Fox News Hack Tells ‘Legacy Media’ to ‘Simply Repeat, Retweet’ Whatever Dear Leader Trump Says

Is there anyone left in America who is not convinced that Fox News is a shameless disseminator of disinformation in the service of Donald Trump and his ultra right-wing MAGA cult? If so, the network itself has helpfully provided an argument that ought to seal the deal.

Trump himself has provided the best evidence that Fox News is his Ministry of Propaganda. He will appear almost nowhere else on television. The only reason he gave an interview prior to the Super Bowl was because the game and the interview were being broadcast on Fox. What’s more, much of his Cabinet and White House staff (19 so far) were recruited from Fox News.

On Monday morning the dedicated Fox News Trump-fluffers on “Outnumbered” engaged in their routine morning worship ritual wherein they fawn over their idol and endeavor to reconstruct reality in a way that makes the convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, and aspiring anti-democracy authoritarian look palatable to his gullible cult followers. To that end, co host Emily Compagno launched into a screed castigating the free press and offering her prescription for how the media ought to cover Trump…

“The fact that the media can’t keep up, A) doesn’t matter because we’re not looking to them for the news anyway. And B) guess what president Trump is doing? His office of comms is directly emailing, putting out on Truth Social, putting on the website, every day, all day, exactly what they are doing. So all you have to do, legacy media, is simply repeat, retweet, repost, and that is the news, and that is the facts.”

See? All the media has to do is to mindlessly regurgitate Trump’s divine and infallible utterances, and then take the rest of the day off. What could be easier? According to Compagno, whatever Trump says “is the news and that is the facts.” No need to argue or research or seek any other opinion. Just shut up and sing along with the Trump hymnal.

Never mind that Trump has actually been documented as the most dishonest occupant of the White House ever. He lies virtually every time he opens his mouth. He even continues to lie after he’s been shown that what he said is a lie.

Compagno, however, characterizes Trump’s fountain of falsehoods as his attempts to provide access and transparency. But putting out emails that are demonstrably false, and babbling on social media “every day, all day,” is not how you keep people apprised of what you’re doing. Particularly if what you’re putting out is pure bullpucky. To the contrary, that’s how you deceive simpletons who want to be misled.

It’s also how you steamroll the press to keep them from getting substantive answers to critical questions. That’s what Compagno was referring to when she said that “the media can’t keep up.” It’s Trump’s way of “flooding the zone with bullshit” (as his partner in crime Steve Bannon says) as a deflection tactic.

So while Trump is yammering about renaming the Gulf of Mexico, or banning paper straws, he is also advancing his agenda to cut taxes for the rich (paid for by cutting Social Security and Medicare), curtailing Constitutional rights, and assuming tyrannical control over the government.

Finally, it’s telling that Compagno admits that “we’re not looking to them for the news anyway.” Of course not. Why would the leading distorter of news look to actual journalists for news when they are busy making it up themselves? Or more accurately according to her own admission, transcribing it from their messiah.

The White House team that Trump has been assembling is one that is familiar to observant Trump watchers. It is comprised mostly of faithful followers and sycophants whose loyalty is reserved solely for Trump, rather than the Constitution or any other charter of laws.

After recruiting at least eighteen Cabinet and White House staffers from his Ministry of Propaganda (aka Fox News), Trump has returned the favor by sending one of his own brood back to Fox News. As reported by The Wrap, Trump’s daughter-in-lawlessness, Lara Trump, will soon debut her new show – “My View with Lara Trump” – on the ultra-MAGA network…

“Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of Donald Trump, will host a weekend show on Fox News, marking the first time a close family relative of a sitting U.S. President has done so. A former co-chair of the Republican Party, Lara Trump will launch the new weekend show on Fox News on Feb. 22, the network confirmed to TheWrap. […]

“‘I’m thrilled to bring my voice back to Fox News, talk directly with the American people and highlight what makes this country so great,’ Lara Trump said in the network’s statement. ‘As I cover the success of The Golden Age of America, I look forward to where this time will lead our country and where this opportunity will lead me in the future.'”

Lara Trump has surely benefited from her wedded relationship to the Trump klan. She has previously been employed by Fox as a contributor; she was installed to head the Republican National Committee; she got to perform some cringeworthy musical numbers; and now she’s being given an even higher profile platform on Fox as the star of her own program.

