Trump-Fluffing Fox News Host Doesn’t Get It: You Have to Hate Trump to Love America

There has been a barrage of bad news for Donald Trump lately. Last week the New York Attorney General, Letitia James, won a civil lawsuit against Trump that resulted in a $350 million judgment for his having falsified financial statements. That followed a civil judgment of $83 million against him for the defamation and rape of writer E. Jean Carroll. And a date has been set for next month for his trial on charges of paying hush money to adult film star, Stormy Daniels.

These cases do not even include the 91 felony counts for the criminal charges that are still pending. Trump’s legal problems continue to eat away at what remains of his cognitive functionality. And that mental breakdown is evident in the rancid rants at his cult rallies and on his increasingly incoherent comments on his failing social media scam, Truth Social.

But never fear. Trump’s Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News, is hard at work covering up Trump’s emotional and intellectual defects. Whether it is his demands that he be allowed to commit any crime he wants without consequences, or his subservient encouragement to Vladimir Putin to attack America’s NATO allies. Fox News finds a way to sanitize his overtly traitorous tendencies. For example, on Monday morning Lisa Boothe, co-host of Fox’s Outnumbered, unleashed this sycophantic slop…

“These people clearly hate Trump more than they love America. And by the time they finally get him, if they ever do, what’s going to become of the country? Think of all the damage these threats to democracy people have done as they burn the country down to try to get him.

“No one trusts elections anymore after they upended the system during COVID, a virus almost as deadly as the flu. As they upended the process with mail-in balloting and trying to take Trump off the ballot. No one trusts the rule of law anymore. It doesn’t exist as they’ve used it weaponized against Donald Trump. The media debased itself lying about Donald Trump.”

Let’s just set aside the utterly insane dismissal of COVID as “a virus almost as deadly as the flu.” COVID has at least a 60% higher fatality rate than the flu. Moving on, someone needs to explain to Boothe that it’s possible – even necessary – to hate Trump in order to love America. And that’s true specifically because of the things that Boothe enumerates- albeit inadvertently – in her spiel. Such as…

  • The fact that it is Trump who is the “threat to democracy.”
  • That Trump literally tried to “burn the country down” via his incitement of an insurrection on January 6, 2021.
  • That Trump has fomented distrust of elections with his refusal to accept his loss to President Biden, and his relentless lies about election fraud that he has never been able to prove.
  • That Trump promoted gross disrespect for the rule of law by repeatedly breaking it and disparaging the American system of justice.
  • And it is Fox News that best represents “media [that] debased itself lying about Donald Trump.”

Any American patriot with open eyes can see that it is impossible to love America without hating Trump and his determination to destroy what America stands for. And that goes for Fox News too. This pathetic embrace of Trump’s venality is just more proof that Fox is a purposefully anti-American enterprise that only serves the interests our enemies.

Trump’s Truth Social is Revealed to Be Another Terribly Risky Trump Scam – By Its Own Prospectus

The insufferable saga of Donald Trump’s Truth Social website, and his desperate attempts to remain relevant online since he was booted from Twitter, is continuing to descend ever deeper into an abyss of his own making. And this downward spiraling is accelerating despite his relentless contributions of posts that are primarily incoherent and emotional outbursts of hostility, ignorance, and self-exaltation.

This week the Securities and Exchange Commission inexplicably approved the merger between Truth Social’s parent company, Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG), and Digital World Acquisition Corp (DWAC), the shell company that Trump hopes to use to get a stock market listing. That news contributed to DWAC’s stock price tripling since the beginning of the year ($16.00- $48.00). Or maybe it was because the Biden-Harris campaign created a Truth Social account and began posting a few weeks ago.

However, no one but confirmed Trump Cult devotees should be jumping into this stock if they care about preserving their money. A quick look at the company’s prospectus should frighten off any astute investors. Some of the risks disclosed in the prospectus were reported by MarketWatch

“Truth Social, his would-be Twitter rival, is a high-risk, speculative operation with few hard numbers behind it. It’s already the subject of subpoenas, from regulators and a grand jury, even though it’s barely off the ground. Oh, and Trump is not required to use the social-media site much — if at all — to communicate with the public, notably if voters were to return him to the White House. You buy the stock at your own peril.”

