Alex Jones Joins Trump and Fox News in Exalting Putin for Becoming More … Christian?

It takes real chutzpah for Alex Jones to continue to present himself to the public after having been ordered to pay nearly $50 million to some of the families of the children murdered in the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre that he said never happened. He accused the families – even the children – of lying and faking the whole thing. Another trial is currently in progress on behalf of more victims’ families.

Fox News, Tucker Carlson, Alex Jones

Undaunted by anything resembling decency, Jones went on Steve Bannon’s podcast to resume spinning his fear and hate mongering conspiracy theories. During this episode Jones aligned himself with Donald Trump’s twisted Republican Party and his Ministry of Disinformation, Fox News. Their embrace of the barbaric dictator, Vladimir Putin, is one of the most reprehensible political confederations since the Nazi-supporting “America First” contingent in the 1930s.

RELATED: Trump’s ‘Solution’ to the War in Ukraine is to Appease Russia and Quash Any Criticism of Putin

Jones was appalled that Democrats have a negative opinion of such a virtuous sweetheart like Putin. He couldn’t seem to grasp why anyone would dislike the man who is currently slaughtering hundreds of innocent Ukrainian civilians in an egomaniacal attempt to illegally annex portions of that country. Jones ranted…

“Do you leftists really want to destroy the world in a nuclear fire because you have a fetish for hating Russians and Putin because they’ve become a little bit more Christian? Again, they don’t hate Russia because they’re the former Soviet Union. The Left hates Russia because they’re becoming more like the American Midwest. They’re becoming more conservative. They’re against transgenderism and teaching five year olds about sex and all the rest of this. So that’s why Hollywood and the Rob Reiners of the world literally have a fetish for destroying Russia.”

There’s a lot of putrid crackpottery to unpack there. Let’s begin with Jones’ preposterous assertion that it’s leftists who are threatening nuclear war. That was Putin’s idea. Apparently Jones thinks that Democrats are at fault because they aren’t cowering under Putin’s threat, as Jones would prefer America to do.

Jones then lauds the piety of Putin. He regards Trump’s pal Vladimir as a saintly figure who exemplifies the American ideal of Christianity. Never mind that he just happens to be engaging in heinous war crimes by murdering men, women, and children, because Ukraine won’t surrender their sovereignty to his tyrannical imperialism.

Like Trump and Fox News, Jones Favors Putin over American patriots who believe in freedom and democracy. The right’s perverse interpretation of Christianity veers off more toward totalitarianism and religious oppression and cult worship.

Yet that’s the dominant viewpoint of faith among the right-wing in America today. They have utterly abandoned the principles of both Christianity and the Constitution. And they aren’t the least bit shy about expressing these depraved ideas, or foisting their deranged doctrine on everyone else.

Crybaby Trump Bares His Ultra-Thin Skin in Tantrum Against Late Night Comedy Shows

Poor Donald Trump has suffered long from the trials and tribulations of being a malignant narcissist. His inability to cope with trifling jokes at his rather modest expense has been one of his most pronounced personality disorders. By some estimations, it is the reason he chose to enter politics, following jabs by Seth Meyers at the White House Correspondents Dinner (WHCD) (Video below).

Click here to Tweet this article

Stephen Colbert & Trump Baby

During Trump’s occupation of the white House, he refused to attend the charity dinner all four years. That’s because he’s too big a baby to sit through a program where he might be the butt of a few jokes. Which is funny because he doesn’t seem otherwise opposed to being or having a big butt. Last year, for the first time in six years (it was postponed twice due to COVID), the dinner was attended by the President of the United States, Joe Biden. Trevor Noah was the featured comedian, and he didn’t shy away from Trump jokes.

NOR DID BIDEN: The Condensed White House Correspondent’s Dinner Remarks About Fox News and Crybaby Trump

On Monday morning, Trump took time away from his brooding and whining about having lost the 2020 election to complain again about the state of comedy in America. In a post on his floundering social media scam, Truth Social, Trump linked to an article on Fox News that roasted late night comedy as a declining format, which Fox blamed on the hosts mocking Trump. He wrote that…

“It was my great honor to have destroyed the ratings of Late Night “Comedy” shows. There is nothing funny about the shows, the three hosts have very little talent, and when Jimmy Fallon apologized for having humanized “Trump,” and his ratings soared, the Radical Left forced him to apologize—that was effectively the end of The Tonight Show. In any event, congratulations to Greg Gutfield!”

