LOL: Fox News Defends Trump By Admitting that He’s a Lying, Narcissistic, Anti-Democratic, Loser

Last week Donald Trump was served the latest in his collection of criminal indictments. And it’s quite a collection that includes 78 felony counts ranging from falsifying financial records, to stealing and hoarding classified documents, to interfering with congressional proceedings, to lying to federal authorities, to obstructing justice.

Donald Trump, Fox News

Trump’s most recent indictment involves his efforts to undermine democracy and unlawfully clinging to power through deception and intimidation. He and his attorneys are trying to dismiss the allegations as merely expressions of free speech, but they are pretending not to know that he is being charged for what he did, not what said. And, by the way, what he said is illegal all by itself.

SEE THIS: WTF? Trump’s Attorney Repeatedly Insists that January 6th Was a ‘Peaceful Transfer of Power’

Predictably, Trump’s Ministry of Disinformation (aka Fox News) has been furiously spinning the news associated with Trump’s criminality. They have been hosting Trump flunkies from the press and politics to flagrantly lie about the state of his pending criminal cases. Among them was his attorney, John Lauro, whose bizarre commentaries seek to exonerate Trump with delusional claims such as that the deadly January 6th insurrection was a “peaceful transition of power.”

On Monday morning, Fox News host, Julie Banderas, delivered one of the most absurd defenses of Trump to date. In a segment wherein she was arguing that it would be impossible to have a fair trial for Trump, she ended up conceding the most deplorable personality traits that most Americans already attribute to him…

“[Trying] this case impartially is impossible. Politics written all over it. Attorneys are supposed to represent the law, not politics. Judges, same. […] So I want to talk about Trump’s alleged crimes for a second. He hasn’t been indicted with incitement. So we know that. It’s not a crime to tell lies. Being a narcissist isn’t a crime. Hatching schemes to stay in office is not a crime. And claiming you won an election that you know you lost is not a crime.

First of all, Banderas takes the wholly unpatriotic position that her colleagues in the conservative press share, which is that the American justice system is fatally flawed and incapable of serving the interests of the people and the law. She flat out rejects the notion that any crimes committed by politicians can be fairly adjudicated. Her implication is that they should all get off scot free, so long as they are Republicans.

Banderas also complained that “there is no way” a judge who “has it in for one of their future cases” is going to recuse themselves. And with that she is perfectly describing the situation in Florida where the Trump-appointed judge, Aileen Cannon, is presiding over the stolen classified documents case.

Banderas then goes on to explain why Trump, in particular, should be excused from any accountability for his crimes. And in the process she makes some startling concessions as to his character. For instance, she says that…

  • “It’s not a crime to tell lies.” So Trump is not guilty, even though he is a liar.
  • Being a narcissist isn’t a crime. So Trump is not guilty, even though he is a narcissist.
  • “Hatching schemes to stay in office is not a crime.” So Trump is not guilty, even though he conspired to retain power by soliciting fake electors and threatening state election officials.
  • “Claiming you won an election that you know you lost is not a crime.” So Trump is not guilty, even though he lost in 2020 and has been lying about it ever since.

It’s nice of Banderas to finally admit that Trump is a lying, narcissistic, anti-democratic, loser. However, contrary to Banderas’ conclusion, that doesn’t really mean that he isn’t guilty. There are many lies told by con men, or others in the commission of fraud, that are indeed crimes. Also perjury, which is a lie under oath, is a crime. And false statements on financial documents are crimes.

It is also a crime to conspire to overturn an election by recruiting people to impersonate electors who will vote for Trump when the actual electors selected by voters chose Joe Biden. It’s also a crime to threaten governors and other state officials with prosecution, or otherwise propose retribution, if they don’t fraudulently “find” thousands of votes to overturn an election outcome. And it is certainly a crime to do all of the above to correct alleged election fraud, especially when you know that there wasn’t any such fraud. In fact, it would still be a crime if there was fraud, which there wasn’t.

The only part of Banderas’ commentary that was accurate, was her assertion that narcissism isn’t a crime. However, it is a repulsive and potentially dangerous trait for anyone in a position of power. And it can surely lead to crimes by such a person who regards themselves as superior and entitled to commit crimes if they feel like it. And if you’ve been paying attention, you shouldn’t need any further evidence of that than Donald Trump.

