Fox News Idiot Tucker Carlson: QAnon Doesn’t Exist Because He Can’t Find a Website

It isn’t necessary to scratch more than the surface to reveal the utter stupidity of most of the cretins on Fox News. But Tucker Carlson makes it even easier than the others by putting his moronic outbursts on public display with an extra heaping of pride.

Fox News, Tucker Carlson, Q Shaman

On Tuesday night Carlson devoted a significant part of his nightly White Nationalist Hour to the premise that the conspiracy crackpots known as QAnon don’t actually exist (video below). Carlson said that he did the research and arrived at the conclusion that the whole thing was a figment of the media’s imagination. And the basis for that conclusions was that…

“We spent all day trying to locate the famous QAnon, which, in the end, we learned is not even a website, If it’s out there, we could not find it.”

Well then, that settles it. Right? Carlson’s journalistic prowess surely can’t be disputed. He went even further to claim that…

“We checked [GOP Rep.] Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Twitter feed because we have heard she traffics in disinformation, CNN told us, but nothing there. Next, we called our many friends in the tight-knit intel community. Could Vladimir Putin be putting this stuff out there? The Proud Boys? Alex Jones? Who is lying to America in ways that are certain to make us hate each other and certain to destroy our core institutions? Well, none of the above, actually. It wasn’t Marjorie Taylor Greene. It was cable news. It was politicians talking on TV. They’re the ones spreading disinformation to Americans. Maybe they are from QAnon.”

First of all, It isn’t unusual that a “movement” fronted by an anonymous character who makes bizarre allegations about Democrats being sex-trafficking baby eaters doesn’t have a website. But if Carlson had trouble finding them online, he either wasn’t trying very hard, or he’s borderline comatose. The fabled “Q” has been dropping his nonsense on dedicated wingnut web forums like 4chan for the past few years.

What’s more, Carlson is actually defending the likes of Vladimir Putin, the Proud Boys, and Alex Jones, as truthtellers. He mocks the very idea that they might be making up their preposterous horror stories. And he sarcastically puts down the media as being less credible than those notorious liars.

As for QAnon Rep. Greene, Carlson might not have found her tweets on the subject because she has spent the past several weeks deleting them. But anyone who was actually looking could find them. And here’s a thread of several videos of Greene talking up QAnon.

Something that Carlson fails to mention is that his Messiah, Donald Trump, has explicitly recognized the existence of QAnon. He even noted with pride his gratitude that “they like me very much, which I appreciate.” Is Carlson contradicting Trump now?

What makes Carlson’s QAnon denialism all the more ludicrous is that he has spent many televised hours acknowledging its existence himself, and even defending it. So obviously this tirade is pure bullpucky, staged to ensure that his dimwitted viewers remain ill-informed and rabid with misplaced anger. That way he and Fox News can continue to profit off of their lies while sowing division and anti-democratic propaganda.

GASLIGHTING: Fox News Shill Denies Video Evidence of White Supremacist Insurrection

On the eve of the Senate’s “Joint Committee Hearing Examining the January 6th Attack on the U.S. Capitol,” Fox News host and shameless purveyor of flagrant lies, Tucker Carlson, sought to preemptively dismiss the notion that there was any attack at all. Never mind that there were at least five people killed, many more injured, and that the nation witnessed it all live on television.

Fox News, Tucker Carlson, QAnon

Carlson’s insurrection denialism reflects how Fox News is covering the issue across the board. When they aren’t pretending that nothing happened, they are blaming Democrats for it and praising the criminals as patriots. Fox News didn’t even air much the hearings live, as legitimate news networks MSNBC and CNN did.

Donald Trump managed to get off the hook because his cowardly GOP confederates in the Senate refused to convict him on the obvious evidence of his guilt. Although most of the Republican senators acknowledged Trump’s inflammatory rhetoric as inciteful, they acquitted him on the phony technicality that a president can’t be impeached after he’s left office. For the record, that isn’t true. It’s also irrelevant since Trump was impeached while he was still president.

The subject of the Trump Insurrection came up during the confirmation hearing for President Biden’s Attorney General nominee, Merrick Garland. When asked about how he would handle the matter, Garland said that…

“If confirmed, I will supervise the prosecution of white supremacists and others who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, a heinous attack that sought to disrupt a cornerstone of our democracy: the peaceful transfer of power to a newly elected government.”

That rational commentary infuriated Carlson, which he saw as an attack on his precious white nationalist comrades. Rather than concede the clearly observable fact that the Trumpian hordes who invaded Congress were a racist mob dressed in Nazi regalia and carrying Confederate flags, Carlson lashed out at Garland in an unhinged rant:

“Merrick Garland has a lot of reasonable friends who say that he is a smart and moderate person. But that was not a moderate statement. It was dishonest, completely dishonest. Dishonest enough that you should be worried about it. There’s no evidence that white supremacists were responsible for what happened on Jan. 6. That’s a lie. And contrary to what you’ve been hearing, there’s no evidence this was a – quote – armed insurrection.”

