Terrified Trump is Telegraphing that He Already Knows About New Indictments for January 6th

Donald Trump has already been indicted twice on 71 felony counts ranging from violations of the Espionage Act to obstruction of justice. That’s only 71 more than any other president or former president in the history of the United States. And since Trump loves to brag about being the best at everything, he can now be proud that in this one area he has actually achieved his goal.

Donald Trump, Prison

However, Trump is not resting on his laurels. There are still several indictments pending that he can add to his record. Under the circumstances, you might think that Trump would want to expedite the trials awaiting him, A defendant who was certain that he wasn’t guilty would want to prove his innocence as quickly as possible, particularly if he’s running for office again.

But, no. Trump is trying desperately to delay his trials. Probably because he’s knows he’s guilty and doesn’t want those verdicts to be in the news during his campaign. He’s also likely hoping to be reelected so that he can order his Justice Department to quash the cases against him or so that he can pardon himself. Ironically, he’s using the abundance of charges against him to justify his requests for delays. Perhaps, in retrospect, he shouldn’t have committed so many crimes that his trials are congesting the courts.

SEE THIS: WHUT? Trump Asks to Delay His Classified Docs Trial Because of All His Other Criminal Trials

In the meantime, Trump is throwing down temper tantrums on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social. The tenor of his rants was especially harsh this weekend. In fact, Trump’s tirades appear to suggest that he has already been informed of new indictments coming down from special counsel Jack Smith who, in addition to his probes of Trump’s theft and hoarding classified documents, is investigating his role in the January 6th insurrection and efforts to subvert democracy. Note the escalating urgency and fear in his recent posts…

Trump alerts his cult devotees to “remember” that everyone is out to get him if anything new about his trials should come out:

“Every time you see these Radical Lunatics and their partners in the Fake News Media talking about the ‘Trials and Tribulations’ of President Donald J. Trump, please remember that it is all a coordinated HOAX.”

Trump is preparing his flock for the results of a well executed and financed investigation:

“Just think of it! Between Mueller, Deranged Jack Smith, and Congressional Committees, over 100 Million Dollars has been spent investigating me since I came down the escalator in Trump Tower.”

Trump frames any new charges as politically partisan, despite the fact that the investigations have been effectively shielded from politics:

“Merrick Garland, Deranged Jack Smith, and coordinating Democrat ‘Prosecutors’ in New York and Atlanta, have become the Campaign Managers for the most corrupt and incompetent President in United States history.”

Trump is now signaling that more indictments are imminent, while threatening the “MONSTERS” he fears::

“How many times can Crooked Joe Biden’s DEPARTMENT OF INJUSTICE … INDICT HIS POLITICAL OPPONENT DURING THE COURSE OF THE CAMPAIGN? … WE MUST STOP THESE ‘MONSTERS’ FROM FURTHER DESTROYING OUR COUNTRY!”

Trump curiously wonders why he wasn’t brought to justice sooner, and again implies that he’s aware of new charges:

“Why didn’t they bring these ridiculous charges years before?”

Trump begs for help from his sycophants in Congress:

“Why hasn’t Republican ‘leadership’ in the Senate spoken up and rebuked Crooked Joe Biden and the Radical Left Democrats, Fascists, and Marxists?”

He isn’t coming right and saying it, but Trump is openly implying that he has knowledge of new indictments. And it’s notable to recall that he was the one who revealed to the world his previous indictments, before the special counsel publicly announced them. Also notable was his outrage at law enforcement for doing their job and holding him accountable for his crimes. So it’s not irrelevant that he’s revisiting that outrage now.

IT’S FOOL! Trump Ponders Whether ‘Any Attorney that Represents Me is Either a Fool or a Patriot’

The legal sinkhole that has opened beneath Donald Trump is continuing to grow wider and deeper. He has already been indicted twice on more than 70 felony counts ranging from falsifying financial records, to obstruction of justice, to stealing and hoarding classified government documents. And that’s just the criminal cases. He has also been found civilly liable for sexual abuse and defamation.

Donald Trump

The latest crater threatening to engulf Trump is a prospective indictment for his participation in the January 6th insurrection and the plot to subvert democracy. Trump himself revealed that he received a target letter from the Grand Jury investigating his attempted coup. And, naturally, he reacted with his customary composure and abiding respect for “deranged” special counsel, Jack Smith.

SEE THIS: Trump Has a Full Blown Schizoid Meltdown Over the Prospect of Yet Another Criminal Indictment

In anticipation of the future indictments that Trump expects, he is now bolstering his legal team with the sort of praise and appreciation for which he is so well known. In a post on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, Trump calmly noted that…

“These vicious Communists, Marxists, Fascists, and Radical Left Democrats have attacked my lawyers at a level never seen before, and yet I keep on winning. Any attorney that represents me is either a fool, or a Great American Patriot that History will love and cherish!”

Let’s break down the numerous absurdities in that brief outburst, shall we?

