R U KIDDING? Trump Offers to ‘Head Up Group’ to Negotiate an End to Russia’s War on Ukraine

One of Donald Trump’s favorite reality defying rhetorical maneuvers is to insist that some recent circumstance would never have happened if he were still president. He’s used it to claim that there would have been no inflation, that the U.S. would have left Afghanistan peacefully, that COVID would have disappeared, and essentially that his perpetual occupation of the White House would mean eternal paradise on earth. He’d probably say that there would have been no hurricane if he were still king.

Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin

Perhaps more often than any other of these preposterous claims was Trump’s insistence that Russia would not have invaded Ukraine if he were president. Trump employs this sort of baseless speculation because it is impossible to disprove an imaginary past. However, it is easy to conclude from past behavior that if Trump were in office when Russia chose to attack Ukraine that he would have been on Russia’s side. And he surely would not have provided assistance to Ukraine, whose president he extorted in an attempt to get him to dig up dirt on then-candidate Joe Biden. Which is why he got impeached the first time.

RELATED: Trump Reveals He Talked to Putin About Invading Ukraine, But Stiffed Them on Military Aid Anyway

On Wednesday morning Trump posted a comment on his floundering social media scam, Truth Social, that once again asserted his fabrications as fact. And he went further to propose himself as the universal solver of any and every problem that humans face…

“U.S. ‘Leadership’ should remain ‘cool, calm, and dry’ on the SABOTAGE of the Nord Stream Pipelines. This is a big event that should not entail a big solution, at least not yet. The Russia/Ukraine catastrophe should NEVER have happened, and would definitely not have happened if I were President. Do not make matters worse with the pipeline blowup. Be strategic, be smart (brilliant!), get a negotiated deal done NOW. Both sides need and want it. The entire World is at stake. I will head up group???”

First of all, Trump’s perception of himself as “cool, calm, and dry” is downright hysterical. He is without peer as America’s most mentally unbalanced politician ever. Secondly, Trump’s concern about the Nord Stream pipeline explosion is difficult to take seriously. He has already blamed it on the Biden administration without any proof whatsoever. That, of course, is typical of his “Blame America First” tendencies. The last thing he would ever do is criticize his hero and mentor, Vladimir Putin.

However, the peak of Trump’s lunacy is revealed in his deranged proposal that he should “head the group” dispatched to negotiate an end to the Russian aggression against Ukraine. That would be like sending Himmler to represent the Allies in peace talks with Hitler. We know whose side Trump is on. He has already called for appeasement of Russia, including his solution to let Putin annex parts of Eastern Ukraine.

RELATED: Trump’s ‘Solution’ to the War in Ukraine is to Appease Russia and Quash Any Criticism of Putin

Trump’s latest comment is another suggestion that Ukraine “get a negotiated deal done NOW.” But why should Ukraine agree to any Russian demand for territory that doesn’t belong to them? Ukraine is winning this war and can prevail with the support of Western allies.

Trump, on the other hand, is is waving the white flag of surrender. And that’s the sort of cowardly, traitorous “leadership” that he has provided in the past and would provide in the future if he were ever to regain power in the U.S. He’s telling us so explicitly. We must not allow it to happen.

Tucker Carlson Dumps All Over the GOP ‘Commitment to America’ – ‘There’s Nothing Real In It’

Just like Leap Year, Tucker Carlson of Fox News says something that is marginally coherent once every four years or so. Although when he does it is usually spiked with some ulterior political motive or the result of an accidental slip into the realm of reality. More often than not Carlson is steadfastly fixated on his white supremacist, pro-authoritarian points of view.

Click here to Tweet this article

Fox News, Tucker Carlson

On Monday Carlson diverged from his customary knee-jerk, Trump-fluffing screed to shower some pretty harsh criticism on the Republican Party he ordinarily props up. The tongue lashing delivered by Tuckums concerned the recently released “Commitment to America” – the GOP House minority leader Kevin McCarthy’s hastily cobbled together policy statement that he intended to boost the Republican’s waning prospects for the midterm election. Releasing this pitifully shallow rehash of the 1994 Newt Gingrich “Contract with America” just six weeks before the election was a clear act of desperation on McCarthy’s part.

