REALLY? Tucker Carlson Accuses Kevin McCarthy of Being ‘a Puppet of the Democratic Party’

Kevin McCarthy appears to be determined to undermine his chances of ever becoming Speaker of the House. This week it was reported that he had conversations with fellow Republicans after the January 6th insurrection wherein he revealed that he had considered urging Donald Trump to resign. It was reported that he told Rep. Liz Cheney that “I’ve had it with this guy. What he did is unacceptable. Nobody can defend that, and nobody should defend it.”

Fox News, Tucker Carlson

When asked about these reports by the press, McCarthy flatly insisted that no such conversations ever took place. Then, of course, the recordings of him saying precisely what was reported were released.

RELATED: Fox News Ignores Bombshell Recordings of McCarthy Urging Trump to Resign and Lying About It

After McCarthy was caught in this bald-faced lie he struggled to salvage what remained of his reputation, which wasn’t particularly good to be begin with. He managed to get Trump’s seal of approval largely on the strength of his rock-solid sucking up. However, that was before a second batch of recordings was released.

In the new recordings McCarthy is heard lambasting his insurrection supporting GOP colleagues, including Matt Gaetz, Mo Brooks, Lauren Boebert, Louie Gohmert, and Barry Moore. He correctly noted that Gaetz was “putting people in jeopardy,” and acknowledged that Trump’s insurrectionists “came prepared with rope, with everything else.”

Even worse for McCarthy, he is now having some trouble with the Republican Ministry Propaganda, Fox News. On Tuesday night Tucker Carlson chastised McCarthy savagely for his political heresy (video below). Carlson ranted that…

“Kevin McCarthy of California told his close friend Liz Cheney that he hoped the social media companies would censor more conservative Republicans in Congress. Donald Trump, the sitting president, had already been silenced by those companies, but McCarthy wanted wanted the tech oligarchs to do more to force disobedient lawmakers off the Internet. Quote, ‘Can’t they take their Twitter accounts away too?'”

McCarthy’s question about taking away Twitter accounts was triggered by the report of Alabama Rep. Barry Moore tweeting a racist comment about the police shooting of violent insurrectionist Ashli Babbitt as she tried to storm the Capitol. Moore portrayed that as “a black police officer that shot the white female veteran.” But this wasn’t about punishing “disobedient lawmakers.” It was about McCarthy’s justifiable concern that these sort of extremist tirades by the most radical members of his caucus could damage the GOP’s electoral prospects come November and, hence, his speakership aspirations.

Furthermore, it’s rather comical to hear Carlson whine about “tech oligarchs” after Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, which Carlson celebrated with unbridled glee. Do you think he knows what “oligarch” means? Perhaps he could ask his boss, Rupert Murdoch.

RELATED: Trump Declares that ‘I Am Not Going Back On Twitter’ After the Elon Musk Takeover

But Carlson hadn’t finished his harangue. He went on to make some truly delusional characterizations of the rabidly conservative and staunchly Republican McCarthy as a flaming liberal who is aligned with the Democratic Party. Carlson fumed that…

“Those are the tape recorded words of congressman Kevin McCarthy. A man who in private, turns out, sounds like an MSNBC contributor. And yet, unless conservatives get their act together right away, Kevin McCarthy, or one of his highly liberal allies like Elise Stefanik, is very likely to be speaker of the House in January. That would mean we will have a Republican congress led by a puppet of the Democratic Party.”

WTF? If Carlson thinks that McCarthy and Stefanik are “highly liberal” his family should seriously consider having him committed. It would be interesting to hear what Carlson thinks are examples of McCarthy being a Democratic puppet, considering that he has opposed everything that Democrats have proposed with knee-jerk consistency. And Carlson’s assertion that Liz Cheney is a close friend of McCarthy ignores the fact that he supported her removal from the GOP leadership and replacement by the shameless Trump-fluffer, Stefanik.

This conflict between Carlson and McCarthy is representative of the disarray that is roiling the Republican Party. Members are torn between their worshipful sycophancy to Trump and their long-standing commitment to repugnant right-wing politics. So it’s a lose-lose. If they keep this up – and if Democrats cleverly encourage it – it will not bode for well for their midterm dreams of majorities in Congress. Maybe it’s Carlson who is helping the Democrats.

Texts Show Sean Hannity Was Taking Orders From Trump Team to Steal the Election

For the past sixteen months Donald Trump has been viscerally obsessed with having decisively lost the presidency to Joe Biden. And his all-consuming humiliation has resulted in a relentless fit of rage as he desperately crusades to convince his cult followers that the election was “rigged” and “stolen” from him.