For the record, Trump was charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstructing an official proceeding, and conspiracy against the right to vote and to have one’s vote counted. All of which are the sort of crimes that Banderas was so cavalierly dismissing. Which is typical for Fox News, as is evident in the following stories…

WTF? Trump’s Attorney Repeatedly Insists that January 6th Was a ‘Peaceful Transfer of Power’

Last week Donald Trump was indicted for the third time, which puts him in first place for the number of times that an American president or former president was indicted. Second place is a 45 way tie with zero times indicted. And with a total of 78 felony counts pending against him, there are pretty good odds that he will be convicted of something, and even prison isn’t out of the question.

Donald Trump Insurrection

But Trump isn’t resting on his lack of morals. He spent much of the week defying court orders to refrain from intimidating jurors or witnesses, or obstructing the administration of justice. In multiple posts on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, Trump overtly threatened everyone from the judge, to special counsel Jack Smith, to potential witnesses and jurors, to his own former Vice-President, Mike Pence.

SEE THIS: Trump Attacks Pence on Truth Social After Told By Judge to Refrain From Witness Intimidation

On Sunday morning Trump’s lead attorney, John Lauro, pulled what is known in the media as a “full Ginsburg,” by appearing on every major Sunday morning political news television program. But if he thinks he was benefiting his client, he might be sorely disappointed when he reads the reviews of his performances.

What Lauro has offered as a defense for Trump is extraordinarily weak and devoid of any legal basis. For instance, on CNN’s State of the Union, Lauro was interviewed by Dana Bash. He attempted to justify Trump’s crimes by falsely asserting that they were merely expressions of free speech. Never mind that the indictments are not charging Trump for what he said, but for what he did. Lauro even acknowledged that in the interview. However, he went off the rails shortly thereafter…

Lauro: The ultimate request that president Trump made was to pause the voting for ten days to allow the states to recertify or certify or audit, and Mr. Pence rejected that as well. After that there was a peaceful transition of power. So that’s how the Constitution works.
Bash: What happened on January 6th was not peaceful.
Lauro: Wait a minute. The transfer of power was certainly peaceful
Bash: Did you see what happened on January 6th? Did that look peaceful to you?
Lauro: I’m not saying that that was in any way appropriate. But the ultimate power of the presidency was transferred to Mr. Biden.

For starters, Lauro’s assertion that Trump tried to get Pence to “pause the voting for ten days” is a virtual admission of his guilt. The Congress is mandated by the Constitution to certify the Electoral College vote, and the vice-president has no authority to interfere with that. The fact that Pence declined to participate in Trump’s criminal conspiracy doesn’t absolve Trump of guilt.

Perhaps more bizarre was Lauro’s contention that the January 6th insurrection that Trump incited was a “peaceful transition of power.” He is taking the brazenly delusional position that many of Trump’s cult followers in politics and the press have previously tried to take.

SEE ALSO: Fox News Fabulist Tucker Carlson Launches a Laughably Lame Defense of His January 6th Lies

Dana Bash, however, wasn’t having it. She immediately corrected Lauro. Although her correction appeared to have no effect on him. He persisted with his lies. And he elaborated by saying that, because the presidency was eventually transferred, that any suggestion of violence was null and void. By that logic, the Civil War was peaceful. After all, ultimately power was ceded to the Union and the Confederacy acquiesced. See? Totally peaceful.

In his interview with Chuck Todd on NBC’s Meet the Press, Lauro also claimed that Trump was innocent because “Trump believed in his heart of hearts that he had won that election.” Which is an utterly absurd legal argument. It would mean that if you “believe in your heart” that your bank ripped you off, you have a right to conspire with your friends to rob it.

It’s also notable that throughout the interview, Lauro referred to Trump as the “president,” but in this exchange he referred to the actual President as “Mr. Biden.” This is a deliberate effort to shape the narrative that Biden is not the legitimate President and that Trump was denied his place as America’s first dictator.

These sort of statements might work well to feed the fetid fantasies of Trump’s cult followers on Fox News, but they will fail pitifully with the nation at large, and especially, in the courtroom. It’s a preposterous defense strategy. But it’s likely the best that Trump can expect considering that he has no coherent case for innocence, or access to reputable attorneys.

Trump Attacks Pence on Truth Social After Told By Judge to Refrain From Witness Intimidation

WOW, it’s finally happened! Not that it wasn’t entirely expected. Less than 48 hours after Judge Tanya Chutkan, who presiding over the latest indictments by special counsel Jack Smith, “reminded Trump it is a crime to intimidate a juror, bribe anyone or obstruct the administration of justice,” Trump has done so – twice.

