Trump Celebrates Poll Showing Half of Republicans Unsure or Don’t Want Him to Run in 2024

One of the surest signs of political desperation is when a losing candidate feels compelled to promote news that actually reaffirms their status as a loser. And as America’s Biggest Loser, that’s a position that Donald Trump can reliably be counted on to assume regardless of how it fits in with reality.

Donald Trump

On Saturday morning Trump posted a message on Twitter (via his Twitter ban defying spokes-shill) that sought to attack his arch enemy, Joe Biden, who crushed him in the presidential election last November. Trump still hasn’t recovered from that humiliating defeat by a candidate that he maligned as a senile socialist. Ever since, Trump has been lashing out impotently in a futile attempt to shore up his wounded ego.

The tweet contained a link to a rabidly partisan website and the headline: “New poll: 44% of Democrats, Democratic-leaning independents don’t want Biden in 2024” The poll was done by the Marist Institute for NPR and PBS. And while it did find that 44% of Democrats said that they would prefer another presidential candidate in 2024, Trump left out some other relevant findings in the poll. Such as the fact that half of Republicans aren’t exactly anxious to see another Trump candidacy. The poll found that 35% don’t want him to run, and another 14% aren’t sure.

And that’s the poll that Trump thought it would be a good idea to pass on to his cult followers? Clearly he doesn’t have any actual good news to present. Especially this week that saw exceedingly positive job growth, and the passage of an infrastructure bill that he had promised (and failed) to pass for four years. Biden and Pelosi did it in ten months.

This new poll confirms prior surveys on the viability of Trump as 2024 presidential candidate. According to a survey by Pew Research last month, 54% of Republicans don’t want Trump to run in 2024:

“About one-in-five Republicans (22%) say that while they would like Trump to continue to be a major political figure in the United States, they would prefer he use his stature to support another presidential candidate who shares his views in the 2024 election rather than run for office himself. About a third of Republicans (32%) say they would not like Trump to remain a national political figure for many years to come.”

The truth is that Trump is at his dimwits end and is resorting to sh*t-posting whatever he can scrape from the barrel bottom to disparage Biden and Democrats. Along with this poll tweet, his spokes-shill also tweeted that “Marxists try to take Federal Reserve as Biden weighs whether to reappoint Powell: Devine,” and that “Trump Rips McAuliffe During Tele-Rally for Youngkin,” and that “China wants more than to beat us in trade—they want to take our place in the world.” At this point it won’t be long before he tweets that Biden is a poopyhead and threatens to hold his breath until we make him president again.

Newsmax and OAN Added to Smartmatic’s Billion Dollar Lawsuit for Pushing Trump’s ‘Big Lie’

The fallout from Donald Trump’s relentless crusade to spin his humiliating loss to Joe Biden as a “rigged” election continues to deliver consequences to those aiding and abetting its dissemination. It has already resulted in a multibillion dollar defamation lawsuit by Dominion Voting Systems against Fox News, Trump attorneys Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell, as well as Mike Lindell, the infamous MyPillow Guy.

Donald Trump, Fox News, Fake

Dominion’s lawsuit wasn’t the only one seeking to hold Trump’s “Big Lie” spreaders accountable for their reckless slander. Earlier this year Smartmatic, a voting software company, filed a similar lawsuit against Fox News, along with their accomplices Lou Dobbs, Maria Bartiromo, and Jeanine Pirro. Their filing is a thrilling must read that outlines the depravity Fox & Company. And now Smartmatic has invited more guests to their legal party. CNN is reporting that Smartmatic “is now adding Newsmax and One America News Network to the list of defendants.” Their filing charges that…

“Despite claims to provide viewers with honest, unbiased reporting, these outlets victimized Smartmatic by spreading false information about the company following last year’s election, all in their efforts to increase viewership and revenue.” [and that…]

“The lawsuit charged that Newsmax ‘published dozens of reports indicating that Smartmatic participated in a criminal conspiracy to rig and steal the 2020 U.S. election and that its technology and software were used to switch votes from former President Trump to now President Biden.'” [and that…]

“The first time it happened could be a mistake. The second, third, fourth and fiftieth times it happened were intentional choices,” the lawyers wrote. “OANN had every opportunity to do the right thing after the 2020 election for President and Vice President of the United States. It could have reported the truth. Instead, OANN chose to do the wrong thing every time. It reported a lie.”

