Trump is Suffering From a Severe Case of Self-Deception on a Level Never Seen Before

With less than two months until Election Day, predictions about the outcome of the presidential race are still fairly fluid. Pundits are mostly aligned in forecasting the results as a close call. Although part of their reticence to make more bold predictions may be in part due to having been wrong so often in the recent past.

However, it is undeniable that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz have a decidedly strong advantage with regard to momentum. In the seven weeks since Harris became the Democratic nominee, she has raised unprecedented sums of donations and rocketed to leading positions in most polls. Trump, meanwhile, has descended to ever deeper depths of delusion triggered by fear and despair.

SEE THIS: Trump’s New Campaign Slogan Inspired By His Angry Debate Act: ‘There’s Nothing to Smile About’

As usual, the best place to find out how Trump is really feeling at any given point in time is his flailing social media scam, Truth Social. And today is no exception. In another all-caps tantrum, Trump bellowed that he has a…

“BIG LEAD IN THE JUST RELEASED RASMUSSEN POLL, ONE OF THE FEW THAT GOT IT RIGHT!”

There’s a surprising amount of misinformation to unpack in that brief outburst. Let’s start with the fact that Trump’s alleged “BIG LEAD” in the Rasmussen poll is a soaring 2%, well within the margin of error. Secondly, as Trump noted, it’s a Rasmussen poll, which is a notoriously right-wing leaning operation, and has had a pro-MAGA bias from the start.

However, to his credit, Trump is correct in observing that Rasmussen’s results are “ONE OF THE FEW” that show him ahead of Harris. Almost every other credible pollster has Harris in the lead. Take a look at the RealClear Politics poll of polls…

Trump’s celebration of having a single, right-wing pollster release a survey that shows him with a small lead is evidence of his psychological misfiring, wherein he can only process positive news about himself. Which in this case is quite a feat considering that even Rasmussen’s results reveal a steep downward spiral. Have a look at the Rasmussen polls since President Biden passed the torch to Harris…

So even though Rasmussen continues to prop Trump up, it is now just by two points rather than by seven. He has stayed at about 49% the whole time, while Harris jumped from 43% to 47%. And at the risk of being repetitive, these are Rasmussen’s numbers. Trump can’t do any better than this, even with the most Trump-fluffing pollster in the business.

For good measure, Trump posted another comment that exhibits his willful delusion about himself and how voters perceive him. He bragged that

“Finally everyone is agreeing that I won the Debate with Kamala. It was like a delayed reaction but, as one Political Pundit said, ‘Trump is still the G.O.A.T.'”

Once again, Trump is imagining that “everyone” agrees that he won the debate with Harris that he definitely lost. Polls taken after the debate confirm that Harris beat him. As do the trends evident in the general election polling. His reference to a “delayed reaction” is just another invention of his bruised psyche.

The question is whether Trump actually believes his absurd analyses of the state of the race, or if he is just trying to lead his cult followers down a primrose path. Not that it makes any difference in the long run. If it’s the former, he’s patently insane. If it’s the latter, he’s a bald-faced liar. And given those two choice the most likely answer is…It’s both. Trump is a patently insane bald-faced liar.

Tough Guy JD Vance Dares Nut Jobs to Come to His Rally and Try to Assassinate Him

The 2024 presidential campaign has suddenly taken on a new topic of discussion. It has consumed the commentaries of the candidates, as well as much of the media coverage. But what’s peculiar about it is that it isn’t really anything new. In fact, it is something that has been present for months, even years.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump, JD Vance, Dr. Evil, Mini-Me

This emerging topic has to do with the profusion of hostile and inflammatory rhetoric that has the potential to incite violence. And now everyone seems to be talking about it. Never mind that Donald Trump has been disgorging incendiary rants since the inception of his political career. It is only now becoming newsworthy, in part due to the recent incidents involving Trump and a couple of crazed, gun-toting individuals. Incidents that Trump immediately exploited with hostile and inflammatory rhetoric:

SEE THIS: Trump Blames the Alleged Assassination Attempt at His Golf Course on Kamala Harris and Joe Biden

On Tuesday morning, Trump’s running mate, JD Vance, joined in the exploitation at a campaign event in Michigan. During his speech he predictably sought to blame Kamala Harris and other Democrats for ramping up the rhetoric that he claimed would result in violence. It was a purely political accusation that had no foundation in reality. But it was only the beginning for Vance. Escalating his own bombastic blather, Vance said that…

“With close to 500 patriots in the state of Michigan in this building right now and outside, I’d like to see an assassin try to come in this room. They’ve come in the wrong place, if you try to walk into this place right now.

