Trump Sinks Into an ALL-CAPS Psychotic Meltdown Over the Potential Criminal Referrals He Faces

On Sunday it was reported that the House Select Committee investigating the January 6th Insurrection that was incited by Donald Trump met to discuss the prospects of issuing criminal referrals to the Justice Department based on the evidence they accumulated during months of hearings and testimony from hundreds of witnesses, including many who were Republican Trump administration insiders.

While the Committee wasn’t releasing any particulars about the discussions, panel member Adam Schiff told CBS’s “Face the Nation” that “we are all certainly in agreement that there is evidence of criminality here.” Sources say that the most likely targets of the referrals, other than Trump, would be former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, coup-plotting lawyer John Eastman, former Assistant Attorney General Jeffrey Clark, and Rudy Giuliani.

The referrals would be largely symbolic as Attorney General Merrick Garland has already appointed a special counsel to probe Trump’s crimes related to the Capitol Hill riots, as well as the classified documents that he stole, hoarded, and lied to the FBI about, at his Mar-a-Lago hotel/home. His fear of Special Counsel Jack Smith was evident in his public rage over the appointment.

Upon learning of the potential criminal referrals, Trump posted a frantic rant on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, yowling about unrelated matters that only hold significance in his twisted and frightened mind. In that state of derangement, Trump blasted in all-caps…

“HOW CAN THE JANUARY 6TH UNSELECT COMMITTEE MAKE CRIMINAL REFERRALS WHEN THEY HAVE’NT SPOKEN ABOUT, OR STUDIED, THOSE THAT RIGGED THE 2020 ELECTION, THE TROOPS NOT BEING BROUGHT IN BY PELOSI, OR NOW, THE ELECTION FRAUD DETERMINATIVELY REVEALED BY TWITTER? THESE ARE THE REAL CRIMINALS!!!”

This is about as emotionally distressed a statement as any Trump has made since his legal tribulations have intensified. He is plainly suffering extreme anxiety over the probability of being indicted and prosecuted. Consequently he raises objections that have no basis whatsoever in reality.

Trump knows very well that what he childishly calls the “unselect committee” had no mandate to study his unfounded allegations that the 2020 election was “rigged.” His own studies into the subject produced nothing after two years and more than 60 court challenges. He also knows that there is no truth to his claim that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi declined an offer of troops to defend the Capitol – from his own supporters. And the fraud that he asserts was revealed by the recently released “Twitter Files” lies only in his imagination, and that of Elon Musk and other Trump cultists desperate to find proof that Trump was, as always, the victim of bias by a clandestine cabal of evildoers.

As if all of that weren’t enough, Trump posted another delirious comment that actually makes him look even more insane than ever. Joining Fox News and other outraged Republican gloomsayers, upset at President Biden for getting WNBA star Brittney Griner released from Russia, Trump raged that…

“I turned down a deal with Russia for a one on one swap of the so-called Merchant of Death for Paul Whelan. I wouldn’t have made the deal for a hundred people in exchange for someone that has killed untold numbers of people with his arms deals. I would have gotten Paul out, however, just as I did with a record number of other hostages. The deal for Griner is crazy and bad. The taking wouldn’t have even happened during my Administration, but if it did, I would have gotten her out , fast!’

First of all, the likelihood that any of that is true is somewhere between zero and one percent. However, if we were to amuse ourselves by pretending to believe it, then Trump is confessing to abandoning an American hostage incarcerated in Russia, and that he would do the same if it were a hundred Americans. What’s more, we would have to accept the notion that he declined that deal without ever mentioning it, or even uttering Whelan’s name during his occupation of the White House, or at any time thereafter, until the Griner release. [Update: Former Trump aide John Bolton says that Trump did turn down an offer to release Whelan. If true, then he did abandon an American in a Russian prison]

Despite his claim to having turned down a deal to free Whelan, Trump still insists that he “would have gotten Whelan out.” “Would have?” Well then, why didn’t he? He had two years to do so. He also asserts that Griner wouldn’t have been arrested if he were in office. But Whelan was arrested in 2018, when Trump was in office. And as for his bragging about not making deals to release dangerous people, he must have forgotten that he made a deal with the Taliban in Afghanistan to release 5,000 terrorists in connection to the U.S. withdrawal, for a three month cease fire that the Taliban didn’t adhere to.