[And…]

“Digital World has been in trouble with the Securities and Exchange Commission, and recently agreed to pay $18 million to settle fraud charges relating to this potential merger.”

[And…]

“A number of companies that were associated with President Trump have filed for bankruptcy…There can be no assurances that TMTG will not also fail.”

The prospectus also discloses the six bankruptcies among Trump’s hotels and casinos, and other business failures, such as his airline, vodka, steaks, mortgage, and travel agency. Also mentioned was his fraudulent university that was ordered to pay $25 million in compensatory damages. The article didn’t mention his bogus charity that was also fined and shuttered.

Furthermore, the prospectus included a section enumerating Trump’s numerous pending criminal cases. The 91 felony charges included everything from financial fraud, to inciting a violent insurrection, to threatening election officials, to stealing (and perhaps disseminating) classified documents. And let’s not forget his being found civilly liable for rape and ordered to pay $354 million for falsifying his financial statements.

MarketWatch noted that TMTG reported a measly 8.9 million users. But that’s okay because it “believes that adhering to traditional key performance indicators, such as signups, average revenue per user, ad impressions and pricing, or active user accounts” is a distraction.

Perhaps they are figuring in Trump’s “brand” value. Although on that measure, the prospectus says that Trump is only “required to post certain of his social-media messages there first…And the Truth Social exclusivity on each post only lasts for six hours. [and he] can even cancel this agreement with 30 days’ notice, ‘at any time on or after February 2, 2025.'” Which is suspiciously just two weeks after Inauguration Day.

The recent surge in DWAC’s stock should be regarded with ample amounts of skepticism. The stock has had similar spikes – and subsequent declines – several times. Investors and Trump Cult disciples who bought in at $170.00 a share are still seriously screwed. But maybe they continue to believe that Trump can earn it all back with his latest business venture: grotesquely gold “Never Surrender” sneakers…

UPDATE: As evidence that Trump will eventually turn on you, no matter who you are and how much you suck up to him, Truth Social co-founders accuse Trump of trying to rip them off in merger.

This week there was a historic court judgment against a former president of the United States. Donald Trump was found to have committed massive fraud in an effort to enrich himself via favorable loan and insurance rates that he was not entitled to. The court imposed a $350 million penalty on Trump.

Needless to say, Trump and his legal team were not pleased with that ruling. As usual Trump delivered a stream of frenzied posts on his failing social media scam, Truth Social, that continued his relentless and childish insults aimed at the judge, the prosecutors, witnesses, and media.

However, in a bid to outdo Trump’s own berserk behavior, his lawyer, Alina Habba, rushed into the warm arms of Sean Hannity on Fox News to whine about what a terrible world they are forced to live in. A world where criminals are held accountable for their crimes, and where there are consequences for deliberate violations of the law.

What made Habba’s appearance on Hannity’s show even more amusing, is how she chose to defend Trump following the devastating judgment against him. Did she bring up any legal arguments that attest to his innocence? Did she cite any flaws in the court’s procedures? Did she offer any proof of bias? Nope. Here is what Habba felt was her most compelling rebuttal to the ruling…

“Ms. James had her shoes off in court. Let’s not forget that. I called it out in the closing arguments. But it’s true. She had a Starbucks coffee in her hand. She wasn’t doing work, and she wasn’t sitting at the counsel table. She was in the back with her shoes off and a coffee. And at the end of the day, we’re sitting there looking at this going ‘this is the state of our country.'”

That’s right! New York Attorney General Letitia James had the audacity to briefly remove her shoes while watching the proceedings. And to make matters worse, she was DCWB (Drinking Coffee While Barefoot). These will surely be among Habba’s main points in her motion to appeal. But she went on to say that…

“AGs are so comfortable in court that they know they don’t even have to do the job. They don’t have to do the work. They’re going to let their people do it, and they’re going to sit there and they’re going to win. That’s a problem. So we will go to the next level. We are going to people that aren’t running on a campaign, running to get Trump before they are event in office, and we will win.”

Apparently Habba thinks that Attorneys General take the lead in prosecutions conducted by their office. That is almost never true. They are managers, more often than litigators. So James was, in fact, doing her job. Not that Habba really cares about that.

