HOLY CR&P! Fox News Defends Trump Wishing that He Had ‘the Kind of Generals that Hitler Had’

The authoritarian aspirations of Donald Trump have been frighteningly apparent for years. From his earliest forays into political affairs he has been extraordinarily shameless about expressing his dreams of dictatorship. It’s a yearning that gnaws at him when what he believes should be his right to unchecked power is obstructed by technicalities – like the Constitution.

Donald Trump, Adolf Hitler

Trump’s open embrace of autocracy is evident in his idolization of tyrants such as Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, and Kim Jong Un. His admiration and envy of these thugs is not something that he hides. He even told his pal, Sean Hannity of Fox News, that he would “be a dictator on day one” of his administration if given the opportunity.

SEE THIS: Trump Cloddishly Dodges Hannity’s Softball Questions About Whether He Would Be a Dictator

With just two weeks remaining before Election Day, a new report about Trump’s imperious inclinations has surfaced. It might be considered an “October Surprise,” were it not for the fact that it isn’t the least bit surprising. But that doesn’t mean that it isn’t still nauseating.

Trump’s former White House Chief of Staff, Gen. John Kelly, has revealed that Trump frequently spoke of his admiration for Adolf Hitler. He told colleagues that “I need the kind of generals that Hitler had.” And when asked for confirmation, Kelly said that…

“Certainly the former president is in the far-right area, he’s certainly an authoritarian, admires people who are dictators — he has said that. So he certainly falls into the general definition of fascist, for sure.”

These are the kinds of remarks that would have sunk a presidential candidate in years past. But Trump is not so much a politician as he is a cult leader. And cult followers have an unshakeable devotion to their leader. Which is especially disturbing when the followers are also hosts of propaganda programs on alleged “news” networks.

On Wednesday morning, the “Curvy Couch” potatoes of Fox and Friends addressed the comments made by Gen. Kelly. And true to form, they endeavored to defend Trump’s affinity for Hitler and craving for his own Nazi regime. Co-host Brian Kilmeade attempted to recast the comments of Trump’s former National Security Advisor, H.R. McMaster, into a justification (video below), saying that…

“He talked about how [Defense Secretary Gen. Jim] Mattis and Kelly didn’t like the president. And they didn’t think he deserved the job, or they didn’t think he was worthy of the job and they went out of his way to make sure a lot of the things that he asked them to do, that they didn’t like, never got done. McMaster would be frustrated. Because he couldn’t get their attention, and he would say “it’s not your job to rein in the president. it’s your job to do what the president wants.”

Let’s stop there for a moment to notice that Kilmeade’s tale of what McMaster thought or said is pure conjecture on Kilmeade’s part. Both Mattis and Kelly thought well enough of Trump to accept his appointments to serve in his administration. If they later had reservations about some of the unlawful requests Trump made, it was not to “rein in the president,” but to honor their oath, which is to the Constitution, not the man. It is not their job “to do what the president wants,” but to adhere to the law. But Kilmeade wasn’t through. In continuing, he employed his clairvoyant powers to speculate as to what Trump might have been thinking…

“He obviously has frustration. And I can absolutely see him going, ‘now you know what, it would be great to have German generals that actually do what we ask them to do.’ Knowing that’s a third – maybe not fully being cognizant of the third rail of German generals who were Nazis and whatever.”

To be sure, Trump was likely frustrated by not having the totalitarian powers that he craved. So Kilmeade was tolerant enough to excuse his hankering for “German generals” who do what they’re told. Never mind that it was the threat of execution that enforced such obedience. Even worse, Kilmeade dismissed Trump’s desire to command unquestioning officers as merely his ignorance that Nazis were actually the bad guys.

Kilmeade also didn’t bother to mention that Kelly’s opinions about Trump’s fascist tendencies are shared by his military and national security colleagues, including the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Mark Milley, his former Defense Secretary, Mark Esper, and his former National Security Advisor, John Bolton. Plus more than 700 national security officials have endorse Kamala Harris for president, calling her a candidate who “defends America’s democratic ideals,” and blasting Trump as “unfit to serve.”

This is typical of how Fox News makes excuses for Trump no matter how repulsive his behavior, or how dangerous the consequences. They are even there to whitewash his embrace of fascism and Hitler. Which makes Fox News no better than Trump or the Nazis that he seeks to emulate. That should be more than sufficient to motivate patriotic Americans to vote in historically large numbers for Harris. And to that end, be sure to vote and get everyone you know to vote as well. This is up to all of us now.

