Crybaby Trump Has a New Year’s Eve Breakdown Over Former Staffers Telling the Truth About Him

Poor Donald Trump isn’t having a very happy New Year. Instead, he is spending it posting odious outbursts on his failing social media scam, Truth Social. By noon he had posted 41 comments that put his psychoses prominently on display. And that was a holiday abbreviated crop of his crackpot commentary.

Donald Trump, Snowflakes

Despite his hatred of the media that he calls “the enemy of the people,” Trump watches it almost constantly, anchoring himself to his sofa with a Diet Coke, a bucket of KFC, and his remote control. He pays particular attention to any program wherein his name is mentioned. And he takes no days off to let his rancor rest for a while. He’s a 24/7 malice machine. Not even Christmas could keep Trump from delivering one of his animus-fueled rants…

SEE THIS: Crybaby Trump is Whining (Again) About Having a Blue Xmas – Poor Thing

What triggered Trump on this New Year’s Eve was an interview that aired on ABC’s “This Week” that featured three of his former White House staffers (video below). Like many of the people who know Trump best, they have come to recognize just how dangerous he is, and how destructive to American democracy another Trump term would be. As ABC News reported

“Three women who served in former President Donald Trump’s White House are now warning against a possible second Trump term, with one of them saying it could mean ‘the end of American democracy as we know it.’

“For the first time, former White House Communications Director Alyssa Farah Griffin, former White House deputy press secretary Sarah Matthews, and former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson sat down together with ABC News ‘This Week’ co-anchor Jonathan Karl to discuss their roles in speaking out against Trump in the wake of Jan. 6.

“‘Fundamentally, a second Trump term could mean the end of American democracy as we know it, and I don’t say that lightly,’ Griffin, now a co-host of ABC’s ‘The View,’ told Karl, accusing the former president of having gone to ‘historic and unconstitutional lengths’ in attempting to ‘steal a democratic election’ and to stay in power.”

It was Griffin who attracted the brunt of Trump’s anger. Of the 41 posts on Truth Social, 11 were about Griffin. Mostly they were complimentary quotes from when she was still working for him. Trump seems to think that people don’t change their minds after seeing their boss incite an insurrection, and watch with glee as his cult followers smash doors and windows to break into the Capitol, assault police officers and members of Congress, and attempt to prevent the certification of a democratic election.

Griffin’s view that another Trump term could mean “the end of American democracy” was shared by her colleagues. They all spoke about how dangerous Trump is, and his promises of “retribution” should he reoccupy the White House. They acknowledged knowing other former staffers and members of Congress who feel the same way they do, but who aren’t speaking out due to fear of Trump’s threats against them personally and professionally.

They have seen what Trump’s rabid disciples are capable of. In addition to the storming of the Capitol, many of Trump’s critics have had to hire private security to protect them from his fanatic supporters. Which makes the courage of these three women all the more commendable. All of them have received death threats and other obscene harassment. And it isn’t coincidental that Trump’s attacks are directed at women.

The new year is likely to see more of the same sort of bullying and intimidation by Trump and his minions. In fact, it is likely to become even more intense as his legal tribulations continue to unfold. He makes the very same sort of rhetorical assaults on the prosecutors, witnesses, and judges in his cases. Which may – and should – land him jail for contempt of court.

Given the abundance of evidence against him, Trump is certain to be convicted of at least some of the 91 felony charges that he is currently facing. And the prospect of that is gnawing at him day and night. That will undoubtedly produce ever more manic outbursts. Consequently, the sooner Trump is held accountable for his crimes, the better off the nation – and the world – will be. And the sooner that we all can have a truly HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Newsmax (and Trump) are Still Obsessed with (and Afraid of) Cassidy Hutchinson’s Jan 6 Testimony

Two weeks ago, Cassidy Hutchinson, the aide to Trump’s former chief of staff, Mark Meadows, testified before the House Select Committee investigating the January 6th insurrection that was incited by Donald Trump. And ever since then Trump has been noticeably agitated and frantically determined to malign her in the most grotesquely personal manner.