Donald Trump, Mike Pence, Hanging

The first time came on Friday when Trump posted a comment on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, that was an overt threat to any variety of persons that could be associated with the case. He shouted in all caps, “IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I’M COMING AFTER YOU!” Let that be a warning to all of you judges, jurors, witnesses, congresspersons, and journalists. And Trump is especially mad at the prosecutors who are doing their duty to uphold the law.

SEE THIS: Trump’s Pathetic ‘Welcome to the Fraud Squad’ Meme Doesn’t Mean What He Thinks it Means

However, that threat apparently didn’t satisfy Trump’s lust for blood. So on Saturday he decided to go after a specific witness in the upcoming trial, his former Vice-President, Mike Pence, who was a target for hanging by Trump’s January 6th insurrectionists. Trump yelped that…

“WOW, it’s finally happened! Liddle’ Mike Pence, a man who was about to be ousted as Governor Indiana until I came along and made him V.P., has gone to the Dark Side. I never told a newly emboldened (not based on his 2% poll numbers!) Pence to put me above the Constitution, or that Mike was ‘too honest.’ He’s delusional, and now he wants to show he’s a tough guy. I once read a major magazine article on Mike. It said he was not a very good person. I was surprised, but the article was right. Sad!”

Trump is now characterizing Pence as “a man who was about to be ousted as Governor,” and has “gone to the dark side,” a place that Trump should know well. A few days ago he said Pence was flawed and failing.” Isn’t it comforting that this is the sort of man that Trump elevated to being once removed from the presidency? Although, he has pretty much disparaged his entire Cabinet in the same fashion. Which may be one reason that out of dozens of people who worked in the Trump administration, only four have endorsed him, and most of the others say he is unfit for office.

SEE ALSO: Trump is Running for President So He Can Appoint More People He Will Eventually Call Losers

Trump was triggered by citations in the latest indictment wherein Trump told Pence that he was “too honest” when Pence refused to go along with Trump’s scheme to undermine democracy. And he was surely upset that that Pence was making money selling “Too Honest” t-shirts. More to the point, Trump was angry because his plot to halt the certification Joe Biden’s election by the Congress on January 6, 2021 was foiled by Pence’s “disloyalty.” That constitutionally mandated event was interrupted by the rioters that Trump incited.

Trump’s denial that he made the comment is, like most of what Trump says, hardly believable. Particularly because Pence said it in contemporaneous notes that special counsel Smith included in his indictment. So Pence made those remarks two years ago, while he was still Trump’s VP, and long before he was running for president. As reported by the Associated Press

“The 45-page indictment is informed, in part, by contemporaneous notes that Pence kept of their conversations in the days leading up to the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, as Trump tried to pressure Pence to go along with his desperate — and prosecutors say illegal — scheme to keep the two men in power.

“Among the discussions: an episode in which Trump is alleged to have told Pence that he was “too honest” for rejecting Trump’s false claims that Pence had the power to overturn the vote. “Bottom line — won every state by 100,000s of votes,” Trump said in another conversation, according to the indictment.”

Smith filed a motion on Saturday for a protective order following Trump’s first threat. The judge told the Trump camp to respond by 5:00 pm Monday. Trump’s attorneys then filed for an extension. But the judge quickly denied that.

Now this new threat may add some more spice to the ongoing melodrama. But one thing remains certain: The more Trump speaks, the more trouble he gets himself into. So we can expect more of the same going forward.

Trump’s Pathetic ‘Welcome to the Fraud Squad’ Meme Doesn’t Mean What He Thinks it Means

Poor Donald Trump. He is convinced that he is social media’s top influencer and the Internet’s premiere meme artist. But to the contrary, he is a pitiful geezer barking at his glassy-eyed cult followers on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, which is hemorrhaging both cash and users as it struggles to avoid the mounting legal turmoil that is threatening its extinction.

Trump, Fraud Squad

If it seems like each new day brings more indictments against Trump, it isn’t your imagination. He pleaded not guilty on both Thursday and Friday this week to new felony counts (78 so far) of undermining democracy and obstruction of justice. Which is ironic considering what Trump said back in 2016 about Hillary Clinton, who has racked up a total of zero indictments…

SEE THIS: Donald Trump: Presidential Candidates Under Felony Indictment Have ‘No Right to Be Running’

Trump’s flaming fear of finally being held to account for his lifetime of crime has been on full display. He is lashing out furiously at his perceived enemies with rancid and infantile insults at politicians and the press. But most of all, Trump is super mad at the prosecutors who are doing their duty to uphold the law.

