, Karoline Leavitt, Preaches the Divine Infallibility of Dear Leader

In a late night bout of hysterics on Saturday, Trump unleashed a rambling, incoherent eruption of animus toward his perceived enemies, who always seem to be fellow Americans. On this occasion it was Democrats who oppose his “Big Ugly Bullsh*t” that were on the receiving end of his unhinged wrath. He posted a comment on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, that was typical of his fevered hate-speech, saying that

“Republicans must remember that they are fighting against a very evil, corrupt and, in many ways, incompetent (Policywise!) group of people.”

It’s notable that Trump only speaks this way about Americans. He would never say such things about Vladimir Putin or Xi Jinping. He went on lie that…

“The Democrats would LOVE to see the Biggest Tax Hike in History (68%!), No Border Spending (Open Borders!), and a weak, underfunded Military.”

Of course, none of that remotely resembles anything that Democrats have advocated. It’s all inventions of Trump’s diseased mind. And he wasn’t finished. He added a bizarre complaint that Democrats “have House and Senate Rules that give Great Power to their Leaders – Committee Chairmanships.” But as Democrats are currently in the minority in Congress, they aren’t making the rules and they have no committee chairmanships at all.

Trump then segued to bragging about his fellow MAGA Republicans that he said are “wonderful people and phenomenal Policy, and that should win Elections every single time!” That came as he was simultaneously trashing GOP senators Thom Tillis and Rand Paul for not voting for his BBB. Then Trump posted another comment railing against Democrats “because they’re nasty people who actually hate our Country.”

Trump’s demeaning of Democrats as hating the country is another example of his psychotic projection, wherein he accuses others of having his own emotional maladies. Trump has demonstrated repeatedly that he has a propensity for hatred. He hates the Constitution that he regularly dismisses and defiles. He hates America’s allies, but loves its enemies. But most of all, he hates his fellow Americans. Whether they be Democrats, Republicans, or independents. Why else would push legislation down our throats that majorities of the people don’t want?

This is what the America people think of the so-called "Big Beautiful Bill" that Trump and the GOP are shoving down the nation's throat. Note that even the Fox News poll has it underwater by 21 points.

10 New Republican Precedents for Presidential Power that Trump and Co. May Come to Regret: Axios

The reign of wannabe dictator Donald Trump has produced some of the most repugnant policies ever to be foisted on the American people. They are replete with racist, misogynist, and xenophobic bigotry. They have the stench of corruption and flagrant self-enrichment. They serve to embrace our enemies and alienate our allies. And they are brazen assaults on the Constitution, particularly the promise of due process and protections of the free press.

Donald Trump, Constitution

In five short months, Trump’s second occupation of the White House has proven to be far more destructive of the principles that shaped the nation. Trump has surrounded himself with suck-ups who will never challenge his anti-American proposals. And he has set a determined course to cleanse the government of knowledgeable, non-partisan administrators and legal counsel. That leaves him with a worshipful cult of sycophants who are devoted to Dear Leader…

SEE THIS: Trump Cult Priestess, Karoline Leavitt, Preaches the Divine Infallibility of Dear Leader

Unfortunately, Trump has succeeded in some measure to construct a cabal of loyalists in his administration. And with the help of the radical right-leaning Supreme Court, he has managed to secure a number of policy and process victories that he is giddily celebrating. However, Trump may not have as much to celebrate as he thinks. As reported by Axios, Trump and his minions in Congress are setting some new precedents that could come back to bite him in his asinine and arrogant rear flank.

“Through silence or vocal support, House and Senate Republicans are backing an extraordinary set of new precedents for presidential power they may come to regret if and when Democrats seize those same powers…New precedents are exhilarating when you’re in power — and excruciating when you’re not.”

Here are 10 new precedents, all set with minimal GOP dissent:

  1. Presidents can limit the classified information they share with lawmakers after bombing a foreign country without the approval of Congress.
Trump is already refusing to brief Democrats in Congress on his adventurism in Iran, and who knows what else.
  2. Presidents can usurp Congress’s power to levy tariffs, provided they declare a national emergency.
The constitution gives Congress the authority to levy taxes and tariffs, not the president.
  3. Presidents can unilaterally freeze spending approved by Congress, and dismantle or fire the heads of independent agencies established by law.
Trump has unlawfully impounded funds allocated by law and terminated thousands of agency staff over which he has no authority.
  4. Presidents can take control of a state’s National Guard, even if the governor opposes it, and occupy the state for as long as said president wants.
This is the fascist overreach that Trump has taken in Los Angeles, despite having no legal basis or justification.
  5. Presidents can accept gifts from foreign nations, as large as a $200 million plane, even if it’s unclear whether said president gets to keep the plane at the end of the term.
The plane that Trump is getting from Qatar will cost taxpayers another billion dollars to retrofit to standards that comply with Air Force One. And then it will be gifted to his library.
  6. Presidents can actively profit from their time in office, including creating new currencies structured to allow foreign nationals to invest anonymously, benefiting said president.
Trump is raking in millions (billions?) of dollars from his personal businesses and crypto scams.
  7. Presidents can try to browbeat the Federal Reserve into cutting interest rates, including by floating replacements for the Fed chair before their term is up.
Trump has been lying that there is no inflation and, therefore, Fed Chair Jerome Powell is stupid for not cutting interest rates.
  8. Presidents can direct the Justice Department to prosecute their political opponents and punish critics. These punishments can include stripping Secret Service protections, suing them and threatening imprisonment.
Trump has already pardoned 1,500 insurrectionists, and then fired the attorneys in the Justice Department who prosecuted them. And his Attorney Genuflect, Pam Bondi has indicted several Democrats on trumped up charges.
  9. Presidents can punish media companies, law firms and universities that don’t share their viewpoints or values.
Trump is suing several ABC News, CBS News, the New York Times, and others, for having the audacity to report the truth about him. And he is threatening and defunding universities who refuse to kowtow to his fascist demands.
  10. Presidents can aggressively pardon supporters, including those who made large political donations as part of their bid for freedom. The strength of the case in said pardons is irrelevant.
Not only is the strength of the case irrelevant, but so is the crime. Trump has pardoned deep-pocketed supporters who were convicted of drug trafficking, sex crimes, and more.

This is not a comprehensive list. The dangerous precedents being set by Trump extend to many other matters, including immigration, foreign aid, civil liberties, voting rights, state sovereignty, and so much more.

The one thing that Trump and the MAGA GOP have going for them is that Democrats are far more personally moral and legally ethical. While these precedents may apply to them as well when they are in power, they are less likely to avail themselves of them, or to abuse them the way that Trump and Republicans do. And at this stage in Trump’s dissolution of American democracy, it’s hard to say whether that’s a good thing or bad thing.

Trump’s Favorite Fox News Flunky Affirms that the ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ Has Steep Medicaid Cuts

On May 22, 2025, the House of Representatives passed – by a single vote – what Trump preposterously named the “Big Beautiful Bill:” a budget hodge-podge of ultra-rightist economic reforms that advance the conservative agenda of enriching the already wealthy, at the expense of working class Americans, while exploding the national debt.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Fox News, Maria Bartiromo, Donald Trump

Ever since then Republicans have been desperately trying to convince, aka deceive, the American people that this upper-crusty sham would benefit them, despite the repudiation by virtually every independent analysis. That includes the Congressional Budget Office – which is headed by a republican – and the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, who confirmed that it would throw millions of people off of their Medicaid plans. Which didn’t stop Trump from lying about it…

SEE THIS: Trump Celebrates the House Passing His ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ in the Most Trumpian Way – By Lying

After the full-court press by Trump and Company to plant the lie that the bill wouldn’t impact Medicaid or its users, Trump’s Ministry of Propaganda has stumbled off the path of MAGA righteousness by actually admitting that it does impact them, in a big way. And this diversion was done by none other than the Fox News Senior Trump-fluffer, Maria Bartiromo, who while interviewing a GOP congressman said that…

“Let me move on to the ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ and the the Senate Finance Committee unveiling the text of President Trump’s bill yesterday. It includes major tax reforms and even steeper Medicaid cuts than the House called for.”

UH-OH! Senior Fox News Trump-Fluffer, Maria Bartiromo, says that the Senate version of the so-called "Big Beautiful Bill" contains "even steeper Medicaid cuts."But Trump and the GOP have been denying that there are ANY Medicaid cuts. Will he send her to El Salvador now?

News Corpse (@newscorpse.bsky.social) 2025-06-17T17:00:17.915Z

UH-OH! Bartiromo is undoing weeks of determined bullshittery by the GOP to beguile the gullible into believing that the bill would be their economic salvation. They have been denying that there are any Medicaid cuts at all in the bill, much less cuts that exceed those that they said didn’t exist in the first place. This could could portend dark days for Bartiromo. Perhaps even a seat on the Deportation Express to El Salvador.

Furthermore, this could not have come at a worse time for the Trump regime. The latest polls show that the “Big Beautiful Bullsh*t” is broadly opposed by the vast majority of the American people. As CNN reports, polls by the Kaiser Family foundation and Quinnipiac University reveal that the bill is underwater by 29 and 26 points respectively…

“The amount of disapproval for this bill — holy cow, my goodness gracious! We’re talking about 29 points underwater on the net favorable rating…We’re talking about a negative 41 net favorability rating among independents in the center of the electorate. You rarely ever see proposed pieces of legislation as unpopular as this.”