RELATED: REALLY? Tucker Carlson Accuses Kevin McCarthy of Being ‘a Puppet of the Democratic Party’

McCarthy’s “commitment” included such vague banalities as creating “an economy that’s strong,” “a nation that’s safe,” “a future that’s built on freedom” and “a government that’s accountable.” Those goals, however, are diametrically opposed to what Republicans have done in practice. Particularly their record on producing weak economies and foregoing accountability for their lawless leaders (e.g. Donald Trump). Carlson appears to agree. He raged at Republicans saying that…

“House Republicans just spelled out what they’re running on. It’s a document called the ‘Commitment to America.’ It’s fine. Probably not much in it you disagree with. Have you heard of it? No. You probably haven’t. You probably haven’t read it. Nobody really cares. Why? Because there’s nothing real in it.

“There’s not a single word in that document about the attacks on the American family that you see every day. That’s at the center of most people’s concerns. How are my kids? Will they have a life that resembles mine? That was called the American Dream. Does it still exist? Will they be able to afford to live the way they grew up? Will they have the opportunities that we had? No! People are upset about that. Why wouldn’t they be? But nobody says it.”

So Carlson is worried about whether the GOP plan will permit his children to enjoy the elitist life of leisure that he was born into. He can’t grasp that his questions make no sense to a low-income family that isn’t especially anxious for their kids to have a life that resembles theirs.

The crux of Carlson’s opposition to McCarthy’s folly is that it doesn’t restore the kind of America that Carlson hankers for. It’s an America that looks backwards to the one his parents lived in. Which is one where women and minorities were still second-class citizens who weren’t threatening the rightful superiority of his racial and social stratum. And he’s likewise worried that McCarthy’s plan doesn’t openly embrace the autocratic principles of his heroes, such as Vladimir Putin and Viktor Orbán.

SEE: Tucker Carlson of Fox News Rattles Off His Ridiculous Reasons for Why You Shouldn’t Hate Putin and Fox News Fascinista, Tucker Carlson, Cozies Up to Hungary’s Authoritarian PM Orbán

Another reason that Carlson might be averse to the McCarthy Doctrine is that he has an agenda that is more focused on political vengeance. He would rather see the GOP go after President Biden and the Democrats than to bother with the mechanics of governing. Which would put him in alignment with GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz who has explicitly adopted the revenge platform. “If we don’t engage in impeachment inquiries,” Gaetz rants, “our voters will feel betrayed “ So Gaetz concludes that “it should be investigations first, policy … as a far, far diminished priority.”

That also happens to be the overtly revenge-centered agenda of Donald Trump. At least when he isn’t whining about having lost the 2020 presidential election. The Trump Cult is laser focused on the issues that matter most to the cult devotees: Hunter Biden, COVID mandates, immigrants, Hillary Clinton’s emails, and Joe Biden’s opposition to right-wing fascists. And if that’s their closing argument for the 2022 midterms, election day can’t come soon enough for Democrats.

GOP Senator on Fox News Backs Assault Against 72 Year Old Volunteer Abortion Clinic Escort

The Republican Party of Donald Trump has spent months (years, actually) normalizing acts of violence in pursuit of their extremist, authoritarian quest for power. From the very beginning of Trump’s political adventurism he explicitly advocated violence. He even urged his supporters to “knock the crap out of” protesters at his rallies and promised to pay their legal fees.

Fox News, Terrorism

On Sunday morning the Fox News Senior Trump-fluffer, Maria Bartiromo, invited Republican Senator Mike Lee of Utah to discuss the GOP’s plans should they win a majority in the 2022 midterm election. Bartiromo wanted to know whether they would conduct an inquisition of the Justice Department and the FBI on behalf of Trump following the search of his Mar-a-Lago bunker where he had illegally hoarded highly sensitive national security materials.

RELATED: Trump Returns to the Scene of the Crime at Mar-a-Lago – and Freaks Out About the FBI’s Shoes

Lee immediately steered the conversation to what he regarded as “overreach” on the part of law enforcement. This despite their having found hundreds of classified documents that Trump repeatedly lied about having. However, Lee’s examples of this alleged overreach wound up serving as support for the perpetrator of a vicious assault on a senior citizen…

Lee: In the last few days we’ve seen some pretty glaring examples of what appear to be instances of overreach […] You’ve got a Catholic father of seven who formed a group designed to encourage young men to be faithful to their commitments, who was arrested in front of his seven children.
Bartiromo: Crap!