Really? So all of the video showing rioters attacking Capitol Police with clubs, knives, mace, and some carrying guns, was all digitally enhanced? Carlson is asking his audience to ignore the evidence of their own eyes. And, sadly, they will probably do so.

Carlson then interviewed Julie Kelly, who is with “American Greatness,” a far-right, Trumpian blog. She tried to spin the charges against some of those arrested for their violent assault on Congress as minor infractions. The problem is that her presentation – and that of Carlson and Fox News – relies on pretending that we all didn’t see the videos of armed Trump Insurrectionists beating cops, breaking windows, and marauding through the halls of Congress yelling about killing Nancy Pelosi and hanging Mike Pence.

This is the sort of distortion of reality that led to the violence in Washington, D.C., in the first place. Trump’s Big Lie about the election being stolen and the need to “fight like hell” inflamed his cult followers to the point of engaging in a deadly rampage. Now Carlson’s perpetuation of this dangerously dishonest narrative is likely have the same tragic result. And it’s why Carlson’s continued presence on Fox News is an imminent threat to national security and an affront to the Preamble of the Constitution that seeks to “insure domestic tranquility.”

COLD-HEARTED LIES: Fox News Callously Exploits Deadly Winter Storms to Attack Green New Deal

Apparently Fox News wasn’t satisfied with lying about the deadly coronavirus pandemic. Even though their deliberate, politically motivated distortions resulted in untold thousands of deaths that could have been avoided. That isn’t hyperbole. Studies have actually proven that watching Fox News increases COVID-19 fatalities. Some studies singled out watching Sean Hannity as being linked to higher rates of coronavirus deaths.

Be sure to visit and follow News Corpse on Instagram.

Fox News

Now that there are historically severe winter storms ravaging much of the country, Fox News has made a typically idiotic, right-wing based, editorial decision to lie about that as well. Rather than just reporting the facts about the storm and how those battered by it can get help, Fox News is spreading ludicrous falsehoods and laying blame on their political foes.

The narrative that Fox is adopting is that somehow the Green New Deal and wind turbines are responsible for the power outages that have devastated Texas. Never mind that wind power represents a small portion of the power generation in Texas which is run by Republicans who have always been opposed to alternative energy sources. Fox News wants their viewers to believe that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is in charge of the Texas power grid and is conspiring to undermine it. That narrative was evident during an interview of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Hannity, where he said that…

“This shows how the Green New Deal would be a deadly deal for the United States of America. Texas is blessed with multiple sources of energy such as natural gas and nuclear, as well as solar and wind. Our wind and our solar got shot down and they were collectively more than 10 percent of our power grid. And that thrust Texas into a situation where we’re lacking power on a statewide basis.”

That is an unvarnished, flat out lie. Even if wind and solar “got shot down,” their contribution to the total energy supply in Texas would have had a negligible impact. Abbott’s own administration expert agreed as reported by the Daily Beast:

“A senior director for the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, however, said hours earlier that frozen wind turbines during the deadly winter storms have been ‘the least significant factor in the blackouts,’ noting that the main factors are ‘frozen instruments at natural gas, coal and even nuclear facilities.'” [More info here]

Meanwhile, fresh from his pathetic attack on Jill and Joe Biden’s marriage, the undisputed Champion of Fox News Assholery, Tucker Carlson, added to the avalanche of bullpucky by babbling out this barrage of nonsense:

“Unbeknownst to most people, the Green New Deal came to Texas. The power grids became totally reliant on windmills. Then it got cold and the windmills broke. Cause that’s what happens in the green new deal. You’re without power. Millions are still without power tonight. Several have died. Now the same energy policies that have wrecked Texas this week are going nationwide. They’re coming to your state.”

Nearly every word of that rant is deliberate deceit. The Green New Deal has not come to Texas, or anywhere else in the United States. It is currently a draft of bill in Congress that hasn’t been introduced or voted on. As noted above, the power grids in Texas are not “totally reliant on windmills,” or even minimally reliant. They didn’t break. They just need to be de-iced. That isn’t what happens in the Green New Deal. People are still without power because the fossil fuel sources have failed. And the energy policies that wrecked Texas were entirely the work of Republicans beholden to the fossil fuel industry.

The only things Carlson got right are that people have died (which he couldn’t care less about), and that eventually, with luck and hard work, the Green New Deal will be implemented across the country. Which will be a huge improvement over the archaic Dirty Old Deal. In the meantime, Fox News will continue to exploit tragedies in their zeal to advance a heartless, destructive, ultra-conservative agenda. And, of course, to juice their sagging ratings.

Fox Family Values: Tucker Carlson Viciously Mocks Media and – Biden’s Marriage?