This is indeed unprecedented. Imagine how the MAGA cult would respond if Hunter Biden were given his own show on MSNBC. As Lara joins what Trump calls “the enemy of the people,” her hosting duties will obviously be confined to parroting the lies of her Sugar-Daddy-in-Law, Donald. She even admits as much in her statement above saying that she is only there to “cover the success of The Golden Age of America.”

In other words, Lara will ignore all of the far more numerous and horrific failures that Trump will – and has already – inflicted on the American people. Suffice to say that she will never report on Trump’s offenses against democracy and the government institutions that support it, such as…

Add to that Trump’s recent imposition of inflationary tariffs on Mexico, Canada, and China, and his latest idiocy, the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from Gaza, which the U.S. would then take ownership of. What could possibly go wrong with that?

Rupert Murdoch Slinks Into the Oval Office to Take His Punishment for Criticizing Trump

Trump’s campaign of contempt for the Constitution includes his illegal federal spending freeze that starves critical services of necessary funding; his wholesale termination of prosecutors and FBI agents who worked on the January 6th Capitol attack and Trump-related investigations; his storming of independent government agencies that warehouse confidential data about every citizen; his pardons for January 6th rioters who assaulted police officers; his threats of tariffs and invasions and annexations of American allies; and so much more…

In addition to that abridged account of Trump’s official atrocities, he has waged a war against the media that he refers to in Stalinist terms as “the enemy of the people.” However, his massive yet fragile ego compels him to cling to the attention he garners from the press even while he is disparaging it in the most vile manner.

On Monday morning Trump staged another of his reality TV-style photo-ops contrived solely to venerate himself. The affair was typical in that respect, although there was a curious detail that nearly went unnoticed. Seated with Trump in the Oval Office was Rupert Murdoch, the owner of Fox News, the Wall Street Journal, and a variety of other extremist right-wing media.

The reason for Murdoch’s presence at this publicity stunt was not revealed, although it is known that he met privately with Trump beforehand. However, when reporters were permitted to ask questions, one of them sought to learn whether Trump’s agreement with Mexico to pause his threatened tariffs was a response to the stock market’s precipitous decline following the announcement of his trade war…

Reporter: Was that partially related to the market reaction and a criticism from Mr. Murdoch’s own newspaper? He called it the “Dumbest Trade War [in History]”
Trump: I’m going to have to talk to him. I’ve been right over the Wall Street Journal many times. I don’t agree with him on some things.

First of all, the alleged agreement that Trump claims got Mexico to deploy 10,000 troops to the U.S. Mexico border, is likely as real as a diploma from Trump University. Trump bragged about having secured the same deal in 2019. And Biden actually did negotiate such a deal in 2021, without making hostile and unproductive threats against a friendly neighbor.

As to the matter of the Wall Street Journal article, Trump’s response was a rather jovial dismissal that didn’t much ruffle the feathers of Murdoch, who was sitting a few feet away. That’s a stark contrast from Trump’s comments the day before, when he posted on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, that…

“Anybody that’s against Tariffs, including the Fake News Wall Street Journal, and Hedge Funds, is only against them because these people or entities are controlled by China, or other foreign or domestic companies.”

So yesterday Murdoch was “controlled by China,” and he was a purveyor of “Fake News.” What changed in the few hours since then that softened Trump’s opinion of Murdoch to one of a mere disagreement? Did Trump threaten him with a lawsuit for publishing the truth about Trump?

Is this just another example of the mainstream media capitulating to Trump out of cowardice and fear? Is Murdoch following in the footsteps of ABC News, who settled a meritless lawsuit by agreeing to contribute $15 million to Trump’s presidential library? Or the similar settlement by META (Facebook’s owner) for $25 million? Or what looks to be the makings of another similar settlement of another equally frivolous lawsuit against CBS News’s 60 Minutes?

Two years ago Trump sued CNN for defamation. CNN fought the suit and it was eventually thrown out of court because truth is not defamation. But more recently CNN also kowtowed to Trump by parting ways with one of their most honest journalists, Jim Acosta, who wasn’t afraid to criticize Trump. And unfortunately, it looks like the media isn’t heeding Acosta, who offered his colleagues some sage advice in his final segment on CNN saying “Don’t give in to the lies. Don’t give in to the fear. Hold on to the truth and to hope,” and warning that “It is never a good time to bow down to a tyrant.” Sadly, many in the media seem determined to learn this lesson the hard way.

