Has Fox News Finally Figured it Out? ‘This is Why Conservatives Call the GOP the Stupid Party’

If it seems to you like every day Republicans in Congress do something new to humiliate themselves, while advancing their ultra-rightist smear campaigns against President Biden and other Democrats, and sucking up to their Dear Leader Donald Trump, then it’s clear that you are paying attention.

Donald Trump, Republican, GOP

It’s almost as if the GOP is purposefully planning these embarrassing political pratfalls as their strategy for winning back the White House. What else could explain stunts like the one that Marjorie Taylor Greene just pulled by filing a motion to oust House Speaker Mike Johnson after only five months as Speaker? And recall that he got that post because Republicans ousted the previous Speaker, Kevin McCarthy, after only nine months.

SEE THIS: DO-NOTHING CONGRESS? The Republican House of Representatives is the Most Productive Ever (LOL)

The reaction to Green’s motion has been swift and hilarious. Most of her GOP colleagues have condemned her for reinforcing the accurate impression that the Republican Party is populated by idiots and is awash in chaos. But those condemning her are doing their own part in reinforcing that impression. They surely are not exhibiting the unity that Trump recently bragged about…

SEE ALSO: REALLY? Dementia Addled Trump Babbles that ‘I Have Never Seen the Republican Party So Unified’

And if that weren’t bad enough, Fox News isn’t taking any of this very well. It is presenting them with more obstacles to their propaganda mission of propping up Republicans and Trump-fluffing. That was glaringly evident in the monologue of Fox’s Laura Ingraham who whined that…

“I have been in Washington for 30 years. I have never witnessed what I’m witnessing now. A party with a narrow majority in the House of Representatives – everything on the line in the country – but committing a slow suicide. This is why conservatives call the GOP the stupid party.”

First of all, it isn’t conservatives calling the GOP “The Stupid Party” (which would make a great new name for them). It is mainstream Republicans and most Americans. If anything, it’s the conservatives like Greene and the GOP’s Freedom Caucus who are attacking Johnson, advocating extremist policies (i.e. banning abortion, cutting Social Security, etc.), and generally spreading around the stupid.

What’s more, Ingraham is complaining about the GOP being incapable of governing with their “narrow” and shrinking majority. But she is steadfastly against working with Democrats on compromise legislation such as funding the government, securing the border, or providing aid to Ukraine. She and her right-wing confederates have no positive solutions to the nation’s problems. Instead, they are laser focused on impeaching President Biden and maligning his family and Cabinet. It is that agenda that is causing their “slow suicide.”

However, Ingraham is not alone. Her Fox News comrade, and former Trump press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany, joined the pile-on following Green’s Johnson-busting business. On Friday’s episode of Fox’s “Outnumbered” McEnany offered a uniquely perverse point of view…

“So, Marjorie Taylor Greene said ‘I have not talked to president Trump about this.’ Largely president Trump and Speaker Mike Johnson have had a great relationship. Speaker Mike Johnson just put out a piece congratulating him on securing the nomination. I think it’s a pretty big voice you would want to get input from since he’s the titular head of the party at the moment.”

What McEnany is proposing is that Trump be given the right of approval as to who Republicans in the House choose to lead their party. Never mind that the Constitution explicitly divides the government into three independent branches. McEnany would do away with the principle of “separation of powers” so that Trump could reign as a monarch, imposing his will on the legislative and judicial branches, in addition to the executive. Which, by the way, he does not currently occupy.

This is just further evidence that the Stupid Party is more of a cult than a political enterprise. And it’s Ministry of Propaganda (aka Fox News) is fully on board with elevating Dear Leader Trump to messiah status as they pray for him to be their savior. But if the abject foolishness of Republicans is regarded as the party having committed suicide, it is one that will benefit the nation and its citizens, So perhaps a more fitting description for the demise of the GOP is that it’s a mercy killing.

Trump’s Lawyer on Fox News Refuses to Rule Out Getting Russia to Pay His $454 Million Judgment

The trials and tribulations of Donald Trump continue to trigger his ultra-thin, spray-tanned skin. He is currently sweating out at least 88 felony charges on matters ranging from election interference, to stealing and hoarding classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago hotel/home. He’s already been been found civilly liable for defamation and sexual assault, and financial fraud.

