Donald Trump Whines to Fox News that He Wants His (Putrid) Reputation Back? – He Can Have It!

This week the right-wing media mob became fixated on flogging yet another baseless pseudo-scandal involving former senator and Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. It’s rather impressive how, after thirty years, Clinton still manages to send tingles up the spongy spines of the Deplorable press.

Donald Trump

The subject of this wholly contrived non-controversy was a report concerning the testimony of Clinton’s former campaign manager, Robby Mook in a show trial led by special clown-sel, John Durham. Most of the reporting parroted the same deliberate distortions that Fox News disseminated in their predictably biased coverage.

SEE: Media Freaks Out Over Fake News that Hillary Clinton Approved Trump/Russia Campaign Stories

On Sunday Fox News followed up their story with a response from Donald Trump. But first they had to reiterate the falsehoods that they dispensed in the original report. In the opening sentence Fox stated that “Hillary Clinton herself approved the dissemination of false information.” Which is utterly untrue and not supported by their own article.

The campaign did not regard the information as false. In fact, it was deemed credible at the time by multiple sources. And they disseminated it to a reporter who they expected would conduct a more in depth investigation. That’s actually the responsible course of action. Nevertheless, Fox News sought a response from Trump who could only be relied on to muddy the matter further. Which he did…

“‘This is one of the greatest political scandals in history,’ Trump told Fox News Saturday morning. ‘For three years, I had to fight her off, and fight those crooked people off, and you’ll never get your reputation fully back. Where do I get my reputation back?’ Trump said again. ‘I had to fight them off,’ Trump said. ‘And if we had real leadership, instead of people like Mitch McConnell, they would do something about it. And guys like Bill Barr. They would have done something about it.’ [and that it] distracted officials from what ‘could have been a real danger with Russia.'”

Trump is right about this being “one of the greatest political scandals in history.” Just not the one in his delusional mind. The fact that he and his campaign corroborated so often with Russia is unprecedented. And his complaints that rabidly partisan players like McConnell and Barr weren’t sufficiently corrupt for his purposes only makes him look even more guilty.

However, what stands out in this tirade is Trump’s pleading that he get his reputation back. Really? He wants to restore a reputation best known for dishonesty, corruption, hostility, malignant narcissism, and jaw-dropping ignorance? He wants to refresh the public’s impression of him as the ultimate loser and recidivist failure? Okay, fine. Let him have it.

As for Fox News, their reputation isn’t any better. The same article brazenly lied about Trump’s unsavory connections to Russia, and his infatuation with Vladimir Putin, saying that…

“After nearly two years, Mueller’s investigation yielded no evidence of criminal conspiracy or coordination between the Trump campaign and Russian officials during the 2016 presidential election.”

After three years Fox News is still peddling the falsehood that Mueller found no evidence of Trump colluding with Russia or violating the law. To the contrary, in his Senate testimony Mueller explicitly told the House Judiciary Committee Chairman, Jerry Nadler, that Trump was not, as he repeatedly lied, “totally exonerated.” And in another exchange with Rep. Adam Schiff, Mueller confirmed that “Trump and his campaign welcomed and encouraged Russian interference [and] lied about it to cover it up.”

SEE Exoneration? Collusion? Obstruction? Trump’s Fate is Sealed By 3 Brief Exchanges with Mueller

So if that’s the reputation that Trump wants back, he’s more than welcome to it. In fact, he never lost it to begin with. After all, he worked so hard to slather it with sleaze and drench it in disgrace that it would be a shame to let that go to waste. And it’s rather humorous that Trump thinks his reputation was taken from him. Because. seriously, who else would want it?

Media Freaks Out Over Fake News that Hillary Clinton Approved Trump/Russia Campaign Stories

Nothing thrills the press like the stench of a budding scandal involving a prominent public figure. And for thirty years Hillary Clinton has been at the top of the media’s hit list, despite never having confirmed a single episode of wrongdoing. And after being out of government service for six years, she remains a prime target of the press.

Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump

The latest hysterical outrage was triggered by reports of testimony by former Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook in a case brought to trial by John Durham, the special counsel appointed by Donald Trump’s Attorney General Bill Barr. Durham’s mandate was to vindicate Trump by fabricating phony charges of misconduct related to his unsavory connections to Russia and Vladimir Putin.

