Fox News Attacks Kamala Harris Over Fake War on Gas Stoves and Says Democrats ‘Hate Humans’

From its inception, Fox News has had a reputation as a brazenly dishonest purveyor of right-wing propaganda and partisan lies intended to advance conservative Republican agendas and politicians. It doesn’t employ credible reporters, authenticate its stories, and has never been regarded as a legitimate journalistic enterprise.

Fox News, Kamala Harris

Just this week Fox News reported that a car that ran through a U.S./Canada border checkpoint was a terrorist attack that proved that President Biden’s border policies were weak and responsible for this assault on the homeland. Of course, none of that was true. But even after it was revealed that there was no terrorism connection to the event, Fox News still wouldn’t retract or apologize for their panic-inducing, disinformation. They just diverted back to their routine bashing of Biden on unrelated matters.

SEE THIS: Biden Deftly Dunks Fox News Hack Peter Doocy’s Dumbass Questions About Age and Polls

In keeping with their mission to deliberately defame Biden and other Democrats, Fox News aired a segment on Friday evening that may be the most preposterous piece of bullpucky to hit the airwaves so far this year. Which given Fox’s proficiency with preposterousness is really saying something. The segment featured Lisa Boothe, sitting in for Laura Ingraham, interviewing Fox contributor Charlie Hurt about one of the nation’s most pressing, albeit utterly imaginary, problems: Vice-President Kamala Harris’ Thanksgiving tweet wherein she was seen using an “evil” gas stove that the cretins at Fox News think Biden is trying to ban.

Fox News has spent untold hours on this topic, which has been picked up by republicans with nothing better to do than whine about the “War on Gas Stoves,” or the “War on Cars,” or the “War on Hamburgers,” or the annual “War on Christmas.” Among the GOP warriors is Ted Cruz, who had a typically puerile response to Harris…

Still, Cruz’s response doesn’t begin to compete with the flaming idiocy of Hurt. His rabid outburst provides an explanation for how he must have gotten his name. He is literally painful to listen to…

Hurt: It’s so funny that people, they saw that, her tweet, they saw her stove. They rightly heckled and mocked her and made fun of her and ridiculed her, and then all of the Democrats got freaked out and jumped online and said, ‘Oh no, wait a minute, they don’t want to take away the gas stoves. That’s misinformation.’ No, they do want to take away the gas stoves and, in fact, they are taking away the gas stoves in any of the places where they control things.
Boothe: Why do they want to ban gas stoves?
Hurt: I think because they hate us, they hate humans, they hate joyfulness, they hate pies, they hate good food. They hate. They want us all to be miserable. They want us to suffer because when we’re not suffering, if we’re not suffering, we are, you know, we’re making things. We’re creating things. We’re joyful. We’re doing wonderful things. Everybody is happy. And that drives them crazy because they’re all miserable. They want all of America to be as miserable and unhappy and unloved as they are, and we are just not going to go along with it.

Hurt was outraged by Harris’ holiday greeting. He was beside himself with redundant glee saying that Harris was “heckled and mocked…and made fun of…and ridiculed.” Really? All of those? Then he invents his own characterization of Democrats as being “freaked out” by the glaring misrepresentation of Harris’ Thanksgiving tweet. He should see Trump’s Thanksgiving message to his cult…

HOLY SHIH TZU: Trump’s Heartwarming Thanksgiving Message Drips with Dread and Hate for His Legions of Enemies

However, if anyone was freaked out, it was Hurt. His overwrought reaction to this non-event is epically asinine. To suggest that Democrats hate “humans,” “joyfulness,” “pies,” and “good food,” is beyond derangement. And to elaborate by accusing all Democrats of being “miserable” and wanting the American people to “suffer” turns the lunatic dial up way past eleven. Furthermore, Hurt really needs to be more specific as to what “joyful,” “wonderful” things he and is ilk are creating when they’re happy. Is it screeds like the one he just disgorged?

For the record, the Biden administration is not – and never has been – trying to ban gas stoves, or any of the other items or holidays that Fox News claims there is a war on. In fact, Biden’s press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, was asked about this by Fox News earlier this year. She responded with a quote by the Chair of the Consumer Product Safety Commission saying that…

“Research indicates that emissions from gas stoves can be hazardous and the CPSC is looking for ways to reduce related indoor air quality hazards…But to be clear, I am not looking to ban gas stoves and the CPSC has no proceeding to do so.”