Seriously? Vance is issuing a straightforward invitation to some other crazed individuals who would take his words as a challenge. They might believe that answering that call could make them famous. And while Vance might think that he’s taking a macho stance against political hitmen, he’s actually just fomenting potential tragedies that would get innocent people killed.

Contrary to Vance’s phony bravado, it would not be impossible for a gunman to gain entry to one his campaign events. And if he came armed with an assault weapon, he could do an enormous amount of harm to innumerable people before any of the “patriots” in the room could stop him. So Vance is putting the lives of many others at risk in order to make himself look like a tough guy.

Vance’s provocation is just another type of inflammatory rhetoric. But it would have the same dire consequences. Trump and his confederates couldn’t care less about the welfare of others. And their complaints about hostile dialog is hypocritical in the extreme.

No one has spewed more incendiary – and utterly dishonest – words than Trump himself. From his calling Harris a “Marxist, communist, fascist,” to asserting that the Democrats want to “destroy the country,” and that if they are elected “there will be no country,” to charges that the left favors “murdering babies after they are born,” to claiming that Democrats want “open borders” to allow “criminals and mental patients to pour in,” so they can wreak havoc and vote for more Democrats.

Trump’s ravings are nothing short of insanity. Meanwhile, the things that he complains that Democrats are saying about him are not remotely comparable. For instance, saying that Trump is a threat to democracy is not inflammatory rhetoric. It’s the truth! and Trump’s own words and actions confirm it.

Trump has yet to accept the results of the 2020 election that he lost. He incited a deadly insurrection and assault on the Capital in order to undermine democracy and maintain power. He proposed having the military shoot protesters. He aligns himself with foreign enemies like Vladimir Putin, and advances their anti-American agenda. He literally called for terminating the Constitution…

SEE ALSO: Trump Literally Calls for Termination of the Constitution and FREAKS OUT Over Bogus Fox News Story

Trump and Vance, and the Republican Party at large, all want to silence Democrats and others who disagree with them. They demand that only Democrats tone down their rhetoric, but that Trump et al should remain free to rant hysterically at will. Needless to say, that isn’t gonna fly with either Democrats or the majority of the American people. And provocations like the one that Vance just made will only serve to drive the MAGA party farther into the fringes. Hopefully, however, it won’t produce any more harm in the interim.

Trump Blames the Alleged Assassination Attempt at His Golf Course on Kamala Harris and Joe Biden

For the second time in as many months a cretinous jerk with an assault rifle has apparently plotted to assassinate former president and convicted felon, Donald Trump. And just as they did in the prior episode, MAGA Republicans are furiously trying to lay the blame on Democrats in general, and on Kamala Harris and President Biden in particular.

Donald Trump Angry

Never mind that the shooter in July was a registered Republican, and that the the latest suspect reportedly voted for Trump in 2016. The MAGA Klan has been attributing blame for these loathsome acts on Democrats without a shred of evidence to support their claims.

SEE THIS: MAGA World Blames Biden and Democrats for the Violence that Trump Has Incited for Years

Not one to shy away from a blazing conspiracy melodrama, Donald Trump gave an interview to his pals at Fox News Digital wherein he fanned the flames of these current events in a manner that can only be interpreted as an effort to cause the most damage possible by spreading the rhetorical fire. Asserting his clairvoyant powers, he channeled the thoughts of the would-be shooter, Ryan Wesley Routh, saying that…

“He believed the rhetoric of Biden and Harris, and he acted on it. Their rhetoric is causing me to be shot at, when I am the one who is going to save the country, and they are the ones that are destroying the country – both from the inside and out.”

Not only does Trump profess to know what Routh was thinking, but he actually engages in the sort of incendiary rhetoric that he is pretending to be against by charging that Biden and Harris are “destroying the country.” And he was only just getting started…

“These are people that want to destroy our country. It is called the enemy from within. They are the real threat. […] They do it with a combination of rhetoric and lawsuits they wrap me up in.”

Trump can hardly complain about the language used to describe him, which is mostly accurate citations of his own words. But he is also trying to associate the legal cases against him with motivations to do him in. In his mind, any legitimate indictment and prosecution of him for the crimes that he has actually committed is tantamount to an assassination threat. In fact, just campaigning against him is a mortal sin. Then he continued with a threat of his own, saying that…

“They use highly inflammatory language. I can use it too – far better than they can – but I don’t.”