Can Trump and the GOP still call this the "Big Beautiful Bill" when the vast majority of the American people hate it? They know that it hurts them, helps only the wealthy, and adds trillions more debt. And this is after weeks of the Trump regime spewing propaganda to prop it up.

News Corpse (@newscorpse.bsky.social) 2025-06-17T16:53:58.651Z

The Senate is still putting together their version of the bill. It is already set to make significant changes from the House version. Which means that if something passes in the Senate, which remains in doubt, it will still have to be passed again in the House, where it only squeaked through the first time.

Given that this bill is now better known, and more disliked, by a broader cross-section of the population, it’s passage may an uphill climb for Republicans. Particularly after Trump’s humiliating birthday parade which will only sink his already abysmal approval ratings even farther down the rabid hole.

UH-OH: ABC, NBC, and CBS News are ‘Unlikely to Preempt Programming’ for Trump’s Birthday Parade

This Saturday, June 14, Donald Trump has planned a vain tribute of himself on his 79th birthday that he expects every American to celebrate. It’s an event that he has long coveted, featuring a military parade to salute his self-proclaimed magnificence. While he pretends that the affair is to note the 250th anniversary of the founding of the U.S. Army, he can’t stop reminding people that it is also his birthday.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Trump in Bed, Eating, Sad

The parade is set to take place in Washington, D.C. in the early evening, with tanks and jets and more than 6,000 soldiers marching in the streets of the Capitol. It is estimated to cost about $45 million to pay this homage to Dear Leader in the style of history’s most notorious tyrants (e.g. Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, Kim Jong Un), who Trump makes no secret of embracing with admiration and envy. But what else would you expect from someone so patently disturbed?

SEE THIS: WHO’S DERANGED? Trump on Biden Clones, Transgender Mice, Autopens, and His Own Mental Anguish

Trump may be in for a bit of disappointment on Saturday when his party isn’t given the attention that he believes it deserves. It appears that the media isn’t planning on catering to his ego for a change. According to Variety

Mainstream TV-news outlets seem divided over how to cover an extravagant display of military might along the streets of Washington, D.C. from the Trump administration. […]

“ABC News, NBC News and CBS News are unlikely to pre-empt regular TV programming for coverage of the event, according to people familiar with their plans.”

All three national broadcast networks plan to direct their live coverage of the parade to their streaming platforms. That will significantly depress viewership for Trump’s shameless shindig. But not to worry, Trump will still be able to tune in to it at the White House as he scarfs down his Big Mac and sips his Diet Coke. Because it will be airing on Fox News – of course. In fact, as reported by Variety…

“Fox Corp.’s Fox News Channel will pre-empt its Saturday schedule with four hours of special coverage.

[However…]

“Other cable-news networks do not seem poised to offer robust parade coverage. MSNBC will have anchor Ali Velshi on hand, according to a person familiar with the matter, and “will cover news as it happens.” Warner Bros. Discovery’s CNN was not able to offer immediate information about coverage plans tied to the event.”

Adding to Trump’s likely dismay, many of trump’s fellow Republicans plan to skip the festivities as well. Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul went so far as to criticize them saying that he has “never been a big fan of goose-stepping soldiers in big tanks and missiles rolling down the street.” And he’s not the only one. Politico reports that only seven of the 50 members of Congress they asked intend to attend the affair. Some of the most senior members of Congress are staying away. Including…

  • Senate Armed Services Chair Roger Wicker
  • House Armed Services Committee Chair Mike Rogers
  • Senate Majority Leader John Thune
  • Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso
  • House Majority Leader Steve Scalise
  • Sen. Tommy Tuberville
  • Sen. Markwayne Mullin
  • Sen. Lindsey Graham
  • Sen. Todd Young
  • Sen. Rick Scott
  • House Appropriations Chair Tom Cole
  • House Freedom Caucus Chair Andy Harris
  • House DOGE Subcommittee member Rep. Tim Burchett

What’s more, there are hundreds of demonstrations planned for the same day as Trump’s bash. The “No Kings” events will likely draw far more people than Trump’s parade. The question is whether the media will devote the appropriate measure of coverage to a movement that exceeds what remains of the MAGA cult. For more information, and links to how you can participate, see this: NO KINGS

Trump has been on the receiving end of some decidedly bad news lately. For instance, his bitter break up with billionaire pal Elon Musk; his failure to fulfill his promise to bring peace to Ukraine or Gaza; his assault on academic freedom and free speech at universities such as Harvard; his recessionary tariffs; and his so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” that may be big, but is grotesquely ugly and detrimental to most Americans.