For emphasis, Jean-Pierre added that “the President does not support banning gas stoves.” But somehow, the administration’s official reply to the question – posed by a Fox News correspondent – never got back to Fox News and the dimwits disseminating this nonsense. Or more likely, it did get back to them, but they just don’t care.

At fox News it would be an unforgivable betrayal of their commitment to distorting the “news” if they were to diverge from the far-right slant to which they have pledged their allegiance. And their contracts likely stipulate that they must always be waging a war on something, and more often than not, it’s reality.

BE AFRAID: Trump is Scared that the New York Post Has ‘Gone Bad’ and May Soon ‘Be No More’

On this All Hallows Eve the Creature From the Black (Mar-a) Lagoon is prowling the Interwebs with his plaintive whines and sharpened combover in search of weakened RINOs and the fearsome “Fake News.” In his corporal disguise as Desperate Donald Trump, he is casting infantile insults at his perceived foes, which includes those on whom he used to depend for propaganda and adoring affirmation.

Donald Trump, Fox News, Halloween

Forsaking the season’s traditions of entertaining children and dispensing sweets, Trump was up late posting pathetic comments on his pitifully failing social media scam, Truth Social. At 1:12 AM Trump yowled “REMEMBER, CROOKED JOE BIDEN AND HIS RADICAL LEFT THUGS WAITED THREE YEARS TO BRING THESE INDICTMENTS & LAWSUITS AGAINST ME, RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF MY CAMPAIGN!” Then, at 4:24 AM, he re-posted the same comment, cryptically adding “ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!” These are laments that have lately been consuming his oatmeal-like brain matter.

SEE THIS: Trump is FREAKING OUT, Saying that His Trials Should Have Started Before He Committed His Crimes

As the day wore on, Trump’s tantrums became more pronounced and less coherent. And by midday he was in a rage over some undisclosed offense committed by the New York Post, the sister newspaper to Rupert Murdoch’s Fox News. Trump wailed that…

“Since the New York Post went bad on Trump – and they have gone bad – their numbers have fallen tremendously. People aren’t buying it. They don’t wanna read that. The New York Post has treated me great for almost a lifetime. And now, for whatever reason – and I guess it’s radical left or the RINO stuff – they have gone really bad, and it’s ridiculous. But their numbers are down. The numbers of readers and everything else have gone down tremendously. Great people are tired of hearing fake news. The New York Post used to be so good, but not anymore. We have to get it back before it’s too late. Because frankly, if they don’t change, there will be no more New York Post. And that would be sad.”

Judging by his babbling repetition, Trump is apparently of the opinion that the New York Post has “gone bad” and that that is “sad.” He doesn’t bother to back up his claims that “their numbers have fallen tremendously,” but anyone who has paid attention to the print news business knows that most newspapers have suffered declines in the digital age, and that it has nothing to do with being insufficiently worshipful toward Trump.

Perhaps Trump is upset in sympathy with the Post’s White House correspondent, Steven Nelson, who has been bitterly complaining that Biden’s press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, hasn’t called on him lately. A couple of weeks ago he barked that “You haven’t called on me in two seasons Karine.” To which she replied, “And I’m not calling on you today.”

Now he’s lashed out again after trying to ask a political question about the 2024 presidential election, which would be improper for White House personnel to comment on. After Jean-Pierre told him that she wasn’t going to answer his question, he yelled out that “It’s anti-democratic to refuse questions from our country’s fourth largest newspaper, Karine.”

Maybe he should try asking proper questions, rather than making political attacks in costumes covering up his thinly veiled MAGA motives. [Note: Steven Nelson of the Post advises me that he was not the reporter who asked the political question. That was an assumption based on the video clip above that was unclear and unwarranted].

It’s all pretty darn terrifying. Especially Trump’s obvious psychotic collapse. If only this was just a Halloween prank. But it is all too apparent that Trump is in a downward spiral that is noticeably accelerating. And it is horrific that he still attracts a small but noisy band of glassy-eyed disciples who want him back in the White House. And that, to put it mildly, would be sad.

