Trump Won’t Take Daily Intel Briefings, So His DNI Wants to Hire Fox News Producers to Make Them

One of the most troubling aspects of Donald Trump’s work ethic (or lack thereof) is his notoriously neglectful attitude toward doing any actual work. His office hours are reportedly limited due to what his aides refer to as executive time (aka napping, eating, watching Fox News, and rage-posting insults and self-exalting nonsense on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social).

Donald Trump, Fox News, White House

Trump refuses to educate himself on critical issues. He recklessly disseminates provably false information because he’s too lazy and/or dishonest to learn the truth. And he spends more time on the golf course, schmoozing at Mar-a-Lago, and pitching his cheesy merch, stocks, and cryptocurrencies that have lost gullible rubes billions of dollars, than he does engaged in the business of governing or anything that’s relevant to advancing the interests of the American people.

SEE THIS: PINO TRUMP: A President-In-Name-Only Who Spends More Time on TV and Golfing than Presidenting

A new report by NBC News reveals that Trump has not been paying attention to the daily briefings prepared for him by his intelligence staff. In fact, according to NBC’s inside sources (as many as five of them), he rarely even attends the “President’s Daily Brief” (PDB) to get updates on national security from his utterly unqualified Director of National Intelligence (DNI), Tulsi Gabbard. According to NBC News

“Trump’s intelligence chief is exploring ways to revamp his routine intelligence briefing in order to build his trust in the material and make it more aligned with how he likes to consume information, according to five people with direct knowledge of the discussions. […]

“One idea that has been discussed is to transform the PDB so it mirrors a Fox News broadcast, according to four of the people with direct knowledge of the discussions. Under that concept as it has been discussed, the national intelligence director’s office could hire a Fox News producer to produce it and one of the network’s personalities to present it”

Could anything be a more perfect representation of Trump’s utter lack of concern for the gravity of America’s place in a dangerous world? He simply couldn’t care less. And his capacity to understand what’s going on is below that of a remedial elementary schooler. Consequently, his own staff believes that he requires a special education program modeled after the lowest IQ cable news network, Fox News.

However, it’s curious that Gabbard would need to hire Fox News producers and presenters to act out Trump’s briefings when the Trump administration already has so many former Fox News employees (including Gabbard) working in the White House right now.

FOR INSTANCE: Trump’s Nominees Are Largely Fox News Alum, Mar-a-Lago Patrons, and Billionaires

Perhaps Gabbard could persuade Fox News host Sean Hannity to come aboard for this project. Or maybe Jesse Watters. Or even Dear Leader’s daughter-in-lawlessness, Lara Trump, whose Fox News program debuted earlier this year. But then, they would all have to get security clearances to be allowed to present the top secret intelligence info to Trump. Could they even qualify? The report goes on to say that…

“According to his public schedule, since his inauguration Trump has taken the PDB 14 times, or on average less than once a week, which is less often than his recent predecessors — including himself during his first term. An analysis of their public schedules during that same timeframe — from their inauguration through May during their first year in office — shows that former President Joe Biden received 90 PDBs”

It’s clear that Trump has little interest in the important issues that have burdened other presidents. And NBC’s sources also revealed that “The problem with Trump is that he doesn’t read,” and that he has a “distrust of intelligence officials.” Many of whom he fired in the first few weeks of his second occupation of the White House. However, true to form, the DNI Press Secretary, Olivia Coleman, called NBC’s reporting “fake news.”

The fact that Trump is regarded by his own staff as too mentally deficient to grasp the complexities of national security without it being dumbed down for him in Fox News video bites, should worry the intelligence community that is still in place. And it should also worry the American people. That is, if the media does its job to inform them on an ongoing basis with the appropriate measure of urgency.

Trump’s Cabinet Spends More Time Spreading Lies on Fox News than Working for the American People

Now that Donald Trump is four months into his second occupation of the White House, it’s easy to forget that his prior experience for the job was having been a failed businessman with multiple bankruptcies who resurrected his tawdry reputation by becoming a reality TV game show host. But all that anyone needs as a reminder is a quick look at the horrible results of his self-serving agenda.

Donald Trump Fox News

Trump’s television past is evident in his governing style that consists primarily of staging photo-ops and developing melodramatic scenarios that seem more like the sort of cheesy plots of daytime soap operas than the serious work of government. Contriving conflict has always been a basic component of entertainment, and Trump has adapted it to his White House communications strategy. Even to the extreme of manufacturing hostilities with beloved celebrities.

SEE THIS: What’s Keeping Snowflake Trump Awake at Night? Springsteen, Beyoncé, and Oprah, Oh My!

Keeping with his fixation on television as a governing and propaganda tool, Trump has deployed some of his most senior staff and Cabinet officials to essentially be on TV duty every day. Which is easy for him since there are so many former Fox News folks (21 so far) in his White House. High ranking members of past administrations would be at a loss to explain how Trump’s staffers can do their jobs while preening for Fox News constantly. Trump’s defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, a former Fox News squawking head himself, even had a makeup studio built at the Pentagon for him to prepare for his TV appearances.

