The Best Reasons to Never Vote for a Republican – By Joe Biden, Matt Gaetz, and Marjorie Taylor Green

Not so long ago, the Republican Party had members who could be perceived as patriotic and willing to join Democrats in order to advance the interests of the American people. It wasn’t always an easy alliance, but it was one that produced incremental progress in an environment of cooperation. That was all BT (Before Trump).

Joe Biden, Donald Trump

In the era of Trump the GOP has devolved into a cult that worships their Dear Leader above all else. Legislation, policy, commitment to the needs of the people, and even respect for the law, have all been scrapped in favor of fawning sheepishly over an ignoramous with aspirations of authoritarian tyranny. In today’s Republican Party you either suck up to Trump or get cast out as a lying “RINO” who never had what it takes.

RELATED: Trump Attacks GOP Senate Candidate in Colorado for Not Sufficiently Sucking Up to Dear Leader

The putrefaction of a once potent political party hasn’t gone unnoticed by the American people. And that includes President Biden, who posted a merciless meme that featured the GOP’s rising scars articulating their atrocious agenda for the future should they regain power. It begins appropriately with Trump spawn Eric declaring ominously that the GOP “is no longer the Republican Party. It’s the Trump Party”

It isn’t surprising that Republicans are the best messengers for their dystopian perspective of what a GOP future would look like. They aren’t the least bit shy about articulating just how abominable they are. A Fox News host recently criticized the sentence Steve Bannon received as “tyranny and total bullshit.” Then immediately insisted that it was what Republicans needed to do. She was affirmatively advocating the “tyranny and bullshit” agenda.

SEE: Fox News on Steve Bannon Sentence: It’s Tyranny and Total BS – And We Need to Do It

Another honest spokesperson for the vileness of the GOP is Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. On Friday she appeared on a Trumpian video pod to layout what she regarded as the GOP’s plan if they manage to get a majority in the House. She said that…

“We are going to be leading a revolution in Congress. And that is to put a referendum on the Democrat Party. A referendum through investigation and accountability. Joe Biden and his family will be a top target. And so will the CDC, the FBI, the Department of Justice, Department of Education, Homeland Security, and many other federal government entities that have abused power and done so much damage to our country. And it’s time to start, starting in January of 2023.”

So Greene’s priorities are to engage in endless investigations and persecutions of Biden, his family, and other Democrats, based on nothing but her QAnon/Wingnut hallucinations. There was nothing in that rant that was remotely associated with any of the priorities of the American people. And Greene isn’t just a House backbencher. She is a member that GOP minority leader, Kevin McCarthy, has said would have a place in leadership. What’s more, Greene has speculated about herself becoming the GOP leader, and how she would rule.

RELATED: Fascista Marjorie Taylor Greene: If I was Speaker of the House I Would Reign with an Iron Fist

These Trumpy Republicans are currently in the ascendance in the party. And we can rest assured that they mean what they say. And for that reason we need to make sure that voters are aware of what the GOP has in store. They are literally aiming to cause palpable harm to the nation. And they aren’t afraid to say so. Which makes them the best spokespersons for why people must vote for Democrats up and down the ballot this November 8.

Fox News on Steve Bannon Sentence: It’s Tyranny and Total BS – And We Need to Do It

Three months ago Steve Bannon, the former campaign chairman for Donald Trump, was found guilty on two counts of contempt of Congress. And on Friday he was sentenced to serve four months in prison and pay a $6,500.00 fine. This is just the beginning of Bannon’s legal burdens, but it’s a start.

Click here to Tweet this article

Shortly after the sentence was announced, the usual suspects from Trump’s Cult Defense Brigade commenced their whining and whitewashing on Bannon’s behalf. There was an outpouring of solidarity for a man who was previously convicted of defrauding Trump’s own supporters with a phony fund to build a border wall. Bannon was pardoned by Trump for that conviction. But he is still facing legal peril as a co-conspirator in a plot to overthrow the United States government.

RELATED: Trump Aide Confesses Coup Plot with Bannon, Cruz, and 100 Congressional Co-Conspirators

Bannon has already promised to appeal the conviction on grounds that he was only following his lawyer’s advice. That’s a bizarre argument that seeks to excuse any criminal behavior if your lawyer suggests it. First of all, the client is responsible for accepting or rejecting the advice of an attorney. Secondly, if an attorney advises a client to break the law, that attorney’s license should be revoked.

