Mealy Mike Pence Tells Fox News that He is Against Indicting Trump – Who Nearly Got Him Hanged

After months of hearings, with evidence provided by hundreds of (mostly Republican) witnesses and millions of documents, the House Select Committee investigating the January 6th insurrection that Donald Trump incited is preparing to release their final report.

Donald Trump, Mike Pence, Hanging

Along with that report, the Committee is also issuing criminal referrals to the Justice Department for a cadre of Trump cohorts, as well as for Trump himself. The charges include Trump’s role inciting and/or assisting the insurrection, obstruction of official Congressional proceedings, and conspiracy to defraud the United States. In anticipation of the Committee’s conclusions, a frightened Trump has been acting out in his typically infantile, and ultimately impotent, fashion.

RELATED: Trump Being Too Scared to Testify Under Oath, Files Lawsuit Against the January 6th Committee

On Monday morning Trump’s former vice-president and certified toady, Mike Pence, visited Fox News for another softball interview. In this outing Pence affirmed his allegiance to his former boss whose response to the insurrection contributed to the mob’s hostilities and their fevered chants to “Hang Mike Pence.” As an expression of his gratitude for nearly getting him killed, Pence told Fox News that “Few Americans are paying attention” to this Committee. He then elaborated on his opinion that Trump should be allowed to get away with his treasonous crimes…

“I would hope that [the Justice Department] would not bring charges against the former president. I think the president’s actions and words on January 6 were reckless, but I don’t know that it’s criminal to take bad advice from lawyers and so I hope the Justice Department is careful.”

Actually, Pence, who practiced law before his political career, does know that it absolutely can be criminal to take bad advice from lawyers. If your lawyer advises you to commit a crime – say rob a bank or lie under oath or incite a riot – and you take that advice, you are definitely criminally liable. And so, by the way, is your lawyer.

Even Fox News co-host Dana Perino shot back at Pence’s reference to Trump’s shady lawyers saying that “There might be criminal referrals on that too.” She was referring to reports that criminal referrals are likely to be issued for Trump-associated attorneys John Eastman, Jeff Clark, and Rudy Giuliani. Pence then continued saying that…

“I hope the Justice Department understands the magnitude, the very idea of indicting a former president of the United States. I think that would be terribly divisive in the country at a time when the American people want to see us heal.”

Pence doesn’t have to worry about whether the Justice Department “understands the magnitude” of indicting a former president. It’s obvious that they do. However, he might want to pay more attention to the magnitude of a former president trying to undermine democracy and overthrow the government.

He may also want to consider the necessity of holding such criminals accountable, not just to punish their unlawful acts, but in order to deter others from committing similar acts in the future. Trump is already advocating absolution for his insurrectionist hordes.

RELATED: Trump Promises to Halt the Prosecutions of the January 6th Mob He Incited to Attack Congress

What’s more, Pence is misinterpreting – or more likely lying about – the American people’s desire to “heal.” They surely do. But a majority of them favor prosecuting Trump as the path to that healing.

For his part, Trump is behaving precisely as would be expected of a self-serving, narcissistic, wannabe dictator. He posted on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, that…

“Republicans and Patriots all over the land must stand strong and united against the Thugs and Scoundrels of the Unselect Committee. It will be a dark period in American history, but with darkness comes light!!!”

The darkest period of modern American history has already passed. It ended when Trump was evicted by the American people from his occupation of the White House. The light emerged with the election of President Biden. But sadly, Trump continues to cast his corpulent shadow over the nation. And the only remedy for that is the for the law to be finally and fully enforced without fear or favor. Whether Pence wants it or not.

Trump Sinks Into an ALL-CAPS Psychotic Meltdown Over the Potential Criminal Referrals He Faces

On Sunday it was reported that the House Select Committee investigating the January 6th Insurrection that was incited by Donald Trump met to discuss the prospects of issuing criminal referrals to the Justice Department based on the evidence they accumulated during months of hearings and testimony from hundreds of witnesses, including many who were Republican Trump administration insiders.

Trump Fear

While the Committee wasn’t releasing any particulars about the discussions, panel member Adam Schiff told CBS’s “Face the Nation” that “we are all certainly in agreement that there is evidence of criminality here.” Sources say that the most likely targets of the referrals, other than Trump, would be former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, coup-plotting lawyer John Eastman, former Assistant Attorney General Jeffrey Clark, and Rudy Giuliani.

The referrals would be largely symbolic as Attorney General Merrick Garland has already appointed a special counsel to probe Trump’s crimes related to the Capitol Hill riots, as well as the classified documents that he stole, hoarded, and lied to the FBI about, at his Mar-a-Lago hotel/home. His fear of Special Counsel Jack Smith was evident in his public rage over the appointment.

RELATED: Trump Admits He’s Guilty in a Fear-Drenched Rant Attacking the Special Counsel as a ‘Monster’

Upon learning of the potential criminal referrals, Trump posted a frantic rant on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, yowling about unrelated matters that only hold significance in his twisted and frightened mind. In that state of derangement, Trump blasted in all-caps…

“HOW CAN THE JANUARY 6TH UNSELECT COMMITTEE MAKE CRIMINAL REFERRALS WHEN THEY HAVE’NT SPOKEN ABOUT, OR STUDIED, THOSE THAT RIGGED THE 2020 ELECTION, THE TROOPS NOT BEING BROUGHT IN BY PELOSI, OR NOW, THE ELECTION FRAUD DETERMINATIVELY REVEALED BY TWITTER? THESE ARE THE REAL CRIMINALS!!!”