Yeah, right! Trump doesn’t use inflammatory language at all. Unless you count what he said in this very interview about Biden and Harris “destroying the country” and being “the enemy from within.” And he has used similar and worse language for years at his cult rallies and on other interviews in the MAGA media. Don’t forget the incitation of his StormTrumpers to attack Congress and stage a deadly coup attempt on January 6, 2021.

Trump repeated himself in a post on his failing social media scam, Truth Social, Monday morning wherein he raged about “the rigged and highly partisan ABC Debate,” and “all of the ridiculous lawsuits,” that have “taken politics in our Country to a whole new level of Hatred, Abuse, and Distrust.” And that “Because of this Communist Left Rhetoric, the bullets are flying, and it will only get worse!” You gotta watch out for those flying communist bullets.

The rest of the post was dedicated to Trump’s routine, racist immigrant bashing about “millions of people, from places unknown” and “TERRORISTS, CRIMINALS, AND MENTALLY INSANE” “INVADE[RS]” who he says “ARE STEALING OUR JOBS AND OUR WEALTH.” It seems that to Trump the answer to every question, no matter the subject, is “invading immigrant criminals.”

To top it off, Trump demonstrated his devotion to grifting off of anything that he thinks he can exploit for financial gain. He posted the following comment on Truth Social the morning after his golf cart-astrophe. The annotations reveal his true motivations in trying times like these…

Trump Calls All Rich Kamala Harris Supporters ‘STUPID’ in a Weird Appeal to Affluent Voters

The base of support for Donald Trump has been a pretty steady third of the electorate since his transition from a reality TV game show host to a grifting politician and convicted felon. It’s a sad state of affairs that that many Americans could fall for the obvious demagogic sham that he presents, But there has always been a wingnut contingent swirling around in the far right fringes.

Trump Baby on Cash Pile

Trump unexpectedly managed to squeak out a narrow victory in 2016 with the help of the perverse and undemocratic Electoral College. He hasn’t been able to repeat that feat ever since. And in each of his races he has lost the popular vote by millions of voters. Part of the reason that Trump has failed to expand his base is that he hasn’t even bothered to try. To the contrary, he descends ever deeper into the muck and makes bizarre statements that certify his mental defects.

SEE THIS: TRUMP IS TOAST: The Washington Post’s Laundry List of Trump’s Increasingly Bizarre Claims

On Sunday morning Trump reached out to the faction of his base to which he is most devoted: The Wealthy! They form the core of his confederacy and the foundation of the GOP (Greedy One Percent). His message to them was posted to his failing social media scam, Truth Social, saying that…

“All rich, job creating people, that support Comrade Kamala Harris, you are STUPID. She is seeking an UNREALIZED TAX ON CAPITAL GAINS. If this tax actually gets enacted, it guarantees that we will have a 1929 style Depression. Perhaps even the thought of it would lead to calamity – But at least appraisers and accountants would do well!”

That’s a decidedly weird way to attract high income voters. But make no mistake, this is Trump’s method of appealing to – or threatening – America’s aspiring oligarchs in order to shift them into his corner. He thinks that by insulting them he can persuade them to abandon Kamala Harris and back him and his agenda that favors corporations and the rich.

To that end, Trump cited Harris’ proposal to shape a more equitable tax code. Of course, Trump’s description is typically ignorant and illiterate. It is not an “unrealized tax” on capital gains. That doesn’t even make sense. She is proposing a tax on unrealized capital gains. And it is a prudent reform that requires wealthy investors to pay their fair share of taxes.

However, Trump would let the rich slide, just as he has done on other taxation matters, lowering the rates for the wealthy, at the expense of everyone else, and exploding the national debt in the process.

What’s more, it wouldn’t be a Trump threat if it didn’t include a frantic warning about an imminent “1929 style Depression,” or some other pending catastrophe that exists only in his warped imagination. He has been using his predictions of a Depression for years to frighten his cult followers and stir fears of a societal collapse at the hands of Democrats. Never mind that the economy historically performs better when Democrats are in charge.

If Trump thinks that he’s going to win back the support of well off Americans by calling them “stupid,” then he is…well, stupid. He’s only helping them to affirm that their decision to support Harris was the correct one. And his insults and childish tantrums are likely to disgust and alienate other fat cats, who may already be on edge fearing the immigrants that Trump has said are hankering to eat them.