Republicans in Congress are Holding Israelis Hostage to Aid for Wealthy American Tax Cheats

It may be difficult to imagine these days, but there used to be certain issues that Democrats and Republicans agreed on. Most prominently were those issues that addressed national security and a commitment to our international allies. But in the era of Donald Trump and his MAGA cult, the best interests of America have been scrapped in favor ultra-partisanship and devotion to an aspiring authoritarian figurehead.

Republican Cash

Evidence of the degradation of congressional comity is painfully apparent in the proposal by the new Republican Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, to provide emergency humanitarian aid to Israel. While he has only been in the Speaker’s chair for a week, Johnson has already demonstrated that he is an extremist conservative whose priorities could not be farther away from those of the American people.

SEE THIS: Speaker Mike Johnson is Already Pushing the Phony Biden Impeachment, Despite Having No Evidence

President Biden has offered a plan to aid Israel in its fight against Hamas terrorists. The plan also includes aid to our allies in Ukraine and funding for border security. But while Senate Republicans and Democrats are both supporting Biden’s proposal, Johnson and Republicans in the House have refused to consider it. They have instead put forward their own bill that pairs the emergency aid for Israel with offsetting cuts to the federal budget, specifically the funding that Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act provided to the IRS.

One of the reasons that Republicans oppose Biden’s proposal is because they object to joining two separate subjects (Israel and Ukraine) in the same bill. But that’s exactly what the GOP is doing with their proposal for aid to Israel combined with slashing IRS funding. So they think that it’s wrong to pair aid for two allies whose people are being slaughtered by terrorist aggressors, but it’s okay to pair humanitarian aid with a budget cut that will allow wealthy American tax cheats to get away with their crimes. Good to know.

What’s more, Republicans are framing their phony legislation as offsetting the aid for Israel with federal budget cuts elsewhere. But cutting the IRS budget will only reduce the revenue that the agency is able to generate. Which the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimates would be $200 billion over a decade. So the effect of the GOP bill is to increase the deficit by spending on aid for Israel, and increasing the deficit even more by further reducing revenue.

SEE ALSO: Fox News Fear Mongers that Biden’s IRS Agents Will ‘Hunt Down and Kill Middle Class Taxpayers’

This is a double hit on the debt that leaves our allies in Ukraine in grave peril, and lets the tax cheats who finance Republican campaigns off the hook. But that isn’t all. It would also make it harder for the IRS to investigate and sanction unlawful funding for worldwide terrorism. And because the GOP bill has little chance of passing in the Senate or getting the President’s signature, it is also imperiling the aid to Israel. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre addressed these matters saying that…

“Politicizing our national security interests is a nonstarter. Demanding offsets for meeting core national security needs of the United States – like supporting Israel and defending Ukraine from atrocities and Russian imperialism – would be a break with the normal, bipartisan process and could have devastating implications for our safety and alliances in the years ahead.”

Make no mistake, Republicans don’t care about Israel or Ukraine or the deficit or even border security. They are focused solely on throwing a monkey wrench into anything that Biden proposes. It’s a brazenly political ploy to create legislative chaos, and then try to blame Biden and Democrats for it. They tried that before with the debt ceiling and the government shutdown, but it didn’t work. Undeterred, they still think that they will be able to attack Democrats for voting against the aid for Israel, even though it was the Republicans’ deliberate poison pill in the bill that doomed it to failure.

The American people, however, are smarter than Republicans give them credit for. And the GOP will be exposed for, once again, putting party before country, even at the expense of innocent lives. This is the agenda of the new GOP Speaker and the razor-thin Republican majority in the House. And their callousness, greed, hypocrisy, and anti-Americanism will not be forgotten when voters go to the polls next November.

Fox News Hack Peter Doocy Out Doocys Himself With a Week of Pitifully Puerile Questions

The abundance of significantly newsworthy events this week has challenged the media to properly cover them all. They have had to make time for a historic ousting of the Republican House Speaker, Kevin McCarthy, the ongoing battle to fund the government and avoid a devastating shutdown, the trial of Donald Trump for financial fraud, the GOP’s collapsing Biden impeachment inquiry hearings, and much more.

Fox News, Peter Doocy

Naturally, the ego-tastic Trump has endeavored to make himself the center of attention regardless of what the topic of any news story might be. Not because he has anything useful to contribute, but in the service of his three obsessions: 1) His fears related to his numerous criminal cases. 2) His compulsion to fleece his flock for more funds. and 3) His desperate efforts to return to the White House so that he can exploit it to do more about #1 and #2.