This is about as emotionally distressed a statement as any Trump has made since his legal tribulations have intensified. He is plainly suffering extreme anxiety over the probability of being indicted and prosecuted. Consequently he raises objections that have no basis whatsoever in reality.

Trump knows very well that what he childishly calls the “unselect committee” had no mandate to study his unfounded allegations that the 2020 election was “rigged.” His own studies into the subject produced nothing after two years and more than 60 court challenges. He also knows that there is no truth to his claim that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi declined an offer of troops to defend the Capitol – from his own supporters. And the fraud that he asserts was revealed by the recently released “Twitter Files” lies only in his imagination, and that of Elon Musk and other Trump cultists desperate to find proof that Trump was, as always, the victim of bias by a clandestine cabal of evildoers.

RELATED: The Sham ‘Twitter Files’ Exposé Actually Proves that Trump’s Coup Plot was Appropriately Muted

As if all of that weren’t enough, Trump posted another delirious comment that actually makes him look even more insane than ever. Joining Fox News and other outraged Republican gloomsayers, upset at President Biden for getting WNBA star Brittney Griner released from Russia, Trump raged that…

“I turned down a deal with Russia for a one on one swap of the so-called Merchant of Death for Paul Whelan. I wouldn’t have made the deal for a hundred people in exchange for someone that has killed untold numbers of people with his arms deals. I would have gotten Paul out, however, just as I did with a record number of other hostages. The deal for Griner is crazy and bad. The taking wouldn’t have even happened during my Administration, but if it did, I would have gotten her out , fast!’

First of all, the likelihood that any of that is true is somewhere between zero and one percent. However, if we were to amuse ourselves by pretending to believe it, then Trump is confessing to abandoning an American hostage incarcerated in Russia, and that he would do the same if it were a hundred Americans. What’s more, we would have to accept the notion that he declined that deal without ever mentioning it, or even uttering Whelan’s name during his occupation of the White House, or at any time thereafter, until the Griner release. [Update: Former Trump aide John Bolton says that Trump did turn down an offer to release Whelan. If true, then he did abandon an American in a Russian prison]

Despite his claim to having turned down a deal to free Whelan, Trump still insists that he “would have gotten Whelan out.” “Would have?” Well then, why didn’t he? He had two years to do so. He also asserts that Griner wouldn’t have been arrested if he were in office. But Whelan was arrested in 2018, when Trump was in office. And as for his bragging about not making deals to release dangerous people, he must have forgotten that he made a deal with the Taliban in Afghanistan to release 5,000 terrorists in connection to the U.S. withdrawal, for a three month cease fire that the Taliban didn’t adhere to.

Trump’s fear is thick enough to slice with a MAGA bumper sticker. He knows that he is guilty of crimes related to the January 6th insurrection, the classified documents theft, tax fraud, election interference, and obstruction of justice. That’s evident in the increasingly unhinged posts he continues to make, as well as his determined avoidance of telling his own story in public and under oath. That’s not the behavior of an innocent man.

Poor Trump is Oozing Fear Over the Looming Legal Consequences of His Treasonous Crimes

December 2022 is turning out to be one of the most harrowing months for Donald Trump. It follows a disastrous November that saw his electoral toadies crash and burn as Democrats outperformed all expectations, leaving the Trump-endorsed candidates licking their wounds and worming their way back to obscurity.

Donald Trump, Prison

Compounding those catastrophes, Trump has recently lost court decisions that place him at greater peril than ever. For instance, the Justice Department is seeking to hold Trump in contempt for failing to comply with subpoenas to turn over the classified documents he stole. The special master that a friendly Trump judge appointed has been dismissed. He lost a challenge to a court ruling ordering him to turn over his tax returns. He lost a bid to block testimony from his former White House lawyers before a federal grand jury investigating his unlawful interference in the 2020 election. A New York Jury found his business guilty of tax fraud. And there is a Special Counsel breathing down his neck with investigations of his inciting the January 6th insurrection and his theft of classified documents.

RELATED: Trump Admits He’s Guilty in a Fear-Drenched Rant Attacking the Special Counsel as a ‘Monster’

As a result, Trump woke up Friday morning in a particularly foul mood. He posted several comments on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, exposing just how frightened he is of the legal peril that is engulfing him. In fact, he was so scared that he posted the same comments three times in a fit of fearful frenzy, forgetting that he had already posted them. He began with this all-caps derangement…

“WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE FBI & ‘JUSTICE’ DEPARTMENT? THEY SEEM TO BE TOTALLY OUT OF CONTROL! THERE IS, RIGHT NOW, A ‘WEAPONIZATION’ OF JUSTICE THE LIKES OF WHICH OUR COUNTRY HAS NEVER SEEN BEFORE. THE TWITTER AND FACEBOOK SCANDAL HAS ALREADY PROVEN TO BE, WITH THE POSSIBLE EXCEPTION OF SPYING ON MY CAMPAIGN,THEIR MOST SINISTER ACT IN HISTORY. EVEN THE RINOS & THE WEAK ARE OPENLY ADMITTING THAT THE 2020 ELECTION WAS RIGGED, BUT IN A DARKER WAY THAN EVER THOUGHT POSSIBLE. SO MANY LIVES DESTROYED!”