Trump’s fear is thick enough to slice with a MAGA bumper sticker. He knows that he is guilty of crimes related to the January 6th insurrection, the classified documents theft, tax fraud, election interference, and obstruction of justice. That’s evident in the increasingly unhinged posts he continues to make, as well as his determined avoidance of telling his own story in public and under oath. That’s not the behavior of an innocent man.

Trump Admits He’s Guilty in a Fear-Drenched Rant Attacking the Special Counsel as a ‘Monster’

Another day, another barrage of frenzied rage pouring out of Donald Trump as he sinks ever further into the gloom and doom of his wretched existence. Life at Mar-a-Lago is obviously becoming an unbearably agonizing hell for the former reality TV game show host.

True to form, Trump is reacting to the legal peril of his own making by resorting to whining and childish name-calling. After initially lashing out at Special Counsel Jack Smith as a “Trump hater” (like the majority of Americans), Trump escalated his assault with attacks on Smith’s wife.

On Tuesday morning Trump went even further with his fury over at being held accountable for his many crimes. In a blitzkrieg of bitter posts on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, Trump yowled that he was the innocent victim of biased Justice Department led by a “monster” intent on persecuting him. Poor baby. It was a tedious rehash of every baseless gripe that Trump has babbled for the past several years. For instance…

“I’m supposed to get a fair shake from this person, who’s under tremendous pressure from his family, but he is actually worse than they are? Can Republicans, and fair-minded people, generally, allow this to happen? Jack Smith is nothing less than a hit man for Obama, his Attorney General Eric Holder, and Andrew Weissmann. Weaponization. Our Country is in big trouble, a real mess!”

And…

“When will you invade Bill and Hillary’s home in search of the 33,000 emails she deleted AFTER receiving a subpoena from the U.S. Congress? When will you invade the other Presidents’ homes in search of documents, which are voluminous, which they took with them, but not nearly so openly and transparently as I did?”

And…

“This fully weaponized monster, Jack Smith, shouldn’t be let anywhere near the political persecution of “President Donald J. Trump.” I did nothing wrong on January 6th, and nothing wrong with the Democrats’ fix on the Document Hoax, that is, unless the six previous Presidents did something wrong also….”

So Trump is afraid that he can’t get “a fair shake” because Smith’s family is putting “tremendous pressure” on him? But he is “actually worse than they are?” So then why would there be any pressure, unless they were pressuring him to be more lenient? Trump also dishes out his typically infantile insults saying that Smith is “a hit man for Obama,” and a “monster.” He whines that Smith “shouldn’t be let anywhere near the political persecution” of Trump. So who does he think should be let near the “persecution?”

Trump’s whining that he did nothing wrong is just more of his refusal to take responsibility for having incited an insurrection and having stolen highly sensitive national security documents and hoarding them at his Mar-a-Lago hotel/home, after lying to the FBI about having them. He repeats his ludicrous claims that other presidents have done the same thing, when in fact none of them did. The National Archives has affirmed that all such documents in the past were kept strictly under the control of the Archives.

Trump also complains that the FBI never searched the homes of prior presidents. That may be because there was never any reason to do so. However, in the process Trump explicitly confesses his own guilt. He admits that he took the documents “openly and transparently,” if by “openly and transparently” he means secretly and denying it afterward.

So once again, Trump is his own worst enemy. The more he opens his big mouth, the more evidence of his guilt he provides to prosecutors. So in the words of President Obama, “please proceed.”

Fox News Blames Jewish Philanthropists for Gun Violence in 2nd Amendment Sanctuary Cities

Last week anti-Semitism rose to the top of the news cycle after Donald Trump dined with Ye (aka Kanye West) and the infamous Holocaust denying, white nationalist, Nick Fuentes, at Mar-a-Lago. Trump claims that he doesn’t know who Fuentes is, but several days later he still hasn’t renounced the repulsive bigotry of Fuentes and Ye.

Trump is almost certainly lying when he says that he doesn’t know who Fuentes is. But if true it would be even worse. It would mean that the leading figure in the Republican Party is pitifully ignorant about the most prominent hate monger in America. Well, the most prominent other than Fox News hosts…

It didn’t take long for the seething prejudices of Trump and his dinner guests to surface again on Fox News. Monday morning’s episode of “Outnumbered” twisted a segment on crime into an attack on Jewish billionaires who donate money to politicians and initiatives that seek to reduce gun violence in America, a goal that is popular among the majority of Americans.