Trump’s Promise Not to Sell His Truth Social Stock May Land Him in Financial and Legal Peril

The candidacy of Donald Trump for president is historic in many respects, none of which are actually respectable. For instance, he is the first candidate to have had three wives, all of whom he cheated on, including with a porn star whose silence he tried to buy for $130,000.00. He is the first to have hosted a sham reality TV game show, but had no experience in government or military service. He is the first to have been adjudicated as a rapist.

Donald Trump, Stock Market

In addition to his continually lengthening rap sheet, Trump is also the first candidate of a major political party (if we can still call the Republican Party that) to be running after having been convicted of 34 felonies, with another 52 charges pending. With that sort of record, the last thing that Trump needs is to engage in more criminal activities that burnish his credentials as an aspiring mob boss.

SEE THIS: WHOA! Did Trump Just Admit that He’s Guilty and is Whining that He Couldn’t Make a Plea Deal?

Nevertheless, this week Trump may have set himself up for some more indictments related to his notoriously unscrupulous business operations. At a press avail staged at his Palos Verdes, California, golf resort, Trump was asked a question about the abysmal performance of his Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG) stock that has lost more than three quarters of its value since its March debut on the NASDAQ stock exchange…

Reporter: Trump Media shares (DJT) are down about 75% since their peak in March. Your lockdown provision ends soon. Will you sell your shares?
Trump: No, I’m not selling. I love it.

Driving the point home, Trump later repeated that “I’m not gonna sell my shares. I don’t need money” Which makes it all the more curious that he is constantly begging his cult followers for more donations and trying to sell them garbage like Trump-branded sneakers and bibles. But more to the point, Trump has now made a declarative statement that he is not going to sell his shares of TMTG when the lock-up period expires in the next week or so.

The problem with that is that, now, if Trump does sell, he could be in violation of Federal securities fraud laws governing stock manipulation and subject to up to 20 years in prison. It is illegal for company principals and major shareholders to mislead investors as to their future positions in a stock.

The reason for these laws was evident in the movement of the stock following Trump’s statement. The stock jumped $4.00 (a 27% increase) after he made this comment. Then it fell back a couple of bucks before the NASDAQ briefly suspended trading. But the effect was obvious to everyone but Trump, who posted a furious complaint on his failing Truth Social website…

“Why is NASDAQ halting the sale of DJT? What right do they have to do this? They have done it twice today. What’s going on? Are they taking orders from the SEC, which, for political reasons, delayed us for an inordinate amount of time, therefore hurting the stock very badly? I am going to hold NASDAQ, and maybe the SEC, liable for doing what they are doing. If they do it again, we will move the stock to the New York Stock Exchange. It is my intention to own this stock for a long period of time. In my opinion, it is THE REAL VOICE OF AMERICA, but it is definitely MY VOICE, and it will be for a long time to come!”

Naturally, Trump was outraged for what he can only perceive as a personal attack on his eminence that involved some imaginary, widespread, “Deep State” conspiracy against him. The temporary delay in trading was a routine response to unusual volatility in the stock. It was not for “an inordinate amount of time.” It was for five minutes, twice, to protect investors from potential fraud. But no one will be surprised that Trump resorted to issuing a threat in response to the prudent measures taken as a result of his irresponsible – and likely dishonest – comments.

In the next week or so we will see whether Trump keeps his word not to sell any of his shares. If he does sell, it will not only tank the stock, causing major losses for the remaining shareholders, it will make Trump liable for potential charges of stock manipulation, as well as lawsuits from other shareholders. And all of this is unfolding in the final weeks of the presidential campaign when he is already suffering major political losses.

The troubles that are drowning Trump’s website and stock are nothing new. What follows are a few of the financial and legal blows that his failing enterprise has endured…

LOSER Trump’s Truth Social is Well on its Way to Becoming His Next Bankruptcy
Trump Media reported net sales of $836,000, down 30% vs. a year earlier. It was the third straight quarter of roughly $800,000 in revenue, up slightly from Q1’s $770,500. Operating costs soared to $19.5 million vs. $4.9 million a year earlier.

Trump’s Truth Social is Shedding Users Like a Miserable Childless Woman’s Mangy Cat
The Donald Trump-controlled Truth Social platform recorded its third straight month of declining traffic. Truth Social attracted 2,112,000 unique visitors, down 38% compared to June 2023 when the site generated 3,407,000 unique visitors. It was the platform’s second worst traffic performance since June 2022 when Truth Social had only 1,891,000 unique visitors.

