The Biden Campaign is Now on Trump’s Truth Social For Your Entertainment Pleasure

President Biden has been extraordinarily busy in the past couple of weeks. He has been struggling to do the people’s business while the utterly inept Republicans in Congress have crippled the legislative branch with their failure to complete the most common tasks, such as electing electing a Speaker or proposing a platform.

Furthermore, the attack on Israel by the Hamas terrorists has understandably consumed a significant portion of Biden’s time. That’s in addition to the administration’s efforts on behalf of Ukraine, the delicate relations with China, the diplomacy with our international allies, and the many domestic matters that crowd the White House calendar.

Meanwhile, Republicans continue to fritter away their days with purely political posturing and pettiness. Their legislative agenda consists of little more than sham investigations of Hunter Biden and phony “weaponization of government” hearings, that are the true perpetrators of government weaponization. And amidst all of that, their Dear Leader, Donald Trump, remains devoted to doing nothing but posting inanities on his Truth Social scam that is getting closer to bankruptcy every day.

Since the GOP cult is so fixated on Trump and his mindless musings online, the Biden campaign has decided that if you can’t tweet them, why not troll the heck out of them on their own turf. Consequently, they have created an account on Truth Social where they can post some actual truths for the MAGA disciples to ignore and/or freak out about. Here are the first few posts by the Biden campaign that are getting in Trump’s face on his own website…

By contrast, at the same time Trump was posting his dismay at being told by a judge that he cannot continue to intimidate court officials and witnesses. He raged that “A TERRIBLE THING HAPPENED TO DEMOCRACY TODAY – GAG ORDER!” Actually, it’s precisely the same treatment that any other belligerent defendant would get. But in Trump’s perverse perspective it warrants the following bizarre run-on sentence that exhibits just how mentally disturbed he is…

“A Leaking, Crooked and Deranged Prosecutor, Jack Smith, who has a terrible record of failure, is asking a highly partisan Obama appointed Judge, Tanya Chutkan, who should recuse herself based on the horrible things she has said, to silence me, through the use of a powerful GAG ORDER, making it impossible for me to criticize those who are doing the silencing, namely Crooked Joe Biden, and his corrupt and weaponized DOJ & FBI.”

Biden campaign officials told Fox News that “There’s very little ‘truth’ happening on Truth Social, but at least now it’ll be a little fun.” And a statement by Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung, said that, “Crooked Joe Biden and his team are finally acknowledging that Truth Social is hot as a pistol and the only place where real news happens.”

Not exactly. What Biden and his team are acknowledging is that there is a rich mine of troll worthy malarkey on Truth Social and they aim to take full advantage of it. At least until they get banned. It’s not unlike the recent video of Marjorie Taylor Greene itemizing what she considered to be criticisms of Biden’s agenda, but which the Biden campaign reposted verbatim with pride for the broadly popular accomplishments they achieved in their first two years.

WTF? Fox News Hosts Argue to End Trump Prosecutions Because of – Hamas Terrorism in Israel?

It has been a week since the terrorists of Hamas launched a savage surprise assault on civilians in Israel. That assault predictably led to the Israeli Defense Forces mounting a campaign to root out the perpetrators and to prevent further hostilities against innocent citizens from many countries, including the United States. It was the commencement of a conflagration that will likely produce even more tragic casualties.

Here at home, the ultra-rightist propaganda machine we know as Fox News set out to relieve the Hamas terrorists from responsibility and instead assign blame to President Biden and, more broadly, to America. The “Blame America First” brigade manufactured wholly dishonest allegations that the Biden administration was somehow responsible for the attack. Donald Trump was among the anti-America crowd with his preposterous assertion that “American taxpayer dollars helped fund these attacks, which many reports are saying came from the Biden Administration.” It is smear campaign so ridiculous that even a Fox News reporter shot it down.

Undeterred by facts or reason, shills at Fox News have escalated their traitorous tirades. And having apparently run out of their garden variety garbage, they are now stirring up cocktails of crackpottery that are absurd even by their screwball standards.