Once again, Trump is attempting to take credit for something that he had nothing to do with. He’s also assuming incorrectly that anyone regards his analysis of comedy as having any merit or insight. What’s more, the article he links to is profoundly lacking in any grasp of the TV business or program performance.

In order to make their argument work, Fox compared the current ratings of the late night shows hosted by Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, and Jimmy Kimmel, to their ratings – not last year – but six years ago, before Trump took office. That’s a long time in TV land. Fox completely ignored the fact that the television landscape had changed significantly during that time frame, with the advent of streaming and other methods of time-shifting. That’s what had the biggest impact on ratings. And it was an impact that occurred across every part of the TV schedule.

The article asserts instead that the ratings decline was due to the abundance of Trump jokes. However, it contradicts its own premise by noting that Colbert and Kimmel substantially increased their ratings when they told more jokes about Trump. Fallon, on the other hand, lost viewers with his less political style.

The Fox News article also took this opportunity to promote their own show with right-wing pseudo-comic, Greg Gutfeld. But it is deliberately dishonest to compare his ratings to the network late night shows. Those shows are shown at 11:30pm local time (tape delayed) across the country. Fox News airs Gutfeld at 11:00pm Eastern time nationwide. That means that Gutfeld is on at 8:00pm in Pacific time, 9:00pm Central, etc. Therefore, most of the nation sees Gutfeld in prime time when there are more people watching television. So when the article brags that Gutfeld’s 2.2 million viewers edged out Colbert’s 2.1 million, it’s missing the fact that Colbert actually drew a much higher percentage of the available audience.

Throughout the article Fox accuses the late night hosts of delivering Democratic talking points. But they never offer a single example to support that charge. If Fox has a problem with the leftward slant of the humor by these hosts, then their real problem is that, as Colbert once noted (at the WHCD in 2006), “Reality has a well known liberal bias.”

The article also ignores its own brazenly partisan perspective. The only quotes the author bothered to include were exclusively from washed up conservative “comedians” (Jimmy Failla, Tim Young, Joe Piscopo, Rob Schneider). There was no effort to get any statements from the shows that the author was maligning, their hosts, or their networks.

That won’t surprise anyone who is familiar with the purposeful dishonesty of Fox News. And it’s affirmation of the popular meme that has circulate for many years that says “I get my news from Comedy Central and my comedy from Fox News.”

Trump’s Fear Mongering Lies About ‘Streets Drenched in Blood’ Reach New Depths of Depravity

The desperation of Donald Trump and his warped revision of the Republican Party becomes more evident with each passing day. The upcoming midterm elections, which were once predicted to be highly favorable to the GOP, now appear to be trending more to the Democrats than anyone thought possible.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump, Woman, Fear

Consequently, Trump is stepping up his cult rally schedule, as well as his rancid rhetoric. While crime has been an issue that Republicans have long sought to exploit, Trump’s take on it diverts farther from reality than any prior rendering. In Trump World America is a vortex of perpetual violence that threatens every man, woman, and child, twenty-fours a day. No, really. He told his Deplorables at his latest traveling salvation show that…

“If we are going to make America great again, we have to make America safe again. It’s the only way. You can’t walk down a street in a Democrat-run city without being shot or mugged or knifed. Under Steve Sisolak, your crime-loving governor, and the radical left Democrats, the streets of our once great cities are drenched in the blood of innocent victims. That’s what’s happening in all of these Democrat-run cities. And I would say just about all of them.”

First of all, nearly all large cities in the U.S. are “Democrat-run” cities. That’s because most people appreciate honesty and intelligence, and policies that benefit working people that grow the economy from the middle, out. So Trump is saying, in effect, that the majority of the American people can’t walk down a street without being slaughtered by a homicidal maniac. Which is, of course, preposterous. But it serves Trump’s purpose to frighten people into holing up in their basements and shooting at anything that moves outside.

What’s more, Trump accuses Democrats of being “crime-loving” civic leaders. Which is ironic coming from someone who is currently being investigated for multiple federal, state, and civil crimes- far more than any other president or high-ranking public official.