Trump’s New Campaign Slogan Inspired By His Angry Debate Act: ‘There’s Nothing to Smile About’

The 2024 presidential election provides what may be the most stark contrast between candidates that the American people have ever seen. On one hand we have Kamala Harris, who will become the nation’s first woman president, running on a platform of reverence for democracy, commitment to the working class, strong diplomatic alliances, and a national sense of harmony and joy. On the other hand, we have Donald Trump.

Donald Trump with sign: There's Nothing To Smile About

Trump has carefully constructed a public image that is best represented by his persistently scowling visage. He wears it like a mask to convey to his glassy-eyed cult followers what he thinks is strength, while simultaneously whining about what a pitiful victim he is of his multitude of foes.

SEE THIS: Victim-in-Chief: Trump is the most Cowardly, Whining, Crybaby to Ever Be President

In the wake of Trump’s disastrous debate debacle, he has been consumed by the broadly agreed upon consensus that he lost to Harris, due primarily to his seething rage and utter contempt for the truth. For an hour and half, when he wasn’t outright lying about nonsense like pet cuisine, he was yelling about “millions and millions” of immigrant prisoners and mental patients pouring into, and destroying, the country. Never mind that the country is thriving, in part due to contributions from immigrants.

On Thursday morning Trump took to his failing social media scam, Truth Social, to continue his post-debate meltdown. After being critically reviewed as a loser by everyone from Taylor Swift to Fox News, Trump obliviously declared that he was actually the winner, saying in part that

“I won the Debate, but was criticized by the Radical Left Lunatics because I looked “angry and forceful.” But think, why wouldn’t I be angry? I love the U.S.A., and it is being destroyed by grossly incompetent leadership. […] Am I supposed to be smiling, like Comrade Kamala Harris, with her FAKE one-and-a-half hour smile and long practiced facial expressions? […] No, there’s nothing to smile about!”

And there you have it. Trump’s shiny, new, inspiring campaign slogan for 2024: “There’s Nothing To Smile About!” That should motivate his StormTrumpers to the polls in November. Just like all of the other successful campaigns that relied on dystopian delusions and fear mongering. Remember Ronald Reagan scaring his supporters to the polls by threatening “Morning in America”? Or Barack Obama’s frightening chants of “Hope and Change”?

Trump’s new mantra was conceived to counter the impression he left as a cantankerous crybaby. And in furtherance of that goal, he is also demonstrating his distance from sanity by declaring that “I won the debate,” despite the reviews of those who reside in the real world.

What’s more, Trump took a swipe at Harris, who he has criticized for the unforgivable sin of laughing. Now he is also condemning her for the horror of smiling and daring to permit her face to have expressions (you know, like a human being), rather than his practice of plastering on a sneer that would give children nightmares for weeks.

The closer it gets to election day, the more of this malarkey we can expect from Trump and his MAGA minions. And it will only get worse as his electoral prospects decline. Which, if he continues to have maniacal outbursts like these, is a near certainty. The only question now is whether Trump can maintain some cognitive functionality until November 5th. I wouldn’t put money on it if he keeps doing stuff like this…

Trump Reassures America that He Really is Mentally Toasted in the Debate with Kamala Harris

The first – and possibly only – debate between Vice-President, Kamala Harris, and convicted felon, Donald Trump, is now in the history books, where it will have a unique place of honor as one of the primary factors leading to the election of America’s first woman president.

Click here to Tweet this article

Kamala Harris, Donald Trump baby

The debate featured a strikingly effective strategy by Harris that could be called the “Just Let Trump Talk” gambit. And Trump bought into it hook, line, and sphincter. Throughout the 90 minute clash, Harris appeared confidant, controlled, informed, and at times amused. Trump, meanwhile, was well rehearsed at being himself. He maintained a persistent scowl, yelled absurdities, and engaged in infantile name-calling.

SEE THIS: Trump is Right! ‘We Don’t Need a President Who Isn’t Smart Enough to Answer Reporters’ Questions’

Those who didn’t watch the debate missed some classic Trumpisms that were mostly rehashes of the malarkey that he spews at his cult rallies. For instance, Trump…

  • Got triggered by Harris’ reference to his crowd sizes.
He has always been sensitive about “size.” And they keep getting smaller and more bored
  • Denied praising Nazis in Charlottesville, saying to just ask Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity, and Jesse Watters.
Because his Fox News flunkies are such credible sources.
  • Pushed the completely debunked story of pets being eaten by Haitian migrants in Ohio.
He is desperately pivoting from childless cat ladies to migrant cat eaters.
  • Cited Hungarian dictator Viktor Orbán as a character reference.
Whenever Trump needs moral support, he seeks out his authoritarian idols.
  • Has no regrets about his actions, or lack thereof, on January 6, and blames Nancy Pelosi
He gleefully watched the carnage on TV for nearly 3 hours, doing nothing to stop it. And it is the president who is in charge of law enforcement in D.C., not the Speaker of the House.
  • Still thinks he won in 2020.
Despite being unable to provide a shred of evidence after 4 years and 60+ court cases.