Donald Trump Vladimir Putin

With regard to the financial fraud affair, Trump was ordered to pay $454 million in penalties for deliberately misstating the value of his assets in order to fraudulently obtain more favorable terms for loans and tax obligations. Ever since then, Trump has been whining petulantly about being held accountable for his gross misconduct, for which he thinks he should have “total immunity.”

SEE THIS: Felonious Punk Trump Demands ‘TOTAL IMMUNITY’ – Even for Acts that ‘CROSS THE LINE’

The nearly half billion dollars Trump now owes is weighing considerably on him financially and emotionally. He is complaining that he cannot come up with the money to pay the judgement, or a bond to guarantee it. Never mind that he and his attorneys have previously insisted that he has more than enough to cover the judgment. In a deposition he gave last year Trump claimed that “We have a lot of cash. Substantially in excess of $400 million in cash…and going up very substantially every month.”

That appears to be another Trump lie. In a comment posted to his floundering Truth Social scam, he is now declaring that the judgment is “impossible” for him pay. He called the judge a “Radical Left…true Trump Hater” and lied that “When I win the Appeal, all of that money is gone.” For the record, he is unlikely to win the appeal,, but even if he did, the money would then be returned to him.

Meanwhile, Trump’s parking lot lawyer, Alina Habba, was on Fox News again demonstrating her extraordinary ability to make things far worse for her client than prior to her babbling interview. In an exchange with Fox News host Marth MacCallum, Habba implicated Trump in some international intrigue…

MacCallum: Is there any effort on the part of your team to secure this money through another country, Saudi Arabia or Russia, as Joy Behar seems to think?”
Habba: Well, there’s rules and regulations that are public. I can’t speak about strategy, that requires certain things and we have to follow those rules. Like I said, this is manifest injustice. It is impossible — it is an impossibility. I believe they knew that…It’s the demise of our country, not the demise of Trump.

And there you have it. Habba could have easily denied that Trump would ever consider seeking funds from foreign dictators to satisfy his personal legal bills. But she didn’t. And the prospect of Trump keeping that option open makes him a grave threat to national security. He would be beholden to the likes of Vladimir Putin or Mohammed bin Salman.

Even before this revelation, it was apparent that Trump is threat to American democracy. He incited a violent insurrection in an attempt steal the 2020 election. He has yearned for the tyrannical powers of dictators like Putin, Xi Jinping, and Kim Jong Un. He pledges to persecute and imprison his political foes. He has said that he would “terminate” parts of the Constitution.

SEE ALSO: Trump Literally Calls for Termination of the Constitution and FREAKS OUT Over Bogus Fox News Story

Trump even said explicitly – more than once – that he would rule as a dictator “on day one.” And anyone who believes that he would relinquish his dictatorship the next day is terminally naïve, or a MAGA cult disciple. Which is, of course, redundant. It would have made much more sense if that’s what Habba really had in mind when she warned about “the demise of our country.” But unfortunately, she is just as compromised and anti-American as Trump.

The Biden-Harris Campaign Exposes the GOP’s Bogus and Failed Biden Probe – on Truth Social

Fourteen months ago Republicans assumed a razor-thin majority in the House of Representatives. What they have done with it since then is a masterclass in incompetence, failure, and humiliation. They have chosen to conduct the business of government in a manner that replicates how Donald Trump conducts business – by driving it into bankruptcy.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump, Congress, Mike Johnson

After taking fifteen votes to select their first Speaker, Kevin McCarthy, the Republicans threw him out after only none months. Then they spent three weeks to select their replacement, Mike Johnson, who was their fourth choice. And throughout all of this infighting and chaos, they have managed to score a modern day record for low productivity, essentially accomplishing nothing on behalf of the people they allegedly represent.

