Deranged Donald Trump Whines that the ‘Fake’ Media Reported What Even He Admits is the Truth

The accelerating desperation of Donald Trump is impossible to ignore as his legal tribulations mount and his ability to respond coherently declines. The past week saw Trump and his criminally complicit clan (Don Jr, Eric, and Ivanka) testify in the financial fraud trial taking place in New York. But employing feigned ignorance is not a particularly clever defense strategy.

Donald Trump, CNN

The Trumps took the stand reluctantly and each of these self-professed business “geniuses” claimed that they couldn’t recall significant events in their administration of Trump Organization affairs. That crudely coordinated defense relies on the argument that they are either incompetent stooges or suffering from some rare form of inbred amnesia. At least for The Donald, there is some validity to that argument.

SEE THIS: Trump Suffers Mental Collapse Over Poll that Asks About His Obviously Collapsing Mental Health

In the latest of his ongoing online harangues, Trump lashed out at his perennial media foe, CNN. But this time he was outraged that the network reported something that he conceded was true in the very same comment. The post on his failing social media scam, Truth Social, was a marvel of maliciousness and mendacity. What follows is an annotated examination of Trump’s tirade that displays a pathology that is both tormented and impotent. He began…

“Fake News CNN just did a story, leaked by Deranged Prosecutor Jack Smith and his massive team of Radical Left Lunatics, that various people saw papers and boxes at Mar-a-Lago. Of course they did! They may have been the boxes etc. that were openly and plainly brought from the White House, as is my right under the Presidential Records Act.”

Trump is appalled that CNN had the audacity to report that the boxes of classified documents he stole and hoarded at his Mar-a-Lago hotel/home were seen by “various people.” He calls it “fake news” even though he agrees that “of course” it was true. And he thinks that special counsel Jack Smith is deranged?

What Trump is referring to is a CNN report that Smith has subpoenaed several Mar-a-Lago employees with knowledge of Trump’s mishandling of the classified materials that he lied to the FBI about having. These employees can not only attest to Trump’s possession of the documents, but to his alleged attempts to hide them from authorities.

What’s more, Trump continues to use the Presidential Records Act to justify his misconduct, even though the Act explicitly states that “Presidential records automatically transfer into the legal custody of the [National] Archivist as soon as the President leaves office.” But Trump was just getting started. He continues…

“I even supplied, upon request, Security Tapes to these Election Interfering Thugs. Is this really ‘Breaking News?’ No, it’s ‘Breaking Fake News.’ But what about all of the papers, boxes, and documents found at NUMEROUS Crooked Joe Biden places, like his garage floor by his cherished Corvette, or CHINATOWN where it was just learned that boxes moved freely in and out. He doesn’t come under the Presidential Records Act because he wasn’t President at the time.”

The “breaking” news was that the Mar-a-Lago staff had been subpoenaed. And it was newsworthy enough to catch Trump’s attention and spark his seething anger. And as usual, Trump tries to divert attention from himself to his arch enemy, President Biden. What Trump fails to mention is that Biden never tried to claim that he owned the documents in question. He never lied to the FBI. He never withheld anything after authorities requested it be returned. In short, he never violated any of the many laws that Trump did. But in Trump’s mind, the greater crime is always just the act of holding him accountable for his crimes…

“Deranged Jack Smith has spent over $100,000,000 investigating me on this phony Russia, Russia, Russia, type Scam. How much $’s have they spent investigating Crooked Joe on his much bigger boxes deal?””

For the record, Smith’s investigation had only spent $9 million as of July. Trump is apparently using the same perverted math that he used to mis-value his real estate properties, which is what got him indicted for financial fraud in the first place. The Biden probe has spent less than $2 million, partly because he has been cooperating rather than obstructing, like Trump has been doing. And Trump knows what Smith’s probe has cost because he posted a comment on it at the time…

“Deranged Jack Smith, the wacko prosecutor that Corrupt Joe Biden and his Thugs stuck on me during the political campaign in which Biden is losing “BIG” (an absolute No, No!), just announced that he has spent over 9 million dollars, already, on this continuing Witch Hunt.”

The fact that Trump lies incessantly isn’t going to surprise anyone. But his openness and pitifully poor execution remains surprising if only because most people get better at things when they do them so frequently. Trump, apparently, is not only ignorant and dishonest, he’s incapable of learning. But he nevertheless remains impressed with himself and his own perception of his imaginary brilliance. He is what he would call “deranged.”