On Tuesday night’s episode of Laura Ingraham’s program, she endeavored to combine two subjects that couldn’t be farther apart. In a segment wherein she criticized President Biden for daring to speak eloquently about America’s commitment to Israel and our rejection of hate groups here at home, Ingraham spit out a puzzling and perverse argument on behalf of her Dear Leader Trump…

Biden (on video): Let’s be real clear. There is no place for hate in America.
Ingraham: Okay. Well, if he’s really against hate, then he should call a prosecutorial cease-fire against his political adversaries like the former president, and direct his DOJ and DHS to stop making conservative Americans feel like they are the enemy or like they’re the violent extremists out there.

HUH? What does Biden’s message opposing hate have to do with the prosecution of Trump on 91 felony counts for which there is abundant evidence of his guilt? Her use of the terms of war (i.e. “cease fire”) are deliberate attempts to inflame irrational outrage on the part of her cult viewers. And the Departments of Justice and Homeland Security are doing their jobs to protect Americans and hold violent lawbreakers, including Trump, accountable.

What’s more, Biden has been acting ethically in office by not interfering with the administration of justice, which Ingraham is now imploring him to do. That sort of interference and abuse of power is what Trump has explicitly promised to do if he were to be reelected. But it is contrary to the principles of law that have governed this nation since its founding.

In addition to Ingraham, Fox’s Mark Levin likewise conflated Trump’s legal tribulations with the terrorism in the Middle East. Levin made the following comments on his program, which Trump promptly quoted on his failing social media scam, Truth Social…

“Meanwhile, this lowlife, Jack Smith, and his master, the lowlife attorney general, continue their fascistic campaign against Trump, even now, as it becomes crystal clear to more and more Americans that Trump brought historic peace to the Middle East while the regime has blown it up and betrayed the Israelis.”

That comment is wrong on so many levels. First of all, Trump is hiding behind Levin’s words to avoid – he thinks – being found in contempt of court for violating the order to refrain from disparaging the court’s officers. Secondly, he still has no idea what “fascism” means. Third, he is quite obviously lying about having “brought peace to the Middle East.” He is also lying about Biden having “betrayed the Israelis,” who have been profusely expressing their gratitude to Biden and America for their unwavering support.

Of course, both Levin and Ingraham are making no sense at all with their juxtaposition of Trump’s legal problems with the Hamas attacks. But then, when have the brazenly biased attacks by Fox News ever made any sense? That isn’t even their purpose. The only objective of the mostly incomprehensible commentaries on Fox News is to enrage their audience and incite hostilities toward Democrats. And that doesn’t require logic or facts or anything resembling reality.

While Fox News Bashes Biden on Israel, Netanyahu Thanks Him for His ‘Incredible Support’

Naturally, The GOP’s Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News, is at the forefront of disseminating lies and deliberate disinformation in pursuit of their partisan political goals. They would rather engage in smear campaigns against their domestic electoral foes, than to stand up for their international allies who are suffering a torrent of savagery. Consequently, the narrative at Fox News is that this is all somehow President Biden’s fault. It’s such a ridiculous proposition that Fox News can’t even sustain it…

To no one’s surprise, Donald Trump is thoroughly bought into the “Blame America First” brigade. And on Wednesday he gave a speech wherein praised the terrorists who are massacring innocent Israelis, and turned his wrath on our Israeli allies, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who Trump may have been angry with for showing solidarity with Biden.

Trump’s tirade led to the Israeli Communications Minister, Shlomo Karhi, responding to say that it is “shameful that a man like that, a former US president, abets propaganda and disseminates things that wound the spirit of Israel’s fighters and its citizens. We don’t have to bother with him and the nonsense he spouts.” And Netanyahu expressed his unreserved gratitude to America in general, and Biden in particular, in a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, saying…

“Mr. Secretary. My good friend, Tony. Thank you, thank President Biden, and thank you to the American people for your incredible support for Israel in our war against the barbarians of Hamas.”

It’s notable that Fox News covered that part of the Blinken/Netanyahu summit. But rest assured that it will not likely be repeated on their primetime Trump-fluffing programs. Nor will they air Netanyahu embracing Biden’s support and praising America “for standing with Israel today, tomorrow, and always.”

Much of Fox’s coverage of the Hamas crusade against Israel seeks to preposterously accuse Biden of providing the financing for it. They cite a recent prisoner swap agreement with Iran wherein the U.S. relaxed sanctions of $6 billion of Iranian money that was frozen in South Korean banks. None of that money, however, would go to the Iranian regime. It was to be held in Qatar and used only for verified humanitarian purposes that would have to be approved by the U.S. And now even that usage has been suspended.