RELATED: Trump Whines that the Media Didn’t Fall for the Durham Nothingburger About Clinton ‘Spying’

The news reports covering Mook’s testimony were mostly wild distortions of the actual facts. Even CNN played into it with a story headlined “Hillary Clinton personally approved plan to share Trump-Russia allegation with the press in 2016, campaign manager says.” However, that is not what Mook’s testimony said at all. After repeating the falsehood in the headline, a more accurate description was given in the article’s opening paragraphs:

“Robby Mook said he attended a meeting with other senior campaign officials where they learned about strange cyberactivity that suggested a relationship between the Trump Organization and Alfa Bank, which is based in Moscow. The group decided to share the information with a reporter, and Mook subsequently ran that decision by Clinton herself. ‘We discussed it with Hillary,’ Mook said, later adding that ‘she agreed with the decision.'”

So what Mook actually said was that the decision was already made and acted upon, and was brought to Clinton after the fact, where she agreed with what had already been done. The stories that say that she “approved the plan” suggest that she was informed in advance and gave it a greenlight. In reality, Clinton merely expressed her agreement, perhaps after her staff had already executed the plan.

What’s worse is that many stories are circulating through the conservative media asserting that Clinton not only gave the plan a go-ahead, but that she contrived it herself and “knew” that it was false. That could not be farther from the truth. The unexplained cyberactivity connecting Trump to the Russian bank was first observed by independent tech investigators. Reports of those observations were later brought to the attention of the Clinton campaign who had every reason to regard them as credible. Mook testified that the campaign passed the information on to the press with the intention that they would investigate and either confirm or refute it.

All of these deliberate distortions of both the cyberactivity, and the Clinton campaign’s role in publicizing it, are part of the right-wing Durham crusade to distract the public from the documented connections between Trump and Russia. They add to prior distortions by Durham and company that Trump used to falsely claim that his campaign had been spied on.

For the record, there were numerous documented contacts between the Trump camp and Russian operatives during and after the 2016 presidential election. And Trump himself publicly asked Russia to interfere in the election by hacking into Clinton’s emails. Many of these activities were catalogued in the book Russian Roulette: The Inside Story of Putin’s War on America and the Election of Donald Trump, by Michael Isikoff and David Corn.

RELATED: Trump Doubles Down on His Treasonous Putin Puffery While Continuing to Insult Biden and America

Trump’s doting affinity for Putin is well known. He has spent the past six years fawning over Putin and advancing the interests of Russia. And that extends to the present as Trump takes Putin’s side in the War in Ukraine. Meanwhile, the press is unfairly hammering Clinton who got Trump’s unpatriotic behaviors right all along.

Hungarian Dictator Orbán Lauds Tucker Carlson at CPAC, Says He ‘Should Be Broadcasted 24/7’

The Republican Party, under the spell of wannabe dictator Donald Trump, has embarked on an unalterable march toward authoritarianism. They have embraced a doctrine of total fealty to Dear Leader Trump whom they would grant absolute power to rule without regard to Constitutional law or human decency.

Click here to Tweet this article

Fox News, Tucker Carlson, Dictator

The latest evidence of that abandonment of American principles of liberty comes with this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) that is being held in the neo-fascist haven of Hungary. The location of this confab is likely due to the recent drooling idolatry of Hungarian dictator Viktor Orbán by aspiring tyrant Trump and Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

SEE: Trump Endorses the Fascist Wannabe Dictator Viktor Orbán of Hungary Because – Of Course He Does

AND: Fox News Fascinista, Tucker Carlson, Cozies Up to Hungary’s Authoritarian PM Orban

During his address at CPAC, Orbán wasn’t shy about expressing his appreciation for the autocracy he has built in Hungary. And he had ready advice for those who would like to follow in his oppressive bootsteps:

“‘“Have your own media. It’s the only way to point out the insanity of the progressive left,’ he said. ‘The problem is that the western media is adjusted to the leftist viewpoint.'”

Orbán has taken his own advice. He has virtually shut down the independent press in Hungary. What’s left are only government run outlets that regurgitate exclusively pro-Orbán propaganda. It’s from that perspective that he complains about western media being too “adjusted to the leftist viewpoint.” By which he means having the freedom of speech that allows independent journalism.

CPAC’s anti-free press positions fit right in with their Hungarian hosts. They have actually barred many reporters from covering the event, including the New Yorker, Vox Media, Vice News, Rolling Stone, and the Associated Press. But according to Orbán, conservatives in the west are overwhelmed by liberals:

“‘Of course, the GOP has its media allies but they can’t compete with the mainstream liberal media. My friend, Tucker Carlson is the only one who puts himself out there,’ he said. ‘His show is the most popular. What does it mean? It means programs like his should be broadcasted day and night. Or as you say 24/7.'”