To begin with, Trump always expresses himself in hysterical hyperbole. Everything he complains about occurs at “a level never seen before.” And he refers to everyone who is not unflinchingly worshipful of him as “vicious Communists, Marxists, Fascists, and Radicals.” That includes Democrats and Republicans, and even many of the people that he appointed to serve in his administration, who he later fired, calling them incompetents, liars, and losers.

From there Trump claims that, despite the vicious opposition from radicals et al, he “keep[s] on winning.” Well, except for having lost the 2020 election, more than 60 court cases challenging the election outcome, lawsuits affirming his fraudulent operation of a charity and a university, and the recent case where a jury agreed that he defamed and sexually abused writer, E. Jean Carroll.

Finally, Trump poses an interesting question. He wants to know whether his attorneys will be remembered in history as either fools or patriots. But that’s a question that the early drafts of history have already answered. And it’s pretty clear that “Fool” has a commanding lead.

Trump attorneys Rudy Giuliani, Sydney Powell, Jenna Ellis, and Jeff Clark, have already been sanctioned or disbarred, or are currently being investigated for misconduct. His former attorney, Michael Cohen went to prison for following Trump’s directives. And he is also getting legal advice from a lawyer who has been working as a correspondent on the ultra right-wing One America News Network. Another legal advisor is the head of Judicial Watch, Tom Fitton, who is not actually a lawyer.

Consequently, it would be fair to say that any attorney who represents Trump is unquestionably a fool. In fact, just agreeing to represent him is enough reason to make that judgment. It puts you at risk of losing your license, and you may not even get paid. Plus, you have to agree to peddle the legal inanities that Trump favors, such his obsession with what he calls the “Clinton socks case,” that he discussed with Sean Hannity on Fox News Tuesday night, saying…

“Also the ‘Clinton socks case,’ you know what that is? That’s where Clinton took out tapes in socks. And he put them in his drawer. And they sued him, just on a very civil basis. And he ended up winning the lawsuit. And the judge said he can have whatever he wants. And that’s called the Presidential Records Act.”

For the record, President Clinton never “took out tapes in his socks.” What Trump is mangling is that tapes of interviews with a journalist were stored in a sock drawer at Clinton’s residence. They were his tapes, made in preparation for a biography, and not government property. Trump is correct that a lawsuit resulted in a decision that Clinton was the owner of the tapes and was not required to turn them in to the National Archives. But Trump is glaringly wrong that the decision said that “he can have whatever he wants.” It said only that he can have his own personal property. And Trump’s interpretation of the Presidential Records Act is preposterous.

Trump has been trying for months to use this as justification for his having stolen classified documents that belonged, not to him but, to the government, and absconding to his Mar-a-Lago home/hotel with them. Then he lied to the FBI and other authorities about having them. But despite this lie being debunked every time he tells it, he continues to rely on it to exonerate him. Meanwhile, Hannity and his audience of Trump cult devotees accept this nonsense blindly. Which only tells us that there more fools in Trump’s orbit than his attorneys.

Trump Has a Full Blown Schizoid Meltdown Over the Prospect of Yet Another Criminal Indictment

The legal melodrama that has shrouded Donald Trump for years continues to unfold as new and more chilling plot points are unveiled with each passing day. The latest wrinkle in his farce is a comment that Trump posted on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, announcing that special counsel Jack Smith has notified him that he is a target in the probe of the January 6th insurrection.

Donald Trump

If this notice is true (and it’s always sketchy with anything that Trump says), it will be his third felony indictment, exceeding the 70+ felony counts he is already facing. The abundance of crimes that are attributable to Trump is so massive that he’s even using it to put off his multitude of prosecutions. The poor guy just doesn’t have time to deal with all of his wrongdoing.

RELATED: WHUT? Trump Asks to Delay His Classified Docs Trial Because of All His Other Criminal Trials

Trump responded to the news of this new imminent indictment the way he always does. By lashing out with unbridled hostility, while utterly failing to make any coherent argument in his defense. It was a tedious tirade that rambled on with hysterical run-on sentences and crammed with every talking point he could think of, including his yelping about imaginary offences (i.e. spying on his campaign, fake dossiers, the Mueller Witch Hunt, and Russia, Russia, Russia) He whined

“WOW! On Sunday night, while I was with my family […] HORRIFYING NEWS for our country was given to me by my attorneys. Deranged Jack Smith…sent a letter (again, it was Sunday night!) stating that I am a TARGET of the January 6th Grand Jury investigation.”

It’s cute that Trump regards his being indicted again as “HORRIFYING NEWS for our country.” That’s his standard messianic playacting wherein he’s dying for the sins of his cult followers. The majority of the country, however, recognizes that the horror is Trump’s alone. In fact, most Americans believe he’s guilty. The horror would be letting him get away with his crimes.