This week, because everything in the country is running so perfectly, Trump’s Cabinet was able to report for duty at Fox News en masse. It began with Trump’s Propaganda Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, who was on Sean Hannity’s program where she admitted that all she does every day is hate-watch other news networks. Which is something that Trump himself likes to do.

Trump's Propaganda Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, "watched CNN all day," and is doing Fox News hits all night.Because everyone in the Trump administration thinks their job is to appear on Fox News and spread bullsh*t.

News Corpse (@newscorpse.bsky.social) 2025-05-28T09:20:29.106Z

Trump’s utterly unqualified FBI director, Kash Patel, was on Fox News complaining about having to neglect the real work of the Bureau because he and his agents were too busy chasing bullsh*t “threats” triggered by an innocent meme posted by former FBI Director, Jim Comey…

“Do you know how many copycats we have had to investigate as a result of that beach side venture from the former director? Do you know how many agents I’ve had to take offline from chasing down child sex predators, fentanyl traffickers, terrorists, because everywhere across this country people are popping up on social media and think that a threat to life of the president of the United States is a joke?”

Patel’s deputy director at the FBI, former podcaster Dan Bongino, was also on Fox News whining about how hard his job is. Aside from also complaining about Comey, and confessing that he doesn’t like his new job, Bongino threw himself a pity party, kvetching about how tough it is to have a real job. Perhaps he should go back to podcasting…

“I gave up everything for this. I mean, you know, my wife is struggling and I’m not a victim. I’m not Jim Comey. Fine. I did this and I’m proud I did it. But if you think we’re there for tea and crumpets…I stare at these four walls all day in D.C. You know, by myself, divorced from my wife, not divorced, but I mean, separated. And it’s hard.”

Dan Bongino has a nice cry on Fox & Friends: "I gave up everything for this. I mean, my wife is struggling… I stare at these 4 walls all day in DC, you know, by myself, divorced from my wife. Not divorced, but I mean, separated. And it's hard." (Note that Brian Kilmeade has to encourage him lol)

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2025-05-29T15:02:17.580Z

Then there was Trump’s incompetent Transportation Secretary, Sean Duffy, who is both a former reality TV goofball, and a former Fox News hack. He was on Fox News complaining about public transportation, which is something that he is responsible for. But he thinks that only liberals want you to use it. Also…

Trump's Reality TV Transportation Secretary, Sean Duffy on Fox News: "If you want people to ride a subway, make it clean. Make it safe. It's very, very simple."Then DO IT! That's your damn job, Bozo. And, by the way, millions of people use public transportation with no problem every day.

News Corpse (@newscorpse.bsky.social) 2025-05-29T15:54:20.691Z

Joining the Trump Brigades was his Education Secretary, Linda McMahon, who has pledged to shut down the department she runs, because who needs education. She was on Fox News attacking foreign students who come to America and implying that they, and their teachers, are subversives. Because the best and brightest young people in other countries just can’t wait to get into an American university and burn it down.

That was all in just two days. When do any of these people have the time to work on anything related to their actual job titles? Although, it may actually a blessing in disguise that these phonies are so wrapped up in media appearances. The more time they spend on television, the less time they have to screw up the country.

However, it would be nice if the American people could have some faith that their public servants were actually working on their behalf. We’ll just have to wait until Trump and Company are gone for that. 8647!

WHUT? Washington Post Op-Ed Praises CNN for Being ‘Pro-Trump’ in All His ‘Fact-Deprived Glory’

The state of journalism in the era of Donald Trump has suffered an alarmingly rapid descent into submissiveness to power and capitulation to the threats of an aspiring authoritarian whose dependence on, and hostility toward, the media has long been openly and loudly expressed.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

General Donald Trump on CNN

In just the few short months of his reoccupation of the White House, Trump has demonstrated his disgraceful disregard for the Constitution’s protections of a free press by banning media outlets that have angered him (Associated Press, Reuters), dismantling independent agencies (Voice of America, Radio Free Europe), declaring critical media illegal (MSNBC, CNN), and reshaping the White House press room to align with his radical MAGA agenda.

SEE THIS: Trump Declares Himself King of the White House Press Corps, Will Now Decide Who Can Question Him

in the midst of this media dismemberment, Eric Wemple of the Washington Post (which is owned by Trump flunky Jeff Bezos) has published an article that presumes to be an objective analysis of the the left-leaning cable news network, MSNBC. But it’s headline gives away it’s inherent bias: MSNBC in five words: ‘I could not agree more’ He began the article saying that…

“Over the first 100 days of the second Trump administration, CNN has erupted in regular shoutfests over the latest Trump outrage. Fox News, too, has had its moments of internal combustion, especially on its highest-rated show, ‘The Five,’ where rotating co-host Jessica Tarlov often snipes at her conservative peers. As for MSNBC: Does anyone ever debate stuff on this network? To get closer to an answer, I decided to gulp roughly 18 hours of MSNBC programming”

So Wemple is complaining that MSNBC doesn’t have the the “shoutfests” that Fox News and CNN have. And that’s supposed to be a bad thing? He also suggests that Jessica Tarlov – one liberal against four Trump-fluffers – constitutes balance. His premise is that MSNBC is a Democratic echo chamber that features “Vast expanses of predictable programming in which people passionately agree with one another” that Trump is a bad person and president.