As for James being “comfortable in court” with the prospect of winning, why wouldn’t she be? The mountain of evidence against Trump was as good a predictor of success as any prosecutor has ever had. Judge Engoron noted that “this defense is wholly undercut by the overwhelming evidence adduced at trial.”

So shoes or not, James was understandably comfortable. And Trump is just as understandably scared. This was a devastating civil judgment, but the criminal cases are still to come.

Putin Puppet Tucker Carlson a Few Days Before the Navalny Murder: ‘Every Leader Kills People’

Friday morning delivered news of the tragic death of Alexei Navalny, the Russian opposition leader and Vladimir Putin’s most outspoken critic. Navalny’s passing in a Russian prison is heartbreaking, but not surprising.

The death of such a prominent opponent of Putin comes at a time when the U.S. Congress is struggling to pass legislation that would provide Ukraine support for their battle against Russia’s aggression and slaughter of innocent civilians. Democrats have voted overwhelming in favor of that legislation, which also included aid for Israel and American immigration reforms, while Republicans have done Putin’s – and Donald Trump’s – bidding by blocking it.

Navalny’s death also came just a few days after Tucker Carlson traveled to Russia for a slobbering propaganda production, wherein he did an embarrassingly obsequious interview of Putin that omitted little or no references to the Russian dictator’s war crimes in Ukraine and elsewhere, his assassinations of his foes, or the incarceration of Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich. Carlson also neglected to bring up Putin’s persecution of Navalny.

In the hours that have passed since the reporting of Navalny’s death, neither Trump nor Carlson has posted a single comment of condemnation or consolation. Carlson, however, had something to say on the broader subject of Putin’s murderous reign just after concluding his Russian holiday. It came in response to an interviewer’s inquiry in the following exchange…

Interviewer: You should challenge some ideas. For instance, you didn’t talk about freedom of speech in Russia, you did not talk about Navalny, about assassinations, about restrictions on opposition
Tucker Carlson: Every leader kills people, including my leader. Every leader kills people. some kill more than others. Leadership requires killing people. Sorry, that’s why I wouldn’t want to be a leader.

So Carlson believes that it’s perfectly acceptable and routine for authoritarian tyrants to commit extrajudicial murders. It’s just a fact of life to him. He asserts that all leaders engage in the practice of political assassinations. Even, according to Carlson, American leaders. And he specifically includes President Biden (“my leader”). Perhaps he would like to tells us who, and if he’s cool with that too?

This is another nauseating position that is held by the MAGA Cult of Trump. Add it to Trump’s recent remarks that he would “encourage” Putin to attack America’s NATO allies. But it is only the latest toxic tantrum thrown by Tucker. His party in Putinland produced several pieces of pure pro-Russian propaganda. For instance, he declared that Moscow “is so much nicer than any city in my country.” And that was just the beginning…

Carlson was bewitched by what he regarded as the freedom and the beauty of Russia. But his impression was tainted by a perverse distortion of reality. He lauded the access to cheap fast foods that actually cost more as a percentage of income than in the U.S.

Carlson also extolled the virtues of grocery shopping in Russia that he said would “radicalize you against our leaders,” despite his pitifully ignorant grasp of real world economics.

Carlson was also impressed by some of the showcase subways in Moscow, while neglecting to show the ones that are dingy and dilapidated.

The overall conclusions by Carlson were that Russia is a far better country than America. He says it has a higher standard of living for less money. He said that it is on par with other nations, including the U.S., with regard to social and political liberty. He even praised the Russian press as only slightly more censorious than the their counterparts in America…

“Press restriction is universal in the United States, I know because I’ve lived it. Ask my former – I’ve had a lot of jobs. And I’ve done this for 34 years and I know how it works and there’s more censorship in Russia than there is in the United States but there is a great deal in the United States.”

Notice that Carlson cut himself off before saying “Ask my former…” employer, Fox News. That’s because he was fired by Fox for lying after they were forced into a $787 million defamation settlement. And he makes vague allusions to the fact that he was also fired by CNN, MSNBC, and PBS.

That resume of repeated failure is a reflection on Carlson, not the freedom of the press in America. But he will continue to lie to his shrunken audience and suck up to his keepers in the Kremlin. Because, at this point, that’s all he has left.