What’s more, Fox News further sought to blame Biden for what they called the “lack of Senate confirmed elected officials” in foreign policy and military positions. However, Fox didn’t bother to mention that those vacancies were due to Senate Republicans obstructing the confirmation of nominees that the White House had already put forward.

It’s profoundly damaging to the national security interests of the United States for Republicans and Fox News to be so brazenly disparaging of America and its allies during a time of crisis. But that’s where we are now as the MAGA GOP exerts their unsavory influences on the nation via their MAGA media outlets. It’s just further proof that they care more about their political prospects than they do about their fellow American, or the country, or the world.

Self-Appointed Pseudo Messiah Trump Decrees that ‘Nobody Else’ But Him Can Keep Israel Safe

Flaming Trump

In the immediate aftermath of the savage attacks on innocent civilians, including children, Donald Trump and his MAGA Republican confederates sought to shift responsibility from the perpetrators of the inhumane brutality, to President Biden. They have engaged in a flagrantly dishonest and disgusting campaign to “Blame America First” in an effort to gain some paltry political advantage.

True to form, Trump keeps making matters worse with every comment in the media or post on his pitifully failing social media scam, Truth Social. Case in point, on Tuesday Trump posted his declaration that…

“I KEPT ISRAEL SAFE! NOBODY ELSE WILL, NOBODY ELSE CAN, AND I KNOW ALL OF THE PLAYERS!!!”

This is just the latest expression by Trump of his perception of himself as a holy figure with powers greater than mere mortals. He has previously declared that he alone can “bring peace to the World!” He also recently boasted that he is “stand[ing] up to the evil and demonic forces that want to destroy our country.” Now he is Israel’s savior and he claims to “know all the players.” Really? Even those in Hamas? All of which is consistent with the delusions of someone who once proclaimed to reporters that “I am the chosen one.”

These are the mad ravings of a wannabe messiah who yearns for the sort of devotion that is showered onto cult leaders. And when he isn’t elevating himself to sainthood, he is condemning his perceived enemies as heathens from the depths of hell.

More often than not, that disparagement is aimed at President Biden. Trump is now lying to his disciples that Biden used “American taxpayer dollars [to] fund these attacks” in Israel. He asserted what he falsely called “Biden’s ineptitude, weakness, and incompetence [that] has led to this horrible attack.” And like every bad thing that ever happens, he insists that it “WOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED IF I WERE PRESIDENT.”

Trump is also fomenting imaginary fears that “The same people that raided Israel are pouring into our once beautiful USA.” So Trump is now claiming, without and proof whatsoever, that Hamas is “pouring into” the U.S. And all of this is at the behest of “his BOSS, Barack Hussein Obama!”

For additional evidence of Trump’s nightmarish hallucinatory dementia – not that any more evidence is necessary – Trump also posted a harangue aimed at some of his fellow Republicans who have dared to withhold their pledge of blind loyalty to him. He posted a comment whining that…

“The problem with so many in our Party, they go after the people who are on their side, rather than the Radical Left Democrats.”

This was in response to a report that a few of his challengers are gathering at a summit in Utah. What makes this hysterically absurd is that that same post began with Trump saying…

“I understand Candidates that are losing by 57 to 70 Points are getting together with RINO Paul RINO, Mitt “The Loser” Romney, Bill “No Guts or Talent” Barr, and some broken political ‘investors'”

Needless to say, no one more viciously attacks Republicans that Trump. This comment displays it in a single post. However, he has previously called the GOP minority leader in the Senate “Old Crow” Mitch McConnell, and his wife “Coco Chow.” During the January 6th insurrection, he blasted Kevin McCarthy saying, “I guess these people are more upset about the election than you are.” He viciously attacks his Republican challengers in the GOP presidential primary with childish nicknames such as “Ron DeSanctimonious,” “Sloppy Chris Christie,” “Bird Brain” Nikki Haley,” and “Liddle'” Mike Pence.” And he even threatened those he deems “weak” Republicans, saying that “we will put them all in jail where they belong.”

Well, that’s actually not a bad idea. However, we should start with those who already have multiple pending criminal indictments, such as Donald Trump.