Bannon’s appeal is unlikely to succeed and he will eventually be incarcerated. However, he won’t be alone – at least in spirit. Many loyal StormTrumpers are pledging to “Stand With Steve Bannon!” First and foremost is Lisa Boothe of Fox News who said that…

“I stand with Steve Bannon. This isn’t justice. It’s tyranny and total bullshit. We need to do this to Democrats when we regain power.”

Really? So what we have here is a Fox News host and political contributor asserting that Bannon’s sentence is just the sort of “tyranny and total bullshit” that Republicans should engage if they manage to achieve a majority in Congress next month. Good to know. Although that has been the clear objective of the GOP for decades, it is rarely admitted so openly. And the same sentiment is being proudly expressed by many other disciples of Trumpism…

Make no mistake about it, Republicans are steadfastly pro-tyranny and anti-democracy. They refuse to accept any electoral outcome wherein they are the losers. They are actively striving to steal future elections via gerrymandering, phony electors, suppressing voter access, and gaining control over vote counting operations.

What’s more, they have explicitly stated that they will purposefully cause great harm to the nation in order to get their way. Which makes it all the more imperative that Democrats show up on or before November 8 to cast their ballots for preserving American democracy. Because that’s what is at stake.

Trump Attacks Judge for Ordering Release of Emails that Show He Conspired to Defraud the U.S.

The evidence that Donald Trump is leading a crusade to subvert democracy and impose himself as America’s first fascist dictator keeps being revealed in court proceedings. The latest example came in the findings of a federal judge in California who is presiding over the trial of former Trump attorney, John Eastman.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump

Judge David Carter was presented with a tranche of emails that Eastman sought to suppress. However, Carter ruled that several of the emails showed that Trump knew that the voter fraud claims he was making were lies. Consequently, Carter ordered Eastman to turn over the emails, making them available to the congressional January 6th Committee that is investigating the insurrection in Washington, D.C. that Trump incited:

“‘The emails show that President Trump knew that the specific numbers of voter fraud were wrong but continued to tout those numbers, both in court and to the public,’ Judge David O. Carter wrote. ‘The Court finds that these emails are sufficiently related to and in furtherance of a conspiracy to defraud the United States,’ he added.”

RELATED: WTF? Now Trump Says the FBI Was Looking for Hillary Clinton’s Emails at Mar-a-Lago

Predictably, this ruling triggered Trump who took to his floundering social media scam, Truth Social, to post another whining complaint asking

“Who’s this Clinton appointed ‘Judge,’ David Carter, who keeps saying, and sending to all, very nasty, wrong, and ill informed statements about me on rulings, or a case (whatever!), currently going on in California, that I know nothing about – nor am I represented. With that being said, please explain to this partisan hack that the Presidential Election of 2020 was Rigged and Stolen. Also, he shouldn’t be making statements about me until he understands the facts, which he doesn’t!”

Notice that nowhere in that pathetic babbling does Trump cite a single fact that refutes the findings by Judge Carter. Trump is simply doing what he always does – yammering like a colicky infant who isn’t getting his way. What’s more, his criticism that Judge Carter is saying and/or sending “very nasty, wrong, and ill informed statements” isn’t accurate. Carter is merely making Trump’s own statements in his emails available.

Trump admits in his harangue that he “knows nothing about” the Eastman case. Which is interesting considering that the case has been pending for nearly a year, that Eastman was his lawyer, and that the case directly references Trump’s criminal behavior. If he really doesn’t know anything about it, that can only be because he’s astonishingly ignorant and divorced from reality. Although, to be fair, he has had quite a lot of sleazeball lawyers to keep track of.

RELATED: UH-OH: Trump’s New $3 Million Lawyer Has Been Sidelined Less than a Month After He Was Hired

Trump also complains that he isn’t represented at this trial, which isn’t surprising since he isn’t a defendant in the case. However, he does append his tedious carping about the 2020 presidential election being “Rigged and Stolen” from him. That’s a charge that Trump has had more than two years to validate, yet has never provided a shred of evidence despite filing – and losing – more than 60 court cases.

The emails that Judge Carter is making public add to the volumes of proof that Trump sought to illegally overturn an American election and undermine faith in the democratic process. They show that Trump is guilty of both defrauding the U.S. and perjury. And we can expect him to continue to chisel away at democracy until he is stopped by the indictments and prosecutions he so richly deserves. And the sooner the better. Our country is teetering on the precipice of failure.