SEE THIS: TRUTH THIS: More Americans – Including 25% of Republicans – Believe that Trump is Guilty

Trump complains correctly that “Nothing like this has ever happened in our Country before.” But that’s only because no other political leader has dared to commit such blatant misconduct, and to do it so openly, even admitting to it in many of his pathetic public commentaries. His tantrum also included this morsel of mental instability…

“So now, Joe Biden’s Attorney General, Merrick Garland, who I turned down for the United States Supreme Court…”

Does Trump really think that he “turned down” Merrick Garland for the Supreme Court? Garland was nominated by President Obama, and his confirmation was stalled by Republican Senate leader, Mitch McConnell. And all of that was before the 2016 election. What’s more, does Trump really want to take credit for Garland not being confirmed? That led to his appointment as Attorney General by President Biden, and the special counsel investigations against him.

Adding to the evidence of Trump’s madness, he reposted six (count ’em, 6!) comments by the illustriously credible, ultra-MAGA, “Catturd,” including one that called for the impeachment of Merrick Garland, Chris Wray, and, of course, President Biden. Trump approvingly replied to the feline fecal matter’s conclusion that “The Republican Party = spineless, worthless, good-for-nothing cowards.”

It’s hard to disagree with that assessment of the GOP. Particularly since most members of the party are still bending over backwards to defend Trump as his indictments pile up. Which poses an interesting dilemma for Trump, who once insisted that candidates under felony indictment have “no right to be running.” It’s hard to disagree with that too.

WHUT? Trump Asks to Delay His Classified Docs Trial Because of All His Other Criminal Trials

Poor Donald Trump. He is under such a crushing burden these days, simply because of his affinity for stealing classified documents, storing them at his Palm Beach home/hotel, and then lying to the FBI and other authorities about having them. Now he is facing the legal consequences of his misconduct and can’t seem to fit it into his schedule.

Donald Trump

As Trump’s legal peril intensifies, he is becoming ever more unhinged and racked with rancor and unbridled hostility. He’s lashing out at his perceived persecutors, especially the special counsel, Jack Smith, who Trump calls a “deranged” “thug” bent on destroying his aspirations to become America’s first dictator.

RELATED: Trump Says ‘Deranged’ Special Counsel Staged Photo of Trump with Suspected Obama Stalker

On Monday evening, at the very last moment, Trump finally responded to the special counsel’s motion to move his trial date to December 11. That’s four months later than the judge originally scheduled it. But that still isn’t far off enough for Trump. In response, Trump didn’t actually suggest an alternate date. He asked that no date whatsoever be chosen. He wants the trial delayed indefinitely. But if a date is set, it should be after the 2024 election, a year and a half away. And his reasons are downright laughable. Trump’s filing says that he can’t possibly defend himself properly in December because…

  • He’s too busy with other criminal and civil trials.
  • He’s too busy running for president.
  • He says that “There is no ongoing threat to national security interests nor any concern regarding continued criminal activity.”
  • He says that he can’t seat an impartial jury in the midst of a presidential election.

What a brilliant legal maneuver. Trump is using the fact that he’s such a prolific criminal that his logjam of trials have to be spaced out for many months to avoid colliding with one another. If this works it might inspire other defendants to give it shot. For instance, a murder could kill four or five more people so that his pending trials would have to be postponed for months or years.

Additionally, Trump thinks his candidacy for the Republican nomination for president suffices as a delaying tactic. This strategy might help the aforementioned murderer as well. He would just need file papers to join the GOP campaign and – voila – his trial date is shelved indefinitely. And as an added bonus, he’d fit right in with the Republican candidate roster.

What’s more, Trump is claiming that his trial can be waived off because he allegedly doesn’t represent any “ongoing threat to national security.” Never mind that he may still have more classified documents at his other resorts and villas, and his daily tirades that smear prosecutors, judges, and political foes, put all of their lives in jeopardy. His very campaign is itself a threat…

SEE THIS: Trump Post Urges His Cult Followers to Take Up Arms and ‘Physically Fight’ for the Presidency

Finally, Trump is pretending to be concerned that it would be impossible to find impartial jurors while an election is in progress. First of all, what is known as the “60-day rule” is a Justice Department policy (not a law) that seeks to avoid any legal proceedings within 60 days of an election so as not to influence the voting. Trump is absurdly stretching that out to a year and a half.

More to the point, there is no logical reason why it would it be any more difficult to seat a jury now than it would be in 2025. What Trump is really interested in is the prospect that he, or another Republican, would be elected in 2024, and his case would be dropped or he would be pardoned. In other words, he’s hoping for sanctuary, not acquittal. He knows that he’s guilty and there’s mountains of evidence to prove it. He also knows that most Americans – including 25% of Republicans – believe that he’s guilty.

Under the circumstances, there are no rational reasons to delay Trump’s trial. And clearly, Trump and his attorneys have pitifully failed to articulate any. To his advantage, the judge assigned to the case, Aileen Cannon, is a Trump flunky who could just put off the trial because she feels like it. But anyone paying attention to the law would seek a speedy trial. In fact, anyone paying attention to Trump would argue that he shouldn’t even have the right to run. He said so explicitly…

Trump Says ‘Deranged’ Special Counsel Staged Photo of Trump with Suspected Obama Stalker

It’s a day that ends with “Y” so, therefore, it’s a day in which Donald Trump posts a loony message to his cult followers on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social. And as his legal peril increases, the looniness and seething desperation of his posts grow exponentially.