Donald Trump, Twitter

Trump’s fear and animosity, while hateful and dangerous, was understandable considering what Hutchinson revealed. Her testimony affirmed that Trump was aware that weapons were present at his January 6th rally speech, and that he “didn’t f—ing care” because “they aren’t here to hurt me.” She also disclosed Trump’s seething anger had erupted into food flinging temper tantrums. And she told the Committee that White House lawyers were worried about criminal charges, and that several members of Congress had sought pardons from Trump.

RELATED: The Crimes Trump Can (Should) Be Indicted For Now, According to Watergate Prosecutor and Others

The fact that Hutchinson’s testimony was so broadly viewed by record TV audiences is also likely a source of intense dread for Trump, as well as the Trump-fluffing media that worships him. For instance, Newsmax host and fawning Trump sycophant, Greg Kelly, attacked Hutchinson Monday night saying that…

“Cassidy Hutchinson … They are still obsessed with her. I think quite frankly, one of the reasons why they’re talking about her testimony so much is based on her appearance. I do. She’s an above average person when it comes to looks. but very below average in other ways, I am told.”

It’s hysterical that Kelly says that some ambiguous “they” are obsessed with Hutchinson, when clearly he’s the one whose fixation is so unrelenting. And like a lovesick – albeit misogynistic – adolescent who can’t admit his infatuation, he demeans her by reducing her impact to merely her appearance. Even in that regard, he can’t simply say that she’s pretty, only “above average.” Then he concludes by insulting her intelligence, which he attributes to some other unnamed source.

Which brings us to Trump, who the following morning posted a slanderous comment about Hutchinson on his pitifully failing Twitter clone website, TRUTH Social. It was the sixth time he’s attacked her since she testified, despite repeatedly insisting that he “barely knew or even recognize” her. He ranted…

“Can you imagine the Unselect Committee, which was formed solely for the purpose of bringing down my ‘numbers, or worse, relying on the fake and made up stories, already largely debunked, of a female scam artist, Cassidy Hutchinson, who desperately wanted to go with the Trump Team to Florida long after January 6th, and went ‘crazy’ when she was told no. They called her a ‘leaker’ and worse, didn’t want her.”

Let’s just set aside Trump’s pathetic whining about the Committee’s purpose, and his ludicrous assertion that anything revealed to date has been debunked. Trump eventually got to his main point, petulantly disparaging Hutchinson as “a female scam artist.” Never mind that he couldn’t cite a single example of anything she said that was untrue. And like every other critic that has come out of his own administration, he portrays her as a low-level, incompetent, bent on betraying him for some reason.

You have to wonder why Trump hired so many people who were disloyal losers. But the answer may just be that he is projecting the two most prominent components of his narcissistic, so-called personality. In the the opening statements of Tuesday’s Committee hearing, vice-chair Liz Cheney said that…

“President Trump is a 76-year- old man. He is not an impressionable child. Just like everyone else in our country, he is responsible for his own actions and his own choices.”

That’s an exceedingly generous characterization of Trump. While he is certainly “responsible for his own actions and his own choices,” and he must be held accountable for them, it’s also painfully obvious that he is, in fact, “an impressionable child,” at least in his emotional maturity, or lack thereof. And we can expect more of these infantile outbursts going forward in his appearances with the suck-ups on Newsmax, and in his own comments on TRUTH Social, if it isn’t shut down first.

Trump is Terrified that WH Counsel Cipollone Will Tell the Truth to the January 6th Committee

Donald Trump is a severely disturbed individual in desperate need of intense psychotherapy. But being too debilitated by his malignant narcissism to seek the help he so obviously needs, he has been using his failing social media website, TRUTH Social, as his personal, online, cathartic release valve. He employs it almost exclusively to vent about whatever happens to be outraging, depressing, or frightening him at the moment.