Trump Attacks GOP Senate Candidate in Colorado for Not Sufficiently Sucking Up to Dear Leader

If anyone still isn’t convinced that the MAGA movement led by Donald Trump is a cult, Trump himself has just provided more proof of the theological underpinnings of his pseudo-church. He continues to demonstrate that fealty to the MAGA messiah is more important than any political goal that conventional political parties pursue.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump, Fox News, QAnon

Commenting on his floundering social media scam, Truth Social, Trump lashed out at the Republican candidate for U.S. in Colorado, Joe O’Dea. With the upcoming midterm elections running extremely close, and control of Congress at stake, most campaign strategists would seek to improve their odds of winning every race. But for Trump that is not as important as securing unflinching support and adoration for himself. He wrote that…

“There’s this RINO character in the Great State of Colorado, Joe O’Dea, that is running against the incumbent Democrat for the United States Senate, who is having a good old time saying that he wants to ‘distance’ himself from President Trump, and other slightly nasty things. He should look at the Economy, Inflation, Energy Independence, defeating ISIS, the Strongest EVER Border, Great Trade Deals, & much more, before he speaks. MAGA doesn’t Vote for stupid people with big mouths. Good luck Joe!”

Notice that Trump regards “distancing” from him as “nasty.” And his definition of RINO is, as usual, anyone who doesn’t bow down low enough to satisfy Dear Leader. O’Dea’s offence was to state that he didn’t want to see Trump run again in 2024. And that was all that Trump needed to hear to scuttle his campaign and, potentially, lose the opportunity to win a Republican majority in the Senate.

Trump is too egomaniacal to grasp the nuances of politics. So he demands unfaltering loyalty above all else. Even when that would damage a candidate’s prospects in a state that leans toward Democrats. The Democratic incumbent, Michael Bennett, currently has an eight point lead in the polls. For contrast, President Biden is smart enough to know that he should only campaign on behalf of Democrats in states where his help would be beneficial and welcome.

How Trump thinks it would be be helpful to insult the Republican candidate is a mystery. Other than to simply recognize that Trump himself is too stupid to understand how the game is played. He says that “MAGA doesn’t Vote for stupid people with big mouths.” But if that were true than they surely wouldn’t vote for Trump or any of the mini-Trump’s he’s endorsed.

Democrats, on the other hand, will appreciate Trump bashing his own party’s candidate, which should give a boost to Sen. Bennett, and to the Democrats’ chances of retaining a majority in the Senate. In fact, much of Trump’s asinine behavior is measurably more beneficial to Democrats than it is to Republicans. And he will surely expect us to thank him for it later.

Supreme Court Rejects MyPillow Huckster Mike Lindell’s Motion to Dismiss Defamation Lawsuit

The apostles of Donald Trump and his “Big Lie” that the 2020 presidential election was “rigged and stolen” from him are continuing to fail in their relentless and preposterous campaign to undermine democracy on behalf of Dear Leader Trump.

Donald Trump, Mike Lindell, MyPillow

Among the most prominent of the Trump cult disciples is the notorious MyPillow pitchman, Mike Lindell. For the past two years Lindell has been peddling Trump’s crackpot contention that there was so much voter fraud that the election results should be disregarded and Trump restored to power. Never mind that there hasn’t been a shred of evidence provided to support their conspiracy theories. And Lindell has been implicated in federal crimes related to his fraud mongering.

RELATED: Fox News and Trump FREAK OUT Over the FBI Seizing MyPillow Guy Mike Lindell’s Phone

As result of their bogus claims, Dominion Voting Systems filed a billion dollar lawsuit for defamation against Fox News and others, including Newsmax, One America News Network (OAN), Rudy Giuliani, and Lindell. Last year an appeals court refused Lindell’s motion for dismissal. He subsequently appealed to the Supreme Court. And now that court has also rejected him

“The Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear an appeal from a prominent supporter of former President Donald Trump who is trying to fend off a defamation suit from a voting company he falsely accused of rigging the 2020 election.

“Michael Lindell, the founder of MyPillow and a regular presence at Trump’s rallies, is fighting a $1.3 billion defamation suit filed in federal court by US Dominion, the company that manufacturers voting machines used in several battleground states. Lindell’s effort was denied by a Trump-appointed U.S. District judge last year.”

