On Fox News Trump Confesses that He Stole Classified Documents, Despite Hannity’s Coaching

There’s a reason that most competent lawyers advise their clients to refrain from commenting during criminal investigations and prior to indictments or trials. It’s because there is more than a small chance that they will say something that incriminates them and weakens their defense.

Fox News Sean Hannity

Donald Trump, however, never takes such salient advice because his malignant narcissism compels him to believe that he can’t possibly do anything wrong, and that his way of handling things will always be the best way. Consequently, he regularly shoots his big mouth off at his cult rallies and on television without any regard for the legal consequences of his bellicose babbling.

RELATED: Trump Admits He’s Guilty in a Fear-Drenched Rant Attacking the Special Counsel as a ‘Monster’

On Monday night Trump was welcomed back into the bosom of Fox News (where he has been conspicuously absent for some weeks) for some softball questions about his imminent indictments and the investigations currently in progress. True to form, Trump spent much of the interview rambling incoherently and whining about his being persecuted by all manner of evil foes.

The Trump-fluffing Hour with Hannity was typical of how Fox News coddles Trump. Hannity made sure that every question he asked had the answer embedded in it so that Trump wouldn’t have to strain himself coming up with a plausible excuse or a believable lie. Sadly, Trump was too boneheaded to grasp Hannity’s obvious coaching (video below)

Hannity: I can’t imagine you ever saying “Bring me some of the boxes that we brought back from the White House. I’d like to look at them.” Did you ever do that?
Trump: I would have the right to do that. There’s nothing wrong with it.
Hannity: But I know you. I don’t think you would do it.
Trump: Well, I don’t have a lot of time. But I would have the right to do that. I would do that. There would be nothing wrong.

Twice Hannity tried to guide Trump into a response that simply denied that he would break the law. And twice Trump not only ignored Hannity, he explicitly contradicted him, saying that “I would do that,” meaning that he would indeed illegally take classified documents from the White House to his Mar-a-Lago home/hotel. He’s virtually confessing on national television. But he wasn’t finished incriminating himself…

Trump: Remember this. This is the Presidential Records Act. I have the right to take stuff. You know that they ended up paying Richard Nixon $18 million for what he had. They did the Presidential Records Act. I have the right to take stuff. I have the right to look at stuff.

It’s interesting that Trump chose to justify his crimes by associating himself with another disgraced Republican president, Richard Nixon. And Trump specifically cited Nixon for having allegedly exploited classified documents for profit. That’s just so Trump. Always grifting.

However, he was, as usual, completely wrong about whatever he was implying about the Presidential Records Act. It does not give him the powers that he claims. To the contrary, the PRA explicitly states that “Presidential records automatically transfer into the legal custody of the [National] Archivist as soon as the President leaves office.” But Trump is someone who thinks that he has magical powers to designate classification statuses mentally.

RELATED: HUH? Trump Told Hannity He Didn’t Pack the Mar-a-Lago Docs that He Declassified With His Mind

And yet, Trump still wasn’t done dooming his own legal case…

Trump: They have the right to talk, and we have the right to talk. This would have all been worked out. All of a sudden they raided Mar-a-Lago. Viciously raided Mar-a-Lago. I have tape. And I gave them tapes. You know I gave them tapes of storage areas. I gave it to them. I could have held that back. I wasn’t holding anything back that I cared about. I gave them tape. But you know the tape that they don’t want me to reveal? If possible – and they’ve asked me, and so far I’ve adhered to it. The raid itself.
Hannity: Wait a minute. I’ll take that tape.
Trump: I know you would. Everybody would take that tape.

Trump, of course, is lying again about being able to get this “worked out” before the allegedly “sudden” raid of Mar-a-Lago. Trump actually refused to cooperate, and he lied to the FBI (a felony) about having turned over everything. That’s why, after nearly a year of defiance and deception (hardly sudden), a subpoena was issued and a search warrant granted.

What’s more, Trump is claiming to have video tapes that he believes would exonerate him. But for some reason he prefers to allow his apparent guilt to fester in the mediasphere, so he hasn’t released them. That makes perfect sense only if you know that there aren’t any such tapes and you’re desperate to convince people that you’re innocent.

This will only get more interesting when Trump goes to trial and he’s asked to produce these phantom exculpatory tapes that he has now claimed publicly to possess. And this, along with all of the other times he’s foolishly spoken out, will make the prosecutor’s job much easier, and a conviction more likely. So Trump should continue to exercise his right to talk his way straight into prison.