Fox News, Tucker Carlson

On the Tuesday night episode of Carlson’s White Power Hour he sought to malign the free press that he regards as “the enemy of the people,” just like his crush Donald Trump does. Carlson bellowed maniacally that “the people who run [America’s institutions] are rotten.” Not just some of them, but “all of which are corrupt.” And he singles out one institution as “looming above the rest [as] our most corrupt institution: The mainstream news media.” He elaborates that…

“The media are more crooked than Jimmy Hoffa ever was. They’re more dishonest than your average bribe-taking building inspector in Queens and more treacherous than the Mafia. They make cops in Tijuana look trustworthy. You’ll get fairer treatment from an inner-city DMV than you would from CNN.”

Let’s set aside for the moment Carlson’s asinine analogies comparing the media to murderous organized crime figures. More repugnant is how his sanctimonious verbal assaults rely entirely on offensive stereotypes and racist dog whistles? It’s integral to his hallmark brand of hate speech.

However, Carlson’s sour soliloquy does hit some sweet spots, albeit inadvertently. In a moment of unintended self-reflection, Carlson articulates the best description of himself saying that “Dumb and conventional now pass as impressive.” He continues seemingly still determined to define himself and his Fox News confederates:

“Yes, the news media are profoundly dishonest. All of us lie from time to time, that’s the human condition. Imagine, though, if lying was your job. Imagine forcing yourself to tell lies all day about every subject in ways that were so transparent and so outlandish that there is no way the people listening to you could possibly believe anything you said. Then imagine doing that again and again and again every day of your professional life for your entire life. Could you do that? […] you’ve got to respect those skills.

You don’t need to imagine any of this. Just watch five minutes of any Tucker Carlson program if you have the stomach for it. And remember that Fox News lawyers actually argued successfully in court that Carlson cannot not be held liable for the lies he tells because he “cannot be understood to have been stating facts,” and that “given Mr. Carlson’s reputation, any reasonable viewer ‘arrive[s] with an appropriate amount of skepticism’ about the statements he makes.”

In other words, no reasonable viewer would believe Carlson’s BS. That’s according to the Fox News lawyers speaking on Carlson’s behalf. The problem is that Carlson doesn’t have any reasonable viewers. So the cult disciples he’s disinforming on a nightly basis will blindly buy into whatever he says. And among the nauseating absurdities he unleashed in the same episode was this sarcastic grotesquery:

“The Bidens affection is totally real and in no way part of a slick PR campaign devised by cynical consultants determined to hide the president’s senility by misdirection. Their love is as real as climate change.”

Technically, since climate change is undeniably real according to the vast majority of credible scientists, Carlson is actually affirming the authenticity of the Bidens heartwarming romance. Which is something that’s been conspicuously absent from the White House for four chilly years. Carlson’s smug dismissal of marital affection may be more than naked hostility. It may just be another sad and thinly veiled confession about the hollowness of his own pathetic life.

Tucker Carlson of Fox News Wants to Know ‘Why Are the Democrats So Angry?’

In January, the United States House of Representatives impeached Donald Trump – again. It is only the fourth time a president has ever been impeached, and the first time that a president was impeached twice. Furthermore, with ten Republicans voting in favor of Trump’s impeachment, it was the most bipartisan impeachment in history.

Fox News, Tucker Carlson

Nevertheless, Fox News continues to distort reality with utterly ridiculous versions of Trump’s tribulations. And not surprisingly, Tucker Carlson is leading the way with flagrant lies and wholly manufactured inventions of what others are feeling. The Thursday night episode of his Fox News melodrama (video below) asked belligerently “Why are the Democrats so angry.” It’s a burning question in the minds of people who live in the same fantasy universe as Carlson. He ranted…

“Why are the Democrats so angry? We’ve asked that question a number of times. It doesn’t seem to make any sense. Truly. In November the Democratic Party won everything Full control of the federal government. They seethed for years while they were out of power. […]They are crazy person mad. Florid-faced, irrational, yelling and making threats. It is bizarre.

You really have to wonder which Democrats he’s referring to. If he’s been watching the Senate impeachment hearings he would have seen the House Democratic impeachment managers calmly delivering an effective and devastating case against Trump, based on facts and testimony that included Trump’s own words. There wasn’t a single incident of yelling or threats or anything approaching such alleged histrionics. Talk about bizarre. Carlson may just be projecting what he sees within himself. Carlson went on to malign Democrats for even bothering to impeach Trump:

“You would think they’d get to work fixing the country they inherited. They promised to do that. Instead, they set about breaking things and hurting people. What is going on here?”

First of all, it’s unusually candid of Carlson to concede that Joe Biden inherited a country that was desperately in need of repair. But his assertion that Democrats are “breaking things and hurting people” is curious, to put it mildly. Does anyone knw WTF he is talking about? Carlson also revealed that he is either in a coma, or resorting to his standard mode of communication, shameless lying.

Democrats have been working vigorously to fix the problems caused by Trump and the GOP. They have drafted a COVID relief bill (that Republicans are blocking). They are restoring Obamacare to the state prior to Trump’s sabotage of it. They have rejoined the Paris Climate Accords and World Health Organization. They have ramped up coronavirus testing and vaccinations.