Donald Trump Sweating

In a recent post, Trump ranted incoherently about the wholly imaginary fears that are consuming his warped state of mind. The triggering event this time is the pending testimony of Pat Cipollone, his former White House counsel, before the House Select Committee investigating the January 6th insurrection that Trump incited.

Previous testimony by Cassidy Hutchinson, the former aide to Trump’s chief of staff, Mark Meadows, revealed that Cipollone warned Trump that his participation in plots to overturn the election, including his encouragement of the insurrection, were unlawful. “Please make sure we don’t go up to the Capitol, Cassidy,” Cipollone implored Hutchinson. “We’re going to get charged every crime imaginable if we make that movement happen.”

Seeking additional details about Trump’s activities during, and leading up to, the Capitol riots, the Committee has recalled Cipollone. And that has elicited the following furor by the former reality TV game show host…

“Why would a future President of the United States want to have candid and important conversations with his White House Counsel if he thought there was even a small chance that this person, essentially acting as a ‘lawyer’ for the Country, may some day be brought before a partisan and openly hostile Committee in Congress, or even a fair and reasonable Committee, to reveal the inner secrets of foreign policy or other important matters. So bad for the USA!”

This tirade is another demonstration of how ignorant Trump is of governmental processes and law. He thinks that every conversation with the White House counsel is privileged. That’s false. Conversations that do not involve the official duties of the president are not shielded by either executive or attorney/client privilege. More to the point in this case, is that conversations that involve the commission of a crime are likewise not protected.

RELATED: Trump is Freaking Out that the January 6th Hearings are So Effectively Illuminating His Crimes

What Trump is really asking is “Why would a future President of the United States want to” discuss with his White House counsel his seditious plot to undermine democracy and overthrow the government? Which is actually an excellent question. Too bad for Trump that he didn’t think of it before incriminating himself.

Furthermore, there is nothing in the conversations that the Committee is seeking testimony for that involve “inner secrets of foreign policy or other important [official] matters.” That’s a red herring that Trump threw into the stew to make his cult disciples believe that he has a rational argument. He doesn’t.

Trump is also showing that he is ignorant of recent history. His hysterical reaction to the testimony of his White House counsel suggests that he thinks it is an unprecedented affair. However, anyone with a bit of institutional memory knows that Richard Nixon’s counsel, John Dean, testified before Congress, and was instrumental in Nixon’s downfall. Or perhaps someone did inform Trump of this fact, and that’s what he’s afraid of.

In any case, Trump’s fear is well founded. With the accumulating evidence of criminal behavior on his part, and that of his associates, he must know that there will likely be legal consequences to follow. So he’s lashing out with these pitifully ignorant outbursts in the safety of his own social media website. He obviously isn’t trying to convince the public at large that he’s an innocent victim of “deep state” persecutors.

related: The Crimes Trump Can (Should) Be Indicted For Now, According to Watergate Prosecutor and Others

In fact, Trump is just adding to his legal peril by unleashing more incendiary comments that have the potential to incite more violence. And the members of the House Committee, as well as prosecutors in the Justice Department and state offices, are surely paying attention.

The Crimes Trump Can (Should) Be Indicted For Now, According to Watergate Prosecutor and Others

The evidence that Donald Trump is guilty of multiple crimes related to the January 6th insurrection that he incited continues to mount. And the legal peril that he faces became even more pronounced with the testimony by Cassidy Hutchinson, the aide to Trump’s former chief of staff, Mark Meadows. That testimony is having a profound impact on the American people who watched the hearing in record numbers.

Hutchinson’s testimony is also having an impact on Trump. He was so distraught by her disclosures that he rushed into the arms of the Trump-fluffers at Newsmax to complain frantically that the House Select Committee was “illegally formed” and that Hutchinson is “absolutely crazy.” Neither of which is true, but both of which illustrate his panicky desperation and total lack of any factual basis.