‘It May Just Be that Mr. Trump is Incoherent’ – Says NBC Legal Analyst About Trump’s Testimony

The first of what will be many trials for Donald Trump has commenced in New York. And to no one’s surprise, he is behaving like a colicky infant who is inconsolable when he doesn’t get way. From the moment he took the stand, Trump was argumentative, insulting, and unresponsive.

Donald Trump Angry

This is precisely the sort of childish conduct that legal experts predicted. And they had plenty of examples of his ill-mannered demeanor over the past several years (decades) to arrive at their assessment. If there is one thing that Trump is known for, it’s throwing temper tantrums and lashing out boorishly at his perceived foes. It’s his inbred response to any situation wherein he feels victimized. Which lately is virtually every situation that he finds himself in.

SEE THIS: Select Trump’s Derangement Spirals Ever Downward as He Impotently Promises to Prove His Innocence

Trump spent Monday morning bickering with Judge Arthur Engoron, who was reluctant to allow Trump to ramble on incessantly in response to every question without ever actually answering it. Trump also devoted more time to attacking both the judge and Attorney General Letitia James, than to defending himself. He whined that James is “a political hack,” and that “this is a political witch hunt,” and that she “should be ashamed of herself.” Then he turned his ire toward the judge saying that he “ruled against me before he knew anything about me. He called me a fraud… The fraud is on the court, not on me.”

None of those complaints advance any sort of plausible defense for the financial fraud that he’s on trial for. But they do put on display Trump’s deteriorating mental state. Which is something that was noticed by NBC legal analyst, Chuck Rosenberg, during a segment on Andrea Mitchell’s program…

Mitchell: He’s alternating between being completely unhinged and then restraining himself. How long can the judge let this kind of behavior go on? I guess he can. But if the judge will assess the liability, if he’s already found him guilty of fraud – the corporation, I should say.
Rosenberg; Different judges run their courtrooms in different ways. There are two possibilities here.. Perhaps more, but two that come to mind. One is that Trump is trying to goad the judge into some sort of mistake. To make a comment that would be helpful to the Trump team on appeal. Judge Engoron is an experienced jurist. I don’t think that has happened yet, and I don’t see that happening.

The other… it may just be that Mr. Trump is incoherent. That his answers make quite literally no sense, perhaps to anyone but him. And that he can’t help himself. He can’t conform to court rules and procedures. And so this is what you get.”

That’s about as accurate a prognosis of Trump’s state of mind as you’re likely hear. And Rosenberg is actually right on both counts. Trump is, and has been, noticeably incoherent for quite a long time. And Trump is indeed trying – in vain – to incite the judge into making an angry response. In fact, it is a strategy that his team has planned from the start. According to insiders in Trump’s camp…

“[Trump and his lawyers] are intentionally trying to provoke the judge into a nuclear-level overreaction [that] could even lead to the judge ordering Trump to be remanded to a jail cell.”

Rosenberg also observed that Trump’s strategy was not only futile, but even counterproductive to Trump’s legal goals, saying that…

“Either way, whatever the motive, it is the judge, at the end of the day, that is going to determine the damages, determine the fine, determine the penalty. He’s already assessed liability. So from the theatrical perspective, maybe this plays in some other venue. From a legal perspective, this does not play in court.”

The reason that Trump is attacking the judge and the AG is that he know what he did, he knows that the court knows it, and he knows that he is certain to be found liable. So he has essentially given up trying to defend himself. He may by resting his hopes on an appeal, where he is also likely to fail. Or more likely, he is just playing to his cult followers and hoping to stir further division and civil unrest.

However, Trump did provide a bit of unintentional comic relief when he was asked about his 2021 financial statement, He replied that, “I was so busy in the White House. My threshold was China, Russia, and keeping our country safe.” Trump had to be remined by the prosecutor that he wasn’t the president when those statements were prepared in 2021.

So Trump is just providing even more proof of his psychological separation from reality. We can expect much more of that to come as this and subsequent trials unfold. And while it is humorous on some level, it is more disturbing than funny to consider that he actually has a shot at being reelected, and that his cult continues to worship him.

Which just makes it all the more imperative that Democrats, and other American patriots, commit to voting Blue – up and down the ballot – next year, and to persuade as many of their peers as possible to do so as well. We need to be clear-eyed that the future of democracy in our country is what’s at stake. If we aren’t, we will lose it.