RELATED: Trump is Big Mad at Fox News For Daring to Talk About Republican Candidates Not Named Trump

Meanwhile, Fox News White House correspondent, Peter Doocy, is striving to maintain his role as the leading “Stupid S.O.B.” (as President Biden so fittingly described him) in the White House briefing room. Rather than asking questions about any of the above matters that are actual news stories, Doocy has been demonstrating just how asinine a wannabe “reporter” can be if he puts his deficient mind to it. What follows are some of the questions that Doocy considered to be of critical importance to the American people this week.

October 2: “So did President Biden ever try to get out of a meeting by pulling a fire alarm?”
You have to wonder what Doocy thought the answer to this question might be, or how it would serve the public to hear it.

October 3: “If President Biden’s policies are helping bring crime down, would he be comfortable with somebody borrowing his Corvette and parking it on the street overnight in southeast D.C.?”
Right! Because where Biden parks his car, and how the local D.C. police department protects the citizens of the community is just what America wants to know more about.

October 4: “Is any part of the West Wing just loving the fact that Republicans don’t appear to be able to govern the one part of the government that they actually control.”
Apparently Doocy thinks that the administration sits around chuckling at the notion that the Republican-led House is too dysfunctional to pass any legislation that might help the nation, including the White House’s legislation.

October 4: “There are some new pictures of Commander Biden biting a staffer again. How many times has that dog bitten the Bidens?” […] “Isn’t the president worried about getting sued?”
Once again, Doocy is doggedly digging into the heart of matters that will determine the fate of America.

October 4: “Has anybody in the West Wing heard anybody talking about the possibility of Speaker Trump?”
Because Doocy (and the nation) needs to know if people in the White House are as obsessed with idiotic fantasies that will never happen as he and Fox News are.

Yes, as you can see in the videos, those are all real questions. That’s what the official White House correspondent at Fox News is asking daily in the White House briefing room. And the week is only half over. The answers supplied by Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, demonstrate both her intelligence and patience. A less tolerant press secretary would have booted Doocy from the room, and from the White House press corps, a long time ago.

Fox News White House Hack, Peter Doocy, Wants to Know Why Biden’s Staff ‘Treat Him Like a Baby’

The absolute dearth of spreadable pseudo-scandals is hitting Fox News especially hard these days. And President Biden’s near flawless presidency isn’t helping matters any for the propagandists at Fox. The success of the President’s agenda is forcing right-wing media to dig ever deeper into their bag of bullsh*t to find suitable slander.

Fox News, Peter Doocy, Karine Jean-Pierre

The folks at Fox News must be remembering fondly the days when they were able to yammer endlessly about the horror of Biden eating ice cream or riding his bike. And of course, anything remotely involving Hunter Biden and his “laptop from hell.”

RELATED: Biden Slams Fox News’ Peter Doocy for Lying in Question About Talking Business with Hunter

The Fox News White House correspondent, Peter Doocy, has always been at the front of the line to disparage Biden with baseless – and frequently bizarre – allegations stuffed into awkwardly loaded questions. On Tuesday he didn’t bother to disguise his bias at all when he aske White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, the following question…

Doocy: President Biden is the oldest president in U.S. History. Why does White House staff treat him like a baby?
Jean-Pierre: No one treats the President of the United States, the commander in chief like a baby. That’s a ridiculous claim.
Doocy: There’s this book that says when staff walked back what sounded like the call for regime change in Russia, the President quote, ‘Rather than owning the failure he fumes to friends about how he was treated like a toddler. Was John Kennedy ever babied like that?’
Jean-Pierre: Look. I’ll say this. There’s gonna always be a range of books about every administration, as you know, that’s gonna have a variety of claims. […] We dispute the context of the excerpt. And it seems to be making the opposite point about how the value of his experience and wisdom resulted in rallying the free world against authoritarianism.

First of all, Jean-Pierre was wrong about no one treating a president like a baby. Trump’s staff did it for four years. They literally had to dumb-down documents that they showed him so that he could understand them. And they even spiced up his Daily Security Briefs (not that he would bother to read or pay attention to them), inserting charts and pictures and his name in order to ensure that he would remain interested.

