Trump Delusionally Brags About His Social Media – That Has Cratered Since He Got Banned

The mental meltdown of Donald Trump is continuing – even accelerating – seven months after Joe Biden beat him by more than seven million votes. In all that time Trump has never conceded defeat. But he has incited a violent insurrection and promoted numerous “fraudits” of election results that were already validated by every state election official, Democratic and Republican.

Donald Trump

Trump’s relentless and inflammatory promulgation of the “Big Lie” is what got him banned by Twitter and Facebook. That exile from social media has had a noticeably negative effect on Trump, both emotionally and materially. But true to form, Trump refuses to accept reality. On Tuesday he released a statement that illustrates just how badly demented he has become. It said that…

“Trump’s message can reach social media audiences comparable in size to those he commanded while still on Twitter and Facebook, a New York Times analysis published Monday found. In fact, the outlet found 11 of the 89 statements Trump has published online since he was banned from mainstream social media sites have attracted ‘as many likes or shares as the median post before the ban, if not more.'”

First of all, Trump is quoting, without attribution, an excerpt from an article in Forbes Magazine that was reporting on an analysis by the New York Times.

However, it’s apparent that Trump doesn’t have the comprehension skills to understand the meaning of the quote he posted. His own excerpt notes that only 11 of his 89 post-banning statements – or 12.4% -had received comparable attention. Which means that 87.6% failed to hit that threshold. And he’s bragging about that? A more complete, in context quote would have included this…

“Before the ban, the social media post with the median engagement generated 272,000 likes and shares. After the ban, that dropped to 36,000 likes and shares. Yet 11 of his 89 statements after the ban attracted as many likes or shares as the median post before the ban, if not more.”

So over all, Trump’s social media engagement declined 86% after his banning. More importantly, online misinformation about election fraud plunged 73% sans Trump. The Times analysis also looked at his 10 most popular posts with election misinformation before and after the social media bans. “Before the ban,” the Times found, “Trump’s posts garnered 22.1 million likes and shares; after the ban, his posts earned 1.3 million likes and shares across Twitter and Facebook.”

What’s more, the article noted that much of the engagement he currently receives is coming from postings of his statements by right-wing media like Breitbart and Fox News, as well as members of his cult following and his family. But those cannot be counted as new sources of engagement because they were doing the same same thing before he was banned.

Trump has posted several statements claiming that he is happy being ousted from the social media world and that he’s better off for it. But he was certainly upset with it when it happened. He called it an “insult” and “abuse” and and cried that “they shouldn’t be allowed to get away” with it. He was so distraught that he lamented that the didn’t shut down Facebook and Twitter when he was still in office. And he predicted that the social media titans would fail without him.

In the meantime, Trump did proclaim that he would return to social media with his own website that would far surpass Facebook and twitter. But his sorry excuse for a “communications platform” shut down after than less than a month due to low traffic and his embarrassment at being mocked for yet another failure.

Trump’s inability to grasp numbers has been exposed previously by his business failures. There aren’t many people who have had four casinos go bankrupt. He repeatedly misreports easily verifiable numbers for events like his poorly attended inauguration. More recently he lied about “thousands and thousands of boats” showing up to pay him tribute, when the video showed that there were at best a couple of dozen. And he also claimed, without any evidence at all, that Massive numbers of dead people ‘voted’” for him in 2020, “far greater than anyone has known or seen before.”

Let’s face it, whatever part of Trump’s brain handles numerical information is acutely defective. And along with his pathological compulsion to lie about everything, the only thing we can rely on from Trump with any confidence is unadulterated bullpucky. And that’s exactly what we’ve been getting.

WTF? Trump Regrets Not Banning Facebook and Twitter When He Was President

America really dodged a bullet (perhaps literally) when we voted Donald Trump off the island. Since his defeat to Joe Biden, Trump has proved how dangerous his sociopathic authoritarianism is. And he is apparently still not satisfied with his delusional “Big Lie” rhetoric that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him. Never mind that it incited a violent insurrection on Capitol Hill. Trump wants more.