Donald Trump Sean Hannity

Throughout this prolonged temper tantrum, Trump has the unflinching support of his Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News. The “Big Lie” that the election was rigged is regurgitated every day by Fox’s devoted Trump-fluffers. Never mind that neither Fox News nor Trump has been able to provide a scintilla of evidence of fraud. To the contrary, they repeatedly put forth blatantly bogus examples of alleged proof that are easily refuted.

RELATED: Trump Posts ‘Foolproof’ Evidence that the Election Was ‘Rigged’ But it’s Only Proof for Fools

On Monday morning CNN published over 2,300 never before seen texts messages that they obtained from Trump’s former chief of staff, Mark Meadows. Among them were conversations between Meadows and Fox News hack, Sean Hannity. The substance of their discussions further documents the unsavory marriage of Fox and Trump as they endeavor to undermine democracy. CNN reports that…

“CNN has obtained 2,319 text messages that former President Donald Trump’s White House chief of staff Mark Meadows sent and received between Election Day 2020 and President Joe Biden’s January 20, 2021 inauguration.

The vast trove of texts offers the most revealing picture to date of how Trump’s inner circle, supporters and Republican lawmakers worked behind the scenes to try to overturn the election results and then reacted to the violence that effort unleashed at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.” […]

“The never-before-seen texts include messages from Trump’s family — daughter Ivanka Trump, son-in-law Jared Kushner and son Donald Trump Jr. — as well as White House and campaign officials, Cabinet members, Republican Party leaders, January 6 rally organizers, Rudy Giuliani, My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell, Sean Hannity and other Fox hosts. There are also text exchanges with more than 40 current and former Republican members of Congress, including Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas and Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio, Mo Brooks of Alabama and Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia.”

The texts exchanged between Hannity and Meadows are especially illuminating. They show that Hannity was both advising and taking orders from the Trump team. According to CNN…

“Among Meadows’ most frequent interactions were those with Fox’s Sean Hannity, a well-known friend of Trump. Throughout the logs, Hannity both gives advice and asks for direction.

“On the afternoon of Election Day, Hannity texted Meadows to ask about turnout in North Carolina.
Meadows responded: ‘Stress every vote matters. Get out and vote.’

“Yes sir,” Hannity replied. “On it. Any place in particular we need a push.”

“Pennsylvania. NC AZ,” Meadows wrote. “Nevada.”

“Got it. Everywhere,” Hannity said.”

“Yes sir!”? So Hannity was coordinating strategy with Trump’s chief of staff to steal the election from the American people. It’s bad enough when the host of a so-called “news” network openly advocates on behalf of a corrupt politician. It is another thing entirely to choreograph schemes with coup plotters. But that is precisely what Hannity is doing here. And it isn’t the first time. Hannity has appeared as a guest speaker at Trump rallies. And he has also appeared in campaign ads for Trump. [Note: These texts refer to Hannity coordinating “Get Out The Vote” efforts with Trump, but that is still wholly unethical, and he was still coordinating with coup plotters because the plot began before election day]

RELATED: Fox News Must Fire Sean Hannity for Refusing to Disclose His Relationship with Donald Trump

Among the other Meadows texts are messages from Marjorie Taylor Green urging Meadows to get Trump to declare “marshall” (sic) law. Ivanka Trump texting Meadows, Jared Kushner and others that “You are all WARRIORS of epic proportions! Keep the faith and the fight.” And Jim Jordan suggesting that Mike Pence should refuse to count electoral votes from states that Biden won. To which Meadows replied “I have pushed for this.”

RELATED: BUSTED! Donald Trump Jr Texted Mark Meadows With Illegal Schemes to Steal the Election

Surprisingly, Fox News actually aired a story on the Meadows text messages that CNN published. Not surprisingly, their story didn’t mention that any of those messages were to or from Sean Hannity. That’s a curious omission after deciding to report on the text messages at all.

However, it’s typical of the dishonesty and distortion that is so integral to how Fox News mangles journalism. When they aren’t lying about things that they cover, they deliberately refuse to cover things that aren’t aligned with their biases. Such as the news that Trump has been found in contempt of court by the Attorney General of state of New York.

WTF? Tucker Carlson Mocks Biden for Believing that He Won in 2020, Which, of Course, He Did

The descent into delusion is continuing at an increasingly rapid pace at Fox News. For the past sixteen months Fox has been obediently regurgitating Donald Trump’s “Big Lie” that the 2020 presidential election was “rigged.” Never mind that neither Trump nor Fox “News” has been able to produce a shred of evidence of their wild accusations. And they lost more than sixty court cases in their efforts to overturn the election and undermine democracy.

Fox News. Tucker Carlson

On Wednesday evening Tucker Carlson unleashed another inane tirade aimed at disparaging President Biden and his decisive victory over Trump nearly a year and a half ago. Carlson has a unique talent for promulgating lies while making himself look like a jackass. And he was in rare form on this episode of his primetime propaganda program.