And that’s not all. They are addressing income inequality with plans to raise the minimum wage to $15.00 an hour. And Biden has addressed critical issues with Russia (cyber-espionage, election interference, bounties on American soldiers, Navalny poisoning) and China (virus origination, trade, Hong Kong independence, territorial waters) that Trump ignored and/or made worse. And Biden has only been President for three weeks. What more does Carlson want?

The tirade continued with Carlson complaining that Democrats were involved with Google’s YouTube taking down a pro-life account. Carlson accused Google of doing that because “Google supports abortion, like a lot of big corporations do. Children distract the labor force. If you’re raising your family, you are not serving shareholders.” Does that idiocy even need to be rebutted? For the record, Carlson is lying again. The real reason the account was closed was because it was “repeatedly sharing videos that spread misinformation about COVID-19 and the vaccines against it.” That is a violation of YouTube’s stated terms of service.

Carlson also complained that “Twitter shut down James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas Twitter feed. There was no justifiable reason to do this.” Once again, Carlson is lying. The reason Twitter shut down O’Keefe’s account was because of its “repeated violations of the platform’s policies prohibiting sharing — or threats of sharing — other people’s private information without consent.”

Carlson was especially perturbed over what he views as the victimhood of Fox News, saying that…

“Fox is the last big organization in the American news media that differs in even the smallest ways from the other big news organizations. The only one. That’s it. Just us. At this point, there’s everyone else in the media standing in crisp formation, in their starched matching uniforms and their little caps, patiently awaiting orders from the billionaire class.”

Umm… It seems like it’s Carlson and his tribe that is goose-stepping in formation, wearing little red caps, and taking orders from billionaire Rupert Murdoch. There is nothing similar in the rest of the media that reports to a single source of ultra-partisan dogma. In fact, there’s a great deal of competition and diversity. That’s the reason that Fox News stands alone. They have cornered the radical right news market. And they are the only network that so brazenly dispenses with journalistic ethics and the principles of honest reporting. So naturally they are “different” in the most biased and dangerous way.

Tucker Carlson is Vying for the Coveted ‘Fox News A-Hole of All Time’ Award

The Fox News Channel has long been the mouthpiece for an extremist right-wing agenda and the most radical fringes of the Republican Party. It’s what it was created to do by its founders Rupert Murdoch (an ultra-conservative media baron) and Roger Ailes (a GOP media consultant). And they have vigorously pursued their mission to distort the news and deceive their eagerly misled viewers.

Fox News, Tucker Carlson

Over the years there has been a parade of lying charlatans on the network who shamelessly spread blatant disinformation and propaganda. They included such nefarious luminaries as Bill O’Reilly, Glenn Beck, Megyn Kelly, the recently terminated Lou Dobbs, and of course, the veteran of venality, Sean Hannity.

With such a stellar cast of cretins it’s hard to imagine that anyone else could sink below that roster and achieve new depths of disgust. But there is one Fox News stalwart who is unafraid of the formidable competition and is willing to debase himself sufficiently to descend to unprecedented new lows.

Tucker Carlson is undoubtedly Fox’s new leader in political lechery. He has earned this dishonor over many years of fashioning diatribes filled with flagrant falsehoods and hate speech. However, his most recent rants are testaments to his determination to reign as the Fox News GOAT (Grossest Of All Time). Just this week Carlson has unleashed these nauseating tirades:

Coronavirus Vaccines Are a Plot by the Left to Suppress Free Speech and Even Freedom Overall
Wherein Carlson asks a bunch of question about vaccines for which the answers are readily available, but because he’s too stupid to look them up, he insists they don’t exist and everyone is lying about it. The truth is that Carlson lied about virtually everything in this tirade. And his lies are going to get people killed by dissuading them from getting vaccinated. Media Matters answered his questions for him here:

George Floyd Died of a Drug Overdose, not the Cop’s Knee on His Throat for Eight Minutes
Wherein Carlson tries to divert attention from Trump’s historic second impeachment hearing in the Senate by bashing Black Lives Matter and making excuses for murderous cops. Which is a pretty wild diversion. And once again, according to Carlson everyone else is lying when it’s really just Carlson. He falsely asserts that George Floyd didn’t die of asphyxiation from having a cop’s knee on his throat for more than eight minutes. Carlson says he died of a drug overdose, like all Black “criminals” who defy authority.

Here’s the truth: The Hennepin County medical examiner ruled Floyd’s death a homicide due to “cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint, and neck compression.” Also, an independent autopsy determined Floyd died of “asphyxia from sustained pressure” on his neck and back that led to “impeded blood flow to the brain.” The report concluded that “Floyd has no underlying medical condition that would have contributed to his death.”