Wannabe Dictator Trump Declares His Intention to Obstruct Justice and Undermine the Constitution

The campaign by Donald Trump to return to his occupation of the White House is on a runaway track toward tormented dementia. With each new public appearance or posting on his pitifully failing social media scam, Truth Social, he affirms the depths of his psychosis. He’s in a downward spiral and headed for a crash landing.

Donald Trump Tyrant Dictator

On Saturday Trump attended the Republican party’s ironically named “Freedom Summit” at the equally ironically named Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee, Florida. The affair featured several of the candidates for the GOP nomination for president, but like a right-wing rock concert, saved the headliner spot for Trump, who spoke last. And true to form, Trump delivered a depressing and dangerously inflammatory diatribe that only an indoctrinated cult disciple, or a Republican (but I repeat myself), could appreciate.

SEE ALSO: The Desperate and Dystopian Delirium of Donald Trump as He Descends Into Drooling Dementia

The subjects that Trump covered were typical of his tediously repetitive sermonizing. Of course he attacked President Biden as both “Sleepy” and “Crooked,” apparently unable to keep track of which epithets he’s using today. But more troubling were his promises of what he planned to do should he be reelected next year. And the first thing on his agenda is – in his own words – retribution for the perceived persecutions he believes that he is the victim of. And the persecutor he is most fixated on is, naturally, President Biden, whose election he still denies was legitimate. So Trump raged that…

“Everything is a lie. The whole thing is a lie. The whole election was a lie. As president I will be creating a “Truth and Reconciliation Commission” to shed sunlight on every dark and rotten corner of Washington, D.C., starting with Biden.”

“Truth” and “reconciliation” are two of the English language words that are least likely to be associated with Trump, who is known for his pathological lying and vengefulness. But what Trump is announcing here is his plan to abuse the power of the presidency to persecute Biden for the crime of having beaten him so decisively in 2020.

Trump went on to boast that he had already engaged in similar abuses of power when he fired FBI Director James Comey and other FBI officials in a blatant attempt to evade the legal consequences of his criminal behavior. Trump bragged that…

“You gotta understand, we were doing a job. I got rid of Comey. I got rid of the FBI top guys. I got rid of them of all. Boy oh boy. If I didn’t, I probably wouldn’t be standing here talking to you, because that was a bad thing they were planning. […] There were bad things planned. And we learned all about them because that was like throwing a rock into a hornet’s nest when I fired that guy.”

To be clear, Trump is publicly confessing to obstruction of justice by terminating law enforcement officials who were investigating his misconduct. Although his pride in having tainted the legal auspices of the executive branch of government is wildly misplaced. He is still going to be held accountable as result of the four pending indictments against him for 91 felony charges – so far.

However, Trump still wasn’t finished incriminating himself. He elaborated on his intentions to pervert justice with a promise to clean house at the Department of Justice and to launch self-serving probes into the federal and state attorneys who are currently prosecuting him. He’s blaming them for his legal problems, despite the fact that they are only prosecuting him for crimes that citizens on grand juries indicted him for. He lashed out saying that…

“We will together restore law and order in our country. We will completely overhaul the DOJ to investigate every Marxist prosecutor in America for their illegal racist-in-the-reverse enforcement of the law.”

Note that three of the prosecutors working on Trump’s cases (Letitia James, Fani Willis, and Alvin Bragg) are Black. So naturally Trump regards this as a racial assault on his superior and unassailable whiteness. He would like nothing more than to be the instigator of a race war in America. In fact, he has an explicit plan to incite hostility and division among the American people. The Washington Post reported on this plan writing that…

“Donald Trump and his allies have begun mapping out specific plans for using the federal government to punish critics and opponents should he win a second term, with the former president naming individuals he wants to investigate or prosecute and his associates drafting plans to potentially invoke the Insurrection Act on his first day in office to allow him to deploy the military against civil demonstrations.”

So Trump is pledging to weaponize both the Justice and Defense Departments against his perceived enemies and, ultimately, all of the American people. Rest assured that he won’t stop there either. He would use the departments of State, Energy, Education, Treasury, Homeland Security, and even Agriculture if he can think of a way. His sole purpose is to exalt himself and reign unchallenged as a tyrannical monarch. And in the process, make those who stood in his way pay for their disloyalty. What’s more, Trump would form alliances with his heroes, Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong Un, and Xi Jinping. And he would sell American interests to the highest bidders.

Make no mistake, these are his ambitions. In speeches like the one he gave on Saturday he is telling the world right out loud what he intends to do. And if the American people hope to avoid this nightmare they should listen to him, and vote for every Democrat up and down the ballot, if they hope to preserve democracy and the future of this country. Because that is what’s at stake.