There has been some blowback suffered by the “Big Lie” propagandists. Fox News has had to alter their programming to avoid further legal liability. And also here. Trump’s lead libelist, Rudy Giuliani, has been banned from Fox News. Nevertheless, Trump is still trying to bully Fox into reporting his election falsehoods. Meanwhile, Trump is slobbering all over OAN for sucking up to him:

“You guys are amazing,” he drooled. “So many people are watching what you’re doing. The election fraud of 2020 is the single biggest thing they want to watch, and other networks don’t put it on because they’re afraid to put it on.”

However, even OAN has exhibited some nervousness about stepping out too far onto Trump’s limp limb. In February they ran a hysterical disclaimer prior to airing a crockumentary by Lindell that promised to provide “Absolute Proof” of voter fraud (It didn’t).

It will be interesting to see how they behave now that Smartmatic has named them in their lawsuit. But we can easily predict how Trump will behave. He has always been – and is now – incapable of rising above his infantile and hostile tendencies. So, unfortunately, it will be more of the same going forward. And hopefully the future will see Trump himself added to the list of defendants.

UPDATE 1/20/2022: MyPillow guy, Mike Lindell is now also being sued by Smartmatic for defamation.

UPDATE 4/17/2024: Smartmatic settled with OAN in a confidential agreement that ended the litigation.

Trump Plants the Kiss of Death on Youngkin’s Campaign: ‘We Get Along Very Well Together’

The upcoming election for the governor of Virginia is expected to be an extremely close race. Democrat Terry McAuliffe had been the favorite for most of the year. But the polls have tightened considerably in the weeks leading up to election day. And one of the most peculiar aspects of this race is the hands-off relationship between the Republican candidate, Glenn Youngkin, and Donald Trump.

Donald Trump

Trump, of course, endorsed Youngkin. But Youngkin has been reluctant to acknowledge that endorsement. He has even refused to participate in any joint campaign appearances with Trump. And for good reason. Trump is not a popular figure in Virginia. The association would likely harm Youngkin’s chances of winning. So despite having run on policies that mirror those of Trump’s, Youngkin has steadfastly distanced himself from the disgraced ex-president.

Unfortunately for Youngkin, Trump isn’t the least bit reluctant to shower his unwanted praise on Youngkin. In addition to his “complete and total” endorsement, Trump is holding a tele-rally for the candidate that Youngkin has announced he won’t attend. Undeterred, Trump posted a tweet (via his Twitter ban defying spokes-shill) that lauded Youngkin and the close affinity they have for one another. And, yes, that was Youngkin you heard groaning as he smacked his forehead. Trump wrote that…

“The Fake News media, together with some of the perverts doing ads ad nauseam on primarily Fox (Fox shouldn’t take those ads!), are trying to create an impression that Glenn Youngkin and I are at odds and don’t like each other. Importantly, this is not true, we get along very well together and strongly believe in many of the same policies. Especially when it comes to the important subject of education.”

Trump’s childish whining about “perverts doing ads” refers to a recent ad campaign by The Lincoln Project that highlighted the fact that Youngkin was snubbing Trump. He previously took Fox news to task for having the gall of running the “horrible” ad. In Trump’s warped mind Fox should be forbidden to accept any advertising that isn’t unflinchingly adoring of Trump.

Trump also complained that the media was trying to come between the two sweetheart pols. Actually, it is only Youngkin who is seeking to avoid his BFF. Trump is drawing ever closer with his declaration that their policies are “strongly” aligned. But Trump wasn’t through. He continued…

“The reason the Fake News and perverts are working over time is to try and convince people that we do not like each other, and therefore, my great and unprecedented Make America Great Again base will not show up to vote. Also, I am not a believer in the integrity of Virginia’s elections, lots of bad things went on, and are going on. The way you beat it is to flood the system and get out and vote.”

You have to admire how Trump is able to contradict himself in mid-paragraph. First he complains about the media trying to convince his cult followers not to vote. But then in the very next sentence he essentially tells them why they shouldn’t. This isn’t new with Trump. He frequently warns his devotees that elections are rigged, which implies that it won’t do any good to bother to vote. But then he thinks he’s covering for himself by telling them vote anyway, even in an allegedly rigged election. You can forgive them if they seem to be somewhat confused.