Lee repeated that he regards this as an “instance of overreach” that Republicans will be looking into. Bartiromo added that another line of inquiry should include the Justice Department and the FBI’s alleged “deep hatred for Donald Trump and the way they treat the former president.” In the view of Lee and Bartiromo, treating a suspect of serious federal crimes, including espionage, like a suspect is a akin to deep hatred.

What Lee failed to mention was that the Catholic father who was arrested was charged with assaulting a 72 year old volunteer reproductive healthcare clinic who was escorting patients through a gauntlet of anti-choice activists. According to the local ABC news affiliate

“A Pennsylvania man has been charged for allegedly assaulting an elderly Planned Parenthood volunteer. […] According to the U.S. Attorney’s office, Mark Houck is alleged to have twice assaulted a 72-year-old man because he was a volunteer reproductive health care clinic escort.

“The charges stem from two separate incidents […] In the first incident, the man was attempting to escort two patients exiting the clinic when Houck forcefully shoved him to the ground. In the second incident, Houck allegedly confronted the man and shoved him to the ground in front of the Planned Parenthood center, causing injuries that required medical attention.”

That is the sort of behavior that Sen. Lee is defending. And Bartiromo is fully on board with it. The assailant, according his page on a Catholic speakers website, “is the Co-Founder/President of The King’s Men,” a non-profit organization “seeking to unite and build up men as true leaders […] with the goal of eliminating pornography.” The page also says Houck is a “chastity educator!”

Soon Houck may be able to add convicted felon to his resume. And Fox News can continue its mission to promote violence against their political opponents, up to and including insurrection. It’s a strategy that has become even more pronounced as Trump sinks ever deeper into legal peril. It’s a path that they appear to hope leads to civil war.

Fox News ‘Doctor’ Attacks Stacy Abrams for Fetal Heartbeat Comment that He Later Admits is True

Fox News has never been a particularly good source for medical information. To the contrary, with respect to COVID-19 they have a long record of disseminating crackpot conspiracy theories and fake cures that resulted in the deaths of untold thousands of people. They were literally killing off their own viewers.

Fox News, Covid

Throughout the pandemic, Fox News was instrumental in spreading disinformation. When they weren’t denying that there was any serious public health issue at all, they were promoting quack cures like hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin. And among the most frequent distributors of deadly misinformation was their “Medical A-Team” “doctor,” Marc Siegel, who insisted that COVID was no more dangerous than the common flu.

RELATED: SURPRISE! Those Who Trust Fox News, Newsmax, and OAN Believe the Most COVID Misinformation

On Friday Fox News brought in Siegel again to dispense his unique brand of bullpucky. The segment was about comments made by Democratic Georgia gubernatorial candidate, Stacy Abrams, on abortion and one argument in particular that anti-choice activists cling to. Abrams was addressing claims that a fetal heartbeat can heard in ultrasound exams. Host Dana Perino played a clip of Abrams saying that…

“There is no such thing as a heartbeat at six weeks. It is a manufactured sound designed to convince people that men have the right to take control of a woman’s body.”

That’s a factual statement that credible medical professionals will attest to. The ultrasound machine actually inserts sounds when it encounters certain fetal activity. It is a product of the machine itself, rather than amplification of any existing sound. But that isn’t how Siegel portrayed it in this interview.

Responding to Perino’s question, “Can you hear a heartbeat at six weeks in a pregnancy?” Siegel hedged at first, calling Abrams’ comments “outrageous,” followed by a short historical outline of how ultrasound was invented and it’s contribution to medicine. He seemed to be implying that Abrams was criticizing the existence of the machine, which is absurd. He eventually circled back to the question and his reply actually affirmed what Abrams had said (video below):

“I gotta tell you that you can see at six weeks that a fetus is forming. There’s no heart there, there’s no valves, but you are seeing a fluttering, a flickering of electrical activity. That’s the beginning of a heart. So you can debate all day when an actual heart occurs, but that is the beginning of flickering, of fluttering of life there where the heart is gonna be.”

So Siegel is acknowledging that there is no heart present at six weeks, and thus no heartbeat. He tries to contort his response into the Fox News narrative by talking about some future fetal development that hasn’t yet occurred. But the fact remains that Abrams was right and Siegel is reluctantly, but expressly, concurring with her.