Trump is FREAKING OUT, Saying that His Trials Should Have Started Before He Committed His Crimes

The legal melodrama that is playing out for Donald Trump is becoming ever more dense with the demented spectacle of his singular brand of aberrant behavior. In recent weeks he has shown up in court only to sit and scowl for a couple of hours, then to whine in the hallway to reporters about what a poor, pathetic victim he is.

Donald Trump, Prison

While Trump is suffering severe anxiety due to the 91 felony counts against him that are pending in four jurisdictions, he is displaying increasing levels of desperation and hostility toward his perceived enemies. As a result, he has been sanctioned twice for violating a court order to refrain from attacking court personnel and witnesses. Meanwhile, his crime family accomplices (Ivanka, Eric, and Don Jr) have been ordered to testify at his trial, and his former lawyers (Sidney Powell, Kenneth Chesebro, and Jenna Ellis)) have been taking plea deals to save themselves.

SEE THIS: Trump’s Spokesperson Says He is ‘Confused’ About Why His Former Lawyers Would Plead Guilty

These would be highly distressing circumstances for anyone. But for a malignant narcissist like Trump they are impossible barriers to overcome psychologically or emotionally. Consequently, he is being driven to drastic depths of anguish and despair that are producing some of his most pronounced exhibitions of derangement. And naturally, he is venting his venom on his pitifully failing social media scam, Truth Social. In a flurry of comments Monday morning, Trump raged

“Why didn’t Crooked Joe Biden tell his Injustice Department to file the lawsuits and Indictments against me 3 years ago, instead of right in the middle of my campaign for President? You’re setting a BAD precedent for yourself, Joe. The same can happen to you. These Third World Biden Indictments, which should never have been filed, would have been tried and over with years ago. My SleazeBag Opponent shouldn’t be able to do this during my campaign, OR BEFORE THE ELECTION!”

Let’s take some time to unravel that rumpload of rubbish, shall we? For starters, there is no hint of proof that President Biden had anything to do with the indictments against Trump that were filed by three different prosecutors in both federal and state offices. Secondly, Trump is threatening to charge Biden with – who knows? Something or other – if he has the opportunity, despite insisting that such charges are unjust. Thirdly, Trump is now resorting to calling Biden a “Sleazebag,” which is a textbook example of projection in its most infantile form.

However, the most prominent crackpottery of Trump’s comment is his complaint that the charges against him should have been brought three years ago. Really? In October of 2020, while Trump was still president? That would mean that his Attorney General, Bill Barr, would have had to appoint the special prosecutor. So is Trump complaining that his own administration was negligent in enforcing the law against him?

What’s more, October of 2020 was before the November presidential election. So Trump is upset that he wasn’t charged with crimes that he had not even committed yet. Most of the pending indictments are related to his efforts to overturn the election, or to the insurrection that he incited on January 6, 2021, or to his theft and hoarding classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago home/hotel after he left the White House. All of which had not occurred yet three years ago.

Nevertheless, Trump thinks that he should have been charged in advance of his crimes. Is he admitting that he was already planning them? He also thinks that he is currently in the middle of his campaign for president, and that he should, therefore, not be charged at all. But he hasn’t stopped campaigning since his first announcement in 2015. Which is proof that his campaigns are actually just thinly veiled attempts to inoculate himself against indictments.

Trump followed up the comment above with three others that said essentially the same thing. First he wrote… “Why didn’t they start the totally political BIDEN INDICTMENTS & COURT CASES Three (3) Years Ago, instead of the MIDDLE OF MY CAMPAIGN??? Third World Country-ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!” Then came… “If they started the highly political Biden Indictments 3 years ago, everything would now be finished. THEY WAITED UNTIL MY CAMPAIGN BEGAN!” And finally… “These highly political (All started by Crooked Joe Biden!) Lawsuits and Indictments shouldn’t be allowed to start until AFTER THE ELECTION IS OVER! Our Founding Fathers are looking down at Biden with scorn!”

Indeed, this would all have been finished by now if Trump had been tried three years ago. Although he is assuming that he would have been acquitted. But given the breadth and depth of his rampant criminality, that is not a safe assumption. While the trials would be over, he might also be in prison. So let’s hope he gets his wish to have these trials concluded long before the next election. Because the best way to prevent any “election interference” is for Trump and his confederates to be behind bars.