More to the point, Doocy was referring to the book (that he didn’t bother to identify) The Last Politician by Frank Foer. The book does contain the exchange above, but what Biden was talking about was his staff clarifying his remarks in a way that “creat[ed] the impression that they had cleaned up his mess.” It had nothing to do with policy and was not a blanket complaint about how he was treated. It was about style, not substance, and was a one-off critique.

This is, however, typical of the shoddy and partisan inquisitions engaged in by Doocy and others at Fox News. His record of asking utterly ludicrous questions that are actually thinly disguised accusations speaks for itself. What follows is a brief sampling of some his more humiliating moments…

Squeaker McCarthy’s Debt Default Deceit is Wrecked By WH Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre

As the deadline for avoiding a catastrophic economic default rapidly approaches, the dishonest rhetoric of Republicans – led by GOP House Squeaker, Kevin McCarthy – escalates to absurd proportions as they remain steadfast in refusing to honor the full faith and credit of the United States by raising the debt ceiling, as previous Congresses have done.

Kevin McCarthy, House Speaker (Squeaker), Donald Trump

The determination of Republicans to tank the economy has been evident for months. They hope to use the suffering that they would create to boost their political prospects in 2024. It’s a cynical and callous strategy that exposes their insensitivity to the hardships it would impose on the American people. And they are supported in this sinister scheme by right-wing media, especially Fox News.

SEE ALSO: Sean Hannity and Marjorie Taylor Greene Conspire to Blackmail America with Debt Ceiling Default

The latest example of the GOP’s disinformation campaign was contained in a tweet by McCarthy that completely misrepresented reality to blame the current chaos on President Biden. Fortunately, Biden’s press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, was there to set the record straight in the most succinct and devastating way…

McCarthy thought he could just brush aside the fact that it was Donald Trump who contributed the most substantial portion of the nation’s current outstanding debt. But Jean-Pierre’s observation provided a stark contrast between the $800.00 that McCarthy is whining about and the $20,000.00 that he’s ignoring.

What’s more, McCarthy is making an utterly false assertion that the increased debt that he is misattributing to Biden actually ends up as funds that Americans have to pay each month. In reality, nobody’s monthly expenses go up as a result of this. It is just tacked onto the accumulated national debt and paid for by future tax revenue. Which, by the way, McCarthy refuses to discuss increasing by revoking the tax cuts that Trump and the GOP gifted to America’s corporations and the wealthy. He won’t even entertain closing tax loopholes or auditing tax cheaters.

However, the cuts that McCarthy is holding the nation hostage for, in order to force his broadly unpopular agenda down the country’s throat, actually do cost people real money in reductions to benefits for Social Security, Medicare, veterans aid, food assistance, infrastructure improvement, education costs, and much more. That amounts to thousands of dollars for millions of Americans, rather than the $800.00 that McCarthy is babbling about.

If McCarthy was truly interested in reducing the debt, he would do what Biden and the Democrats have been doing that resulted in the deficit declining by $1.4 trillion last year. And for the record, Trump increased the debt by nearly $8 trillion dollars – much of that due to his tax cuts that benefited his Mar-a-Lago guests – and ne’er a word of criticism was heard from the GOP or Fox News.

But then again, if McCarthy was truly interested in anything that the American people want, he and his party wouldn’t be so reviled by so many.

Does the White House Consider Fox News a News Organization? Let’s Ask the WH Press Secretary

The question as to the legitimacy of Fox News is not one that has been difficult to answer. It was designed from the start to be a right-wing propaganda dispenser by its founders, Rupert Murdoch (an ultra-conservative newspaper baron), and Roger Ailes (a Republican media consultant). That’s not exactly a roster of reputable journalists.

Click here to Tweet this article

Fox News, Peter Doocy, Karine Jean-Pierre

Twenty-seven years later, Fox News has exceeded the aspirations of its politically prejudiced founders. In recent weeks the network has been exposed as being brazenly dishonest. Internal communications made public by Dominion Voting Systems in their defamation lawsuit against Fox reveal that its executives and hosts were telling their viewers one thing, while saying the opposite to one another in private.