The discussion was triggered by comments that Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy made on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday. He noted that states with stronger gun laws have much less gun crime than the so-called “2nd Amendment sanctuary cities” that take pride in letting gun violence proliferate. Then he elaborated asking…

“Do we want to continue to supply funding to law enforcement in counties that refuse to implement state and federal gun laws? Red flag laws are wildly popular.”

Good question. Why should the federal government subsidize cities that refuse to enforce laws that are already on the books? Particularly when there is so much evidence that such laws are effective and that, when they are ignored, gun violence increases. However, that rational observation was lost on the hosts of Fox’s Outnumbered. They used the subject to launch into the following foul exchange…

Harris Faulkner: “I think about that George Soros cash that has poured in and how many people have been damaged and hurt in those neighborhoods where they need the most protection. Of course the soft-on-crime is not going to go away, those liberal DAs. He poured a ton of cash through his entities in there.”
Mercedes Schlapp: Soros, Bloomberg, I mean there’s such a large number of these leftist groups that focused on gun control.”

Once again, these hacks are impervious to the facts about gun violence and crime. But what’s worse is that they went out of their way to put all of the blame for the imaginary crime waves on Jewish philanthropists. That isn’t accidental.

Fox News is carrying out its mission to advance the putrid rhetoric of hate that is integral to the Republican agenda. They are brazenly insulting the good intentions and generosity of Jewish Americans who care about their country and its citizens. So it’s no wonder that they don’t bother to call out the anti-Semitism of Trump and his malicious Mar-a-Lago goon squad. They are too busy reinforcing it. Trump Viciously Attacks Judge for Assigning Monitor to Prevent His Continuing Criminal Acts

There is nothing that Donald Trump hates more than being held accountable for his notoriously bad behavior, whether personally immoral or publicly criminal. But despite his aversion to being punished for his wrongdoings, he persists in committing them and complains when there are well deserved consequences.

What set Trump off was that Judge Arthur Engoron, who is presiding over the civil suit filed by the New York Attorney General, Letitia James, ruled in favor of assigning an independent monitor to whom Trump would have to report in order to stop him from committing any further fraudulent business practices. Trump couldn’t suppress his seething anger at the judge, or at the thought of the law finding him liable. And it wasn’t the first time…

On Friday morning Trump demonstrated his hair-trigger hostility for the rule of law by posting a hysterical comment on his floundering social media scam, Truth Social. Trump whined that Judge Engoron is “A Radical Left Lunatic Judge” who is “dedicated largely to defaming me,” and “was appointed … by my worst political enemies.” And as is the case with everything that Trump criticizes, it is all “Rigged & Corrupt.”

First of all, Judge Engoron was elected, not appointed. But those pesky facts don’t deter Trump from his raging or pathetic sense of perpetual victimhood. He followed up that rant a few hours later writing that…

“The New York State Court System is being ridiculed all over the World! You have a Corrupt, Racist, Weak on Crime Attorney General, Letitia ‘Peekaboo’James, who campaigned on ‘I will get Trump, even though she knew NOTHING about me. Then you have a highly political, biased Judge, who is totally controlled by my worst enemies. His rulings and manner are SICK. He gave his quick hearing, & ridiculous decision, right before Midterms – A No No! He’s worse than Peekaboo, and a real ‘Trump Hater.'”

Once again, Trump has a uniquely perverse perspective of reality. Any ridicule being expressed around the world is almost entirely directed at Trump. And AG James knows enough about him to have accumulated abundant evidence of his crimes. Which is what is really gnawing at him.

Trump seems to think that there is some benefit to insulting the presiding judge as “SICK” and corrupt and biased. And Trump also mistakenly believes that it’s “a no no” to bring him up on state charges. He’s going to find out the hard way that none of that is true. There is a sound legal basis for the monitor, which was outlined in the ruling. As reported by CNN…

“A New York state judge on Thursday imposed a monitor to oversee the Trump Organization’s financial statements after the New York attorney general’s office asked for added oversight to stop what they allege is a decade-long fraud conducted by former President Donald Trump and three of his adult children.