RELATED: LOL: Sean Hannity Thinks He’s Helping Trump By Scrolling a Long List of His Crimes on Fox News

More to the point, Trump is, as usual, wrong. Studies show that crime is actually higher per capita in Republican areas. One such study by the centrist Third Way organization found that…

“Murder rates are actually higher in Republican, Trump-voting states that haven’t even flirted with ideas like defund the police. Eight of the ten most lawless, high-murder states are not only Trump-voting states, but GOP bastions for the last quarter of a century. A more accurate conclusion from the data is that Republicans do a far better job blaming others for high murder rates than actually reducing high murder rates.”

Furthermore, the study found that even cities run by Republicans often had worse crime rates than comparable cities run by Democrats. In one amusing example they found that…

“Jacksonville, a city with a Republican mayor, had 128 more murders in 2020 than San Francisco, a city with a Democrat mayor, despite their comparable populations. In fact, the homicide rate in Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s San Francisco was half that of House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy’s Bakersfield, a city with a Republican mayor that overwhelmingly voted for Trump.”

Don’t expect to hear Trump or any other republican acknowledge these facts. And don’t expect to see any of them on Fox News. Because Trump and the GOP, and the propagandists at Fox, are too fixated on spreading lies intended to scare the bejeebers out of everyone within earshot. It’s the only thing they have left since fully adopting the lunacy of QAnon and abandoning the real world that the rest of us inhabit.

James Carville Whales on CNN’s GOP Pundit and Republicans Who Worship Putin

One of the most bizarre perversions of rational policy making in the era of Donald Trump has been the embrace by Trump, and his tainted Republican Party, of Russia and its murderous dictator, Vladimir Putin. From the outset of Trump’s occupation of the White House he was taking Putin’s side against the U.S.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump Vladimir Putin

The reasons for Trump’s reverence of Putin likely include his feelings of indebtedness for Putin’s helping him to win the 2016 election, and his craving for the sort of financial rewards that Putin could lavish upon him during and after his term in office.

That’s what accounts for Trump telling the world that he believed Putin over his own American intelligence agencies about Russian interference in U.S. elections. It would also account for Trump serving Russia’s geopolitical interests by attacking and weakening NATO, scrapping the Iran nuclear pact, and supporting Brexit and the dissolution of the E.U. And then there is also Trump’s constant praise for Putin as a “strong leader” and a “genius,” while he maligned the U.S. and President Biden.

RELATED: Trump’s ‘Solution’ to the War in Ukraine is to Appease Russia and Quash Any Criticism of Putin

On Saturday one of CNN’s Republican pundits, Scott Jennings, was asked about the recent announcement by OPEC that they intended to cut oil production in order to increase the price. Jennings responded by predictably blaming it on Biden and, just like Trump, accusing him of being weak. Whereupon, CNN’s liberal analyst James Carville laid into him with some logic and actual facts…

“You know who doesn’t think Biden is weak? Vladimir Putin. The Republican hero of the United States. The man that the Republican Party worships is getting the crap kicked out of him right now with U.S. Support and a Joe Biden-led coalition. If they want to love the Saudis that’s their business. The United States is making a successful stand in what, in my opinion, is the most successful foreign policy initiative since World War II.”

Indeed, Ukraine is executing a successful defense against the invasion by Russia. They have repelled Russian forces and they are retaking regions that Russia had occupied. And the military assistance from the U.S. and other allies has been critical to that success. That assistance has been opposed by Trump and many Republicans who criticize Biden for providing it. Biden’s critics must be even more troubled because it is working so well.

In the meantime, Trump is still siding with Putin and making preposterous claims that Russia would never have invaded Ukraine if he were still president. Although, that could be seen as true if you acknowledge that Russia wouldn’t have needed to invade because Trump would have handed Putin everything he wanted to annex the entire country.

Even worse, Trump is now claiming that the U.S. is responsible for the Russian invasion of Ukraine. His “Blame America First” theory is that the U.S. “taunted” Putin into invading:

The fact that Republicans have adopted Trump’s pro-Russia positions and his traitorous affinity for Putin tells us that the GOP is now a party wallowing in the cultism of Trump. They can no longer be depended on to pursue the interests of the U.S. And the cult disciples that are following Trump and his disfigured GOP (Grovelers Over Putin) are likewise lost to Trump’s anti-democratic aspirations for a Putin-style dictatorship.

This makes the upcoming midterm election more important than any in decades. So be sure to vote, and to get as many democracy-loving patriots as you can to vote with you. Because if Republicans manage to eke out a victory, it may be the last time you get to vote in free election.