First of all, let’s dispense with Orbán’s preposterous analysis of the press in America. Fox News is not only able to compete, it is the highest rated cable news network in the United States. And Orbán knows that. He is obviously a Fox News fan as evidenced by his effusive fawning for Tucker Carlson. However, his proposal to have Carlson on the air twenty-four hours a day is not just a prescription for propaganda, it could be classified as torture.

For his part, Carlson sent a video message to CPAC extolling the virtues of Orbán’s authoritarianism. He described Hungary as providing a “signpost to a better way” for America. Which is the best evidence to date that Carlson seeks to turn the U.S. into the same sort of totalitarian dystopia that Hungary has become under Orbán.

Trump also made some remarks at CPAC via phone from Mar-a-Lago. He predictably slobbered over his pal Orbán saying that “He’s a great leader, a great gentleman, and he just had a very big election result. I was very honored to have endorsed him.” It’s no coincidence that both Carlson and Orbán and Trump share the same love for Vladimir Putin. And for you apocalypse watchers, those might be the fabled “four horsemen” right there.

Madison Cawthorn Threatens a ‘Dark MAGA’ Uprising After Losing His GOP Reelection Bid

Today’s Republican Party has become hopelessly immersed in the smarmy depths of the Cult of Trump. And there is no better indicator of just how deeply it has sunk than the response of one particular Donald Trump toady who lost his bid for reelection on Tuesday.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump, Fox News, QAnon

Madison Cawthorn made the unforgivable sin of casting a negative glow on his fellow Republicans when he exposed them as revelers in cocaine sex parties. Never mind his QAnon conspiracy theorizing, his efforts to undermine democracy, or his rabid racism. Cawthorn had to learn that maligning your GOP brethren is virtually the only thing that will get you cast out of the party.

RELATED: GOP Pipsqueak Madison Cawthorn Imagines that Rhodes Scholar Rachel Maddow is Afraid to Debate Him

However, after Cawthorn’s humiliating loss in the Republican primary, he demonstrated that he remains in the cold embrace of Trumpism with the release of a statement saying in part that…

“It’s time for the rise of the new right, it’s time for Dark MAGA to truly take command. We have an enemy to defeat, but we will never be able to defeat them until we defeat the cowardly and weak members of our own party. Their days are numbered. We are coming.”

That should send a shiver down your spine, or at least a hearty guffaw through your spinning head. Cawthorn is clearly adrift in the bowels of extremist crackpottery. He is among the irredeemable Deplorables of the ultra-right. And his reference to the cartoon villainy of “Dark MAGA” makes this a good time to reprise the following primer on the subject:

Dark MAGA? Is A Mash Up of Trump and QAnon Forming that is Even More Dangerous and Violent?

If you thought that the dystopian cult that sprung from Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) crusade was bad, you aint seen nothin’ yet. The messiah worship that is prevalent among the Trumpist wackos is continuing to evolve in the most foreboding fashion imaginable.

Newsweek is reporting on the emergence of an offshoot of the Trump Cult that has been anointed “Dark MAGA.” The article describes this budding Internet trend as…

“A small fringe of Donald Trump’s supporters [that] is calling for the former president to get back on the highest stage of U.S. politics with a vengeance with the motto: #DarkMAGA. More of a meme than a political slogan, Dark MAGA is a post-alt-right aesthetic that promotes an authoritarian version of Trump.”

RELATED: Trump Says ‘I Am the Chosen One’ After Tweeting that He’s ‘The Second Coming of God’

One has to wonder how “an authoritarian version of Trump” differs from the version that has been polluting American society for the past several years. Setting aside the obvious similarities, Newsweek goes on to paint a chilling, but accurate portrait of the Dark MAGA minions saying that…

“Dark MAGA supporters are calling for a ruthless, unforgiving version of Trump to take revenge on his political enemies at the 2024 election [and that] Many of the messages posted by Dark MAGA supporters incite violence and contain misogynistic and/or racist comments.”

Once again, how does that make these MAGAts in any way distinguishable from the standard variety of Trumpish pestilence? Is there some obscure Trump sect that is NOT ruthless, unforgiving, vengeful, and hateful? If so, they’re doing a darn good job of concealing their existence. And from their secret lair they still manage to promulgate the themes of MAGAism. Which are conspicuously similar to those of QAnon:

“According to [UNC Prof. Alice E.] Marwick, the result of this is a ‘heavy victim mentality’ among some Trump supporters. ‘The general messaging that the Democrats are evil, that children are under threat, that people may need to take extreme acts, even political violence to protect their children and their values, I think is consistent across the (far-right) spectrum,’ says Marwick.”