You know Trump is triggered when he repeats his frequent and utterly bizarre assertion that whatever he’s complaining about is “THE LIKES OF WHICH OUR COUNTRY HAS NEVER SEEN BEFORE,” and/or the “MOST SINISTER ACT IN HISTORY.” The vaguely attributable target of this tirade is the pathetic “Twitter Files” nothingburger that Elon Musk is pretending to have exposed. Not only was nothing exposed, no one but certified Trump flunkies are “ADMITTING THAT THE 2020 ELECTION WAS RIGGED.” But Trump was just getting started. He continued

“ELON: The Twitter releases are a revelation in that they show, in a very powerful fashion, the FBI and ‘Justice’ illegally colluding, proving conclusively, in one more very powerful way, that the 2020 Presidential Election was Rigged & Stolen. What everyone is REALLY waiting to see, however, is the Twitter information and thought process leading up to the time of the so-called ‘Election,’ and ultimately the ‘Deplatforming’ of the President of the United States. Big moment in history. Thank you!”

Once again, the only revelation in the Twitter sham is that nothing untoward occurred. It was all merely conventional and appropriate content moderation. And nothing in the documents Musk released even mention any government involvement. Also, it’s cute that Trump reposted this comment with a “Thank you” to himself. He then proceeded with the this nonsense…

“Under the Presidential Records Act and the very well established Clinton Socks Case, the raid of Mar-a-Lago by the FBI, and the taking of documents and many other items, was ILLEGAL. Everything should be returned, at once!”

Clearly Trump doesn’t have any idea what he’s talking about. The Presidential Records Act explicitly says that “Presidential records automatically transfer into the legal custody of the Archivist as soon as the President leaves office.” And his hysterical demand that “Everything should be returned,” only affirms his guilt in having taken the documents in the first place.

Trump’s temper tantrum is typical of his infantile response to fear. He knows what he did, and he knows that he isn’t going to get away with it. So he’s lashing out incoherently and, ultimately, impotently. His criminal acts are being documented by prosecutors in New York, Georgia, Florida, and Washington, D.C. Hell, they were even documented inadvertently by Sean Hannity…

Trump Admits He’s Guilty in a Fear-Drenched Rant Attacking the Special Counsel as a ‘Monster’

Another day, another barrage of frenzied rage pouring out of Donald Trump as he sinks ever further into the gloom and doom of his wretched existence. Life at Mar-a-Lago is obviously becoming an unbearably agonizing hell for the former reality TV game show host.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump Sweating

True to form, Trump is reacting to the legal peril of his own making by resorting to whining and childish name-calling. After initially lashing out at Special Counsel Jack Smith as a “Trump hater” (like the majority of Americans), Trump escalated his assault with attacks on Smith’s wife.

RELATED: Trump and His Desperate Right-Wing Conspiracy Kooks Go After Special Counsel Jack Smith’s Wife

On Tuesday morning Trump went even further with his fury over at being held accountable for his many crimes. In a blitzkrieg of bitter posts on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, Trump yowled that he was the innocent victim of biased Justice Department led by a “monster” intent on persecuting him. Poor baby. It was a tedious rehash of every baseless gripe that Trump has babbled for the past several years. For instance

“I’m supposed to get a fair shake from this person, who’s under tremendous pressure from his family, but he is actually worse than they are? Can Republicans, and fair-minded people, generally, allow this to happen? Jack Smith is nothing less than a hit man for Obama, his Attorney General Eric Holder, and Andrew Weissmann. Weaponization. Our Country is in big trouble, a real mess!”

And

“When will you invade Bill and Hillary’s home in search of the 33,000 emails she deleted AFTER receiving a subpoena from the U.S. Congress? When will you invade the other Presidents’ homes in search of documents, which are voluminous, which they took with them, but not nearly so openly and transparently as I did?”

And

“This fully weaponized monster, Jack Smith, shouldn’t be let anywhere near the political persecution of “President Donald J. Trump.” I did nothing wrong on January 6th, and nothing wrong with the Democrats’ fix on the Document Hoax, that is, unless the six previous Presidents did something wrong also….”

So Trump is afraid that he can’t get “a fair shake” because Smith’s family is putting “tremendous pressure” on him? But he is “actually worse than they are?” So then why would there be any pressure, unless they were pressuring him to be more lenient? Trump also dishes out his typically infantile insults saying that Smith is “a hit man for Obama,” and a “monster.” He whines that Smith “shouldn’t be let anywhere near the political persecution” of Trump. So who does he think should be let near the “persecution?”

Trump’s whining that he did nothing wrong is just more of his refusal to take responsibility for having incited an insurrection and having stolen highly sensitive national security documents and hoarding them at his Mar-a-Lago hotel/home, after lying to the FBI about having them. He repeats his ludicrous claims that other presidents have done the same thing, when in fact none of them did. The National Archives has affirmed that all such documents in the past were kept strictly under the control of the Archives.

RELATED: Trump’s Ludicrous ‘Whataboutism’ Falsely Accuses Obama of Absconding With Classified Documents

Trump also complains that the FBI never searched the homes of prior presidents. That may be because there was never any reason to do so. However, in the process Trump explicitly confesses his own guilt. He admits that he took the documents “openly and transparently,” if by “openly and transparently” he means secretly and denying it afterward.