Fox News Blames Biden for the Lack of Foreign Policy Officials – That Republicans Have Blocked

The catastrophic conflagration in the Middle East continues as Hamas terrorists persist in attacking Israeli civilians while threatening to murder innocent hostages, including children. Meanwhile, the United States, under President Biden’s leadership, has effectively rallied its allies around the world to affirm their support for Israel and to condemn the atrocities of Hamas and all acts of terrorism and war crimes.

Unfortunately, America’s steadfast opposition to the perpetrators of crimes against humanity is not shared by all in the Republican Party and its Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News. Led by their Dear Leader Donald Trump, many in the GOP and their aligned right-wing media rushed to assign responsibility for the Hamas savagery to Biden, dishonestly and grotesquely accusing him of financing the barbarism.

On Tuesday morning, Fox News host Emily Compagno joined the “Blame America First” brigade. In a thoroughly untruthful tirade, she lashed out at Biden, saying that he “has set the tone for a lack of response.” Whereupon she imparted almost verbatim part of an article published in “Foreign Policy.”

Note that Compagno is upset about the “lack of Senate confirmed elected officials.” But, of course, Senate confirmed officials are not elected, and elected officials are not Senate confirmed. Then she gave her edited version of what the actual article said. Which was…

“At the time of the deadly Hamas attack on Israel, Washington’s closest ally in the Middle East, the United States had no confirmed ambassadors to Israel, Egypt, Oman, or Kuwait. The State Department’s top counterterrorism envoy position has sat empty for more than two years, the top human rights envoy position—the assistant secretary of state for democracy, human rights, and labor—has been unfilled for the entirety of the Biden administration, and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has not had a top Middle East official in nearly three years.”

However, Compagno deliberately left out the paragraphs that followed the part she robotically recited. The article went on to say that…

“The mostly empty bench is due to a nearly broken Senate confirmation process, where nominees have languished in limbo for months or even years due to the ‘new normal’ practice of Republican senators placing sweeping holds on all nominees for different agencies over policy disputes with the administration. On the Pentagon side, hundreds of senior military posts are on indefinite pause due to Sen. Tommy Tuberville’s blanket hold on nominees over the Biden administration’s abortion access policies for the military—including senior officials at U.S. Central Command, which oversees the Middle East. At the State Department, Republican Sen. Rand Paul has held numerous nominees over access to documents on the origins of COVID-19, while fellow Republican Sens. J.D. Vance and Ted Cruz have also previously issued holds.”

So what Compagno omitted were merely the facts that revealed that it wasn’t Biden who “set the tone for a lack of response.” It was the Republicans in Congress who worked to purposefully sabotage the Biden administration, and therefore America and its allies, by hamstringing its ability conduct critical national security affairs.

This is business as usual for both Republicans and Fox News. They have always cared more about trying to cripple their political opponents, and advancing their own hunger for power, than about the welfare of the nation or the world. It’s an obsession for totalitarian control that has driven the right for decades. And Trump is just the most recent personification of their fantasy strongman/dictator.

Despite the right’s determined efforts to impede the goals of Biden and America, the President has performed remarkably well. He successfully brought together our allies in support of Israel. And that success was notice by the Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations, who told NBC News that “Right now we are grateful to President Biden and his administration. I think they are helping us a lot.”

Surprisingly, even the Chief National Security Correspondent for Fox News, Jennifer Griffin, debunked the lies that have been told by Republicans and other Fox News shills, accusing Biden of being responsible for the attack on Israel. If she continues to do that sort of reporting she might just end up with an Emmy – and a pink slip from Fox.

Trump’s ‘Blame America First’ MAGA GOP Aims Their Fire at Biden Rather than Hamas Terrorists

The always volatile affairs of the Middle East have unfortunately become inflamed again with a barrage of brutal missile attacks against Israel by Hamas terrorists in Gaza. The surprise assault has resulted in dozens of casualties of mostly civilians, including children. The free world has united in condemnation of the attack that Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has described as an act of war.

Here at home in the United States the reaction by leaders has been a mostly uniform expression of outrage, along with firm commitments to stand by our Israeli allies. However, there have been some despicably diverging sentiments as to who is responsible for this grotesque and unwarranted hostility. And the source of those sordid sentiments is all too predictable. Beginning with the guy who regards himself as the messiah…

Shortly after the news of the attack broke, Trump posted his thoughts on his pitifully failing social media scam, Truth Social. He wrote that…

“These Hamas attacks are a disgrace and Israel has every right to defend itself with overwhelming force. Sadly, American taxpayer dollars helped fund these attacks, which many reports are saying came from the Biden Administration. We brought so much peace to the Middle East through the Abraham Accords, only to see Biden whittle it away at a far more rapid pace than anyone thought possible. Here we go again.”