SEE THIS: DO-NOTHING CONGRESS? The Republican House of Representatives is the Most Productive Ever (LOL)

Having nothing affirmative to run on, Republicans decided that their only recourse was to stage phony investigations and baseless impeachment inquiries aimed at smearing President Biden, his family, and other Democrats. But even that has ended in abject failure because of one slight flaw in their strategy: They have absolutely zero evidence of any wrongdoing on Biden’s part. In fact, most of their own witnesses have testified that Biden never engaged in anything improper, much less illegal. Consequently, their defamatory scheme is falling apart and will likely be abandoned. As reported on CNN…

“This is not how Republicans thought their 15 month investigation would be going. When they got the majority, investigating the President and his family was a huge focus, But after 15 months pouring over a hundred thousand bank records, interviewing around 40 people, including the President’s son, Hunter, and brother James, their business associates, Department of Justice officials, IRS whistleblowers, Republicans haven’t found any evidence of wrongdoing by the President, and they don’t have the votes to impeach

To make matters worse for Republicans and Trump, this segment from CNN outlining the failure of the Republican smear job was also posted on Trump’s failing social media scam, Truth Social, by the Biden-Harris campaign. Of course, most of the users of that website won’t care much about reporting from CNN, but it still expands the exposure of this news into territory it might not otherwise reach.

However, the story doesn’t stop with CNN. The futility of the GOP’s fake probes has been so obvious that even Fox News had to acknowledge it. In a segment reporting on the current state of the GOP’s inquisition and the prospects for a Biden impeachment, Fox’s Shannon Bream reported that…

“I think it’s increasingly unlikely…I think Republicans are trying to be realistic with the margins that they have. And the Speaker seems to signaling that ‘maybe we’re not gonna push this to the floor for a vote.'”

That’s right. According to Fox News, the GOP doesn’t even have enough votes among their majority to pass the articles of impeachment that they have been yammering about for nearly a year and a half. To be sure, some of the hardcore deadenders will continue to try to push this nonsense. But they will soon tire of beating that deceased old nag. And when they do, the Biden-Harris account on Truth Social will let all of the Trump cultists know what is actually going on.

White House Seeks Retraction from Fox News of Biden Smears By GOP and Russian Indicted for Lying

For nearly a year now, the Republican Party has been desperately struggling to invent pseudo-scandals and contrived crimes that they could pin on President Biden and use to justify their preposterous and ponderously partisan impeachment plot. Those efforts have produced nothing that is even remotely incriminating against Biden. But they have produced plenty of humiliation for the GOP.

Fox News, Joe Biden, Fake News

A major component of the GOP’s smear campaign was delivered by a shady character, Alexander Smirnov, who is now in jail after having been indicted for fabricating his whole story and lying to authorities about it. Smirnov has also been found to have unsavory links to the Russian intelligence operations that have conducted election interference campaigns in the U.S. And the questions about his lack of credibility are nothing new. Fox News even noted it way back in July of 2023.

SEE THIS: UH-OH: Even Fox News Rejects the GOP’s ‘Evidence’ to Impeach Biden as ‘Completely Unverified’

Despite the obvious faults and falsehoods in the fables being told by Republicans like Jim Jordan and James Comer, and their Ministry of Propaganda agents on Fox News, such as Sean Hannity, Jesse Watters, and Laura Ingraham, these deliberate defamers have stuck to their stories and are still refusing to tell the truth. Consequently, the White House is taking steps to get some corrections on the record

“The White House is demanding that Fox News retract or revise its coverage of claims that Joe Biden was involved in a multi-million dollar bribery scheme after the key witness in the allegation was indicted for making it all up.

In a letter to top executives, Ian Sams, White House spokesman for oversight and investigations, cited Fox News Digital stories on the bribery claims, including ones headlined ‘The Explosive New Evidence of Biden Family’s Breathtaking Corruption,’ labeled an opinion piece from Gregg Jarrett, and ‘Joe Biden Allegedly Paid $5M By Burisma Executive As Part of Bribery Scheme, According to FBI Document,’ a story from Brooke Singman. Other stories reported that the allegations came from a ‘highly credible” source.'”

Sams further noted that…

“Despite this, Fox has taken no steps to retract, correct or update its reporting on this false allegation from 2023.” [And that the White House feels strongly that Fox’s stories] “at a minimum be updated with editor’s notes informing readers that the source of this allegation has been federally indicted for making it up.” [And that Fox News] “inform their viewers on air that they have been sharing a discredited allegation.”