So once again, Trump is his own worst enemy. The more he opens his big mouth, the more evidence of his guilt he provides to prosecutors. So in the words of President Obama, “please proceed.”

Trump and His Desperate Right-Wing Conspiracy Kooks Go After Special Counsel Jack Smith’s Wife

On Thanksgiving day, Donald Trump posted more than forty fanatical memes expressing undying adoration for Dear Leader. They included expressions of worshipful love and loyalty in words pasted over artificially iconic images of Trump as superhero or savior.

Donald Trump, Snake Tongue

Missing from this avalanche of self-adulation were any wishes for a happy Thanksgiving. However, interspersed among the exaltations and QAnon-sense were Trump’s own outpourings of rage against “Radical left” Democrats, and “rigged” courts and judges, and perennial “witch hunts,” all in his warped cranium determined to stifle him and his MAGA cult movement. It was a Thanksgiving Day parade of pity and victimhood.

RELATED: Trump Rages After Tax Return Ruling that Supreme Court is ‘Political’ and ‘Lost its Honor’

At the top of Trump’s miscreant mind was Attorney General Merrick Garland’s recent appointment of a Special Counsel to investigate his criminal activities related to the January 6th insurrection at the Capitol that he incited, and the theft of national security documents that he hoarded – and lied to the FBI about having – at his Mar-a-Lago bunker.

In utter horror over the prospect of his being held accountable, Trump posted several hostile comments on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, directed at Special Counsel, Jack Smith, and more disturbingly, at his wife, documentary filmmaker Katy Chevigny. Trump ranted that…

“Democrats argue a Supreme Court justice (Clarence Thomas) must recuse from cases, based upon the personal political views of his wife (Ginni). So why doesn’t Special Counsel Jack Smith have to recuse, based upon his wife’s anti-Trump/pro-Biden large political donation and other major advocacy on behalf of Democrats?”

And he fumed that…

“The wife of the Special Counsel Biden chose to investigate @realdonaldtrump (his likely opponent in 2024) reportedly produced the Michelle Obama documentary… Yes America, you are reading this correctly.”

Trump’s ravings are typically ego-based and legally befuddled. Analogizing Smith to Clarence Thomas makes no sense. As a Supreme Court justice, Thomas can (and does) make decisions that bear directly on the activities of his wife, Ginni, who was an active participant in the coup staged by Trump and his traitorous StormTrumpers. Thomas has already made rulings that shield his wife from legal scrutiny and potential liability.

On the other hand, Jack Smith’s work as Special Counsel would have no bearing whatsoever on the activities of his wife. Furthermore, unlike Ginni Thomas, Chevigny, and Michele Obama, the subject of her documentary “Becoming,” have not been implicated in efforts to overthrow the government of the United States.

RELATED: Fox News Totally Ignores Story About Ginni Thomas Texting QAnon Nuttery to Mark Meadows

Smith’s wife, like the spouses of all Justice Department attorneys, (and all Americans) is free to support whatever candidates and political parties she wants to. So are the attorneys, for that matter. That doesn’t mean that the career prosecutors to whom they are married are going to exercise bias in the performance of their duties. And it wouldn’t matter if they did. Because the judges who hear the cases aren’t going to adopt any alleged biases if the existed.

Smith’s record in the Justice Department is unblemished by any allegations of political bias. He has prosecuted both Democrats and Republicans in the past. That’s routine for the Justice Department. For instance, special counsel Robert Mueller, who probed Trump’s connections to Russia during the 2016 campaign, was a lifelong Republican.

Trump’s temper tantrum is standard operating procedure for him. It hardly matters what the facts are. He will always strive to contort the circumstances into some sort of personal assault, because all he knows how to do is whine. He has actually bragged that he is the most fabulous whiner,” a claim that is hard to argue with. And he’s providing another outstanding example of it with his reaction to the Special Counsel appointment and the unconscionable attack on his wife.

Trump’s Response to the Appointment of a Special Counsel is Predictably Outraged and Schizoid

Earlier this week Donald Trump announced his intention to seek the Republican nomination for president of the United States in 2024. Trump’s announcement address was a frenzied mess of anger, paranoia, fear mongering, and lies. In other words, it was identical to the rants he has been delivering at his traveling cult rallies for several years.

Donald Trump Circling the Drain

Trump spoke, as he often does, about how awful America is, describing it as a nation plagued by “blood-soaked streets” in “cesspool cities.” And he declared that he has “no doubt that it’s going to get worse.” How inspiring!

RELATED: Fox News Lauds Trump as ‘Unbeatable in 2024’ Following His Dystopian Campaign Announcement

With that uplifting kick-off speech, Trump introduced a complicating factor for Attorney General Merrick Garland and the Justice Department that is investigating Trump’s criminal activities related to the January 6th insurrection that he incited, and his theft of national security materials that he hoarded – and lied about having – at his Mar-a-Lago resort/home.

Garland has now determined that there is sufficient conflict of interest and political considerations to warrant appointing an independent special counsel to continue the probe. It’s a debatable decision with credible arguments for and against. In Garland’s view a special counsel will take the politics out of the investigation. However, Trump sees it only through the lens of his malignant narcissism, and he gave Fox News an exclusive response to the appointment. It will surprise no one that it is rife with hysteria, outrage, and fear…

“I have been going through this for six years – for six years I have been going through this, and I am not going to go through it anymore. And I hope the Republicans have the courage to fight this. I have been proven innocent for six years on everything – from fake impeachments to [former special counsel Robert] Mueller who found no collusion, and now I have to do it more? It is not acceptable. It is so unfair. It is so political. I’m not going to partake in this.