Trump Warns of ‘Death and Destruction’ if He is Indicted for Crimes that He Actually Committed

Two years ago on January 6, 2021, Donald Trump incited a violent and deadly insurrection in Washington, D.C. as he urged his cult followers to assault Congress in a futile attempt to block the certification of Joe Biden’s election. Ever since he has tried pitifully to deny that here was any hostile intent. Even though he continues to portray the rioters as “patriots” and promises to pardon them if given the opportunity.

Donald Trump

Any ambiguity as to Trump’s intentions that might remain in the minds of the American people can now be thoroughly disposed of. Not that that disposition couldn’t have been done long ago. After all, Trump has been fomenting violence on regular basis for years. During the 2016 presidential campaign he offered to pay the legal expenses of any supporter who assaulted a protester at his rallies. More recently, he re-posted a comment that overtly called for “physically fight[ing]” to ensure Trump’s return to power.

RELATED: Trump Post Urges His Cult Followers to Take Up Arms and ‘Physically Fight’ for the Presidency\

Now, in a late night posting on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, Trump made it clear that he advocates violence as a response to any effort to administer justice regarding his many criminal acts. In a frenzied flurry of posts, Trump gave thinly veiled orders to his StormTrumpers in the event that he’s indicted, including this one

“What kind of person can charge another person, in this case a former President of the United States, who got more votes than any sitting President in history, and leading candidate (by far!) for the Republican Party nomination, with a Crime, when it is known by all that NO Crime has been committed, & also known that potential death & destruction in such a false charge could be catastrophic for our Country? Why & who would do such a thing? Only a degenerate psychopath that truely (sic) hates the USA!”

So Trump is endorsing the notion that there is likely to be “death and destruction” on a “catastrophic” scale, perpetrated by his cult if law enforcement dares to hold him accountable for his crimes. Notice that he doesn’t attempt to dissuade any such violence. In fact, he regards it as being justifiable considering his warped perspective that it would be triggered by a prosecutor that he deems to be a “degenerate psychopath.”

RELATED: Trump’s Raging Fear is on Vivid Display as He Hurls Infantile Insults at New York Prosecutor

Trump seems to think that having gotten some votes in the last election (although millions fewer than his opponent, President Biden) immunizes him from any prosecution. He is also posing the flagrantly false contention that “it is known by all that NO Crime has been committed.” Were that true he wouldn’t be under investigation for crimes in New York, Georgia, Florida, and Washington. This is just his way of trying to extricate himself from legal liability, because he believes that he is above the law. He even seems to think that the NYPD will shirk their duties to protect the city from his rampaging followers.

The “death and destruction” threat wasn’t the only such incitement that Trump delivered Thursday night. He also posted a comment wherein he complained that “THEY TELL US TO BE PEACEFUL!” And he maligned Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan District Attorney, as “A SOROS BACKED ANIMAL,” squeezing both racist and anti-Semitic insults into a single sentence. Then there was the post that featured a link to an article with a photo juxtaposing Trump with a baseball bat next to D.A. Bragg’s head (which Trump later deleted).

This sort of behavior is typical of a malignant narcissist who feels threatened. He is actually a better example of a “degenerate psychopath” than the prosecutor that he fears. The closer he gets to being indicted, the more extreme his reactions will be. And after what happened on January 6th, he can no longer pretend that he isn’t responsible for any bloodshed.

Fox News Hack Tucker Carlson Rants that Prosecuting Trump Would Forever End Democratic Elections

The pandering politicians and pundits propping up Donald Trump are storming the media with mendacious defenses of his criminal misconduct. Among the ludicrous arguments that they throw against the wall is that an indictment would benefit the twice-impeached, reality TV game show host. Perhaps there is some truth to that with regard to the Deplorables already indoctrinated into his cult. However, everyone else would be further repulsed by his recidivist criminality.

Fox News, Tucker Carlson, Donald Trump

If it would be such a boon to Trump, then why are so many of his glassy-eyed sycophants erupting in outrage? If they really believed that an indictment would propel him to victory, wouldn’t they be rooting for the Manhattan District Attorney, Alvin Bragg (and the New York Attorney General Leticia James, and the Georgia D.A. Fani Willis, and special counsel Jack Smith) to bring on their prosecutions? Trump himself is consumed by fear, as exhibited in the flurry of frantic posts on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social.

SEE THIS: The Desperate and Dystopian Delirium of Donald Trump as He Descends Into Drooling Dementia

Naturally, Fox News is joining the crusade to absolve Trump of any responsibility for his abhorrent crime spree. And leading the pack is, as usual, Tucker Carlson. In a tedious harangue on Monday night’s tele-sermon (video below), Carlson unleashed his typically rage-fueled brand of conservative crackpottery. The subject was reporting that Trump might be indicted soon by the Manhattan District Attorney for violating financial and campaign laws, Carlson complained that Trump was – as always – a victim of the all-powerful Democratic cabal that had stolen the election in 2020, and now is determined to – as the Trumpists say – “LOCK HIM UP!”