Donald Trump Tyrant Dictator

In a statement released Tuesday, Trump revealed a significant escalation of his tyrannical aspirations. The statement was released via email to his obedient disciples because he has been suspended from Facebook, Twitter, and other platforms, for disseminating harmful lies and disinformation. This exile from social media is having a deleterious effect on his mental stability (such as it is). There is no question that he is becoming ever more paranoid and extreme. His statement reads…

“Congratulations to the country of Nigeria, who just banned Twitter because they banned their President. More COUNTRIES should ban Twitter and Facebook for not allowing free and open speech – all voices should be heard. In the meantime, competitors will emerge and take hold. Who are they to dictate good and evil if they themselves are evil? Perhaps I should have done it while I was President. But Zuckerberg kept calling me and coming to the White House for dinner telling me how great I was. 2024?

Seriously? Trump is lauding the censorious actions of a national leader for “canceling” Twitter and prodding other nations to follow suit? And he thinks that silencing everyone on Twitter is supportive of “free and open speech”? These are the ravings of a mad and desperate loser who still can’t comprehend that his suspension was his own fault. Had he complied with the same community standards that every other Twitter user abides by, he would still be tweeting.

Trump goes on to criticize those who he says are evil while dictating good and evil to others. But he is so self-unaware that he doesn’t recognize his own glaringly evil behavior. So naturally, he demonstrates that in the next sentence saying with regard to illegally shutting down Facebook and Twitter that, “Perhaps I should have done it while I was President.”

Setting aside the fact that he didn’t have any authority to ban any of the social media services he despises, his desire to to do so is chilling. After all, Trump is still threatening to run for reelection as president in 2024. The damage that he could do if reelected could make the damage he did in the previous four years pale by comparison. His totalitarian tendencies mirror those of fascist dictators from the past.

Trump’s lament that he didn’t clamp down on social media when he thought he had the chance should be enough evidence to convince sane Americans that he must never hold any political power in this country ever again. He is telling us that he intends to brutally abuse it.

It’s disturbing that so many Republicans continue to support him despite his noxious desire to rule as an unchallenged monarch. But it is up to the rest of us to make sure that neither he, nor his wannabe successors, ever have the opportunity to implement his doctrine of oppression.

Trump’s Latest Failure: His Pathetic Blog Shuts Down in Less than a Month

America’s Biggest Loser has notched another public failure and humiliation. Donald Trump’s much ballyhooed new “communications platform” has shut down permanently. This will not come as a surprise to anyone who actually read any of the bizarre and delusional musings posted by the twice-impeached, former reality TV game show host.

Donald Trump Circling the Drain

If you visit Trump’s blog now you will be redirected to a page where you can sign up for Trump alerts, which apparently nobody wanted. The page with posts from “The Desk of Donald Trump” has been completely removed. Although some of his postings are still available on what he calls a “news” page.

There was no announcement from the Trump camp that the blog would be discontinued. Which is typical of a malignant narcissist, and soggy snowflake, who still hasn’t been able to accept that he decisively lost the presidential election to Joe Biden. And now his well-deserved unpopularity has been affirmed. According to the Washington Post Trump canceled himself “because he didn’t like that this platform was being mocked and had so few readers.”

Trump apologists are already claiming that the blog was a temporary measure until he launched his own social media platform that would compete with Twitter and Facebook. But when the blog was announced it was heralded by Fox News in much grander terms:

“Former President Trump on Tuesday launched a communications platform, which will eventually give him the ability to communicate directly with his followers, after months of being banned from sites like Twitter and Facebook. […] The space will allow Trump to post comments, images, and videos.”

However, the blog never managed to draw much traffic. Even though Trump bragged that it was superior to Twitter and had millions of readers. That’s only if you count in Trumpian where massive numbers of dead people ‘voted’” in the 2020, and thousands and thousands of boats paraded in Jupiter.”

Stay tuned for future announcements of Trump’s upcoming failures, including his “real” social media platform, his next seditious insurrection, and his pitifully delusional reinstatement” to the presidency.

LOL: Fox News Reports that Trump Has Launched His (Pitifully Lame) Alt-Twitter Site

About six months ago Donald Trump was booted off of several social media sites including Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. His exile was prompted by his relentless lying, particularly about the COVID pandemic and his delusional “Big Lie” that the 2020 presidential election was “rigged” and “stolen” from him.