When you’re finished laughing, let’s dig a little deeper into Trump’s meltdown. First of all, he doesn’t get to decide whether he is “going to go through it anymore.” The suspects in crimes don’t get to tell the investigators what to do. And Trump’s pleading for Republicans to rescue him from his legal nightmare is downright pitiful. There is no role for the GOP to assume here, and that would just be reinserting politics into a matter that should be avoiding it.

Furthermore, Trump is lying when he claims that he has “been proven innocent.” There has been no such adjudication. As for Robert Mueller, his report explicitly stated that Trump was not exonerated and it enumerated several instances of alleged obstruction of justice. Mueller told the House Intelligence Committee that Trump’s campaign had “welcomed and encouraged Russian interference,” in the 2016 election, and then lied to cover it up. So let him partake in that. But he wasn’t through whining…

“I have never heard of such a thing. They found nothing. I announce and then they appoint a special prosecutor, They found nothing, and now they take some guy who hates Trump. This is a disgrace and only happening because I am leading in every poll in both parties. It is not even believable that they’re allowed to do this. This is the worst politicization of justice in our country. Hunter Biden is a criminal many times over and nothing happens to him. Joe Biden is a criminal many times over – and nothing happens to them. It is unfair to the country, to the Republican Party, and I don’t think people should accept it. I am not going to accept it. The Republican Party has to stand up and fight.”

So Trump is upset that a special counsel was named after he announced his candidacy. This makes no sense. Would he prefer that the attorneys in the Justice Department conduct the investigation? Of course not. He’s been yammering about that for months. The truth is that he will complain no matter what happens, other than a complete dismissal.

Also, Trump thinks he’s leading in the polls of Democrats? He really has lost all connection to reality. That’s why he babbles about this being “unbelievable,” and that it shouldn’t be allowed. Although he would allow it if it were aimed at Hunter and/or Joe Biden? Perhaps the reason that “nothing happens” to President Biden is that there is no evidence of any crime.

What’s more, Trump has already branded the special counsel, Jack Smith, as “some guy who hates Trump.” There is no way that Trump knows anything about him. For the record, this what Fox News wrote about Smith…

“Attorney General Merrick Garland on Friday appointed former Justice Department official Jack Smith to the role of special counsel to investigate the entirety of the criminal probe into the retention of presidential records held at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home. […] Smith will also oversee the DOJ’s investigation into Jan. 6, a senior Justice Department official told Fox News. […] Smith is a former assistant U.S. attorney and chief to the DOJ’s public integrity section. Since 2018, Smith has been a prosecutor with the International Criminal Court tasked with investigating and adjudicating war crimes in Kosovo.”

Smith gave a statement on Friday saying that he intends…

“…to conduct the assigned investigations, and any prosecutions that may result from them, independently and in the best traditions of the Department of Justice. The pace of the investigations will not pause or flag under my watch. I will exercise independent judgment and will move the investigations forward expeditiously and thoroughly to whatever outcome the facts and the law dictate.”

Sounds like a real radical, liberal, communist, Trump hater, huh? This is the typical reaction by Trump to any event that is less than a celebration of his self-perceived magnificence. But whether he knows it or not, the spell is wearing off for many former Trump supporters. In fact, he is now issuing threats in order to secure their continued support. And while Trump got the context wrong above, he was right that “it’s just going to get worse” – for him.

RELATED: Wannabe Dictator Trump Resorts to Threatening Weak Republicans to Get Pledges of Support

UPDATE: Trump posted a six minute video with a more elaborate rant about the special counsel appointment. He was speaking at an America First Policy Institute event. The AFPI was founded by Larry Kudlow, to whom Trump refers to several times. Kudlow is a former Trump economic advisor and current Fox News host. What follows are a few excerpts that reveal that Trump is merely recycling the same old grievance and victimhood nonsense that he’s been disgorging for years.

  • “I wanted to address the appalling announcement today by the egregiously corrupt Biden administration and their weaponized Department of Justice.”
  • “This horrendous abuse of power is the latest in a long series of witch hunts.”
  • “the corrupt and highly political Justice Department just appointed a super radical left special counsel.”
  • “Lisa Monaco, a major trump hater … She is totally controlled by Andrew Weissman … bad guy. And he’s an even bigger Trump hater.”
  • “the Mueller scam, which ended up as you know, no conclusion.”
  • “This is a rigged deal, just as the 2020 election was rigged.”
  • “Hunter, who is a corrupt drug addict and implementer for his father.”
  • “I’ve proven to be one of the most honest and innocent people ever in our country.”
  • “We went through two of them. Wouldn’t this be like double jeopardy?”

Trump Viciously Attacks Judge for Assigning Monitor to Prevent His Continuing Criminal Acts

There is nothing that Donald Trump hates more than being held accountable for his notoriously bad behavior, whether personally immoral or publicly criminal. But despite his aversion to being punished for his wrongdoings, he persists in committing them and complains when there are well deserved consequences.