RELATED: Trump Can’t Imagine the NYPD Defending the City If His Indictment Triggers Riots By His Followers

Carlson’s interminably long tirade rambled aimlessly, flinging baseless and childish insults at Bragg as being funded by George Soros and looking like Al Sharpton (because to racists like Carlson, “they” all look alike). He dismissed the notion that Trump’s “hush money” payoff to adult film star, Stormy Daniels, and the subsequent cover up and obstruction of justice, was a crime at all. According to Carlson, “paying people not to talk about things, hush money, is ordinary in modern America.” And it’s hard to criticize him for that opinion considering that he got his current show on Fox News when his predecessor, Bill O’Reilly, was fired for sexual harassment, for which he and Fox paid out millions to sweep under the rug.

In summary, Carlson concluded that indicting Trump would result in the end of democracy. That’s not an exaggeration of his remarks. That’s precisely what he said…

“If the Democratic Party is allowed to do this, allowed to crush the presidential front-runner, the main threat to their power, with a bogus criminal case, where does that leave us? We’re done because that precedent will live forever and voters will never again determine the outcome of a presidential election. It’s remarkable when you think about it.”

What’s remarkable is that Carlson can pretend that he was thinking when he came up with that. First of all, an indictment of Trump would not be done by the Democratic Party. It would be done by a Grand Jury of local citizens and an elected D.A. Secondly, Carlson’s characterization of this as “a bogus Criminal Case,” is purely his biased, dishonest, and ill-informed opinion. And finally, there is no logical path from indicting a criminal like Trump, to the assertion that elections are gone forever. It makes about as much sense as saying that if you wear a hat, your dog will stop talking to you.

Carlson is being especially worshipful of Trump these days as penitence for his recently discovered sacrilege. Internal communications released by Dominion Voting Systems in the billion dollar defamation lawsuit against Fox News reveal that Carlson told his Fox colleagues that he “hates [Trump] passionately.” And in the rarified world of Trumpism, that could not be allowed without Carlson being forced to atone. So you end up with nonsense like this. But sadly, no amount of up-sucking will ever be sufficient for Trump.

The Desperate and Dystopian Delirium of Donald Trump as He Descends Into Drooling Dementia

Poor Donald Trump. No matter how furiously he pretends that he is a strong and determined fighter for the forgotten American, he continues to come off as a pathetic loser steeped in victimhood who is concerned only with his own problems. It’s a wretched display of fear and weakness that has been the hallmark of his public life.

Donald Trump Circling the Drain

Now, as the first of what will likely be many criminal indictments is about to be announced, Trump is exhibiting the brand of mental instability for which he is so well known. Following his 2016 inaugural “American Carnage” address, and his “Blood-Soaked Streets and Cesspool Cities” 2024 GOP nomination announcement, Trump is elaborating on the dark vision he has of America and its future as result of his legal troubles.

RELATED: Trump’s Attorney Admits that Trump Lied About Making Hush Money Payments to Stormy Daniels

Reacting to the imminent threat of legal peril, Trump posted another apocalyptically bleak, all-caps harangue on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, beseeching his cult followers to rise up against law and order and equal justice for all…

“[Page 1] Our nation is now third world and dying. The American dream is dead! The radical left anarchists have stolen our presidential election, and with it, the heart of our country. American patriots are being arrested and held in captivity like animals, while criminals and leftist thugs are allowed to roam the streets, killing and burning with no retribution. Millions are flooding through our open borders, many from prisons and mental institutions. Crime and inflation are destroying our very way of life.”

Page 2: Now illegal leaks from a corrupt and highly political Manhattan district attorney’s office, which has allowed new records to be set in violence crime and whose leader is funded by George Soros indicate that, with no crime being able to be proven, and based on an old and fully debunked (by numerous other prosecutors!) fairytale, the far and away leading Republican candidate and former president of the United States of America, will be arrested on Tuesday of next week. Protest, take our nation back!”