Donald Trump Walking the Plank

Ever since then, crybaby Trump has whined that he’s a victim of a clandestine techie cabal determined to silence him. He also promised that he would eventually return to the InterTubes with his own social media platform. And now, according to Fox News, that time has come. The announcement was made on the Fox website in an article headlined: “Trump launches new communications platform months after Twitter, Facebook ban.” It began…

“Former President Trump on Tuesday launched a communications platform, which will eventually give him the ability to communicate directly with his followers, after months of being banned from sites like Twitter and Facebook. […] The space will allow Trump to post comments, images, and videos.”

However, a link to Trump’s new “communications platform” reveals something decidedly underwhelming. Firstly, it’s just a subpage of his current website. Secondly, it’s nothing more than an old school blog. And even at that it’s lacking the standard features that exist on every other blog, including the ability for visitors to post comments. As Fox News describes it…

“The space allows Trump to post, and allows followers to share the former president’s posts to Twitter and Facebook, however, the new platform does not have a feature to allow users to “reply” or engage with Trump’s posts.”

WOW! This highly advanced technology was produced by Trump’s former campaign manager, Brad Parscale, who is currently under investigation for stealing $40 million from Trump’s campaign.

In addition to the pathetic implementation of this alt-Twitter farce, the claim that it was just launched is also untrue. Trump already has posts going back to March 24. Although the most recent post is short video that hysterically oversells the blog, saying that…

“In a time of silence and lies a beacon of freedom arises. A place to speak freely and safely. Straight from the desk of Donald J. Trump.”

Sure. A place to speak freely, but only for Trump, since no comments are allowed. And as a Trump property, you can rest assured that it will fulfill its mission to be a beacon of lies. But, for the most part, it’s primarily an outlet for Trump to vent incoherently the way he used to on Twitter. So far his posts have lashed out his critics, praised his sycophants, and always – ALWAYS – promulgating the “Big Lie.” that he’s the “real” president being oppressed by an imaginary cabal of “Deep State” usurpers.

So it’s really no different than a Trump cult rally. The same anger and hostility, The same undeserved bragging. The same feeding of his voracious ego. And the same constant avalanche of flagrant falsehoods. All wrapped up in a sorry little 1990s style weblog that isn’t even marginally interactive. It’s just another sad and humiliating failure for America’s Biggest Loser, the former reality TV game show host, and the current leader of the Republican Party.

UPDATE (Still failing): NBC News is reporting that: “The ex-president’s blog has drawn a considerably smaller audience than his once-powerful social media accounts.”

GOP Bill Would Force Twitter to Allow Trump’s Inflammatory Lies and Disinformation

The Republican Party has been engaging in a full court press to cripple democracy across the country. They tried to obstruct and/or overturn the 2020 presidential election (and Trump is still doing so). They passed bills aimed at suppressing and disenfranchising voters, particularly those of people of color. They are disseminating the racist “white replacement theory” to frighten their base that “others” are conspiring to replace them in the electorate.

Donald Trump, Toilet, Bathrobe

Now they are upping the ante by advocating trashing the Constitution in order to impose totalitarian control over social media companies who fail to comply with their demands. NBC News is reporting that…

“Florida is on track to be the first state in the nation to punish social media companies that ban politicians like former President Donald Trump under a bill approved Thursday by the state’s Republican-led Legislature. […] the proposal appears destined to be challenged in court after a tech industry trade group called it a violation of the First Amendment speech rights of corporations.”

Let’s be clear about this. Florida Republicans are seeking to force private companies to bend to their partisan political will. Social media services like Twitter and Facebook took the extraordinary step of suspending the accounts of Donald Trump after his reckless and dishonest posts led to deadly riots in Washington, D.C. by insurrections for whom he professed his love. The sole purpose of the new law is to placate Trump and make it easier for him to advance his self-serving, anti-democratic crusade. The article went on to note that “Republicans have called social media bans unfair censorship,” and that…

“The Florida bill would prohibit social media companies from knowingly ‘deplatforming’ political candidates, meaning a service could not ‘permanently delete or ban’ a candidate. Suspensions of up to 14 days would still be allowed, and a service could remove individual posts that violate its terms of service.

“The state’s elections commission would be empowered to fine a social media company $250,000 a day for statewide candidates and $25,000 a day for other candidates if a company’s actions are found to violate the law.”