“Judge Arthur Engoron wrote in an 11-page opinion that given the ‘persistent misrepresentations throughout every one of Mr. Trump’s [financial statements] between 2011 and 2021, the Court finds that the appointment of an independent monitor is the most prudent and narrowly tailored mechanism to ensure there is no further fraud or illegality.'”

In short, the monitor was put in place to prevent Trump from selling or transferring any assets, or undertaking any corporate restructuring, without prior notice and approval from the court. The necessity of this monitoring was made evident by Trump’s attempt to create a new entity – Trump Organization 2 – into which he could transfer his business assets to shield them from the $250 million lawsuit filed by the the New York Attorney General.

Trump’s wrath over this ruling is just his latest meltdown. When he was required to sit for a deposition in the case, he pleaded the Fifth Amendment more than 400 times. And he has already filed two lawsuits attempting to derail the legal cases against him. To date, that has been a fruitless effort driven by desperation. But then, that’s all he has left. And he knows it. Were he innocent he would be arguing for an acquittal rather than insulting the judge and the court.

Trump Files Another Lame Lawsuit Against the New York Attorney General Who He Hates and Fears

For most of Donald Trump’s public life he has been known as serially litigious. He uses the courts as a tool to intimidate and obstruct those with whom he has any disagreement whether legal, financial, political, or personal. For the most part it has only been effective when used against small businesses that he sought stiff. He has had much less success with it in the political realm.

However, that doesn’t mean Trump hasn’t seen some benefit from his lawsuit frenzies. They have served to delay accountability by abusing the system with multiple filings and appeals. Never mind that those efforts generally end in failure for Trump.

Despite his record of repudiation by the courts, Trump persists in filing his pathetic and futile lawsuits. The latest one was filed on Wednesday against Letitia James, the Attorney General of New York. James is suing Trump for fraud related to his shady real estate business. So naturally, Trump is trying to evade accountability again with a legal distraction that has no chance of success.

Trump announced the filing Wednesday on his floundering social media scam, Truth Social, buried within a barrage of 72 mostly nauseatingly narcissistic posts the same day. Trump wrote that…

“Today, I filed a lawsuit in Florida State Circuit Court against the corrupt Attorney General of New York State, Letitia “Peekaboo” James. New York State is one of the most crime-ridden places on earth with murders, robberies, drug deals, and every other form of crime setting records on a weekly basis.”

First of all, it is ridiculous to file a lawsuit in Florida against the Attorney General New York. But that’s just the beginning of Trump’s foolishness. He repeats his infantile nickname for James (“Peekaboo”) for which no one can figure out the meaning. And he chastises James for not eliminating all crime in New York, which isn’t her job. In New York local district attorneys have jurisdiction over those matters, not the state Attorney General. But Trump wasn’t through. He went on to whine about being subjected to the law, like every other citizen…

“[James] attacks great and upstanding businesses which have done nothing wrong, like the very successful, job and tax producing Trump Organization that I have painstakingly built over a long period of years. Crooked and highly partisan James now thinks it is the business of the State of New York to go after my revocable trust and pry into my private estate plan, only to look for ways to recklessly injure me, my family, my businesses, and my tens of millions of supporters.”

Setting aside the fact that the Trump Organization is neither successful, nor a job creator, Trump is dismissing the abundance of evidence proving that he and his family have actually done a great deal of wrong. And it’s cute that he tries to reflect his own criminal behavior on his not-nearly millions of cult supporters, who are not the targets of James’ lawsuit. And he still had more to say…

“If I were not elected President of the United States, and now leading in the polls by substantial margins against both Democrats and Republicans, this would not be happening.”

Trump may be partly right about this. Had he not elevated himself in the public eye, he might have slithered by with his crimes, as he had done for many years before he ran for office. But his massive, yet fragile, ego drove him to put himself in legal jeopardy, believing that he is untouchable.

For her part, AG James replied to Trump’s filing by noting that Trump’s prior lawsuits have been laughed out of court. And she reiterated her that position that the New York Attorney General will not be intimidated or dissuaded by Trump’s impotent bluster…

“Multiple judges have dismissed Donald Trump’s baseless attempts to evade justice, and no number of lawsuits will deter us from pursuing this fraud. We sued Donald Trump because he committed extensive financial fraud. That fact hasn’t changed, and neither will our resolve to ensure that no matter how powerful or political one might be, no one is above the law.”