That’s not exactly the sort of uplifting oratory that a prospective presidential candidate would ordinarily deliver. It is more like the tirade of death cult leader who is preparing vats of poisoned Kool-Aid for distribution to his devotees. And true to form, wannabe messiah Trump made sure to make repeated appeals for donations to his doomsday disciples. He posted the following solicitation five times in the last 24 hours:

“If you are doing poorly, as so many of you are, do not send anything. If you are doing well, which was made possible through the great policies of the Trump Administration, send your contribution to…”

Notice that Trump is trying to have it both ways. His “great policies” have enabled his flock to give generously to his grifting operation. While simultaneously “so many” of them are still doing too poorly to contribute. As with everything in Trump’s warped mind, all goodness emanates from Trump, and all hardship is the work of his foes. Funny how it always works out that way.

RELATED: LOL: Trump Says All Presidential Candidates (Except Himself) Should Take Mental Competency Tests

UPDATE: GOP House Squeaker Kevin McCarthy and Mike Pence – who Trump nearly got killed – are defending Trump. Pence says that an indictment “reeks of the kind of political prosecution that we endured back in the days of the Russia hoax and the whole impeachment over a phone call.” And McCarthy called it “an outrageous abuse of power by a radical D.A.” But if they are all so confident of his innocence, why don’t they welcome the opportunity for him to prove it in court? Why are they assuming that a jury of his peers will convict him? Maybe because they know he’s guilty?

UPDATE II: Trump ramps up his incitement to violence with an additional post yelling that “IT’S TIME!!! WE ARE A NATION IN STEEP DECLINE, BEING LED INTO WORLD WAR III BY A CROOKED POLITICIAN WHO DOESN’T EVEN KNOW HE’S ALIVE, BUT WHO IS SURROUNDED BY EVIL & SINISTER PEOPLE […] WE JUST CAN’T ALLOW THIS ANYMORE. THEY’RE KILLING OUR NATION AS WE SIT BACK & WATCH.” This, of course, has nothing to do with “our nation.” He’s just scared witless and is ordering his cult army to rescue him by going on the attack.

Trump Court Filing Claims that the ‘Trump Organization’ Can’t Be Sued Because it Doesn’t Exist

Never let it be said that Donald Trump has reached the peak of his capacity to come up with new and more embarrassing public commentaries and legal arguments. He deserves to be acknowledged for his seemingly inexhaustible supply of preposterous pronouncements and his ability to make things worse for himself at every opportunity.

Donald Trump WTF

Last September New York Attorney General Leticia James filed a $250 million lawsuit against Trump and his company, the “Trump Organization,” for fraud related to his real estate business. The suit alleges that Trump lied about his assets in order to deceive banks and insurance companies to get more favorable terms, and to illegally avoid taxes.

SEE ALSO: Stable Genius? Trump Maniacally Attacks the Judge Presiding Over His Fraud Trial in New York

On Thursday Trump’s attorneys filed a motion in court in response to the fraud lawsuit. And true to form, Trump’s positions were legally and rationally incomprehensible. According to Business Insider, the filing stated that…

“‘Trump Organization’ is branding shorthand — not a legal entity — so it can’t be sued,’ [and that] ‘While the shorthand ‘Trump Organization’ is utilized by Defendants for branding and business purposes, no entity as such exists for legal purposes.”

First of all, if an entity exists for “branding and business purposes,” it exists for legal purposes as well. Particularly if that entity is paying taxes on assets that it owns, and is claiming, under penalty of perjury, that its representations are true and correct.

More to the point, Trump’s absurd claim that the Trump Organization doesn’t exist is irrelevant in the pending lawsuit because, as it turns out, the Trump Organization isn’t being sued:

“New York’s lawsuit names Donald Trump, Donald Trump, Jr., Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump, former company CFO Allen Weisselberg and its former payroll executive Jeffrey McConney. The lawsuit does not specifically sue anything called ‘Trump Organization,’ instead naming as defendants 11 entities under the Trump Organization umbrella.”

Presumably, Trump is not making the argument that he and his family do not exist. Therefore, they are liable for any fraud committed by them and/or whatever business entity they operate that does exist.

Trump filed two countersuits against New York AG James asserting that her legal actions against him were motivated by politics and personal animus. He has made wild and slanderous accusations against James as being racist (she is Black) and the judge as being corrupt. However, Trump recently dropped both of those suits after he and his attorneys were sanctioned for frivolous litigation and ordered to pay nearly a million dollars.

RELATED: Trump Drops Lawsuit Against NY Attorney General to Avoid More Sanctions for Frivolous Filings

It will be interesting to see if Trump extends this legal illogic to his other legal problems. Perhaps he will claim that he can’t be indicted for inciting the January 6th insurrection at the Capitol because Congress doesn’t exist. Or maybe he’ll try to evade responsibility for election interference when he threatened government officials in Georgia because Georgia doesn’t exist. Don’t laugh. This is, after all, Trump we’re talking about.

