Fox News Tribute to Karoline Leavitt Shows How Proud They Are of Her Behaving Like B*tch

Today was the last day on the job for Donald Trump’s press secretary, Karoline Leavitt. She spent the last 20 months serving as the senior White House promulgator of lies and drooling exaltations of Dear Leader Trump.

Donald Trump and Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt

For most of her tenure as propaganda secretary, Leavitt appeared on Fox News (several times a week) disseminating prefab disinformation to the network’s gullible audience of MAGA cultists. From her first days in her spokesmodel role, Leavitt altered the relationship between the media and the White House. She made it her mission to replace credible journalists with brazenly pro-Trump podcasters and Internet trolls.

On Thursday morning Leavitt was once again on Fox News, this time for her exit interview. And to no one’s surprise, it was a biased segment that featured her anti-media raving and personal nastiness. In fact, those were the attributes of her tenure at the White House that Fox News was most proud of. They even produced a video montage of it that included such memorable gems as…

“You [CNN’s Kaitlan Collins] take every single thing this administration says and try to use it to make the president look bad.”
(Note: He doesn’t need any help for that).

“You [The Hill’s Niall Stanage] are a left-wing hack. You’re not a reporter. You’re posing in this room as a journalist.”
(Note: Prior to Leavitt’s arrival all reporters in the White House Press Room were certified by the independent White House Correspondents Association).

“Of course the president supports peaceful protest. What a stupid question.”
(Note: Trump literally asked his Secretary of Defense Mark Esper if the military could shoot protesters in the legs).

“My first reaction when seeing former President Biden speaking tonight was ‘I’m shocked that he’s speaking at nighttime.’ I thought his bedtime was much earlier.”
(Note: Trump’s bedtime is even earlier, including during Cabinet meetings in the daytime).

“I gave a quote to one of the media outlets in this room yesterday that Democrats behaving like children would be the least surprising thing of the night.”
(Note: This is rich coming from the spokesperson for the biggest baby in White House history).

"Good times. Great memories." — Fox & Friends' tribute to Karoline Leavitt is just a supercut of her being a condescending jerk to reporters. Imagine being proud of acting like this.

Following the montage, Leavitt responded saying that those were “Good times. Great memories.” Those were actually what both Leavitt and Fox News felt were the moments that they were most proud of. But then, what else could they present in their farewell tribute? It’s not like there were any moments in the past year and a half wherein she demonstrated any honor, honesty, or even maturity, to include in the montage.

To the contrary, Leavitt performed like a PR agent for a criminal fraudster and alleged pedophile who scammed his way into a position of power through deceit and threats. In other words, she was perfectly matched for employment by Trump.

Leavitt’s departure from the White House at this time, just prior to the critical midterm election, is suspicious. She’s claiming the old trope that she wants to spend more time with her family. But she just took a few months off on maternity leave, then came back to work. Shortly after she returned, it was alleged that Trump ditched her on a plane that he believed would be a target for a terrorist attack by Iran, while he snuck off to a different plane without telling those on the targeted plane about the danger they were in.

Leavitt made her resignation announcement two weeks ago. There has been no mention by Trump since then as to who might replace her. While some analysts believe that the job will go to a sycophant like Natalie Harp or Scott Jennings, others have suggested that Trump will name himself as his own press secretary. And I wouldn’t rule out Lara Trump, who is not only a member of his family, but also a Fox News host.

After Leavitt has had her fill of family life, expect her to be hired by Fox News, just like Trump’s first term press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany. As for whoever fills Leavitt’s shoes at the White House, we can all rest assured that it will be someone for whom lying is not a moral problem, and who unwaveringly adores Trump. And those criteria make the case for Trump selecting himself. Who else lies more frequently and loves him more fervently?