Carlson was triggered by an article in The Hill wherein Biden was reported to have told former President Obama that he intends to run for reelection in 2024, and that he would beat Trump again. That could not possibly be less controversial. Biden has been telling that to anyone who asked the same question for months. But to Carlson this was chum in the wingnut waters. He raged that…

Carlson: Joe Biden believes he’s the only one who can beat Donald Trump. Which, if nothing else, suggests Joe Biden believes he beat Donald Trump the first time.
Carlson (badly impersonating Biden): Hey guys, I got 81 million votes. Maybe I’ll get 500 billion next time.
Carlson: So how did Barack Obama respond to that? Well The Hill newspaper didn’t say. We do know that earlier this month Obama referred to Joe Biden as ‘Vice-President.’ So you can guess.

Seriously? Carlson appears to be downright stunned that Biden “believes” he defeated Trump in 2020. Of course, the only reason that Biden believes that is because it is unambiguously and certifiably true. Other than that, there is also the fact that even Republican governors, election officials, and judges have affirmed Biden’s victory – repeatedly! And we’ll just ignore Carlson’s inability to get Obama’s VP joke.

However, that doesn’t stop Carlson from humiliating himself by clinging to the “Big Lie” and mocking Biden for his adherence to, you know, reality. Which is especially ironic considering that Carlson was defended in court by Fox News against defamation charges by arguing that “no reasonable person” could possibly take him seriously. After all, this is the same guy who has distinguished himself with such notable commentaries as…

Advocating testicle tanning to forestall “The End of Men”

And…

Why he is turned off by “less sexy,” “unappealing” cartoon M&Ms

And…

Pleading to keep the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in power

And…

Taking Russia’s side against Ukraine, America, and democracy

And…

Spreading the conspiracy theory that the January 6th insurrection was an FBI “false flag” operation

And…

Oh hell. That’s enough. This array of asshattery could go on forever. If Carlson wants to reside in a fantasy world where Trump didn’t lose the popular vote twice and never reached 50% approval, we should just let him.

Wannabe Kingmaker Donald Trump’s Latest Endorsement Reveals His Big Fat Flaming Ego

Since being evicted from the White House by the American people fourteen months ago, Donald Trump has desperately struggled (and failed) to maintain some sort of relevance. For the most part he’s done that by whining about having lost to Joe Biden, someone he characterized as a “mentally deficient socialist”; relentlessly lying about the election being rigged; and holding cult rallies populated by his glassy-eyed disciples.

Donald Trump

Another dull tool in Trump’s shed is his ability to hand out cheap endorsements for Republican candidates who adoringly kiss his … let’s say ring. He does this frequently because it costs him nothing. Meanwhile he won’t donate any of the millions of dollars he has collected from his gullible followers to help those candidates. The endorsements are all nearly identical pronouncements that the candidate loves guns, hates immigrants, and is devoted to his anti-American “America First” agenda.

This week Trump announced in a tweet (of course) that he is endorsing “Hillbilly Elegy” author, J.D. Vance, for the Senate in Ohio. And his statement outlining why he chose to back this particular candidate in a crowded Republican primary says more about Trump than Vance. As usual, to Trump everything is about Trump. For instance, Trump said that…

“Like some others, J.D. Vance may have said some not so great things about me in the past, but he gets it now, and I have seen that in spades.”

Trump is being gentle when saying that Vance said “some not so great things” about him. What Vance said was compiled nicely in an anti-Vance ad in 2021 by the conservative “Club for Growth.” The ad merely reported Vance’s own words about Trump. Such as…

“I’m a Never Trump guy. I never liked him […] As somebody who doesn’t like Trump, I might have to hold my nose and vote for Hillary Clinton […] I didn’t vote for Trump because I can’t stomach Trump. I think that he’s noxious […] Him being really outrageous and offensive.”

The ad goes on to display tweets that Vance has since deleted saying that Trump is “reprehensible,” and “an idiot.” And yet, Trump is now endorsing Vance. According to Trump, here’s why…

“This is not an easy endorsement for me to make because I like and respect some of the other candidates in the race — they’ve said great things about ‘Trump’ and, like me, they love Ohio and love our country.”

So Trump is affirming that the primary requirement for earning a Trump endorsement is that the candidates say “great things about ‘Trump’ and, like me.” That won’t surprise anyone with even the slightest familiarity with Trump and his malignant narcissism.