Trump’s Spokesperson Says He is ‘Confused’ About Why His Former Lawyers Would Plead Guilty

The past couple of weeks have been extraordinarily troubling for Donald Trump, who is currently awaiting trial on 91 felony charges. He was fined twice for violating a court order to refrain from attacking court personnel and witnesses. His crime family accomplices, Ivanka, Eric, and Don Jr, have been ordered to testify the first week of November. And even his former lawyers have been taking plea deals to save themselves.

Donald Trump Mugshot - Loser Emoji

The fact that Trump’s family and attorneys are potentially flipping has been gnawing at him. Trump’s customary response to such heinous disloyalty is to pretend that he has never met the slimeball who has turned on him, or that they were cowards who merely delivered the coffee. But that’s a much more difficult argument when they are his legal representative and his children.

SEE THIS: BREAKING: Trump Admits that He Knows His Daughter Ivanka, a Witness in His Financial Fraud Case

In the wake of these defections by his closest associates, Trump’s spokesperson, Liz Harrington, rose to his defense in a particularly peculiar manner. She was interviewed by Emerald Robinson, who has the distinction of having been fired by Newsmax for promoting a crackpot conspiracy theory that the COVID vaccine contained “Luciferase,” an allegedly Satanic, bioluminescent marker that would be used to track people.

Robinson landed at Mike Lindell’s video blog where she continues to disgrace herself as a profoundly deranged propagandist and Trump cultist. The interview contained the following exchange about Trump’s legal quagmire…

Robinson: How does the President feel about these former lawyers, or his former associates pleading guilty? What are his thoughts on these developments?
Harrington: Well, I think he’s a little confused because if you’re a lawyer you know that there’s no crimes here. According to the law there’s literally nothing to plead guilty to because there’s no laws that were broken. And speaking out against a fraudulent election, and telling people to watch hearings and petition their elected officials about fraud that was happening on camera? I mean, it’s just surprising.

Robinson’s question is curious in that she asks how “the President” feels about the betrayal by Trump’s legal team. But how would Harrington know what President Biden is feeling about that or anything else?

Harrington’s reply, however, was unexpectedly honest. Her characterization of Trump as “confused” accurately describes his grasp of pretty much any issue. He is, after all, the guy who thinks that he’s currently running against Obama, that windmills kill whales, that stealth fighters are actually invisible, that we should nuke hurricanes, that George Washington’s Army took over airports, and that injecting bleach will cure COVID. And on the basis of that display of his “stable genius”, Trump says that ANYBODY running for the Office of President of the United States should agree to take a full & complete Mental Competency Test.” Okay, you first.

Harrington edges closer to the truth in saying that “if you’re a lawyer you know” whether or not a crime has been committed. And so far four of Trump’s lawyers (Michael Cohen, Sidney Powell, Kenneth Chesebro, and Jenna Ellis) are so certain that crimes were committed that they pleaded guilty to their own participation in them. If Harrington’s assertion that there is “literally nothing to plead guilty to,” then why have four lawyers done just that?

Harrington went on to claim that Trump and his ex-counsel were just “speaking out against a fraudulent election, and telling people to watch hearings and petition their elected officials about fraud.” But she left out that they also knew that the allegations of election fraud were lies, and that their actions included fabricating false election forms and threatening state election officials.

So Harrington is surprised that Trump is confused? Just because he can’t tell the truth about the unlawful conduct that his own attorneys have confessed to? She may be even more surprised that the judges and juries who will hear these cases won’t be the least bit confused when the convict him. And his cult disciples will be both dazed and confused, singing “You hurt and abuse, telling all of your lies. Run ’round, sweet baby, Lord, how they hypnotize.”

BREAKING: Trump Admits that He Knows His Daughter Ivanka, a Witness in His Financial Fraud Case

The phalanx of former flunkies devoted to Donald Trump continues to crumble under the pressure of the legal battles in which he is presently embroiled. Four of his ex-attorneys (Michael Cohen, Sidney Powell, Kenneth Chesebro, and Jenna Ellis) have already pleaded guilty and committed to testifying against him and his other co-defendants.

Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump

A common trait of Trump’s temper is to throw tantrums whenever someone he thought was on his side decides to tell the truth for a change. That drives Trump even crazier than usual. He responds by either lashing out viciously, or pretending that he never knew the traitorous friend who is now a fiend and was always incompetent, ignorant and weak.