That’s the sort of disreputable blather that Siegel has made a career on on Fox News. He was, after all, the guy Fox News turned to to interview Donald Trump about his infamous cognition exam where he claims to have correctly identified an elephant and recalled the five words “person, woman, man, camera, TV”

Siegel never bothered to interject that Trump’s assessment of that test was preposterous. He stood there and nodded blankly as Trump proclaimed that the test revealed his extraordinary mental prowess. It’s a moment in the media that exposed both Siegel and Trump as mentally deficient and brazenly dishonest.

HUH? Trump Told Hannity He Didn’t Pack the Mar-a-Lago Docs that He Declassified With His Mind

It’s just another morning in Trumplandia and its Dear Leader, Donald Trump, is engaged in a fever swamp freak out over at his floundering social media scam, Truth Social. So far he has posted 36 mouth-frothing comments that only affirm how petrified he is by the rash of bad news he’s so pitifully whining about.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump Sean Hannity

This “truthing” tantrum was triggered by the announcement on Wednesday that New York Attorney General Letitia James has filed a lawsuit against Trump and his crime family for fraud. James is seeking to strip Trump of his New York businesses and levy a penalty of $250 million dollars. And the case is so strong that even Trump’s surrogates are folding.

RELATED: Trump’s Spokes-Shill Admits that He’s Guilty of the Fraud Charges By New York AG Letitia James

In his defense, Trump scurried off to Fox News where their Senior Trump-Fluffer, Sean Hannity, was ready to offer solace and pre-chewed excuses that Trump could slip into. However, these staged propaganda pieces often seem better suited to Comedy Central than any network with the word “News” in their name.

Among the hilarious punchlines delivered by Trump was his assertion that he is able to telepathically declassify highly sensitive national security documents.

“You’re the president of the United States you can declassify just by saying It’s declassified.’ Even by thinking about it. Because you’re sending it to Mar-a-Lago, or to wherever you’re sending it, and there doesn’t have to be a process. There can be a process, but there doesn’t have to be.”

Nope. That’s not how any of this works. This isn’t “Bewitched.” There is definitely a process and it must be observed, even by a president. Otherwise, how would anyone else in government know whether a document was classified or not? But Trump was just getting started. He went on to say that…

“I declassified everything. Now I declassified things that we were having a lot of problems with NARA [National Archives and Records Administration]. You know, NARA is a radical left group of people running that thing, and when you send documents over there, I would say that there’s a very good chance that a lot of those documents will never be seen again. There’s also a lot of speculation because of what they did, the severity of the FBI coming and raiding Mar-a-Lago. Were they looking for the Hillary emails that were deleted, but they are around someplace.”

If Trump’s claim that he declassified “everything,” is true, then anyone can now request it. Me, Rachel Maddow, Stephen Colbert, or even one of Vladimir Putin’s American assets (i.e. Tucker Carlson). What’s more, Trump’s knee-jerk habit of declaring any institution that isn’t subservient to his will a “radical left group,” is getting tiresome. He has already plastered that label on everything from the FBI to the Pentagon. And his preposterous charge that the FBI was looking for Hillary Clinton’s emails is downright hysterical.

PREVIOUSLY: WTF? Now Trump Says the FBI Was Looking for Hillary Clinton’s Emails at Mar-a-Lago

And Trump still had more to say. He told Hannity that he can’t be prosecuted under the “Presidential Records Act.” Which no one is trying to do. However, the Act does say that “Presidential records automatically transfer into the legal custody of the Archivist as soon as the President leaves office.” So bringing it up only further incriminates him. He also says the Secret Service was “watching over” the documents at Mar-a-Lago. Which is, of course, untrue. The Secret Service is detailed to former presidents, not things.

Finally, with regard to what was packed and moved from the White House to Mar-a-Lago, Trump pleaded ignorance. Which in his case is pretty easy to believe. However, he is contradicting his own claims to having declassified everything. He told Hannity that he didn’t pack any of the boxes that were later found at his hotel/home. That was, according to Trump, all done by the GSA [General Services Administration] or White House staff. He incoherently stammered that…

“GSA was involved. That’s Government services. They’re fantastic people. And they packed them… and not only that, they brought ’em in, along with people in the White House. I don’t know who they are, but there are a lot of people working in the White House. They packed them up but… clothing, massive amounts of pictures. You know they take so many amounts of pictures every day, and they give you copies of all this stuff. And it’s boxes and boxes of pictures.”