This lawsuit by Trump follows other recent efforts to evade accountability. But those efforts reeked of desperation and fear. For instance, when Trump was forced to give a deposition, he pleaded the Fifth Amendment more than 400 times. And in another bonehead play, Trump lashed out at the judge presiding over his case. All of which reveals just how tortured Trump is by these proceedings. He know he’s guilty, and has no recourse but to throw his feeble temper tantrums. and so he does.

UPDATE: Trump has dropped this lawsuit in order to avoid more sanctions for frivolous filings.

SCARY: Trump Posts Infantile Mauling of Fox News for Daring to Interview a (GASP) Democrat

On this All Hallows Eve there are armies of ghouls and goblins wandering the streets of America searching for brains. You can recognize them by their red hats and confederate flags. And it’s abundantly clear why they are so fixated on finding brains: They have an acute deficiency of them in their own hollow skulls.

The leader of the zombie pack is their cult messiah Donald Trump. And on the day before Halloween he took to his floundering social media scam, Truth Social, to terrorize his already fearful glassy-eyed disciples. Amongst a barrage of dozens of posts exalting his own self-proclaimed divinity, Trump included one that was specifically crafted to foment the foreboding fright that he regularly injects into their tortured souls.

Trump’s complaint centered on his morbidly obsessive need to insure that everyone in politics and the press agree with his utterly ignorant and unrealistic views, or be chastised for their betrayal. So Trump whined…

“Why would Fox News have SleazeBall Congressman Al Green on to spew his stupidity? It’s time to get back to basics. Let him, and other Slime like him, continue to ruin MSDNC & CNN, which are dying. Keep them off Conservative Media, if that’s an accurate definition of what Fox has become?”

Uh-Oh. The sleaze and slime squads are swarming the TV screens of America with their dire debunking of Republican propaganda. That’s what Trump was so triggered by in his pseudo-tweet. Democratic Rep. Al Green was interviewed by Mike Emanuel on Fox News (video below) and had the audacity to reveal the truth about both the economy and the crime rates, two issues that top voters’ interests, and that have been exploited by the GOP. Green began by stating the facts about higher gas prices, a key factor inflation…

“Let’s talk about what has really created inflation. This inflation is caused by oil companies not wanting to increase refinery capacity. They don’t want to increase refining capacity because they are making huge profits by not doing so, […] the oil companies are making huge profits. Why would they want to bring prices down? That’s not an incentive. They want to keep prices high.”

Fox’s Emanuel had no response for that exposition of truth, so he just segued to a different topic: crime. And on this subject Green was equally prepared with the facts. He started out by noting that crime rates were higher in Republican Kevin McCarthy’s Bakersfield, California district than they were in Nancy Pelosi’s San Francisco district. Then he elaborated saying that…

“I think we ought to compare states as well as cities. My colleagues are very good at creating alternative facts. But the truth is, according to statistical information, in 2020 the per capita murder rates were 40% higher in states won by Donald Trump, than those won by Joe Biden. Empirical evidence. Eight of ten states with the highest murder rates in 2020 voted for the Republican presidential nominee in every election in this century.”

Clearly Democrats have been better stewards of the nation with regard to both crime and economics. And Fox News couldn’t even dispute those facts. But that didn’t stop Trump from throwing the sort of childish tantrum that has become his hallmark. And, of course, Fox helped Trump to distort the record that shows the superiority of the Democrats, who also favor democracy over the authoritarian tyranny that Trump and his minions are trying to impose.

Along with his comment whining about Green and Fox News, it’s notable that Trump posted 90 other comments since the assassination attempt intended for Pelosi, but still made no mention of the attack, nor any condemnation, nor any expression of sympathy. However, it may be better that Trump says nothing about that than risk making yet another stupid remark that reflects badly on his subservient Republican comrades.

UPDATE: Trump posted 18 more self-exalting, messianic comments including one with the QAnon slogan, WWG1WGA (where we go 1, we go all), and one that labels President Biden “PedoHitler.” He also raged some more about Fox News saying that…

“Fox News treats “TRUMP” every bit as badly as they did in 2015, before I later won the Election. Fox was brutal then, and not too good now. This lightweight failure in the Obama Administration, Fox News Contributer Marie Harf, is allowed to say anything she wants, without rebuttal – and others likewise. I beat Crooked Hillary Clinton, and then beat Biden by much more. Fox is afraid to say what REALLY happened in that farce of an Election – IT WAS RIGGED AND STOLLEN. Get tough Republicans!!!”