Donald Trump, Insane, Straight Jacket

On Saturday morning Trump ventured into the true crime story of one of his cult disciples, Taylor Taranto, who was arrested this week with a cache of weapons near the home of former President Barack Obama. Taranto was also wanted for his participation in the January 6th insurrection in Washington, D.C., and authorities alleged that he “had threatened to blow up [his van] at a government facility.” In other words, he was a typically deplorable Trump devotee.

RELATED: Trump Post Urges His Cult Followers to Take Up Arms and ‘Physically Fight’ for the Presidency

In his Pravda Social post, Trump lashed out at special counsel Jack Smith in his tediously repetitive fashion, referring to Smith as “deranged,” a condition that Trump should be familiar with. He was triggered by a photo of Taranto with his arm around a cardboard cutout of Trump.

Apparently Trump wasn’t pleased with the media reporting factually that Taranto was a longtime Trump supporter who was prone to violence. It wasn’t that Trump was bothered by the association. He was bothered that it was made public. Consequently, he raged that…

“This picture is a ‘cardboard cutout’ of me put out by the Fake News Media and probably supplied to them by Deranged Jack Smith and the Department of Injustice for purposes of Election Interference. Weaponization of ‘Justice’ is the new way that the Radical Left Democrat Lunatics will CHEAT in the 2024 Presidential Election. WE WILL STOP THEM!!!”

Notice that nothing in Trump’s comment is critical of what Taranto did to get arrested. Nor does he condemn the violence. He’s cool with all of that. However, he brazenly lies about the source of the photo as being “supplied to [the media] by Deranged Jack Smith and the Department of Injustice for purposes of Election Interference.” In reality, the photo comes from a Washington state Republican dinner in 2018, while he was still occupying the White House, and long before the special counsel probe.

Trump’s aversion to the truth is well established. And his obsessive hostility toward his perceived enemies is beyond psychotic. So naturally, he views Smith with contempt. Earlier the same day Trump posted that…

“Deranged Jack Smith, the wacko prosecutor that Corrupt Joe Biden and his Thugs stuck on me during the political campaign in which Biden is losing ‘BIG’ (an absolute No, No!), just announced that he has spent over 9 million dollars, already, on this continuing Witch Hunt. Biden’s Special Prosecutor, by comparison, has spent almost nothing. Prosecutorial Misconduct for purposes of Election Interference!”

It seems that Trump forgot that his infantile nickname prefix for Biden is “Crooked,” not “Corrupt.” But at least he is consistently maligning Smith as “Deranged,” despite how remarkably intelligent and focused he appears by all accounts.

Trump also claims that “Biden and his Thugs” “stuck” Smith on him. Although Biden had nothing to do with it. And Trump’s complaint that the “Witch Hunt” cost $9 million is evidence of Smith’s effectiveness. He’s already produced more than 60 felony counts in his indictments. John Durham, the special counsel appointed by Trump’s Attorney General, Bill Barr, spent about the same amount. But in nearly four years he only charged three people, one of whom pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor, and the other two were found not guilty at trial.

Finally, while Trump would like to believe that he can’t be prosecuted with an election coming up, that policy refers to elections that are within 60 days, not a year and a half. So if Smith continues to proceed expeditiously, and Trump fails to obstruct with delays, his trial can go forward.

In the meantime, expect Trump to continue to dispense lies, hatred, and incitations to further violence. Hopefully he will have the same measure of failure with that that he does with everything else that he attempts.

Scared and Desperate Trump Begs Congress to Save Him From the Meanies Prosecuting His Crimes

The legal comeuppance of Donald Trump is continuing on its course in a fairly rapid fashion since he was officially indicted on 37 felony counts ranging from obstruction of justice to violations of the Espionage Act. A trial date has been set at August 14, although there are expected to be routine deferments.

Donald Trump, Wah

On Wednesday special counsel Jack Smith provided Trump’s attorneys with discovery materials that include grand jury witness testimony. Which means that Trump now knows who will be testifying against him and what they’ve said. And if Trump wasn’t frightened before he was indicted, he surely is now.

RELATED: Crybaby Trump is Panicking Over the Likelihood that He is About to Be Criminally Indicted

The morning after Trump’s legal team received the truckloads of evidence from Smith, Trump took to his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, to vent his seething outrage and fear. in a series of all-caps rage postings, Trump revealed his descent into dread and reached out in anguish for help from his flunkies in Congress…

“CONGRESS, PLEASE INVESTIGATE THE POLITICAL WITCH HUNTS AGAINST ME CURRENTLY BEING BROUGHT BY THE CORRUPT DOJ AND FBI, WHO ARE TOTALLY OUT OF CONTROL. THIS CONTINUING SAGA IS RETRIBUTION AGAINST ME FOR WINNING AND, EVEN MORE IMPORTANTLY TO THEM, ELECTION INTERFERENCE REGARDING THE 2024 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION. IT WILL BE THERE (sic) UPDATED FORM OF RIGGING OUR MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION. LOOK AT THE POLLS – THEY CAN’T BEAT ME (MAGA!) AT THE BALLOT BOX, THE ONLY WAY THEY CAN WIN IS TO CHEAT. STOP THEM NOW!”