Trump Spawn Donnie Jr Accuses the Liberal Media of Suppressing the Monterey Park Mass Shooting Story

Has Donald Trump Jr been hunkered down in daddy’s Mar-a-Lago bunker for the past week? Or maybe he’s visiting Brazil to help the insurrectionists there undermine Brazilian democracy. Perhaps he’s just in a snow-blind stupor wondering if Kimberly has found his stash.

Donald Trump Jr

The horrific news about the mass shooting in Monterey Park, CA, has saturated the airwaves for days. There has been extensive analysis of the crime and possible motives. There was live coverage of the police when they found the suspect’s body in a van. There were numerous press conferences by local authorities carried live. And yet, Donnie Jr posted this…

“You think you’d hear a lot more about the mass shooting of 10 people in California… But don’t worry you won’t hear anything about it because it wasn’t done by a white conservative man with an assault rifle. Doesn’t work for the narrative so it basically never happened!”

Really? Has Lil Don become so wrapped up in his right-wing world that his eyes and ears have glazed over. The tragic shooting has been the lead story in every newspaper and on every news network since it happened.

Well, every news network except for Fox News, where they spent ten minutes this morning on the sensationalized version of the Biden documents pseudo-scandal. They featured a clip of Rep. James Comer, the GOP chair of House Oversight Committee, baselessly asserting “influence peddling” by Biden. Although, for some reason he never mentioned Donald Trump’s far worse criminal activities, hoarding hundreds of classified documents that he lied to the FBI about having.

RELATED: UH-OH: Trump Says (aka Lies) that He Has ‘INFO On Everyone’ Who Comes to Mar-a-Lago

Following the grossly prejudiced propaganda about President Biden, Fox News segued to a story about Mexican immigrants and drug cartels. It took them twenty minutes to get to any news about the mass shooting in California.

No wonder Trumpette hasn’t heard anything about the Monterey Park massacre. And it’s notable that he doesn’t seem to care either. He offers no condolences, or even thoughts and prayers. He shares that insensitivity with his father who posted a single comment about the shooting on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, that completely avoided any concerns for the victims or their families.

Instead, Trump twisted his remarks into a perverse and partisan rant about a “horrible gun wielding ANTIFA protest” in Atlanta that he pulled straight out of his asinine imagination, and a lament about the treatment of the January 6th traitors who assaulted Congress in an attempt to overthrow America’s democracy.

Naturally, DJTJr tries to make this all about white grievance with his insinuations about the shooter’s race and the motivations of the media. Of course, he has no facts to support his fictional frenzy. And the broad coverage of the story, by everyone but Fox, just proves how biased and ignorant he is.

Finally, it’s notable that he posted this foolishness on Twitter rather than daddy’s social media scam site. Clearly he is just as pessimistic about its prospects as papa Trump is.

Trump v Biden: Their Reactions to Special Counsels Reveals Who’s Innocent and Who’s Scared

Poor crybaby Trump. The self-described “most fabulous whiner” of Mar-All-Ego is starting off the new year pretty much the same way he ended the last year: Complaining petulantly that he is a victim of the hordes of enemies that are conspiring to destroy him and his aspirations of messianic sovereignty over the American motherland.

Trump Fear

The reports that President Biden was found to be in possession of a handful of classified documents have set off the alarms spinning atop the tinfoil fedoras perched on the pinheads of Republican rage-a-holics and right-wing propagandists. Of course, the same alarmists ignore the discovery of hundreds of such documents hoarded – and lied about – by Donald Trump at his Palm Beach resort/home. And never mind that the facts associated with these stories expose just how dissimilar the circumstances are.

RELATED: Trump and His GOP Toadies Furiously Spin Bogus Nothingburger Story About Biden Documents

What truly reveals the divergent realities of the Trump and Biden camps is their reactions to having become the subjects of special counsels. To the surprise of no one, Trump flicked the psycho switch as he unleashed his ferocious animosity toward special counsel Jack Smith. His distemper tantrum departed from anything resembling sanity. For instance, he posted on his pitifully floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, that…

“The Special ‘Prosecutor’ assigned to the ‘get Trump case,’ Jack Smith(?), is a Trump Hating THUG whose wife is a serial and open Trump Hater.”

