The Morning After: Glenn Beck’s CPAC Wake Up Call

I just thought I’d leave you with some of the wit and wisdom of Glenn Beck at CPAC. I am so tempted to leave the rest of this post blank, but…..

The man who identifies himself as a rodeo clown also says this:

“America is not a clown show. America is not a circus. America is an idea.”

Beck’s idea of America is pretty depressing:

“I have for four years now been ringing the bell. Economic Holocaust is coming. Economic day of reckoning is coming. And for a long time nobody would listen. Aw, he’s a crazy crackpot just trying to stir people up.”

Beck finds it tedious when no one listens to him:

“I’m tired of feeling like a freak in America and I know so many of you are too.”

His problem isn’t that no one is listening. It’s that they hear him all too well.

“We will be so tired. But when we put our head down on our pillow to go to sleep again that night, we can be happy because we know tomorrow it will again be morning in America.”

Awesome! We can all be happy because after we go to bed at night we will wake up and it will be morning. Who’da thunk? The problem is that Beck’s morning after is a continuation of the nightmare:

“It just happens to be kind of a head-pounding, hung-over, vomiting-for-four-hours kind of morning in America. And it’s shaping up to be kind of a nasty day.”

Thanks for the inspirational sermon, Glenn.

  1. Predatory Lending is a major contributor to the economic turmoil we are currently experiencing.

Here is an example of what I am talking about:
Scott Veerkamp / Predatory Lending (Franklin Township School Board Member.)

Please review this information from U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley regarding deceptive lending practices:
“Steering payments were made to brokers who enticed unsuspecting homeowners into deceptive and expensive mortgages. These secret bonus payments, often called Yield Spread Premiums, turned home mortgages into a SCAM.”

The Center for Responsible Lending says YSP “steals equity from struggling families.”
    1. Scott collected nearly $10,000 on two separate mortgages using YSP and junk fees. 2. This is an average of $5,000 per loan. 3. The median value of the properties was $135,000. 4. Clearly, this type of lending represents a major ripoff for consumers.

  2. Yes Canada for sure!!! As all of us in the left agree tolarance and freedom of speech is paramount in this great country….well unless you disagree with it that is. I say everyone we disagree with should move to Canada! Imagine just for a second if half of the things Beck says come to fruition…. Sad day for America… but Im sure the govt will just print up more money. Its worked so far right! Do not let common sense ever get in the way of ideology. Ever!!!

    Regards

Keith (could people please watch my show pls) Oberman

    • people do, and it’s not about disagreeing. it’s about making up crap and calling them facts.

  3. I always thought America was a land mass. guess Beck knows better.

  4. Yes Beck is certainly on the dramatic side. Im really searching for something that he has said that is not factually correct so I can argue with my small goverment, goverment is not the answer friends so I can sway their point of view. As Im sure you would agree that Beck is now Michael Moore of the right. I would like to try to discredit his arguements so they see the light!!! please help!

    • Something Beck said that is not factually correct? How much time do you have?

Here are a few you can start with:

Van Jones is a convicted felon – LIE
      ACORN receiving billions – LIE
Eco-terrorists bombed radio tower in Washington – LIE
1.7 million tea baggers at 9/12 rally – LIE
UAW workers earn average $154.00 per hour – LIE
Carbon dioxide not a dangerous pollutant – LIE

That should get you started. Plus his version of history (progressives aligned with fascism?) is riddled with falsehoods. And his interpretation of the art and architecture of Manhattan is hilariously stupid and untrue.