Traitor Trump Says that Americans Who Oppose Him are ‘a Bigger Enemy than China and Russia’

If it hasn’t been abundantly obvious where Donald Trump’s loyalties lie, he was thoughtful enough to provide a timely reminder at his recent cult rally in Colorado. It was just the latest example of Trump saying out loud the repugnant opinions percolating in his broken brain bucket.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump Vladimir Putin

The Colorado clan conference consisted mainly of Trump whining about his crumbling campaign, lying about President Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris, insulting everyone who he deems insufficiently worshipful, maligning immigrants as monstrous and violent subhumans, and rambling incoherently about indecipherable nonsense. In other words, same old, same old Trump.

SEE THIS: OUCH! Trump’s Flagrant Lies About 14,000 ‘Criminal’ Migrants Gets a Devastating Fact-Check

However, the tediously repetitive playlist that Trump unloads at every one of his rallies does seem to be losing steam with many of the attendees who can be seen leaving while he is still in full rage on the stage. So he will occasionally try to interject something new for his audience that is anxiously awaiting more of his hallmark hate speech.

In the Colorado address, Trump offered up a wide ranging assault on the American people. He made it perfectly plain that he regards his fellow citizens as enemies and America’s enemies as friends. He said that…

“You know, I always say we have the outside enemy. So you can say China. You can say Russia. You can say Kim Jong Un. But that’s not [indecipherable gibberish]. If you have a smart president, no problem. It’s the enemy from within. All the scum that we have to deal with that hate our country. That’s a bigger enemy than China and Russia.”

To be clear, those who Trump describes as “scum” are anyone who disagrees with him or dares to criticize him. This isn’t a new line of attack for Trump. He has always had a vicious animosity toward people who wouldn’t kiss his – let’s say ring. But in these remarks he is explicitly castigating the Americans who he would supposedly be pledging to serve if elected.

At the same time, Trump is minimizing the threat of actual enemies such as China and Russia. Which isn’t surprising considering Trump’s long admiration for their tyrannical leaders that he hopes to emulate. Trump has been a fervent supporter of Vladimir Putin and his invasion of our ally, Ukraine. And Trump is still doing business with China. Even his phony “God Bless America” bibles were produced there for about three bucks each, and resold to his cult for $60.00.

So with Trump declaring that Americans are a bigger threat than China and Russia, he proposes draconian measures to oppress the citizens that he despises. His plans include the construction of concentration camps and mass deportations, even of legal residents. And he continues to disparage democracy with his obsession with the 2020 election that he still says was “rigged and stolen” from him. Consequently, he refuses to say that he will honor the results of the 2024 election.

Sound familiar? It reeks of the fascism of the 1930s that Trump has a great affinity for. And if you need further confirmation of Trump’s leanings, just listen to what Gen. Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff during the Trump administration, said about Trump in the new book “War” by Bob Woodward

“He is the most dangerous person ever. I had suspicions when I talked to you about his mental decline and so forth, but now I realize he’s a total fascist. He is now the most dangerous person to this country. A fascist to the core.”

It’s hard to add anything to that. So I won’t.

UPDATE: Trump told Maria Bartiromo on Fox News that “the enemy from within [are] sick people, radical left lunatics [that] should be easily handled by, if necessary, by National Guard, or if really necessary, by the military.” So Trump is now promising to use the U.S. military against American citizens who don’t support him.

Loathsome Laura Ingraham of Fox News Applauds Report that Joint Chiefs Chairman Mark Milley Has COVID

The heinous inhumanity of contemporary conservatism has been evident for years. It is an ideology that delights in the hardship of others, whether they be political opponents or citizens who have the audacity to be poor, non-white, or (gasp) Democrats. And their openly hostile attitude toward those they regard as adversaries has been spiraling downward since the advent of the Cult of Donald Trump, who also gets his kicks from people suffering.

Fox News, Laura Ingraham

To prove that point, Fox News Senior White Nationalist, Laura Ingraham, offered another episode of her continuing segment “Positively Boosted” on her program on Monday. The purpose of the segment is to callously mock people who have been diagnosed with COVID after having been vaccinated. It is a despicable concept that reveals her perverse pleasure in the suffering of others.

In Monday’s episode Ingraham reported that Gen. Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, was diagnosed with COVID. But it wasn’t enough to merely report this news that any decent person would consider unfortunate, Ingraham actually applauded with glee while doing so. “The triple vaxxed Joint Chiefs chairman Mark Milley,” Ingraham gushed, “our favorite, Mark Milley, tested positive for COVID yesterday.”

Ingraham and her guest, Raymond Arroyo of the Eternal Word Television Network, went on to cheer the illnesses of Marine Corps commandant, General David Berger, and the Vatican’s secretary of state, Cardinal Pietro Parolin. They closed the segment with their wholly disingenuous well wishes that “they’re all healthy and fine. But stop pushing your mandates.”