RELATED: Hannity Admits in Fox News Lawsuit that ‘I Did Not Believe [Trump’s Big Lie] for One Second’

Those depositions affirm that Fox News knew very well that there was no truth to their “reporting” of fraud in the 2020 presidential election. While they were lying to their viewers on the air, they were discussing privately among themselves about the “crazy” and “idiotic” assertions that Donald Trump had actually won. They even openly disparaged Trump as dangerous confessed their personal hatred for him.

The subject of the Dominion vs Fox News lawsuit came up Friday on MSNBC’s “Alex Wagner Tonight.” Wagner prefaced a question addressing the matter during an interview with White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, by noting that “The White House has been fairly outspoken about what’s happening in certain Republican circles – specifically, what’s going on over at Fox News.” Which led to the following exchange…

Wagner: Does the White House consider Fox News a news organization?

Jean-Pierre: I’ll say this. When you look at the depositions that have been out there recently, it even states from FOX leadership that they do not see Tucker Carlson’s show as news or even truthful. That is coming from the FOX News leadership. That is not coming from me. That is coming from them.

I also would quote – I’ll paraphrase here – what the Chief of Capitol Police said. He said essentially when you watch Tucker Carlson as it relates to January 6th, it is misleading, and it is misinformation as with the conclusion of what happened on January 6th, the attacks that happened. As you saw from the President’s statement, nearly 140 officers were injured on that day. It was an attack on our democracy. It was an attack on our constitution. And you cannot whitewash that. Tucker Carlson cannot whitewash that.

Wagner: So, I’m gonna say that sort of sounds like the White House doesn’t think Fox is a news organization, but we gotta leave it there.

Jean-Pierre correctly noted that Fox News itself has defended its hosts (successfully) in defamation lawsuits by arguing that “no reasonable person” would take what they say seriously. Fox News lawyers singled out Tucker Carlson saying that

“[Carlson] cannot be understood to have been stating facts, but instead that he was delivering an opinion using hyperbole for effect. [and that] given Mr. Carlson’s reputation, any reasonable viewer ‘arrive[s] with an appropriate amount of skepticism’ about the statements he makes.”

In other words, Carlson is a known liar whose commentaries can be dismissed out of hand as the ravings of a dishonest blowhard. And the evidence from the Dominion case drives that point home. The problem with this legal argument, however, is that Fox’s viewers are not remotely reasonable. Consequently, there is real and measurable harm done to millions of feeble-minded cultists.

While Jean-Pierre didn’t give a definitive yes or no answer, the gist of her response was plainly evident. Wagner got the message and rephrased it as an affirmative. Jean-Pierre smiled knowingly, and didn’t challenge Wagner’s interpretation. What’s more, the fact that Fox News is not a news organization was an opinion that the Biden administration held from the first days of its term. And they said so explicitly…

“Biden’s aides also promised not to allow outlets to use the briefings to spread baseless conspiracies. ‘We expect reporters covering the White House to operate in good faith and tell their audience the truth, and this White House will do the same. We are moving forward with that mutual understanding,’ […] ‘Organizations or individuals who traffic in conspiracy theories, propaganda and lies to spread disinformation will not be tolerated.”

If the Biden press team, as well as the White House Correspondent’s Association, were to adhere to those principles, they would be required to ban Fox News from all White House media events, including the daily briefings. And the revelations from the Dominion case provide the strongest argument yet to impose that ban.

A pseudo-news operation like Fox should not be credentialed so that it can masquerade as legitimate journalism. At the very least, they should be required to acknowledge their lies, apologize to their audience, their peers, and the nation, and take reparative action (i.e. fire Fox CEO Suzanne Scott, as well as hosts Carlson, Sean Hannity, and other offenders) before their credentials are restored. Short of that they should be shunned and banished to the pod swamps with the likes of Alex Jones and Steve Bannon.

WTFox? Fox News Hack Asks Press Secretary if the White House is Going to Shut Down Twitter

The melodrama engulfing Twitter since it was devoured by the American oligarch, Elon Musk, is spinning ever more ludicrous plots. And in keeping with the themes dictated by Donald Trump, they generally involve some wealthy wingnut’s paranoid delusions of persecution and victimhood. Poor little billionaires.

Fox News, Peter Doocy, Karine Jean-Pierre

Whenever there is some feigned offense as perceived by the uber-elites, the Fox News propaganda machine can be relied upon to pursue its mission of spreading disinformation on behalf of Trump’s Republican Cult Party. Central to that undertaking is the Fox News White House correspondent, Peter Doocy, whose role has always been to manufacture preposterous narratives for his network’s news mangling.