So Trump thinks that Fox News slobbering all over him, and airing all of his rallies in 2015 and 2016 uninterrupted, was bad treatment? And he’s still lying that he beat Biden? He lost the popular vote to both Clinton (by 3 million) and Biden (by 7 million). Trump was upset because of this segment with Harf on Fox News, where she was not only rebutted, but repeatedly interrupted. And if Republicans had any toughness they would help to prosecute and punish Trump. But they’re weak and scared and corrupt.

MAGA ‘Patriot’ Trump Says that America is ‘Crooked and Evil’ and its ‘Next Stop, Communism’

As the midterm election closes to within ten days, the rancid rhetoric on the right is becoming ever more reckless and slathered in the sort of incendiary bombast that magnifies the risk of violence multifold. Even with the horrific attempted murder of Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Republicans remain devoted to their strategy of provocation and demonization of their political foes.

Two days after the hammer attacker, who was looking for Speaker Pelosi, committed his domestic terrorism, Donald Trump has still said nothing about about it. No words of sympathy or well wishes or even the cliché “thoughts and prayers.” Trump must not have had time for that while he was busy posting 59 comments on his floundering social media scam, Truth Social, in the past 48 hours. Most of those posts were pitiful glorifications of himself and tiresome attacks his enemies. And he couldn’t resist taking a swipe at his new competitor, Elon Musk…

Among Trump’s posts is one that repeated his long festering obsession with what he calls a “Witch Hunt.” To Trump that musty bromide can be referring to any of a dozen or more probes into his criminal misconduct. This post, however, doesn’t bother with messy trivialities like specifics or facts…

“The Witch Hunt continues, and after 6 years and millions of pages of documents, they’ve got nothing. If I had what Hunter and Joe had, it would be the Electric Chair. Our Country is Rigged, Crooked, and Evil – We must bring it back, and FAST. Next stop, Communism!”

Trump is demonstrating his remarkable capacity for self-deception. The truth is that there is an abundance of evidence against him in both his criminal and civil cases. And it is that incriminating record that is actually triggering frantic posts like this one. He knows he’s guilty. Which is why he is so afraid and is evading subpoenas and testimony. It’s also why is lashing out at the judge in a case that is commencing on Monday…

Trump’s post also reveals his fear by trying to divert attention to Hunter and Joe Biden. Whether or not there is any illegality on their part (for which there is no evidence), it wouldn’t change anything about his own legal peril. But it is surprising that he is escalating the potential penalties for his crimes to capital punishment.

Worst of all, Trump is continuing to express his devout hatred for America as “evil” and headed toward “communism.”. These are themes that he rehashes frequently, while pretending to be patriotic. Trump uses this narrative to foment fear among his cult followers. He requires them to be in a state of unmitigated terror 24/7. Such as when he recently ranted during a speech at his cult rally in Nevada that…

“You can’t walk down a street in a Democrat-run city without being shot or mugged or knifed [and that under] the radical left Democrats, the streets of our once great cities are drenched in the blood of innocent victims.”

Contrary to Trump’s panic mongering, while there has been a recent uptick in crime, particularly violent crime, overall it is actually way down from levels just a few years ago. And if Trump wants to make a case for effective crime mitigation according to political party, he’s going to be disappointed to learn that the states with the highest crime rates are run by Republicans. According to a recent study, “Eight of the top ten worst murder rate states voted for Trump in 2020.”

The media isn’t helping to set the record straight with regard to crime in America. And Fox News is purposefully distorting the record. Since crime, along with the economy, tops the list of issues that are most important to voters, it is imperative that Democrats get the message out that they are the party that better serves the interests of the people on both counts. And they only have ten days left to do it.

Crybaby Trump Whines that ‘the FBI Must Apologize for All of its Illegal and Sinister Actions’

The Republican Party and its once and future wannabe king, Donald Trump, likes to pretend that they are the “law and order” party, and dedicated to the pursuit of justice and those who enforce it. In reality, nothing could be farther from the truth. Trump and his GOP confederates have the longest rap sheets of any administration in modern history.