Could this pleading be any more pathetic? Here we have a former president imploring his troll army to leap to his rescue from the fearsome clutches of justice. It’s especially pitiful considering that the Republican gnomes he is relying on to do battle with the “witch hunters” are so inept. There is nothing they can do to stop the wheels of justice from turning. Although they have threatened to defund and/or abolish the DoJ and the FBI, which they can’t do without the Democratic controlled Senate and President Biden’s signature.

SEE THIS: Jim Jordan Tells Fox News that He’ll Explore Defunding the Police Due to the Trump Indictment

Trump continues to argue that he is the victim of forces determined to destroy him as “RETRIBUTION AGAINST ME FOR WINNING.” Of course, in the real world he lost decisively to Biden in 2020, his candidates failed miserably in 2022, and he has done nothing to grow his meager and dwindling base of support since then. So he resorts to posting anxious outbursts whining that “The Radical Left Investigations of me now…are a SCAM,” and wild accusations such as…

“Congress will hopefully now look at the ever continuing Witch Hunts and ELECTION INTERFERENCE against me on perfectly legal Boxes, where I have no doubt that information is being secretly “planted” by the scoundrels in charge.”

That’s right. The “perfectly legal Boxes” that he refused to turn over, and purposefully tried to hide, contain documents that were “planted” by law enforcement. Those are the same documents that he previously claimed didn’t exist, or were declassified with his mind, or were all returned, or that belonged to him. And the fact that Trump has “no doubt” as to the information being planted should seal the case since he’s such a bastion of credibility.

For the record, this isn’t the first time that Trump has floated the smear that the documents were planted. And with that inanity, along with his baleful beseeching of Congress for deliverance from the demons of democracy, he can look forward to a future of political purgatory.

RNC Chair is ‘Very Disconcerted’ that Biden Can’t Get Republicans to Support Trump’s Indictments

The Cult of Donald Trump – aka the Republican Party – is proving once again how devoted they are to their Dear Leader despite the voluminous record of his legal and ethical misconduct. The party is signaling that it will remain loyal to Trump no matter what crimes he has committed, even if he is convicted by a jury of his peers.

Donald Trump, GOP

Ronna McDaniel, the chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC), was interviewed by Kaitlan Collins on CNN Friday. The topics of conversation naturally included the recent indictments of Trump on 37 felony counts ranging from obstruction of justice to violations of the Espionage Act. Trump’s response to being indicted was a predictable emotional meltdown attacking President Biden and the the special counsel, Jack Smith.

SEE ALSO: Utterly Deranged Trump Calls Special Counsel a ‘Radical Right Lunatic’ Who ‘Planted’ Evidence

Somewhat less predictable was the position McDaniel took when Collins asked her about whether the GOP would still insist that all of their candidates pledge to support the eventual nominee, if that person had been convicted of felonies. At first, McDaniel shamelessly dodged…

Collins: Why should Republicans be asked to support someone who could potentially be convicted of a felony?
McDaniel: There is no convicted felon in the Republican field right now

That’s technically true. There is just a candidate that has been indicted on 71 counts in two different cases. Nevertheless, McDaniel is adamant that the loyalty oath be enforced if candidates want to participate in GOP primary debates. That doctrine is in effect even though there is little hope that Trump would comply with it. Why should he? He never did before.

RELATED: RNC Chair Thinks Trump Would Honor a Pledge to Support the GOP Nominee if it Isn’t Him

The interview actually went downhill from there. Collins sought to press McDaniel on the issue of Trump’s indictments and the GOP’s gutless and amoral toleration of his lawlessness and corruption. But her justifications were pitifully weak and disassociated…

McDaniel: Republicans feel like there’s one system of justice for them and a different for Democrats. There’s one standard for Hillary Clinton and a different for Donald Trump.
Collins: But the allegations are not the same for Hillary Clinton.
McDaniel: Because she never was investigated.
Collins: She was investigated.
McDaniel: She had a BleachBit server. She destroyed phones.

McDaniel has apparently BleachBitted her brain. Clinton may be the most investigated public official in modern times. Republicans held dozens of hearings about everything from her emails to Benghazi and back. FBI director James Comey was investigating her in the final days of the 2016 campaign, which was a significant factor in her loss. And failing in that argument, McDaniel decides to draw a comparison between Clinton and Trump, asserting falsely that she had 22 classified documents to his 17. In reality, Clinton had zero documents that were classified when she obtained them, and Trump had hundreds.