It is easy, however, to see why he might have had trouble settling on Vance. The field of GOP senate candidates in Ohio is a buzzing hive of Trump-fluffers, all vying for his notoriously short attention span. Among them…

  • Josh Mandel: Endorsed by Michael Flynn, Sen. Ted Cruz (TX), Sen. Mike Lee (UT), Rep. Madison Cawthorn (NC), Jenna Ellis (Trump Lawyer), Mark Levin (Fox News)
  • Jane Timken: Endorsed by Kristi Noem (governor of South Dakota), Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (WV), Sen Joni Ernst (IA), Sen. Deb Fischer (NE), Sen. Rob Portman (OH), Rep. Elise Stefanik (NY), Kellyanne Conway

Vance himself has already been endorsed by the QAnon brain trust: Sen. Josh Hawley (MO), Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA), Rep. Matt Gaetz (FL), Sebastian Gorka, Tucker Carlson (Fox News), and Donald Trump Jr. What’s more, Vance fulfills another Trump prerequisite by being a TV celebrity whose platform is wafer thin. That is, when it isn’t downright repulsive. Such as his recent declaration on Steve Bannon’s “War Room” where he said that “I gotta be honest with you, I don’t really care what happens to Ukraine one way or the other.”

Which makes this a good time to remind people that Vance, or whoever the GOP nominee is, has a Democratic opponent, Tim Ryan, who can use your help. Trump’s endorsement of Vance included a swipe at Ryan calling him a “defective candidate” who is somehow both “weak” and “dangerous.”

RNC Doubles Down on Cowardice, Cancels Debates to Shield Snowflake Trump From More Humiliation

It’s official! Most of the American people regard Donald Trump as a pitifully ignorant, barely coherent, megalomaniac whose mental deficiencies should preclude him from any consideration for high office. Or low office, for that matter. It was even affirmed in a Fox News poll. And now the Republican National Committee (RNC) has effectively concurred with that opinion. So that makes it unanimous. It is now universally agreed that Trump is an imbecile who requires protection from embarrassing himself and the groveling lickspittles in his cult/party.

Donald Trump, Snowflakes

By declaring that they will prohibit any GOP presidential candidate from participating in campaign debates sponsored by the non-partisan Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD), the RNC is admitting what everyone who has been paying attention already knows: That Trump cannot compete intellectually with his Democratic opponents. He demonstrates that deficiency on a daily basis. He can’t even avoid making an asinine fool of himself when interviewed by Fox News suck-ups.

RELATED: Dementia-Addled Trump Descends Into Gibberish When Hannity Asks What He Would Do About Inflation

As reported by Politico, the RNC is whining that the CPD is “biased and has refused to enact simple and commonsense reforms to help ensure fair debates.” However, the reforms insisted on by the RNC are blatant capitulations to conceal Trump’s notorious weaknesses.

The RNC first floated the notion that they would chicken out of debates in January. News Corpse addressed that acknowledgment of fear in an article that can be reprised here without changing a single word. Therefore…

Cowardly Republican Party to Require Their Presidential Candidates to Boycott 2024 Debates

With the 2024 presidential election still nearly three years away, the Republican Party is already showing signs that they are afraid of engaging in a free and open discourse with their Democratic opponent. Never mind that they have spent two years maligning President Biden as “sleepy” and mentally unfit, it is the GOP that appears to be concerned about their own candidate’s ability to face off in an open forum.

The fear exhibited by the Republican Party is well warranted considering that their leading candidate is Donald Trump. For the past year Trump has been obsessively fixated on his having suffered a humiliating loss to Biden in 2020. It’s the only thing he talks about, despite having failed for more than a year – and sixty court cases – to provide a shred of evidence of his claims that the election was “rigged.” It is what fueled his deadly January 6th insurrection. And he is still twisting reality to insist that the “real insurrection” was on Election Day, November 3rd, 2020.

Consequently, the Republican National Committee (RNC) has announced that they intend to prohibit their Party’s candidate in 2024 from participating in the presidential debates that have been hosted for three decades by the bipartisan Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD). The RNC sent a letter to the Commission stating that…

“[T]he RNC will initiate the process of amending the Rules of the Republican Party at our upcoming Winter Meeting to prohibit future Republican nominees from participating in CPD-sponsored debates.”

Make no mistake about it. This is not a quarrel over some rationally disputed format differences. The RNC’s “reforms” are all driven by complaints that crybaby Trump made in 2020 due to his cognitive inadequacies and inability to engage in a substantive dialogue. He proved that during the debates when he couldn’t refrain from interrupting and had to be told by Biden to “Shut up, man.”

The Republican National Committee is obviously scared, so they’re issuing ludicrous ultimatums if they don’t get their way. But the RNC’s proposals are intrusive and one-sided. They would impose on the neutrality of the Commission by impacting the composition of its members, dictating the dates of the debates, intervening in the selection of debate moderators, and enacting punishments for violations of the terms that that the RNC is insisting on.