Trump has frequently lobbed accusations of racism at Manhattan District Attorney, Alvin Bragg, New York Attorney General, Letitia James, and Fulton County, Georgia D.A., Fani Willis, all of whom are Black. And he has repeatedly referred to special counsel Jack Smith as a “deranged” “leftist” “thug” who is doing the bidding of “Crooked” Joe Biden. Never mind that neither Biden, nor his Attorney General Merrick Garland, have had anything to do with Smith’s investigation or indictments. That’s why independent special counsels are appointed.

None of that, however, has deterred Trump from making wild and wholly unsupported claims of “prosecutorial misconduct” and “election interference.” And on Friday Trump summed up his outrage in a meme (posted above) that puts his idiocy on exhibit for the world to see.

The meme features a picture of Biden and the four prosecutors (so far) that are probing Trump’s multitude of crimes. He calls them “The Fraud Squad.” But the problem with that is that Trump’s limited capabilities with the English language make this meme a compliment, rather than the attack that he intended.

Just like the “Homicide Squad” goes after murderers, and the “Vice Squad” goes after crimes of moral offenses (gambling, prostitution, drugs), the Fraud Squad would go after swindlers, hustlers, and con men. In other words, Trump. Therefore, his graphic is actually a tribute to the President and the law enforcement officials who are seeking to bring Trump to justice.

Trump’s rap sheet for fraud is long and well documented. His phony “university” was shut down and he was ordered to pay $25 million to his victims. His New York charity, the Trump Foundation, was also shuttered and he and his family were prohibited from running any other non-profits in the state for five years.

SEE ALSO: Here’s a Quick Primer on the Criminal Corruption of the Trump Foundation

In addition to his misdirected meme, Trump also posted an overt threat just hours after he was warned not to do so by Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is overseeing his case in Washington, D.C. He raged that “IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I’M COMING AFTER YOU!”

Set aside that Trump’s threats are feeble flustering that he doesn’t have the fortitude to follow through on. They are nevertheless dangerous because they are signals to his cult disciples who might be crazy enough to carry out his retribution for him. Then they would suffer the consequences of arrest and imprisonment while Trump bellies up to the breakfast bar and crashes weddings at his Mar-a-Lago resort. Which is likely where the Fraud Squad will find him after he is convicted and they are ready to transport him to the penitentiary.

INDICT FOX NEWS! They Are as Guilty as Trump of the Same Crimes in His Latest Indictment

This week the twice-impeached Donald Trump was indicted for the third time for serious felonies against the United States. That brings the total count of the charges against him to 78. Which is a remarkable achievement considering that second place for the number charges against a president is a 45 way tie of zero counts.

Donald Trump Fox News

The latest batch of crimes in the new indictment charge Trump with: conspiracy to defraud the United States; conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding; obstruction of an official proceeding; and conspiracy against the right to vote and to have one’s vote counted. Trump’s defense is the same one he has been yammering about since his first indictment. It consists mainly of insulting the Justice Department, Attorney General Merrick Garland, special counsel Jack Smith, and of course President Biden. What his defense is conspicuously lacking is, well, a defense.

SEE THIS: Trump is OUTRAGED He Wasn’t Indicted Years Ago, While Desperately Trying to Delay His Trials

Trump’s new indictment also mentions six of his close associates as unindicted co-conspirators. They are not named in the indictment, but it is pretty clear who most of them are. Five of them have been identified in the press as Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, Sidney Powell, Jeffrey Clark, Kenneth Chesebro, and an unknown political consultant. Interestingly, all of the known co-conspirators have been Trump’s legal advisors.

However, there is another co-conspirator that wasn’t mentioned in the indictment, but that deserves more scrutiny. And that is Fox News. Examining each of the counts charged in Trump’s indictment reveals that Fox News is just as guilty of those crimes as Trump. For instance…

Conspiracy to defraud the United States:
Trump has spent nearly three years claiming falsely that the 2020 election was “rigged and stolen” from him. He has never been able to provide a shred of evidence to support his claims. But Fox News has regurgitated his lies faithfully the whole time. Their dishonesty resulted in having to agree to settle a defamation lawsuit brought by Dominion Voting Systems for 3/4 of a billion dollars.

Conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding:
Trump and his team plotted to overturn the election results by soliciting slates of fake electors who would cast their Electoral College votes for Trump, against the will of the voters. Several of Fox’s hosts (i.e. Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Maria Bartiromo) were on board with that plot and encouraged Trump to pursue it.

Obstruction of an official proceeding;
Trump’s efforts to interfere with the constitutionally mandated duties of Congress to certify the election outcome resulted in the violent insurrection on January 6th, 2021. The riots that ensued caused Congress to shut down its proceedings as their members and staff, and even Trump’s Vice-President Mike Pence, fled for their lives.

Conspiracy against the right to vote and to have one’s vote counted:
All of Trump’s activities from election day November 3, 2020, until the the January 6th insurrection and beyond, were intended to deprive American voters of their right to have the candidate of their choice assume office. He even threatened the governor of Georgia (and other state officials) with prosecution if he didn’t “find” 11,870 more votes for Trump. And Fox News aided and abetted Trump every step of the way.

While the responsibility for these offenses against America and democracy lies primarily with Trump, it is impossible to separate Fox News from the conspiracy and the crimes. Although Trump was the criminal boss, he could not have gotten as far as he did without Fox News.

Trump’s lies about 2020 election fraud, his plots to undermine democracy, his inciting of an insurrection, his pressuring of state election officials to change vote counts, all contributed to his attempted coup, and were all backed by Fox News. And it is not insignificant that many of the January 6th defendants have cited Fox News as justification for their actions. But on Fox News those rioters were heralded as heroes and/or victims.

SEE ALSO: Tucker Carlson Spins January 6th Insurrection Videos to Spread Blatant Lies, Trump Praises Him

For all of the reasons stated above, it would be appropriate for Fox News to be included in the prosecution of Trump and his crimes against the United States. Fox principles like Rupert Murdoch and Suzanne Scott, along with hosts Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Jesse Watters, Maria Bartiromo, and others, should be held to account for their anti-American actions. They are more than disseminators of propaganda. They are co-conspirators and traitors.

Trump is OUTRAGED He Wasn’t Indicted Years Ago, While Desperately Trying to Delay His Trials

As Donald Trump’s legal jeopardy mounts, his behavior descends into ever deeper displays of anguish. This week special counsel Jack Smith amended the indictment already filed to add new counts that primarily address Trump’s frantic efforts to cover up the crimes previously charged.

Donald Trump Angry

Throughout Trump’s cavalcade of corruption, he has responded mainly by hurling pathetic insults at the prosecutors and judges that he believes have been recruited by his enemies for the express purpose of tormenting him. He has yet to present anything that resembles a coherent defense based on facts or evidence that might attest to his innocence.

RELATED: Snowflake Trump Whines to DOJ that ‘An Indictment of Me Would Only Further Destroy Our Country’

On Saturday Trump lashed out again at the judicial “radicals” and “thugs” that he is convinced are colluding to destroy him. At his latest cult rally, Trump introduced a unique argument for why he shouldn’t be held to account for his multitude of crimes…

“Why didn’t the corrupt Marxist prosecutors bring these radical and unjustified charges against me two and half years ago, They had two and half years. Two and half years. Nobody even knew they were looking at it. I don’t think they were. But they waited two and half, almost three years so that they could bring them right in the middle of my presidential election, because it’s election interference. These are crooked people.”

So Trump now seems to believe that the charges against him are unfair and unwarranted because they weren’t brought two and half years ago – in January of 2021 – just a few days after he left the White House and President Biden was inaugurated. It was also only three weeks after the violent January 6th insurrection that he incited.

Apparently Trump thinks that those few days were enough time to investigate his attempted coup and his plot to undermine democracy. And not only that, but he also thinks that it was sufficient time to build a case for his having stolen and hoarded hundreds of classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago hotel/home, that authorities didn’t even know about at the time. When he says that “Nobody even knew they were looking at it. I don’t think they were,” he’s actually right. but not for the reasons swirling in the soup of his steaming psychosis.

Furthermore, can you imagine Trump’s response if he had been charged that quickly? He would have been correct to condemn it as a rush to judgment. But since the Justice Department and the special counsel were measured and respectful of the law, Trump is complaining that they waited too long. And set aside that it is preposterous to assert that bringing these charges a year and half before the 2024 election is “the middle” of the campaign. It is assuredly not “election interference” or “prosecutorial misconduct” as Trump has been yammering.

