Trump Unloads Dozens of Deranged Comments in a Morning Rage that Confirms His Mental Infirmity

The perpetual state of rage that envelopes Donald Trump is documented in the stream of incoherence that he dispenses daily on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social. It is an uninterrupted temper tantrum that manifests in an outpouring of insults, lies, and shameless self-exaltation.

Donald Trump Angry

These days Trump is placing extra emphasis on his rants in order to deflect from news about his unsavory relationship with child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. And on Wednesday morning he suffered a particularly acute episode of explosive diarhetoric as he pounded out 37 putrid posts in the early hours of his day, rather than engage in any of the work that one might expect of a president. That’s a typical schedule for Trump, who is generally more focused on what’s pissing him off, instead of what’s pertinent to the needs of the American people. He always puts himself and his massive yet fragile ego first.

SEE THIS: The King of Conspiracy Theories Whines that Democrats Don’t Talk Enough About How Awesome He Is

The onslaught of invective from Trump on this occasion began with a tired rehash of his hatred for Stephen Colbert. Trump complained that…

“Everybody is saying that I was solely responsible for the firing of Stephen Colbert from CBS, Late Night. That is not true! The reason he was fired was a pure lack of TALENT. […] Next up will be an even less talented Jimmy Kimmel, and then, a weak, and very insecure, Jimmy Fallon.”

Actually, it was Trump and his cronies who were giving him credit for the cancelation of Colbert’s show. And Trump is the last person who should be assessing the talent of others. For the record, Colbert’s show is number one in its time period. The cancelation, which isn’t effective until May of 2026, is due only to the cowardly compliance of the network’s corporate masters.

Next up was Trump’s visceral animosity toward a strong woman on Fox News who dared to criticize the blubbering snowflake Trump. He whined that…

“I can’t stand Jessica Tarlov of THE FIVE. A real loser!!! DJT”

That’s it. Trump didn’t bother to give any reason for this outburst. It might have had something to do with Tarlov having spoken out Tuesday on matters related to the inflationary Trump Tax (tariffs), or to Trump’s historically abysmal approval polling, or to her advocacy for assault rifle regulations in the wake of a mass shooting in Manhattan.

Trump simply can’t tolerate any criticism. But it’s monumentally worse if it comes from a woman. Trump has gone after Tarlov before, calling her a “failed TV personality” who Fox News should not allow on the air. Even on a program (“The five”) where she is outnumbered four-to-one. For the record, Tarlov has a doctorate in political science and government from the London School of Economics. So it’s no wonder that Trump is afraid of her.

The majority of Trump’s posts expressed his tyrannical demand that Republicans in the Senate rush to confirm his judicial nominees. He singled out Sen. Chuck Grassley for failing to overcome Democratic opposition via use of the “blue slip” that allows members of both parties to invoke a virtual veto of a nominee. But Trump resorted to his standard viciousness, saying “Democrats like Schumer, Warner, Kaine, Booker, Schiff, and others, SLEAZEBAGS ALL.” He called the process “unconstitutional” and a “hoax” (of course), and lied that it would prevent him from ever getting a nominee confirmed…

“…in California, New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Virginia, and other places, where there is, coincidentally, the highest level of crime and corruption.”

For the record, the highest levels of crime and corruption are almost entirely in red states.

Among Trump’s postings were several that were just rabidly partisan memes. They contained messages that reflected the hatred that he has for fellow Americans. But worse, he was exhibiting his most fascistic aspirations by calling for the persecution of his political foes. For instance…

This morning Trump posted these comments calling for the arrest and incarceration (and worse) of Democrats. This is more evidence of his authoritarian aspirations and aversion to hatred for democracy. #TrumpIsAFascist

All of this is more evidence of the sociopathic sickness that courses through Trump’s veins. He is a bitter, hostile, vengeful, malignant narcissist, who should never be entrusted with power. And the sooner he is removed from office the better off the nation – and the world – will be.

Sen. Grassley Stands Up for Trump’s Right to Conspire to Stage a Coup with DOJ Staff

The evidence that Donald Trump was – and still is – engaged in a treasonous plot to overturn the 2020 presidential election continues to pour in. Recent reports reveal his attempts to pressure the acting Attorney General, Jeffrey Rosen, to “just say that the election was corrupt + leave the rest to me and the R. Congressmen.” Trump has not disputed these accounts.