The White House shouldn’t hold their breath waiting for Fox News to comply with this request. They knew that what they had reported was unverified and likely untrue at the time. They didn’t care. Their purpose is not to report the news. It is to disseminate propaganda that maligns Biden and other Democrats, and to advance the prospects of Trump and his MAGA GOP.

That’s why Fox News reported what were known lies in the first place. And it’s why they won’t consider making any retractions, corrections, or apologies now that their lies, and the lying liar they relied on, have been exposed to the world. Undeterred by journalistic integrity, or even morality, Fox News will remain steadfastly true to their mission of deceit and right-wing propaganda. It’s what they’ve done from their inception, and they aren’t about to stop now.

Nevertheless, it is appropriate that the White House make a good faith attempt to set the record straight, no matter how unlikely that it is that Fox will decide to be honest – for a change.

OOPS: Fox News Host Spills that Trump Couldn’t Answer Questions About ‘Ensuring’ Fair Elections

In November of 2020, Joe Biden won a historic election wherein he defeated an incumbent who maligned Biden as a mentally impaired, radical leftist who was stealing the election. So Donald Trump was, in effect, conceding that, despite his being president, he couldn’t stop someone he regarded as a senile communist from committing unprecedented voter fraud.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump, Fox News

It’s been more than three years since Trump decisively lost his reelection bid to President Biden. But he is still obsessed with babbling about the alleged election fraud for which he has failed to produce a sliver of proof after more than 60 court cases, dozens of state audits, and innumerable promises of revealing what he claimed was “irrefutable” evidence.

SEE THIS: YEAH, RIGHT! Trump Promises an ‘Irrefutable,’ ‘Completely Exonerating’ Report on Election Fraud

In the intervening years, Trump has relied on his Ministry of Propaganda – aka Fox News – to buttress his baseless allegations and spread malicious lies intended to delegitimize Biden’s presidency. However, after being slapped with a $787 million judgment for defamation related to their election fraud deceit, the Fox News mission to furiously defend Trump at all times has gotten a bit wobbly in the knees.

That weakness has manifested in sometimes careless leaking of unfavorable information about Trump. And on Monday morning one of Fox’s most worshipful Trump-fluffers, Maria Bartiromo, inadvertently let just such a derogatory mention slip out. In an interview with Republican Rep. Claudia Tenney, Bartiromo inquired as to what Republicans were doing to prevent future election fraud…

“I asked Trump all about this. I kept saying to him, ‘What are you doing to ensure a fair and free election in November?’ He had no answers. I mean, what has the RNC done? What are the governors doing? So let me ask you…What specifically can you tell us that you and your colleagues have done to ensure a free and fair election in November?”

Rep. Tenney replied with a classic word salad response that offered nothing specific, other than having held meetings with “great governors like Gov. DeSantis” and “putting boots on the ground.”

However, Bartiromo’s question contained something a bit more newsworthy than Kenney’s politically rote reply. She revealed that all of her prior attempts to get Trump to explain what he would do to “ensure a fair and free election” were met with blank stares. That’s unusual for Trump, who is known for his ability to fill airtime with empty blathering, self-exaltations, and hostile insults, often completely ignoring the question that was asked.

Of course the reason that Trump had no answers for how he would ensure fair elections is two fold. First, he has no answers because he is an ignoramous who can’t think his way out of a paper bag. And Second, because there are no answers needed. The election wasn’t marred by election fraud to begin with. That’s something that even Fox News host Bret Baier pressed Trump on recently…

It’s notable that Trump argued with Baier by pushing already debunked lies and interjecting things that were unrelated to the question. Baier wasn’t accepting those evasions. He even returned to the question to ask if the diversions Trump spewed were how he was going to restore support from the female independent suburban voters he was losing.

Not to worry though. Sean Hannity, Jesse Watters, Laura Ingraham, and the “Curvy Couch” potatoes of Fox and Friends are all still solidly in Trump’s camp.

