What’s Keeping Snowflake Trump Awake at Night? Springsteen, Beyoncé, and Oprah, Oh My!

Poor crybaby Donald Trump is spending sleepless nights massaging his wounded ego that can’t handle the fact that he is unloved by America’s most admired and talented celebrities. He is suffering terribly with having to console himself with losers like Kid Rock and Roseanne Barr. What a pity.

Donald Trump, Snowflakes

In the deepest recesses of his lonely nights, Trump is still sobbing into his MyPillow over the results of the 2024 election that he waged against Kamala Harris. Even though he won (by a historically small margin), he is inconsolable that he failed to get every vote, or to avoid any criticism. He is still whining over contrived complaints that no one buys except his cult devotees.

So early on Monday morning, Trump was awake and posting pathetic comments on his failing Twitter rip off, Truth Social. At 1:34 AM Trump lashed out at some of the beloved Americans that had the audacity to reject him and endorse Kamala Harris. He bleated that

“HOW MUCH DID KAMALA HARRIS PAY BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN FOR HIS POOR PERFORMANCE DURING HER CAMPAIGN FOR PRESIDENT? WHY DID HE ACCEPT THAT MONEY IF HE IS SUCH A FAN OF HERS? ISN’T THAT A MAJOR AND ILLEGAL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION? WHAT ABOUT BEYONCÉ? …AND HOW MUCH WENT TO OPRAH, AND BONO???”

We now interrupt this yowling to state for the record that none of what Trump is grousing about is true. PolitiFact and others researched these baseless allegations last October when Trump first raised them about Beyoncé and “found no credible reporting that Beyoncé was paid for her endorsement or comments at the rally.”

Trump has offered no new evidence of any payments since then for Beyoncé, or Springsteen, or Oprah, or Bono. The only thing he’s offered is his relentless sniveling. And on the basis of that he is threatening to have Harris and/or the celebrities who supported her, investigated for some unspecified crime…

“I am going to call for a major investigation into this matter. Candidates aren’t allowed to pay for ENDORSEMENTS, which is what Kamala did, under the guise of paying for entertainment. In addition, this was a very expensive and desperate effort to artificially build up her sparse crowds. IT’S NOT LEGAL! For these unpatriotic ‘entertainers,’ this was just a CORRUPT & UNLAWFUL way to capitalize on a broken system.”

Once again, Trump is trafficking in imaginary improprieties. Harris didn’t pay for endorsements or for entertainment. She did pay for certain production costs that the law stipulates must be paid for. Those payments went to the contractors who did the production work, not the artists. But Trump still wasn’t satisfied. At 9:11 AM the same morning he posted another tantrum saying that…

“According to news reports, Beyoncé was paid $11,000,000 to walk onto a stage, quickly ENDORSE KAMALA, and walk off to loud booing for never having performed, NOT EVEN ONE SONG! Remember, the Democrats and Kamala illegally paid her millions of Dollars for doing nothing other than giving Kamala a full throated ENDORSEMENT. THIS IS AN ILLEGAL ELECTION SCAM AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL! IT IS AN ILLEGAL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION! BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, OPRAH, BONO AND, PERHAPS, MANY OTHERS, HAVE A LOT OF EXPLAINING TO DO!!!”

Naturally, Trump didn’t bother to post links to any of the alleged “news reports” that he said reported that “Beyoncé was paid $11,000,000.” But in his defense, he had a good reason for not posting those links. They don’t exist. There is likewise no video of anyone booing Beyoncé, so he didn’t post that either. But he did repeat his preposterous charge that something Harris did was “AN ILLEGAL ELECTION SCAM AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL!”

Trump has always been fond of accusing others of violating the law. It’s called projection. He is the only president who has earned 34 felony convictions. And he is the candidate who had billionaires like Elon Musk contributing millions of dollars to his campaign. And he is the one who launched a meme coin that could serve as a virtual depository for untraceable bribes from conflicted persons, including foreign operatives.

Unfortunately, Trump is also the one who yells the loudest to deflect from the criminal activities that he regularly engages in. And that deflection also draws attention away from his abhorrent policies, such as deporting migrants to foreign gulags without due process, shutting down critical government agencies that save lives in the U.S. and internationally, cutting programs that Americans rely on like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, and trashing the Constitution’s protections for the free press.

But at least he’s on top of the scandalous affairs of which pop stars are backing which politicians. Someone else will take of the wars in Ukraine and Gaza, and the coming recession. Trump has his tiny hands full with fantasies about Springsteen and Beyoncé.