Trump Kicks Reporters Out of Pentagon Offices, Replaces Them with MAGA Media Mouthpieces

Trump spends most of his time disparaging American institutions and the patriots who serve them. He despises the justice system, the military, free enterprise, academia, science, and even unbiased practices of faith. But perhaps the liberties that he is most averse to are those specifically cited in the First Amendment that protect freedom of the press. He is laser focused on turning the whole of government into a propaganda factory to attack his foes and exalt himself.

On Friday Trump issued a new decree to banish several media organizations from offices that they have occupied in the Pentagon for decades. The Department of Defense provided the office space to facilitate access for journalists to the stewards of the nation’s military. However, the message sent by Trump’s DoD is an unmistakable threat to press freedom, and an embrace of shameless propaganda. NBC News, one of the news outlets ousted reports that…

“NBC News, The New York Times, NPR and Politico must vacate their office spaces in two weeks for other news organizations — including at least one that did not request to be added.”

[And that…]

“The new outlets rotating in are One America News Network — which will take NBC News’s spot — the New York Post, Breitbart News Network and HuffPost.”

Needless to say, the Trump-fluffing One America News, Rupert Murdoch’s New York Post, and MAGA’s own Breitbart News, are not exactly paragons of journalistic integrity. But that’s who is moving into the office space previously reserved for more mainstream media sources that, even with their own imperfect records, are at least not brazenly sycophantic toadies who exist only to kiss Trump’s…let’s say ring. The NBC report added that the Pentagon…

“…did not include further details about the process of the new ‘rotation program,’ including how officials chose which outlets needed to vacate office space first, how the new outlets were chosen and which are next.”

Based on the disreputable outlets that are moving in, we hardly need much elaboration as to how they were chosen. And this is one of the first command decisions of Trump’s new Defense Secretary, Pete Hegseth, whose confirmation squeaked by in the Senate, despite his history of abusing women and alcohol, and his woeful lack of relevant experience.

This assault on freedom of the press is consistent with Trump’s long held belief that the media is “the enemy of people.” However, it is not the only assault he has made targeting a variety of American liberties. In the short time since he has reoccupied the White House, Trump has…

Trump’s Press Secretary Stumped When Asked If It’s Safe to Fly – By Peter Doocy of Fox News

Within hours of the news that an American Airlines jet had collided with a military Blackhawk helicopter and crashed, killing everyone aboard both aircraft, Donald Trump had already drawn his conclusions as to the cause. He surmised that the cause of the tragedy was hiring practices that promoted diversity, equity, and Inclusion (DEI). He followed that up by blaming Presidents Obama and Biden.

Never mind that Trump had no evidence whatsoever that his racist conclusions had any merit, or even a remote relationship with reality. He neglected expressions of concern or condolences in order to advance his agenda of noxious bigotry, and to exploit the tragedy to attack his political foes. And of course, that narrative was faithfully supported by his obedient politburo chief, Karoline Leavitt, who has been busy clearing press credentials for devoted MAGA cultists.

On Friday morning, the White House press briefing took a bizarre turn when Peter Doocy of Fox News rose to ask Leavitt a question about the safety of air travel in America. He made an uncharacteristically insightful point about the consequences of Trump’s drumbeating of disparagement toward employees in the aviation sector that he regards as being too dark skinned, feminine, or otherwise representative of the diversity of the nation.

Doocy: If president Trump is telling us that air traffic control towers are staffed with unqualified controllers, DEI hires who never should have been brought on, then it’s not safe to fly commercially, is it?
Leavitt: The president was asked and answered this yesterday, and he believes that it is still indeed safe and Americans should feel safe traveling our skies. With that said, two things can be true at the same time. And we certainly have seen the deterioration of federal hiring standards at the Federal Aviation Administration. And the president wants to increase those standards.

Doocy’s question staggered Leavitt. It makes sense to reason that aviation safety is at risk if the people responsible for it are incompetent and/or unqualified, as Trump insists. And anyone who accepts Trump’s assessment should keep their feet firmly planted on the ground, rather than put their lives in the hands of freeloaders who shouldn’t have been hired. Right?

Well, according to Leavitt, the answer is more complex. She argues that “two things can be true at the same time.” In her view, the pilots, air traffic controllers, and other aviation staff can be inferior clods who, nevertheless, are still perfectly able to insure the safety of American travelers. Except for the times that they cause jetliners to crash into the Potomac. Leavitt elaborated on her duplicity theory saying that…

“When you’re flying with your loved ones, do you pray that your airplane lands safely and gets you to your destination or do you pray that the pilot has a certain skin color? I think we all know the answer.”