So the question as to the alleged dawning of Dark MAGA is this: Is it really any darker than what produced the January 6th insurrection? The promotion of white nationalism? The loss of 1,000,000+ Americans due to COVID? The treasonous embrace of murderous tyrants like Vladimir Putin? The contempt for the Constitution and the law? The spreading of racism, misogyny, and homophobia? The ceaseless lying? The undermining of democracy? The defiling of faith? The division of the American people? The assault on the free press and the media? And the march toward authoritarianism?

RELATED: Trump’s Cult of Republican Voters is Dwindling, but GOP Politicians and Press Remain Spellbound

MAGA is already a movement that has sought to sabotage virtually every institution that sustains a free society: government, law, media, arts, academia, science, religion, family, philanthropy, and economics. And the advent of Dark MAGA doesn’t alter that one bit. It is simply a new name for an old poison. It is nothing more than the already noxious manifestation of Dark Trump. And the antidote is still the glaring light of truth and a commitment to flushing Trumpism out of the body politic.

Donald Trump has been fomenting violence from the very beginning of his political career. And Cawthorn surely has a future in that Trumpian underworld where JFK Jr is still alive and will be Trump’s running mate in 2024. He may be angling for job at Newsmax or OAN. Either that or he’ll be moved into a serene rest home where his delusions can’t hurt anybody.

Either way, the future of Dark MAGA has its own unique path forward. Will it burn out in a year or two, or settle in with other conspiracy theories like the faked moon landing and the invasion of the Lizard people? Tune in next time. Same bat(shit) channel.

Democratic Truth-Teller on Fox News Righteously Rails on Republicans as the ‘Party of Hate’

If there is one thing that Fox News is good at, it’s managing their platform to make certain that only the most categorically conservative, ultra-MAGA propaganda actually makes it on the air. They do this by front-loading their bookings with reliably right-wing guests and cutting off the commentaries of their occasional lefties.

Fox News, Bullshit Factory

However, every now and then they let their guard down and some inconvenient truths slip through their anti-reality radar. This rare occurrence took place on Thursday morning’s episode of the “Faulkner Focus” during a segment in which some recent political remarks by Elon Musk were discussed. Musk has been in the news lately as a result of his bid to acquire Twitter, which is rapidly going downhill.

RELATED: Elon Musk’s Bid for Twitter is in Big Trouble, and So is Trump’s TRUTH Social

In addition to making profoundly idiotic comments that put his Twitter bid and other businesses at risk, Musk thought this would be a good time to expose his political ignorance, dishonesty, and biases. So he tweeted that…

“In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party. But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican.”

Comparing that comment to reality, we find that Musk actually donated heavily to Republicans. And notice the dates on these donations – January 4-8, 2021 – just before and after Donald Trump’s insurrection at the Capitol.

What’s more, Musk’s assertion that the Democrats “have become the party of division & hate” is utterly without foundation, and contrasts with all the available facts. Democrats are still the party that gave us healthcare, provides food and other necessities for the poor and middle class, protects the environment, fights for women and minorities, and defends democracy in the U.S. and around the world.

It is those principles that were featured in the brief remarks of Kristal Knight, a Democratic pundit who appeared on “The Faulkner Focus” on Fox News Thursday (video below). Responding to the wingnuts on the program, Knight said that…

“I think it’s very interesting that Elon Musk thinks that the Democratic Party is the party of hate when the Republican Party produced a failed insurrection on January 6th. This is also the party that supported the ‘Big Lie.’ We also see that Gregg Locke down in Tennessee has been preaching anti-Democratic rhetoric in the name of religion because he doesn’t like Democrats. We also have to remember the ‘great replacement’ theory, that has been spewed on this network alone – and the Buffalo shooter referenced it – these are all remnants of the Republican Party. That’s the party of hate.

So in about one minute Knight nailed some of the most flagrant flaws of the Republican Party. She even managed to slip in the fact that Fox News – via their Senior White Nationalist, Tucker Carlson – has been America’s most prominent proponent of the “white replacement theory” that incited the mass shooting in Buffalo.