Trump concludes with his customary baseless and infantile insults, saying that “McAuliffe is a low-life politician who lies, cheats, and steals.” That’s textbook projection as it describes Trump to a tee.

Trump is walking a fine in this tweet. He wants to take the credit if Youngkin wins. But he wants to deflect the blame if he loses. With this tactic Trump can claim that a loss was the result of either the rigged election or Youngkin’s failure to fully embrace him. And Trump is obsessively concerned with his endorsement scorecard. He was just on Fox News lying about having lost only two races for candidates that he endorsed. The actual number of losses is 78, just in the last two election cycles. But then, what else would you expect from the most well documented pathological liar in history?

Trump Frantically Reminds Republicans Not to Vote if ‘SCAM’ Election Fraud ‘Is Not Fixed’

Two weeks ago Donald Trump released a bizarre and self-defeating statement regarding the likelihood of his obsession with non-existent voter fraud hampering voter turnout among disgruntled Republicans. He was right. When you relentlessly complain that elections are “rigged,” you are sending your supporters the message that it’s a waste of time to vote.

Donald Trump, Woman, Fear

“If we don’t solve the Presidential Election Fraud of 2020 (which we have thoroughly and conclusively documented),” Trump whined, “Republicans will not be voting in ‘22 or ‘24.” Let’s set aside the ludicrous assertion that Trump has “conclusively documented” any fraud at all. Had he done so he is behaving strangely by not having presented any of it after nearly a year. More to the point, Trump’s griping can’t help but depress GOP voter turnout. So naturally, he’s doing it again (via his Twitter ban defying spokes-shill):

“The statement that I made a few weeks ago saying that Republicans will not vote if the Election Fraud of 2020 is not fixed, was in no way meant to imply that I would tell them not to vote, but rather that they may not have the incentive to vote if the election process is not fully remedied, and quickly. It was the Crime of the Century. We are working on solving that problem every day—it will be done! People do not want to spend their time and money to have a SCAM like that happen again. Regardless of anything or anyone, we must get out the Republican and SANE VOTE!”

Notice that Trump starts off by trying to deny the obvious. While he says that he never “meant to imply that I would tell them not to vote,” that is precisely what he is implying. Why should any of his cult disciples bother to “spend their time and money” on a “SCAM” of his own invention? And the condition that he stipulates for incentivizing voters is for the fake election fraud to be “fixed” and/or “fully remedied.” However, it isn’t possible to fix a problem that doesn’t exist anywhere but in the diseased imaginations of Trump and his dimwitted devotees.

The question is why would Trump revisit this hokum now after making the rhetorical blunder two weeks ago? It undoubtedly has something to do with the upcoming election for governor in Virginia, where his flunky, Glenn Youngkin, is in a tight race with Democrat Terry McAuliffe. In an apparent attempt to emulate his mentor, Youngkin is already alleging election fraud five days before the election. As for Trump, he doesn’t want the candidate he endorsed to lose. and even more important, he doesn’t want to be blamed for the loss. So he’s making a transparent and futile play to undo the damage he did previously.

Unfortunately for Trump, he’s making the very same mistake. He is still warning Republicans that they have no chance of victory if “the Election Fraud of 2020 is not fixed.” And since what isn’t broken cannot be fixed, Trump is signaling that they might as well opt out. It’s a ploy he’s used before. Back in July Trump fear mongered that, due to mail-in voting “There will never be a Republican elected to high office again.”

Technically, Trump isn’t telling people not to vote. However, he is telling them that that it won’t do any good if his conditions aren’t met. But since his conditions require overturning the 2020 presidential election and reinstating Trump (which 60% of delusional Republicans believe should happen), those conditions will remain unmet. And it doesn’t help that he is urging them to get out the “SANE” vote, because that would disqualify the majority of Republican voters.

OH NOES! Trump Threatens that If Election Fraud Isn’t Solved ‘Republicans Will Not Be Voting”

Never let it be said that Donald Trump would ever miss an opportunity to say something profoundly stupid that he is certain is bursting with brilliance. He has been doing it for decades, although in the past five years that tendency has been rife with peril for millions of Americans.