The choices Leavitt offers here are absurd in the extreme. Obviously every air passenger wants to land safely. But nobody “prays” that “the pilot has a certain skin color.” Well, except for racist Trump cultists and MAGA disciples who will only approve of white pilots. For instance, Trump flunky Charlie Kirk actually said “I’m sorry. If I see a Black pilot, I’m going to be like, ‘Boy, I hope he’s qualified.'”

Trump’s obsession with casting blame on Blacks, women, Democrats, and others for whom he has a visceral, inbred hatred, is emblematic of his rancid divisiveness. And in the furtherance of his prejudices, he couldn’t care less about whether or not what he’s saying about DEI true. And as PolitiFact affirms, it isn’t. But that won’t stop him. He won’t stop lying because he’s pathologically incapable of it. What’s more, he knows that his cult followers not only accept it, they love it.

The last two names on that list were just added by Trump this week. In his announcement for Bruce, Trump cited as her “qualifications” that she was a political analyst who “understood the power and importance of ‘MAGA’ early on,” and “saw the lies and fraud of the Radical Left.” Which are not exactly the sort of skills sought for a competent and fair person to communicate with the press.

Trump’s announcement for Ortagus was even more outlandish. It read more like a reprimand and a warning for a poorly performing employee. He said that “Early on Morgan fought me for three years, but hopefully has learned her lesson. These things usually don’t work out.” Oh great. So let’s put her in charge of something inconsequential, like Middle East Peace operations.

In neither of Trump’s announcements did he bother to mention that both of these nominees were contributors on Fox News. Either he’s deliberately hiding that information, or he regards it as unfavorable. He does, after all, have an ongoing love/hate relationship with Fox News.

In addition to these announcements on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, Trump responded to to the news that he will sentenced next week for his 34 felony convictions in the New York “Hush Money” case. Trump posted four unbearably long, unreadable, and lie-riddled rants whining about the whole of America’s justice system, and specifically President Biden, and the judges, prosecutors, and victims involved in his felonious crime sprees. They are too interminably long and deranged to make anyone else suffer through, but here are a few annotated excerpts…

Trump: “Every Legal Scholar and Pundit…have unequivocally stated that the Manhattan D.A.’s Witch Hunt is a nonexistent case.”
Note: When Trump refers to “Every Legal Scholar” he means only those who suck up to him.

Trump: “Justice Merchan, who is a radical partisan, just issued another order that is knowingly unlawful, goes against our Constitution and, if allowed to stand, would be the end of the Presidency as we know it.”
Note: Trump being reelected with 34 felonies is “the end of the Presidency as we know it.”

Trump: “I never falsified business records. It is a fake, made up charge by a corrupt judge who is just doing the work of the Biden/Harris Injustice Department, an attack on their political opponent, ME!”
Note: The charges against Trump were not made up by the judge or Biden. They were established by a Grand Jury made up of citizens who examined the voluminous evidence against him. Then a trial jury found him guilty unanimously on all 34 counts.

Trump: “There has never been a President who was so evilly and illegally treated as I.”
Note: There has never been a president who has committed more crimes than Trump. And nothing about his prosecution was evil or illegal.

Rest assured that the Fox News faction in Trump’s administration will continue act as propagandists and apologists for Trump and his nefarious, anti-American agenda. In other words, they will continue to do exactly the same things that they’ve been doing for years on Fox News. Except now taxpayers will be footing the bill.

“With the exception of Peter Doocy, I would ban everyone from the White House press room who has been there for the past four years because they are obviously of no use to the country. They didn’t tell us the number one thing, which is that he’s not competent. Why in the world would Trump let them in? REALLY? Hewitt thinks that only the most partisan hack in the press room, Peter Doocy of Fox News, should remain there, and everyone else be cast out? That would make for a pretty dull daily press briefing with only Doocy asking questions of Trump’s predictably dishonest press secretary, Karoline Leavitt.

Although they could fill the empty seats with Trump-approved asses such as Hewitt, Joe Rogan, Steve Bannon, Tucker Carlson, Laura Loomer, Alex Jones, etc. That way they would be assured of fielding only friendly questions, to which they would still provide non-answers that were mostly lies and smears.

What’s more, Hewitt is so appalled by the media that he can’t understand how anyone “could trust anything that they say.” So his solution is to limit the media outlets to the one that was found to have lied so horribly that they were forced to pay a settlement of nearly a billion dollars.