UPDATE: The next day, Carlson made a statement about Navalny, calling it “horrifying.” However, he never mentioned his hero, Putin, or attributed the murder to him.

Deranged Trump Says He’s Being Charged for Crimes that Don’t Exist, Even If He’s Guilty of Them

The criminal rap sheet of Donald Trump is longer than that of many organized crime bosses. He even brags when comparing his indictments to those of Mafia kingpin, Al Capone. And he’s not wrong. He is currently facing 91 felony counts in four jurisdictions. And that’s not counting the $83 million civil judgment he was recently ordered to pay for defaming and raping writer E. Jean Carroll.

Stormy Daniels Donald Trump

On Thursday Trump attended a hearing for one of his cases in Manhattan, where he has been charged with financial misconduct and falsifying election funding reports. This is the case wherein he paid hush money to adult film star, Stormy Daniels, in order to keep the public from learning about his perverse personal life and breach of his marital vows.

Trump was not required to attend this hearing, but like other such circumstances, he went anyway so that he could hold court outside the courtroom and spread lies to the assembled media. True to form, Trump rambled incoherently for several minutes about everything from crime in New York to what he calls “a real dark period for our country.” But what follows are a few of the more relevant parts of his rant…

“[T]here is absolutely no case here, it’s not a crime. […] What it is, is election interference. It is being run by Joe Biden’s White House. […] This is just a way of hurting me in the election because I’m leading by a lot. […] Even if he’s guilty of something, there’s no crime..”

Trump’s declaration that “there’s no crime” flies in the face of the criminal statutes that explicitly reference the laws that he has broken. He even comes close to a confession when he offers speculation that “even if he’s guilty” there is no crime. Although he neglects to explain how he could be guilty of an imaginary crime.

Furthermore, Trump swerves way off topic by asserting that the prosecution “is being run by Joe Biden’s White House.” He has never provided any evidence of that charge, but only because none exists. It is a state case that the federal government has no role in. And his complaint that he’s only being prosecuted because he’s leading in the presidential race is just another wild diversion from the fact that all of the actual evidence points to his guilt.

Finally, Trump whined about this prosecution taking place during this election year…

“They want to rush it because they want to get it desperately before the election goes, before the election, that’s what they want to do. They don’t care, after the election.”

First of all, it has only taken this long because Trump himself has employed every tactic he could in order to delay it. His complaint that prosecutors are rushing it in order to get a verdict before the election is precisely what they should be doing. The public deserves to know whether Trump is a crook prior to voting. Although there is little doubt of that, it is still best to have a legal adjudication.

More importantly, Trump should also want a fast conclusion. At least he would if he were innocent. In fact, an innocent person would demand to be exonerated before an upcoming election.

Apparently Trump is expecting to be convicted. And who would know better than he what he’s done? Which is exactly why he’s so scared and why he’s fighting so hard to prevent the truth from getting out.

Grifter Girl Lara Trump Says When She is RNC Chair ‘Every Single Penny Will Go to Donald Trump’

However, in the past seven years Trump has turned his grifting operation to politics, raising millions of dollars from billionaires seeking favors from government, extorting funds from foreign countries, and fleecing his deluded MAGA disciples.

Expanding that criminal outreach into political scams, Trump is now proposing that his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump (Eric’s girl), be made co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC). She would serve along side devoted Trump flunky and election denier, Michael Whatley, and Trump’s campaign manager Chris LaCivita. The elevation of that trio of toadies to run the RNC is further evidence that the party has devolved into a true cult that is blindly obedient to the will of its Dear Leader.

Lara Trump has zero experience in managing an electoral organization. So putting her in charge of the RNC in this profoundly significant election year is something that should be extraordinarily helpful – to Democrats. And she has already demonstrated how much help her leadership will be in a recent interview on Newsmax, the network that employed her as a guest host and contributor after her termination from Fox News. She told her colleague Rob Schmitt that…

“If I am elected to this position I can assure you there will not be any more $70,000 – or whatever exorbitant amount of money it was – spent on flowers. Every single penny will go to the number one, and the only job of the RNC. That is electing Donald J. Trump as president of the United States.”

