Scaredy Trump Lashes Out Maniacally at the One Woman on Fox News Who Dares to Defy His MAGA-STY

He will forever be remembered for his pathological lying, his cloying narcissism, his craven cruelty toward the downtrodden, his thirst for vengeance, his rancid racism, his demand for unfettered loyalty, and his autocratic quest for absolute power.

Snowflake Trump was triggered again this weekend when he was watching his Ministry of Propaganda – aka Fox News – and was struck by the commentary of Jessica Tarlov, one of the co-hosts of Fox’s “The Five.” Tarlov is the sole liberal on a program featuring four Trump-fluffing conservatives who constantly interrupt and insult her. Yet somehow she soldiers on with honest, well researched rebuttals to their barrage of bullshit.

Which is what must have set Trump off when he posted a long, rambling, and incoherent harangue on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth social, maligning Tarlov. He began by grousing that…

“Why does Fox News allow failed TV personality Jessica Tarlov to ‘soil’ The Five? Her voice, her manner, and above all else, what she says, are a disgrace to television broadcasting.”

Poor crybaby Trump can’t handle Fox News permitting just one person on the program who doesn’t worship him. Especially if it’s a woman. He doesn’t go off like this on Harold Ford Jr, who swaps the liberal seat on the program with Tarlov. So he unleashes his typically infantile invectives about Tarlov’s voice and manner, but never approaches any rebuttal to what she actually said. That’s only because A) Tarlov’s arguments are too well-rooted in facts, and B) Trump is too stupid to form a coherent rebuttal.

For the record, Tarlov is not a “failed TV personality.” Unless Trump thinks that having an eight year long career on his favorite network is failing. What’s more, she’s a graduate of Bryn Mawr College and has a doctorate in political science and government from the London School of Economics. Which explains why Trump can’t keep up with her or respond substantively to what she says. So instead, makes up things to brag about…

“I’ve had the best poll numbers that I’ve ever had, and she is constantly saying the exact opposite. The just out highly respected Rasmussen Poll is at 56%, Insider Advantage 54%, and many others are at 56% to 68%! “Sadly, the audience has to listen to her spew off that I am doing poorly in the polls, while I am beating the democrats by 15%+ points and, more importantly, I just won an election against two candidates, Sleepy Joe and Kamala, in a Landslide””

Everyone in the polling business knows that Rasmussen and Insider Advantage are two of the most disreputable pollsters who reliably produce garbage that is brazenly pro-Trump. And Trump’s repetitious refrain that he won the 2024 election in a “landslide” is evidence of his acute mental infirmity. It was one of the narrowest victories in modern history. Every other pollster has Trump in the low 40s or high 30s, including the Fox News poll.

Why is Trump FREAKING OUT now?According to a new Fox News poll, Trump is underwater on everything but the border. And his approval on immigration is almost universally negative.

But Trump wasn’t finished. He took a few more wild swings at Tarlov that were equally devoid of any substance….

“Nobody can stand Tarlov! She lies over and over again, and MAGA is complaining, BIG LEAGUE, that she’s all over Fox. […] People like Jessica Tarlov make MAGA absolutely hate Fox!”

Despite Trump’s assertion that Tarlov “lies over and over again,” he couldn’t provide a single example. However, he’s probably on sturdier ground when he says that “MAGA is complaining” about Tarlov. That’s how most cult members behave when they are confronted by a reality that they can’t comprehend. And if Trump hates Fox News (which he says often that he does), then so do they. It’s a closed loop belief system that promotes loopy beliefs.

On Fox News Jessica Tarlov Summarizes the Success of Bidenomics that the Media Refuses to Cover

The record of the first three years of President Biden’s administration has been remarkably productive. Even with tight margins in the Congress, Biden was able to get legislation through that boosted the economy, expanded healthcare, mitigated climate change, created jobs, and much more. All while reducing the deficit.

By contrast, Republicans focused squarely on matters of such profound importance as personal political vendettas, fighting among themselves, and running defense for Dear Leader Donald Trump. They held countless hearings on whether to impeach Biden for crimes they couldn’t name or provide any evidence for. In their spare time they threatened to throw the nation into economic turmoil by failing to raise the debt ceiling or pass the appropriations bills necessary for the government to function.

Despite the successes of Biden and the Democrats, they are not getting the credit they deserve for their efforts. That’s largely due to the failure of the media to report accurately about the abundant good news. They seem determined to distort reality in favor the Republicans, either because of their inherent conservative biases, or their belief that close races and conflict – even if it’s manufactured – make for better ratings.

This week, however, a bit of truth slipped through the filters in the most unlikely of places, Fox News. Jessica Tarlov, the designated liberal who alone faces four snarling conservatives on Fox’s “The Five,” was given a brief opportunity to present the case for the Democrats. And even though it was introduced with a snide dismissal by wingnut Tom Shillue, sitting in for the execrable Greg Gutfeld, it was the sort of factual summation that every news network should be reporting…

Shillue: Where do we go from here? Twenty seconds to defend the indefensible.
Tarlov: We go right back to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue because we do have good economic news, but the media doesn’t want to cover it. He is correct. He shouldn’t just say you’re looking at the wrong thing. They need to communicate this better.