Donald Trump Angry

What set Trump off was that Judge Arthur Engoron, who is presiding over the civil suit filed by the New York Attorney General, Letitia James, ruled in favor of assigning an independent monitor to whom Trump would have to report in order to stop him from committing any further fraudulent business practices. Trump couldn’t suppress his seething anger at the judge, or at the thought of the law finding him liable. And it wasn’t the first time…

RELATED: Stable Genius? Trump Maniacally Attacks the Judge Presiding Over His Fraud Trial in New York

On Friday morning Trump demonstrated his hair-trigger hostility for the rule of law by posting a hysterical comment on his floundering social media scam, Truth Social. Trump whined that Judge Engoron is “A Radical Left Lunatic Judge” who is “dedicated largely to defaming me,” and “was appointed … by my worst political enemies.” And as is the case with everything that Trump criticizes, it is all “Rigged & Corrupt.”

First of all, Judge Engoron was elected, not appointed. But those pesky facts don’t deter Trump from his raging or pathetic sense of perpetual victimhood. He followed up that rant a few hours later writing that…

“The New York State Court System is being ridiculed all over the World! You have a Corrupt, Racist, Weak on Crime Attorney General, Letitia ‘Peekaboo’James, who campaigned on ‘I will get Trump, even though she knew NOTHING about me. Then you have a highly political, biased Judge, who is totally controlled by my worst enemies. His rulings and manner are SICK. He gave his quick hearing, & ridiculous decision, right before Midterms – A No No! He’s worse than Peekaboo, and a real ‘Trump Hater.'”

Once again, Trump has a uniquely perverse perspective of reality. Any ridicule being expressed around the world is almost entirely directed at Trump. And AG James knows enough about him to have accumulated abundant evidence of his crimes. Which is what is really gnawing at him.

Trump seems to think that there is some benefit to insulting the presiding judge as “SICK” and corrupt and biased. And Trump also mistakenly believes that it’s “a no no” to bring him up on state charges. He’s going to find out the hard way that none of that is true. There is a sound legal basis for the monitor, which was outlined in the ruling. As reported by CNN

“A New York state judge on Thursday imposed a monitor to oversee the Trump Organization’s financial statements after the New York attorney general’s office asked for added oversight to stop what they allege is a decade-long fraud conducted by former President Donald Trump and three of his adult children.

“Judge Arthur Engoron wrote in an 11-page opinion that given the ‘persistent misrepresentations throughout every one of Mr. Trump’s [financial statements] between 2011 and 2021, the Court finds that the appointment of an independent monitor is the most prudent and narrowly tailored mechanism to ensure there is no further fraud or illegality.'”

In short, the monitor was put in place to prevent Trump from selling or transferring any assets, or undertaking any corporate restructuring, without prior notice and approval from the court. The necessity of this monitoring was made evident by Trump’s attempt to create a new entity – Trump Organization 2 – into which he could transfer his business assets to shield them from the $250 million lawsuit filed by the the New York Attorney General.

Trump’s wrath over this ruling is just his latest meltdown. When he was required to sit for a deposition in the case, he pleaded the Fifth Amendment more than 400 times. And he has already filed two lawsuits attempting to derail the legal cases against him. To date, that has been a fruitless effort driven by desperation. But then, that’s all he has left. And he knows it. Were he innocent he would be arguing for an acquittal rather than insulting the judge and the court.

Trump Files Another Lame Lawsuit Against the New York Attorney General Who He Hates and Fears

For most of Donald Trump’s public life he has been known as serially litigious. He uses the courts as a tool to intimidate and obstruct those with whom he has any disagreement whether legal, financial, political, or personal. For the most part it has only been effective when used against small businesses that he sought stiff. He has had much less success with it in the political realm.

Donald Trump Sweating

However, that doesn’t mean Trump hasn’t seen some benefit from his lawsuit frenzies. They have served to delay accountability by abusing the system with multiple filings and appeals. Never mind that those efforts generally end in failure for Trump.

Despite his record of repudiation by the courts, Trump persists in filing his pathetic and futile lawsuits. The latest one was filed on Wednesday against Letitia James, the Attorney General of New York. James is suing Trump for fraud related to his shady real estate business. So naturally, Trump is trying to evade accountability again with a legal distraction that has no chance of success.

Trump announced the filing Wednesday on his floundering social media scam, Truth Social, buried within a barrage of 72 mostly nauseatingly narcissistic posts the same day. Trump wrote that…

“Today, I filed a lawsuit in Florida State Circuit Court against the corrupt Attorney General of New York State, Letitia “Peekaboo” James. New York State is one of the most crime-ridden places on earth with murders, robberies, drug deals, and every other form of crime setting records on a weekly basis.”

First of all, it is ridiculous to file a lawsuit in Florida against the Attorney General New York. But that’s just the beginning of Trump’s foolishness. He repeats his infantile nickname for James (“Peekaboo”) for which no one can figure out the meaning. And he chastises James for not eliminating all crime in New York, which isn’t her job. In New York local district attorneys have jurisdiction over those matters, not the state Attorney General. But Trump wasn’t through. He went on to whine about being subjected to the law, like every other citizen…

“[James] attacks great and upstanding businesses which have done nothing wrong, like the very successful, job and tax producing Trump Organization that I have painstakingly built over a long period of years. Crooked and highly partisan James now thinks it is the business of the State of New York to go after my revocable trust and pry into my private estate plan, only to look for ways to recklessly injure me, my family, my businesses, and my tens of millions of supporters.”