REALLY? Dementia Addled Trump Babbles that ‘I Have Never Seen the Republican Party So Unified’

The 2024 presidential election cycle has been dominated in the media by questions of the mental acuity of both candidates. It’s not a particularly fair contest considering that President Biden’s alleged signs of aging are generally harmless verbal glitches that were common in his youth, while Donald Trump’s are frightening expressions of vengeance, aspirations of tyranny, or just plain incoherence.

Donald Trump, Republican, GOP

Trump’s remarks prior to and following the South Carolina Republican primary affirm the fragility of his psychological state. Among his mental malfunctions were his tribute to the violent January 6th insurrectionists; his fear mongering about “terrorist” migrants who speak “languages nobody has ever heard of;” and his comparison of his 91 felony charges, that were issued by citizen grand juries, to “Stalinist show trials.” He was so debilitated that even Fox News couldn’t pretend anymore.

SEE THIS: Fox News Host Neil Cavuto Interrupts Trump’s Lying to Note ‘He’s Not Entitled to His Own Facts’

Naturally, Trump’s notorious narcissism and massive ego were on full display. And never more so than when he attempted to glorify himself and his supposed blowout victory. Despite defeating his opponent, Nikki Haley, by about twenty points – after he predicted it would be thirty or forty – Trump had the audacity to proclaim that…

“There’s never been a spirit – ever – there’s never been a spirit like this. And I just want to say I have never seen the Republican party so unified as it is right now.”

WHUT? No rational person could describe losing 40% of your own party’s vote as a show unity. And that’s what happened, not just in South Carolina, but in New Hampshire and Iowa as well. By contrast, Biden won 96% of the vote in South Carolina’s Democratic primary. That’s unity.

What’s more, does Trump see GOP unity in Congress, where Republicans took 15 votes to elect Kevin McCarthy Speaker? Nine months later they booted him out. Then it took three weeks to replace him with Mike Johnson, who was their fourth choice, after Steve Scalise, Jim Jordan, and Tom Emmer failed. And they have been unable to pass critical legislation to fund the government, secure the border, or aid America’s allies in Israel and Ukraine. If anything, Trump has unified the GOP for its own destruction.

Once again, let’s see what Fox News had to say about Trump’s boasting of party unity. This time from Fox anchor John Roberts…

“The real key here is that 59% of Haley voters say that they would not vote for Donald Trump should he become the nominee. That tracks to about 24% of the Republican Party.”

Indeed, this is key. Because there is little hope for Trump to prevail in the general election if he can’t hold more than 60% of his GOP base. And these are not simply people who chose a different candidate in the primary. They are declaring that they won’t for Trump in the general election either.

Trump’s dementia has to be pretty bad for Fox News to notice it. But apparently, it has to be even worse for Trump to notice it. He told his cult followers at CPAC not to worry, because…

“There is no cognitive problem. If there was I’d know about it. In fact, if there was, you’ll be the first to know. Because I will tell you.”

Of course. And everyone knows that Trump would readily observe any cognitive decline that he might suffer, and he would immediately declare it to the world. Just like he’s declaring the unprecedented unity of the MAGA Republican Party that regularly throws their own under a caravan of buses, and can’t pass any significant bills if their lives depended on it. But never fear. Trump will keep us posted if his brain ceases to function. That should make his cult disciples feel better.

Fox News Host Neil Cavuto Interrupts Trump’s Lying to Note ‘He’s Not Entitled to His Own Facts’

Future psychiatrists and historians are going to have a field day exploring the paranoia, narcissism, and crybaby theatrics of Donald Trump. His deep-seated perceptions of victimhood form the foundation of his persistent hostility and emotionally disturbed detachment from reality. It’s a classic case of self-deception that is buttressed by his blindly devoted cult followers.

Donald Trump, Wah

The trials and tribulation of Trump are hard enough for him to handle when all he has to worry about are the “communists, fascists, thugs, and lunatics,” of the Democratic Party, the “fake news,” and the “Deep State” sponsored “witch hunts” conducted by President Biden’s “Department of Injustice.” But when his own Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News, is less than zealously committed to his deceits, be prepared for the ensuing fireworks.