Consequently, Trump is desperately trying to change the subject. His war on Los Angeles and its peaceful protesters is one of his efforts to deflect attention from his failures. This parade is another. And he has managed to conflate the two by threatening to use “very heavy force” against anyone who dares to protest his party. Because the only thing that Trump hates more than being ignored, is the Constitution.

First Trump deploys the military against peaceful protesters in Los Angeles. Now he's threatening anyone who protests his vanity birthday parade in Washington, D.C. He couldn't care less about the Constitution.

Trump’s Defense Secretary, Pete Hegseth, Tries and Fails to Justify Trump’s War on Los Angeles

From the day that Donald Trump first nominated Pete Hegseth to serve as his Secretary of Defense, it was widely viewed as a dangerously inappropriate proposal to elevate a completely unqualified Fox News weekend host with a history of abusing both alcohol and women.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Pete Hegseth with Drunk Emoji

Hegseth’s experience for the job that Trump sought to give him was his junior officer ranking in the Army twenty years ago, and his management of two military related non-profits that both fired him for his incompetence and malfeasance. But he met Trump’s prerequisites, which were that he would do or say anything that Trump told him without regard to the truth or the welfare of the nation, and that he looked good on TV.

SEE THIS: Pete Hegseth Spends Thousands for a Pentagon Makeup Studio to Fortify America’s Military Might

Following Trump’s declaration of war against the City of Los Angeles, Hegseth appeared before the Defense Subcommittee of the House Appropriations Committee. His testimony was about as rife with ignorance and dereliction as one would expect from such an unfit official. He came utterly unprepared for the inquiry that he knew he would face. That includes not having any data regarding the Pentagon’s budget proposal that the Appropriations Committee was expecting.

To make matters worse, Hegseth was also stumped by questions he should have anticipated. Particularly those about Trump’s unlawful deployment of National Guard troops and Marines in response to an overwhelmingly peaceful protest against the hostile excesses of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE) in Los Angeles. And in an exchange with Rep. Pete Aguilar, Hegseth provided a chilling demonstration of just how clueless he is about his duties…

Rep. Aguilar: The legal basis that the president used cites three examples in circumstances for the Guard. Invasion by a foreign nation; a rebellion or dangerous rebellion against the authority of the government of the United States; or the president is unable with regular forces to execute the laws of the United States. Which authority is triggered here to justify the use?
Hegseth: I don’t know. You just read it yourself, and people can listen themselves. But it sounds like all three to me.

"Sounds like all three to me" — Pete Hegseth suggests the United States is under invasion by a foreign nation, prompting the need for troops in Los Angeles

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2025-06-10T15:34:58.019Z

REALLY? Let’s examine these one at a time, shall we?

Invasion By a Foreign Nation:
There is no evidence whatsoever that any foreign nation had invaded the United States. Hegseth mentioned the presence of some Mexican flags, but that does not infer that the government of Mexico had anything to do with the protests, and they certainly did not. There were no Mexican troops or military assets deployed to take over the U.S. The notion is downright preposterous.

A Rebellion Against the Authority of the Government of the United States:
None of the protesters came anywhere near attempting to usurp the authority of the U.S. government. They were merely exercising their rights as stated in the First Amendment to the Constitution to “petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” Which can only be seen as a rebellion by the tyrannical tendencies of the Trump administration, where Trump regards anything critical of him as treason.

The President is Unable With Regular Forces to Execute the Laws of the United States.
The leadership provided by the Mayor of the City of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, and the Governor of California, Gavin Newsom, were more than sufficient to deal with the sometimes rowdy behavior of a few protesters. If Trump was invoking this excuse for his military incursion, than he was, in effect, conceding that he was the one who was unable to execute the laws that he swore to uphold. Which shouldn’t surprise anyone, considering that he literally admitted that he doesn’t believe he has any obligation to do so.

MORE HERE: WTHF? When Asked ‘Don’t You Need to Uphold the Constitution,’ Trump Replies ‘I Don’t Know.’

Later in his testimony, Hegseth was asked about the costs associated with the deployment of troops to clamp down on the people’s right to protest. He tried to dodge the question, but was pressed on it until he finally allowed an aide to provide the answer

“After persistent questioning about the cost of sending National Guard members and Marines to Los Angeles in response to protests over immigration raids, Hegseth turned to his acting comptroller, Bryn Woollacott MacDonnell, who said it would cost $134 million.”

With that amount of money, we could house and feed more than 4,000 homeless veterans for a year. We could provide more than 9,000 veterans with healthcare for a year. Or we could oppress and intimidate a few hundred advocates for migrants’ civil rights for a month. Spending money on this deployment is an even worse allocation of funds than Trump’s ludicrous and vain $45 million birthday parade that he’s throwing for himself in Washington, D.C. on Saturday. For which he is also threatening anyone who dares to protest it.