Donald Trump, Woman, Fear

On Wednesday afternoon Trump finally said something that many people – especially Democrats – will be thrilled to hear. In defense of his obsession with his totally unfounded claims of election fraud, Trump had Liz Harrington, his Twitter ban defying spokes-shill, tweet that…

“If we don’t solve the Presidential Election Fraud of 2020 (which we have thoroughly and conclusively documented), Republicans will not be voting in ‘22 or ‘24. It is the single most important thing for Republicans to do.”

That’s fantastic news. Trump is effectively advising his dimwitted cult disciples to refrain from voting in future elections. The condition that he imposes is one that simply cannot be met. There is, after all, no way to “solve” what he is calling election fraud, when after the passage of nearly a year, multiple GOP-run audits, and more than sixty court cases, have never produced any evidence of such fraud.

Just because he says that it has been “thoroughly and conclusively documented” doesn’t mean that it has. If so, why hasn’t he produced any of this alleged documentation? Is he waiting for Mike Lindell, the MyPillow Guy, to send it to him?

Harrington was later apprised of how her Trump proxy tweet was been interpreted. So she stepped up to offer a clarification that only made things worse, tweeting that…

“President Trump did not say don’t vote. He pointed out the obvious consequence of not fixing fraud and holding those who broke laws accountable will be Republicans sitting out If we don’t fix our elections, many voters will think their vote won’t count.”

In other words, her clarification said exactly the same thing. If the nonexistent election fraud isn’t “fixed” the “obvious consequence” will be Republicans not voting because – why should they? That’s the same advice offered in the first tweet.

To be clear, Trump’s definition of “solving” his contrived election fraud crisis is to overturn the election and inaugurate himself as president-reject. He said so in another tweet wherein he tried to to hijack the “Big Lie” phrasing and amend it to the “Really Big Lie,” but redefine it as the actual election on November 3, 2020. He asserted that “If we had an honest media this Election would have been overturned many months ago.” Yeah, right!

It’s pretty safe to assume that the election will not be overturned. Therefore, the alleged fraud will not be “solved” according to Trump’s condition. And if that means that Republicans will sit out the next couple of elections, I guess the nation will just have to find a way to muddle through without the electoral contributions of ignoramuses who are blindly devoted to a lying, narcissist, with authoritarian aspirations. Somehow, I think we’ll find a way to carry on.

Trump Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham is ‘TERRIFIED’ He’ll Run in 2024 – She’s Not Alone

Donald Trump’s former press secretary, Stephanie Grisham, is currently promoting her new book, I’ll Take Your Questions Now: What I Saw at the Trump White House,” which comes out October 5, 2021. She was interviewed Monday on ABC’s Good Morning America by George Stephanopoulos, where she revealed some of her experiences as one of Trump’s longest serving aides.

Stephanie Grisham, Fox News

Excerpts from Grisham’s book have already disclosed, such as Trump’s unsavory fealty to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. Other reports included descriptions of his bizarre behavior toward his staff, particularly women. But the GMA interview broke new and troubling ground. In it Grisham told Stephanopoulos that “I am terrified of him running for president in 2024.” She’s not the only one. The interview also featured this disturbing exchange:

Stephanopoulos: You were enabling the culture [of casual dishonesty] weren’t you?
Grisham: Yes, I was. And I reflected on that, and I regret that. Especially now watching him and so many people push the false election narrative. I now want to, in whatever way I can, educate the public about the behavior in the White House. Because it does look like he’s gonna try to run in 2024. […]

Grisham: He’s on his revenge tour for people who dared to vote for impeachment. And I want to just warn people that once he takes office, if he were to win, he doesn’t have to worry about reelection anymore. He will be about revenge. He will probably have some pretty draconian policies that go on.

It’s a little late for Grisham to express her regrets when she spent five years enabling the lies and megalomania that led to Trump’s insurrection and attempted coup. She addressed her own failures in the interview and conceded that she was no hero and that she wasn’t looking for praise. She just wants to get the truth out now before Trump has a second chance to complete his authoritarian takeover.

Progressives don’t have to embrace Grisham to appreciate her belated confessional. As someone who has been a long-time, trusted insider in the Trump cult, she has a unique perspective that could reveal further unethical, and potentially illegal, activities. She should be among the first former Trumpsters deposed by prosecutors investigating his administration’s many crimes.

As for Trump, he appears to be spooked by Grisham’s disclosures. He has already lashed out at her with his predictable, infantile insults, saying that it was “obvious from the beginning” that she “didn’t have what it takes.” Which affirms his tendency to staff his White House with “all the best people” that he later deems to have been incompetent all along.