Collins points out that Trump had taken documents with nuclear secrets and confidential information about our allies. To which McDaniel replied that “He hasn’t had a chance to defend himself.” Seriously? He has been ranting non-stop about his indictment since even before it was announced. The problem is that his rants have all been incoherent tirades filled with lies and insults. He deliberately avoids any factual refutation of the charges against him. He has had plenty of opportunities to defend himself, he just never does so. Perhaps because he has no defense. Which may be one reason why his defense attorneys keep quitting. Along with his noxious personality and refusal to pay them.

RELATED: Crybaby Trump is Panicking Over the Likelihood that He is About to Be Criminally Indicted

McDaniel then complains that Clinton didn’t get indicted or have her home raided, but Trump did. That’s only because Clinton always cooperated with law enforcement. And every investigation, including those by Republicans, concluded that she had not broken any laws. McDaniel closed by whining that…

“We also know we have a President in Joe Biden who isn’t addressing the American people in a time of crisis. A deeply divided country. I think a former president being indicted is a time of crisis. And to not hear from our president, to have Joe Biden hiding again and not bringing people together is very disconcerting.”

Indeed, it is a time of crisis when a former president is indicted. But that’s Trump’s fault for being such an unrepentant criminal. It isn’t Biden’s responsibility to salve the tender feelings of Trump’s cult followers. To the contrary, it would be wholly inappropriate for Biden to comment on the pending charges against Trump. He respects the wall between the White House and the Justice Department. Unlike Trump, whose virtual campaign slogan, referring to Clinton, was “Lock Her Up,” And Trump recently promised to appoint a special prosecutor to “go after” Biden and his family. What’s “very disconcerting” is that after all this time, Trump is still so ignorant that he thinks a president has that authority.

McDaniel spent most of her time in this interview talking over Collins. She deflected with irrelevant detours to the Nothingburger Durham Report, and the Steele dossier. Just like every other Republican who has commented on this, including Trump himself, she clearly doesn’t have a rational response to the facts that led to Trump’s indictment.

Consequently, it is now official Republican policy that candidates and office holders who have committed felonies, including breaches of the Espionage Act, are acceptable and even welcome. In fact, it mandatory to support them in order to be a Party member in good standing. That’s something that all citizens should consider when they vote.

Utterly Deranged Trump Calls Special Counsel a ‘Radical Right Lunatic’ Who ‘Planted’ Evidence

The indictments of Donald Trump on 37 felony counts of mishandling sensitive national security documents is obviously weighing heavily on him. And the closer he gets to his arraignment in Miami, the more his ordinarily nasty mood deteriorates even further.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump, Insane, Straight Jacket

You know you’re in trouble when your former Attorney General is asked on Fox News about the indictments and says that If even half of it is true, HE’S TOAST! It’s also problematic when two of your lawyers resign within hours of your being indicted. And it’s even worse when another one of your attorneys appears on Fox News and declares that you aren’t looking at the prospect of prison realistically.

SEE THIS: Trump’s Attorney Tells Fox News He’s Not Facing Reality, He’s Denying the Prospect of Prison

The anxiety has clearly been mounting for Trump as his legal peril becomes more impossible to dismiss. His protestations of innocence seem increasingly hollow and impotent. In fact, he spends considerably more time attacking the Justice Department and the law, than he does making arguments against his guilt.

Which is what he was doing Tuesday morning prior to his arraignment proceedings. Trump posted a furious flurry of comments on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, lashing out at special counsel Jack Smith. Unfortunately for Trump, his fear and desperation produced some rather comical misstatements…

“This is the Thug, over turned consistently and unanimously in big cases, that Biden and his CORRUPT Injustice Department stuck on me. He’s a Radical Right Lunatic and Trump Hater, as are all his friends and family, who probably ‘planted’ information in the ‘boxes’ given to them. They taint everything that they touch, including our Country, which is rapidly going to HELL!”

First of all, President Biden didn’t “stick” Smith on him. It was Attorney General Merrick Garland who made the appointment, and Biden has remained appropriately distant from all of that. However, Trump recently threatened that, if reelected, he would appoint his own special prosecutor to go after Biden. He apparently still hasn’t learned that presidents don’t have that authority.

More to the point, Trump’s tirade maligns Smith as a “Radical Right Lunatic.” Trump ordinarily attacks Smith as a “Radical Left Lunatic,” but he now appears to be covering all of the politically ideological bases. Either that or he’s suffering from a deviant strain Freudian slippery. He followed that up with an entirely baseless accusation that Smith “planted” evidence among the documents found at Mar-a-Lago. Even though all of those documents were taken into the custody of the FBI long before Smith was appointed.

Trump went on to vent his anger with posts asking if “Deranged Jack Smith” would be looking into “the 1,850 Boxes that Biden is fighting to keep secret.” Never mind that there are no such boxes in Biden’s possession, and that allegation has been repeatedly debunked. Then, for good measure, he posted his trademarked rants of “WITCH HUNT!” and “ELECTION INTERFERENCE!”