Fox News Hires Trump Shill Kellyanne Conway, the Original Alternative Facts Dispenser

From the beginning of Donald Trump’s political misadventures, Fox News has been his de facto Ministry of Propaganda. This was true throughout his first campaign in 2016, when Fox News aired his every speech and rally in full without interruption. It was true throughout his occupation of the White House. And it remains true since his decisive loss to President Biden in 2020 that he still refuses to concede.

Click here to Tweet this article

Kellyanne Conway, Fox News

For more than six years Fox News has spent half of their airtime fawning over Trump. The other half was spent attacking his Democratic opponents and policies, and inventing fake scandals. So no one should be surprised that the ultra-rightist network is now bolstering their roster of Trump-fluffers by hiring his former White House Counselor, Kellyanne Conway.

RELATED: Battle of the Goliaths of Gaslighting: Trump Calls Kellyanne Conway a Liar – and Vice Versa

Conway, you may recall, coined the phrase “alternative facts” when while trying to make excuses for another in a long line of Trump lies. It was a milestone moment in the media for a White House official to essentially admit that the president was making stuff up. And that performance has now earned Conway a paid position at Fox News.

Conway is joining some of her former White House colleagues and Trump groupies at Fox. They include Trump’s former press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, who is now a co-host of “Outnumbered;” Larry Kudlow, who has own show on Fox Business; former Justice Department spokesperson, Kerri Kupec, who is Fox’s Washington, D.C. editor; Trump’s ex-Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, as a contributor.

The most glaringly unseemly recruitment is that of Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, wife of Eric. It’s bad enough that Fox News stuffs its schedule with Trump’s political associates, but bringing on his family to give her view of him and his political aspirations is about as twisted as any media enterprise can get. Republicans complained about Chris Cuomo hosting a program on CNN, but for most of that time he wasn’t covering his brother, Andrew, the governor of New York. After he started covering him, CNN fired him.

Conway is off to great start on Fox News. For instance, she maligned Democrats as being opposed to religion. According to Conway, voters…

“…see a Democratic Party that’s openly hostile to religion these days. They can’t even give their thoughts and prayers when there’s a tragedy. It’s only thoughts now.”

Most Democrats are, in fact, religious. Republicans, meanwhile, profess to be pious while supporting heretics like Trump who violate Christian principles such adultery, lying, and caring for the poor, the sick, and immigrants. And then there was this…

“The Democrats want this election to be about climate change. You heard the foolishness of the President today who somehow got bamboozled into standing next to Ron and Casey Desantis. Boy, that’s a problem for Joe Biden.”

Conway thinks that Democrats are hurting themselves by taking action to mitigate climate change. However, most Americans support the Democratic position on this issue. What’s more, Biden doesn’t have a “problem” because of his appearance with DeSantis. In fact, he campaigned on a platform of unity. It’s Republicans who condemn their own when they show even the slightest bit of collegiality with Democrats. And then there was this

“Whether it is student loan forgiveness or pardoning marijuana possession convictions, a bereft Biden tries hard to change the subject and get people who dislike him to dislike him a little bit less.”

To be clear, what Conway is objecting to here is that Biden is doing precisely what the majority of the American people want him to do. He is fulfilling his campaign promises. Since when is it a political liability to seek approval from the people you are there to serve?

RELATED: Lara Trump Admits on Fox News that Her Sugardaddy-In-Law Interfered with Justice Dept Business

Those are just a few examples of the wit and wisdom that Conway was enlisted to provide. And from Fox’s perspective, she is already earning her pay. She is delivering on the Fox News mission of blatantly right-wing, partisan disinformation. It’s what Fox News was created for. So don’t be surprised when they hire Steve Bannon or Don Jr to anchor their nightly news.

Stephen Colbert Takes Dr. Fauci to Get His COVID Booster Shot – Or Per Fox News: Govt Propaganda

Whether or not COVID-19 is still technically a pandemic, rather than just an endemic virus such as the flu, is an open and debatable question. What is not open for debate is the fact that the virus is still with us and is still infecting tens of thousands – and killing hundreds – of Americans everyday.

Click here to Tweet this article

Fox News, Covid

This month a new vaccine became available that adds explicit protection from the most prominent new variants of the coronavirus. The vaccines effectiveness in preventing serious illness or death is well documented. And studies show that hundreds of thousands of fatalities can be avoided if people get vaccinated. CNN is reporting that “A new analysis suggests that if more people in the United States get their booster by the end of the year, about 90,000 Covid-19 deaths could be prevented this fall and winter.”