[NOTE: Trump doesn’t think that Smith is a prosecutor, or that his name is Smith]

And that

“Fire a man who may very well turn out to be a criminal, Jack Smith. His conflicts, unfairness, and mental state of derangement make him totally unfit for the job of ‘getting Trump.’ Go after Biden and the Biden Crime Family instead. Like Bill Barr, the U.S. Attorneys in Delaware and Illinois are weak, ineffective, and afraid to do what must be done. The Election was RIGGED, and we are now losing our Country. We can’t let that happen. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

[NOTE: Trump appears to be seeking a special counsel who is better “fit” to investigate him. Also, he is maligning Bill Barr and the U.S. Attorneys in Delaware and Illinois (David C. Weiss and John R. Lausch Jr) as weak and ineffective. He appointed all three of them]

And that

“Merrick Garland has to immediately end Special Counsel investigation into anything related to me because I did everything right, and appoint a Special Counsel to investigate Joe Biden who hates Biden as much as Jack Smith hates me.”

[NOTE: Robert Hur, the special counsel appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland to probe the Biden matter, was also appointed by Trump to be the U.S. Attorney of Maryland]

In Trump’s delirium he is being pursued by an “unfair,” “deranged,’ “criminal,’ “THUG,” whose whole family hates him. Clearly Trump is scared witless, and is suffering from a toxic mixture of paranoia and guilt. Despite his psychotic inability to admit it – even to himself – he knows what he did and what the consequences are.

For comparison, observe how Biden responded to the news that AG Garland had named a special counsel to investigate his documents “scandal.”

“People know I take classified documents, classified material seriously. I also said we are cooperating fully and completely with the Justice Department’s review. […] As was done in the case of the Biden Penn Center, the Department of Justice was immediately notified and the lawyers arranged for the Department of Justice to take possession of the documents.”

The reactions by Trump and Biden reflect the stark differences between the two. Biden is calm and respectful of the law. Trump is rattled and contemptuous of the law and even those he appointed to administer it.

For good measure, Trump’s Ministry of Propaganda (aka Fox News) predictably weighed in on his side. Fox host Mark Levin ranted that…

“Garland wanted to keep this thing hidden. He wanted to sweep it under the rug until it got hot. The Republicans were calling hearings. They were gonna call witnesses. And then Garland, reluctantly, today appoints a special counsel. And who does he appoint? He appoints the right hand man to FBI director Christopher Wray. That’s hardly the same kind of special counsel that Donald Trump is facing. This whole thing stinks to high heaven.”

So Levin is asserting that Garland appointed a special counsel for Biden because he wanted to “keep this thing hidden”? That’s a strange way to pursue that goal. Levin also baselessly claims that Garland “reluctantly,” appointed the special counsel. And Levin closes by complaining that the special counsel must be biased against Trump because he once worked for FBI director Christopher Wray. Once again, Mr. Hur was appointed by Trump, and so was Mr. Wray.

The confidence and tranquility of Biden, as contrasted by the fear and hostility exhibited by Trump, the Republican Party, Fox News, and the rest of the right-wing wacko-chamber, tells you all you need to know about the players in this melodrama. And just to seal the deal, Trump also posted a comment that may be the truest thing he ever said…

“Importantly, I have single-handedly shown the American Public how Crooked and Corrupt our Government is.”

It’s uncomfortably impossible to argue with Trump about that.

HUH? Trump Says the January 6th Committee, that Issued Criminal Referrals, Thinks He’s Innocent

The debate over whether Donald Trump is acutely delusional or merely a pathological liar rages on. However, there is no question that he continues to disseminate utter nonsense that bares little to no resemblance to reality.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump

In a post on his pitifully floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, Trump engaged in some more of his tedious and petulant whining about the House Select Committee that investigated the January 6th insurrection he incited. Clearly Trump is rattled by the Committee’s findings after a year and half of hearings that uncovered abundant evidence of his guilt.

RELATED: Trump Responds to the January 6th Committee Report By Flagrantly Lying About What it Says

True to form, Trump’s criticism was wholly devoid of factual substance or even a smidgen of the maturity one might expect from a septuagenarian political figure. He seethed that he…

“Was just advised that the Unselect Committee of political Thugs has withdrawn the Subpoena of me concerning the January 6th Protest of the CROOKED 2020 Presidential Election. They probably did so because they knew I did nothing wrong, or they were about to lose in Court. Perhaps the FBI’s involvement in RIGGING the Election played into their decision. In any event, the Subpoena is DEAD!”

Trump is still reverting to elementary school nicknames, calling the Committee “Unselect.” And he is dismissing the grave consequences of the deadly riots by referring to them as a “protest.”

More dementedly, Trump thinks that, because the Committee waived the subpoena for his testimony, they believe that he “did nothing wrong.” This is after they issued four criminal referrals to the Department of Justice for inciting the insurrection, obstruction of justice, conspiracy to defraud the U.S., and conspiracy to make a false statement. The incitement charge alone could result in prohibiting Trump from holding any federal or state office in the future.