It didn’t take long for the chief spokesman of the “Blame America First” faction to point his fat finger at the United States as the promulgators of the terrorism. Although his awkward phrasing makes it unclear if he’s accusing the U.S. of conducting the attacks or merely paying for them. Either way it isn’t true by any stretch of his warped imagination. What’s more, the Abraham Accords that he is flaunting were between the U.S., the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain, explicitly excluding the Palestinians in Gaza.

Trump also offers no support for his baseless and bizarre assertion that President Biden “whittled away” anything related to the Accords. To the contrary, he supported and enhanced them. But the mere presence of facts has never deterred Trump from making wildly preposterous claims. After the post above, Trump added the following in another post…

“Joe Biden’s ineptitude, weakness, and incompetence has led to this horrible attack on Israel, and it will only get worse. Just four years ago we had the signing of the historic Abraham Accords, and today we have an attack on Israel. What a difference a President makes!”

Once again, Trump’s tirade bears no resemblance to reality. It is simply his effort to make the U.S. the villains and to agree with and affirm the position of his pal, Vladimir Putin, in Russia.

Meanwhile, Biden released a statement that demonstrates how an intelligent, effective diplomat responds to a crisis such as this, putting the blame on the responsible parties. He wrote in part that…

“The United States unequivocally condemns this appalling assault against Israel by Hamas terrorists from Gaza, and I made clear to Prime Minister Netanyahu that we stand ready to offer all appropriate means of support to the Government and people of Israel. Terrorism is never justified. Israel has a right to defend itself and its people.”

Elsewhere in Washington, Trump’s MAGA minions were parroting his “Blame America First” positions. Republican House majority leader, Steve Scalise said that…

“The Biden Administration must be held accountable for its appeasement of these Hamas terrorists, including handing over billions of dollars to them and their Iranian backers.”

Like Trump, Scalise insists that it is not Hamas that “must be held accountable.” And he is, of course, lying about the U.S. “handing over billions of dollars” to Iran. That is likely a reference to a recent deal to secure the release of Americans from Iran by unfreezing iran’s own funds, held in South Korea, to Qatar, where they would be dispensed only for bona fide humanitarian projects.

Contrast that with the statement by the Democratic House minority leader, Hakeem Jeffries who wrote that…

“I strongly condemn the violent and ghastly attack by the terrorist organization Hamas on the Jewish people and the State of Israel. America stands firmly and unequivocally with Israel. We will strongly support Israel’s right to defend herself from this despicable attack.”

So while Democrats properly blame Hamas for the attack on Israel, Trump and his MAGA Republicans blame America and Biden. At least they are consistent as they also blamed America and Biden for Vladimir Putin’s terrorist attack on Ukraine. However, will they be consistent with regard to how the U.S. should respond to the those attacks?

Many Republicans are opposed to the U.S. funding Ukraine’s defense from Russian aggression. They believe those funds should be spent defending America’s borders, not Ukraine’s. So to be consistent, the GOP should also oppose funds for Israel for the same reasons.

However, if you’re expecting consistency from the GOP you’re going to be sorely disappointed. They value hypocrisy far more than consistency. And they will always jump at the chance to malign America if it serves their political interests to do so. That’s the sort of perversion of patriotism practiced by the MAGA-publicans.

The abundance of significantly newsworthy events this week has challenged the media to properly cover them all. Fox News, Peter Doocy

Naturally, the ego-tastic Trump has endeavored to make himself the center of attention regardless of what the topic of any news story might be. Not because he has anything useful to contribute, but in the service of his three obsessions: 1) His fears related to his numerous criminal cases. 2) His compulsion to fleece his flock for more funds. and 3) His desperate efforts to return to the White House so that he can exploit it to do more about #1 and #2.

Meanwhile, Fox News White House correspondent, Peter Doocy, is striving to maintain his role as the leading “Stupid S.O.B.” (as President Biden so fittingly described him) in the White House briefing room. Rather than asking questions about any of the above matters that are actual news stories, Doocy has been demonstrating just how asinine a wannabe “reporter” can be if he puts his deficient mind to it. What follows are some of the questions that Doocy considered to be of critical importance to the American people this week.