To that end, Dr. Anthony Fauci appeared on “The Late Show” with Stephen Colbert to discuss the benefits of the vaccine and promote its uptake. But he was surprised when Colbert invited him to go down the street and get himself vaccinated, as he had just become eligible. Watch as Colbert accompanies Dr. Fauci to his local pharmacy for some late night healthcare…

While Colbert is keeping his audience entertained and informed about critical health matters, Fox News is continuing their campaign to keep their viewers uninformed, and even worse, misinformed. Their report on Colbert’s trip with Dr. Fauci to get vaccinated was covered in a segment they framed as “Colbert Still Dishing Out Govt Propaganda.”

The gist of Fox’s message was that vaccines are unnecessary, possibly a hoax, and probably harmful. They are, once again, putting the lives of their own viewers at risk. Seniors are the group most vulnerable to sever symptoms and consequences from COVID. And the median age of Fox News viewers is 68.

The effect that Fox News has on their audience is measurable in grief. Studies show that “counties with a Republican majority had a greater share of Covid deaths through October 2021, relative to majority-Democratic counties,” and that “vaccine hesitancy among Republicans may be the biggest culprit.”

The callous and self-serving irresponsibility of how Fox News is deceiving people about the pandemic for purely political purposes is reprehensible. And they don’t seem to be the least bit concerned that the people that they hurting most are their own viewers. To Fox News, disseminating propaganda that advances their ultra-rightist views is more important than human lives. And yet, it’s Fox who accuse Colbert of “Dishing Out Govt Propaganda,” that is actually honest information that could save lives. Now, if only their were a vaccine for Fox News.

Devin Nunes Exalts the Failing Truth Social as ‘The Most Important Creation in Trump’s Career’

Throughout Donald Trump’s career he has embellished his personal and business “achievements” to the point that they bore no resemblance whatsoever to reality. Trump only speaks in hyperbole, claiming that everything he undertakes is the greatest success ever known to mankind. And conversely, any criticism or failure is the worst smear campaign. That’s partly why he was recently indicted for fraud by the Attorney General of New York in a case that documents his crooked business practices.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump, Devin Nunes

Among Trump’s most prominent recent business debacles is his Twitter ripoff, Truth Social. From the day it was launched it was mired in the sort of mayhem that can only be produced by incompetence. It repeatedly crashed. Users couldn’t log in. Fake accounts were rampant. And financially the shell company it partnered with suffered an 80% decline in stock value over the past seven months. Its investors are backing out.

So this seemed like a good time for the CEO, Devin Nunes, to appear on a right-wing podcast to tout how absolutely marvelous this scam operation is:

“Can you imagine where we would be had Donald Trump not went out and created Truth Social? We would be in a very, very dark spot. And it is very possible that, maybe, just maybe the most important creation in Donald Trump’s whole career will be the creation of Truth Social. And I don’t say that lightly. As you know, John and Amanda, I believe that to my core. It’s why I left Congress to go and do this.”

Can you imagine? It requires a pretty twisted imagination to perceive the “very, very dark spot” that Nunes is describing. Likewise, the ability to contrive a fantasy that Truth Social is “important” seems more than bit far fetched.

That said, Truth Social very well could be “the most important creation in Donald Trump’s whole career,” considering the vast landscape of failure that that encompasses. Trump has multiple business bankruptcies. His “university” was shut down, and he was ordered to pay $25 million in restitution. His charitable foundation was also shuttered, and he and his family prohibited from operating a charity in New York for five years. Numerous buildings that he had licensed his name to have removed his any remnant of that association.

In light of that record of wreckage, Truth Social might look good. Although, it hasn’t exactly prospered. Here is a brief summation of the website’s troubles…

Trump’s Twitter Ripoff (TRUTH Social) Has Lost 36% of its Value Since He Began Posting On It
“Apparently Trump’s dimwit-icisms didn’t do much to boost interest in this debacle. Not that it was especially prosperous before. It has declined by more than 80% since its high mark last October. And the reasons are pretty obvious. […] with Trump posting his tedious whines about having lost the 2020 presidential election, and his infantile insults directed at anyone who is less than worshipful, how could anyone stay interested for long?”

Trump’s Truth Social Owes its Web Hosting Service Millions and Hasn’t Made a Payment in Months
“In October, RightForge announced it entered into an agreement to host Truth Social, [but that] Truth Social has made just three payments and ceased making any payments since around March. RightForge claims that Truth Social owes it around $1.6 million and is threatening legal action.”