The rest of the Republican candidates for office must be happy to hear that. The RNC is supposed to be a neutral enterprise that advances the prospects of all GOP candidates. But in the Era of Trump “the only job of the RNC [is] is electing Donald J. Trump.” For some reason Lara’s allegedly billionaire Sugardaddy-in-Law doesn’t think that he has enough money, or access to donors, to finance his own campaign. And that may be true because Trump has had to spend millions of his donors dollars on his legal fees and incompetent lawyers.

So now Trump has to appropriate all of the donations made to the RNC that were intended to benefit the party nationally. And even that may not be enough, considering that the Party’s current leadership under chair Ronna McDaniel has been so inept that the party has little to show for it’s efforts. They have raised record low amounts in the past year and have far less available cash on hand than their Democratic opponents.

But not to worry. With Trump’s daughter-in-law at the helm of the RNC, there will be no more wasteful expenditures on things like flowers. Now it will just be lawyers, Trump rallies, golfing, and portraits of Trump. Plus they will be able to introduce the tactics that Trump has used for decades to fill his pockets.

This election cycle has, unfortunately, seen the media embarrass themselves with ridiculous stories that compare a candidate that they say is old with memory problems, to his opponent who is also old and with 91 pending felony charges, an adjudication as a rapist, is guilty of financial fraud, and recently promised to illegally violate the NATO treaty and “encourage” Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to attack America’s European allies.

Last week the press covered the report released by special counsel Robert Hur on his probe of documents stored by President Biden. But what should have been a story about Biden being fully exonerated, was diverted into a smear campaign that made inappropriate and false assertions about Biden’s mental acuity.

Biden’s response to this unethical attack was multilayered. And consistent with his affable personality, humor was part of that response. For instance…

However, Fox News was apparently concerned about the strategies being employed by the Biden campaign. Host Harris Faulkner was generous enough to provide some free advice to help Biden deal with the furor over the Hur report’s unscrupulous insinuations. Never mind that most of that furor was fanned by Fox News itself. Faulkner began by asking…

“Who is doing this man’s strategy? President Biden joking about his age and memory. Insisting, in fact, he does remember things after that scathing DoJ report cast so much doubt. He didn’t get indicted because the question was, could a jury even go anywhere with him because he has no memory. Now he says he does have memory. Are they gonna indict him?

So Faulkner’s formula for disposing of this dilemma is to refrain from any and all humor. As if a scowling facade of seriousness would put the matter to rest. That sort of gloomy brooding and hostility might work for Trump on his cult disciples, but most everyone else finds it repulsive and repellant.

What’s more, Faulkner completely misstates the findings in Hur’s report. Hur did not decline to indict Biden because of an allegedly poor memory. It was because he didn’t have the evidence to indict, as he said in his report in several separate passages such as the following…

“[W]e cannot prove that Mr. Biden knew about or intended to keep the document after he was vice president, or we cannot prove the document contains national defense information, or both. These documents do not support criminal charges against Mr. Biden.”

Consequently, Faulkner’s snarky inquiry as to whether Biden would be indicted now that he has acknowledged that his memory is fine only confirms her own cognitive failings. He never claimed to have a memory problem to begin with. So his affirmation of his recall doesn’t change anything for Biden or the special counsel.

Trump Whines that His Lawyers are Overpaid, But Considering What They Go Through, They’re Cheap

The Washington Post has published an extensive analysis of the legal team that Donald Trump has assembled to defend him in the various civil and criminal cases that are in progress. Having recently been found liable for defamation and rape against writer E. Jean Carroll, there remain 91 felony charges pending in four jurisdictions.

The Post’s article details the chaos and conflict within the Trump legal team, including his frequent changing of “facts” when they don’t further his political goals; his refusal to take advice from his lawyers; his pressuring them to insert extraneous political rhetoric into his legal arguments; and his reputation for failing to pay them. Several attorneys have already quit due to such shenanigans. But not before providing spectacularly awful representation.

The Post began it’s review of the Trump melodrama by noting the historical anomaly of a former president being indicted for multiple felonies.