The Legal Hall Shame members from Trump World include Trump himself, plus his political and business crime partners such as Steve Bannon, Paul Manafort, Rudy Giuliani, Michael Flynn, Roger Stone, Allen Weisselberg, and Michael Cohen, just for starters.

Investigations that are ongoing into Trump’s shady practices include probes into Mar-a-Lago classified documents, the January 6th insurrection, the Georgia election interference, and the New York Attorney General’s lawsuit against the Trump Organization. In all, “Trump has been credibly accused of committing at least 48 criminal offenses while he was serving as President of the United States or campaigning for that office.”

On the weakness of that record, Trump is now demanding that the FBI apologize for imaginary offenses related to their search of his Mar-a-Lago bunker. That search yielded hundreds of highly sensitive national security documents that Trump unlawfully took from the white House and stored at his Palm Beach resort hotel/home. Despite the overwhelming evidence that Trump’s possession of those materials was illegal and dangerous, and that he flagrantly lied about having them, he continues to complain that he is being persecuted. On his floundering social media scam, Truth social, Trump dropped a post sobbing that…

“The FBI must apologize for all of its illegal and sinister actions – and it continues with the Mar-a-Lago Raid and Box Hoax!”

As usual, Trump can’t identify a single illegal or sinister action that hasn’t already been debunked. Nevertheless, he characterizes his being held legally accountable as – what else – a “hoax.” And what makes this tantrum all the worse is that it includes a link to an article by the Epoch Times, an ultra-rightist source that is run by the China-based Falun Gong cult. Not surprisingly, the Epoch Times regularly promotes the crackpot conspiracy theories of QAnon.

The article Trump links to is about the recently failed investigation by John Durham, the special counsel Trump had his Attorney Genuflect Bill Barr install to spread disinformation about Trump’s embrace of Russia’s election interference in 2016. Durham’s probe recently resulted in its second acquittal, and despite spending three years and millions of dollars, was unable to contrive any unlawful conduct by President Biden, Hillary Clinton, President Obama, or any of its other innocent targets.

The article, like Trump and his minions, adopted the bizarre right-wing media narrative that Durham’s failure was actually a success. It alleged that the investigation “uncovered the full story of the Russian collusion hoax” (it didn’t), and that “Many people should be going to jail for this, including Obama” (they shouldn’t). And it comically concluded that these Democratic ne’er do wells “got away with it from a legal standpoint. But the truth will never set them free.”

WHUT? The truth is generally considered to be the pathway to freedom. But to these goofballs it doesn’t matter if what you say is true. They are flipping the rules to assert that only lies will set you free. Which is understandable from their perspective since they tell so many of them. It’s really all they’ve got.

Trump Attacks Judge for Ordering Release of Emails that Show He Conspired to Defraud the U.S.

The evidence that Donald Trump is leading a crusade to subvert democracy and impose himself as America’s first fascist dictator keeps being revealed in court proceedings. The latest example came in the findings of a federal judge in California who is presiding over the trial of former Trump attorney, John Eastman.

Judge David Carter was presented with a tranche of emails that Eastman sought to suppress. However, Carter ruled that several of the emails showed that Trump knew that the voter fraud claims he was making were lies. Consequently, Carter ordered Eastman to turn over the emails, making them available to the congressional January 6th Committee that is investigating the insurrection in Washington, D.C. that Trump incited:

“‘The emails show that President Trump knew that the specific numbers of voter fraud were wrong but continued to tout those numbers, both in court and to the public,’ Judge David O. Carter wrote. ‘The Court finds that these emails are sufficiently related to and in furtherance of a conspiracy to defraud the United States,’ he added.”

Predictably, this ruling triggered Trump who took to his floundering social media scam, Truth Social, to post another whining complaint asking…

“Who’s this Clinton appointed ‘Judge,’ David Carter, who keeps saying, and sending to all, very nasty, wrong, and ill informed statements about me on rulings, or a case (whatever!), currently going on in California, that I know nothing about – nor am I represented. With that being said, please explain to this partisan hack that the Presidential Election of 2020 was Rigged and Stolen. Also, he shouldn’t be making statements about me until he understands the facts, which he doesn’t!”