Defending Your Right To Believe That Democrats Eat Babies
Wherein Carlson’s segment sported a graphic that read “DEMS ARE TRYING TO CONTROL WHAT YOU BELIEVE,” although he never presented a single example of that. He began his demented dissertation on the dangers of censorship by sarcastically pronouncing that “The real threat is a forbidden idea, it’s something called QAnon.” This was his lead-in to a full-throated support for the crackpot conspiracy theorists.

Fomenting Civil War With Insanely Paranoid Lies
Wherein Carlson claims that Democrats are mounting a literal war against Republicans, with soldiers and everything. No, really. He actually said that Democrats “declared war on their rival political party. Not, by the way, a metaphorical war, but an actual one, with soldiers, paramilitary law enforcement, and the world’s most powerful intelligence agencies.”

This list could go on and on. But the point is made that Carlson is now the undisputed King of Crackpottery. And an especially dangerous brand of it. He is inciting violence with frightening tales of cannibalistic, freedom-hating Democrats. He is exacerbating the worst public health crisis in a century by maligning efforts to impede the COVID pandemic. He is stirring up his white supremacist audience to ever more noxious states of bigotry. And he is doing all of this tangible harm from his perch on Fox News where his ratings are higher than Hannity’s. Although the network suffered a sharp decline after the November election and is currently in third place behind CNN and MSNBC.

Fox News lawyers actually argued successfully in court that Carlson cannot not be held liable for the lies he tells because he “cannot be understood to have been stating facts,” and that “given Mr. Carlson’s reputation, any reasonable viewer ‘arrive[s] with an appropriate amount of skepticism’ about the statements he makes.” In other words, no reasonable viewer would believe Carlson’s BS. That’s according to the Fox News lawyers speaking on Carlson’s behalf.

The problem is that Carlson doesn’t have any reasonable viewers. So the cult disciples he’s disinforming on a nightly basis will blindly buy into whatever he says. And for that reason he’s earned the Fox News A-Hole of All Time Award. It’s an award that ought to be accompanied by a rapid cancelation so as to prevent any further harm to the nation. Sadly, Fox News is more likely to give him a raise and another hour to spew his bullcrap. Consequently, It might be more productive to do this: Un-Fox My Cable Box For more info on that, read this.

Cancel Culture at Fox News: Lou Dobbs is Out. Will Tucker Carlson Be Next?

Cable TV news got much better on Friday with the announcement that Fox News has canceled Lou Dobbs Tonight on their so-called “business” channel. Dobbs has been divisive and deceitful figure on FBN for years. Whatever reputation he had as a financial journalist was long ago lost in favor of a hard-core, right-wing political sycophancy that turned his program into nothing more than flagrant propaganda.

Be sure to visit and follow News Corpse on Instagram.

Fox News, Tucker Carlson

Prior to the election in November, there were predictions that the media would suffer massive declines if Donald Trump lost. Many of those predictions came from Donald Trump himself. He frequently tweeted (before he was cast out) that without him there would be “no ratings, media will go down along with our great USA!” Instead, that grim prognosis only held true for his Ministry of Disinformation, Fox News. CNN and MSNBC have both enjoyed record ratings and have thrust Fox into third place:

https://twitter.com/noozvk/status/1356979757343100929

The Los Angeles Times just revealed that “Fox News Media has canceled ‘Lou Dobbs Tonight,’ the program hosted by television’s staunchest supporter of Donald Trump” Their reporting noted that “The cancellation comes a day after voting software company Smartmatic filed a $2.7-billion defamation suit against Fox News and three of its hosts — Dobbs, Maria Bartiromo and Jeanine Pirro.”

It’s difficult to pretend that the Dobbs cancelation was unrelated to the lawsuit. Smartmatic has an extraordinarily strong case, and they aren’t the only potential litigants going after Fox. Serving up Dobbs as a sacrifice would seem like a prudent move for a company in such legal and financial peril. It would be foolish to ignore it. What’s more, after Fox News received a “cease and desist” letter from Smartmatic, they began running a bizarre video that appeared to be an attempt to counter their prior defamatory “reporting” on election fraud. That’s a de facto admission of guilt.

Nevertheless, Fox has decided to go with the story that Dobbs’ departure was already on their calendar. A representative of the network told the Times that “Fox News Media regularly considers programming changes and plans have been in place to launch new formats as appropriate post-election, including on Fox Business.” But with this effort to save face, Fox is putting itself in the path of greater danger. By insisting that they canceled Dobbs for reasons other than to address the libelous content of the program, they are ensuring that his termination won’t indemnify them from the pending lawsuits.

Furthermore, Fox is clearly lying. Dobbs was FBN’s highest-rated show. You don’t fire your top host without notice and without giving him an opportunity to say goodbye and thank his production team and his audience unless there’s some underlying problem. And in this case there obviously was. In addition to Dobbs being a lawsuit magnet, according to the Times, “his program was a loss leader for Fox Business Network as major advertisers steered clear of it, probably out of fear of consumer boycotts.” That puts Dobbs in the same boat as his Fox News colleague Tucker Carlson.