Trump’s whining because these charges weren’t brought against him sooner is ludicrous on its face. But if he were sincere about wanting this affair to conclude, why has he been the one engaging in endless delaying tactics? Why doesn’t he allow the case to go to trial on December 11, as the the special counsel has proposed? Trump rejected that date as being too soon, and proposed that the trial be postponed until – well, never – or at least after November 2024. So by Trump’s perverse logic, it’s too late to bring the charges, but too soon to hold the trial.

Trump, of course, is only trying to avoid the inevitable. He knows that he’s guilty and is terrified of having to face the consequences. A defendant who is confidant of their innocence would want to clear their name as quickly as possible, particularly if they were running for elective office. But Trump has been jamming on the brakes, and even obstructing justice, because he knows the truth: that his getting acquitted at trial is as likely as his getting a Nobel prize for chemistry.

Fox News Shill Holds Pity Party for Trump Accomplices Who ‘Just Did What the Boss Said’

Having become the first American president to be criminally indicted is apparently not a fulfilling enough historical achievement for Donald Trump. He now seems bent on also securing the record for the most felony counts. And with more than seventy so far, he’s taken what may be an insurmountable lead in that pursuit.

Fox News, Donald Trump Baby

Everyday appears to bring new and more damning evidence of the corruption and obsessive criminality of Trump. And as he recognizes the depth of his legal peril, his tantrums become ever more rancid and removed from reality. Trump is fixated on his perception of himself as victim. And despite the abundance of evidence against him, he keeps returning to his tedious whining about “witch hunts,” and “election interference.”

SEE THIS: Snowflake Trump Whines to DOJ that ‘An Indictment of Me Would Only Further Destroy Our Country’

On Thursday, special counsel Jack Smith announced a series of new charges against Trump as well as a couple of his close associates. The new charges are mainly related to Trump conspiring to cover up his prior crimes by destroying evidence, lying to law enforcement, and otherwise obstructing justice. Surprisingly, Fox News reported on these superseding indictments, and even provided an informative graphic detailing the allegations.

However, not everyone at Fox News was particularly happy about Trump’s latest legal liabilities. The “Curvy Couch” potatoes of Fox and Friends expressed a rare measure of empathy for the poor guys who were swept up in Trump’s treasonous plot. Co-host Ainsley Earhardt was especially concerned. In an interview with former federal prosecutor, Francey Hakes, Earhardt let her feelings be known…

“Why do you think they’re going after these people? First let’s start with Mar-a-Lago. One is the valet that turned into the property manager, worked for him for twenty years. Why are they going after these guys where their boss might have said ‘We’re not gonna hand over the video,’ or whatever, and they just did what the boss said?” […]

“I mean these guys just worked for him. You feel sorry for them. One started out as a valet and then he’s running the property twenty years later, and probably providing for his family. And now they’re trying to charge these guys so that they’ll flip on Donald Trump. And then you’ve got President Biden on the other side caught with the same thing, and where is that special counsel?”

Yeah! Why should these poor schnooks suffer just because they willingly participated in a conspiracy to obstruct justice and destroy evidence on behalf of the mob boss they’ve worked for for many years? After all, they started at the bottom of the crime syndicate and worked their way up to become trusted lieutenants to the ringleader. They were just following orders. They were just trying to provide for their families by helping to undermine democracy. Who can blame them?

Earhardt sympathetically sobs that you have to “feel sorry for them,” but she is less troubled by the fact that they broke the law, lied to authorities, and tampered with evidence. That’s the sort of behavior that is rewarded in Trump World if it’s done in furtherance of Trump’s treachery.

For his part, Trump is continuing to toss out tirades on his floundering Truth Social that he thinks will lead to his liberation. Following the new charges, Trump raged that Jack Smith and Merrick Garland (for whom he has a new nickname) should be imprisoned, saying that…

“They ought to throw Deranged Jack Smith and his Thug Prosecutors in jail, with Meritless Garland and Trump Hating Lisa Monaco. They have totally Weaponized the Department of Injustice. Whatever happened to the Crooked Joe Biden Boxes Case? […] Why has no other President ever been charged?”

Trump doesn’t bother to identify what laws any of them have violated. He just wants all of his political foes locked up because they dare to have respect for the law. As for why no other President ever been similarly charged, it’s simply because no other President has ever committed similar – and so many – crimes. And that’s a record that Trump can rest assured will prevail long into the future.