Hegseth is not the only member of Trump’s Quack Cabinet to malign the protesters in Los Angeles. His Homeland Security Secretary, Kristi Noem, also took a swipe at them and wound up hitting the entire population of the city, saying that L.A. is not a city of Immigrants, it’s a city of criminals.” Really? All 4,000,000 of them?

However, the views of Noem and Hegseth are not shared by the American people. A new poll has found that “47% of U.S. adults disapprove of deploying the Marines to LA, with 34% approval…45% disapprove the National Guard deployment, while 38% said they approve.”

Not that Trump or his cronies care about what the American people think. But maybe this will get some Republicans in Congress to grow a spine and reject Trump’s totalitarianism. Keep hope alive.

Trump’s Favorite Fox News Flunkies FREAK OUT Over the ‘Big Bogus Bill’ Breaking Up Trump and Musk

In the five months since Donald Trump began his second occupation of the White House, almost nothing of any significance has been accomplished through the conventional, lawful paths of government. The Republican led Congress has been virtually AWOL, leaving most of the governing to their Dear Leader’s tyrannical penchant for executive ordering whatever cruel and screwball notion seeps into his mush filled head.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Fox News, Donald Trump Baby

Among the critical issues that face any presidential administration is the production of a budget to keep the wheels of the nation turning. That legislation sets the fiscal parameters for everything from taxes, to defense, to healthcare, to criminal justice, to Social Security, to foreign relations, and so much more. And ironically, those all just happen to be subjects that challenge Trump’s ability to comprehend reality.

SEE THIS: ‘What About Trump?’ CNN Finally Asks About Trump’s Mental Acuity. Meanwhile, on Fox News…

The budget bill that is currently before Congress is facing an uphill battle for passage. Last week it passed in the House of Representatives by a single vote. Now the Republicans in the Senate are divided over whether the bill’s tax cuts for the rich are steep enough, and whether its cuts to popular programs that benefit America’s working class, such as Medicaid and Food Stamps, are cruel enough.

That divide has spilled over into the chummy relationship between Trump and his billionaire benefactor, Elon Musk. Despite Musk’s marauding DOGE campaign to gut many of the agencies that do the most important work on behalf of the American people, he has now come out against Trump’s so-called “Big Beautiful Bill,” calling it a “disgusting abomination,” due to its multi-trillion dollar increase of the national debt.

Hmmm… Musk can't stand it "anymore"???So he was able to stand it for a while when he was still working in Trump's White House? What changed?? His employment?? His drugs?? His greed?? All of the above?

News Corpse (@newscorpse.bsky.social) 2025-06-03T19:06:00.082Z

The reality TV style melodrama spinning around this political spat is also being played out at Trump’s Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News. On Wednesday morning Trump’s favorite Fox News show, Fox and Friends, dived into the swamp (video below). Beginning with a lament from co-host Brian Kilmeade…

Kilmeade: I think the Elon Musk thing really caught the president by surprise. And I hear he’s furious. But I think he’s so smart to keep his powder dry. Because it just plays into what critics would have to say. The right can’t get out of their own way. Instead, you have a goal: Pass it. Elon Musk is not in the Senate or the House. Don’t worry about it.

If Kilmeade is right about Trump being caught by surprise and being furious, then Trump’s press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, lied when she told reporters that Trump already knew Musk’s opinions about the bill before he went public with them. As for Trump “keeping his powder dry,” another phrase that might describe that is “TACO: Trump Always Chickens Out,” He’s afraid to go against Musk. He didn’t have any trouble lambasting Sen. Rand Paul and Rep. Thomas Massie when when they criticized the bill. Why not Musk? And that’s when Kilmeade’s colleague, Lawrence Jones, spoke up…

Jones: Can I offer a different perspective? As someone who is supportive of the president’s agenda, I am upset with Congress right now. I don’t blame the president for the “Big Beautiful Bill.” I blame Congress because they go to their constituents every single election. They say they’re gonna cut spending. Cut, cut, cut, cut, cut. And it doesn’t seem like there is a willingness to do that.

First of all, how is Jones’ perspective any different than his co-host’s? More to the point, his reluctance to blame Trump is more evidence that he is a fully indoctrinated Trump cult member. The bill is exactly what Trump lobbied for. Congress wanted to divide it up into separate bills, but Trump demanded that it be combined into one. And it was Trump who told Congress to give the bill the childish name, “One Big Beautiful Bill.” Which they did. What’s more, the bill is full of cuts. But they are mostly cuts to critical programs that the American people need and support, or cuts to taxes on the wealthy. And this is where co-host Ainsley Earhardt chose to join in…

Earhardt: I’m with you on being very respectful on some of the same interviews. Just saying, look, we have differences. I don’t agree with him on everything. But this latest comment about calling the “Big Beautiful Bill” a disgusting abomination, I was shocked to hear him say that. I can understand why the president would not be happy about that. Because this is someone that worked on his team.