That, however, is a hard position to argue with. What good is there to say about a president who has crashed the economy, abandoned longtime allies, embraced totalitarian foes, fought against the interests of working class Americans, and relentlessly seeks to enrich himself and his billionaire benefactors?

In Wemple’s article he claims to have watched 18 hours straight of MSNBC. But he only posts 15 time-stamped observations of that viewing, That’s less than one per hour. And they don’t even support his premise. For instance, he claims that MSNBC is stacked with liberal hosts and guests. But he acknowledges that they have Republicans in those roles, including host Michael Steele, Susan Del Percio, Brendan Buck, and Tim Miller. He left out hosts Joe Scarborough and Nicolle Wallace.

Wemple also claimed that MSNBC doesn’t book guests who support Trump, saying that they are “opting for Republicans that give it the patina of balance, even though those voices don’t represent Trumpism.”. But he himself notes that Trump advisor Stephen Miller, GOP Rep. Victoria Spartz, and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, all appeared on the network during his 18 hour taste test. And anti-Trump Republicans are the minority who wouldn’t have a platform, but for MSNBC.

Virtually every criticism that Wemple has of MSNBC applies much more accurately to Fox News that has zero Democratic hosts. MSNBC doesn’t avoid contrarian debate. They ARE the contrarian debate. Much of the rest of the media, including WaPo, has succumbed to Trumpism. Wemple closed his hackery by saying that…

“In pre-Trump times, MSNBC’s current programming model would have been outright journalistic fraud. In Trump days, not so much — and we have daily proof over at CNN: The segments featuring that network’s Trump-supporting contributors are loud, chaotic and poisoned by frequent distortions. At least CNN viewers get to hear the pro-Trump arguments in all their fact-deprived glory, however. I lean toward the CNN model, but not enough to strain my calves.”

REALLY? Wemple leans toward CNN’s “loud, chaotic,” “poisoned,” “fact-deprived” “distortions”? And what part of that does he regard as credible journalism? He is actually advocating that news networks air noisy, blatant falsehoods as some sort of exercise in balance. He thinks that viewers will benefit from being lied to, so long as it’s done by screaming right-wingers who emulate Trump’s infantile emotional infirmity.

If Wemple wants to watch pro-wrestling style face-offs by shouting partisans, that’s up to him. But he shouldn’t push his bone-headed ideas on others, or use them as a model for the principles of professional journalism. Fox News has always been useless as a source for honest news. And CNN has recently joined them in the gutter. America doesn’t need another network that traffics in anger and lies.

Trump and Fox News Crybabies are Blowing Up a Phony Controversy Over James Comey’s 86 47 Meme

The snowflakes in MAGA World are freaking out again. This time over a contrived controversy that is rooted in their blind worship of Donald Trump, and their ignorance of the English language and cultural idioms. And naturally their Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News, is hotwired to the rapidly exploding story.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

James Comey, Donald Trump

On Thursday, Former FBI Director James Comey posted a picture of some seashells on the beach that he saw while talking a walk. They were laid out to spell the message “86 47.” and that was all it took to trigger the fragile sensitivities of the MAGI. Their short fuse quickly burned to the end as they set off some wild speculation that Comey was threatening to assassinate the president. They should probably get their new top prosecutor on this right away.

SEE THIS: The Choice of Fox News Trump-Fluffer Jeanine Pirro as Interim US Attorney May Be Illegal

The problem with the outpouring of outrage by the right is that “86” doesn’t mean to kill or otherwise physically harm anyone. According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, it means (a) to refuse to serve (a customer); (b) to eject or ban (a customer); or (c) to eject, dismiss, or remove (someone). Which are all perfectly reasonable feelings that many Americans share about Trump.

However, that didn’t stop the whiners from winding up their whimpering. For instance, Trump’s Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, went on Fox News to complain about Comey with Fox’s Senior Dumbass, Jesse Watters…

Watters: Do you believe Comey should be in jail?
Gabbard: I do. Any other person with the position of influence that he has, people who take very seriously what a guy of his stature, his experience, and what the propaganda media has built him up to be– I’m very concerned for the president’s life. We’ve already seen assassination attempts. I’m very concerned for his life and James Comey, in my view, should be held accountable and put behind bars for this.

Trump's snowflake DNI Director, Tulsi Gabbard, whines to Senior Fox News Dumbass, Jesse Watters, that James Comey should be jailed because he posted a meme saying "86 47" and thinks it's a threat to Trump. But 86 means to ban or throw out. As from a from bar. Not to kill. You big babies.

News Corpse (@newscorpse.bsky.social) 2025-05-16T10:39:11.629Z

They weren’t alone in this effort to twist Comey’s message into an unrecognizable pretzel. Trump’s FBI director, Kash Patel, weighed in saying that “We are aware” and that he was deferring to the Secret Service. Trump’s son Don Jr also commented saying that it’s “Just James Comey causally calling for my dad to be murdered. This is who the Dem-Media worships. Demented!!!!”

Who wants to tell Junior that Democrats don’t worship Comey? In fact, they hold him responsible in part for Trump’s election when he unloaded a bunch of Hillary Clinton’s emails – that later proved to have no evidence whatsoever of wrongdoing – a week before election day.