RELATED: White Replacement Theory Huckster Tucker Carlson Now Says He’s ‘Not Sure Exactly What It Is’

It’s unusual, and somewhat astonishing, that Knight managed to get through her commentary without being interrupted and cut off. Host Harris Faulkner and her other guest, conservative Charlie Hurt, must have been napping on the job, But they still wound up dismissing Knight’s criticisms and even condemned her for politicizing a massacre that was unambiguously political in its motivation and execution. Which is what they always do when they have no substantive response to the unvarnished truth – especially about themselves.

White Replacement Theory Huckster Tucker Carlson Now Says He’s ‘Not Sure Exactly What It Is’

The professional purveyors of right-wing rubbish at Fox News have an astonishing capacity for head-smacking hypocrisy. They aren’t the least bit hesitant to flagrantly contradict themselves – sometimes in mid-sentence – whenever doing so helps them to advance whatever new fallacy they are flaunting.

Click here to Tweet this article

Fox News, Tucker Carlson, Klan

Topping the list of these deliberate deceivers is Tucker Carlson. For years he has been in a persistent rage over the “white replacement theory,” a blatantly racist concept peddled by hate mongers and bigots who accuse Democrats of “importing” immigrants into the United States in order to dilute the voting power of white citizens. Most recently it’s been in the news because it fueled the horrific mass shooting in Buffalo, New York, by an adherent to the theory.

RELATED: Donald Trump Jr Defends the Buffalo Shooter’s Racist Creed – as Seen Daily on Fox News

On Monday night, despite his long established status as Fox’s chief champion of the white replacement theory, Carlson had the gall to disgorge a monologue distancing himself from the doctrine for which he has been the most prominent proponent (video below). He babbled that…

“You’ve heard a lot about the “great replacement theory” recently, everywhere in the last few days, and we’re still not sure exactly what it is.”

WHAT? Suddenly Carlson wants his viewers to believe that he has no idea what the white replacement theory is. Never mind that a recent New York Times investigation found that he has promoted it more than 400 times on his program. Without knowing what it is? Here are a few examples…

In a classic feat of gaslighting, Carlson went on to spin furiously an alternative reality wherein he asserted that it was Democrats who proffered the repugnant theory…

“Here’s what we do know for a fact: There’s a strong political component to the Democratic Party’s immigration theory. We’re not guessing this. We know this, and we know it because they have said so. They said it again, and again, and again. They’ve written books on it, and monograms, and magazine articles. They’ve bragged about it endlessly, and talk about it on cable news constantly. And they say it, out loud, ‘we are doing this because it helps us to win elections.'”

Of course, none of what Carlson is ranting about is “know[n] for a fact.” To the contrary, he’s making all of it up. And he used some badly mangled and out of context video to back up his lies. Among the clips he played was one of President Biden saying…

“Folks like me, who are Caucasian, of European descent, for the first time in 2017 will be an absolute minority in the United States of America. Absolute minority. Fewer than 50% of the people in America, from then on will be White, European stock. That’s not a bad thing. That’s a source of our strength.”

Carlson is purposefully misinterpreting the commentaries in the video clips. What they are describing is the demographic reality that the share of the population of certain minorities groups in the U.S. is growing at a faster rate than that of the White population. That growth is coming from the families of Black and Brown citizens whose birthrates are higher than Whites. It has nothing whatsoever to do with immigration. And it isn’t a plot being executed by Democrats. It’s just an observation of publicly available census data, and reasonable projections made therefrom.

More to the point, Carlson’s theory that accuses Democrats of deliberately bringing undocumented immigrants into the U.S. in order to overwhelm White voters doesn’t even make sense. For one thing, such immigrants wouldn’t be able to vote for many years, if ever.

RELATED: On Fox News Tucker Carlson Drops His Sickest White Supremacy Conspiracy Theory Yet

So Carlson’s entire premise rests on his rancid racism and his shameless dishonesty. Add to that his ignorance to which he is now admitting. However, Carlson’s claim that he doesn’t know what the white replacement theory is is hard to take seriously after he’s sermonized about it so often. But then again, Fox News won a defamation lawsuit by arguing that “no reasonable person” would take Carlson seriously. The only problem with that is that are so many people watching his show who are utterly devoid of reason.

Trump Could Make TRUTH Social Pay Him for Content, Even If it’s Dishonest, Illegal, or Immoral

The more we learn about Donald Trump’s Twitter clone, TRUTH Social, the more it appears to be just another in a long line of scams by Trump whose only purpose is to fatten his wallet and fleece his half-witted flock. The Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), his social media venture, is heading down the same corrupt path as his phony university and his fraudulent charity.