Setting aside the fact that the Trump Organization is neither successful, nor a job creator, Trump is dismissing the abundance of evidence proving that he and his family have actually done a great deal of wrong. And it’s cute that he tries to reflect his own criminal behavior on his not-nearly millions of cult supporters, who are not the targets of James’ lawsuit. And he still had more to say…

“If I were not elected President of the United States, and now leading in the polls by substantial margins against both Democrats and Republicans, this would not be happening.”

Trump may be partly right about this. Had he not elevated himself in the public eye, he might have slithered by with his crimes, as he had done for many years before he ran for office. But his massive, yet fragile, ego drove him to put himself in legal jeopardy, believing that he is untouchable.

For her part, AG James replied to Trump’s filing by noting that Trump’s prior lawsuits have been laughed out of court. And she reiterated her that position that the New York Attorney General will not be intimidated or dissuaded by Trump’s impotent bluster…

“Multiple judges have dismissed Donald Trump’s baseless attempts to evade justice, and no number of lawsuits will deter us from pursuing this fraud. We sued Donald Trump because he committed extensive financial fraud. That fact hasn’t changed, and neither will our resolve to ensure that no matter how powerful or political one might be, no one is above the law.”

This lawsuit by Trump follows other recent efforts to evade accountability. But those efforts reeked of desperation and fear. For instance, when Trump was forced to give a deposition, he pleaded the Fifth Amendment more than 400 times. And in another bonehead play, Trump lashed out at the judge presiding over his case. All of which reveals just how tortured Trump is by these proceedings. He know he’s guilty, and has no recourse but to throw his feeble temper tantrums. and so he does.

UPDATE: Trump has dropped this lawsuit in order to avoid more sanctions for frivolous filings.

Stable Genius? Trump Maniacally Attacks the Judge Presiding Over His Fraud Trial in New York

The trial of Donald Trump and his crime family in New York for fraudulent business practices has revealed a a great deal about Trump and his deteriorating temperament. From the day the lawsuit was announced, rather than making a rational case for his innocence, Trump responded by throwing tantrums aimed at NY Attorney General Letitia James, who he maligned as corrupt and, oddly, racist (James is Black). And does anyone know why he calls her “Peekaboo”?

Donald Trump, Insane, Straight Jacket

Prior to the commencement of the trial, Trump was deposed by James, which gave him an opportunity to state for the record that he was not guilty. Instead, Trump pleaded the Fifth Amendment – more than 400 times. This from someone who previously insisted that only the guilty and mobsters take the Fifth.

RELATED: Snowflake Trump Pleads the Fifth Amendment, So Let’s Break Down His Desperately Deranged Reasons

The trial began on Monday with jury selection, which Trump has already challenged. He filed a motion seeking to dismiss all eighteen members of the jury because one member of the jury pool – who wasn’t selected – said that she was biased. Trump’s motion was denied.

On Thursday Trump demonstrated some of that “stable genius” mentality that he is known for, at least in his own warped mind. On his floundering social media scam, Truth Social, Trump lashed out at the judge who is presiding over the case. Trump raged that…

“The only person who may be worse than weak on violent crime A.G. Letitia “Peekaboo” James, is the Judge we have on her ridiculous & highly partisan case against me & my family. His name is Arthur Engoron, & he is a vicious, biased, and mean “rubber stamp” for the Communist takeover of the great & prosperous American company that I have built over a long period of years. He was appointed by my worst enemies. Case was to go to a new Judge, but he demands to keep it. I have no jury or Civil Rights!”

Trump , of course, is known for his feverish hyperbole and rancid outbursts. But he truly exceeded his reputation with this comment. Trump’s attorneys may be uncomfortable with him insulting the judge so savagely. That isn’t likely to endear them, or him, to the court. And the accusations that the judge is not only “vicious, biased, and mean,” but also a communist, can only be seen as an attempt to later plead insanity.

Trump’s complaint that he has “no jury or Civil Rights” is plainly nonsense. He contradicted himself with his motion to dismiss the jury that he now says he doesn’t have. And he didn’t bother to state which civil right he was denied. Perhaps he’s referring to the Justice Department’s informal practice (not a civil right) of not prosecuting cases near an election. He posted a second assault on the court on that subject…

“In breaking with a long standing and powerful tradition where cases involving politicos are not to be brought or tried just prior to, or during, a major Election (the Midterms), I have THREE, all run and inspired by Democrats, who absolutely refused to move the date. They demand it be now. So much for tradition and unwritten rules and laws!!!”

At least Trump acknowledges that these rules (which should be revoked) are unwritten. Actually, they are written, but they are not law. What he doesn’t acknowledge is that there isn’t any election in progress wherein he is a candidate. So the rules would not apply to him at this time. He’s also displaying his blatant hypocrisy, because he has been calling for the prosecution of everyone from President Biden to Hillary Clinton to Merrick Garland, and more, all during the same election cycle.

Trump’s hostility toward this judge, the AG, and every civic institution that represents America, is once again evident in his tirades. He remains the most whiny, paranoid, crybaby of victimhood in public life. And somehow his glassy-eyed cult followers regard him as a man of strength, when he couldn’t possibly be more pathetic, frightened, and, ultimately, impotent.