The state has absolutely no legal authority to force private companies to provide a platform for any individual. The constitutional protection against censorship applies only to the government. But Florida’s Republicans argue that the wide influence of social media is cause for increased regulation. If that’s true, then shouldn’t the same principle apply to television and newspapers that also enjoy wide influence? By that standard, shouldn’t Fox News be forced to carry my stories and opinions, and be fined if they refuse?

Republicans used to believe in something called a “free market.” They insisted that business should be free of government intervention and that the marketplace should decide the winners. Trump even made that argument recently when he predicted that Twitter and Facebook would fail without him and he floated a proposal to start his own social media company.

That’s competition. And while Trump’s alt-Twitter would likely suffer a humiliating defeat, at least it would be decided in the free market. Florida’s bill upends all of that and puts the boot of autocracy on businesses that they regard as disobedient. Which is further proof that Republicans are flaming hypocrites who will discard any and all principles when they don’t adhere to their advantage.

Crybaby Trump Predicted Twitter and Facebook Would Fail Without Him – Wrong Again!

Late last year Donald Trump was feverishly ranting about the election that he lost by more than seven million votes (and he still is). He insisted that he was robbed, despite being unable to produce even a sliver of evidence. He lost more than sixty lawsuits alleging voter fraud that didn’t exist.

Donald Trump

Trump’s dissemination of that “Big Lie” eventually resulted in the deadly riots on Capitol Hill by his insurrectionist brigades who hoped to obstruct Congress from certifying the election. It also led to his banishment from many social media platforms including Twitter and Facebook.

Most Americans were relieved to be free of his noxious incoherence and lies. In fact, there was proof that his absence actually reduced misinformation online by 73%. But Trump was was crushed that he could no longer vent maniacally to his crazed cult followers. He lashed out at Twitter and Facebook, predicting that they couldn’t survive without him, claiming that he would prevail in the end. Just last week he whined that

“I’m really getting the big word out because we’re doing releases. And every time I do a release it’s all over the place. It’s more elegant than Twitter. And Twitter now is very boring. A lot of people are leaving Twitter. […] And it’s no good anymore.”

That, of course, is certifiably delusional. And the proof of that was revealed in the most recent quarterly reports by both Twitter and Facebook. These were the first full quarters after Trump’s order into exile. Twitter reported that “they project revenue will grow by 24% in the first quarter to $1 billion.” Facebook similarly reported that “revenue jumped 48% to $26.2 billion, well above analyst expectations.” There are plenty of problems with these social media services (see my note below), but profitability isn’t one one of them.

So apparently these supposedly mortally wounded businesses are actually getting along just fine. In fact, they are thriving without Trump like never before. Consequently, they probably aren’t taking his predictions seriously. Nor are they likely to be concerned about his threat to start his own social media venture. In all likelihood, any new business that Trump launches would suffer the same fate as most of his previous businesses – humiliation and bankruptcy. Which shouldn’t bother him much because, by now, America’s Biggest Loser should be used to it.

Trump Whines to Hannity that ‘Twitter is Now Very Boring’ Since He Got the Boot

One of the most satisfying consequences of Donald Trump’s defeat last November is that his subsequent desperation and lies led to his banishment from Twitter and other social media platforms. It’s been a relief to the nation not having to suffer through his bombastic incoherence every friggin’ day.

Donald Trump Pacifier Fox

A recent study actually found that banishing Trump from Twitter resulted in a 73% reduction in misinformation on the Internet. That won’t surprise anyone who knows about his record setting 30,000+ documented lies.

Not one to let such an unprecedented record for dishonesty languish, Trump made yet another appearance on Fox News to lie some more. He invited Sean Hannity down to his Mar-a-Lago bunker for some soft-balling and arse-kissing. Part One of this “interview” was typically devoid of anything remotely newsworthy. But it did add more falsehoods to his file. And the same was true with Part Two that featured this smarmy opening from Hannity (video below):

You’re canceled off Twitter. You’re canceled off social media platforms. Now, you put out your presidential statements. They go viral. You know who misses you the most? The liberal media. The mob. They hardly ever see Joe, so there’s nothing really cover there. Except to cover when he falls down climbing the stairs.