Donald Trump, Constitution

The newly impaneled House Select Committee investigating the January 6th insurrection just interviewed Rosen and, while the details have not been made public, there is general information that has been disclosed, and which are cause for serious concern. However, that concern is apparently not shared by Sen. Chuck Grassley, the ranking Republican member of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Instead, what Grassley was concerned with was that…

“This country has had to deal with Democrats’ obsession with destroying Trump for much too long. In the process I fear my colleagues on the other side of the aisle have done, and will do, lasting damage to our political system.”

If the Democrats are “obsessed” with anything, it’s the preservation of American democracy. And if anyone is doing “lasting damage to the political process,” it’s Donald Trump, who has become, in the words of Carl Bernstein, an American war criminal.” But that isn’t exactly how Grassley sees it. He went on to say that…

“The president has every right to discuss ideas and strategies with his closest advisors. The president, whether that president is Democrat or Republican, should feel unrestrained to bring ideas to his closest staff for robust discussion. Eventually the facts will come out and Trump will have to address them. Good or bad, depending on the facts at hand.

“However, the essential question that should be asked: What was the final decision? And that is my major concern about the recent public comments coming out of these interviews I’ve discussed relating to this new Trump investigation. Unlike my Democratic colleagues, I won’t discuss the evidence publicly at this point in time. But let me remind the American public with a couple already public points. Did Trump fire acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen? No, he did not fire him.”

https://twitter.com/espiers/status/1424836363841675270

To be clear, Grassley is making the case that the president has the right to conspire against the United States of America, and to that end, he must be free to discuss “ideas and strategies” for staging a coup to seize power. Really? Perhaps the ranking Republican member of the Judiciary Committee should peruse the U.S. Constitution. Because what he’s suggesting is a flagrant breach of the supreme law of the land.

What’s more, the “essential question” is certainly not “What was the final decision?” No more than that would be the essential question in a case of conspiracy to rob a bank. The conspiracy is unlawful in and of itself. And Trump’s decision not to fire Rosen only came about when he was confronted by the threat of mass resignations by Justice Department officials. Trump didn’t have pangs of conscience that led him to do the right thing. He had a stabbing fear that his exploits would lead to a “Saturday Night Massacre” moment and he would suffer the same fate that Richard Nixon did.

For Grassley utter these words on the Senate floor without any sense of shame is illustrative of just how far down the rabid hole he has sunk. And like most of the rest of the Republican Party, he is nothing more than a Trump flunky serving Dear Leader and ignoring the welfare – and the laws – of the nation. For that reason, the American people need to stay active and engaged and determined to vote out every Republican on the ballot in 2022. The stakes are too high to get complacent or apathetic. Not with people like Grassley in high positions of power.

Donald Trump Can’t Silence the ‘Rude Elevator Screamers’ By Putting His Hand Over Their Mouths

Here’s another item for the “Just when you thought Donald Trump hit rock Bottom” file. As the battle for the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh stumbles drunkenly to a close, the President assumed his post at the Twitter machine to bellow like the old man shaking his tiny fist at the clouds. His latest display of social mediangst managed to squeeze a surprising quantity of ignorant hostility into a single tweet.

The inspiration for Trump’s twitteruption was, as usual, something he saw on Fox News. Their allegedly business host, Maria Bartiromo, was interviewing Chuck Grassley about the American citizens protesting Kavanaugh’s nomination when she asked him, “Do you believe that George Soros is behind all of this?” He isn’t. But Grassley obediently said that he does. More importantly, Trump posted this tweet a little more than an hour later:

If this appeared under the name of any other public figure you might be tempted to triple check that it wasn’t a satirical fake. But sadly for the nation, it fits Trump’s personality perfectly. He actually is the sort of tone deaf cretin who would call sexual assault survivors “very rude elevator screamers.” He has no perception that his characterization of women screaming might reflect on the real life reactions they have had to their violent experiences in their bedrooms, their offices, on street corners, in cars, and even in elevators. What on Earth was he thinking when he posted that?