RELATED: Crybaby Trump Whines on Newsmax About the Increasingly Incriminating January 6th Hearings

Affirming the imminent legal threat to Trump, renowned Watergate prosecutor Jill Wine-Banks appeared on MSNBC to discuss the Committee hearings and the potential future consequences for Trump and his criminal confederates. Her assessment of the situation is certain to exacerbate his already heated anxiety:

“Trump could now be charged with a number of crimes — but one key offense would keep him out of federal office forever, Watergate prosecutor Jill Wine-Banks said on MSNBC Friday. Wine-Banks said the ‘best’ crime for Trump is Title 18 of the U.S. Code, Section 2383 — the crime of ‘rebellion or insurrection’ against the U.S. — because the penalty is tougher than just prison time.

“’I think it would be horrible not to act on what is now blatantly obvious to anyone who has watched the hearings’ being held by the House Jan. 6 committee, Wine-Banks said.

“’My favorite crime would be 2383 — not the seditious conspiracy’ charge, which is Section 2384, she added. ‘The reason is that the penalty for 2383 is not just jail; it is being barred from ever holding federal office again,’ Wine-Banks explained. ‘And for me, that would be a more important goal than jailing the former president.’”

Certainly permitting Trump to have access to any measure of power would be virtually suicidal for the nation. His authoritarian aspirations would put an end to America’s principles of liberty and democracy. But the necessity of demonstrating that there is no one who is above the law is just as important. And Trump must face the consequences of his seditious acts. To that end, Wine-Banks went on to note that there are several other crimes that Trump can be charged with…

“There is, of course … obstruction of Congress, obstruction of justice, witness tampering — so many things just based on Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimony, just hers, for those few hours, [she] laid out all of those crimes,” Wine-Banks said. “And then you have many more besides that,” she added.

Wine-Banks isn’t the only learned legal mind to express these sentiments. Liz Cheney, the Republican vice chair of the House Select Committee, constitutional professor Lawrence Tribe, and even Fox News legal analyst Andrew McCarthy, hold similar views:

There has been a great deal of debate in Washington with regard to the plausibility of indicting Trump. While there is a fair amount of consensus that he is guilty, some of the more timid players think that prosecuting him would be too political. However, the glaring flaw in their opinion is that choosing not to prosecute because he is a former president is, by definition, political.

There is no avoiding the politics inherent in this situation. Consequently, the only way forward is to rely on the rule of law and practice it fairly and without favor to status or privilege. Anything less would be a stain on the democracy and justice that America purports to represent.

Cassidy Hutchinson Testimony for the January 6th Committee Breaks TV Viewing Records

On Tuesday the House Select Committee investigating the January 6th insurrection that Donald Trump incited held a previously unscheduled hearing. It featured jarring testimony from Cassidy Hutchinson, a top aide to Trump’s chief of staff, Mark Meadows, who Trump incredulously claimed he hardly knew.

Hutchinson revealed that Trump was aware that weapons were present at his January 6th rally speech, and that he “didn’t f—ing care” because “they aren’t here to hurt me.” She also disclosed Trump’s seething anger that erupted into food flinging tantrums. And she told the Committee that White House lawyers were worried about criminal charges and that several members of Congress had sought pardons from Trump. These revelations and more have triggered Trump to whine about the Committee not presenting his side of the story. But that’s primarily because he has been too cowardly to show up and defend himself under oath, as all of the Republican witnesses have done.

RELATED: Crybaby Trump Slams the January 6th Committee For Nixing His Witnesses – Who Refused to Testify

Contrary to Trump’s repeated lying, the Committee’s televised hearings have been watched by millions of concerned Americans. And Hutchinson’s testimony drew even more viewers than all of the other sessions, with the exception of the first one that aired in primetime. In fact, it drew more viewers than all but the last of the NBA championship games. According to the Los Angeles Times

“Cassidy Hutchinson testimony set audience record for a daytime Jan. 6 hearing.”