This ruling by the Supreme Court affirms that Dominion’s charges of defamation are viable and that it can reasonably be construed that Lindell knew that what he was saying was false, or that he should have known.

This comes on the heels of another Lindell court loss wherein he filed his own defamation suit against Dominion and another company that made voting software, Smartmatic. That lawsuit was also thrown out, but not before Lindell bragged that it would be so successful that the Supreme Court would eventually rule in his favor 9-0, and would overturn the election and reinstate Trump. No, really…

“We’re gonna bring it to the Supreme Court. It’s gonna be 9-0. They’re gonna take this election down. And yes, Donald Trump will be your president. He is the president now.”

None of this should surprise anyone who has followed Lindell’s antics. He has been promising to expose the massive fraud and corruption of the American democratic system for two years. He has held symposiums where he guaranteed that irrefutable evidence would be presented. He produced a crocumentary that he called “Absolute Proof” that had nothing in it that was either absolute or proof. In fact, it was so lacking in credibility that when it was aired on OAN, they preceded it with a disclaimer that essentially disavowed it entirely.

RELATED: Watch the Hysterical Disclaimer For the MyPillow Guy’s ‘Absolute Proof’ Doc on OAN

So now Lindell has lost the ultra-rightist, Trump-fluffing OAN, and the Trump-dominated Supreme Court. Which can only mean that he will shortly be announcing that the REAL proof is going to be released in two weeks by the reanimated JFK, Jr and a committee comprised of Keebler elves. Stay tuned.

Fascista Marjorie Taylor Greene: If I was Speaker of the House I Would Reign with an Iron Fist

One of the benefits of having political opposition as fanatical and stuporous as Donald Trump’s Republican Party is that they so often say out loud, and in public, exactly what atrocities they intend to commit and how they would govern if given the power. Not that it makes their intentions any less abhorrent, but at least we know what’s on their minds.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, QAnon

On Saturday Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene ventured to Michigan to be part of the opening act for yet another Trump cult rally. In her remarks she candidly revealed just what sort of “leadership” she would provide if she were get a political promotion. And it was precisely what you would expect from a demagogue who seeks to force her political and religious beliefs done the throats of the nation.

RELATED: Rachel Maddow Unmasks the Virulent Racism of Marjorie Taylor Green and Christian Nationalism

Greene was greeted with the adoration of a messianic apostle. The crowd recognized her closeness to Trump and his cult hierarchy. So they cheered her when she said that…

“I am not going to mince words with you all. Democrats want Republicans dead and they have already started the killings.”

This is the sort of rhetoric that is intended to incite violence. You don’t tell a frothing throng of devotees that there are people who are bent on murdering you – and have already begun the slaughter – without the knowledge that it will provoke them into what they might consider self defense. Greene actually wants these people to assault any Democrats they may happen to encounter, because if they don’t the Democrat will slay them where they stand. It’s sick, dangerously reckless, and characteristic of tyrannical wannabes.

Greene’s lust for power greatly exceeds her ability to understand what legal constraints come with it, or what moral standards are necessary to exercise it responsibly. For Greene, and her GOP comrades, just acquiring power is the goal, and deploying it to suppress her foes is its only purpose. Which explains her comments on the podcast of crusading conservative Charlie Kirk, where she said that…

“If I was Speaker of the House … I would reign with an iron fist. And I would end everything that [Democrats] have been doing.”

Good to know. So along with fomenting violence, Greene would dispense with democracy. She would strongarm her congressional colleagues. She would “reign” supreme in the “People’s House.” Her “iron fist” control of the lower chamber of Congress would be her fiefdom.

Republicans have admitted that they don’t respect the democratic process. They refuse to accept any election results where they are not the winners. And we know this because they say so. Greene was helpful enough to let everyone know what her intentions are should she and her party take the majority in the upcoming midterm elections. Now it is up to the rest of the freedom and democracy loving American people to make sure that doesn’t happen.

Tucker Carlson Dumps All Over the GOP ‘Commitment to America’ – ‘There’s Nothing Real In It’

Just like Leap Year, Tucker Carlson of Fox News says something that is marginally coherent once every four years or so. Although when he does it is usually spiked with some ulterior political motive or the result of an accidental slip into the realm of reality. More often than not Carlson is steadfastly fixated on his white supremacist, pro-authoritarian points of view.