But Trump’s tantrum still wasn’t finished. He whined that “THE GRAND JURY WAS NEVER TOLD ABOUT THE PRESIDENTIAL RECORDS ACT OR THE CLINTON SOCKS CASE, BOTH EXONERATING!” However, there’s a good reason for that. Trump wasn’t charged with anything related to the Presidential Records Act (PRA), or what he calls the “Clinton Socks Case.” But even if those matters were relevant, they wouldn’t exonerate Trump.

The PRA explicitly states that “Presidential records automatically transfer into the legal custody of the [National] Archivist as soon as the President leaves office.” And the Clinton case involved audio tapes of an interview Clinton gave to a reporter. When it was litigated, the court ruled that the tapes were personal and that “the Presidential Records Act distinguishes official presidential records from personal records.” That cannot be said of the documents that Trump stole and stored in his Mar-a-Lago home/hotel.

Trump’s hostility toward the special counsel is typical of his response to being challenged. He thinks that his irrational anger is sufficient to persuade people that he didn’t do whatever he obviously did. And he extends that anger to attacks on his political foes. In fact, his entire defense strategy becomes accusing others of what he is guilty of, and expecting that to somehow exonerate him.

Someone needs to tell Trump that, even if others committed similar crimes, that doesn’t absolve him of his responsibility for criminal acts. Although, he will find that out eventually anyway.

Trump and His MAGA Minions in Media and Congress Go BONKERS Over His Criminal Indictments

It’s been a long time coming, but accountability for Donald Trump and his brazenly unlawful misconduct may finally be upon us. Special counsel Jack Smith has issued indictments against Trump for a variety of criminal acts related to his theft and hoarding of national security documents, hundreds that were classified, at his Mar-a-Lago home/hotel.

Donald Trump, Wah

Needless to say, Trump isn’t taking this news very well. Trump himself announced his indictments on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, Thursday evening. He falsely attributed the charges to “the Biden administration,” rather than to the Grand Jury that is not, in fact, part of the administration. And he immediately pivoted to irrelevancies such as his nonsense complaint that he got more votes in 2020 than he did in 2016, but still 7,000,000 fewer than President Biden. Trump apparently doesn’t know that you don’t win elections by beating yourself four years earlier. Trump also tried to shift attention from his criminality to the repeatedly debunked allegation that Biden has 1,850 boxes of classified materials.

SEE THIS: Crybaby Trump is Panicking Over the Likelihood that He is About to Be Criminally Indicted

All of that was followed by Republican politicians and pundits whining about the indictments and attempting to deflect from Trump’s crimes by alleging that Biden has committed similar crimes. But that is a blatant and deliberate lie. Unlike Trump, Biden never withheld any documents. He never lied about having them. He never shared them with others. He never attempted to move and hide them. He never tampered with witnesses. He never defied a subpoena. He always complied with the law. The indictments against Trump are serious and wide-ranging. They include…

  • Willful retention of national defense information
  • Conspiracy to obstruct justice
  • Withholding a document or record
  • Corruptly concealing a document or record
  • Concealing a document in a federal investigation
  • Scheme to conceal
  • False statements and representations

UPDATE: The unsealed indictment reveals that it contains 37 counts against Trump.

In response to those charges, Trump’s apologists launched full-bore into pathetic defenses that centered mainly on their belief that no politician (at least the Republican ones) can ever be prosecuted without it being a ghastly assault on democracy. Never mind that Trump’s 2016 campaign slogan was “Lock Her Up,” a call to prosecute and punish his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, for completely baseless allegations.

Leading the charge on Trump’s behalf was House Squeaker, Kevin McCarthy, who tweeted that “Today is indeed a dark day for the United States of America. It is unconscionable for a President to indict the leading candidate opposing him. Joe Biden kept classified documents for decades.” And McCarthy’s Senate colleague, Josh Hawley, added that “If the people in power can jail their political opponents at will, we don’t have a republic.”

McCarthy knows very well that President Biden did not indict Trump. He was indicted by an independent Grand Jury in Trump’s home state of Florida. The case was presented to the Grand Jury by an independent Special Counsel who was appointed by an Attorney General who had no interactions whatsoever with Biden regarding the case.

This is how justice is administered in America. If McCarthy wants to be mad about something, maybe he should focus on Trump’s serial criminal activities instead. They occurred long before these recent charges. Remember that Trump was found legally liable for running a fraudulent university. He ran a corrupt charity. He sexually abused women and bragged about it. And he was indicted a few weeks ago for falsifying business records. That’s quite a rap sheet.

Sen. Hawley knows that no “people in power” have jailed a political opponent. At this time, Trump has only been indicted. And if Trump is eventually jailed it will not be by a nefarious cabal of powerful people. It will be by a jury of his peers acting in accordance with the law. If Hawley and other Republicans are disturbed that these indictments are historically unprecedented, maybe they should be disturbed instead by Trump’s historically unprecedented crime spree.

What this proves is that Republicans have as little respect for the rule of law as Trump. Many of them are threatening to defund the police, in the form of cutting congressional appropriations to the FBI and the Justice Department.