“More than 13 million Americans tuned in to watch bombshell testimony from a former White House aide this week, making the Jan. 6 committee’s latest hearing its second-most-viewed thus far.

“The Tuesday afternoon hearing, which the committee announced just a day ahead of time, featured 25-year-old Cassidy Hutchinson, who served as an aide to former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows. Her dramatic testimony attracted 13,231,000 viewers across all major networks, including ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and MSNBC, according to numbers from Nielsen, a ratings firm. This total topped the previous four hearings, which won audiences of about 10 million to 11 million people. The first Jan. 6 hearing, on June 9, drew about 20 million viewers, but it aired in prime time.”

Notably absent from the list of networks above is Fox News. That’s because it barely contributed to the viewing totals. Fox’s audience is apparently so attached to the lies that shape their alternative reality, that they will even tune out Fox News – the source of the lies that shape their alternative reality. Then, when the frightening truth-telling is over, they stream back to watch Sean Hannity and the network’s other propaganda pushers.

RELATED: Frightened Fox News Audience Tunes Out January 6th Hearings Even When They Air on Fox

The hearings are being closely followed by a majority (58%) of Americans. And they are having a noticeable impact on public opinion. When asked in a recent poll if “misleading Americans about the outcome of an election” is a crime, a massive majority of 69% said definitely/probably “Yes,” including 59% of Republicans. The numbers were almost identical when respondents were asked whether “the Department of Justice should bring legal action against” the offending elected officials.

What’s more, the L.A. Times quoted pollster Celinda Lake saying that…

“The support for the hearings has increased over time. And what is emerging very, very strongly from the hearings is not just that [former President] Trump was responsible, but there was a faction of the Republicans, Trump Republicans, who were responsible as well. And that this was about overturning the will of the people, overturning the elections.” […and that…]

“There is an evolving narrative. People see it as a crime, but they also see it as a criminal conspiracy. They demand accountability, and they’re very serious about what they consider accountability. And we are seeing these numbers increase quite dramatically over the course of the hearings.”

As for Trump, he has been behaving in precisely the deranged manner that is expected of such an emotionally stunted man-baby. Throughout the hearings the former reality TV game show host (who is psychotically obsessed with TV ratings) has flung flagrant falsehoods about the unprecedented audience the hearings have generated. His gaslighting lies included…

It remains among the most puzzling aspects of the Trump era that he can so shamelessly foster such easily provable lies, and that there are still people so indoctrinated into his cult that they believe him.

And that’s what makes him so dangerous. What’s next? Will Trump merely continue with his grifting and the fleecing of his followers? Will he attempt to start a civil war? Will he pass out cups of “Kool-Aid” at his next rally? Unfortunately, there is no way to predict what depths Trump might sink to. Nor is there any way to calculate the bottom. After trying to violently overthrow the U.S. government, He is literally capable of anything.

Crybaby Trump Whines on Newsmax About the Increasingly Incriminating January 6th Hearings

As the hearings by the House Select Committee investigating the January 6th insurrection continue, the twice-impeached, former reality TV game show host who incited it is becoming ever more rattled and desperate. Donald Trump has been seething with rage that is fueling his latest round of lies and infantile insults.

Donald Trump WTF

Not satisfied with posting his rants on his failing TRUTH Social Twitter clone, Trump spent some quality time with the fawning sycophants at Newsmax (video below). The resulting “interview” with Trump toady Rob Finnerty was notable only for Trump’s relentless and tedious repetition of his “greatest hits” from the past, including crowd pleasers like “Russia, Russia, Russia,” the Ukraine extortion, and of course, his “Big Lie” that the 2020 presidential election was “rigged” and “stolen” from him. Trump also had his spokes-shill post the video of this interview on Twitter, after she and Trump swore never to tweet again. That lasted just three weeks.