Click here to Tweet this article

Fox News, Tucker Carlson

On Monday Carlson diverged from his customary knee-jerk, Trump-fluffing screed to shower some pretty harsh criticism on the Republican Party he ordinarily props up. The tongue lashing delivered by Tuckums concerned the recently released “Commitment to America” – the GOP House minority leader Kevin McCarthy’s hastily cobbled together policy statement that he intended to boost the Republican’s waning prospects for the midterm election. Releasing this pitifully shallow rehash of the 1994 Newt Gingrich “Contract with America” just six weeks before the election was a clear act of desperation on McCarthy’s part.

RELATED: REALLY? Tucker Carlson Accuses Kevin McCarthy of Being ‘a Puppet of the Democratic Party’

McCarthy’s “commitment” included such vague banalities as creating “an economy that’s strong,” “a nation that’s safe,” “a future that’s built on freedom” and “a government that’s accountable.” Those goals, however, are diametrically opposed to what Republicans have done in practice. Particularly their record on producing weak economies and foregoing accountability for their lawless leaders (e.g. Donald Trump). Carlson appears to agree. He raged at Republicans saying that…

“House Republicans just spelled out what they’re running on. It’s a document called the ‘Commitment to America.’ It’s fine. Probably not much in it you disagree with. Have you heard of it? No. You probably haven’t. You probably haven’t read it. Nobody really cares. Why? Because there’s nothing real in it.

“There’s not a single word in that document about the attacks on the American family that you see every day. That’s at the center of most people’s concerns. How are my kids? Will they have a life that resembles mine? That was called the American Dream. Does it still exist? Will they be able to afford to live the way they grew up? Will they have the opportunities that we had? No! People are upset about that. Why wouldn’t they be? But nobody says it.”

So Carlson is worried about whether the GOP plan will permit his children to enjoy the elitist life of leisure that he was born into. He can’t grasp that his questions make no sense to a low-income family that isn’t especially anxious for their kids to have a life that resembles theirs.

The crux of Carlson’s opposition to McCarthy’s folly is that it doesn’t restore the kind of America that Carlson hankers for. It’s an America that looks backwards to the one his parents lived in. Which is one where women and minorities were still second-class citizens who weren’t threatening the rightful superiority of his racial and social stratum. And he’s likewise worried that McCarthy’s plan doesn’t openly embrace the autocratic principles of his heroes, such as Vladimir Putin and Viktor Orbán.

SEE: Tucker Carlson of Fox News Rattles Off His Ridiculous Reasons for Why You Shouldn’t Hate Putin and Fox News Fascinista, Tucker Carlson, Cozies Up to Hungary’s Authoritarian PM Orbán

Another reason that Carlson might be averse to the McCarthy Doctrine is that he has an agenda that is more focused on political vengeance. He would rather see the GOP go after President Biden and the Democrats than to bother with the mechanics of governing. Which would put him in alignment with GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz who has explicitly adopted the revenge platform. “If we don’t engage in impeachment inquiries,” Gaetz rants, “our voters will feel betrayed “ So Gaetz concludes that “it should be investigations first, policy … as a far, far diminished priority.”

That also happens to be the overtly revenge-centered agenda of Donald Trump. At least when he isn’t whining about having lost the 2020 presidential election. The Trump Cult is laser focused on the issues that matter most to the cult devotees: Hunter Biden, COVID mandates, immigrants, Hillary Clinton’s emails, and Joe Biden’s opposition to right-wing fascists. And if that’s their closing argument for the 2022 midterms, election day can’t come soon enough for Democrats.

Trump Super PAC Raised a Paltry $40.00 in August – That’s Right, Four-Zero Dollars

Is it possible that the Trump Train is running out of gas? The only thing that Donald Trump has demonstrated any proficiency with in his political career is fleecing his flock of glassy-eyed disciples. From his scam charities to his political grifting operations, Trump has managed in the past to fill his pockets with money taken from his gullible supporters.

Click here to Tweet this article

Trump Baby on Cash Pile

In the past few years, Trump’s take has exceeded hundreds of millions of dollars. For the most part he has spent it on himself, especially his legal fees. In this midterm election year, Trump has doled out a pittance to the Republican candidates he has endorsed. That’s in spite of the fact that his fundraising appeals explicitly claimed he would use the money for an “Official Election Defense Fund,” that doesn’t actually exist.