Carlson’s reputation is even more toxic than that of Dobbs. In fact, Fox News lawyers argued successfully in court that the network could not be held liable for defamatory comments by Carlson because “given Mr. Carlson’s reputation, any reasonable viewer ‘arrive[s] with an appropriate amount of skepticism’ about the statements he makes.'” In other words, Carlson is a known liar who is incapable of defamation because who, other than a complete imbecile, would believe him?

As for Carlson’s ratings, he is also currently the leader on Fox News, but with a similar business deficiency that makes his program expendable. Advertisers have abandoned his program due to the relentless racism and advocacy of violence. Most advertisers don’t want their brands associated with such negative content.

Consequently, Carlson is left with lower-tier advertisers that aren’t as discriminating. They include reverse mortgage lenders, dubious vitamin supplements, personal injury lawyers, and gold coin peddlers. Forbes has reported that “According to iSpot, Tucker Carlson Tonight’s biggest advertiser is My Pillow, which spent more than $40 million on spots during 2019 and 2020. That is about ten times as high as the show’s next biggest advertiser and more than the next four sponsors’ combined spending.” And Mike Lindell, the conspiracy theory spewing CEO of MyPillow has problems of his own.

The insufferable bigotry and lies that are such a staple on most of Fox’s programs culminated in a humiliating dismissal for Lou Dobbs. But others on the networks of Rupert Murdoch are no better. Maria Bartiromo and Jeanine Pirro regularly embarrass themselves with their drooling Trump worship. Sean Hannity Laura Ingraham, and the “Curvy Couch” potatoes of Fox and Friends, are veteran Trump-fluffers.

But no one outperforms Carlson for the sheer audacity of his falsehoods, drenched in the smug superiority of the white privilege that he denies exists. If anyone follows Dobbs out the door at Fox News, it should be Tucker Carlson. He’s earned that dishonor, and it would be a shame to deprive him (and us) of it.

Senior Fox News Scold, Tucker Carlson, Comes to the Rescue of QAnon Crackpot Greene

The most gratingly annoying presence on the Fox News Channel is, without contest, the host of the network’s “White Nationalist Hour,” Tucker Carlson. And he’s dangerous too, as his fomenting of civil war last week attests. He has recently surpassed Trump-fluffer Sean Hannity in the ratings, although Fox’s entire primetime lineup is losing these days to both MSNBC and CNN.

Fox News, Tucker Carlson, QAnon

On Monday’s episode of Carlson’s nightly tirade (video below), he featured a segment that focused on defending the Republican Party’s newest star, Marjorie Taylor Greene. She has carved out a name for herself as the wingnuttiest Republican in a party that is crawling with wingnuts. It took Carlson a while to get around to the subject of his rant because he’s just got way too much idiocy to stuff into a single hour program.

Consequently, Carlson led off by taking a swipe at Washington, D.C. and their aspirations for statehood:

“The other day, for example, we learned that the Biden administration plans to make the tiny District of Columbia our 51st state, a more corrupt, English-speaking version of Monaco. As if lobbyists in Washington didn’t have enough control over your life, now they’ll be U.S. senators.”

Isn’t it quaint that Carlson regards the seat of America’s democracy as a third-world bastion of corrupt lobbyists. His ignorance is obvious since he has no idea who the residents of the District actually are. Nor does he know that its population is larger than that of Vermont and Wyoming. On the other hand, Carlson might know exactly who lives in the Distract and he’s just affirming his brazenly racist views and is scared that people of color might get representation in Congress for the first time.

However, Carlson only brought it up to twist the truth about the recent Trump Insurrection wherein hundreds of Trump cult disciples stormed the Capitol at his direction. And in the process he maligned our National Guard troops and completely distorted what actually took place:

“The troops came last month, tens of thousands of them. We were told they were going to protect the capital from the inevitable right-wing violence that would accompany Joe Biden’s inauguration. Then Joe Biden was inaugurated and there wasn’t any violence. Donald Trump didn’t chain himself to the North Portico. Trump voters didn’t rush the stage.”

The reason there wasn’t any violence is because the troops were there to prevent it. And because that worked so well, Carlson thinks there was no cause for concern to begin with. He would have been much happier if the troops were not there and he could have made up some nonsense about how Biden was responsible for more rioting in D.C.

Carlson eventually got to the point of his bonehead blathering, which was to defend the QAnon Congresswoman Greene, whose views he heartily shares. He was appalled that people were calling for her to resign or be expelled from Congress merely due to her heinous commentaries that ranged from saying that 9/11 was an inside job, to asserting that mass shootings of children were staged, to advocacy of assassinating Democratic leaders.

Carlson’s outraged stemmed from the fact that Greene’s election wasn’t being respected by her colleagues and/or the media. Which is peculiar since Carlson didn’t show much respect for Joe Biden’s election by a decisive majority of the American people. Carlson wholeheartedly supported Donald Trump’s “Big Lie” that the election was stolen, despite the absence of any shred of evidence.