For his part, Comey responded to this media madness by saying that…

“I posted earlier a picture of some shells I saw today on a beach walk, which I assumed were a political message. I didn’t realize some folks associate those numbers with violence. It never occurred to me but I oppose violence of any kind so I took the post down.”

However, that wasn’t enough for Trump, who was determined to exploit the crackpot controversy for as much as he could get out of it. Trump whined that…

“He knew exactly what that meant. A child would know what that meant. If you were the FBI director and you don’t know what that meant – that meant assassination. And it says it loud and clear. Now, he wasn’t very competent, but he was competent enough to know what that meant. And he did it for a reason. And he was hit so hard because people like me and they like what was happening with our country. And our country has become respected again. And all this – and he’s calling for the assassination of the president.”

[Adding that] “I don’t want to take a position on it. It’s gonna be up to [Attorney General] Pam [Bondi] and all the great people. But I will say, I think it is a terrible thing. When you add his history to that, if he had a clean history, he doesn’t. He’s a dirty cop.”

Trump on Comey: "He knew exactly what that meant … it meant assassination. It says it loud and clear … he's calling for the assassination of the president … it's gonna be up to Pam … he's a dirty cop."

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2025-05-16T13:13:22.753Z

We should probably avoid taking the opinion of Trump as to what words mean. He recently claimed to have invented the word “equalize,” and has been surprised to hear the word “groceries” because it’s so old-fashioned and no one uses it anymore. Furthermore, leaving the matter to Trump sycophant Pam Bondi isn’t any different than leaving it to Trump himself.

Finally, no one should be surprised that there is a boatload of hypocrisy in all of this yammering. Trump and others on the right have been calling Democrats traitors, including Biden, Clinton, and many members of Congress and journalists. And since the penalty for treason is execution, they have been, in effect, calling for them to be killed.

What’s more, the phrase “86 46” was frequently used about Biden, but none of these cretins cared about it then. Which is further proof that all they are interested in now is making a flagrantly phony fuss for purely political purposes.

The Choice of Fox News Trump-Fluffer Jeanine Pirro as Interim US Attorney May Be Illegal

The team that Donald Trump has assembled for his second occupation of the White House is a collection of incompetent misfits who have an unprecedented measure of ignorance of, and lack of qualifications for, the jobs that they have been appointed to carry out. Most of them are committed to sabotaging and/or shuttering the departments that they were hired to lead.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Jeanine Pirro Fox News

Among the saboteurs are Trump’s Defense Secretary, Pete Hegseth, an alcoholic with no command leadership experience, who has already been caught disclosing sensitive attack plans on a commercial chat app; Trump’s Health and Human Services Secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr, an anti-vax conspiracy crackpot with a brain worm; and Trump’s Attorney General, Pam Bondi, who doesn’t believe in Due Process or other explicit protections in the Constitution. But then, why should she when her boss doesn’t?

SEE THIS: WTHF? When Asked ‘Don’t You Need to Uphold the Constitution,’ Trump Replies ‘I Don’t Know.’

Which brings us to the mysterious case of Jeanine Pirro. She is the Fox News personality that Trump has just tapped to become the interim U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia. She is a replacement for Trump’s first choice, Ed Martin, who was torpedoed by his long record of improprieties and Trump cult worship. Pirro would be the 21st Fox News alum that Trump has recruited this time around. And she would join another Trump flunky, Alina Habba, among the ranks of U.S. Attorneys.

However, there is some controversy as to whether Pirro can actually take the job. The Washington Post Editorial Board published an article that explores whether Jeanine Pirro’s Appointment as U.S. Attorney Might Not Be Legal.” The article begins by stating that…

“[S]ince Pirro left her last job as a prosecutor two decades ago, she has acted in ways that call into question whether she has the independence necessary to responsibly take on one of the most important prosecutorial jobs in the United States. What’s more, in choosing her, Trump is pushing the limits of his authority. It isn’t clear that the law allows him to name successive interim U.S. attorneys who are not confirmed by the Senate.”

What the article is referring to is the “Federal Vacancies Reform Act of 1998” that governs interim appointments in the executive branch. It states that the U.S. District Court, not the president, can appoint a new interim staffer after the term of a previous interim staffer – in this case, Martin – has expired.

In their article, the Post’s Editorial Board elaborated on certain concerns about Pirro’s proposed appointment. For instance, they noted that “Trump has long wanted to place Pirro in a high government position.” He previously tried, and failed, to give her a high post in the Justice Department under his first Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, who he later fired. He discussed making her a special counsel to conduct meritless investigations of Hillary Clinton. And he briefly considered her for Attorney General before appointing Bill Barr, who he later fired.

When all of that failed, Pirro hooked up with Fox News where she made a name for herself sucking up to Trump and disseminating his most flagrant lies. She’s been there for twenty years now and has not been practicing law at all. Which makes her the perfect Trump appointee who is lacking in any relevant experience, other than her infatuation with Trump. As reported in the Post…

“On her Fox News show, she championed Trump’s efforts to overturn his 2020 defeat. In documents obtained by Dominion Voting Systems as part of discovery in its defamation lawsuit against Fox News (which led to a $787.5 million settlement), Pirro’s executive producer at the time referred to her as a ‘reckless maniac’ during an internal argument over her pro-Trump monologues.”