Clearly the RNC is doing this on Trump’s behalf. No other candidate has objected to the CPD’s rules or fairness for thirty years. But the RNC is worried that without these reforms Trump would likely embarrass himself again, and he and the RNC know that. He has demonstrated that he cannot face any encounter that isn’t rigged to his advantage. It’s why he won’t submit to any interviews that aren’t conducted by his pals at Fox News or other similarly servile sycophants. He is mortally afraid of being challenged.

Trump recently canceled a phony “news” conference that he planned to hold on the anniversary of the January 6th insurrection. He also chickened out of his own challenge to debate any takers on his bogus claims about the 2020 election. And now he is directing his Republican Party apparatchiks to protect him from having to engage in an open and fair debate. It’s the coward’s way and, therefore, Trump’s way.

RELATED: OMG! Pathological Liar Trump Says He is ‘the Most Honest Human Being God Ever Created’

It’s not hard to imagine what sort of debate platform the RNC (aka Trump) would approve of. Probably something produced by One America News and moderated by bona fide Trump-fluffers like Steve Bannon, Sean Hannity, and his current spokes-shill, Liz Harrington. If the GOP carries out this threat, Democrats should buy network time and debate video clips of Trump’s past statements that feature his stupidity, his hatefulness, and his treasonous affinity for Vladimir Putin and other tyrants.

Trump Posts ‘Foolproof’ Evidence that the Election Was ‘Rigged’ But it’s Only Proof for Fools

Sixteen months after the 2020 presidential election Donald Trump is still whining petulantly about the election being “rigged” and “stolen” from him. In all of that time – including more than 60 court challenges – he has failed utterly to produce a shred of evidence. He has succeeding only in establishing himself as the biggest sore loser in American politics. Even his cult followers are bored with his schtick.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump

Trump’s persistence in this lost cause continued Tuesday with a post by his Twitter ban defying spokes-shill, Liz Harrington. The tweet made some emphatic declarations regarding his insistence that the election was rife with voter fraud. He said that…

“This is 100% conclusive and determinative evidence. When will the Republicans finally act. Not only was the 2020 Election Rigged, but they’ll do it again. Leadership, for once, must step up to the plate and hit the ball out of the park. This is your chance. The people, who are disgusted with your weakness and indifference, are waiting. Schumer and Pelosi would never stand for this if it were the other way around. This is ‘foolproof,’ on video tape for everyone to see. Do something!”

Not surprisingly, what Trump is describing as “100% conclusive and determinative evidence” is neither conclusive nor determinative. It isn’t even evidence. Trump is regurgitating the results of a thoroughly disreputable pack of prevaricators known deceitfully as “True the Vote.” These election truthers put together a video collage of what they claimed were people committing felony voter fraud by depositing multiple absentee ballots in drop boxes in Georgia.

The only problem with that accusation is that everything seen on the videos was perfectly legal. According to Georgia law

“…mailing or delivery [of absentee ballots] may be made by the elector’s mother, father, grandparent, aunt, uncle, brother, sister, spouse, son, daughter, niece, nephew, grandchild, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, or an individual residing in the household of such elector.”

Additional authorized persons include caretakers for the disabled and employees of hospitals and prisons for voters thus confined. Nothing in Trump’s so-called “evidence” indicated that anyone depositing the ballots was not legally permitted to do so. What’s more, there was no way of knowing who the votes were for on those ballots. So even if the persons depositing them in the drop boxes were unauthorized, they may have been Trump voters who were in violation of the law. Which, more often than not, is the case.

And that’s not all. When Trump promised a couple of weeks ago that this allegedly incriminating evidence would be released, he said that it would reveal “four or five million people cheating.” Obviously, it would be impossible for that many ballots to be stuffed into the drop boxes. And, once again, since we still wouldn’t know who the votes were for, there’s no way the election outcome could be altered.

Nevertheless, on the basis of this baloney, Trump is demanding that some ambiguous “Leadership” figure “step up to the plate” and take some unspecified action. There is, of course, no legal path to the remedies that Trump and his cronies have babbled about for the past year, such as decertifying the election and coronating himself as King of America. It’s just more of the seditious coup plotting that Don Trump Jr was recently caught engaging in.

So Trump’s latest sorry attempt at proving that the election was rigged has just turned out to be another pathetic sham orchestrated by some really bad con artists. Who would have thought that such a conclusion to a Trump project would end up this big a failure?

BUSTED! Donald Trump Jr Texted Mark Meadows With Illegal Schemes to Overturn the Election

The House Select Committee investigating the January 6th insurrection continues to accumulate incriminating evidence against Donald Trump and his criminal cabal. The latest disclosure is one that snares Donnie Jr, as well as several of the coup plotters who tried to steal the election and subvert the American democracy.