October 2: “So did President Biden ever try to get out of a meeting by pulling a fire alarm?”
You have to wonder what Doocy thought the answer to this question might be, or how it would serve the public to hear it.

October 3: “If President Biden’s policies are helping bring crime down, would he be comfortable with somebody borrowing his Corvette and parking it on the street overnight in southeast D.C.?”
Right! Because where Biden parks his car, and how the local D.C. police department protects the citizens of the community is just what America wants to know more about.

October 4: “Is any part of the West Wing just loving the fact that Republicans don’t appear to be able to govern the one part of the government that they actually control.”
Apparently Doocy thinks that the administration sits around chuckling at the notion that the Republican-led House is too dysfunctional to pass any legislation that might help the nation, including the White House’s legislation.

October 4: “There are some new pictures of Commander Biden biting a staffer again. How many times has that dog bitten the Bidens?” […] “Isn’t the president worried about getting sued?”
Once again, Doocy is doggedly digging into the heart of matters that will determine the fate of America.

October 4: “Has anybody in the West Wing heard anybody talking about the possibility of Speaker Trump?”
Because Doocy (and the nation) needs to know if people in the White House are as obsessed with idiotic fantasies that will never happen as he and Fox News are.

Yes, as you can see in the videos, those are all real questions. That’s what the official White House correspondent at Fox News is asking daily in the White House briefing room. And the week is only half over. The answers supplied by Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, demonstrate both her intelligence and patience. A less tolerant press secretary would have booted Doocy from the room, and from the White House press corps, a long time ago.

Fox News Cuts Out Democrats in Their Coverage of the GOP’s Bogus Biden Impeachment Inquiry

In two days the Republican shutdown of the government will go into effect, barring any last minute agreement with the Democrats who are valiantly trying to prevent this economic calamity. But despite the nation being on the edge of a fiscal cliff that will cause serious harm to millions of Americans, Republicans are laser-focused on their baseless impeachment inquiry intended only to smear President Biden.

That, however, is of no concern to Republicans whose their only interest is partisan political scandal mongering and personal defamation of their Democratic foes. They have even been saying so explicitly since they assumed their razor-thin majority in the House of Representatives…

The first inquiry hearing held by James Comer, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, further demonstrated how pitifully inept the Republicans are at manufacturing misdeeds. You might think that they would be better at it after all the practice they have had. But no.

Consequently, The Republican Ministry of Disinformation (aka Fox News) is having to cover for them again. During their live broadcast of the Committee’s proceedings, Fox News diligently aired the questions and commentary by Republican members of the Committee. But when it came time for a Democrat to speak, they quickly cut away to offer their biased analysis from the studio. Just as Democratic Rep. Stephen Lynch began to offer a counter argument to the GOP narrative, Fox News host Harris Faulkner interrupted up to say…

“So Republicans are laying out the reasons for this impeachment inquiry as they begin to put together the case made for impeaching in full President Joe Biden. And so this five minutes per lawmaker – there are 47 in the room – period is what they’re on now. After hearing from the witnesses, some of whom you might even recognize.

First of all, if Republicans are “laying out the reasons for this impeachment inquiry” they are doing an abysmal job of it. They have zero evidence to offer and disreputable witnesses to interview. But more to the point, her timing is impeccable as she interrupts the remarks of Rep. Lynch in order to interview ultra-rightist hack, Leo Terrell. This is an old tactic that Fox News also employed during hearings about Trump’s unsavory associations with Russia and his two impeachments. Every time it was a Democrat’s turn to speak, Fox cut away. They also did this to prevent a speech given by Hillary Clinton…

For the record, what Fox News cut off was Lynch’s grilling of GOP witness, Eileen O’Connor, a staunch Trump-fluffer whose rank partisanship is unparalleled. He noted that in her opening statement she referred to a commentary that she wrote entitled “You would go to prison for what Biden did.” However, she left out that the title and article actually said “what ‘Hunter’ Biden did.” She claimed it was an inadvertent omission, but would you believe a MAGA cultist?

In another part of the hearing, Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez asked frequent Fox News legal confabulator, Jonathan Turley, a simple question. “In your testimony today,” she began, “are you presenting any first-hand witness account of crimes committed by the president of the United States?” Turley replied “No, I’m not.” Rep. Ocasio-Cortez asked the same question of the other witnesses who likewise replied “No.” Which begs the question, “What are they even doing there?”