Trump is also suffering under the delusion that the Committee dropping the subpoena request indicated that they were afraid that they were about to lose in court. The truth is that the Committee has completed its work. They will be disbanded in few days as the next session of Congress begins. They have already published their final report. Consequently, there is no further need for Trump’s testimony, which if the past is any indication, would have been filled with either lies or pleadings of the Fifth Amendment to avoid incriminating himself.

RELATED: Snowflake Trump Pleads the Fifth Amendment, So Let’s Break Down His Desperately Deranged Reasons

Trump actually knows all of this. The Committee chair, Bennie Thompson, sent a letter to Trump’s attorney spelling out the circumstances of the subpoena withdrawal. He wrote that…

“As you may know, the Select Committee has concluded its hearings, released its final report and will very soon soon reach its end. In light of the imminent end of our investigation, the Select Committee can no longer pursue the specific information covered by the subpoena.

“Therefore, through this letter, I hereby formally withdraw the subpoena issued to former President Trump, and notify you that he is no longer obligated to comply or produce records in response to said subpoena.”

Trump’s attorney, Harmeet Dhillon (who is also running to replace Ronna McDaniel as chair of the Republican National Committee), badly misunderstood the letter, claiming falsely that “the committee waved the white flag & withdrew subpoena.” The Committee had already won. Legally, they had all the evidence needed to prove the charges against Trump. And Trump wasn’t going to provide anything else of value. Plus, the Justice Department, and the Special Counsel, Jack Smith, have greater power to compel testimony and document production.

Nevertheless, Trump lives in his fantasy world, or the world of his dishonest contrivances designed to gaslight his cult followers. And that’s enough for him. Which is convenient because surely no one else believes any of his pathetic bullpucky.

Crybaby Trump Throws a Tantrum in Response to the House Select Committee’s Criminal Referrals

It was a long time coming, but the House Select Committee investigating Donald Trump for inciting an insurrection on January 6, 2021, has finally completed its work. And the first order of business was to issue criminal referrals to the Justice Department for Trump’s well documented crimes.

Donald Trump

The Committee is recommending that charges be brought against Trump for obstruction of an official proceeding, conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to make a false statement, and incitement, rebellion or insurrection. It’s a historic and unprecedented action taken in response to the historic and unprecedented acts of a rogue president. And Trump predictably lashed out at the Committee (that he was too chicken to testify before) with all the determination of a bratty six year old denied a toy that he wanted. On his pitifully floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, Trump said that…

“The Fake charges made by the highly partisan Unselect Committee of January 6th have already been submitted, prosecuted, and tried in the form of Impeachment Hoax # 2. I WON convincingly. Double Jeopardy anyone!”

There’s a surprisingly large amount of bullshittery in that brief statement. Let’s explore it…

  1. The charges are not “fake.” They are very real and histoically profound.
  2. The Committee was not “highly partisan.” There were two conservative Republicans on the panel.
  3. It was a Select Committee, not as Trump calls it in his infantile manner, the “Unselect Committee.”
  4. The charges have never been “submitted, prosecuted, and tried” before in any court.
  5. Trump survived conviction, but he cannot by any stretch of the imagination honestly say that he “WON convincingly.”
  6. A congressional impeachment is not the same as a court trial and thus there was no “Double Jeopardy.”

Poor Donald Trump is struggling desperately to absolve himself of his obvious guilt with a pathetically ignorant comment that totally avoids facts and rational analysis. He wishes the charges were “fake” so that he could go on pretending that there is no imminent legal peril in his near future. And no matter how much he tries, he can’t shake the fact that the Congress of the United States has found that there is sufficient evidence to prosecute him for multiple crimes.

Consequently, Trump fires up his imagination to create a false recollection of what has taken place since the insurrection that he incited. Contrary to his lies, the House voted to impeach Trump by a 232–197 vote, with all 222 Democrats voting to impeach, joined by ten Republicans. In the Senate Trump survived due to the two-thirds requirement for conviction. The final vote was a majority of 57 guilty to 43 not guilty, including seven Republicans, but short of the two-thirds threshold.

Failing to make a coherent legal case for his innocence, Trump took a detour to rely on the devotion of his cult followers, as if that has any relevance under the law. And he repeated another couple of lies that he has been telling for nearly two years, saying that…

“These folks don’t get it that when they come after me, people who love freedom rally around me. It strengthens me. What doesn’t kill me makes me stronger. Americans know that I pushed for 20,000 troops to prevent violence on Jan 6, and that I went on television and told everyone to go home.”