This is the person that Trump believes is best qualified to lead one of the most important prosecutorial offices in America. The truth is that Trump believes Pirro is best qualified to obstruct any inquiries into activities by him and his cronies, while launching phony persecutions of his political foes. And he’s aiming to do all of that with an appointment that he may not be legally authorized to make. But Trump wouldn’t do anything illegal, would he? WOULD HE?

HUH? Fox News Makes the Most Bizarre Justification Yet for Trump Accepting a Free Jet From Qatar

The recent revelation that Donald Trump is preparing to accept a $400 million plane from Qatar to replace Air Force One has been leading the news cycle for three days now. For better or worse, it has taken precedence over his junket to the Middle East, his phony trade deals with the UK and China, his unlawful and unenforceable drug price reductions, and his efforts to defy the constitutional protection of habeas Corpus laws.

Fox News Sad

Naturally, Trump’s always predictable reaction to the torrent of criticism that he has received for his latest self-enriching enterprise has been predominantly to deny, lie, and insult his critics, whether they be Democrats, Republicans, or journalists. Especially journalists…

SEE THIS: Scaredy Trump Attacks Reporter to Dodge Questions About His $400 Million Gift Plane from Qatar

Fortunately for Trump, he will always have Fox News to carry water for him as he seeks to flood the zone with bullpucky and gaslight his gullible cult disciples. To that end, the “Curvy Couch” potatoes of Fox and Friends embarked on a path of shameless Trump-fluffing to absolve him of any guilt for eagerly grabbing the gift of a flying palace from a Middle Eastern nation with whom he is doing business. Spinning furiously, they said that…

Brian Kilmeade: The question is the optics. What does Qatar want in return for a multi billion dollar plane?
Lawrence Jones: I think we would be crazy not to accept the plane. I think people have been watching way too many spy movies. And if you think the United States government and our Defense Department is not going to strip the plane – everybody is talking about technology. Could they be spying on us? Of course. We have foreign assets that want to spy on us. But they are not going to take the plane as is. They will break it apart. They will put the necessary military assets on there. The technology is there.
Kilmeade: Flip the couches to the other side.
Jones: I think it’s a gift. I think it’s totally okay.
Ainsley Earhardt: Look, the left is going crazy about this. But they have to be careful. They are fine with Harvard getting all these gifts from these Middle Eastern countries. And Bill Ackman says “the hypocrisy is staggering. If the Pentagon took a $400 million plane from Qatar, it would rightly spark outrage over foreign influence. Yet universities pocket billions from the same regimes and get a free pass.” American universities are getting billions in gifts from foreign countries and they are okay with that. Remember Barack Obama supported Harvard for going after Trump?

Jones is parroting Trump himself who said that “It would be stupid” not to accept the plane. His reasoning rested solely on the claim that it’s free. Let’s get back to that nonsense in moment. First, let’s note that free gifts are not permitted under the Constitution’s Emoluments Clause. And it would be ridiculous to suggest that just because something is free that it’s okay. Would it be okay for someone with matters pending before a senator or a judge to give them a free Mercedes or Rolex?

As to whether the plane is actually free, NBC News reports that it could cost more than a billion dollars to “strip the plane” and then rebuild it with the added security enhancements that the president’s plane requires. Plus it could take years to complete the transformation. So the planes currently being built by Boeing to replace Air force One could be delivered first. And Trump would end up getting a free plane for his library that was never used as Air Force One.

Perhaps the most preposterous take in this Fox News segment is Earhardt’s comparison of Trump accepting a multimillion plane from a foreign government, to Harvard accepting academic donations. To begin with, Earhardt is actually agreeing that Trump’s acceptance of the plane is improper and “would rightly spark outrage over foreign influence.” Her complaint is only that Democrats might be hypocritical for not also being outraged about Harvard. Which is not even remotely similar.

Unlike Trump’s gift, there is nothing in the Constitution prohibiting Harvard from taking such donations. Harvard isn’t using those funds in any endeavor that would impact national security. In fact, as reported by The Harvard Crimson, they are used for financial aid, graduate fellowships, research funding, and related educational and operational expenses. And the donations they receive are fully disclosed as required by law.

Trying to equate Trump, a known felon with 34 convictions for financial fraud, and his breach of constitutional law, to Harvard’s commonplace and legal academic fundraising, is really just a demonstration of how desperate Fox News is to find any justification for an unjustifiable act by a criminal president. And that desperation only makes their failure more apparent and pathetic.

Scaredy Trump Attacks Reporter to Dodge Questions About His $400 Million Gift Plane from Qatar

The most predictable response by Donald Trump to any question more probing than how handsome he is, will almost always be an attack on the reporter as “fake news” or simply a “low IQ” person. It’s his simple-minded method of avoiding having to justify the latest atrocity he has thrust onto the nation.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump Angry

Trump is seriously deluded if he believes that insulting journalists actually constitutes a rational reply to a substantive inquiry on subjects that the American people care about. But that’s how he operates, and he seems to be convinced that it satisfies the public. Never mind that most recent surveys show that the people are far from satisfied.