Notice that a gushing Hannity still refers to Trump’s press releases as “presidential statements,” but to President Biden as “Joe.” That was followed by this fawning exchange:

Hannity: What is the answer? Is the answer anti-trust? Is the answer ending Section 230? Is the answer Donald Trump starts his own Twitter, Facebook, Instagram? Is that something you’re considering?
Trump: Well I think all of that. But I’m really getting the big word out because we’re doing releases. And every time I do a release it’s all over the place. It’s more elegant than Twitter. And Twitter now is very boring. A lot of people are leaving Twitter. Twitter is becoming very, very boring. You know, when I started with Twitter years ago, it was like a failed thing, concept, media platform. It was failed. And it became exciting. And I think I had a lot to do with it, to be honest with you. It became very exciting. And now it is boring. And it’s no good anymore.”

First of all, is it just me or is any else nauseated by Trump’s confession that “every time I do a release it’s all over the place”? More to the point, Trump is, as usual, delusional if he thinks his press releases are “elegant.” Likewise, his assertion that Twitter was a failed “thing” before he came along, and now it’s boring in his absence, is just more evidence of his acute case of malignant narcissism. And he is still pretending that he might start his own alt-Twitter (Qwitter?).

Hannity went on to ask Trump whether he saw “the undercover video” last week. He was referring to the latest pathetic attempt by James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas to hype his alleged exposé of CNN. It was a pitifully lame interview in a bar with a low-level CNN techie who thought he was impressing O’Keefe’s female stooge. He had no managerial or decision making authority. And he revealed nothing of interest. But Trump and Hannity loved it anyway.

Trump closes by whining about Democrats, saying that “They lie, they cheat, they steal. They’re vicious.” Which is a pretty good description of himself and his Republican toadies. Then he spends his last few seconds crying and lying about having the biggest margin of vote increase ever. It’s just too bad for him that, in addition to being false, Biden got seven million more votes. Despite his best efforts to keep his chin up, he remains America’s Biggest Loser.

It’s really kind of surprising that these two don’t feel the least bit embarrassed by these bootlicking chats. They both come off looking sadly desperate and clinging to one another for support that is never forthcoming. Perhaps their cult followers in the Fox News audience are buying their schtick, but to the rest of the country they are a laughing stock. So maybe, inadvertently, they are doing us all a favor by volunteering to be disreputable clowns.

QWITTER? Trump Said to Be Returning to Social Media with His Own Alt-Twitter App

There is new hope for all of the lost souls who are wandering aimlessly since their cult leader, Donald Trump, was banished from social media. According to Trump advisor Jason Miller, the former reality TV game show host, who temporarily occupied the White House, is plotting his return to the InterTubes on a platform built by, and featuring, himself. Is this the dawn of Qwitter?

Donald Trump

There are reports that Trump was more crushed by his ouster from Twitter than from the presidency. That’s easy to believe considering the magnitude of his ego. As a malignant narcissist, Trump likely reveled in the instant feedback Twitter gave him for his pompous ponderings. And since his expulsion he has been uncharacteristically quiet. He has retreated to his Mar-a-Lago bunker with his tail between his legs to sulk and mutter under his breath about “fake” news “rigged” elections.

Or so we thought. Miller was interviewed by Howard Kurtz on his Fox News MediaBuzz program Sunday morning. And he had some news to break for forlorn StormTrumpers who have been nursing their wounds for the past four months. Not surprisingly, Miller chose to lead off with a lie (video below):

Kurtz: Donald Trump has obviously been booted off Twitter and Facebook and Instagram which were a great mega phone for him. Does he plan to try to get back on social media, perhaps with some new outfit?
Miller: You know Howard, this is really interesting.

Not really. In fact it’s rather dull. Miller prefaced his bombshell news with a long-winded tribute to Trump’s “elegant” rhetoric. He made the preposterous claim that Trump’s press releases were getting “more play than he ever did on Twitter,” but without revealing how he arrived at that mythical statistic:

“His press releases, his statements have actually been getting almost more play than he ever did on Twitter before. I’m not sure if that’s because the length of them are a bit longer. We even had one reporter say that she thought it was much more elegant, the way that the president was able to communicate his thoughts and very much looked more presidential in that longer form.”