Donald Trump Jr

CNN is reporting that Don Jr sent text messages to his father’s White House Chief of Staff on November 5, 2020, two days after election day. The votes had not yet been counted in full and no network had called the election for Joe Biden.

RELATED: Trump Publicly Confesses to Coup Attempt in Tweet that Pence ‘Could Have Overturned the Election’

Nevertheless, the Trump gang – including such familiar names as lawyers Rudy Giuliani and John Eastman, and Fox News host Mark Levin – was already hard at work to deny voters the president of their choice. What follows are some excerpts from the CNN story:

“Two days after the 2020 presidential election, as votes were still being tallied, Donald Trump’s eldest son texted then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows that ‘we have operational control’ to ensure his father would get a second term, with Republican majorities in the US Senate and swing state legislatures, CNN has learned.

“In the text, which has not been previously reported, Donald Trump Jr. lays out ideas for keeping his father in power by subverting the Electoral College process, according to the message reviewed by CNN. The text is among records obtained by the House select committee investigating January 6, 2021.”

“The November 5 text message outlines a strategy that is nearly identical to what allies of the former President attempted to carry out in the months that followed. Trump Jr. makes specific reference to filing lawsuits and advocating recounts to prevent certain swing states from certifying their results, as well as having a handful of Republican state houses put forward slates of fake ‘Trump electors.'”

“If all that failed, according to the Trump Jr. text, GOP lawmakers in Congress could simply vote to reinstall Trump as President on January 6.

“We have operational control Total leverage,” the message reads. “Moral High Ground POTUS must start 2nd term now.”

“‘We either have a vote WE control and WE win OR it gets kicked to Congress 6 January 2021,’ he texts Meadows.”

The schemes put forth by Trump Jr way back on November 5, 2020, were all carried out – unsuccessfully – by Trump and his co-conspirators in the weeks and months that followed. His text provides more proof that the illegal attempts at staging a coup were contrived even before the votes were all tallied or the election results were officially determined.

RELATED: Trump Explains How He Plans to Steal the Next Election in Video Message to Republican Group

That, however, didn’t stop these wannabe authoritarian conspirators. And as the Committee continues to do its investigation, there will surely be further revelations about how desperate and dastardly these traitors were – and are.

In Jesus’ Name: Messiah Trump Promises Election Fraud ‘Truth’ is Coming Out – In Two Weeks?

The Cult of Trump is continuing its apocalyptic crusade across red America with yet another one of his traveling salvation shows. Following his humiliation in Georgia last month, where the paltry crowd was seen exiting while he was still in mid-rant, Trump ventured to Michigan to give it another go.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump Messiah

One of the reasons that Trump’s circus is drawing fewer fans is that he insists on replaying the same tedious bits at every fan-fest. His set list consists solely of shouting at the “fake news,” chanting “lock her up” whenever Hillary Clinton is mentioned, and his interminable whining that the 2020 election was “rigged” and “stolen” from him.

The “Big Lie” was once again featured on Saturday night. The evening’s fare was foreshadowed in the event’s opening prayer, delivered by a fully ordained minister of Trumpism who warmed up the audience with this appeal to the Lard:

“So we pray. Father in heaven, we firmly believe that Donald J. Trump is the current and true president of the United States. You have raised him up for this season of time to be used and be part in saving a nation. Bless and protect him and his family from any physical, spiritual attacks and may his voice stir the people to righteous action to bring godly men and women into elected office, in Michigan and across America.”

So now God is being recruited as a witness to Trump’s divine ascendency to the throne of America. You would think that a pastor would be reticent to lie so blatantly to God’s face by calling Trump the “current and true president” when he clearly is not. Contrary to God raising Trump up, he very plainly slammed him down, which is why he’s still holding these pathetic freak shows. But the minister of lies continued saying that…

“We declare he will be back in office soon. VERY soon. In Jesus’ name. Amen. We pray the fraud in the 2020 election will continue to be exposed and the election decertified in Michigan. The battleground state in our nation. In Jesus’ name.”

With that declaration the affair was off to a bizarre and sacrilegious start. The audience was now ready for the main abstraction. Donald Trump. And he didn’t disappoint – well – no more than usual. As expected, Trump addressed the “Big Lie” in a tirade that he pretended would be brief (video below):

“And just to cover it quickly, because I don’t want to take a lot of time, but it’s coming, out this ‘Truth to Vote,’ where they found all the thousands and thousands of ballot harvesters. You’ve seen that. ‘Truth to Vote.’ But when you see that – that’s coming out in two weeks – when you see those numbers, I think it’s four or five million people cheating. Those numbers are coming out.”