RELATED: Trump’s ‘Big Ripoff’ is Also Revealed in the January 6th Committee’s Probe of His ‘Big Lie’

Now the Financial Times is reporting that a Trump Super PAC is struggling to raise funds that wouldn’t cover his lunch…

“Fundraising for one of Donald Trump’s biggest political action committees has slowed dramatically in recent months, according to new election filings, in an early sign that the former president’s escalating legal troubles may be damaging his prospects with donors.

“The Make America Great Again, Again! super Pac, which is the only active super Pac affiliated with Trump, raised just $40 in August, after bringing in $351,000 in July and zero in June. In April and May, the group had raised more than double that amount, with $864,000 in total contributions.”

This is a pathetic haul for what Trump likes to characterize as “the greatest political movement of all time.” That appears to be more of the hyperbole (aka lies) that got him in trouble with the New York Attorney General. Apparently inciting a violent insurrection, committing bank and tax fraud, and being caught with stolen classified documents isn’t particularly helpful to Trump’s campaign prospects.

As election day nears, Democratic congressional fundraising committees have significantly outraised Republicans. Meanwhile, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spent far less than the GOP, and is currently favored to hold their majority and even pick up seats. On the House side, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has spent much more than the GOP and is getting closer to preserving their majority there than analysts thought possible a few weeks ago.

Through all of this, Trump is still hoarding about $100 million dollars in his Save America PAC. The only notable spending from that has been on his attorneys fees. Which may be why a few Trump minions have started a new MAGA, Inc Super PAC that they say will provide millions of dollars to Republican candidates. With only six weeks left before election day, it may be a little late to start from scratch to launch an effective funding operation.

More likely, this new PAC is preparing for either a Trump presidential campaign in 2024, or it’s fresh bait for more fraudulent filling of Trump’s private coffers. But if its success in raising money is anything like the PACs currently working on his behalf, he may never make it past 2023.

WHUT? On Fox News RNC Chair Cites GOP Scare Tactics as Proof that Democrats are Scaring People

With the 2022 midterm election now less than two months away, the Republican Party is piling on the lies, pseudo-scandals, personal insults, and fear mongering. The projections for control of the House and Senate have been trending toward the Democrats ever since the Supreme Court’s Dobb’s decision that effectively reversed Roe vs Wade. Plus, Democrats have had numerous legislative achievements in the past few months.

Consequently, the GOP, and their Ministry of Propaganda (aka Fox News) have been reprising their customary campaign of contrivances such as caravans of immigrants, rampant crime, and economic apocalypse. It’s their predictable, knee jerk response whenever an election is nearing and their prospects are dimming.

RELATED: Dear Leader Trump Brags that His MAGA Cult is Beating the Failing Republican Party

On Fox News Monday morning, host Dana Perino interviewed the chair of the Republican National Committee, Ronna McDaniel. Perino led into her question with a video clip of former President Bill Clinton commenting accurately on how Republicans use fear to motivate their base. Which led to a rather bizarre exchange between Perino and McDaniel…

Clinton (video): The Republicans always close well. Why? Because they find some new way to scare the living daylights out of swing voters about something. That’s what they did in 2021 when they made critical race theory sound worse than smallpox.
Perino: The Democrats have been trying to scare people as well.
McDaniel: News flash, Bill. Your party’s doing that just fine. We don’t need to help you with that as well. You’re scaring voters everywhere. With open borders. I mean, just last month 2,000 pounds of fentanyl came across our border. That could kill 500,000,000 people. We’re coming into Halloween. Every mom in the country right now is worried. What if this gets into my kid’s Halloween basket? The rainbow fentanyl.

The first notable observation in that segment is that neither Perino nor McDaniel disputed what Clinton said. That might be because it’s indisputably true. However they did attempt to “whatabout” his remarks in a peculiar way. The examples that McDaniel gave of Democratic fear mongering were actually the long established scare tactics of the Republican Party. It isn’t Democrats who use open borders and drug smuggling to frighten voters. That’s the GOP. So McDaniel was just inadvertently affirming Clinton’s political analysis. In fact, she was engaging in it.

What’s more, while missing her target by a mile, McDaniel also managed to make a mess of whatever she was trying say. First of all, she complained that thousands of pounds of fentanyl were confiscated at the border last month. That is actually evidence of how well the Biden administration is policing the border and preventing illegal drug smuggling. Secondly, McDaniel claimed that the fentanyl seized could have killed 500,000,000 million people. Which is about 200,000,000 more people than there are in the U.S.