In a state of deranged incoherence, Carlson asserted that it was CNN who “gets the veto” of Greene’s congressional service. He whined that “CNN says she has bad opinions. Therefore, she’s the greatest threat we face.” But CNN never said any of that. Nor is there any truth to his claim that CNN was “trying to get [his show] pulled off the air by force.” And Carlson managed to ignore the fact that even the GOP leader in the Senate, Mitch McConnell, regarded Greene as a kook saying that “Loony lies and conspiracy theories are cancer for the Republican Party and our country.”

Finally, Carlson condemned all Democrats as a party that “can only hang together by collectively throwing rocks at whomever happens to be at the center of the hate circle on a particular day.” Has he ever watched his own show? Or any other show on Fox News? Or listened to his Dear Leader Trump? “Throwing rocks at those you hate” is the network’s motto. It’s engraved in the cornerstone of the Fox News headquarters. And it’s what Carlson did throughout this televised harangue. As usual.

Tucker Carlson of Fox News is Fomenting Civil War With Insanely Paranoid Lies

The purposeful betrayal of traditional American values by ultra-conservative shills marches on despite the electoral defeat and departure of the Traitor-in-Chief, Donald Trump. The parade is led, of course, by Fox News and their goose-stepping pack of lying propagandists whose mission is to advance the authoritarian interests of the GOP (Greedy One Percent).

Fox News, Tucker Carlson, Q Shaman

On Friday evening Fox’s Senior White Nationalist, Tucker Carlson, launched into another of his hallmark rants promoting hatred and division based on poorly constructed contrivances and deliberately repellent crock plots (video below). The only discernible purpose for this smug soliloquy is Carlson’s intentional aspiration to rile up his mentally unstable viewers. He plainly would like to see them reprise the violent insurrection they carried out on January 6th, but this time with even more casualties.

Carlson led off by attributing all manner of illicit behavior to Democrats that was concocted entirely within the confines of his diseased cranium. For instance, referring to the legal crackdown on Trump’s Seditionist Brigades, Carlson whined that…

“Democrats began crushing even the mildest dissent. They shut down an entire social media company called Parler, not because Parler had done anything wrong, but simply because they couldn’t control it. They couldn’t take the chance that somebody on Parler might criticize them, so they eliminated it.”

First of all, The Democratic Party did not shut down Parler, the abhorrent Twitter alternative for repulsive right-wingers. No political party has the legal authority to suppress the operation of a private business. And its demise had nothing to do with criticisms of Democrats. Parler was shut down when the company that hosted its website (Amazon Web Services) revoked their contract after they failed to comply with the terms of service and were found to be “a very real risk to public safety.” Despite repeated requests, Parler would not, or could not, moderate the content of their users who posted messages containing threats, harmful disinformation, and advocacy of violence. Apparently Carlson is now opposed to the free market. But he was just getting started…

“Then, two days ago, they arrested a man, threw him in handcuffs, brought him up on federal charges, because he made fun of Hillary Clinton on Twitter. That man is now facing ten years in prison.”

Of course Carlson’s horror story reconstruction is teetering on the flimsiest foundation of watered down, alternative facts. For the record, it was the Department of Justice (not Democrats) that arrested Douglass Mackey, alias “Ricky Vaughn,” an avowed white nationalist, on charges of interfering with the 2016 election. According to Media Matters “Mackey allegedly conspired to use social media to spread false information about voting in 2016 – specifically, claiming that people could text in their votes. Parts of the misinformation campaign appeared to target Black and Latino people.”

Once again, Carlson’s allegation – this time incorporating a bizarre swipe at Hillary Clinton – had no basis in reality. And then he continued…

“Democrats then declared war on their rival political party. Not, by the way, a metaphorical war, but an actual one, with soldiers, paramilitary law enforcement, and the world’s most powerful intelligence agencies. They denounced Republicans, even fairly moderate establishment figures who posed no conceivable threat to anyone, they denounced them as dangerous terrorists. They likened them to ISIS and Al Qaeda. And anyone who complained about this or fought back in any way was threatened with expulsion from Congress.”

Really? Carlson is asserting that Democrats engaged in an actual war against Republicans. He really needs to put down the crack pipe. What he is so badly misinterpreting is the police response to Trump’s Seditionist Brigades as they assaulted the United States Congress in an attempt to overthrow the government. They brutally beat police officers (so much for Blue Lives Matter), killing one, and openly sought members of Congress to assassinate them as well. Carlson describes these criminals as posing “no conceivable threat to anyone.” Well, to anyone but the five who were killed and the scores of others who were seriously injured.