What’s more, Trump complained that her book was put out by a “radical left-leaning publisher.” That would be HarperCollins, which is owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp., the parent company of Fox News. They have also published books by such radical left wingers as Jared Kushner, Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Ben Shapiro, Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin, and Ted Cruz.

Trump’s customary reaction to criticism is to throw childish tantrums. He literally told Mike Pence that “I don’t want to be your friend anymore if you don’t” usurp power that you don’t have to overturn the election results in Congress. And Trump is going full scorched earth over the revelations in Grisham’s book. Which can only mean that it’s likely all true and that he’s scared witless. As he should be.

UPDATE: Grisham tells CNN that Fox News, OAN, etc., were like state-run TV for Trump and could “potentially cause a lot of damage.”

Trump’s Candidate for Arizona Governor Would Not Have Certified 2020 Election Results

The MAGA “movement” is continuing to excrete waste from certain reddish regions of the country. While it remains a minority in most of the nation, there are pockets of sewage that float to the surface here and there. And when they do, Donald Trump is there to flush it out to the rest of his cult followers.

Donald Trump, QAnon, Dictator

This week Trump endorsed Kari Lake as his anointed candidate for governor of Arizona. That’s the state that just completed a fake audit (fraudit) performed by the rabidly partisan “Cyber Ninjas” that ultimately still found that Joe Biden is the legitimate president and was was fairly elected.

Lake is the perfect Trump surrogate. She is a TV celebrity with no political experience who embraces conspiracy theories, advocates for building a wall on the Southern border, peddles quack COVID cures, and most importantly, adores Trump almost almost as much as he does.

Lake’s job prior to jumping into the race was as a news reader on the Fox owned-and-operated television affiliate in Phoenix, Arizona. Trump viewed that as a plus in his endorsement tweet, posted by his spokes-shill, Liz Harrington, whose proxy Trump tweeting is a violation Twitter’s rules against circumventing a ban. Trump gushed that…

“@KariLake is running for Governor in the Great State of Arizona. She is a fantastic person who spent many years working as a highly respected television anchor and journalist. Because of this, few can take on the Fake News Media like Kari. She is strong on Crime, will protect our Border, Second Amendment, Military, and Vets.”

Continuing to tick off the tedious talking points that have become Trump/GOP/Fox News gospel, he said that Lake “is against COVID lockdowns, Cancel Culture, and will end ‘woke’ curriculum in our schools.” But most cringeworthy was Trump’s assertion that Lake “will fight to restore Election Integrity (both past and future!).” How he expects Lake to restore any of his warped versions of reality from the past remains a mystery. The election is over and cannot be rerun, decertified, or otherwise altered. However, that didn’t stop Lake from going on the fringe, right-wing One America “News” Network (OAN) to participate in this softball exchange with OAN’s Senior Propaganda Pusher, Natalie Harp:

Harp: Have you thought through how you would have handled November differently? We all remember the scene where [current GOP governor] Doug Ducey is sitting there. The phone rings. It’s president Trump. He doesn’t answer. And he signs results that we now know – he certified it under penalty of perjury – weren’t accurate. How would you have handled that differently?
Lake: Well, considering how much already at the time information we had about serious irregularities and problems with the election, I would not have certified it right then. I mean, we actually had Rudy Giuliani in town at that very moment going through pieces of evidence, affidavits, that were presented through people of, that had witnessed things that were wrong or that didn’t add up.

Harp’s leading question injects the mandatory Trumpian bullpucky about the election results not being accurate, despite the fact that their own handpicked Ninjas validated it. And Lake’s reply could not have been more wingnuttery. She actually had the nerve to cite Rudy Giuliani as a source. For the record, Giuliani’s lies and disinformation have resulted in the suspension of his license to practice law and even got him banned from Fox News.

Lake also went on Steve Bannon’s podcast and baselessly accused her Democratic gubernatorial opponent, the current Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, of criminal acts and implied that she would prosecute Hobbs, saying that “I think Katie Hobbs will have a really tough time campaigning from behind bars.”