SEE THIS: Trump Marks His First 100 Days By Glorifying Why Most Americans See Him as ‘A Dangerous Dictator’

Yet another growing controversy of Trump’s own creation emerged over the weekend that reveals his intention to accept a gift 747 plane, from his dear friends in Qatar, that he can use to replace the current Air Force One. And naturally, the Qataris are doing this purely out of the kindness of their hearts with no ulterior motive whatsoever, because that’s just how they are.

There are numerous problems with such an arrangement, including the obvious ethical breach, the flagrant violation of the Constitution’s Emoluments Clause, and matters of national security related to a such a critical mode of transportation possibly being technologically compromised. So it it was not surprising that Trump would be asked about it in his next press avail, which took place Monday morning. He engaged in the following exchange with ABC News correspondent Rachel Scott…

Scott: What do you say to people who view that luxury jet as a personal gift to you?
Trump: You’re ABC fake news, right? Let me tell you – you should be embarrassed asking that question. They’re giving us a free jet. I could say “No, no, no. I want to pay a billion or $400 million” or whatever it is. Or I can say “Thank you very much.” […]

It’s not a gift to me. It’s a gift to the Department of Defense. And you should know better, because you’ve been embarrassed enough. And so has your network. Your network is a disaster. ABC is a disaster.”

Reporter: “What do you say to people who view that luxury jet as a personal gift to you?”Trump: “You're ABC fake news right?… You should be embarrassed asking that question. They're giving us a free jet.”

The Bulwark (@thebulwark.com) 2025-05-12T16:16:02.317Z

There’s a lot of derp to unpack in that reply. Let’s begin with the fact that Scott wasn’t asking Trump to justify the gift, only what he would tell the American people who were concerned about it. But that was too much for Trump, who had no coherent answer, so he insulted the reporter.

What’s more, Trump lied that the plane would be a gift to the Department of Defense. He later admitted that, after he leaves the White House (if he does), the plane would be given to his presidential library. But presidential libraries are privately funded through non-profit organizations established by the former President or their supporters. So it is still a gift to the president.

Furthermore, Trump justifies accepting the gift because it’s free. So according to Trump, giving a free Mercedes to a senator before a vote would be okay? Or giving a free home to a judge before a ruling? What’s next? Vladimir Putin gives the U.S. a free building to use as its embassy in Moscow?

Trump’s Propaganda Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, was on Fox News Monday morning (as usual) to whitewash this sleazy transaction. She discussed the issue with Fox and Friends co-host Brian Kilmeade…

Kilmeade: Do you worry that if the Qataris give us something like this that they’ll want something in return?
Leavitt: Absolutely not. Because they know President Trump, and they know he only works with the interests of the American public in mind.

Really? If Trump was the least bit concerned about “the best interest of the American public,” he wouldn’t have imposed his recessionary Trump Taxes (aka tariffs) on America’s international trading partners; he wouldn’t be dismantling critical government agencies and cutting services such as Medicare and Medicaid; he wouldn’t be aligning himself with authoritarian tyrants and alienating American allies.

If the world knows anything about Trump, it’s that he is relentlessly transactional, and is always in it for himself. This latest scam is just the most recent proof.

OH MY: Trump’s Competency and the 25th Amendment was Raised on Fox News by Democratic Congressman

The case for declaring that Donald Trump is mentally unfit to serve as president has been made by many experts and professionals in the psychiatric field. But it doesn’t take an expert to see that Trump’s behavior in office is profoundly disturbed, erratic, and dangerous. In fact, it was made during his first term by a group of doctors that came together as “Duty to Warn.”

Donald Trump, Insane, Straight Jacket

In the 100 days since his inauguration, Trump has managed to crash the economy, alienate America’s allies, embrace its foes, dismantle critical agencies, and defy the courts and the Constitution, all while exalting himself as the messiah of his deranged MAGA movement. But no matter how hard he tries, he has been unable to convince the American people that he is capable and trustworthy.

SEE THIS: Trump Marks His First 100 Days By Glorifying Why Most Americans See Him as ‘A Dangerous Dictator’

While the majority of Americans have seen through the facade that Trump presents, a small faction of the population remains steadfastly loyal and blissfully ignorant. They can be identified by the media that they consume, which is primarily Fox News.

However, on Wednesday the curtain that covers Trump’s maladies and malevolence was pulled aside briefly. On Will Cain’s primetime Fox News program, Rep. Dan Goldman was interviewed about the state of Trump’s presidency at the 100 day mark. But their discussion went somewhat off course for a Fox segment on Trump when the matter of his competency was raised by Cain…

Cain: Even if you disagree, Congressman, and clearly you do with much of the president, the competency of the sitting president today, I think that the accuracy and the truth of those words do matter.
Goldman: Well, I don’t think he’s competent, Will. I don’t know what to tell you. Whether his cognitive abilities are sufficient to get past the 25th amendment, we don’t know that right now. But I think what is clear is that he has driven our country into a disastrous economy. He has undermined the fundamental rule of law and democracy. He is taking away benefits in order to cut taxes for the rich. I think even you, Will, would have to agree with me that this first hundred days is not at all what he promised the American people.
Cain: No, I’m sorry to notify you, I do not agree with you. I think this first 100 days is exactly what he promised the American people, and more importantly, exactly what was voted on by the American people.
Goldman: But I think the American people thought that he was going to lower costs, not raise them.