Trump conveniently forgot to mention the boxes and boxes of classified documents. And it’s his contention now that all of those boxes were packed by GSA and White House staff who he doesn’t know. By the way, none of those people would have clearance to handle classified documents. But more to the point, how could Trump have declassified them – with his mind or otherwise – if he didn’t know they were even there because he had nothing to do with packing them?

What was Trump’s mind declassifying? Does he even know? That’s just another one of the many mysteries that we are left to wonder about in the wake of Trump’s occupation of the White House. Hopefully one of the many criminal investigations of Trump will clear that up for him – and for us.

Trump’s Spokes-Shill Admits that He’s Guilty of the Fraud Charges By New York AG Letitia James

It’s been a long time coming, but the first formal charges against Donald Trump by New York Attorney General Letitia James have been filed. They are wide ranging and carry serious penalties, including a permanent ban on Trump and his children serving on any corporate board, being prohibited for five years from running any corporation or similar business in New York or applying for business loans, and $250 million in restitution.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump, Prison

The action taken by James was the result of a “comprehensive, three-year investigation” that involved “interviews with more than 65 witnesses and review of millions of documents.” In the press conference announcing the lawsuit, James charged Trump with “violating the law as part of his efforts to generate profits for himself, his family and his company.”

The lawsuit alleged that Trump and his co-defendants – Eric Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump – “falsely inflated his net worth by billions of dollars to unjustly enrich himself and to cheat the system, thereby cheating all of us.” Furthermore, James noted that she would be forwarding her findings to the Department of Justice and the IRS, where criminal charges could be considered. Then she elaborated saying that…

“Mr. Trump and the Trump Organization repeatedly and persistently manipulated the value of assets to induce banks to lend money to the Trump Organization on more favorable terms than would otherwise have been available to the company to pay lower taxes, to satisfy continuing loan agreements, and to induce insurance companies to provide insurance coverage for higher limits and for lower premiums.”

Within minutes of the announcement, Trump’s spokes-shill, Liz Harrington, posted a comment on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, that she apparently thought was a defense of her boss. It wasn’t…

“These people are DERANGED! [Former] President Trump did not inflate his assets. He UNDERVALUED them. They have turned New York City into a Third World country. They release violent criminals on the streets, and use their energy to go after a law-abiding, successful businessman, who is their number one political opponent. Sick!

First of all, Harrington is lying about Trump not inflating his assets. Not only does James cite abundant evidence that he did, he has even bragged about doing it saying in his book “The Art of the Deal” that “a little hyperbole never hurts. People want to believe that something is the biggest and the greatest and the most spectacular. I call it truthful hyperbole. It’s an innocent form of exaggeration. In other words, an “innocent” form of lying.

However, Harrington completely missed the part of James’ statement where she also said that Trump undervalued his assets in order to “to pay lower taxes.” So Harrington’s post is explicitly affirming that Trump is guilty of that charge in the AG’s lawsuit.

Trump’s attorney, Alina Habba, didn’t do much good for her client either when she provided a response to the lawsuit saying that…

“Today’s filing is neither focused on the facts nor the law — rather, it is solely focused on advancing the Attorney General’s political agenda.[…] and we look forward to defending our client against each and every one of the Attorney General’s meritless claims.”

If Trump is looking forward so much to defending himself against these claims, why did he take the Fifth Amendment more than 400 times when he was deposed by James a few weeks ago? Which is something that he previously said only guilty people and mobsters do? And why did he try to evade the depositions entirely unless he was granted immunity?

RELATED: Admission of Guilt? Trump and Family Seek to Evade Depositions Unless Granted Immunity

For his part, Trump also banged out a rapid reply to James in a Truth Social rant. He whined that this is “Another Witch Hunt by a racist Attorney General, Letitia James,” and that he “never thought this case would be brought – until I saw her really bad poll numbers.”

This isn’t the first time that Trump called James, who is Black, a racist. Nor is it the first time he’s shown his obsession with polls, even when they have nothing to do with the subject at hand. For the record, last month a Sienna College Research Institute poll had James beating her GOP opponent by 14 points.