Trump Baby on Cash Pile

Mother Jones is reporting on a recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission by Digital World Acquisition Corp (DWAC), the shady shell company that Trump is using to give his enterprise a presence on Wall Street. And, as revealed in the filing, the terms of the licensing agreement with Trump have all of the elements of the unscrupulous brand of business affairs that are the hallmarks of Trump’s malpractice. To begin with, the filling notes that…

“TMTG’s future success will depend, to a significant extent, upon the continued presence and popularity of President Trump. If President Trump were to discontinue his relationship with TMTG due to death, disability, or any other reason, or limit his involvement with TMTG due to becoming a candidate for political office, TMTG would be significantly disadvantaged.”

Relying on Trump’s popularity is a profoundly shaky foundation for success. The twice-impeached, former reality TV game show host lost the popular vote twice and never had an approval rating that approached 50%. A majority of Americans say he’s responsible for the violent January 6th insurrection. And even 49% of Republicans don’t want him to run in 2024.

RELATED: Trump’s Cult of Republican Voters is Dwindling, but GOP Politicians and Press Remain Spellbound

What’s the more, the prospects of Trump discontinuing his relationship with his site for the reasons stated (“death, disability, or any other reason”) are almost inevitable. And in any case, Trump isn’t even obligated to post anything at all on the site. However, the filing notes that the site may be obligated to pay him for posting content. So he has wrangled another way to squeeze dough from his dimwit disciples. And the substance of the content he provides has no ethical boundaries. According the the filing…

“TMTG has entered into a license agreement with President Trump wherein neither the personal nor political conduct of President Trump, even if such conduct could negatively reflect on TMTG’s reputation or brand or be considered offensive, dishonest, illegal, immoral, or unethical, or otherwise harmful to TMTG’s brand or reputation, shall be considered a breach of the license agreement.”

That’s a necessary contractual provision with Trump, since he is notorious for “offensive, dishonest, illegal, [and] immoral” conduct. Even now the SEC is investigating whether TMTG and DWAC executives improperly coordinated with each other and engaged in insider trading. They have also partnered with a Chinese firm with a dubious legal past. And the filing even mentions Trump’s prior business failures including…

“…the bankruptcies of Trump Taj Mahal, Trump Plaza, and Trump Castle, and the failures of Trump University, Trump Vodka, and Trump Steaks, among others. […] Digital World said in its filing: A number of companies that were associated with President Trump have filed for bankruptcy. There can be no assurances that TMTG will not also become bankrupt.”

There is considerable speculation on Wall Street that Trump’s social media sham won’t ever get off the ground. DWAC stock price is down about 65% from its recent high just a couple of months ago. And while Trump has said that he won’t go back on Twitter even if Elon Musk’s bid is successful (doubtful) and his account is reinstated, he lies too much for that – or anything else he says – to be taken seriously.

RELATED: Elon Musk’s Bid for Twitter is in Big Trouble, and So is Trump’s TRUTH Social

Meanwhile, Trump’s Twitter ban defying spokes-shill, Liz Harrington, has announced that “I will soon no longer be posting on Twitter. This is a terrible website that is beyond fixing.” She doesn’t say how soon “soon” is (and she is just as likely to be lying as Trump), but the reaction in the replies to her alleged farewell announcement are enthusiastically supportive and downright gleeful:

The Trump Effect: Ultra-MAGA PA Senate Candidate Refuses to Back GOP Nominee if She Loses

As the 2022 election cycle unfolds, Donald Trump continues to demonstrate his fetid influence on the Republican Party. His relentless fixation on nonexistent election fraud that he pretends cost him the 2020 election supersedes every other issue and is a prerequisite for receiving his toxic endorsement.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump Effect

In Pennsylvania the candidate that Trump endorsed for the Senate, Mehmet Oz, has not been especially popular with GOP voters in the state. He is currently struggling to hang on to a tiny lead in a three way primary race. Oz is running against another Trump-fluffing candidate, Dave McCormick, and the formerly fringe, now surging, Trump sycophant, and January 6th insurrectionist, Kathy Barnette.

Barnette was recently interviewed by Breitbart “News” and was asked a common and easily answered political question. And yet, she still managed to get the answer wrong:

Breitbart: If you do not win tomorrow, do you intend to support the Republican nominee whoever it is?
Barnette: I have no intentions of supporting globalists. I believe we have ran out of room on this runway for this spaceship. I believe we have very little rope left to just roll the dice and we’ll see how it all works out on the other end. […] I don’t think we have room to just vote for any old warm body with an R next to their name.