Not exactly. Setting aside the overt threat in Trump’s comment, the truth is that Americans know that he never pushed for any troops on January 6th to protect the Capitol – from his own supporters. That doesn’t even make sense unless he expected his cult followers to riot. And he didn’t go on TV for almost three hours after the assault was in progress and many people, including law enforcement, were injured. When he did make a statement, he told the rioters that he loved them.

SEE THIS: Trump’s Lame Address to His Terrorist Coup Plotters: “Go Home, We love you.”

Furthermore, Trump is still showing support for the traitors who stormed Congress, promising to halt their prosecutions or pardon them, if he returns to the White House.

Trump posted several other comments on his website that were equally riddled with flagrant falsehoods and devoid of any substance. He raged about “Radical Left Democrats (Communists),” and non-existent election fraud, and “the Massive number of CRIMES committed by JOE & HUNTER BIDEN” that reside only in his twisted mind.

Trump also posted a video clip of Nazis being sentenced from the film “Nuremberg” with Alec Baldwin. But somehow he didn’t get that most Americans will associate Hitler’s henchmen in the clip with him and his cadre of traitors. That’s how oblivious he is to reality in his current state of derangement.

Mealy Mike Pence Tells Fox News that He is Against Indicting Trump – Who Nearly Got Him Hanged

After months of hearings, with evidence provided by hundreds of (mostly Republican) witnesses and millions of documents, the House Select Committee investigating the January 6th insurrection that Donald Trump incited is preparing to release their final report.

Donald Trump, Mike Pence, Hanging

Along with that report, the Committee is also issuing criminal referrals to the Justice Department for a cadre of Trump cohorts, as well as for Trump himself. The charges include Trump’s role inciting and/or assisting the insurrection, obstruction of official Congressional proceedings, and conspiracy to defraud the United States. In anticipation of the Committee’s conclusions, a frightened Trump has been acting out in his typically infantile, and ultimately impotent, fashion.

On Monday morning Trump’s former vice-president and certified toady, Mike Pence, visited Fox News for another softball interview. In this outing Pence affirmed his allegiance to his former boss whose response to the insurrection contributed to the mob’s hostilities and their fevered chants to “Hang Mike Pence.” As an expression of his gratitude for nearly getting him killed, Pence told Fox News that “Few Americans are paying attention” to this Committee. He then elaborated on his opinion that Trump should be allowed to get away with his treasonous crimes…

“I would hope that [the Justice Department] would not bring charges against the former president. I think the president’s actions and words on January 6 were reckless, but I don’t know that it’s criminal to take bad advice from lawyers and so I hope the Justice Department is careful.”

Actually, Pence, who practiced law before his political career, does know that it absolutely can be criminal to take bad advice from lawyers. If your lawyer advises you to commit a crime – say rob a bank or lie under oath or incite a riot – and you take that advice, you are definitely criminally liable. And so, by the way, is your lawyer.

Even Fox News co-host Dana Perino shot back at Pence’s reference to Trump’s shady lawyers saying that “There might be criminal referrals on that too.” She was referring to reports that criminal referrals are likely to be issued for Trump-associated attorneys John Eastman, Jeff Clark, and Rudy Giuliani. Pence then continued saying that…

“I hope the Justice Department understands the magnitude, the very idea of indicting a former president of the United States. I think that would be terribly divisive in the country at a time when the American people want to see us heal.”

Pence doesn’t have to worry about whether the Justice Department “understands the magnitude” of indicting a former president. It’s obvious that they do. However, he might want to pay more attention to the magnitude of a former president trying to undermine democracy and overthrow the government.

He may also want to consider the necessity of holding such criminals accountable, not just to punish their unlawful acts, but in order to deter others from committing similar acts in the future. Trump is already advocating absolution for his insurrectionist hordes.

What’s more, Pence is misinterpreting – or more likely lying about – the American people’s desire to “heal.” They surely do. But a majority of them favor prosecuting Trump as the path to that healing.

For his part, Trump is behaving precisely as would be expected of a self-serving, narcissistic, wannabe dictator. He posted on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, that…

“Republicans and Patriots all over the land must stand strong and united against the Thugs and Scoundrels of the Unselect Committee. It will be a dark period in American history, but with darkness comes light!!!”

The darkest period of modern American history has already passed. It ended when Trump was evicted by the American people from his occupation of the White House. The light emerged with the election of President Biden. But sadly, Trump continues to cast his corpulent shadow over the nation. And the only remedy for that is the for the law to be finally and fully enforced without fear or favor. Whether Pence wants it or not.