Trump’s latest meltdown is typical of his desperate emotional state. Whenever he is confronted by bad news, he complains of his victimhood. Everything is a “witch hunt” and everyone is out to get him. And this is the model of a strongman that has so enraptured the Trump Cult. Just think how these snowflakes will react when criminal charges are filed.

WHUT? On Fox News RNC Chair Cites GOP Scare Tactics as Proof that Democrats are Scaring People

With the 2022 midterm election now less than two months away, the Republican Party is piling on the lies, pseudo-scandals, personal insults, and fear mongering. The projections for control of the House and Senate have been trending toward the Democrats ever since the Supreme Court’s Dobb’s decision that effectively reversed Roe vs Wade. Plus, Democrats have had numerous legislative achievements in the past few months.

Donald Trump, Republican, GOP

Consequently, the GOP, and their Ministry of Propaganda (aka Fox News) have been reprising their customary campaign of contrivances such as caravans of immigrants, rampant crime, and economic apocalypse. It’s their predictable, knee jerk response whenever an election is nearing and their prospects are dimming.

RELATED: Dear Leader Trump Brags that His MAGA Cult is Beating the Failing Republican Party

On Fox News Monday morning, host Dana Perino interviewed the chair of the Republican National Committee, Ronna McDaniel. Perino led into her question with a video clip of former President Bill Clinton commenting accurately on how Republicans use fear to motivate their base. Which led to a rather bizarre exchange between Perino and McDaniel…

Clinton (video): The Republicans always close well. Why? Because they find some new way to scare the living daylights out of swing voters about something. That’s what they did in 2021 when they made critical race theory sound worse than smallpox.
Perino: The Democrats have been trying to scare people as well.
McDaniel: News flash, Bill. Your party’s doing that just fine. We don’t need to help you with that as well. You’re scaring voters everywhere. With open borders. I mean, just last month 2,000 pounds of fentanyl came across our border. That could kill 500,000,000 people. We’re coming into Halloween. Every mom in the country right now is worried. What if this gets into my kid’s Halloween basket? The rainbow fentanyl.

The first notable observation in that segment is that neither Perino nor McDaniel disputed what Clinton said. That might be because it’s indisputably true. However they did attempt to “whatabout” his remarks in a peculiar way. The examples that McDaniel gave of Democratic fear mongering were actually the long established scare tactics of the Republican Party. It isn’t Democrats who use open borders and drug smuggling to frighten voters. That’s the GOP. So McDaniel was just inadvertently affirming Clinton’s political analysis. In fact, she was engaging in it.

What’s more, while missing her target by a mile, McDaniel also managed to make a mess of whatever she was trying say. First of all, she complained that thousands of pounds of fentanyl were confiscated at the border last month. That is actually evidence of how well the Biden administration is policing the border and preventing illegal drug smuggling. Secondly, McDaniel claimed that the fentanyl seized could have killed 500,000,000 million people. Which is about 200,000,000 more people than there are in the U.S.

Perhaps the most preposterous of her comments was the utterly baseless suggestion that “Every mom in the country right now is worried” that their kids will be getting fentanyl treats for Halloween. Does she have any proof that even a handful of moms are worried about that, much less all of them? And what makes her think that drug dealers are plotting to give their products away for free in order to commit the mass poisoning of America’s children?

RELATED: Al Franken Shows How to Make Republican Hacks Squirm By Using this One Little Trick – Truth!

If this is the high point of the Republican’s political gamesmanship, Democrats have even less to worry about come November than previously thought. However, given the intellectual capacity of the average GOP voter, there is still a risk that they could turn out and make some gains. So Democrats can’t relax or take anything for granted. Democracy itself is riding on these midterms. And Republicans are still pouring on the craziness that exemplifies their party today…

And let’s not forget the Fear Monger in Chief for the Republican Party, Donald Trump…

Trump Returns to the Scene of the Crime at Mar-a-Lago – and Freaks Out About the FBI’s Shoes

Last month the FBI conducted a search of Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago bunker and found thousands of documents that he unlawfully took from the White House. Hundreds of them were highly sensitive and Top Secret national security documents. To date Trump has not explained why he took them, what he did with them, or why he lied about having them.

However, Trump has been tirelessly whining about his rights having been violated by FBI agents that he maligns as thugs and a Justice Department that he baselessly accuses of corruption. And on a near daily basis Trump floats some new defense for his criminal behavior. Each new attempt achieves new heights of absurdity.