Lake is an unabashed, fully indoctrinated Trump-fluffer. Her cult-like devotion to Trump is emblematic of the broader threat that Trump and his worshipers represent to the nation. They are implementing a coordinated, nationwide crusade to undermine democracy in every state. And they must be stopped. To that end, feel free to support the campaign of Democrat Katie Hobbs for governor of Arizona. And be on the lookout for other Trumpian agents running for office. The future of American democracy depends on it.

In Delusional Podcast Rant, Trump Still Thinks He’s Going To Be Returned To His Throne

By now, anyone who has been paying attention knows that Donald Trump is suffering from psychotic delusions about having won the 2020 presidential election that he lost by more than seven million votes. Either that or his pathological lying just keeps descending to new lows. Every recount, audit, and court case, over the past ten months has affirmed that Trump was decisively defeated by now President Joe Biden.

Donald Trump, King

These unimpeachable facts notwithstanding, the twice impeached mental case of Mar-a-Lago continues to peddle his “Big Lie” that the election was “rigged” and “stolen” from him. It’s a persistent pattern of victimhood that Trump uses to fleece his pathetic cult followers.

For the record, the latest example of Trump’s psychosis was evident in a podcast “interview” he conducted with ultra-rightist wannabe pundit David Harris Jr. Trump deployed the usual contrived clichés that litter his third grade level rhetorical vocabulary. “The Election was rigged,” he whined. It was “incorrectly reported by the fake news,” and “Our country is going to hell.” You know the drill. He elaborated saying that…

“They found thousands and thousands, much more than you’d need. Thousands and thousands of votes that were just false, or disgusting, or phantom, or anything you wanna call it. Far more than would be needed to overturn. […] I don’t need many of them [states]. I need two, two or three depending on size.”

Needless to say, actual evidence proves that none of that is true. There were not “thousands and thousands” of “false, or disgusting, or phantom” votes. In fact, the Arizona fraudit conducted by the conspiracy crackpots known as the Cyber Ninjas actually found more votes for Biden and fewer for Trump.

However, what’s most disturbing about Trump’s rant is that he still seems to believe that the election can be “overturned.” All he needs are a couple of states to decertify. Of course there is no legal path to the fantasy world that Trump inhabits. He is rambling incoherently again. And sadly, his dimwitted disciples will eat it up. It would be downright depressing if it weren’t so hysterical. Or would it be downright hysterical if it weren’t so depressing? At this point it’s getting hard to tell.

Former Fox News Editor Tells CNN He Has ‘Only Disdain’ for Spreaders of Trump’s ‘Big Lie’

Chris Stirewalt was the Digital Politics Editor for Fox News and a ten year veteran on the network. That all ended following his leading role on the 2020 presidential election forecast team that called the state of Arizona for Joe Biden. Stirewalt was unceremoniously dismissed shortly thereafter.

Donald Trump, Snake Tongue

It may have just been a matter of time before Stirewalt was cut loose anyway, considering some of his commentaries that were less than worshipful of Donald Trump. For instance there was the time he colorfully predicted the scene prior to one of Trump’s diplomatic trips saying that “He is going to fly into Brussels like a seagull. He is going to defecate all over everything, squawk and fly away.”

On Sunday Stirewalt was interviewed by CNN’s Jim Acosta. The subject was Trump’s still lingering obsession with having lost the the election last November. Acosta asked Stirewalt if he felt vindicated now that even the rabidly partisan Cyber Nimrods … er Cyber Cyber Ninjas concluded that Biden was the legitimate winner. Stirewalt replied that…

“I take no satisfaction or pleasure from seeing this outcome that roughly corresponds with the real results. They’re doing their damage anyway.”

Stirewalt went on to say that…

“I have sincere sympathy for people who were duped. There are people who really believe this stuff. I don’t know what Donald Trump actually believes. I think he knows he lost. Whatever. […]. But I have only disdain for the people who continue to promulgate this.” […]

“As the results in Arizona made clear, it doesn’t matter what you find. He will claim fraud anyway. He will still say that there was fraud even if the finding says there wasn’t. The point is to undermine voter confidence in the process.”

These are remarks that Strirewalt could never have gotten away with on Fox News, where unflinching fealty Trump and his “Big Lie” that the election was “rigged” and “stolen” from him are still mandatory opinions imposed by the network brass. So it may be fortuitous that Stirewalt was canned.

As for Acosta, he has been particularly cutting lately. He recently labeled Tucker Carlson a human manure spreader.” And there’s much more where that came from. In the same program with the Stirewalt segment, Acosta righteously ripped Trump as a big crybaby “Who can’t get over losing.”