But we got revised third quarter GDP growth up to 4.9 percent. Unheard of. Consumer confidence went up 14 percent. Largest jump in a decade. Inflation is running at an annualized rate below Powell’s target, which is why he’s talking about a rate cut. Personal income is up. Grocery and energy prices down last month.

In the Quinnipiac poll – this part of it is really important – they did a forward-looking question, what do you think 2024 is going to be like? 48 percent said the economy is going to be better, and 62 percent think that they are going to be better off in the next year. When is the election? November 2024. Democrats, make your case. There is a case to be made.

The initial subject of the segment was Fox’s complaint that Biden made a polite request that the media report honestly about the economy. Fox’s on-screen graphics exposed their biases reading “Biden Scolds Media Over Economy” and “Biden Snaps at Media.” In reality, he good naturedly encouraged them to “Take a look” at the economy and to “Start reporting it the right way.”

Perhaps they could use as a model the way they reported economic issues during the Trump years. Here’s an example from 2017 when Trump was bragging about his abysmal record and received zero pushback from the press…

With the economy performing far better today than when Trump occupied the White House, the media continues to downplay the positive stories that the public needs to make their electoral decisions next year. Consequently, Biden is having trouble getting his approval ratings up. But this election is important for reasons that exceed the economy.

Today the nation is literally facing a choice between preserving our democracy or succumbing to the authoritarianism openly promised by Trump and the Republicans. So any aid and comfort that the media gives to Trump et al, makes them complicit with their march toward dictatorship. That’s an editorial path that the press really needs to reconsider.

Fox News Liberal Calls Out Republicans – and her Co-Hosts – On Air for Their ‘Craven Lies’

Earlier this year Fox News was forced to settle a nearly billion dollar defamation lawsuit by Dominion Voting Systems that documented just how flagrantly the network deceived their viewers with propaganda and pandering toward Dear Leader Donald Trump. The evidence revealed that their hosts and executives shamelessly lied about Trump and his baseless allegations that the 2020 election was “rigged and stolen” from him.

Fox News, Bullshit Factory

Despite that costly and humiliating public rebuke, Fox News continues to lie on Trump’s behalf. They have not only failed to show any remorse or repentance for their dishonesty and betrayal of trust, they have actually doubled down by fortifying their primetime schedule with hardcore Trump-fluffers.

In addition to their new and rescheduled lineup cheerleading for Trump (even while he’s bitterly attacking them), Fox’s continuing shows remain staunchly under Trump’s banner. On the afternoon panel show “The Five” – which features four hard-right conservatives and one frequently interrupted liberal – the propaganda fest is in full swing with many of the same hosts and guests that were exposed in the Dominion lawsuit as liars.

However, occasionally the battered liberal, Jessica Tarlov, manages to squeeze out some truthful commentaries in the midst of the anti-Democratic mudslinging. That’s what occurred Tuesday when the panel discussed President Biden’s visit to the fire-ravaged island of Maui. As usual, the four right-wingers gleefully slandered Biden with false GOP talking points, until Tarlov responded saying that…

Tarlov: There have been so many craven lies told about the timeline of the response on this. Jesse just said his first comments were, “no comment,” which is categorically untrue. So that was on August 13th. The wildfires started on August 8th, on August 10th that’s when a major disaster declaration occurred. He got the call, the request from Hawaii to do that. It took him just 63 minutes to sign that.
Watters: He signed a piece of paper, I’m talking about significant public comments.
Tarlov: Just wait for it. Later that day, he was in Utah talking about something else. And he opened up by commenting on what was going on in Hawaii and how devastating it was. Listen to what the governor of Hawaii, Josh Green, said, “Within six hours, the administration met our needs with federal movement. I don’t think that’s ever happened before.” The Maui County mayor: “I wanted to say how our response to the president has been he called me, I asked for the help that we needed. And within two hours, one of his cabinet members called me to answer my question. We’ve been getting all the help that we need.”

Tarlov didn’t mince words as she attacked her co-hosts for telling “craven lies” and presenting information that was “categorically untrue.” Watters interrupted again, to try to throw Tarlov off balance, but that didn’t work. She just schooled him on the facts about what happened with quotes from the local officials who were pleased and grateful for Biden’s rapid, effective, and compassionate response to the crisis.

Tarlov also shot down Republican whining about Biben giving victims “only” $700.00 by noting that that is the FEMA limit. Tarlov’s Fox News colleagues either don’t know that, or are lying, or think that Biden should break the law and give them more (scratch that last one. Republicans would never advocate giving people who are suffering more of anything but grief).

Meanwhile, throughout the segment Fox’s chyron read “BIDEN’S DISASTER TOUR,” implying that the disaster was Biden’s fault or that his visit was a disaster. Neither of which was true. But the truth never stopped Fox News or the Republican Party they’re partnered with from spinning preposterous departures from reality in order to malign Biden and the Democrats. They spent much of Tuesday lying that Biden fell asleep at a service in Maui, and being outraged that he pet a rescue dog. That’s the depths to which Fox News has sunk. And they haven’t hit rock bottom yet.