RELATED: WTF? Now Trump Says the FBI Was Looking for Hillary Clinton’s Emails at Mar-a-Lago

On Sunday Trump announced in a post on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, that he would be returning to Mar-A-Lago – aka, the scene of the crime – for the first time since the FBI’s visit. His typically rambling, incoherent comment was a goulash of lies and desperation. He wrote that…

“I’ll soon be heading to the scene of the unwarranted, unjust, and illegal Raid and Break-In of my home in Florida, Mar-a-Lago. I’ll be able to see for myself the results of the unnecessary ransacking of rooms and other areas of the house. It has already been proven that so much has been wrongfully taken, it is not a “pretty thing.” So sad! The 4th Amendment, and much more, has been totally violated, a grave invasion of privacy. I will keep the American public informed on TRUTH!”

For the record, here is an accounting of what was true and false in that post…

    TRUE:

  • “…my home in Florida.”
    FALSE:
    That the search was…

  • “unwarranted”
  • “unjust”
  • “illegal”
  • a “Break-in”
  • “unnecessary”
  • a “ransacking”
  • .
    And that…

  • “much has been wrongfully taken”
  • a “4th Amendment” violation
  • an “invasion of privacy”
  • “will keep the American public informed”

Other than that, Trump’s comments was still a psychotic mess unleashed by a paranoid basket case. But he wasn’t nearly finished. On Monday morning he posted another comment describing what he encountered at his Palm Beach hotel/home. He wrote that…

“Arrived in Florida last night and had a long and detailed chance to check out the scene of yet another government ‘crime,’ the FBI’s Raid and Break-In of my home, Mar-a-Lago. I guess they don’t think there is a Fourth Amendment anymore, and to them, there isn’t. In any event, after what they have done, the place will never be the same. It was ‘ransacked,’ and in far different condition than the way I left it. Many Agents – And they didn’t even take off their shoes in my bedroom. Nice!!!”

So Trump is alleging that no one cleaned up after the FBI completed their search more than a month ago. And that the feds did damage so severe that the “the place will never be the same.” And worst of all, the FBI heathens “didn’t even take off their shoes in my bedroom.” How utterly uncivilized!

Everyone knows that decent law enforcement officers will remove their shoes before entering the bedroom of a suspected criminal. And this offense is especially heinous when considering that the victim, Trump, is so well known for his high standards for etiquette and decorum. Just take a look at the photograph above for proof that Trump would never breach bedroom shoe protocol.

Oh wait… Never mind.

Stupid Fox News Question: Should Liberal Martha’s Vineyard Celebs Open Their Homes to Migrants?

For the past couple of weeks, Republican governors Greg Abbott of Texas and and Ron DeSantis of Florida have been staging one of the most inhumane political stunts in decades. By transporting migrants in their states to New York, Massachusetts, and Washington, D.C., they are demonstrating both a severe lack of compassion and overt disrespect for the law.

Go Fox Yourself

This heartless and illegal abuse of innocent and vulnerable refugees was intended to embarrass the Democratic politicians in those destinations. As it turned out, the receiving Democratic officials and the local residents brought honor to themselves and the nation by welcoming the refugees with open arms, food, medical care, and other resources to help these victims of Republican exploitation, including children, adjust to having been used as pawns in a political game.

Meanwhile, Fox News played their customary role as apologists for right-wing atrocities. They barely covered the heartwarming hospitality that the refugees received from their hosts. But Fox did attempt to distort reality by featuring the rare critics who complained about the migrants.

Even worse, Fox News tried to manufacture controversy where there was none. In an especially dishonest and disgusting story, Fox News sent their crackhead news team to Martha’s Vineyard to stir up trouble. The story headlined “We asked Martha’s Vineyard celebs if they’d open their homes to migrants. Here’s how they responded,” was a typically hollow, and transparently hostile, piece of vile presstitution. It began…

“Former President Barack Obama and several other high-profile Democrats who own homes on Martha’s Vineyard have remained silent on whether they will open up their homes to provide comfort to any illegal immigrants sent to the island by Republican governors.” […]

“In addition, Fox News Digital reached out to representatives for prominent public supporters of President Biden who own homes on Martha’s Vineyard but did not receive a response. Those Martha’s Vineyard residents include singer James Taylor, director Spike Lee and comedian David Letterman, who all reportedly have homes on the island.”