“Trump, who is also the leading 2024 Republican presidential candidate, has a court schedule with no parallel in political or legal history — fighting felony charges that include allegedly obstructing a U.S. election and improperly retaining national security information. He is simultaneously facing four criminal indictments and multiple civil cases, a crush of court challenges that led to his political action committees’ spending more than $55 million last year on legal fees, campaign finance filings show.”

They also reported on the idiosyncratic behavior of Trump as a client and a defendant who believes that he knows more about the law than his counsel.

“As a client, Trump is both fickle and demanding [and that he] posts on social media without telling anyone, leaving his advisers and lawyers to read his missives at the same time as the public.”

One particular striking revelation in the Post’s article was that Trump himself has a serious problem with his attorneys. And surprisingly, it isn’t because they have a record of repeated losses and embarrassingly bad strategies. Nope. What Trump is complaining about is how much they are charging him.

“[O]ne adviser said he’s complained that some are overpaid. The lawyers have been told they can’t charge more than $750 an hour after some lawyers sent in bills that Trump’s political advisers deemed exorbitant, this person said.”

It’s actually hard to fault Trump in this regard. What client would want to shell out millions of dollars to attorneys who repeatedly lose, while simultaneously infuriating judges and juries? A mediocre intern could stumble over a bar that low.

On the other hand, it’s revealing that Trump would be concerned about his legal expenses when he claims to be a multi-billionaire. A defendant with allegedly unlimited financial resources wouldn’t pinch pennies in pursuit of an acquittal and avoidance of prison. That’s especially true if he is paying his lawyers with funds provided by the cult disciples who donate to his political action committees.

So it’s fair to speculate that Trump’s worrying about legal bills is a signal that he’s in even deeper trouble than was previously assumed. As for the compensation sought by his lawyers, they are both overpaid for the quality of counsel they provide to Trump, and underpaid for the torture they must endure from him. Which makes it difficult to calculate a fair fee structure.

Trump is Running a Mob-Style Protection Racket Whose Victims Include NATO and Taylor Swift

Psychiatric professionals have diagnosed him with a severe case of malignant narcissism and with prominent episodes of paranoia and sociopathy. These are mental maladies that are present in aspiring authoritarians and cult leaders.

Trump’s MAGA movement is a textbook example of a cult, wherein the indoctrinated followers regard the leader as infallible and near to a deity. They forgive him any and all transgressions. He can lie with impunity. He can break laws and openly violate moral standards. He can commit 91 felonies and repeatedly defame a woman that he raped. Trump has done all of this, while retaining the adoration of his glassy-eyed disciples, as well as his Republican Party parasites.

But Trump and MAGA are more than just a typical cult. Trump’s model for his operations is organized crime. He envisions himself as a mob boss whose underlings are beholden to him by a combination of favors and threats. No one is safe from his wrath, which is the eventual end of nearly every relationship he has.

On Sunday morning Trump posted a comment to his failing social media scam, Truth Social that exhibited his crime boss belligerence. It was directed at pop superstar Taylor Swift and read…

“I signed and was responsible for the Music Modernization Act for Taylor Swift and all other Musical Artists. Joe Biden didn’t do anything for Taylor, and never will. There’s no way she could endorse Crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt President in the History of our Country, and be disloyal to the man who made her so much money. Besides that, I like her boyfriend, Travis, even though he may be a Liberal, and probably can’t stand me!”

Trump thinks Taylor Swift should support him because he signed a bill (that he had nothing to do with, and probably knows nothing about) that benefited musical artists. He’s actually trying to take credit for Swift’s success that predated his occupation of the White House by a decade.

What’s more, Trump thinks that this inane argument will win him Swift’s political support. He thinks that she is as stupid as his MAGA minions, and that she has no values of her own. He would certainly ditch her, and viciously malign her, the instant she expressed any appreciation for President Biden. In Trump’s mind it’s all about money. So, like his hero, Al Capone, he demands loyalty for protection.

That was not the only recent example of Trump’s protection racketeering. He pulled the same move on America’s NATO allies. At his cult rally in South Carolina Trump told a story, that is surely pure fiction, about a leader of a “big country” who asked if the the U.S. would honor its treaty obligations in the event that Russia attacked them. Trump says that he replied…

“You didn’t pay? You’re delinquent? ‘No I would not protect you, in fact I would encourage them to do whatever the hell they want.”