For his part, Trump unleashed a furious frenzy of fifty (yeah, 50!) posts on Truth Social Thursday night. They began with three of his own rage postings at around 7:30 pm when he announced that he had been indicted, and continued until nearly 2:00 am. The posts consisted mostly of reposts of his GOP accomplices and apologists, along with Fox News clips (15 of them) regurgitating the same utterly baseless talking point that President Biden was responsible for the indictments. And it needs to be repeated often that there is no evidence whatsoever of that.

Let’s not forget that these indictments relate only to Trump’s mishandling of national security documents at Mar-a-Lago. But the special counsel is also investigating Trump’s involvement in the January 6th insurrection against the Congress. So there may be much more to come in the not too distant future. In the meantime, Trump is ratcheting up the outrage and hostility in his attempt to incite further violence on his behalf. And he’s getting help from his pals at Fox News. It’s a deliberate and dangerous tactic that should be prohibited by the court. But as we’ve all seen before, it isn’t easy to shut Trump’s mouth, even when he is inciting violence and hurting his own legal prospects.

Finally, Fox News previously announced a town hall with Trump on June 19. It will be interesting to see if he – or they – still want to proceed with that. And if so, what new lies will Trump tell and how will he incriminate himself further? Stay tuned.

HUH? Trump’s Lawyer Accuses Special Counsel Jack Smith of ‘Scaring’ Mark Meadows Into Testifying

As the walls close in around serial crime boss, Donald Trump, he and his lawyers are becoming ever more desperate and downright deranged in their response to the legal peril that he faces. Many analysts are predicting that the Grand Jury investigations are winding up and that indictments against Trump are imminent.

Donald Trump, Woman, Fear

For his part, Trump is exhibiting acute anxiety in the increasingly hysterical comments he’s posting on his floundering Twitter scam, Truth Social. He knows what he did, and he knows that special counsel Jack Smith and other prosecutors know as well. So he’s lashing out viciously as if that sort of impotent rage will frighten prosecutors into abandoning their lawful duty.

On Wednesday one of Trump’s remaining lawyers, Alina Habba, appeared on Newsmax to continue trying his case in the right-wing media. But her arguments were not only pitifully weak, they actually complimented Smith and the special counsel team. Newsmax host Carl Higbie began by raising the subject of Trump’s former White House chief of staff, Mark Meadows, potentially flipping on Trump…

Higbie: It comes out that Mark Meadows is actually working with the prosecution to essentially get a plea deal, to plead guilty to certain things that help the prosecution against Donald Trump. What?
Habba: Yes, That he has immunity. That’s what we’re hearing. It’s obviously news to me. I just learned it with you. But yeah, that’s what we’re hearing. He was granted immunity. So effectively, he would be a key witness against the president and give testimony in opposition of him. As we’ve seen time and time again. This is what they did to Allen Weisselberg in the D.A. case in New York. This is what they do time and again to anybody that is close to the Trump world, to president Trump. Because they have nothing. So they have to squeeze people, scare people, and intimidate them into testifying in the direction that they want. It’s very disturbing.

I’m sure that it is indeed “very disturbing” to the Trump team to have Trump’s closest aide testifying for the prosecution. However, there is nothing unusual or untoward about prosecutors employing legal tactics to persuaded witnesses to reveal what they know about criminal activity. In fact, it is rather common. The best witnesses are often those who are close to, or conspiring with, the accused criminals.

Offering immunity is an appropriate way of eliciting honest and candid testimony. It is not done when prosecutors have nothing. To the contrary, they must have something in order to trade leniency for testimony. And that testimony must be truthful or the whole immunity deal is canceled. So it would do no good for the witness to lie just to tell the prosecutor what he wants to hear.

What Habba is mischaracterizing as “squeezing and scaring people” is standard operating procedure for prosecutors. So in effect, she is complimenting the special counsel team for their effectiveness and fealty to the law, and to the American people who they serve.

For the record, the assertions by both Higbie and Habba that Meadows was offered and took a plea deal are the product of their imaginations. Meadows’ lawyer has adamantly denied that he took any plea deal. However he didn’t deny that Meadows was granted “limited immunity” in exchange for his testimony. But that alone was enough to terrify Trump, who raged that…

“No one has told me I’m being indicted … but I have assumed for years that I am a Target of the WEAPONIZED DOJ & FBI.” [and that it is] “A TRAVESTY OF JUSTICE & ELECTION INTERFERENCE AT A LEVEL NEVER SEEN BEFORE. REPUBLICANS IN CONGRESS MUST MAKE THIS THEIR # 1 ISSUE!!!”

That’s a pretty astute assumption on Trump’s part. However, it is preposterous to think that Republicans in Congress should make his legal tribulations their #1 issue. After all, they haven’t exhausted the “woke mind virus” yet. Trump later added that the “DOJ, FBI, NEW YORK A.G., NEW YORK D.A., ATLANTA D.A. FASCISTS ALL!” It’s amazing how many fascists Trump thinks have infiltrated the halls of justice in America. On the other hand, it may be time to increase the dosages of his meds.