Dan Goldman to Will Cain on Trump: "Well, I don't think he's competent, Will. I don't know what to tell you." ?

That’s a lot of honest analysis for your average Fox News viewer to consume. They are not accustomed to hearing that Trump has cognitive deficiencies, or the examples of how those deficiencies impact the nation and the people. To be sure, most of Fox’s viewers are confirmed cult devotees who will dismiss everything that Goldman said. But the exposure to it could seep into the thoughts of a few whose minds are not cemented shut.

Unsurprisingly, Cain disagreed with Goldman. But his arguments for doing so were the sort of hollow rhetoric that is to be expected of a cult Pharisee. Obviously the American people did not vote for Trump to undermine democracy, increase the cost of living, terminate their healthcare and Social Security, or deport people – including U.S. citizens – with no legal basis or due process.

Goldman’s remarks on Fox News are the sort of medicine that the right-wing MAGA minions need. That includes the ones in Congress. And Goldman also addressed them on Thursday in a House committee hearing. Speaking to his Republican colleagues, Goldman said that…

“I don’t understand how you’re gonna be able to look yourself in the face knowing that you voted to allow our federal government to detain and deport United States citizens simply because you do not want to vote against something that Donald Trump may support.

“Do you have a thought of your own? Do you have a belief of your own? Or is everything literally just whatever Donald Trump tells you it should be?”

Rep Dan Goldman.

Chris Hauck (@chrishauck.bsky.social) 2025-05-01T15:31:20.051Z

That’s a silly question. Of course “everything is literally just whatever Donald Trump tells [them] it should be?” Trump is the only one in MAGA World who has any thoughts or beliefs. And those are are as wispy as a fog on a sunny morning. They will change from one moment to the next. But they are what GOP members of Congress cling to for dear life.

Some day Republican representatives will realize that they need to be more afraid of voters than of Trump. And with the way that the current polls ore going, that day may be upon us sooner than we think. But still not sooner than we hope.

Trump Marks His First 100 Days By Glorifying Why Most Americans See Him as ‘A Dangerous Dictator’

The authoritarian aspirations of Donald Trump have been evident since he first crawled out of the slime of his reality TV swamp, seeking to bail out his failing business empire. His ability to sustain the myth of his success was ironically aided and abetted by the media that he maligns as “the enemy of the people.”

Donald Trump Walking the Plank

As we arrive at the completion of Trump’s first 100 days of his second occupation of the White House, it is more obvious than ever that he is determined to be canonized as the messiah of his MAGA movement in order to ordain himself as America’s first dictator. Even his press secretary explicitly characterizes the devotion that she expects the Trump cult members to display…

SEE THIS: Trump Cult Priestess, Karoline Leavitt, Preaches to ‘Trust in Trump’ to Bring Economic Salvation

For his part, Trump sought to memorialize his 100 day anniversary in a manner that is typical of someone suffering from a severe case of malignant narcissism. It’s typical in that it exposes how deeply he has descended into an acute egomaniacal stupor. But it’s also typical in that it is deeply delusional. In a comment posted to his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, he linked to an article by GOP Sen. Roger Marshall for what he considers to be his accomplishments thus far…

“In just 100 days, we have witnessed one of the most productive presidential administrations in modern history. Trump has already signed more than 140 executive orders, issued more than 40 proclamations, and authored more than 30 memorandums—far surpassing the number of actions many presidents have taken throughout their entire administrations.”

Contrary to Trump’s gushing self-pride for what he regards a “productive presidential administration,” everything in that comment is more representative of the behavior of an unabashed tyrant. American leadership is not graded on how many unilateral actions are taken by a wannabe despot with overt animosity toward democracy. Bypassing the legislative and judicial branches of government is ordinarily done on a limited basis when required by unique circumstances. But Trump is using executive orders, and other instruments of power, to exert his own will, not that of the people.

The Newsweek op-ed by Marshall that Trump linked to was replete with more ridiculously reverential rhetoric. Marshall went on to say that…

“Despite relentless criticism from the mainstream media, radical judges blocking the president’s actions, and Democrats in disarray, the American people stand strongly behind the president’s America first vision.”

Marshall, of course, is lying. In fact, Trump has the worst approval ratings of any president in more than 80 years at this point in their term. Even worse, a poll by PRRI found that “Most Americans see Trump as a dangerous dictator.” That includes a majority overall, a majority of Independents, and even 17% of Republicans. Some may believe that those numbers are still too low, but this is just the beginning.

What’s more, one of Fox News’ most reliable Trump-fluffers, Mark Levin, seems to agree that Trump is an aspiring dictator. He told his viewers that…

“He is routinely violating separation of powers, which goes to the heart of our system. He’s ruling our country by executive orders, administration regulations in order to defy Congress and get around Congress. That is, he’s lawmaking, which is a clear violation of the Constitution.”

Actually, Levin said that on May 19, 2024. And he was talking about President Biden who signed only 42 executive orders in his first 100 days. And Trump posted a link to that clip of Levin on Truth Social. So he must have been aware of it because, as he says himself, he has one of the best memories in the world.”