Note that she said that from where she is remotely broadcasting due to the mandates imposed by Fox News. What’s more, Milley’s diagnosis is proof that mandates, like those imposed by the military, are necessary as a matter of military readiness. As CNN reports

“[T]here were 32,912 COVID cases in service members around the world, marking a dramatic increase from one week earlier, when there were 13,940 cases across the military. Just before Christmas, the number was a far lower, at 5,285 cases.”

Milley is Ingraham’s “favorite” because he has had concerns about diversity and racism in the ranks, which she called a “far-left Marxist racist ideology.” She may also have been listening to her Fox News confederate, Tucker Carlson, who maligned Milley for the same reason, saying – in a feat of epic projection – that “He’s not just a pig, he’s stupid.” All because Milley told a congressional hearing that…

“I do think it’s important for those of us in uniform to be open minded and be widely read. The United States Military Academy is a university. And it is important that we train and we understand. And I want to understand white rage. And I’m white, and I want to understand it. So what is it that caused thousands of people to assault this building and try to overturn the Constitution of the United States of America? What caused that?”

Perhaps Ingraham was also triggered by Milley’s remarks published in the book Peril, by Bob Woodward and Robert Costa. The book reported that…

“Milley took top secret action to limit President Trump’s ability to make strike or to use nuclear weapons. […] Milley is deeply shaken from the assault on the Capitol on [January] 6th. He believes Trump is unstable, unpredictable, and Milley believes that Trump is in serious mental decline.”

For the record, Gen. Milley is a career Army officer who was appointed to his post by Trump in 2018 and confirmed by the Senate on a vote of 89 to 1 (Jeff Merkley, a Democrat, was the sole “no” vote). But despite Trump’s promotion, as he often does, he later turned on Milley and appeared on the Newsmax program hosted by his former press secretary, Sean Spicer, to respond to the excerpts from Woodward’s book by accusing Milley of treason.

The anti-vax positions by Ingraham and Fox News are prolonging and exacerbating the pandemic, particularly among their own viewers. And Ingraham’s idiotic and insensitive segment mocking people who got COVID after being vaccinated is just more dangerous disinformation. She is discouraging people from getting vaccinated by falsely implying that vaccines don’t work. Which results in the virus spreading and infecting more people, including some who were vaccinated.

What Ingraham doesn’t bother to mention is that the vaccinated will generally have mild symptoms, if any, while the unvaccinated are far more likely to wind up in the hospital, or the morgue. But those pesky facts don’t deter Ingraham or Fox News from spreading lies that put people’s lives at risk. In fact, as can be seen in this instance, they actually get off on it.

Matt Gaetz Inadvertently (Though Correctly) Calls Donald Trump ‘Addled’

The House Armed Services Committee held a hearing with the top Pentagon brass on Wednesday. The purpose was ostensibly to get more information about the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan after twenty years of of conflict. However, as is often the case, some of the members of the committee were only there to malign President Biden, the American military, and its leaders.

Fox News, Matt Gaetz

For reasons that are inconceivable, Matt Gaetz (FL-QAnon) is a member of the committee, despite having no military experience or education whatsoever. And as a confirmed ultra-partisan bomb thrower, he spent his allotted time making baseless accusations and impotent insults and threats.

In the process of his pitifully uninformed ranting, Gaetz demonstrated just what a buffoon he is, and what an embarrassment to the Congress and the district he supposedly represents (when he isn’t off on pathetic political junkets with his BFF Marjorie Taylor Green). Gaetz, a trust fund baby who never served, scolded Gen. Mark Milley, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, saying that…

“You said yesterday that you weren’t gonna resign when senators asked you this question. And I believe you guys probably won’t resign. You seem to be very happy failing up over there. But if we didn’t have a president that was so addled, you all would be fired. Because that is what you deserve. You have let down people who wear the uniform in my district and all around the country and you’re far more interested in what your perception is and how people think about you in insider Washington books than you care about winning.”

A congressman who is currently under investigation for sex trafficking and soliciting of a minor probably shouldn’t be calling for the resignations of others. That’s particularly true when he has no foundation for making such an audacious demand.

However, in his harangue Gaetz appears to be oblivious to the attack he’s making on his messiah and mentor, Donald Trump. By asserting that Milley would have been fired “if we didn’t have a president that was so addled,” Gaetz is actually agreeing with all of those who have observed that Trump is dangerously crazy. That’s because it was Trump who promoted Milley to the chairmanship of the Joint Chiefs of Staff back in December of 2018. He was confirmed by the GOP led Senate on a bipartisan vote of 89 to 1 (Jeff Merkley, a Democrat, was the sole “no” vote). Milley then served in that role for the remaining two years of Trump’s presidency, and continues under Biden.