There were many moments when Republicans were humiliated by the lack of evidence or any plausible reason for the hearings. But one moment stood out as Rep. Greg Casar asked “Will members of the oversight committee raise their hands if you believe both Hunter and Trump should be held accountable for any of indictments if convicted?” Every Democrat raised their hand, but not a single Republican did. So apparently the GOP does not believe that the law should apply equally to anyone. Or perhaps that the law should be equally ignored for everyone. Bottom line: They have, in effect, admitted that their hearings are a partisan sham.

OH NO! Fox News Frets About Government Shutdown Because it Might Stall the Biden Impeachment

There is less than one week to go before the Republican Congress throws the U.S. government into yet another costly shutdown. In that time the GOP will likely continue debating against itself and making threats aimed at Democrats that will ultimately result in harm to the American people.

GOP House Squeaker, Kevin McCarthy, has totally lost control of his caucus, Twice he failed to advance a rule allowing the pending appropriations bills to be debated. All of the opposition is coming from within his own party, who seem to believe that a shutdown would actually be beneficial. Sure it is. So long as you don’t ask the millions of Americans who rely on services related to everything from building permits, to interstate and international travel, to financial aid, to veterans benefits, to tax information and filing, and so much more.

On Sunday morning GOP Sen. Mike Lee was interviewed on Fox News by their Senior Trump-Fluffer, Maria Bartiromo. During their chat Bartiromo and Lee expressed their deep concern as to the potential disruptions that a shutdown would cause. And in this segment they revealed what they regard as the most pertinent matter facing the nation…

Bartiromo: If we see a government shutdown does the investigation of President Biden stop? We’ve learned so much about what he and his family have been doing in the last decade.
Lee: And those allegations are very troubling. They need to be investigated. And I applaud Speaker McCarthy for launching this inquiry. I am aware of no reason, Maria, why that inquiry could not continue if the government were to shut down temporarily. There is nothing suggesting to me that Congress can’t do its work if that happens. In any event, we shouldn’t use that as an excuse unilaterally to disarm and to accede to whatever the Democrats want.

So with vital government services at risk of being curtailed, the top priority for Bartiromo and Lee is a bogus impeachment inquiry into baseless allegations against President Biden. And Bartiromo’s claim that “We’ve learned so much” about alleged Biden wrongdoing is patently false. To the contrary, every attempt to manufacture some pseudo-scandal actually resulted in proof that Biden and his administration have been extraordinarily honest and ethical.

As for Lee’s reassurance to Bartiromo that the shutdown wouldn’t impede the ill-considered inquiry, he is either placating her wingnut anxieties, or he is woefully ignorant of congressional business. While Congress can continue to operate during a shutdown, each member would make decisions as to which staffers would be considered “essential” and keep working. The others would be furloughed. And while the member would continue to be paid, none of the remaining staff would be until the shutdown was over.

What’s more, offices in other branches of government would be closed or reduced in staff during a shutdown. So any requests made by the GOP’s investigating committees would not be able to be answered. Which would, in effect, shut down their work, other than to whine about how the administration is allegedly stonewalling them.

It’s notable that Lee’s position contradicts that of McCarthy, whose post as House leader is more directly responsible for these considerations. And on this matter McCarthy made it clear that a shutdown would indeed impact any pending House investigations. As reported by Reuters…

“The looming U.S. government shutdown that some hardline Republicans, including Donald Trump, are cheering for could slow one of their other priorities: the recently launched impeachment inquiry of Democratic President Joe Biden. […] ‘If we shut down, all of government shuts it down, investigation and everything else,’ McCarthy said in an interview with Fox News.

As usual, the GOP is a cesspool of chaos and lies. And it shouldn’t surprise anyone that what worries Republicans should a shutdown occur does not seem to include the loss of critical services that Americans rely on, including housing and food programs for low-income families and seniors, learning and education assistance for students, job training and placement for veterans and the un- and under-employed.

Their only concern is that a shutdown could stall their brazenly partisan political attacks on Biden and his family. Which is further evidence – as if it were necessary – that Republicans couldn’t possibly care less about the American people. They only care about advancing their lust for profit and power. And to hell with the needs of their constituents. It’s an old story that just gets more repulsive with each retelling.