In a more sane era, every one of those items would produce several days (weeks?) of news, and likely sink the candidate. But the media seems intent on “sane-washing” trump’s psychological deficiencies. And while, most observers agree that Harris dominated Trump throughout the debate and won on substance and style, everyone from MAGA-Land (including Trump) is bashing the moderators. That’s a sure sign that you know you lost.

Trump’s responses to questions typically meandered through an incomprehensible swamp of deflections and delusions. For instance, in response to a question about his having killed an immigration bill, Trump detoured to defending the size of his rallies, accusing Harris of paying her rally attendees, making daft threats of imminent World War III, and then launched into the ghastly pet eating myth in Springfield, Ohio. For the record…

However, for brazen dishonesty, and pure mush-brained idiocy, nothing comes close to the rant by Trump about how he would resolve the war in Ukraine. He never actually answered that question. But he railed maniacally as he repeated provably false assertions about Harris having met with Vladimir Putin to negotiate a deal to avoid his invasion.

“They sent her to negotiate peace before this war started. Three days later he went in and they started the war because everything they said was weak and stupid…She was the emissary. They sent her to negotiate with Zelenskyy and Putin. And she did. And the war started three days later…But let me tell you something, she is a horrible negotiator. They sent her in to negotiate. As soon as she left Putin did the invasion.”

Literally every word of that is a lie. Harris replied simply and calmly by stating only that “I said at the beginning of this debate that you will hear a bunch of lies coming from this fella, and that is another one.” Then she gave a thoughtful commentary on the importance of preserving America’s relationship with its international allies. Something Trump never understood. To the contrary, he alienated our allies and sucked-up to our enemies.

The morning after the debate, Trump phoned in to Fox and Friends to whine some more. And he went farther than just attacking ABC News moderators. He went after the network like a good totalitarian wannabe, saying that “They ought to take away their license.” He’s giving a preview of what to expect if he becomes “they.”

Trump is also squelching any talk of doing another debate. Which is another sign of his fear of facing off with Harris again. He even balked at a Fox news debate, unless it is moderated by Sean Hannity or Jesse Watters or Laura Ingraham. Yeah, that’ll happen.

These are surely strange times politically. And it’s difficult to make reliable predictions about the future. But if there is any justice in this world – and not just the kind that has already ruled against Trump criminally and civilly, but moral justice – Trump will lose in a landslide in November. But for that to happen, the American people must make a commitment to working hard for that outcome. This is no time to relax. It aint over till it’s over. LFG!

Fox News is Making Excuses for Trump Losing the Debate with Kamala Harris Before it Even Begins

The first, and likely only, debate between Vice-President Kamala Harris and convicted felon Donald Trump will take place this evening. In the run up to this event the candidates have been preparing in starkly different ways that are characteristic of their divergent personalities.

Kamala Harris and Donald Trump Debate

Harris, who is taking her participation in this ritual of democracy seriously, has been studying the issues and developing strategy. Trump, who regards himself as an infallible reservoir of the world’s knowledge, has been insulting Harris as “dumb” and whining about everything being rigged against him. So much so that he had fight to keep voters from hearing what he actually says.

SEE THIS: The Debate Over the Debate: Trump’s Own Handlers Are the Ones Pushing for Him to Be Muted

Trump isn’t the only one who is afraid of how poorly he will perform, and how bad he will look in comparison to Harris. Fox News is also fearful that Trump will not measure up to Harris, who can actually articulate complex subjects that matter to the American people, and form coherent sentences. Trump, on the other hand, is demonstrating ever more severe lapses in mental acuity.

SEE ALSO: HOLY CR&P: Trump’s Rambling, Incoherent Plan to Make Child Care Affordable is Utterly Deranged

On Tuesday morning Fox News began their pre-cleaning operation to explain in advance why Trump will/has lost the debate hours before it began. The following exchange between Fox host Harris Faulkner and her MAGA guest Gianno Caldwell says a lot about how pessimistic the Fox team is…

Caldwell: I don’t believe that Kamala Harris is coming ready to play. She’s relying on the media to support her. And certainly with ABC giving 100% positive coverage for her, 98% negative for Donald Trump, We already know what the table looks like.
Faulkner: I think we learned too at that interview where he was with the Black journalists in Chicago and ABC News had the first question on that one didn’t even acknowledge that he had survived an assassination attempt not too long before. … We know a little bit of what we potentially could get.