Earhardt is now demonstrating the “shock” that so many MAGA disciples have had when Trump and his cronies inevitably part ways. Because none of them have any ingrained morals or principles that would bind them together. It is always transactional concerns that benefit one or the other that eventually crack under the pressure of their selfishly contrary goals.

One thing is clear from all of this. The Fox friends who have so adored Musk for the past few months are squarely on the side of their Mango Messiah. They can’t understand how Musk could have betrayed them. And they remain supportive of the “Big Bogus Bill” despite the low approval ratings of both the bill and Trump. But then, that’s how cults work. How could it be otherwise?

Trump Celebrates the House Passing His ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ in the Most Trumpian Way – By Lying

In a bizarre, overnight spectacle, the Republicans in the House of Representatives held a debate and vote on a budget bill that Donald Trump ordered to them call the “Big Beautiful Bill.” (BBB) They conducted these proceedings under the cover of darkness, presumably because they are too ashamed of the abomination that they are trying to shove down the throat of the nation to do it in the light of day.

Donald Trump, Congress, Mike Johnson

The BBB barely passed on a party line vote of 215-214. If it weren’t for two recently deceased Democratic representatives, the bill might have failed. Trump’s loyal MAGA cult disciples in the House caved in to voting for the bill, even though several had previously insisted that they could not support a deficit exploding bill that violated their conservative “principles.” In the end, the cult and it’s Dear Leader, came first.

SEE THIS: Trump Cult Priestess, Karoline Leavitt, Preaches to ‘Trust in Trump’ to Bring Economic Salvation

For his part, Trump celebrated the passage of the BBB in a rambling rant posted on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social. Unable to contain his glee, Trump wrote that…

“‘THE ONE, BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL’ has PASSED the House of Representatives! This is arguably the most significant piece of Legislation that will ever be signed in the History of our Country!”

True to form, Trump’s comment was a stream of superheated hyperbole. In his mind there is nothing that he does that doesn’t surpass everything else of its kind in the history of human endeavors. However, he may be right this time, although not in the way he thinks. Because the BBB could be “the most significant piece of Legislation,” at least in modern times.

The bill is one Big Abhorrent Act of Betrayal to the American people. As Trump wrote in his comment, “the Bill includes MASSIVE Tax CUTS.” What he neglects to mention is that they are all for his wealthy pals and corporations. Meanwhile, his bill cuts benefits and services to the needy and middle class, including Medicaid and Medicare.

After “weaving” interminably, Trump closed his harangue with an impotent swing at his Democratic opponents…

“The Democrats have lost control of themselves, and are aimlessly wandering around, showing no confidence, grit, or determination. They have forgotten their landslide loss in the Presidential Election”

Let’s set aside Trump’s delusional and relentlessly repeated nonsense that his historically narrow victory was a landslide. His even more preposterous claim that Democrats are “aimlessly wandering around” and lacking in “confidence, grit, or determination,” is belied by the vigorous opposition to the bill by Democratic representatives throughout the night, and by the response to the BBB’s passage by Democratic Majority Leader Hakeem Jeffries who said that…

“We will stand up today, stand up tomorrow, stand up this week, stand up next week, stand up this month, stand up next month, stand up this year, stand up next year, stand up at all times until we end this national nightmare and restore the American dream for every single person.”

Jeffries: We will stand up today, stand up tomorrow, stand up this week, stand up next week, stand up this month, stand up next month, stand up this year, stand up next year, stand up at all times until we end this national nightmare and restore the American dream for every single person

Acyn (@acyn.bsky.social) 2025-05-22T10:15:34.880Z

Trump’s giddiness over the BBB’s passage was shared by his Propaganda Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, who offered a ludicrous description of the bill as having “common sense and massively popular policies,” and regurgitated Trump’s flagrant lie that…

“The one big beautiful bill also helps get our fiscal house in order by carrying out the largest deficit reduction in nearly 30 years, with $1.6 trillion in mandatory savings.”

The only way that Leavitt could arrive at that number is by neglecting to include all of the tax cuts for the rich and other measures that wiped out revenue, such as firing IRS agents who collect billions of dollars from wealthy tax cheats. She also left out the fact that the “mandatory savings” included slashing Medicare benefits. Leavitt was fact-checked by PolitiFact on this. They rated her assessment “False,” saying that “the bill would increase deficits by $3 trillion to $4 trillion over the next decade.”