FOR INSTANCE: Trump Goes on Psycho-Rant Accusing Fox News of Sabotaging Him with Bad Pictures and Polls

On Friday Fox News host Neil Cavuto briefly stepped off of the Trump train to deliver a bit of what we call journalism. In the midst of one of Trump’s cult rally speeches, Cavuto cut in for some fact-checking. That’s something that Fox News is not accustomed to doing. In fact, it is generally frowned upon at Fox. But on this occasion Cavuto went rogue. He broke away from the Trump Show to advise his viewers that…

“We’re continuing monitoring the president’s remarks, and I mean no offense to him, some of you might want to continue to hear him, but I did have to say that even though the former president is entitled to his opinions, he’s not entitled to his own set of facts. The market has indeed been going up and having nothing to do with him […] So that whether you want to give Biden credit for that, it has nothing to do with Donald Trump.

“Furthermore, he mentioned about gas prices out of whack at $6.00 a gallon. The national average right now is $3.26 a gallon.

“He went on to talk about the 2020 election and how that was ‘rigged.’ This has been adjudicated many, many times. Dozens of times. It’s been investigated by everyone and his uncle. No fewer than 44 investigations launched – some of them by judges that were picked by Donald Trump himself – that found no evidence of that in the seven battleground states where most of them were focused. Donald Trump lost each and every one of those states.”

Well said! But while Cavuto should be commended for setting the record straight on these matters, it barely scratches the surface of Trump’s pathological lying. And it’s important to remember that Fox devotes far more of its airtime – especially in primetime – defending Trump’s lies than correcting them. However, this is the second time this month that Fox has contradicted the Trumpian right-wing narrative. Trump’s former National Economic Council director, Larry Kudlow, diverted from Trump orthodoxy to praise recent economic data saying that…

“We had a blowout jobs report. More than twice the consensus expectations. Now, I know many of my conservative friends are trying to drill holes in this report. But you know what, folks? It is what it is. It’s a very strong report.”

While these exceptions to the Fox rule are welcome, Trump is still being coddled in other segments that go out of their way to stir fear and despair. For example, on Friday Fox host Lawrence Jones asked Trump what his “final message” was for the primary voters in South Carolina. Trump was decidedly dystopian saying that…

“We’re gonna make America great again. We have a real problem. Our country has never been this way. It’s never been so dangerous. They’re so sick. [rambling lies about immigration] He’s destroying our country. He’s a horrible president.”

So danger, sickness and destruction, are the key descriptors of Trump’s America. Which is nothing new for him. President Biden, on the other hand, was considerably more optimistic, encouraging, and patriotic, saying that…

“Inflation is now lower in America than any other major economy in the world. We have more to do, but we’re seeing real evidence that American consumers are feeling real confidence in their economy again.”

Those two statements convey the difference between the attitudes of these two men. Trump is an angry, vengeful prophet of doom. Biden is the voice of hope and the promise of America. The American people will choose between them in November. And it shouldn’t be a particularly difficult choice.

Trump Gets Brutally Fact-Checked Following His Fawning Fox News Town Hall with Laura Ingraham

The frequency with which Donald Trump has been found to have deliberately lied has exceeded every standard for measurement. He simply does it too often, and too flagrantly, to keep up with. At this point it would be easier to document the extremely rare instances of Trump saying something that is even marginally true.

Donald Trump, Fox News, Lies

On Tuesday night Fox News Senior Trump-Fluffer, Laura Ingraham, hosted yet another town hall for the former reality TV game show host. And true to form, throughout the event Trump awkwardly avoided any answers that resembled reality. It’s an achievement that would impress modern history’s most accomplished political prevaricators, from Richard Nixon to George Santos. And naturally, Fox News provided the platform for Trump’s puerile duplicity.

SEE ALSO: Trump-Fluffing Fox News Host Doesn’t Get It: You Have to Hate Trump to Love America

Following the free airtime that Fox News gifted to Trump’s reelection campaign, CNN’s Daniel Dale delved into the answers Trump gave and, to no one’s surprise, found that they were almost entirely bullpucky. In an abbreviated segment that only touched the surface of Trump’s dishonesty, Dale disclosed the following failures of the fact-challenged Trump and his facilitators on Fox News (video below)

On U.S. aid to Ukraine vs aid from the E.U.:
Trump: We’re in for over $200 billion. They’re in for $35 billion.
Dale: Those numbers appear pulled out of thin air. They’re not even close to true. According to one reputable tracker of aid to Ukraine, the Kiel Institute, which is based in Germany, is actually E.U. countries and E.U. institutions that are far outpacing the U.S. when it comes to aid commitments to Ukraine, $156 billion for the E.U. starting in 2022 around when the war began, to $73 billion to the U.S.