That’s great news for the likely Democratic candidate, John Fetterman. Particularly because the GOP’s Yellow Brick Road in Pennsylvania is currently leading toward Oz. If Barnette loses, the Trump cultists who support her could succumb to the poppy fields and sleep through the general election in November. And the Republican Party would have no one to blame for this but Trump.

RELATED: Trump Spokes-Shill Retweets Satirical Demand that ‘If We Can’t MAGA, Stay Home in November’

Trump has long demanded blind loyalty from his cult disciples. He insists that he is the only one who can fix America’s problems and that even other Republicans who aren’t unflinchingly faithful to him are cowards and/or RINOSs. He has even explicitly threatened the Party saying that if they don’t board the “Trump Train,” “Republicans will not be voting in ‘22 or ‘24.”

Trump has said that Barnette cannot win in the general election against Fetterman. But while Trump officially endorsed Oz, he also hedged his bet as he observed Barnette rising in the polls. He even praised her saying that if she won the primary “I will be behind her all the way.” Which is, surprisingly, more tolerant than Barnette herself who refuses to support her primary opponents if one of them should win.

Since Trump’s endorsement doesn’t seem to be pulling much weight in this race, Barnette’s supporters are more likely to follow her lead and sit out the general election. That’s a byproduct of Trump’s tunnel vision approach to party politics. It’s a “my way or the highway” strategy that is favored by aspiring authoritarian tyrants. And it is perfectly aligned with the Ultra-MAGA doctrine that President Biden aptly called the most extreme political organization that’s existed in recent American history.” So if Trump and his acolytes want to burn down the GOP, Democrats should just smile and say “please proceed.”

Donald Trump Jr Defends the Buffalo Shooter’s Racist Creed – as Seen Daily on Fox News

This week the nation suffered yet another mass shooting that took the lives of ten innocent people. The frequency of these tragedies are unique to the United States, where guns are far too easily accessible and right-wing politicians refuse to do anything about it.

Donald Trump Jr

In Buffalo, New York, the latest shooting was the work of an avowed white supremacist who detailed his hateful intentions in a manifesto that was posted online. There was no ambiguity about the killer’s motivations. “This was pure evil,” Erie County Sheriff John Garcia said. “It was a straight-up racially motivated hate crime from somebody outside of our community.” As reported by NBC News

“A manifesto apparently written by the suspect in a mass shooting at a Buffalo supermarket that killed 10 laid out specific plans to attack Black people and repeatedly cited the ‘Great Replacement’ Theory, the false idea that a cabal is attempting to replace white Americans with non-white people through immigration, interracial marriage and eventually violence.”

In his manifesto the shooter says that he was “radicalized” online. He mentions online havens of bigotry such as 4chan and the Nazi website, Stormfront. But the foul philosophy that he espoused has also been broadcast on a regular basis by Tucker Carlson and others on Fox News.

Carlson was not the least bit shy about his adherence to the noxious notions that comprise the racist theory. He advocated it proudly and explicitly saying…

“I know that the left and all the little gatekeepers on Twitter become literally hysterical if you use the term “replacement,” if you suggest that the Democratic Party is trying to replace the current electorate, the voters now casting ballots, with new people, more obedient voters from the Third World. But they become hysterical because that’s what’s happening actually.”

Even worse, Carlson’s rhetoric overtly suggested resorting to violence as a means of crushing the future of diversity that he feared…

“If you change the population, you dilute the political power of the people who live there. So every time they import a new voter, I become disenfranchised as a current voter. […] Why should I sit back and take that?”

So no one should be surprised that many people have recognized the resemblance of the shooter’s manifesto to the loathsome positions taken by numerous Fox News hosts. It’s impossible to pretend that the similarities don’t exist. Well, unless you’re Donald Trump Jr, who sought to absolve Fox News of any culpability in tweet responding to former Clinton Press Secretary, Joe Lockhart, who aptly observed the obvious…

The Trump spawn’s absolution of Fox News hinges on the flimsy assertion that “The killer attacks Fox News in his manifesto.” So what? Daddy Trump long ago abandoned Fox News, along with his glassy-eyed cult disciples. He declared the network “unwatchable” and laughably accused it of being aligned with the “radical left Democrats.”