RELATED: WH Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre to Fox News’ Peter Doocy: That’s a Ridiculous Question

On Wednesday Doocy assumed his position in the White House press room to fulfill his assignment for the day. He quickly excreted another contrived and bizarre scenario that wasted everyone’s time and forced the Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, to school him on some basic principles of communication and free speech.

Doocy: When are you guys gonna delete the White House Twitter account?
Jean-Pierre: Why would we do that?
Doocy: Well, you say that you’re keeping an eye on Twitter because it might not be a suitable platform. So why use it?

It’s difficult to comprehend just how inept and unqualified Doocy is for the job he’s allegedly doing. Unless, that is, you accept that his job is to babble incoherently in pursuit of what he thinks is a “gotcha” question. Obviously the White House can post comments on Twitter that convey their positions without embracing everything about the site that is troublesome. But Doocy needed the remedial explanation…

Jean-Pierre: I want to be very clear here. The President has always said, and he has been very clear in his belief that it is important for social media platforms to continue to take steps to reduce hate speech and misinformation. And he will continue to say that. But media platforms make independent choices about the information that they present. So I don’t have anything to share on any policy or any changes that we will be making. We have multiple platforms, as you know, that we utilize to communicate with the American people.
Doocy: You say that you’re gonna be monitoring the speech on there. If you see something that you don’t like, would you try to shut Twitter down?
Jean-Pierre: When you talk about monitoring, I hate to break it to you Peter, just like everybody else, we very much monitor the news. We pay close attention to everything that you all are reporting. And Twitter is in the news a lot. And that’s what we’re paying attention to. We’re paying attention to what is in the news and what is being reported on the misinformation that’s out there.

Doocy’s laughably illogical leap to the conclusion that the White House would consider “shutting Twitter down” is representative of the mindset of Fox News and the radical right. It’s what they would do. All Jean-Pierre was saying is that misinformation and hate speech are tangible threats to the welfare of the public, and that Twitter and other social media outlets have an obligation to conduct reasonable moderation. But Doocy failed to grasp Jean-Pierre’s clearly articulated point that it is the company’s obligation, not the government.

For the record, the only presidential administration that ever actually threatened to shut down Twitter was that of the former reality TV game show host, Donald Trump.

RELATED: WTF? Trump Regrets Not Banning Facebook and Twitter When He Was President

It is also notable that Trump filed a truly idiotic First Amendment lawsuit against Twitter (which was quickly dismissed), and beseeched his glassy-eyed cult followers to quit Twitter, which he asserted should be outlawed. For more on those execrable exploits, see the following…

Funny, neither Doocy nor Fox News ever had any problem with any of that. They are obviously pro-totalitarian dictatorship when the dictator is Trump of any other Republican.

WH Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre to Fox News’ Peter Doocy: That’s a Ridiculous Question

Fox News White House correspondent. Peter Doocy, has suffered innumerable humiliations due to his persistently shallow and starkly partisan questions. He spent two years being spanked by former White House Press Secretary, Jen Psaki, and now the same thing is happening with current Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre.

There’s a reason that Doocy repeatedly engages in preposterous propaganda. There’s a reason that he never tires of making a fool of himself. There’s a reason that he’s always around when a new distraction needs to be invented. The reasons are always built around the same idiocies. And even President Biden has observed it and commented on it…

On Wednesday Doocy sought to land what he surely thought was a punishing “gotcha” question. Instead, he sputtered out an inquiry that didn’t even make sense. And Jean-Pierre dispatched it quickly in this exchange…

Doocy: Following up on your comment that there’s an alarming number of Republicans who are saying they are not going to accept election results, Does that mean President Biden thinks it is a threat to democracy if somebody votes Republican?
Jean-Pierre: No, that’s a ridiculous question.
Doocy: Why is that a ridiculous question?
Jean-Pierre: Because the American people should have the right to vote for whoever they want. That voting is a sacred right. It is something that the President wants to protect at every turn. And he has done that. He has taken actions to protect the right to vote. And you see Democrats in Congress also doing the work to protect the right to vote.