There was so much more wrong with this bill that it’s impossible to summarize. But comedian Jimmy Kimmel did a pretty good job of it Wednesday night. He began by saying that “This “Big Beautiful Bill” literally takes from the poor and gives to the rich, brazenly. Republicans like the robbin’ part, just not the hood.” And it just got better from there…

Trump’s Propaganda Secretary Flagrantly Lies that His ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ Won’t Add to the Deficit

This weekend the House Republicans sought to get Donald Trump’s so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” (BBB) passed in the Budget Committee. They failed on their first attempt. Then tried again in a post-midnight session with marginal success as four Republican opponents to the bill voted “present” in order to allow it to advance to the Rules Committee.

Donald Trump and Karoline Leavitt

These are the kinds of childish stunts that the GOP trots out in order to stumble forward in their efforts to implement the ultra-rightist MAGA agenda and to placate Dear Leader Trump. It isn’t easy to force unpopular policies by an unpopular president down the throats of the American people. Particularly when you have a narrow legislative majority that is divided between hardcore conservatives and frightened moderates. Not to mention a president who doesn’t have the slightest idea what he’s doing.

SEE THIS: What Trump Admits He Doesn’t Know: 13 Examples of His Failing Mental Acuity – or Blatant Lying

On Monday morning Trump’s Propaganda Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, responded to a question about the BBB’s estimated costs and how it would contribute to the national deficit. To no one’s surprise, Leavitt outright lied through her teeth…

Question: Is the president okay with this bill adding to the deficit?
Leavitt: This bill does not add to the deficit. In fact. according to the Council of Economic Advisers, this bill will save $1.6 trillion. And the president absolutely understands and hears the concerns of fiscal conservatives and of Americans who want to get our fiscal house in order. That’s what the intention of this bill is.

“There’s $1.6 trillion worth of savings in this bill. That’s the largest savings for any legislation that has ever passed Capitol Hill in our nation’s history. The next bill that even comes close was $800 billion. That’s less than half of the savings that we see in the One Big Beautiful Bill. And so, the goal of this bill is to produce economic growth, to cut taxes and to get our fiscal house in order. And this is the right step in the right direction towards doing that.

REPORTER: Is the president okay with this bill adding to the deficit?LEAVITT: This bill does not add to the deficit

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2025-05-19T13:29:52.789Z

There isn’t a single word of truth in Leavitt’s reply. Every credible analysis of the bill has produced a conclusion that it will severely increase the deficit. For instance, according to the Bipartisan Policy Center, “the net cost of the committee’s provisions would rise to $5.3 trillion over 10 years. The bill also increases the statutory debt limit by $4 trillion.” Why would Republicans even consider raising the debt limit by $4 trillion if they were actually anticipating a decline in the deficit? Their actions reveal their true intent.

Furthermore, Leavitt’s reference to the Council of Economic Advisers is hardly an independent affirmation the bill’s impact. The Council is, of course, a White House office staffed by Trump sycophants. Asking them to analyze his BBB would be like asking John Barron to analyze it (ICYMI, John Barron was a pseudonym that Trump used when pretending to be his own PR rep).

Anyone who believes that Trump is serious about reducing the deficit is terminally naïve. After all, he increased it by about $7 trillion in his first occupation of the White House. And this time he is already demonstrating his irresponsible, profligate spending habits by accepting a 747 from Qatar that will cost the U.S. a billion dollars to cleanse of possible surveillance devices and to retrofit for use as Air Force One. He is also planning a $92 million birthday parade to honor himself. And his cuts to the IRS will result in the loss of $850 billion in uncollected taxes from wealthy cheaters.

MORE HERE: Trump Pledges to Forgo 100’s of Billions in Revenue By Letting Wealthy Tax Cheaters Off the Hook

Leavitt never actually says where she got the $1.6 trillion figure that she says this bill will save. She likely pulled it out of her asinine assumptions that only count cost reductions in the bill, but not any of the cost increases or revenue reductions. Among those savings are an $800 billion cut to Medicaid that accounts for half of Leavitt’s alleged savings. And since there are numerous benefits for the wealthy in the form of tax cuts and revocation of regulations that protect people and save lives, she is missing the bulk of the bill’s economic impact.

This bill still has to get through the House Rules Committee, the floor vote, and then the Senate. And considering that there are some Republicans who oppose the bill because it isn’t cruel enough, and others who are afraid that supporting cuts to Medicaid will cost them their seats in swing districts, its final passage is far from certain. Which is why Leavitt is lying so hard to deceive the public about it’s deficit exploding effects.