Where Caldwell got the impression that Harris isn’t “coming ready to play” is a mystery. On other programs Fox has reported that she was holed up in a hotel room working on her debate prep. Which they put a negative spin on, suggesting that only idiots need to waste time preparing. So according to Fox, Harris is bad for preparing, and bad for not preparing.

What’s more, Caldwell and Faulkner both have no basis whatsoever for alleging any bias on the part of the debate host, ABC News. It is just their knee-jerk reaction to any media enterprise, which they regard as “the enemy of the people” because Trump told them so.

Faulkner then attacked ABC News because a reporter asked Trump a question at a conference of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) about the blatant racism that has been aimed at Harris. Apparently Faulkner thinks that asking Trump about a scratch on his ear is more relevant to the NABJ’s members than a question about systemic bigotry.

Both Faulkner and Caldwell are executing a plan that was surely devised in Fox’s morning editorial meeting. They are attempting to preemptively explain why Trump will fare so badly at the debate that will take place later that evening. They obviously know that Trump is an unstable person, with a tenuous grasp of issues – and reality – who can safely be predicted to humiliate himself. So they are making excuses for it to their flock of MAGA viewers ahead of his anticipated meltdown.

For his part, Trump was continuing his “preparation” for the debate by rage-posting on his failing social media scam, Truth Social. And even as Fox News was defending him, he was attacking Fox…

“Why does FoxNews keep putting on, for endless periods of time, Michael Tyler, Kamala’s publicist, who spews nothing but lies – like Project 2025, etc. Fox tries to be so politically correct, when the other side plays for keeps. RIDICULOUS!!!”

Trump is OUTRAGED that Fox News would interview Michael Tyler, the Director for Communications in the Harris Campaign. And it’s especially funny that a pathological liar like Trump can accuse anyone else of “spew[ing] nothing but lies.” Particularly when the examples that Trump gives are so plainly truthful comments about Trump’s Project 2025.

We can all expect Trump to deliver another of his patented debacles during this debate. And likewise, we can expect Fox News to try to clean up after him. Which is a job that isn’t getting any easier as Trump continues his downward spiral. And he’s going to drag a lot of others down with him before he’s done. For which we should probably thank him.

From Cat Ladies to Cat Eaters: The Trump Cult is Sick, Twisted, and Totally Removed From Reality

The madness of the Donald Trump cult seems to descend to ever new lows with each passing day. It’s a social phenomenon that occurs occasionally when society’s most gullible rubes are persuaded by fear mongering and ludicrous lies to follow a wannabe messiah who doesn’t care about anything but himself.

Donald Trump Zombie

As Kamala Harris is preparing for the upcoming debate with Trump, the former reality TV game show host and convicted felon, Trump, is whiling away the hours posting absurdities on his failing social media scam, Truth Social. And unfortunately for him, his electoral prospects are becoming as dim as his business ventures…

SEE THIS: Circling the Drain: Trump’s Truth Social Craters Since the Kamala Harris Speech at the DNC

On Monday morning the Church of the Demented Don waded hip deep into a new crackpot conspiracy that may be recognized as the most deranged nonsense of Trump’s political career. Which is really saying something. In short, the Trumpists are pushing an entirely fabricated fantasy involving Haitian immigrants in Ohio stealing and eating people’s pets.

Often with ridiculousness like this, it is propagated by online trolls and foreign governments hoping to interfere with the election on Trump’s behalf. That may also be true in this case. However, these sickly and racist allegations are most prominently being pushed by the biggest wigs of the Republican Party, including Trump’s VP running mate JD Vance, Stephen Miller, Elon Musk, Rep. Jim Jordan, Rep. Mike Collins, and of course, Catturd. [Note: late additions include Sen. Ted Cruz and Don Trump. Jr.]

Needless to say, none of it is true. The Springfield News-Sun investigated the matter and reported that “The Springfield Police Division said Monday morning they have received no reports related to pets being stolen and eaten.”

Apparently checking with the local police department was too much trouble for the GOP “leaders” who want the American people to trust them with the future of the country. What does that tell us about everything the GOP investigates, including their probes of President Biden, and Hunter Biden, and VP Kamala Harris, and Gov. Tim Walz, etc. ad infinitum.