Trump Posts Hysterical Lie that ‘Everyone is Watching’ His Failing Twitter Ripoff, Truth Social
“…they say that I put my message out on Truth Social, a ‘little-used’ site with ‘few’ people watching. More Fake News. They know it’s now one of the hottest sites in the world.”

Trump’s TRUTH Social Twitter Ripoff Suffers Another Setback Due to His Criminal Corruption
“The ‘federal investigations’ to which this notice refers includes a Grand Jury in New York, for which all of DWAC’s board members have been subpoenaed. At the same time the Securities and Exchange Commission is investigating whether TMTG and DWAC executives improperly coordinated with each other and engaged in insider trading.”

Trump Rants Hysterically as His PRAVDA Social Bans Users Who Post the Truth About January 6th
“Trump’s Twitter copycat claiming it is ‘free from political discrimination,’ has reportedly banned users who posted information from Thursday’s congressional hearing on the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.”

That’s what Nunes regards “the most important creation in Donald Trump’s whole career”? Unfortunately for Nunes and Trump, it’s only going to get worse. The deal to take it public is falling apart. The financing to capitalize it will be gone when it does. It can never compete with Twitter or other social media sites.

As for Trump, he has sworn that he will never return to Twitter, even if Elon Musk’s teetering bid to buy it happens to go through. Which would be a risky bet. That would leave Trump yelling into the void where only his most devoted cult followers reside. Which would be a great relief to the rest of the nation – and world – that is sick to death of his petulant whining.

Newt Gingrich on Fox News: Vote For Herschel Walker, a Christian Zealot Who’s Had Many Concussions

With five weeks left until the 2022 midterm election, Republicans are turning up the heat on their repugnant campaign rhetoric. They know they are burdened with a roster of embarrassing candidates who represent the fringiest wing of the Trump GOP. And yet, they are standing behind them because they have a complete dearth of principles in their quest for power.

Click here to Tweet this article

Newt Gingrich, Donald Trump

Topping the list of wingnuts is the GOP’s candidate for Senate in Georgia, Herschel Walker. From the start of his campaign he has proved to be utterly incapable of articulating a coherent policy. Even worse, he has been brazenly dishonest about his past. He’s lied about his education, his work with law enforcement, and his family. The only thing he’s gotten right is that he used to play football. Which is not a relevant skill in preparation for a seat in the Senate.

Walker’s response to the many scandals that have erupted in his campaign usually hinges on his devotion to his faith. It’s an argument that he somehow thinks absolves him of any responsibility for his adultery, his threatening to kill his wife and kids, his absentee fatherhood of four children with four different women, and his shameless lying about all of that and more.

On Tuesday’s episode of Sean Hannity’s program on Fox News, Newt Gingrich was invited to make excuses for Walker’s wrongdoings. And it was just the sort of spectacular mess that Gingrich is known for.

RELATED: Newt Gingrich Visits Fox News to Peddle the Overtly Racist ‘White Replacement Theory’

Gingrich told Hannity that…

“I’ve known Herschel a good while. I have known Herschel well. I think he’s a remarkable person. I think he’s the most important Senate candidate in the country because he will do more to change the Senate just by the sheer presence, by his confidence, by his deep commitment to Christ. You know he’s been through a long tough period. He had a lot of concussions coming out of football. He suffered PTSD.”.

Really? That’s rather bizarre endorsement. Gingrich is beseeching Fox News viewers to vote for Walker because he’s allegedly a devout Christian who has suffered numerous brain injuries. The latter may actually explain how Walker can claim to be so pious despite having a past filled with unrepentant sin.

What’s more, if it’s faith in Christ that Fox News viewers are looking for, Walker’s Democratic opponent, Raphael Warnock, is actually a Christian pastor. Although, unlike Walker, he doesn’t wear his faith as a shield for wrongdoing. Nor does he impose it on anyone else. Nor does he exploit it in political ads like Walker is doing…

Walker does, however, meet the criteria for Republican politicians in the era of Donald Trump. Both have abused women. Both have embellished their resumes. Both exploit religion for votes. Both have obvious mental deficiencies. And both have no problem lying about everything.