Perhaps the most preposterous of her comments was the utterly baseless suggestion that “Every mom in the country right now is worried” that their kids will be getting fentanyl treats for Halloween. Does she have any proof that even a handful of moms are worried about that, much less all of them? And what makes her think that drug dealers are plotting to give their products away for free in order to commit the mass poisoning of America’s children?

RELATED: Al Franken Shows How to Make Republican Hacks Squirm By Using this One Little Trick – Truth!

If this is the high point of the Republican’s political gamesmanship, Democrats have even less to worry about come November than previously thought. However, given the intellectual capacity of the average GOP voter, there is still a risk that they could turn out and make some gains. So Democrats can’t relax or take anything for granted. Democracy itself is riding on these midterms. And Republicans are still pouring on the craziness that exemplifies their party today…

And let’s not forget the Fear Monger in Chief for the Republican Party, Donald Trump…

Fox News Publishes Brutal NY Times Story that a GOP House ‘Could Plunge US and World Into Chaos’

In recent weeks Donald Trump has been sinking ever farther into the quicksand of his inbred criminality. The Department of Justice is investigating his theft of highly sensitive national security materials and hoarding them at his Mar-a-Lago bunker. A federal grand jury is probing his phony “Save America” PAC. A Georgia prosecutor is close to indicting him for election interference. And these don’t even include his real estate and tax fraud matters.

Donald Trump, Republican, GOP

As the shroud of corruption envelopes him, some of Trump’s associates and accomplices may be getting antsy about continuing to stand behind him for fear they won’t see the oncoming bus. They have been testing the waters to see if they can safely distance themselves from what is becoming increasingly obvious is a crumbling foundation of flagrant felonies. And among the nervous nellies are some of the folks at Trump’s Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News.

On Friday the Fox News website published an article that was mostly a re-post of an in-depth analysis of the Republican Party’s descent into Trumpian madness. The NY Times article profiled a handful of GOP House candidates who have consumed copious quantities of Trump’s Kool-Aid. And the conclusion was that these Ultra-MAGA extremists threatened to “plunge the U.S. and the world into ‘chaos.'” Fox’s re-post of the article said that…

“In his report, published Thursday, [New York Times congressional correspondent Jonathan] Weisman claimed that the potential influx of new GOP lawmakers that have ‘fringe positions’ and who have ‘espoused conspiracy theories’ could hamper the government in its ability to do everyday tasks. The piece went so far as to say that these future right-wing politicians could plunge the country and the world at large into ‘chaos.'”

And that…

“It could also mean that the government will struggle to perform such mundane tasks as keeping itself from defaulting on its debt and plunging the global financial system into chaos.” […] “At the same time, a Republican-led stream of impeachments, as some lawmakers have promised for the attorney general, the homeland security secretary, the education secretary and the president, could serve as an endless string of distractions for the executive branch.”

Indeed, a Republican majority in the House would implement a preposterous agenda that consisted mainly of exacting revenge on the Democrats who they believe offended Dear Leader Trump. And we know this not by speculation, but by the public promises of Republicans hoping to gain majority control, such as Jim Jordan and Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has already filed articles of impeachment against President Biden.

Republicans have also promised committee hearings into long ago debunked non-scandals involving Hillary Clinton, Merrick Garland, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Hunter Biden, and more. Trump has even said that he wants the FBI to search Joe Biden’s house – aka the White House – for evidence of some unidentified, and surely imaginary, crime.

It is on the basis of these promises that Republicans are asking Americans to vote for them in November. Forget about the sort of productive accomplishments that Democrats have achieved in the past two years – Infrastructure bill, American Rescue Act, Gun safety, healthcare, tax reform, climate change, etc. – Republicans are offering pure, unfiltered vengeance.

That’s what the GOP is promising the American people. It’s a platform of political payback on behalf of a wannabe authoritarian tyrant. And it’s what the Republicans swear they will devote their time to if given the opportunity. At least when they aren’t cutting taxes for corporations and the wealthy, and eliminating Social Security and Medicare.

What’s more, that’s what Trump thinks is a winning campaign strategy. However, based on this NY Times article that Fox re-posted, you have to wonder: Does Fox News think so?