That should satisfy the deadenders that showed up for this spectacle. After all, everyone recalls how trump delivered on his promises to produce a healthcare plan in two weeks. Or his infrastructure program. Or his border wall. He is nothing if not consistent – consistently wrong. He’s had more than a year to produce evidence of election fraud and has utterly failed to do so. Not that any of his glassy-eyed disciples will notice or hold him accountable to his word.

By the way, when Trump referred to “Truth to Vote,” he was mangling the name of the wholly discreditable conspiracy crackpots at “True the Vote,” who have never produced anything remotely related to the truth. Undaunted, Trump continued saying that…

“Now the press hates like hell to cover it. Oh, they go crazy cause they have a lot of live television. I’m talking about this, they don’t know what to do. They’re saying ‘Should we turn off the cameras?’ Who cares? But right here, just quickly, in Michigan your corrupt state officials sent out 7.7 million unsolicited mail-in ballot applications to everyone on the rolls. Including people who are dead and those who no longer live in the state. Other than that it was wonderful.”

Trump frequently claims that the media covering his rallies are turning their cameras on and off depending on what he’s saying. That is, of course, delusional. Although it is true that most of the TV news networks (including Fox News) stopped carrying his rallies live long ago. They realized that there was nothing newsworthy about his vein-bursting rage-a-thons. They are just full of nonsense like “When you hear ‘mail-in ballot’ you can guarantee you have a corrupt election.”

Never mind that Trump himself votes by mail-in ballot. So do all of the voters of five states (Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, Utah, and Washington). So does most of our military deployed away from home. And even in his remarks Trump notes that the voters of Michigan received applications for mail-in ballots, not the ballots themselves. So there is no opportunity for voter fraud.

Not that any of that matters to Trump or his cult followers. For them it is all about stirring up anger and hatred and irrational fears. And by that measure, Trump is doing a pretty good job of terrorizing his ever shrinking flock.

Trump’s Irrelevance is Increasing, as are His Pitifully Delusional Attempts to Pretend it’s Not

Donald Trump has resumed his scheduling of the MAGA cult rallies that bring together America’s Most Gullible. He’s already held four of them this year. But the attendance and enthusiasm that he once enjoyed has visibly declined as his repetitive shtick gets tedious and unbearable, even for his glassy-eyed disciples.

Donald Trump Pacifier Fox

There are reports that the crowds at Trump’s ego-fluffing affairs are shrinking, with many of his fickle flock leaving while he’s still on stage raving about his alleged genius or ranting about being a poor, wretched victim. He posted four tweets (via his Twitter ban defying spokes-shill) whining that the “Fake News” was misreporting the “massive crowd” at his latest rally in Georgia. For example…

We had a massive crowd last night in Georgia, but as usual, the Fake News Media absolutely refuses to show it. People are estimating 25,000 to 35,000 people.”

And…

Massive crowd last night in Georgia even despite the cold weather, the enthusiasm was unbelievable. David Perdue, running against horrendous Governor Brian Kemp, who let the Election be Rigged and Stolen, is seeing a very big surge.”

However, Newsweek collected reports from correspondents on the ground who told a very different story:

“[T]here’s probably no more than 5,000 people here [and that] People keep leaving during Trump’s speech. It’s cold and windy and there’s not much enthusiasm.”

In addition to that delusional misrepresentation of reality, Trump’s assertions about Republican gubernatorial candidate David Perdue, who Trump endorsed in fit of vengeance after the incumbent governor, Brian Kemp, refused to go along with Trump’s “Big Lie” that the 2020 election was “rigged,” are wildly off kilter. Trump tweeted that…

“David Perdue, who is a wonderful man, and incredible family, and really got screwed by Kemp, is the only candidate in this race who can beat Stacey ‘the hoax’ Abrams this November. And you know the reason for that is because Trump voters — MAGA — Trump voters will not go out and vote for Kemp. They’re not going to vote. And let’s say it’s gonna be a close election. I happen to think that Georgia is a very red state. I think it’s red as hell”

Trump is effectively encouraging a voter boycott by Trumpian Republicans if his anointed candidate loses in the GOP primary. “Okay, fine,” say Georgia’s Democrats. Trump has already exposed himself to legal liabilities for trying to intimidate Georgia’s elected officials into “finding” (i.e. fabricating) enough votes for him to overturn the election in the state. And that’s only one of the civil and criminal cases that are pending against him.

Unfortunately for Trump, Perdue, who lost his Senate seat last year to Democrat Jon Ossoff, isn’t turning out to be the savior that Trump was hoping for. In the latest poll of the race between Perdue and Kemp, Perdue is trailing by double digits.

So Trump’s influence in electoral endorsements is decidedly weakening. And his appeal to the cult members who populate his rallies is declining. That leaves only his social media presence that has been curtailed by his having been banned from most of the major platforms (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube). And the effort to launch his own Twitter clone is such a failure that even he doesn’t use it. And yet he is still trying desperately to present an image of success amidst his impotent flops. It’s almost too pathetic to watch. Almost.