Snowflake Trump Whines to DOJ that ‘An Indictment of Me Would Only Further Destroy Our Country’

America is on “Indictment Watch” for the third (and possibly fourth) time in the post-Trump era. Not satisfied with being the first American president to be indicted, Donald Trump is endeavoring to secure his place in history by not just nailing down the first indictment, but also the most.

Donald Trump, Snowflakes

On Thursday morning the press reported that the Grand Jury investigating Trump’s role on the January 6th insurrection, and associated efforts to overthrow the government and subvert democracy, was meeting. The speculation was that they could be ready to announce the latest batch of charges against Trump for criminal violation of least three federal statutes, including deprivation of rights, conspiracy to defraud the U.S., and tampering with a witness. This was not unexpected by legal analysts, or even by Trump himself…

SEE THIS: Terrified Trump is Telegraphing that He Already Knows About New Indictments for January 6th

Trump’s anxious anticipation not withstanding, he immediately rushed to his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, to deny that anything was going on. His denial was particularly curious considering that he had already been predicting the imminent indictments. He yelped that…

“My attorneys had a productive meeting with the DOJ this morning, explaining in detail that I did nothing wrong, was advised by many lawyers, and that an Indictment of me would only further destroy our Country. No indication of notice was given during the meeting — Do not trust the Fake News on anything!”

Well, that should settle the whole matter then. Trump’s attorneys “explained” that he “did nothing wrong” and that “an Indictment of me would only further destroy our Country.” So naturally, special counsel Jack Smith will forthwith drop the case and return to his prior engagement in Switzerland.

Needless to say, Trump will not be getting off that easy. Smith’s team surely knew already that Trump would claim that he’s innocent. And the threat that his indictment would “further destroy our Country” is not only a ludicrous legal argument, it is the complete opposite of reality. Not indicting Trump would be far more dangerous for the country. It would set a precedent for future traitors aspiring to stage a violent coup.

Furthermore, Trump is just plain lying about not having been given what he oddly calls an “indication of notice” that he will be indicted. As noted above, he explicitly forecast it himself. What’s more, several days ago he acknowledged receiving a target letter from the special counsel, which is a de facto notice of the likelihood of an indictment.

Additionally, Trump has been begging his congressional cult devotees to rescue him from the legal abyss that he has created for himself. That’s another indication that he knew what was coming. He posted a video imploring “Congress, if you will, please investigate the political witch hunts against me currently being brought by the corrupt DOJ and FBI, who are totally out of control. […] Stop them now. Save our country.” That’s the same DOJ he is now saying he had a “productive” meeting with.

Of course, anyone with even the slimmest knowledge of government knows that Congress cannot stop a Justice Department investigation. But Trump has never been one to let reality encroach on his delusional perception of the world. So we can expect much more of this sort of silliness going forward.

Ted Lieu Reads Federal Judge’s Confirmation that Trump is a Rapist Into Congressional Record

The legal and ethical failures of Donald Trump are historically unprecedented. He has been found to have stolen classified documents and hoarded them at his Mar-a-Lago hotel/home. He has defrauded his own supporters with fake universities and charities. He lied more than 40,000 times during his one-term occupying the White House.

Donald Trump, Woman, Fear

However, Trump’s personally atrocious behavior stands out among his multitude of atrocities. From the day that he told Access Hollywood that he could get away with grabbing women by their genitals, Trump has only exacerbated his reputation as a sleazeball. A jury recently found him liable for sexually abusing and defaming writer E. Jean Carrol. And the next day he appeared on a CNN town hall to defame her again.

Following Trump’s loss to Carroll, Trump filed a motion for a new trial trial. That was an especially stupid notion, even for Trump. Why would he want to litigate all over again a case that was rife with evidence of his guilt? Well, now a federal judge has rejected Trump’s motion. But he went even further to affirm what the jury did note that by definition, Trump is indeed a rapist.

To make matters worse for Trump, Rep. Ted Lieu got the court’s ruling and read the parts that related to Trump’s assault of Carroll into the Congressional Record. It’s a disturbing account of Trump’s grotesquery, but a necessary thing for Americans to know. Rep. Lieu said that…

“On July 19, 2023, federal Judge Lewis Kaplan rejected Donald Trump’s request for a new trial and confirmed that Donald Trump raped E. Jean Carroll. I’m going to submit this Court ruling into the Congressional Record, and now I’m going to read you what the judge found.