Notice that nowhere in that pathetic babbling does Trump cite a single fact that refutes the findings by Judge Carter. Trump is simply doing what he always does – yammering like a colicky infant who isn’t getting his way. What’s more, his criticism that Judge Carter is saying and/or sending “very nasty, wrong, and ill informed statements” isn’t accurate. Carter is merely making Trump’s own statements in his emails available.

Trump admits in his harangue that he “knows nothing about” the Eastman case. Which is interesting considering that the case has been pending for nearly a year, that Eastman was his lawyer, and that the case directly references Trump’s criminal behavior. If he really doesn’t know anything about it, that can only be because he’s astonishingly ignorant and divorced from reality. Although, to be fair, he has had quite a lot of sleazeball lawyers to keep track of.

Trump also complains that he isn’t represented at this trial, which isn’t surprising since he isn’t a defendant in the case. However, he does append his tedious carping about the 2020 presidential election being “Rigged and Stolen” from him. That’s a charge that Trump has had more than two years to validate, yet has never provided a shred of evidence despite filing – and losing – more than 60 court cases.

The emails that Judge Carter is making public add to the volumes of proof that Trump sought to illegally overturn an American election and undermine faith in the democratic process. They show that Trump is guilty of both defrauding the U.S. and perjury. And we can expect him to continue to chisel away at democracy until he is stopped by the indictments and prosecutions he so richly deserves. And the sooner the better. Our country is teetering on the precipice of failure.

Trump’s Fear Mongering Lies About ‘Streets Drenched in Blood’ Reach New Depths of Depravity

The desperation of Donald Trump and his warped revision of the Republican Party becomes more evident with each passing day. The upcoming midterm elections, which were once predicted to be highly favorable to the GOP, now appear to be trending more to the Democrats than anyone thought possible.

Consequently, Trump is stepping up his cult rally schedule, as well as his rancid rhetoric. While crime has been an issue that Republicans have long sought to exploit, Trump’s take on it diverts farther from reality than any prior rendering. In Trump World America is a vortex of perpetual violence that threatens every man, woman, and child, twenty-fours a day. No, really. He told his Deplorables at his latest traveling salvation show that…

“If we are going to make America great again, we have to make America safe again. It’s the only way. You can’t walk down a street in a Democrat-run city without being shot or mugged or knifed. Under Steve Sisolak, your crime-loving governor, and the radical left Democrats, the streets of our once great cities are drenched in the blood of innocent victims. That’s what’s happening in all of these Democrat-run cities. And I would say just about all of them.”

First of all, nearly all large cities in the U.S. are “Democrat-run” cities. That’s because most people appreciate honesty and intelligence, and policies that benefit working people that grow the economy from the middle, out. So Trump is saying, in effect, that the majority of the American people can’t walk down a street without being slaughtered by a homicidal maniac. Which is, of course, preposterous. But it serves Trump’s purpose to frighten people into holing up in their basements and shooting at anything that moves outside.

What’s more, Trump accuses Democrats of being “crime-loving” civic leaders. Which is ironic coming from someone who is currently being investigated for multiple federal, state, and civil crimes- far more than any other president or high-ranking public official.

More to the point, Trump is, as usual, wrong. Studies show that crime is actually higher per capita in Republican areas. One such study by the centrist Third Way organization found that…

“Murder rates are actually higher in Republican, Trump-voting states that haven’t even flirted with ideas like defund the police. Eight of the ten most lawless, high-murder states are not only Trump-voting states, but GOP bastions for the last quarter of a century. A more accurate conclusion from the data is that Republicans do a far better job blaming others for high murder rates than actually reducing high murder rates.”

Furthermore, the study found that even cities run by Republicans often had worse crime rates than comparable cities run by Democrats. In one amusing example they found that…

“Jacksonville, a city with a Republican mayor, had 128 more murders in 2020 than San Francisco, a city with a Democrat mayor, despite their comparable populations. In fact, the homicide rate in Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s San Francisco was half that of House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy’s Bakersfield, a city with a Republican mayor that overwhelmingly voted for Trump.”

Don’t expect to hear Trump or any other republican acknowledge these facts. And don’t expect to see any of them on Fox News. Because Trump and the GOP, and the propagandists at Fox, are too fixated on spreading lies intended to scare the bejeebers out of everyone within earshot. It’s the only thing they have left since fully adopting the lunacy of QAnon and abandoning the real world that the rest of us inhabit.