What’s more, the shooter’s remarks about Fox News in his manifesto are entirely irrelevant to whether he supports Carlson’s views. He simply posted a blatantly anti-Semitic graphic that falsely labeled dozens of Fox hosts as being Jewish, and therefore, complicit with some global conspiracy to rule the world. But that doesn’t mean he isn’t also a fan of Carlson, with whom he agrees on most issues.

Criticizing the network about one thing doesn’t mean he spurns those who are clearly on his side. Despite his harsh words, Daddy Trump still engages with Carlson, Sean Hannity, and other Fox shills.

Last year the Daily Show put together a video that reveals the similarities between Carlson’s commentaries and the manifestos of two white supremacist mass shooters. Now, sadly, they need to update this with the Buffalo shooter’s manifesto.

UPDATE: If further evidence that Trump and his followers are domestic terrorists is necessary, this is video of Ted Nugent at a Trump rally in Austin, Texas, Saturday night (after the shooting) saying “I love you, but I would love you more if you went out and just went berserk on the skulls of the Democrats and the Marxists and the communists.” That’s Trump’s rally! He hasn’t renounced it. This is a rally where he charged up to $4,995 to attend.

MSNBC’s Chris Hayes Delivers a Righteous Rant Blasting Fox News for Advocating Starving Babies

The most predictable consequence of any crisis that America faces is that Fox News will waste no time trying to exploit it for purely partisan political purposes. And it won’t matter to Fox whether there is any truth to their exploitative endeavors, or how much rancid racism is ingrained in it.

Donald Trump, Immigrant, Child

The current shortage of baby formula in the U.S. is the latest example of how Fox manipulates the news to create division and fuel prejudice. Rather than explore ways to address the problem, or even to offer a rational debate on the subject, Fox News went directly to blaming President Biden and the innocent babies brought across the border by refugees fleeing poverty and violence.

RELATED: Biden Trashes Fox News Hack for ‘Garbage’ Question About Immigrant Children

The abhorrent positions expressed on Fox News reflect the bigotry against immigrants that Donald Trump has enabled and exacerbated. But Chris Hayes, host of “All In” on MSNBC, wasn’t taking it lightly. And he let loose with an impassioned monologue that effectively dismantled the noxious Fox News narrative (video below). Hayes began by saying that…

“We have reached the point where prominent figures in the conservative movement, including Republican politicians, office holders, and Fox News hosts, are calling for the United States to intentionally starve babies in its care. That is not hyperbole, and it’s not satire. It is the actual stated position now on the right.” […]

“Causes and solutions are not what the modern conservative movement really does when faced with a legitimate governing crisis. What they do is sniff around, like a dog after a carcass, to find the grossest way to demagogue the issue. And they have certainly found that here.”

Hayes then did something that is anathema to Fox News. He provided actual facts. He noted that there are less than a thousand infants in the custody of immigration authorities, and that they are required by law to feed them. That’s a miniscule percentage of the more than 3.7 million babies in America. So the argument that “illegal” babies (as Fox News disgustingly refers to them) are depriving American babies of formula is a deliberate and despicable lie. But that doesn’t stop Fox News from dispensing such hateful commentaries, and Hayes offers up a damning video compilation of them doing so.

Hayes also mocked the Fox News narrative that “The right solution to this formula crisis and shortage is to stop feeding the immigrant babies.” Obviously, if all of the formula provided to immigrant infants was redirected to Americans it wouldn’t make a dent in the problem. But, as previously noted, Fox News isn’t interested in solutions, just casting blame and manufacturing outrage. And while Fox News and heartless Republicans (yes, that’s redundant) are lying about the reasons for the formula shortage, the Biden administration is actually working to solve the problem.

In one especially loathsome part of the video that Hayes played, Fox hate monger Jesse Watters asked “Why are we feeding illegal babies ahead of American babies?” Just stop and think for moment about the repugnancy of that comment pitting one group of infants against another for life-saving sustenance. Hayes responded with apt revulsion saying, “Because they’re babies, you doofus!” He elaborated saying that…

“It would be a crime against humanity, and mass murder, to intentionally starve babies that you have in your custody, not to mention blatantly illegal. What is wrong with you?”

What is wrong with the cretins at Fox News is that they have no moral core. They are so fiercely fixated on their ultra-rightist political agenda that even the welfare of helpless infants is beyond their capacity to care. They would prefer to see migrant babies starve to death than to look realistically at the problem and seek collaborative solutions.

These allegedly “pro-life” Republicans and Fox News hacks would literally take the food from a baby’s mouth in order advance their crusade of cruelty. It’s what they have always done. They are just more open about it now.