RELATED: LOCK HIM UP: Trump’s TRUTH Social Scam is Being Criminally Investigated By a Federal Grand Jury

In the Newsmax interview, Trump eventually did get around to more current news being made by the January 6th Committee. And not surprisingly, he was fixated on Tuesday’s witness, Cassidy Hutchinson, assistant to Trump’s chief of staff, Mark Meadows. The main point that Trump sought to make was that he hardly knew the top aide to his highest ranking White House staffer. That’s an admission of a remarkable state of cognitive disengagement.

After being asked the first question, Trump rambled endlessly about the Committee that is so effectively illuminating his legal and moral malfeasance. He began by replying to a question about Hutchinson’s testimony:

“I thought it was absolutely crazy. This committee is, a lot of people say, illegally formed. But when you look at what they’re doing, and what they’re saying, and what they’re doing to their country – and now the good news is a lot of people aren’t watching, a lot of people aren’t listening to it – but they’re trying to do real harm.

First of all, the only people saying that the committee was “illegally formed” are the voices in Trump’s diseased cranium. And as for whether people are watching, Trump surely knows that the ratings have been through the roof. Well, except for Fox News where viewers were so afraid of being exposed to actual facts that they refused to tune in. But Trump’s outburst was only just beginning. He continued raging that…

“This lady yesterday [Hutchinson]. There’s something wrong with her? Is there something wrong? She said I jumped from the car and I started strangling? Think of this…I started strangling a Secret Service agent who I know very well. I grabbed the steering wheel of a car. Said that I wanted guns at my rally. I didn’t want guns. I have to speak too, and I didn’t want guns for anybody.

Taking his cue from the Trump-fluffing, right-wing media, Trump focused on a brief part of Hutchinson’s testimony that was actually her representation of what she was told by someone else. The only report of it being disputed was via an anonymous source who wasn’t there either. Virtually everything else she said was first-hand and corroborated. And in regards to his willingness to allow guns into his rally and the subsequent riots at the Capitol, Trump himself was the source. He told the crowd at his speech that he wanted the Secret Service to remove the magnetometers that scan for weapons so that his audience would be bigger.

Moving on, Trump said that Hutchinson was “living in fantasyland,” and is “social climber.” He complained that “it’s shame that this is happening to our country,” and that there weren’t any Republicans to dispute the testimony. Although he immediately acknowledge two of them: Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney. But he dismissed them because Kinzinger has announced that he isn’t running for reelection, and Cheney is “down by 35 points.” As if that has anything to do with the substance of the hearings.

What Trump didn’t mention is that it was GOP minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and the Republicans who opposed the creation of an independent, non-partisan commission to conduct the investigation. And he has no standing to complain about representation considering that he ordered his supporters (i.e. flunkies) not to cooperate with the Committee. And there is nothing stopping him from appearing before the Committee to tell his side of the story, except for his own cowardice and consciousness of guilt.

RELATED: Crybaby Trump Slams the January 6th Committee For Nixing His Witnesses – Who Refused to Testify

Trump also repeated the debunked lie that he offered 10,000 National Guard troops to protect Congress – from his supporters?. Then he segued to whining that the media didn’t report how big his crowd was and, of course, more ranting about how the election was “rigged” and “stolen” from him. For which he still hasn’t been able to provide a shred of evidence after more than a year and a half and sixty court cases.

During the interview, Trump also criticized Fox News. Finnerty specifically mentioned the moment when Bret Baier noted that Hutchinson’s testimony was “very compelling from beginning to end,” and “really, really powerful.” Trump replied saying that “Fox doesn’t put it [election fraud lies] on and, by the way, you people don’t put it on either. You’re afraid of being sued or something. [and you will] probably cut what I’m saying out.”

RELATED: Frightened Fox News Audience Tunes Out January 6th Hearings Even When They Air on Fox

Actually, Newsmax has already been sued, along with Fox News and others, for defamation by two voting systems companies: Dominion and Smartmatic. The only thing puzzling about this is why Trump isn’t a defendant in those lawsuits. However, Finnerty assured Trump that his lies would be included when the interview aired, along with his attack on Fox News.