And if that weren’t bad enough, Trump also dismissed the horror these victims faced by calling them “paid professionals” without any evidence to support that charge. But he still wasn’t done making a total ass of himself. He then had to assert that the source of the alleged payments was George Soros, a Jewish holocaust survivor who suffered as a child under Nazi occupation. What might really upset Trump is the fact that Soros later went on to become a real billionaire whose assets are more than triple Trump’s. And the fact that he’s a philanthropist who dedicates hundreds of millions of dollars to making the world more free must really gnaw at Trump, who is famoulsy known as the world’s least charitable billionaire.

Finally, Trump’s tweet made a ludicrous point about the signs held by citizens at the Kavanaugh protests. Most of them were of the handmade variety, but there were some that had been provided by non-profit organizations opposing Kavanaugh’s confirmation. However, Trump focused on the pre-printed signs as a means of dismissing the genuine expressions of opposition to putting an accused sex offender, liar, and ultra-partisan fruitcake on the Supreme Court. He said that “professionally made identical signs” are somehow less sincere than the “signs made in the basement from love.” By which I assume he means these ones:

Donald Trump, Rally Signs

Don’t fall for it! Trump hasn’t said who pays for the signs at his cult rallies. Nor has he released his tax returns; or disclosed the funds he’s received from foreigners and special interest groups who stay at his hotels; or disputed the New York Times story about his decades of being a tax cheat. He hasn’t even come clean about all the money he’s paid to silence women that he has abused. But now he’s trying to put his hand over the mouths of the women finally speaking out about the epidemic of sexual assault. That’s something he probably learned from Brett Kavanaugh.

Trump Caves to Jeff Flake and the ‘Radical Left’ – Orders the ‘Deep State’ FBI to Probe Kavanaugh

Welcome to the continuing saga of Brett Kavanaugh and his quest to be the second Supreme Court justice with a history of alleged sexual harassment and/or assault (and nominated by a president with an even worse history). Today’s episode brings us to the Senate Judiciary Committee where Sen. Jeff Flake has issued an ultimatum demanding that the FBI investigate the charges of Kavanaugh’s accusers before he will consent to an affirmative vote.

Donald Trump

Committee chairman Chuck Grassley actually doesn’t have the authority to call in the FBI or to put the confirmation vote on the calendar. But he essentially agreed to proceed with a promise that Flake’s condition would be honored. Subsequently, Donald Trump issued a statement saying that:

“I’ve ordered the FBI to conduct a supplemental investigation to update Judge Kavanaugh’s file as the Senate has requested, this update must be limited in scope and completed in less than one week.”

This is a significant concession by a White House that has been fervently opposed to reopening Kavanaugh’s FBI background check. Just a couple of days ago Trump was holding a rare press conference where he refused to consider calling the FBI back in because “They don’t do this.” He elaborated saying that:

“The FBI told us they’ve investigated Judge Kavanaugh six times, five times, many times over the years. They know him very well. But here, there was nothing to investigate from at least one standpoint. They didn’t know the location. They didn’t know the time. They didn’t know the year. They didn’t know anything. And it’s like, where do you go? Also, it’s not for the FBI.”

The fact that Trump thinks that FBI cannot get involved in matters where “They didn’t know anything” would be hilarious if it weren’t so frightening. It’s exactly when little is known that the FBI is relied on to find out more. It’s called “Investigation” and it’s right there in the name of the Federal Bureau. But Trump is so ignorant of his role as president that he just makes up phony reasons to justify whatever outcome he prefers. Only last week he posted a ludicrous tweet responding to suggestions that the FBI be consulted (Isn’t there always a tweet?):

Everyone except Trump already knows why victims of sexual assault often don’t report the crimes. However, with Kavanaugh’s confirmation in trouble, Trump is now willing to defer to the “radical left lawyers” and the “Deep State” operatives lurking behind the scenes at the agency that he has been vilifying for the past two years as corrupt and out to get him.

Will this change the outcome of the confirmation vote? Who knows. It depends on whether the FBI finds corroboration of the charges against Kavanaugh. But they might also find evidence that he lied during his FBI interviews or his congressional testimony (which he did). That would also be disqualifying for an aspiring Supreme Court nominee. Well, under ordinary circumstances it would. But with today’s cravely partisan Republican Party controlling the Congress, pretty much anything goes.