No wonder Gingrich considers Walker and Trump to be the most important candidates in the country. And he will likely get some agreement from the Fox News audience he’s preaching to. But hopefully the broader American electorate will see though this nonsense and elect people whose qualifications aren’t limited to Christ and concussions. The last thing American needs is a pseudo-messiah leading a deranged cult.

After Goofy Lawsuit Against CNN, Trump Threatens More Suits, Including the January 6th Committee

The pathologically litigious former reality TV game show host, Donald Trump, has revealed his latest legal lunacy. In a typically amateurish 28 page filing, Trump announced that he is suing CNN, claiming defamation and seeking punitive damages of $475 million.

Donald Trump, CNN

That’s right. Trump is suing the network that he has defamed hundreds of times as “fake” and “the enemy of the people” for defamation. His new complaint comes less than a month after another lawsuit against Hillary Clinton, and nearly fifty other people who the suit describes as “her cohorts,” was laughed out of court. The judge ruled that Trump was just “seeking to flaunt a two-hundred-page political manifesto outlining his grievances against those that have opposed him.”

RELATED: Trump’s Loopy Lawsuit Against Hillary Clinton and ‘Her Cohorts’ Reads Like Sleazy Pulp Fiction

Trump’s filing begins with a paragraph that is wholly saturated with political, rather than legal, arguments. He starts off saying that “The Plaintiff, President Donald J. Trump, has been a long-time critic of the Defendant, Cable News Network, Inc. (“CNN”)” So what? What does that have to do with any rational assertion of defamation? He continued…

“The Plaintiff, President Donald J. Trump, has been a long-time critic of the Defendant, Cable News Network, Inc. (“CNN”) — not because CNN does a bad job of reporting the news, but because CNN seeks to create the news (“fake news,” as the Plaintiff has characterized it in public statements). Beyond simply highlighting any negative information about the Plaintiff and ignoring all positive information about him, CNN has sought to use its massive influence— purportedly as a ‘trusted’ news source—to defame the Plaintiff in the minds of its viewers and readers for the purpose of defeating him politically. […]

“CNN has tried to taint the Plaintiff with a series of ever-more scandalous, false, and defamatory labels of ‘racist,’ ‘Russian lackey,’ ‘insurrectionist,’ and ultimately ‘Hitler.’”

First of all, Trump’s description of CNN as having “massive influence” is a contradiction of his repeated insults over the years calling CNN a failing news enterprise with terrible ratings that nobody watches.

More to the point, the crux of Trump’s complaint is that CNN’s use of labels describing him as a “racist,” “Russian lackey,” “insurrectionist,” and comparable to Hitler are defamatory. Apparently his lawyers have not advised him that the truth is a solid defense against allegations of defamation. And there is abundant evidence that CNN’s labels are accurate. It should be interesting to see the court proceedings as that evidence is presented.

Trump’s announcement of this lawsuit was made on his floundering social media scam, Truth Social. In his tedious and infantile fashion, Trump whined that…

“A lawsuit was filed today against CNN, the once prestigious news channel that has devolved into a purveyor of disinformation, defamation, and Fake News, at a level which the American Public, and indeed the World, will not even believe is possible.” […]

“In the coming weeks and months we will also be filing lawsuits against a large number of other Fake News Media Companies for their lies, defamation, and wrongdoing, including as it pertains to ‘The Big Lie,’ that they used so often in reference to their disinformation attack on Presidential Election of 2020.”

Trump didn’t bother to identify any of the other media companies that he is threatening to sue. But Trump’s animosity toward the press will surely provide him with a long list of what he regards as offending enterprises. We can assume that it won’t include Fox News, which has been documented to have disseminated more lies, disinformation, and propaganda than any other “news” organization. If Trump’s suit against CNN were successful, Fox News better look out. Then he continued…

Likewise, we may bring appropriate action against the Unselect Committee of January 6th because, notwithstanding overwhelming evidence, they REFUSED to investigate the massive Presidential Election Fraud which took place, but only investigate and harass the people and Patriots who complained and asked questions about it. The rigging and stealing of our Presidential Election was perhaps The Crime Of The Century, and look at what is happening to our Country now!”

So Trump thinks he can sue Congress because it isn’t investigating the people he wants them to investigate. Never mind that there isn’t a shred of evidence to support any of his allegations that there was any “rigging and stealing of our Presidential Election.” But he still wasn’t finished…

“The Unselect Committee has refused to acknowledge, as was done by the Biden Inspector General at the Department of Defense, and others, that days ahead of January 6th, I recommended and authorized thousands of troops to be deployed to ensure that there was peace, safety, and security at the Capitol and throughout the Country. That offer of the national guard was rejected by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, and Mayor Bowser of Washington, D.C. – The law requires their request, they failed to make one, and in turn failed the country.