Trump’s 14 Page Response to Being Subpoenaed By the January 6th Committee is Laughably Pathetic

As the January 6th Committee investigating the insurrection at the Capitol winds to a close, they took a step to complete the record of evidence by issuing a subpoena for the last, and most conspicuously guilty, witness that has yet to testify. That, of course, is Donald Trump, who incited the deadly riots and for three hours did nothing to stop them.

Donald Trump Angry

On Friday morning Trump posted his interminably drawn out fourteen page response (pdf) to the Committee’s subpoena in a long and utterly substanceless screed that was signed by him alone (i.e. no attorneys). It was essentially a ponderous elaboration on his knee-jerk hissy fit on Thursday.

RELATED: Trump Lashes Out Impotently After January 6th Committee Votes to Subpoena Him

The protracted version of Trump’s psychosis was predictably incoherent and devoid of any relevant facts. It just another obvious deflection from the subject of the hearings and as tedious rehashing of his baseless reasons to assume that voter fraud took place. The tirade began with Trump wallowing in his victimhood and lashing out at his perceived persecutors:

“The same group of Radical Left Democrats who utilized their Majority position in Congress to create the fiction of Russia, Russia, Russia, Impeachment Hoax #1, Impeachment Hoax #2, the $48 Million Mueller Report (which ended in No Collusion!), Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine, the atrocious and illegal Spying on my Campaign, and so much more, are the people who created this Committee of highly partisan political Hacks and Thugs whose sole function is to destroy the lives of many hard-working American Patriots, whose records in life have been unblemished until this point of attempted ruination.”

It’s nice of Trump to itemize all of the illegal and unethical activities he has engaged in over the years. Never mind his perpetually hollow denials of any culpability. He went on to whine that…

“This memo is being written to express our anger, disappointment, and complaint that with all of the hundreds of millions of dollars spent on what many consider to be a Charade and Witch Hunt, and despite strong and powerful requests, you have not spent even a short moment on examining the massive Election Fraud that took place during the 2020 Presidential Election, and have targeted only those who were, as concerned American Citizens, protesting the Fraud itself. Those who committed the Fraud, thereby having created the Crime of the Century, go unblemished and untouched, but those who fought the Crime have suffered a fate that was unthinkable just a short time ago. We have a two-tier system of Justice in the United States that cannot be allowed to continue.”

Here Trump is appalled that the Committee is responsibly adhering to the topics that it was established to investigate. He is dismayed that they aren’t veering off into the fantasy world of imagined offenses against Trump. He is outraged that the Committee isn’t humoring him about election fraud that didn’t take place, and for which he and his minions have failed to provide evidence for nearly two years. And he is projecting his own fears unto his cult followers, attempting to make them believe that they are victims.

The ridiculous document goes on to complain that he got “millions more votes in 2020 than I did in 2016.” Someone needs to tell Trump that the objective in an election is to get more votes than your opponent, not more than yourself four years earlier. Similarly irrelevant is his observation that “almost the entire Republican Party feel that the Election was Rigged and Stolen.” That’s merely more evidence that the GOP is pitifully delusional and indoctrinated into the Cult of Trump.

Trump repeats his totally false assertion that he “recommended and authorized thousands of troops to be deployed to ensure that there was peace, safety, and security at the Capitol.” No, actually, he didn’t. But it’s interesting to note that this lie suggests he thought that the Capitol needed protection from his own supporters. PolitiFact’s detailed analysis documented that there is no record of Trump authorizing troops, no evidence that Pelosi denied such an authorization, and that she doesn’t have the authority to do so in the first place.

Trump also lied that the Committee hearings had “very poor television ratings.” To the contrary, the hearings from the very start broke viewing records. With over 18 million viewers, they had a larger audience that the Game two of the NBA Finals.

RELATED: January 6th Hearing Ratings are Burning Up Trump and His Right-Wing Media Liars

In closing, Trump said something that was actually true. He noted that “The people of this Country will not stand for unequal justice under the law.” Indeed, the majority of Americans want to see Trump indicted and prosecuted. And finally, nine of the fourteen pages of his response were devoted to an appendix that was entirely composed of flagrantly false allegations of election fraud – all of which were debunked many times, long ago – and nonsense such as references to Hunter Biden’s laptop.

The Committee’s chairman, Bennie Thompson, summed up the hearings saying that…

“[Trump] tried to take away the voice of the American people in choosing their president and replace the will of the voters with his will to remain in power. […] He is required to answer for his actions. He is required to answer to those police officers who put their lives and bodies on the line to defend our democracy. He is required to answer to those millions of Americans who’s votes he wanted to throw out as part of his scheme to remain in power.”

As for Trump, his lengthy reply failed to state whether he would comply with the subpoena. If the past is any indication, he will try to delay any testimony by challenging the subpoena in court. Failing that, he will try to run out the clock and hope that Republicans gain control of the House and disband the Committee. But even if he were to appear, he would almost certainly refuse to answer questions by pleading the 5th Amendment, as he did more than 400 times when deposed by the New York Attorney General.

According to New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman, Trump told aides “that he’s not opposed to the idea of testifying before the committee, as long as it’s on his terms.” By which he specified that the testimony be aired live. That’s been done with many other witnesses, so the Committee would surely agree to it for Trump. And since it would likely result in Trump embarrassing and/or incriminating himself even further, all that would be missing is the popcorn.