You have to wonder if the “reporter” Miller referenced was a member of Trump’s cult. How else could anyone regard this sort of incoherence as “presidential?” But then Miller got to the main event:

“I do think that we’re going to see President Trump returning to social media in probably about two or three months here with his own platform. And this is something that I think will be the hottest ticket in social media. It’s going to completely redefine the game and everybody is going to be waiting and watching to see what exactly President Trump does. But it will be his own platform.”

Yeah, right! Trump, who has zero experience in technology enterprise, is going to produce “the hottest ticket in social media.” Trump, whose prior businesses have suffered at least six bankruptcies; whose Atlantic City casino was just demolished; whose “university” was shuttered due to fraud and corruption, and was ordered to pay restitution exceeding $25 million; whose private jet is in mothballs; whose hotels and golf courses are bleeding in debt; whose Mar-a-Lago resort is a COVID hot zone; and who is being pursued by prosecutors from Washington, New York, Florida, and Georgia.

Miller went on say that Trumps Alt-Twitter (Qwitter) “will be big once he starts,” because “everyone wants him. He’s gonna bring millions and millions, tens of millions of people to this new platform.” Trump will undoubtedly bring some people to the platform. Which will be helpful to law enforcement as they continue to investigate the insurrectionists and violent militias that Trump has inspired. They will be the core of his user base and conveniently corralled there.

What’s more, since everything Trump does is a veiled effort to enrich himself, we have to ask how much he will be charging his cult followers to use this new scam. And we can’t help but notice that Trump will be competing with his partners in political crimes, Dan Bongino (Parler), and pillow guy, Mike Lindell, who has also announced his intention to launch a social media app.

The notion that Trump could make a success of any venture like this is a joke. He was unable help bootlicking “news” outlets like Newsmax and One America News Network (OANN) become successful for more than a few weeks. And the projected timeline for Trump’s Qwitter of two to three months is another punch line. It’s reminiscent of his perpetual “Infrastructure Weeks” that never came to pass, and his better, cheaper, healthcare plan that was always two weeks away. Consequently, it would be advisable to refrain from holding your breath while waiting for this swindle to surface.

Crybaby Trump ‘Can’t Say Anything’ Due to Twitter Takedown, Whines Flack on Fox News

Donald Trump has maintained a virtual radio silence ever since his marauding horde of seditionists assaulted Congress on January 6th. It’s safe to assume he is pouting in his pantry with bags of Cheetos and watching reruns of his favorite parts of the riots as his cult disciples vandalized the Capitol and beat up law enforcement officers.

Be sure to visit and follow News Corpse on Instagram.

Donald Trump

The timeline of events now clearly shows that Trump waited hours before posting his disingenuous video asking his Troll Troops to go home and telling them that he loves them as they were ransacking America’s seat of democracy. We also know that he refused to deploy the National Guard to protect members of Congress and his own Vice-President, Mike Pence.

In defense of his deliberate negligence, White House spokesman Hogan Gidley was dispatched to Fox News to explain why Trump failed so miserably to react in a responsible manner that might have saved as many as five lives. Gidley blamed the media, telling Fox’s media correspondent Howard Kurtz that…

“The media are trying to have it both ways. On one hand he should be censored by ‘Big Tech’ and not be allowed to talk. He also shouldn’t say anything because it’s divisive. And then when he doesn’t say anything, and can’t say anything, because the platforms have removed him, they say ‘Where’s the President? Why aren’t we hearing from him?’ The whole thing’s disingenuous.”

First of all, it isn’t up to the media whether “Big Tech” suspends Trump’s posting privileges when he repeatedly violates their terms of service by advocating violence and disseminating harmful lies. It’s Trump’s responsibility to follow the rules, which he was warned about more than a hundred times. Secondly, Gidley’s complaint that Trump might be regarded as divisive is also within Trump’s sole control. In fact, he intends to be divisive.

However, the most preposterous point that Gidley proffered was the one where he claimed that Trump “can’t say anything” because Twitter suspended his account. Someone really needs to tell Gidley – and Trump – that the White House has a massive press operation that is specifically designed to put messages out to the public. They can even use more than 140 characters. What’s more, Trump has a right-wing media menu of outlets like Fox News, One America News Network (OANN), and Newsmax, to spread whatever falsehoods are clawing to get loose from their diseased craniums.