The specific complaint that triggered Hewitt’s rant was his view that the media – except for Doocy – didn’t properly cover what he believes was President Biden’s diminished mental capacity. But even if you give him a pass on that brazenly biased perspective, he’s leaving out something that would be just as relevant. And that’s the obviously diminished mental capacity of Trump. Here’s how the Daily Show presented it by using Fox News attacks on Biden, but showing Trump video instead…

These cretins don’t have any appreciation for the traditional purpose of the Press Room, which is to provide journalists with access to the president and his staff in order to inform the public, not to become a partisan propaganda mill where only those who have sworn allegiance to Trump can participate. But that’s precisely what Hewitt wants. And it’s also what the Trump media team want. The only problem they face is that it isn’t what the American people want. But if they pursue this strategy, they will find out soon enough.

Trump’s Press Secretary Lies on Fox News that Reporters are ‘Excited that Trump Will Be Back’

As Donald Trump assembles his team for the reprise of his occupation of the White House, he is making it crystal clear that there is only one unnegotiable prerequisite for service in his administration: Unflinching fealty to Trump. Above and beyond everything else, the malignant Narcissist-in-Chief demands absolute adoration at all times.

Other job criteria, such as a total lack of relevant experience, and a commitment to dismantling whatever department you’re assigned to manage, are important, but have room for a small measure of flexibility. The result is that Trump’s Cabinet is going to be populated by incompetent know-nothings, who worship Dear Leader, and advance the interests of right-wing extremists and elitists.

An outstanding demonstration of this perverse tilt of the political landscape occurred Thursday on Fox News. Trump’s press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, visited the MAGA Ministry of Propaganda where she offered a uniquely demented opinion about the state of the media…

“If you talk to reporters off the record they will tell you they are excited that Trump will be back in the Oval Office because they know how much access they had to him and his press secretaries in his first term.”

WHUT? First of all, the likelihood that Leavitt got off the record expressions of “excitement” from reporters gushing over the prospect of Trump’s return is about as realistic as Trump’s hysterical claims that “big, strong. men with tears in their eyes” are constantly flocking to him to express their undying gratitude and devotion.

Furthermore, Leavitt’s assertion that reporters recalled Trump’s previous playacting as president as a time when they had extraordinary access to him and his press office is laughable. In fact, Trump had virtually discontinued the routine daily press briefings that were held by the press secretaries of all other modern day presidents. There times when Trump’s White House didn’t have a press briefing for months on end. And when he addressed reporters it was often impromptu gaggles next to a waiting helicopter, where he hurled lies and insults without actually answering any questions.

What’s more, there are some disturbing reasons why reporters are actually worried about the next Trump term. Throughout his campaign this year he has made overt threats aimed at the media that he regularly refers to in Stalinist terms as “the enemy of the people.” He has proposed replacing credible journalists in the White House Press Room with screwballs, conspiracy crackpots, and fawning sycophants and MAGA trolls, like Joe Rogan and Tucker Carlson.

Even worse, Trump’s nominee to be Director of the FBI, Kash Patel, recently threatened the press, saying that “We’re going to come after the people in the media who lied about American citizens who helped Joe Biden rig presidential elections. We’re going to come after you.”

You really have to wonder who the reporters are that Leavitt says “are excited that Trump will be back in the Oval Office”? The only plausible people who would say that are folks like Steve Bannon, or Megyn Kelly, or maybe the alleged drug-addled sex trafficker, Matt Gaetz, who was recently dumped as Trump’s nominee to be Attorney General, but who is now scheduled to host a primetime show on the piddling, Trump-fluffing, One America News.

So it doesn’t seem like the press corps is really all that excited by Trump’s return. More likely, they are nervous and preparing for a hostile relationship with the White House for the next four years. However, if nothing else, Leavitt is doing precisely the sort of job that Trump wants her to do. And she is proving her bona fides as Trump-worthy disseminator of dishonesty and lies.