In the meantime, the American people can have a profound effect on the outcome if they call their representatives in droves and let them know that they are fervently opposed to the Big Abhorrent Bill. That would be an encouraging end to this disastrous legislation, and a satisfying smackdown of Trump and MAGA. LFG!

Trump is FREAKING OUT About His Coming Recession and Is Begging Weaselly Republicans for Votes

Last week the economy got bad news from multiple fronts. The monthly jobs report showed that the nation added fewer jobs than economists expected in February, the first full month under Trump. Also, the stock market suffered its worst decline in six months, partly due to Trump’s incompetent machinations with tariffs.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump

Many of the signals from a variety of economic indicators are pointing to the likelihood of a recession triggered by Trump’s gross mismanagement of the booming economy that he inherited from President Biden. But despite the abundant evidence that Trump has horrendously botched his responsibilities as the country’s financial steward, his fluffers at Fox News have been predictably covering for his incompetence.

SEE THIS: Fox News Trump-Fluffer Insists that the Coming Trump Recession Has Nothing To Do With Trump

Those efforts by Fox News notwithstanding, Trump is feeling the heat from a nation that is growing more disturbed by the hour by Trump’s utter failure to fulfill his campaign promise to fix everything on day one of his reoccupation of the White House. His policies have only succeeded in making things worse. And his resulting flip-flops reveal how lost he is and incapable of coming up with a solution.

Consequently, Trump is resorting to what he knows best: Whining on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, and seeking to coerce his MAGA minions in Congress to supplicate themselves to his desires. He posted a message that is little more than begging for votes to pass an interim Continuing Resolution, because Republicans can’t manage to put a passable budget bill on the floor.

“The House and Senate have put together, under the circumstances, a very good funding Bill (‘CR’)! All Republicans should vote (Please!) YES next week. Great things are coming for America, and I am asking you all to give us a few months to get us through to September so we can continue to put the Country’s ‘financial house’ in order. Democrats will do anything they can to shut down our Government, and we can’t let that happen. We have to remain UNITED — NO DISSENT — Fight for another day when the timing is right. VERY IMPORTANT. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Note that Trump is now reversing course on his prior opposition to CRs. He knows that a new budget won’t get enough votes, even from his fellow Republicans. And he has lowered himself to begging for votes (“Please!”) that his party is reluctant to give him. They know that in order to achieve the goals that Trump and GOP leaders have articulated, they would have to make huge cuts to popular programs like Medicare and Social Security. And at least some of them don’t appear to be willing to do that.

So now Trump is asking for more than one day to deliver his Trumptopia. He’s asking for at least six months. However, even that may not be sufficient if forecasts of recession come to pass. And with the dismantling by DOGE of the governmental agencies that provide so many of the services that keep the economy humming, it’s difficult to see any relief from the purposeful sabotage over which Trump is presiding.

Making matters even more difficult for the Trump regime, his Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News, is starting TO waver. Greg Sargent at the New Republic published an article titled Fox News Suddenly Starts Panicking About Trump’s Economy: ‘Weakening!’ It begins…

“Fox News figures are willing to propagandize on President Trump’s behalf on pretty much every horror that he throws our way. Do Fox personalities back Trump when he sells out our allies in tandem with murderous tyrant Vladimir Putin? Yes, indeed. Do they support Trump when he tries to purge federal workers by the thousands to corruptly replace them with loyalists? Enthusiastically. Do they stick with Trump when he declares himself above the law, explicitly using the language of world-historical dictators to do so? Without reservations.

“But it turns out there are limits. One topic Fox personalities are not quite as willing to run interference for Trump on is the economy. And with signs mounting that Trump’s economy is hitting the skids, they are beginning to sound the alarm.”

Sargent provides some examples of the slippery slope emerging at Fox. They include…

“Maria Bartiromo practically shouted that ‘the jobs picture is weakening!'” [and]

“‘I think the boom times are over,’ Fox anchor Charles Payne declared.” [and]

“‘We are sliding towards a recession,’ Newt Gingrich fretted on Fox News.”

Sargent closed saying that…

“Trump’s overall political project is heavily dependent on an enormous network of propagandists and other pliant institutional players to sustain itself [and] to keep alive the fiction that it’s producing dramatic results.” […]

“If the public continues to sour on his economic performance, the deep cuts to government will look less about efficiency and instead appear maliciously, dangerously incompetent [and] they’ll sound like what they truly are — the rantings of a genuine wannabe dictator.”

Fox News may be unalterably worshipful of Trump, but they are also proponents of right-wing economic policies and the corporate interests that push them. So if Trump continues to lose Fox News due to his fumbling on the economy, he will have an even harder time corralling his GOP flock. And if that happens, the whole MAGA sandcastle will crumble. And it couldn’t come a moment too soon.