So if anyone deserves the “blame” for Milley’s service, it’s Trump. And according to Gaetz, Trump was too addled to fire him. What’s more, Gaetz’s assertion that Milley was more interested in his perception is pure projection on Gaetz’s part. He was a whore to Fox News for most of his brief tenure in congress. Although that seems to have come to an end since the breaking of his sex scandal. Apparently Gaetz is now even too toxic for Fox News.

Despite having been “cancelled” by Fox News, Gaetz is still sucking up to the network and its biggest stars. Recently Gaetz embraced Tucker Carlson and his racist “Great White Replacement” theory, saying that Carlson was “correct” and that the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), who called for Fox to fire Carlson, were the racists. It makes you wonder who it is that is really addled, doesn’t it?

Pelosi to Gen Milley: Trump is ‘Crazy. You Know He’s Crazy. He’s Been Crazy for a Long Time’

In the fantastical final days of Donald Trump’s occupation of the White House, whatever measure of madness you might have imagined was actually much worse. Having lost so decisively to Joe Biden, a man Trump tried frame as a senile communist, threw Trump into a psychotic tailspin that was observable by all to whom he came in contact.

Donald Trump, Insane, Straight Jacket

The book new book, Peril, by Bob Woodward and Robert Costa, is described by the publisher with this alarming blurb: “The transition from President Donald J. Trump to President Joseph R. Biden Jr. stands as one of the most dangerous periods in American history.” And even that is an understatement.

RELATED: PROJECTION: Trump and Fox News Attack Nancy Pelosi’s Mental Fitness

Excerpts from the book are beginning to emerge that chronicle the days following the January 6th insurrection in Washington, D.C. Among the most harrowing accounts of Trump’s descent into madness are the conversations House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley. CNN’s Jaime Gangel brought some of the more disturbing comments to her Tuesday morning segment of Inside Politics. Gangel led off by quoting from the book that…

“General Mark Milley took top secret action to limit President Trump’s ability to make strike or to use nuclear weapons. […] Milley is deeply shaken from the assault on the Capitol on [January] 6th. He believes Trump is unstable, unpredictable, and Milley believes that Trump is in serious mental decline.”

Then Gangel recounts the contents of a startling and historic phone call between Milley and Pelosi for which Woodward and Costa had obtained an exclusive transcript. In the call Pelosi revealed that she had the same concerns as Milley:

Pelosi: Who knows what he might do? He’s crazy. You know he’s crazy. He’s been crazy for a long time. So don’t say you don’t know what his state of mind is. He’s crazy. And what he did yesterday is further evidence of his craziness.
Milley: Madame Speaker, I agree with you on everything.

Some partisan players might be inclined to dismiss the concerns of Speaker Pelosi, a longtime and loyal Democrat. But Gen. Milley is a career Army officer who was appointed to his post by Trump and confirmed by the Senate on a vote of 89 to 1 (Jeff Merkley, a Democrat, was the sole “no” vote). Milley was so afraid that Trump could “go rogue” that he took precautionary measures to intercept any orders to use nuclear weapons.

As if that weren’t bad enough, CNN also reported another conversation documented in the book. Trump’s efforts to bully Vice-President Mike Pence reveal a desperate, delusional, and dangerous soon-to-be former president:

Trump: If these people say you had the power, wouldn’t you want to?
Pence: I wouldn’t want any one person to have that authority.
Trump: But wouldn’t it be almost cool to have that power?
Pence: No. I’ve done everything I could and then some to find a way around this. It’s simply not possible.
Trump: No, no, no! You don’t understand, Mike. You can do this. I don’t want to be your friend anymore if you don’t do this.

And there we can see Trump’s emotional maturity reverting to elementary school level. Which is a key symptom of senility. The stubbornness, the anger, the vindictiveness, and the tantrum throwing when he doesn’t get his way, are all characteristics of a petulant child. No wonder the people on the inside were scared.

Unfortunately, not enough of them were scared enough to remove the twice-impeached Trump from office when they had the chance – twice. And lily-livered sycophants like GOP leaders Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy only made things worse. Their docile servility to the cult of Trump has left the nation in the precarious position it is in today.

RELATED: WTF? Trump Flunkies on Fox News Blame Pelosi for Plot to Assassinate Herself

With Trump continuing to propagate the “Big Lie” about election fraud, and incite further violence and domestic terrorism (aided and abetted by Fox News), it is at least somewhat comforting that there are failsafe features in our government that can prevent lunatics like Trump, and others like him, from executing their maniacal plots. The question is, how long will that hold up if the perpetrators aren’t held accountable under the law?

UPDATE: Trump appeared on the Newsmax program hosted by his former press secretary, Sean Spicer, to respond to the excerpts from Woodward’s book. He began by accusing Milley of treason, but by the end of his rant he was attacking Woodward’s veracity. So which is it Donnie? Is it fake news or treason? Or are you just babbling again, as usual?