The denunciation of these cretins as “terrorists” was entirely appropriate, by definition. And any member of Congress who supported them deserves to be expelled. Carlson is likely upset because, among other things, the Department of Homeland Security just released a report detailing the threat posed by right-wing extremists. It wasn’t ISIS or Al Qaeda who stormed the seat of American democracy. Finally, Carlson closed with this ironic thought…

“In other words, it doesn’t matter what voters decided in November, in the name of democracy you can longer serve in the Congress. That’s what they said.”

Nope, they never said that. Carlson is dredging up an utterly preposterous claim of attacking democracy, when that’s precisely what the hostile insurrectionists he’s defending were doing. Not to mention their Dear Leader Trump, who spent months attempting to overturn the democratic will of the people in dozens of lawsuits (that he lost), and the reckless and inflammatory rhetoric he spewed for months on end that produced the Capitol riots.

None of this is new for Carlson. He has frequently engaged in screeds that incite violence. He recently devoted a segment to defending the rights of his deranged audience to believe that Democrats are sex-trafficking baby-eaters. But in the end he will surely argue that he can’t be held liable for any of it because – and this is the actual defense his Fox News lawyers used – given his reputation, no reasonable person would believe anything he says. That is certainly true. The problem is that none of his viewers are reasonable, and they believe everything he says like the obedient and increasingly dangerous sheep that they are.

Tucker Carlson Defends Your Right To Believe That Democrats Eat Babies

The founding mission of Fox News was to advance the ultra-conservative agenda of its owner, Rupert Murdoch, and the Republican Party he supported. But in recent years it has shifted to an even more radical disseminator of propaganda on behalf of Donald Trump. And that has not waned in the weeks since Trump got his clock cleaned by Joe Biden.

Fox News, Tucker Carlson, QAnon

To the contrary, Fox News has actually made an even sharper turn to the right since the November election. They are devolving into paranoid whiners and elevating their most noxious Trump sycophants. And they have persisted in propagating Trump’s Big Lie of election fraud that resulted in the January 6th assault on Congress by Trump’s insurrectionists. It’s gotten so bad at Fox that even Rupert’s son, James, publicly denounced its “disinformation” and “toxic politics.”

No one on Fox News is more guilty of toxic, dishonest politics than Tucker Carlson. And on Monday night he seemed determined to prove that once and for all. Carlson aired a chilling monologue that he presented as an appeal for free speech and thought. And in a sick and twisted way, it was (video below).

Carlson’s segment sported a graphic that read “DEMS ARE TRYING TO CONTROL WHAT YOU BELIEVE,” although he never presented a single example of that. He began his demented dissertation on the dangers of censorship by sarcastically pronouncing that “The real threat is a forbidden idea, it’s something called QAnon.” Whereupon he played a video compilation of the media accurately condemning the conspiracy crackpottery of QAnon, a shadowy, dark web cabal of lunatics who believe that Democrats are sex-trafficking baby-eaters.

Carlson, however, has a different opinion. In his diseased mind he is protecting the freedom to malign public servants with bizarre and baseless accusations that would be preposterous in D- horror flick. To Carlson, the freedom to defame is a foundational American principle for which “the stakes could not be higher.”

Elaborating, Carlson said that “There’s a clear line between democracy and tyranny. Between self-government and dictatorship. And here’s what that line is: That line is your conscience.” He said that while government can tell people what to do, it cannot tell people what to think. “Once politicians attempt to tell you what to believe,” Carlson warned, “they are no longer politicians. They are, by definition, dictators. And if they succeed in controlling what you believe you are no longer a citizen. You are not a free man. You are a slave.”

Carlson clearly likes to imagine that he’s an intellectual thinker with profound insights. But it’s obvious that he’s teetering on the edge of clinical imbecility. Telling people what to believe is not a defining characteristic of dictatorships, that lean more toward force than belief. What Carlson is describing is a cult. Which is what Fox News viewers – including Carlson’s – are willing and pathetic members of.

Carlson’s tirade accused Democrats of having “joined the mob of censors and hysterics and Jacobin destroyers, all working on behalf of entrenched power, to take control of everything.” Never mind that he couldn’t cite any Democrats who espoused that alleged aspiration of tyranny. But then again, he doesn’t have to. Fox News lawyers actually argued successfully in court that Carlson cannot not be held liable for the lies he tells because he “cannot be understood to have been stating facts,” and that “given Mr. Carlson’s reputation, any reasonable viewer ‘arrive[s] with an appropriate amount of skepticism’ about the statements he makes.”

In other words, No reasonable viewer would believe Carlson’s BS. That’s according to the Fox News lawyer speaking on Carlson’s behalf. The problem is that Carlson doesn’t have any reasonable viewers. So the cult disciples he’s disinforming on a nightly basis will blindly buy into whatever he says.

The same goes for the rest of the professional liars at Fox News. And as Carlson said above, “If they succeed in controlling what you believe you are no longer a citizen. You are not a free man. You are a slave.” Sadly, Fox News has been pretty successful at controlling what their audience believes. As has Donald Trump. Even sadder, they enjoy being slaves.