This is a grotesque betrayal of American and international law. Treaties are not mere handshakes between the signatories. They are explicitly cited in the Constitution’s Article VI as the “supreme Law of the Land.” As president, Trump couldn’t unilaterly withdraw for alleged non-payment. The funds that he is referring to are not even owed to the U.S. They are goals, not requirements, for the member nations’ own internal defense budgets. And yet, wannabe Dictator Trump believes that he can demand a ransom for America’s allegiance. To Trump American honor is for sale like any other commodity.

However, when Trump says that he would “encourage” Russia to attack our allies he is going even further into the realm of overt treason, as defined by Article III of the Constitution that refers to giving “aid and comfort” to our enemies. That couldn’t be more submissive to the will of Vladimir Putin than if Trump planted a big, wet kiss on his – let’s say mouth.

You know Trump is serious about this extortion scheme because that is precisely the position he’s taken on Russia’s invasion of – and continued slaughter in – Ukraine. It’s also similar to the threats he imposed on state election officials in Georgia and elsewhere to get them to falsify election results. He also tried to extort Ukrainian President Zelenskyy to pressure him to dig up dirt on Biden. Trump even threatened the Republican National Committee in order to divert donations to himself rather than the party.

The pattern you see developing here is not coincidence. It is representative of Trump’s transactional and tyrannical personality. And if he were to return to the White House he would sell the country to the highest bidder without blinking twice. We must never allow that to happen.

Fox News ‘Doctor’ Makes Bogus Diagnosis of Biden that Fits Trump’s Cognitive Disorder Way Better

The release of special counsel Robert Hur’s report on the documents stored by President Biden has made the top of the news this week for all the wrong reasons. What should have been a story about Biden being fully exonerated for any wrongdoing, was hijacked by wholly inappropriate assessments of his mental acuity.

In a sane world the exoneration of Biden would be the lead story on every newscast. But Hur’s insertion of irrelevant opinions about Biden’s cognitive functioning – which Hur is utterly unqualified to assess – wound up stealing the show. That makes this a failure on the part of the media as well as the special counsel. Which is nothing new, as demonstrated by the reporting on Biden’s recent economic successes.

The Hur report not only concluded that no charges be filed against Biden, it also noted the stark differences between Biden’s actions and those of Donald Trump, who is currently facing 91 felony charges. Hur wrote that…

“Most notably, after being given multiple chances to return classified documents and avoid prosecution, Mr. Trump allegedly did the opposite. According to the indictment, he not only refused to return documents for many months, he also obstructed justice by enlisting others to destroy evidence and then lie about it. In contrast, Mr. Biden turned in classified documents to the National Archives, the Department of Justice, consented to a search of multiple locations, including his homes and sat for a voluntary interview, and in other ways cooperated with the investigation.”

However, those facts seemed to get short shrift in favor of more salacious, tabloid style, pseudo-journalism. And at the forefront of that wretched reportage was, of course, Fox News. The network that serves as the Ministry of Propaganda for Trump and his MAGA Republicans invited Dr. Nicole Saphier to comment on the Hur report and Biden’s response to it. Note that Saphier is a radiologist with no credentials in psychology or politics. But that didn’t stop her from making a remote diagnosis…

“Actually, the way that [Biden] came out and was attacking [Fox’s White House correspondent] Peter Doocy and others, that actually goes in line with maybe he is having some sort of cognitive decline.’

First of all, Biden didn’t “attack” Doocy. To the contrary, he joked with him before explaining why he disagreed with the typically loaded question that Doocy had asked. Biden has cordial relationships with everyone in the press corps, and often needles them light-heartedly.

More to the point, Saphier’s assertion that a display of anger is evidence of “some sort of cognitive decline,” is not only way off target with regard to Biden, but is actually much more descriptive of Trump. After all, it is Trump who maligns the media as “enemy of the people.” And it is Trump who viciously attacks reporters and news outlets at every opportunity. for instance…

That’s just a few of the insults that Trump has thrown at reporters in the midst of his temper tantrums. So if Saphier thinks that Biden’s mild and cordial tone is evidence of cognitive decline, what must she think of Trump’s raving? And if she needs any further proof of Trump’s cognitive collapse, she might want to take a look at this…