Finally, Trump’s shadow chief-of-staff, Sean Hannity, also devoted some time to heralding Trump’s “accomplishments” in his first 100 days. However, they don’t seem to include anything that actually benefits the nation or its people. Unless you regard renaming the Gulf of Mexico, or ending federal support for paper straws, as major achievements to move America forward. Well, do you?

WOW! Take a look at all of Trump's "accomplishments" as celebrated by Sean Hannity on Fox News.Is this what they think the American people want and need?

Is This a Joke? Trump’s Attorney Genuflect, Pam Bondi, Tells Fox News ‘No One Is Above the Law’

One of the most chronic complaints of Donald Trump and his cult cabal has been his assertion that there has been a “weaponization” of government, particularly with regard to the Justice Department. His feelings on this subject are surely driven by the fact that he has been the most criminally active president in history, with a rap sheet longer than mobster Al Capone’s. Which, for some reason, he likes to brag about.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Fox News, Pam Bondi

However, the only real evidence of such weaponization actually comes from the Trump administration itself. From the outset of his reoccupation of the White House, Trump has embarked on mission of malevolence aimed at all manner of civil servants, but especially the judiciary.

SEE THIS: Trump is on a Crusade to Intimidate and Impeach Judges Who Dare to Rule Against Dear Leader

On Friday morning there was a chilling example of this malignant behavior in a report that Trump’s FBI had arrested a sitting judge in Wisconsin on charges of obstructing justice by allegedly helping an illegal immigrant evade arrest. The charge is a typically specious exercise in the fascistic philosophy that permeates everything that Trump and his cronies are doing.

True to form, whenever there is a crisis connected to the Trump regime, he dispatches his subordinates to Fox News. Many of them spend more time on Fox than they do in their offices doing their jobs. That may actually be a blessing in disguise. In this case, it was Attorney Genuflect, Pam Bondi, who took her place on the Fox News pedestal to deliver her propaganda pitch to Fox hosts John Roberts and Sandra Smith. She began by insulting the whole of the judicial system…

Bondi: What has happened to our judiciary is beyond me.
Smith: When the American public hears this and they think these were once outstanding people in their communities, and their professions, and they put it on the line for this. Have you dug into their motive? What inspired them to carry out these acts and harbor criminals?
Bondi: They’re deranged is all I can think of. I cannot believe… I think that some of these judges think they are beyond and above the law. And they are not. And we’re sending a very strong message today, if you are harboring a fugitive, we don’t care who you are. If you’re helping hide one, if you’re giving a TdA [Tren de Aragua gang] member guns, anyone who is illegally in this country, we will come after you and prosecute you. We’ll find you.

Bondi declares war on the courts: "What has happened to our judiciary is beyond me … they are deranged … we are sending a very strong message today … we will come after you and we will prosecute you. We will find you."

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2025-04-25T17:11:59.990Z

Notice that Smith openly takes Bondi’s side, expressing her horror that this judge would put her reputation on the line, and falsely stating as a matter of fact that the judge was harboring criminals. To which Bondi replied that the only explanation for such behavior was that the judge is “deranged.” That is not a legal argument. It is a childish insult that reveals Bondi’s legal ineptitude. She also throws in an extraneous reference to someone giving guns to gang members, which no one has even hinted at. But this was just the beginning. They went on…

Roberts: Very significant development that you’re arresting judges now. Now it could be that the judges engaged in some terribly bad behavior and deserve to be arrested. But you know what critics will say. That this is the government that is expanding the powers of Article 1 of the Constitution, now they’re arresting judges. How do you respond to that?
Bondi: No one is above the law. No one is above the law in this country. And if you are destroying evidence, if you are obstructing justice, if you have victims sitting a courtroom of domestic violence, and you’re escorting a criminal defendant out a back door, it will not be tolerated. It is a crime in the United States of America. It doesn’t matter who you are. You are going to be prosecuted.”

ROBERTS: Critics will say this is the government expanding the powers of Article 1 of the Constitution, now they're arresting judges. How do you respond?BONDI: Nobody is above the law

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2025-04-25T17:13:12.277Z

How any credible journalist could listen to that response and not break out in hysterical laughter is hard to fathom. Although Fox News need not worry about that because they don’t employ any credible journalists.

Bondi’s clinging to the notion that “no one is above the law” is hypocritical in the extreme. Her boss, Trump, has literally been adjudicated to be above the law by the right-wing members of the Supreme Court who ruled that he has immunity for official acts, which they seem to define as anything that he says is official.

Meanwhile, Trump has 34 pending felony convictions for which he has not been sentenced. There are 54 more felony charges for which he has not been tried. And he continues to rack up more criminal acts, such his shuttering independent government agencies over which he has no jurisdiction. And his firing of thousands of employees without complying with the legal prerequisites to do so. And his deportations of people without providing the due process that the law demands. And his refusing to obey federal court orders and injunctions.

But other than that, no one is above the law. Well, except for all the MAGA politicians who break the law with impunity. And all of Trump’s oligarch pals who get away with flagrant financial crimes. And about 1,500 violent insurrections who stormed the Capitol in an attempt to undermine democracy, and put 140 police officers in the hospital, who all got presidential pardons. But other than that…