“On page 43 the judge ‘wrote Miss Carroll testified that the sexual assault, the rape, of which she accused Mr Trump involved especially painful forced digital penetration.’ The judge further writes ‘The testimony of the outcry witnesses, Miss Bernbach and Miss Martin, corroborated the essence of Miss Carroll’s account of a violent traumatic sexual assault.’

“On page 44 the judge wrote ‘The jury’s finding of sexual abuse, therefore, necessarily implies that it found that Mr Trump forcibly penetrated her vagina.’ The judge further writes ‘In other words that he raped her.'”

There is nothing more to add to that. Trump has been appropriately defined for posterity. He still needs to be appropriately punished. Carroll won a $5 million judgment from Trump, and she has appealed to increase that amount following Trump’s continued offenses. For good measure, Trump is also awaiting trial on his 70+ felony counts stemming from his two indictments. And the third indictment is said to be imminent. Which is all the more ironic considering that Trump once insisted that presidential candidates under felony indictment have “no right to be running.”

Terrified Trump is Telegraphing that He Already Knows About New Indictments for January 6th

Donald Trump has already been indicted twice on 71 felony counts ranging from violations of the Espionage Act to obstruction of justice. That’s only 71 more than any other president or former president in the history of the United States. And since Trump loves to brag about being the best at everything, he can now be proud that in this one area he has actually achieved his goal.

Donald Trump, Prison

However, Trump is not resting on his laurels. There are still several indictments pending that he can add to his record. Under the circumstances, you might think that Trump would want to expedite the trials awaiting him, A defendant who was certain that he wasn’t guilty would want to prove his innocence as quickly as possible, particularly if he’s running for office again.

But, no. Trump is trying desperately to delay his trials. Probably because he’s knows he’s guilty and doesn’t want those verdicts to be in the news during his campaign. He’s also likely hoping to be reelected so that he can order his Justice Department to quash the cases against him or so that he can pardon himself. Ironically, he’s using the abundance of charges against him to justify his requests for delays. Perhaps, in retrospect, he shouldn’t have committed so many crimes that his trials are congesting the courts.

In the meantime, Trump is throwing down temper tantrums on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social. The tenor of his rants was especially harsh this weekend. In fact, Trump’s tirades appear to suggest that he has already been informed of new indictments coming down from special counsel Jack Smith who, in addition to his probes of Trump’s theft and hoarding classified documents, is investigating his role in the January 6th insurrection and efforts to subvert democracy. Note the escalating urgency and fear in his recent posts…

Trump alerts his cult devotees to “remember” that everyone is out to get him if anything new about his trials should come out:

“Every time you see these Radical Lunatics and their partners in the Fake News Media talking about the ‘Trials and Tribulations’ of President Donald J. Trump, please remember that it is all a coordinated HOAX.”

Trump is preparing his flock for the results of a well executed and financed investigation:

“Just think of it! Between Mueller, Deranged Jack Smith, and Congressional Committees, over 100 Million Dollars has been spent investigating me since I came down the escalator in Trump Tower.”

Trump frames any new charges as politically partisan, despite the fact that the investigations have been effectively shielded from politics:

“Merrick Garland, Deranged Jack Smith, and coordinating Democrat ‘Prosecutors’ in New York and Atlanta, have become the Campaign Managers for the most corrupt and incompetent President in United States history.”

Trump is now signaling that more indictments are imminent, while threatening the “MONSTERS” he fears::

“How many times can Crooked Joe Biden’s DEPARTMENT OF INJUSTICE … INDICT HIS POLITICAL OPPONENT DURING THE COURSE OF THE CAMPAIGN? … WE MUST STOP THESE ‘MONSTERS’ FROM FURTHER DESTROYING OUR COUNTRY!”

Trump curiously wonders why he wasn’t brought to justice sooner, and again implies that he’s aware of new charges:

“Why didn’t they bring these ridiculous charges years before?”

Trump begs for help from his sycophants in Congress:

“Why hasn’t Republican ‘leadership’ in the Senate spoken up and rebuked Crooked Joe Biden and the Radical Left Democrats, Fascists, and Marxists?”

He isn’t coming right and saying it, but Trump is openly implying that he has knowledge of new indictments. And it’s notable to recall that he was the one who revealed to the world his previous indictments, before the special counsel publicly announced them. Also notable was his outrage at law enforcement for doing their job and holding him accountable for his crimes. So it’s not irrelevant that he’s revisiting that outrage now.