RELATED: Study Proves that Banishing Trump From Twitter Improved the Internet 73%

It’s notable that Gidley was asserting these accusatory grievances to the millions of viewers on Fox News as he was whining about having no outlet. So he knows that that channel for communications is available. Trump, however, hasn’t even made one of his self-serving phone-in interviews with the bootlickers on Fox and Friends to defend himself. it’s also notable that Kurtz didn’t bother to refute Gidley’s ludicrous claims as to Trump’s alleged inability to communicate with the public.

If the media is asking “Where’s the President,” it’s because Trump himself has decided to go into hiding in the final days of his failed term because he has no discernable excuse for the damage caused by his incompetence and malfeasance. And it’s clear that his spokesman isn’t any better able to make excuses for him either. And the same goes for Trump’s Fox News apologists. This is what the end looks like for a narcissistic sociopath with the emotional maturity of a six year old.

Study Proves that Banishing Trump From Twitter Improved the Internet 73%

On January 8th, two days after the Donald Trump Insurrectionists assaulted Congress, Twitter finally suspended his account. It was a long overdue action to prevent him from inciting further violence and disseminating ever more preposterous and self-serving lies. Unfortunately, it came after five deaths and the desecration of America’s seat of democracy.

Donald Trump, Twitter

Trump got away with exploiting social media for years, where he recklessly radicalized an intellectually challenged and emotionally vulnerable confederacy of conspiracy crackpots. He deftly manipulated them to serve his own brazenly selfish and nefarious purposes. It culminated in the riots in Washington that Trump’s deliberately inflammatory rhetoric triggered.

However, that is not the end of the story. Trump will surely continue to advance his egomaniacal aspirations. And he will be aided and abetted by Fox News. On Saturday evening, Fox’s Senior Trump-Fluffer, “Judge” Jeannine Pirro, hosted the Republican’s leading propagator of political cowplop, Jim Jordan. This excerpt from their discussion is illustrative of the deranged mindset on the right:

Pirro: To limit those who are Republicans, to literally get them off the Internet, Facebook and Twitter. I mean there is basically, not just a removal of free speech, but it is a removal of our freedom.
Jordan: Yeah. This cancel culture is dangerous. It’s the most dangerous thing going

That’s right. Removing Trump from Twitter is “the most dangerous thing going.” Clearly more dangerous than the deadly rioters that Trump incited with his incendiary and delusional tweets about election fraud. And far more dangerous than the coronavirus that Trump downplayed and allowed to spread unchecked, killing 400,000 Americans.

Fox News would never engage in that sort of “cancel culture.” Well, except that they have totally refused to give me any airtime to reveal how dishonest and dangerous they are. I mean, what’s up with that? They are removing, not just my right to free speech, but my freedom.

And it’s not like Trump deserves this online suppression. Has he ever “cancelled” anyone? Well, you know, other than cancelling Fox News whenever they have been less than unconditionally adoring or insufficiently flattering for his elephantine ego. If Fox ever permits a Trump critic to speak – even if just momentarily so they can prepare an attack – Trump immediately whines that Fox News is dead and insists that everyone stop watching and switch to even more worshipful channels like OANN or Newsmax.

What Jordan, Pirro, and Fox News continue to fail to understand is that the free speech protections in the Constitution only prohibit government censorship. Twitter is a private company with stated rules that users must comply with. They include refraining from advocating violence and disseminating falsehoods that could result in harm. Trump violated those rules regularly.

The evidence of the harm Trump caused was recently documented in a study that found that after Twitter banned Trump, “online misinformation about election fraud plunged 73 percent.” That’s a pretty revealing statistic that attests to the hypnotic influence Trump has on his cult disciples. It isn’t just an accounting of his Twitter activity, but the combined effect of the retweets and other regurgitation on the part of Trump’s followers.

The fact that Trump’s absence from Twitter and Facebook can have this profound an impact on the disinformation that circulates online is justification for removing him and any other party that seeks to mislead the public in ways that produce violence and tangible trauma to society at large. And that being the case, how about we do Fox News next?

NOTE: Twitter recently suspended the News Corpse account after 11 years without giving a reason. So if anyone wants to tweet articles from my website, please feel free to do so often and repeatedly. And you can follow this surrogate Twitter account here. Thanks for your support.