That’s a trait in Trump that News Corpse has observed for years. Contrary to his delusional self image as a macho man, Trump is actually the Most Cowardly, Whining, Crybaby to Ever Be President! And in closing, here are just a few examples that have been documented.

Trump’s Cult Followers Eagerly Lap Up His ‘Big Lie’ After the Arizona Election Fraudit Fizzles

There is no question that Donald Trump was, and is, an imminent danger to the wellbeing of the United States. He has demonstrated that by repeatedly advancing his own perverse personal interests and a tyrannical craving for power and adulation. The results have been devastating for the nation as his maniacal hostility and pathological lies tore the country apart, leading to the January 6th insurrection and continuing incitation to violence.

Donald Trump Messiah

The legacy of Trump will include his fatally flawed stewardship of a collapsing economy that saw record numbers of jobs lost and businesses failing. He presided over diplomatic relations that embraced enemies and alienated allies. He created unprecedented political division, animosity, and bigotry. And his mismanagement of the COVID pandemic has resulted in nearly 700,000 Americans dying due directly to his negligence, incompetence, and deliberate malfeasance.

That said, Trump is not the biggest threat that America faces. From the start his demagoguery was the impetus for a cult following that rejected constitutional principles in favor of messiah worship. His dimwitted and easily conned disciples have always been more dangerous than he was himself. And his abhorrent remarks at his latest Cult Rally and Coronavirus Super-Spreader in Georgia illustrate just how treacherous Trump’s authoritarian aspirations are.

In another of his tediously long tirades, Trump lashed out at all of his usual enemies, including the press, insufficiently obsequious Republicans, and pretty much every Democrat. Although he did give a back-handed endorsement of Stacy Abrams for Georgia governor while he was attacking the current GOP governor, “RINO” Brian Kemp, for not “decertifying” the election, which, under the law, he can’t do.

However, Trump was mostly fixated on the election review in Arizona by the Cyber Nimrods – sorry, Cyber Ninjas – that was just completed and found that President Biden beat Trump by an even larger margin. He rambled on about alleged improprieties had no resemblance to reality. In Trump’s world, though, there was a completely different perspective:

“Yesterday we got the results of the Arizona audit which were so disgracefully reported by those people right back there. And the headlines claiming that Biden won are fake news and a very big lie. You know they like to…you ever notice when they write about that they always say ‘While the election results are a big lie…?’ Every reporter. It’s like total misinformation. ‘While they’re totally unfounded.’ Everything’s unfounded, big lie, not correct. ‘While Trump has no reason to say this…’ I mean we’ve got piles and piles of information, affidavits by the thousands and thousands. It’s a disgrace. We won on the Arizona forensic audit yesterday at a level that you wouldn’t believe.

Trump starts off by simply stating, without any basis, that “the headlines claiming that Biden won are fake news.” In fact, the Nimrods themselves provided that finding in their report. It was not invented by the media. Even Fox News reported it as a confirmation of Biden’s victory. And if “every reporter” is saying that Trump’s twisted tales of election fraud are an “unfounded, big lie, [and] not correct.” it’s safer to assume that they are right than to believe a notoriously pathological liar like Trump.

Finally, if Trump actually has “piles and piles of information” validating his allegations, you have to wonder why he, or his crack legal team, hasn’t produced any of it in more than nine months and 60 court cases. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that his lawyers are themselves in legal peril. Rudy Giuliani’s license to practice law has been suspended in New York and Washington, D.C. And Trump’s other attorneys were recently sanctioned in court.

What makes this all the more troubling is that when Trump delivered the remarks above, his audience of confirmed zealots applauded enthusiastically. They couldn’t care less whether what he says is true or not. And neither does he. In fact, Trump will always support these preposterous fraudits because no matter what the results are, he’ll just claim that he won. Just like he’s doing with the 2020 election.

Trump’s cult crusaders will believe whatever he tells them to believe. The the first law of the cult is that the leader is the only one who will ever tell you the truth. Everyone else is lying to you. It’s a closed circuit of blind faith that puts the future of the nation – and democracy – at great risk. It’s how totalitarian regimes force their way into power. And with the mindless obedience of Trump’s fervent fanatics, this is the closes that America has ever come to that catastrophic possibility.