The tortured “logic” of Doocy’s question is difficult to find. There are in fact “an alarming number of Republicans who [won’t] accept election results.” And, by definition, those Republicans can pose a threat to democracy if they act on their manifestly anti-democratic views. But that doesn’t mean that Biden thinks it’s a threat to democracy if someone votes for any Republican. Unlike many Republicans, Biden believes exactly what Jean-Pierre said: that people have the right to vote for whoever they chose.

Biden isn’t opposed to the two party system. Rather he, like most Americans, is opposed to opportunistic, demagogic politicians who seek to undermine democracy in order to obtain power in defiance of the will of the people. Doocy is apparently too dense to be able to grasp these concepts. Which is why he keeps getting smacked down every time he tries to inject his biases into his pitifully partisan questions.

However, Doocy’s incompetence is precisely why Fox News gave him the job. He is fulfilling the Fox mission to always contrive crackpot controversies. So this may be a good time to present a reminder of…

Peter Doocy of Fox News Flops Trying to ‘Gotcha’ White House Press Sec Karine Jean-Pierre

The recent history of Donald Trump’s crusade to promulgate the “Big Lie” that the 2020 presidential election was “rigged” and “stolen” from him has been validated by numerous sources from across the political spectrum. Even members of Trump’s own administration declared the election legitimate and its results conclusive.

That, however, has not deterred Fox News from perpetuating blatant falsehoods and attempting to deflect from the facts with their circus sideshow stunts. The ringleader for these antics is Fox’s White House correspondent, Peter Doocy.

On Tuesday afternoon Doocy demonstrated once again how distant he is from practicing actual journalism. In an exchange with White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, Doocy was dissatisfied with the relevant questions that other reporters were asking, so he interjected his own ludicrous diversion. But, as usual, it was so weak that he was quickly whack-a-moled back into his hole…

Doocy: You tweeted Trump stole an election. You tweeted Brian Kemp stole an election. If denying election results is extreme now, why wasn’t it then?
Jean-Pierre: Let’s be really clear. That comparison that you made is just ridiculous. I was talking specifically at that time about what was happening with voting rights, and what was endangering voting rights. That’s what I was speaking to at the time. And here’s the thing. I have said Gov. Kemp won. President Trump won the election of 2016. And I’ve been clear about that. What we are talking about right now…Let’s not forget what happened on January 6th, 2021. We saw an insurrection, a mob, that was incited by the person who occupied this campus, this facility, at that time. And it was an attack on our democracy. Let’s not forget, people died that day. Law enforcement were attacked that day. That was the danger we were seeing at the time. That was what the President has called out. And that’s what he’s gonna continue to call out.”

Indeed, Doocy’s question was ridiculous for the reasons Jean-Pierre stated. But at least he sort of conceded that “denying election results is extreme.” However,l that isn’t what Jean-Pierre did. She never sought to undermine faith in democracy itself. She was speaking narrowly about the means by which Republicans sought to make voting more difficult for citizens that they assumed would vote against Republicans.

They did this through gerrymandering, closing polling places in Democratic districts, limiting, or cutting entirely, early voting, reducing access to polling places and ballot drop boxes, and other nefarious methods of suppressing the votes of non-Republicans. They even made it illegal to offer food or water to voters who were forced to wait in lines for hours, which only seemed to happen in Democratic precincts.

For the record, the tweets that Doocy referred were posted by Jean-Pierre before she her White House employment. And they were not remotely equivalent to Trump’s wholly fictional allegations of election fraud. One was a response to a bizarre Trump tweet advising that China be allowed to keep an American drone that they had recovered:

The other tweet was a response to an admission by Brian Kemp that he had badly misunderstood the scientific facts about COVID-19.

In both cases Jean-Pierre was making the point that the elections in question were marred, not by fraud, but by dishonesty and efforts to distort the process. And she never disavowed or disputed the outcomes, as Trump and his cohorts in politics and the press are still doing.

Doocy likely knows the difference, but doesn’t care. He thinks that he has latched onto something that he can use to embarrass the White House. Unfortunately for him, he’s only embarrassing himself by dredging up ancient tweets that had nothing to do with the Biden administration, and are utterly irrelevant to Trump’s “Big Lie” about the 2020 election. He is, once again, wasting the time of everyone in the Press Room. And he’s only succeeding at affirming how pitifully unprepared he is for the job he got because his father is a Fox News host.