On allegedly stopping the Nord Stream 2 pipeline:
Trump: I stopped it. I told Germany you’re not having it. I told all of Europe you’re not having it…I ended it.
Dale: What Trump actually did was approve sanctions on some of the companies working on the project. But here’s the critical thing. He only did that about three years into his presidency, when the pipeline was already about 90 percent completed. And even after he imposed those sanctions, the Russian state-owned company behind the pipeline said, okay, fine, we’ll just complete it ourselves.

On his illegal possession of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago:
Trump: Everybody took them out. It only became a big subject when I took things out…The difference is I had what’s called the Presidential Records Act. I was allowed to do what I did.
Dale: Reagan and Bush did not take classified documents home. In fact, the National Archives debunked this claim last year when Trump made it then. He was not allowed to take these documents. It is in black and white in the Presidential Records Act that all official records belong to the government after a president leaves office.

On the FBI search of Mar-a-Lago:
Trump: We were talking, and then all of a sudden they raided Mar-a-Lago.
Dale: In fact, the FBI search in Mar-a-Lago came more than a year after the National Archives started its polite asking to try to get these documents back.

And that was just for starters. Some of the other lies and ludicrous claims that Trump unleashed, but that Dale didn’t have time to cover, included…

“If you have mail-in voting you automatically have fraud.”
Not only is there no evidence of that, but Trump routinely votes by mail.

First thing he’ll do on the border if reelected: “Drill baby, drill”
That, of course, has nothing to do with the border, Also, The U.S. is currently producing more oil than ever, and more than any other country.

“We have a new category of crime called migrant crime.”
Another crisis that Trump has made up. What’s more, crime is down nationally during the Biden administration.

On his $355 million judgment: “It’s a form of Navalny” (and communism and fascism).
This hardly requires a response. However… Alexey Navalny was a courageous advocate of democracy. Trump is a notorious coward and crybaby. and he clearly doesn’t know what the words communism or fascism mean.

It’s too bad that Trump’s cult followers aren’t going to hear the truth about his incessant lies. Although, even when they do they don’t believe it. That’s the nature of a cult. But it is still necessary to have honest rebuttals to the falsehoods spread by Trump, Fox News, and most of the MAGA-infected Republican Party. We can’t allow them to control the narrative in the media.

Trump-Fluffing Fox News Host Doesn’t Get It: You Have to Hate Trump to Love America

There has been a barrage of bad news for Donald Trump lately. Last week the New York Attorney General, Letitia James, won a civil lawsuit against Trump that resulted in a $350 million judgment for his having falsified financial statements. That followed a civil judgment of $83 million against him for the defamation and rape of writer E. Jean Carroll. And a date has been set for next month for his trial on charges of paying hush money to adult film star, Stormy Daniels.

These cases do not even include the 91 felony counts for the criminal charges that are still pending. Trump’s legal problems continue to eat away at what remains of his cognitive functionality. And that mental breakdown is evident in the rancid rants at his cult rallies and on his increasingly incoherent comments on his failing social media scam, Truth Social.

But never fear. Trump’s Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News, is hard at work covering up Trump’s emotional and intellectual defects. Whether it is his demands that he be allowed to commit any crime he wants without consequences, or his subservient encouragement to Vladimir Putin to attack America’s NATO allies. Fox News finds a way to sanitize his overtly traitorous tendencies. For example, on Monday morning Lisa Boothe, co-host of Fox’s Outnumbered, unleashed this sycophantic slop…

“These people clearly hate Trump more than they love America. And by the time they finally get him, if they ever do, what’s going to become of the country? Think of all the damage these threats to democracy people have done as they burn the country down to try to get him.