Matt Gaetz

Leading the pack of failed nominees was Trump’s first choice for Attorney General, former representative Matt Gaetz. He withdrew himself from consideration after it is was clear that he could not get enough votes from his fellow MAGA Republicans to be confirmed. Even that crowd briefly exhibited a measure of integrity when they were faced with approving someone who was credibly accused of sex trafficking a minor and indulging in illicit drug use. And he isn’t the only one with such a repulsive resume…

After bombing out as a potential AG, Gaetz promised that he was “still gonna be in the fight, but its gonna be from a new perch.” And as it turns out, he is indeed going to be out on a limb next year with the premiere of his new primetime TV program on the Trump-fluffing One America News (OAN) network. CNN made the announcement of Gaetz’s new hosting gig Tuesday morning. OAN confirmed it shortly after saying that…

“One America News Network, (‘OAN’) announced today that powerhouse Matt Gaetz will be joining OAN’s prime-time lineup in January. […] Matt is a remarkable talent and a principled leader. His insider access to America’s top policymakers and unwavering dedication to America-first values will bring unparalleled insight and exclusive content to OAN viewers.”

That’s an especially PR-heavy press release. Gaetz can hardly be described as a “powerhouse,” a “talent,” or a “principled leader,” by anyone who is able to actually define those words. And his alleged “access to America’s top policymakers” is notably suspect since almost all of his former congressional colleagues openly hate his guts.

Landing at OAN has to be something of a disappointment for Gaetz. He was obviously rejected by Fox News and Newsmax, both of which he has previously lobbied for a job. Consequently, this should raise the profile of OAN as the network that employs sex traffickers who committed statutory rape and bragged about using illegal drugs. And that profile boost will only be enhanced if the House Ethics Committee’s probe into the allegations against Gaetz are ever officially released or leaked.

OAN’s reputation as a Trump propaganda disseminator has been affirmed by their settlement of a defamation lawsuit brought by election workers and Smartmatic Voting Systems following the network’s deliberately dishonest 2020 election coverage.

Furthermore, there has been an incestuous relationship between the network and Trump World. For instance, Natalie Harp, a current starstruck Trump flunky, is a former OAN host who was known for writing fawning letters to Trump, saying such adoring thinks as “You are all that matters to me.” And Christina Bobb is a former OAN correspondent and an attorney who worked Trump. She was the member of Trump’s legal team who signed off on the confirmation to the FBI that Trump had returned all of the classified documents that he had stolen and stored at Mar-a-Lago. Which, of course, was not true.

For his part, Gaetz is bursting with pride for his new job. Or at least that’s what he says. But it’s hard to believe that he’s all that excited about being hired by D-List network with a miniscule audience after he resigned his seat in congress and was trashed as the AG nominee by his BFF Trump.

That mission has been unencumbered by the principles of ethical journalism or honesty. The network’s objective of promoting arch-conservativism on behalf of the wealthy and corporations has been paramount in their “reporting” at all times.

With the emergence of Donald Trump and the cult that has arisen around him, Fox News has managed to do what many may have thought impossible. They got even worse. Their devotional embrace of Trump has exceeded the adulation of history’s most notorious cult leaders. Fox News has helped Trump to prove that he was right when he said that he could “shoot someone on 5th Avenue” without losing any support. And as a result of Fox’s reverential propaganda, Trump’s clan regards him as their only source of truth.

This week Fox News has outdone itself. On Thursday their Fox Nation streaming network aired an awards ceremony wherein Trump was declared the “Patriot of the Year.” To be clear, that’s a choice that is honoring a convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, draft dodger, who incited a coup, and said he would terminate the Constitution, as the most patriotic person in America. You have to wonder who the runner-ups were. Steve Bannon? Vladimir Putin? Hannibal Lector?

This award could be in appreciation of Trump’s nominees to his still forming administration. At least 14 of them (so far) are Fox News hosts, contributors, or frequent guests. Among these unqualified, morally bankrupt appointments is his embattled nominee for Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth.

As if that weren’t enough, Fox News also invited Melania Trump on to chat with the “Curvy Couch” potatoes of Fox and Friends (Hegseth’s old haunt). That segment actually turned out to be their version of a right-wing Home Shopping Network where viewers could purchase grossly overpriced trinkets designed by Melania herself. Who wouldn’t want a $90.00 Christmas tree ornament by the woman who once said “Who gives a f**k about Christmas stuff?”

This combination of Trump getting a made up award by his Fox News disciples, and giving valuable airtime to Melania to cash in on the rubes who watch Fox, is just the beginning of the media supplication to Dear Leader Trump and his attempt to transform the United States into an authoritarian dystopia. And if you think it’s bad now, just wait. Or better yet, don’t wait – RESIST! If there is one thing that Trump has shown us throughout his public life, it’s that he is incompetent and defeatable. LFG!