The premise of this story was both absurd and repugnant. No wonder they didn’t get a single response from those they tried to contact. And yet, they went ahead with the non-story anyway.

What ever made Fox News think that it was appropriate to expect private citizens to house refugees who were trafficked illegally from other states? Fox News never asked Republican politicians or right-wing celebrities to take in the babies of women forced to carry them to term when Republican laws prohibited them from making their own healthcare and reproductive decisions. Nor was anyone asked by Fox News to house low income families who became homeless as a result of the callousness of conservative policies. Nor did Fox News ever ask wealthy notables to pay for medicine or hospitalization for Americans who were denied care due to the GOP’s servility to Big Pharma and other corporate interests.

Yet for some reason, Fox is suddenly interested in whether liberal individuals alone should shoulder a burden that is properly attributed to the federal government. The U.S. immigration system has been broken for a long time. And it’s the Republicans who have refused to participate in finding a bipartisan solution. Their answer now is to spend millions of dollars trafficking human victims around the country in order to create chaos.

Just think of the value those millions of dollars could have provided if spent on something useful, helpful, and driven by compassion rather than political malice. But then, that would have required Republicans to have a modicum of morality and decency. And that was just too much to ask of them. Surely Fox News would never ask it.

Dear Leader Trump Brags that His MAGA Cult is Beating the Failing Republican Party

The looming threat to democracy in America posed by Donald Trump and his tyrannical aspirations continues to smolder among the glassy-eyed disciples who have pledged themselves to their malignant messiah. It’s a movement that resembles most closely the reigns of the fascistic tyrants that Trump idolizes and strives to emulate.

Donald Trump Rally, Sieg Heil

On Saturday Trump held the latest of his traveling salvation shows in Ohio, ostensibly to boost the struggling campaign of Republican senatorial candidate, J.D. Vance. But one would be hard pressed to find much expression of support for Vance during the hour long harangue. In fact, Trump’s introduction to Vance could hardly be characterized as complimentary when he said that “JD is kissing my ass, he wants my support so bad.”

RELATED: Wannabe Kingmaker Donald Trump’s Latest Endorsement (Vance) Reveals His Big Fat Flaming Ego

True to form, Trump spent nearly the entire time exalting himself, disparaging his foes, lying profusely, and vilifying America as “a nation in decline,” and awash in crime, corruption, and cultural depravity. To be fair, those are all subjects that he should be well acquainted with.

Trump’s allegiance to other Republicans is always conditioned on their demonstration of unflinching adoration and loyalty to him. So even though Vance has previously described Trump as “noxious,” “outrageous and offensive,” and “an idiot,” Trump can forgive him if he kneels to kiss his posterior.

However, at the same time Trump also used this rally speech to distance himself even farther from the Republican Party that he is supposed to be leading. At one point he explicitly distinguished support for him from that of the GOP saying that…

“We got 12 million more and we lost. We didn’t lose. We lost in their imagination. And we’re leading Biden now in all the polls and we are leading also all Republicans by record numbers. The Republicans are not doing too well.”

Let’s just set aside Trump’s initial concession that he lost the 2020 presidential election, and his clumsy attempt to recover and reiterate the “Big Lie” that he won. His criticism of the Republican Party seems to suggest that he isn’t actually affiliated with it. He is bragging that his MAGA cult is beating the GOP, and that the GOP, in contrast to whatever he is, is “not doing too well.”

That’s nothing new for Trump. He has been a fierce critic of his own party’s members and leadership from his first day’s as a candidate. It’s not because he is an independent thinker and places principle above party. It’s because he places himself above everything. He recently commented on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, that “Without the Rallies and, even more importantly, the Endorsements, most [Republicans] would lose.”

Trump is not nearly as popular as he thinks he is. His approval rating is a dismal 34%, well below President Biden at 45%. And a recent New York Times poll shows that voters prefer Biden over Trump by 45% to 42%, in a hypothetical 2024 matchup. What’s more, a poll in July found that “Close to half of Republican primary voters want someone other than former President Trump to run in 2024.” Perhaps it’s because of his rampant criminal activities.

So as usual, Trump is living in a alternative universe of delusion and self-glorification. Which is conveniently in sync with his cult devotees. Like the this who was ecstatic that her savior spoke to her…