‘We’ve Got Hulk Hogan’ – GOP Pundit’s Consolation After Bruce Springsteen Endorses Kamala Harris

The Republican Party has always been a morass of mendacity and hypocrisy. But it has gotten immeasurably worse since Donald Trump took it over, making it a cult of personality disorders, and a haven for greedy grifters, who appeal to the lowest uncommon deplorable.

Kamala Harris, Donald Trump baby

The Trump cult is propped up by the MAGA minions who fluff him in the media. Their purposeful deceptions make them even more disgraceful than the willfully ignorant, glassy-eyed disciples who habitually attend Trump rallies. And yet, Trump engages in pure projection to malign the rational Americans who prefer the democracy championed by Kamala Harris to the tyranny aspired to by Trump.

SEE THIS: ATTN: Trump Says Pretty Much Everyone Who Supports Kamala Harris Must Have Their Heads Examined

On Thursday night CNN’s Republican pundit, Scott Jennings, addressed the recent endorsement of Kamala Harris by rock superstar, Bruce Springsteen. Jennings attempted desperately to assuage his fears by trying to convince himself that Trump has the upper hand with more admired and influential celebrity supporters…

“I can’t think of anything I care about less than some moron celebrity…we’ve got Hulk Hogan, and that’s all I need.” […] Jennings said he wants to see “directionally a center right government, and I don’t give a crap what some celebrity thinks about it.”

Seriously? Jennings thinks that Springsteen – an artist with a catalog of brilliant compositions that millions relate to – is a “moron celebrity,” but that Hulk Hogan – a jock who performed in phony wrestling matches – is some sort of Rhodes Scholar? Does Jennings really believe that an endorsement by the “The Hulkster” is as valuable as one by “The Boss”?

Apparently the answer to that question is a resounding, “NO!” Because immediately after bragging about Hogan, Jennings admits that “I don’t give a crap what some celebrity thinks about it.” So that must include Hogan, right?

Republicans love to pretend that they aren’t interested in celebrity endorsements. So you have to wonder why they keep promoting them from losers like Kid Rock, Scott Baio, and Roseanne Barr. It’s a contest that they can’t hope to win when Harris has supporters like Taylor Swift, George Clooney, John Legend, and Oprah.

For the record, Springsteen’s endorsement was an eloquent and moving expression of why Harris is fundamentally superior to Trump. He touches on both Trump’s fatal flaws and Harris’ distinguished assets…

“Donald Trump is the most dangerous candidate for president in my lifetime. His disdain for the sanctity of our Constitution, the sanctity of democracy, the sanctity of the rule of law, and the sanctity of the peaceful transfer of power should disqualify him from the office of president ever again. He doesn’t understand the meaning of this country, its history, or what it means to be deeply American.”

Celebrity endorsements, of course, should not be used to determine how to vote for any candidate. But they can be good reference points by creative people who have a demonstrated ability to connect with others. Their insights are appreciated specifically because they are adept at envisioning and expressing what many others see and feel. Their opinions often have just as much merit as the paid partisan “experts” who populate news programs. And in the case of Jennings, infinitely more merit.

Tom Morello Has A Message For Barack Obama

Musician/Activist Tom Morello (formerly of Rage Against the Machine) appeared on Real Time with Bill Maher last night with a pointed message for President Obama:

“Much like the President, I am half Kenyan. Like the President, I’m a Harvard graduate. Like the President, I’m from Illinois. And, like the President, I’ve been on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine. I got a message for him. ‘Dude, it’s time to grow a pair. A lot of people who put you in office put you in office to fight for them; to fight against the Tea Party; to fight against this bullshit in Congress; to fight against those sons of bitches who are attacking the working class and the poor in this country.’ And he hasn’t done any of it.

At the same time, I’m not waiting for him. I’m with the people in Madison. I’m with the people who are occupying Wall Street. That’s what my music’s about. When progressive, radical or even revolutionary changes happen in this country, it’s come from below. When women got the right to vote, when lunch counters were desegregated, it was people you do not read about in history books who stood up in their place and their time for what they believe.”

Well said, Tom. And just to prove that this inspirational people’s advocate is also a radical shredder, listen to this rendition of “The Ghost of Tom Joad” with Bruce Springsteen:

[Update: 10/16/11] Tom showed up at OccupyWallStreet and answered a reporter’s question challenging his role as a political spokesman saying…

Tom Morello: When you pick up a guitar you don’t put down your first amendment rights. And I don’t think that you have to be a Harvard graduate in political science to comment on political matters. But I am a Harvard graduate in political science.”