UPDATE: An April 9 rally in North Carolina also failed to draw much attendance. Even Trump’s cult followers are bored with his repetitive shtick.

Trump’s Loopy Lawsuit Against Hillary Clinton and ‘Her Cohorts’ Reads Like Sleazy Pulp Fiction

What could be more predictable than Donald Trump attempting to divert attention away from whatever new self-created calamity is causing him grief? Just as news has broken about his legal tribulations, and the investigation into his role in the January 6th insurrection gets closer to issuing criminal referrals, Trump announces another of his spectacularly asinine media stunts.

Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump

On Thursday Trump’s legal team revealed that they have filed a lawsuit against Hillary Clinton, and nearly fifty other people who the suit describes as “her cohorts,” in a conspiracy aimed at “destroying his life.” The list of defendants is itself a comedic exercise in extremist overreaching and includes Clinton, along with numerous Democratic operatives and FBI officials. It’s 108 pages of pure paranoid bullpucky that any reputable lawyer – or fiction author – would be embarrassed to be associated with.

The filing contained the obligatory inanities and misspellings that are commonly littered throughout any Trump legal document. But most prominent in this chronicle of conspiracy crackpottery are the innumerable lies and disinformation. It began with a flourish of fallacious fabrications soaked in utterly implausible melodrama:

In the run-up to the 2016 presidential election, Hillary Clinton and her cohorts orchestrated an unthinkable plot – one that shocks the conscience and is an affront to this nation’s democracy. Acting in concert, the Defendants maliciously conspired to weave a false narrative that their Republican opponent, Donald J Trump, was colluding with a hostile foreign sovereignty. The actions taken in furtherance of their scheme—falsifying evidence, deceiving law enforcement, and exploiting access to highly-sensitive data sources – are so outrageous, subversive and incendiary that even the events of Watergate pale in comparison. […]

“Defendants, blinded by political ambition, orchestrated a malicious conspiracy to disseminate patently false and injurious information about Donald J. Trump and his campaign, all in the hopes of destroying his life, his political career and rigging the 2016 Presidential Election in favor of Hillary Clinton.”

From there the filing went on to throw in every deceitful and baseless allegation Trump has peddled for more than six years. For instance…

“Special Counsel Mueller went on to exonerate Donald J. Trump and his campaign with his finding that there was no evidence of collusion with Russia.”
To the contrary, Robert Mueller explicitly stated that Trump was not exonerated and he enumerated at least ten instances of obstruction of justice.

And…

“The full extent of the Defendants’ wrongdoing has been steadily and gradually exposed by Special Counsel John Durham.”
Actually, Durham never alleged the wrongdoing that Trump implies. To date he has only addressed some tracking of publicly available Internet activity. What’s more, Durham’s reporting clearly states that the period of time that such Internet activity was being monitored was during President Obama’s term, not Trump’s.

In the 108 pages of this filing Trump referenced “Russia” 159 times. His obsession with absolving himself of any alleged “collusion” is obvious. But it is also ludicrous. A bipartisan report from the GOP-led Senate Intelligence Committee found that…

“The Trump campaign’s interactions with Russian intelligence services during the 2016 presidential election posed a “grave” counterintelligence threat […] it detailed how associates of Donald Trump had regular contact with Russians and expected to benefit from the Kremlin’s help.”

Trump’s lawsuit also makes false claims that the defendants were “hacking servers at Trump Tower, Trump’s private apartment, and, most alarmingly, the White House.” However, there is no evidence of that in the filing or reality. Although we do know that Trump asked Russia to hack Clinton’s emails, because he made that request on national television. Trump also mentioned Wikileaks in the lawsuit. Which is curious considering that the data Wikileaks made available to the Trump campaign was confirmed to have been provided by Russian hackers.

Any credible person analyzing this lawsuit cannot help but come away with the impression that it is nothing more than a deliberate distraction based on demonstrable lies. If it were made into a soap opera, it would be laughably unwatchable. The writers would be suing to have their names removed from the credits.

This lawsuit reeks of the sort of ineptitude that is the hallmark of Trump’s legal team. But if it proceeds, which is doubtful, it will offer some of the best entertainment deriving from the discovery process and Trump’s depositions. So here’s hoping that Trump is stupid enough to go forward with it.

UPDATE 9/9/2022: Trump’s ludicrous lawsuit got laughed out of court

“Trump ‘is not attempting to seek redress for any legal harm,’ [Judge] Middlebrooks said. ‘He is seeking to flaunt a two-hundred-page political manifesto outlining his grievances against those that have opposed him, and this Court is not the appropriate forum.'”