Trump Has a 2:30 AM Meltdown Over President Biden Upstaging His Phony Union Rally

Donald Trump has been running for the 2024 Republican Party nomination for president for nearly three years now. He began immediately after (if not before) he lost the 2020 presidential race to Joe Biden, a man that Trump tried to portray as a senile communist aligned with Satan for world destruction.

Despite his three year head start, it’s hard to describe Trump’s activities as anything resembling a legitimate campaign. He’s held a couple of of his cult rallies, posted hundreds of cranky, crackpot comments on his failing social media scam, Truth Social, and appeared on friendly right-wing media. With the notable exception of his disastrous “Meet the Press” interview. He isn’t even participating in the GOP primary debates. That’s likely because he’s scared witless of facing his challengers and/or further incriminating himself on one or more of the 91 felony charges he’s currently facing.

What Trump hasn’t done is to outline any sort of agenda for what he would hope to accomplish were he to be elected. The entire focus of his campaign is firmly rooted in his delusional and thoroughly debunked claims of election fraud, and his seething animus for his victorious opponent, President Biden. And to illustrate just how fixated Trump is on Biden, he posted a comment at 2:30 AM Saturday morning that was curdling with contempt. He obviously couldn’t sleep after Biden announced his plan to upstage Trump’s debate-dodging, phony union rally next week. What follows is an annotated transcription of Trump’s tantrum:

“Crooked Joe Biden had no intention of going to visit the United Autoworkers, until I announced that I would be heading to Michigan to be with them, & help then (sic) out.”

Needless to say, Trump had no idea of what Biden’s intentions were. And Biden surely doesn’t consult with Trump before setting his schedule. However, any fair observer would have presumed that Biden would show his support for the striking union workers. And Biden’s decision to do so the day before Trump’s bogus union rally is just smart strategic thinking.

“Actually, Crooked Joe sold them down the river with his ridiculous all Electric Car Hoax. This wasn’t Biden’s idea, he can’t put two sentences together.”

This is Trump’s 19th allegation that whatever is triggering his anxiety is a hoax. And with regard to who is able to put coherent sentences together, the following video will provide some relevant context.

“It was the idea of the Radical Left Fascists, Marxists, & Communists who control him and who, in so doing, are DESTROYING OUR COUNTRY! Within 3 years, all of these cars will be made in China.”

First of all, someone needs to inform Trump that fascists and Marxists are at polar opposites of the ideological spectrum. More to the point, Trump has lately been pushing this nonsense about all electric vehicles being made in China. The EV market in the U.S. is already huge, and not one of the major brands is Chinese. His twisted imagination is getting away from him, again.

“That’s what Sleepy Joe wants, because China pays him and his family a FORTUNE. He is a Manchurian Candidate.”

It is preposterous for Trump to peddle these baseless lies about Biden having any financial ties to China, when it’s Trump who has documented business in China, including his previously secret bank accounts.

“If the UAW ‘leadership’ doesn’t ENDORSE me, and if I don’t win the Election, the Autoworkers are ‘toast,’ with our great truckers to follow.”

Trump loves to issue impotent threats like this that have no basis in reality. The truth is that he, and his Republican Party, are longtime opponents of unions and the interests of the working class. They are beholden to the corporations who fund their campaigns in order to cut taxes and regulations, and weaken the bargaining power of unions. By contrast, Biden is lifelong union supporter, and is proud of it, as demonstrated in this video…

“Crooked Joe Biden is the most Corrupt and Incompetent President in the history of the USA. If he is able to gather the energy to show up, tell him to go to the Southern Border instead, & to leave the Car Industry alone!”

Trump closes his rant with some textbook projection. It is Trump whose corruption has resulted in four criminal indictments on 91 felony counts. And it is Trump’s incompetence that led to the loss of millions of jobs during his occupation of the White House. Not mention more than a million lives due to his deliberate mismanagement of the COVID pandemic.

If Trump is “able to gather the energy” he should focus on his legal troubles and try to formulate a defense. Because as it stands now, he’s headed for an avalanche of convictions. And he can leave the car industry to the Democrats, who recently saved it from near extinction, despite Republican obstruction and opposition. And when he’s done that, he might want to try and get some sleep, because these late night tantrums can’t be good for his already feeble cognitive state.