“No one trusts elections anymore after they upended the system during COVID, a virus almost as deadly as the flu. As they upended the process with mail-in balloting and trying to take Trump off the ballot. No one trusts the rule of law anymore. It doesn’t exist as they’ve used it weaponized against Donald Trump. The media debased itself lying about Donald Trump.”

Let’s just set aside the utterly insane dismissal of COVID as “a virus almost as deadly as the flu.” COVID has at least a 60% higher fatality rate than the flu. Moving on, someone needs to explain to Boothe that it’s possible – even necessary – to hate Trump in order to love America. And that’s true specifically because of the things that Boothe enumerates- albeit inadvertently – in her spiel. Such as…

  • The fact that it is Trump who is the “threat to democracy.”
  • That Trump literally tried to “burn the country down” via his incitement of an insurrection on January 6, 2021.
  • That Trump has fomented distrust of elections with his refusal to accept his loss to President Biden, and his relentless lies about election fraud that he has never been able to prove.
  • That Trump promoted gross disrespect for the rule of law by repeatedly breaking it and disparaging the American system of justice.
  • And it is Fox News that best represents “media [that] debased itself lying about Donald Trump.”

Any American patriot with open eyes can see that it is impossible to love America without hating Trump and his determination to destroy what America stands for. And that goes for Fox News too. This pathetic embrace of Trump’s venality is just more proof that Fox is a purposefully anti-American enterprise that only serves the interests our enemies.

LOCK HER UP: NY Attorney General Letitia James Took Off Her Shoes During Trump’s Fraud Hearing

This week there was a historic court judgment against a former president of the United States. Donald Trump was found to have committed massive fraud in an effort to enrich himself via favorable loan and insurance rates that he was not entitled to. The court imposed a $350 million penalty on Trump.

Donald Trump WTF

Needless to say, Trump and his legal team were not pleased with that ruling. As usual Trump delivered a stream of frenzied posts on his failing social media scam, Truth Social, that continued his relentless and childish insults aimed at the judge, the prosecutors, witnesses, and media.

However, in a bid to outdo Trump’s own berserk behavior, his lawyer, Alina Habba, rushed into the warm arms of Sean Hannity on Fox News to whine about what a terrible world they are forced to live in. A world where criminals are held accountable for their crimes, and where there are consequences for deliberate violations of the law.

What made Habba’s appearance on Hannity’s show even more amusing, is how she chose to defend Trump following the devastating judgment against him. Did she bring up any legal arguments that attest to his innocence? Did she cite any flaws in the court’s procedures? Did she offer any proof of bias? Nope. Here is what Habba felt was her most compelling rebuttal to the ruling…

“Ms. James had her shoes off in court. Let’s not forget that. I called it out in the closing arguments. But it’s true. She had a Starbucks coffee in her hand. She wasn’t doing work, and she wasn’t sitting at the counsel table. She was in the back with her shoes off and a coffee. And at the end of the day, we’re sitting there looking at this going ‘this is the state of our country.'”

That’s right! New York Attorney General Letitia James had the audacity to briefly remove her shoes while watching the proceedings. And to make matters worse, she was DCWB (Drinking Coffee While Barefoot). These will surely be among Habba’s main points in her motion to appeal. But she went on to say that…

“AGs are so comfortable in court that they know they don’t even have to do the job. They don’t have to do the work. They’re going to let their people do it, and they’re going to sit there and they’re going to win. That’s a problem. So we will go to the next level. We are going to people that aren’t running on a campaign, running to get Trump before they are event in office, and we will win.”

Apparently Habba thinks that Attorneys General take the lead in prosecutions conducted by their office. That is almost never true. They are managers, more often than litigators. So James was, in fact, doing her job. Not that Habba really cares about that.

As for James being “comfortable in court” with the prospect of winning, why wouldn’t she be? The mountain of evidence against Trump was as good a predictor of success as any prosecutor has ever had. Judge Engoron noted that “this defense is wholly undercut by the overwhelming evidence adduced at trial.”

So shoes or not, James was understandably comfortable. And Trump is just as understandably scared. This was a devastating civil judgment, but the criminal cases are still to come.