It is obviously in the interest of Newsmax to disparage Fox, the network that Newsmax host Greg Kelly recently called “fake news.” Which is a deliciously ironic turn of events. As is Trump accusing Newsmax to its face of planning to alter the interview. It just affirms that Trump is solely obsessed with how he is presented, even when he’s whining on friendly forums like Newsmax.

Frightened Fox News Audience Tunes Out January 6th Hearings Even When They Air on Fox

The House Select Committee investigating the January 6th insurrection incited by Donald Trump has been providing increasingly incriminating evidence of Trump’s criminal culpability and that of his disreputable underlings. The latest hearing featuring Mark Meadows aide, Cassidy Hutchinson, may be the most devastating yet for the seditionist cabal.

Fox News Sad

Hutchinson’s testimony included bombshell revelations about Trump’s fore knowledge and approval of the potential for violence at his Capitol rally. She disclosed Trump’s seething anger that erupted into food flinging tantrums. She told the Committee that White House lawyers were worried about criminal charges and that several members of Congress had sought pardons from Trump.

RELATED: Trump is Freaking Out that the January 6th Hearings are So Effectively Illuminating His Crimes

Needless to say, this is not the sort of testimony that is welcomed on Fox News. In fact, it is usually either ignored or framed with knee-jerk rebuttals in order to intercept any potentially honest presentations from infecting their brainwashed viewers. However, it appears that Fox need not be so concerned about that happening, because their viewers are self-censoring the network. According to the Huffington Post

“Fox News Channel is airing the Jan. 6 committee hearings when they occur in daytime hours and a striking number of the network’s viewers have made clear they’d rather be doing something else. During two daytime hearings last week, Fox averaged 727,000 viewers, the Nielsen company said. That compares to the 3.09 million who watched the hearings on MSNBC and the 2.21 million tuned in to CNN.” […]

“Last Thursday, Fox had 1.33 million viewers for the 2 p.m. Eastern hour before the hearing started […] After the hearing started, Fox’s audience’s sank to 747,000.”

Following the hearings last Thursday, Fox’s ratings shot back up to 2.76 million for an episode of “The Five.” What this tells us is that Fox’s audience is so afraid of being exposed to any information that challenges their pre-programmed biases, that they will even tune out Fox News – the source of their pre-programmed biases. Then they file back in when Trump-fluffers like Sean Hannity resume their lying propaganda.

As a result of this “canceling” of candid accounts of events, as told mostly by Republican witnesses and Trump staffers, Fox fans effectively shield themselves from a reality that they are too fragile to deal with. They even missed Fox Newsers like anchor Bret Baier saying that…

“This testimony was very compelling from beginning to end. [Hutchinson] obviously had access to all of the players.” […]

“[Trump] says she’s lying. Cassidy Hutchinson is under oath, on Capitol Hill. The [former] president is on Truth Social.”

Baier added that he would have liked to hear some pushback from Republicans like Jim Jordan, but that “the testimony in and of itself was really, really powerful.” That commentary was followed by an embarrassingly long moment of dead air. What Baier doesn’t say is that the absence of Republicans is due to them boycotting the hearings and to Trump ordering his flunkies to refuse to testify.

RELATED: Crybaby Trump Slams the January 6th Committee For Nixing His Witnesses – Who Refused to Testify

Consequently, Trump’s glassy-eyed disciples will remain blissfully ignorant of the facts regarding the January 6th insurrection, just as they are about the economy, the border, COVID, Ukraine, gun reform, reproductive health, and of course, election “fraud.”

Ignorance is, in fact, their natural, preferred state of being. And they prove it by deliberately avoiding any news that contradicts their preconceptions and their Dear Leader Trump. Even the relentlessly Trump-friendly Fox News.

UPDATE: On Tuesday, the ratings showed that Fox News still trends down during the hearings, with MSNBC beating Fox while the hearings were in progress. More proof that Fox News viewers remain too feeble to face reality.