Republicans even set up a House Committee on the Weaponization of Government. Which surprisingly, was not a committee to investigate such matters, but to actually initiate and engage in them. And they exploited their power as the majority party in the House to launch political attacks, wasting untold hours, and millions of dollars, to achieve nothing at all. Well, except a shipload of bad publicity for themselves and their bogus probes.

MOPRE HERE: Weaponizing Congress? GOP Hack Comer Launches Phony Probes Into Both Kamala Harris and Tim Walz

Ironically, the only validated instances of bizarre animalistic dining has come from the Republican camp. It was RFK, Jr who admitted that he had an appetite for a dead bear cub that he found on the highway. And he decapitated a beached whale, and tied the head to the roof of his car, for purposes that we can only imagine.

Now, after JD Vance’s humiliating assault on “childless cat ladies” backfired so horribly on him, the GOP is backing off their efforts to malign cats and switching to protecting them from imaginary immigrant diners. And these are the wackos that seek to control government and make decisions for the American people. They can’t even decide what’s for dinner in a way the remotely resembles normal human behavior.

Trump is Right! ‘We Don’t Need a President Who Isn’t Smart Enough to Answer Reporters’ Questions’

Anyone who has been paying attention to Donald Trump for the last few years knows that he is in perpetual state of outrage. If he isn’t complaining about the 2020 presidential election being “rigged and stolen” from him, he’s whining about being the victim of a massive cabal to hold him accountable for the crimes that he has actually committed.

Donald Trump

To be sure, there are a multitude of other grievances that he grumbles about incessantly. Too many, in fact, to itemize. And all of them are based on delusions that emanate from his deeply disturbed and profoundly paranoid psyche. His bottomless reservoir of wrath is manifested in his daily – even hourly – hysterics over whatever perceived atrocity has befallen him at that moment in time. And his tantrums unfurl despite the harm they do to his own interests.

On Sunday morning Trump unleashed another rage-filled rant on his failing social media scam, Truth Social. And true to form, it embodied the unbridled fury of a severely dysfunctional psychotic. In a tedious recital of his paranoid symptoms, Trump babbled in part that…

“Comrade Kamala Harris ‘is completely hiding from the press.’ […] The last thing we need for our Nation in Decline is another President who is not smart enough to answer reporters questions. We just went through that, and we don’t want to do it again!”

First of all, Trump’s charge that Kamala Harris is “completely hiding from the press” is a bald-faced lie. She just had a nationally televised interview with CNN’s Dana Bash. And she frequently takes questions from reporters informally at campaign stops. That said, she has no obligation to fulfill some arbitrary quota for press avails. Especially when the press is so blatantly hostile to her, while simultaneously “sane-washing” Trump’s obviously incoherent public ramblings.

However, Trump should get credit when credit is due. And his assessment of the importance of having a president who is “smart enough to answer reporters questions” could not be more relevant as this campaign season progresses.

In that regard, Harris has proven to be extraordinarily well informed and insightful when being asked candidly for her opinions. Trump, on the other hand, has shown himself to be astonishingly ignorant and unconcerned with those pesky little things we all know as facts.

Trump may answer reporters’ questions from time to time, but only those “reporters” who are unambiguously Trump-fluffing sycophants, like those on Fox News. He will never sit down with a legitimate journalist who could challenge his free-flowing torrent of lies. And even when he does reply to his pre-approved MAGA hacks, his answers are devoid of any relationship with reality. For instance, Trump has recently been asked questions for which he offered mostly indecipherable replies that did nothing but affirm his ignorance on the subjects queried…

  • Child Care: That he said could be paid for by tariffs.
  • Tariffs: That he said are paid by the countries on whom they are imposed.
  • Immigration: That he said is increasing and filled with criminals and mental patients.
  • Election Fraud: That he is still claiming occurred in 2020.
  • The Economy: That he said is crashing.
  • Abortion: That he says occurs even after a baby is born.

On every single one of those matters Trump is wrong on (in his lingo) “levels never seen before.” With this degree of dishonesty and/or stupidity, it makes the question of whether or not to answer reporters’ questions irrelevant. Why bother if he’s going to be spewing such flaming falsehoods without any pushback by the reporters?

So Trump is right. America doesn’t need a president who isn’t smart enough to answer reporters’ questions. Therefore, America doesn’t need Trump. It needs Kamala Harris, who has demonstrated that she has the intellect and the compassion to lead the nation and to eloquently articulate how she plans to move the country forward. If Trump really believed what he is saying about this, he would drop out of the race today. But he isn’t even smart enough to do that.