This charge that Speaker Pelosi was responsible for the January 6th insurrection has been debunked repeatedly. PolitiFact’s detailed analysis documented that there is no record of Trump authorizing 20,000 National Guard troops, no evidence that Pelosi denied such an authorization, and that she doesn’t have the authority to do so in the first place.

It’s also curious that Trump’s bogus complaint is essentially that Pelosi didn’t sufficiently protect the Capitol from his violent supporters. He’s admitting that he knew his cult followers posed a risk significant enough to require thousands of National Guard troops to suppress.

Trump’s filling also contains this morsel: “CNN has been given the dreaded ‘Pants on Fire!’ designation by PolitiFact for its stories comparing Trump to Hitler.” He’s referring to segment wherein a guest on CNN said that Trump “may be responsible for many more million deaths” than Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, and Mao Zedong.”

Setting aside the fact that this was a position taken by a guest and not CNN, Trump should be careful about citing the “Pants on Fire” designations by PolitiFact. For the record, he has 116 of them. Overall, his statements reviewed by PolitiFact include 83% that are “Half True, Mostly False, False,” or “Pants on Fire.” Only 14% were rated “Mostly True” or “True.” That’s not exactly something to brag about.

Supreme Court Rejects MyPillow Huckster Mike Lindell’s Motion to Dismiss Defamation Lawsuit

The apostles of Donald Trump and his “Big Lie” that the 2020 presidential election was “rigged and stolen” from him are continuing to fail in their relentless and preposterous campaign to undermine democracy on behalf of Dear Leader Trump.

Donald Trump, Mike Lindell, MyPillow

Among the most prominent of the Trump cult disciples is the notorious MyPillow pitchman, Mike Lindell. For the past two years Lindell has been peddling Trump’s crackpot contention that there was so much voter fraud that the election results should be disregarded and Trump restored to power. Never mind that there hasn’t been a shred of evidence provided to support their conspiracy theories. And Lindell has been implicated in federal crimes related to his fraud mongering.

As result of their bogus claims, Dominion Voting Systems filed a billion dollar lawsuit for defamation against Fox News and others, including Newsmax, One America News Network (OAN), Rudy Giuliani, and Lindell. Last year an appeals court refused Lindell’s motion for dismissal. He subsequently appealed to the Supreme Court. And now that court has also rejected him

“The Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear an appeal from a prominent supporter of former President Donald Trump who is trying to fend off a defamation suit from a voting company he falsely accused of rigging the 2020 election.

“Michael Lindell, the founder of MyPillow and a regular presence at Trump’s rallies, is fighting a $1.3 billion defamation suit filed in federal court by US Dominion, the company that manufacturers voting machines used in several battleground states. Lindell’s effort was denied by a Trump-appointed U.S. District judge last year.”

This ruling by the Supreme Court affirms that Dominion’s charges of defamation are viable and that it can reasonably be construed that Lindell knew that what he was saying was false, or that he should have known.

This comes on the heels of another Lindell court loss wherein he filed his own defamation suit against Dominion and another company that made voting software, Smartmatic. That lawsuit was also thrown out, but not before Lindell bragged that it would be so successful that the Supreme Court would eventually rule in his favor 9-0, and would overturn the election and reinstate Trump. No, really…

“We’re gonna bring it to the Supreme Court. It’s gonna be 9-0. They’re gonna take this election down. And yes, Donald Trump will be your president. He is the president now.”

None of this should surprise anyone who has followed Lindell’s antics. He has been promising to expose the massive fraud and corruption of the American democratic system for two years. He has held symposiums where he guaranteed that irrefutable evidence would be presented. He produced a crocumentary that he called “Absolute Proof” that had nothing in it that was either absolute or proof. In fact, it was so lacking in credibility that when it was aired on OAN, they preceded it with a disclaimer that essentially disavowed it entirely.

So now Lindell has lost the ultra-rightist, Trump-fluffing OAN, and the Trump-dominated Supreme Court. Which can only mean that he will shortly be announcing that the REAL proof is going to be released in two weeks by the reanimated JFK, Jr and a committee comprised of Keebler elves. Stay tuned.