SEE THIS: Trump Lies that Sidney Powell Was Never His Attorney After Her Election Interference Guilty Plea

That personality defect is now threatening to fracture Trump’s family relations. The judge presiding over his financial fraud case in New York has ruled that his daughter, Ivanka, must testify as a witness in the case. To his credit, Trump has not yet denied that he knows Ivanka, or that she just used to bring him coffee, or that she has always been a loser. However, the prospect of her testimony has triggered Daddy Trump to post a frantic comment on his pitifully failing social media scam, Truth Social. He whined that…

“My daughter, Ivanka, was released from this Fake Letitia James case by the Court of Appeals, but this Trump Hating, Unhinged Judge, who ruled me guilty before this Witch Hunt Trial even started, couldn’t care less about the fact that he was overturned. I also won on Appeal on Statute of Limitations, but he refuses to accept their decision.”

There’s a lot of fantastical frenzy in that comment. For starters, Trump was not ruled guilty before the trial started. There was a successful motion for summary judgement by Attorney General Letitia James after the trial began and the evidence was presented. More to the point, Ivanka’s role as a witness is not related to her release as a defendant. She still has relevant knowledge of the business affairs of her father’s company that she was a principal in. It is interesting, however, that Trump didn’t bother to complain about his sons, Don Jr and Eric, having to testify.

What’s more, Trump’s claim that he “won” the case on appeal due to the statute of limitations is a blatant misrepresentation of reality. What he appears to be referring to is an appeals court ruling that actions taken prior to 2014 could not be charged because they were outside the statute of limitations. However, Justice Engoron made it clear that all of the charges in this case related only to Trump’s actions after 2014. So the statute of limitations ruling was irrelevant to the pending trial.

Trump’s post went on to slander the judge and the Attorney General in a manner that clearly violates the gag order that was imposed on him, and for which he has already been fined $15,000 for violating twice before. In his characteristically whiney complaint of perpetual victimhood, Trump yammered that…

“I truly believe he is CRAZY, but certainly, at a minimum, CRAZED in his hatred of me. This case should have never started, but now must be dismissed. Financial Statements were LOW, NOT HIGH, had a 100% Disclaimer Clause, Banks were fully paid, ‘on time, on schedule,’ with never even a minor default, there was NO VICTIM, EXCEPT ME. Any other Judge in the Country would have thrown this case out on day one. He’s an out of control ‘Nut Job,’ who fined me $10,000 over a ridiculous Gag Order so that the publicity for the day would take over from the fact that Racist James and the Judge’s Star Witness admitted LYING TO CONGRESS on the stand – CASE OVER!”

And that wasn’t the end of it either. Trump posted a another comment that repeated his tedious attacks on what he called “a grossly incompetent ‘Judge,'” “a partisan political hack,” “a Failed, Trump Hating, Racist Attorney General,” and “a Biden Election Interference Scam!” It is mind boggling that Trump thinks that this sort of deranged babbling will benefit his defense.

More likely, he has already accepted the fact that he has lost and that the court will dissolve his businesses in New York and impose a stiff financial penalty. Then he will file an appeal and hope for success there. But given the abundance of evidence against him, and the fealty to the law practiced by Justice Engoron, Trump is likely to be disappointed again. In the meantime, he will have thrown his children under the bus to save himself. Did you expect anything else from him?

LOL: Trump Quotes Some Old Praise By His Former Fixer, Michael Cohen, Who He Then Calls a Liar

The soap opera that is chronicling Donald Trump’s legal quagmire continues to unfold with Trump himself providing the most perverse plot twists. His relentless determination to sabotage his own self-interests is a case study in narcissistic sociopathy, wherein the subject is convinced of his own infallibility, and even immortality.

Donald Trump, National Enquirer

On Tuesday morning Trump returned to the New York courtroom where he is being tried for financial fraud. His presence was neither requested nor necessary. He just wanted to show up on the day that his former attorney, Michael Cohen, was scheduled to testify. Trump attempted to set up this face off previously, but Cohen had it postponed due to illness. Trump made an appearance anyway so that he could complain – again – about what a poor, pathetic, victim he is.

SEE ALSO: Crybaby Trump Returns to the New York Courtroom Where He Whines that ‘This is a Rigged Trial’

The Cohen testimony was rescheduled and he arrived at court ready to square off with Trump and his attorneys. However, in advance of that testimony, Trump posted a comment on his pitifully failing social media scam, Truth Social, that featured the following twelve year old quote from the Huffington Post of Michael Cohen sucking up to his then-boss:

“Trump lawyer Michael Cohen told The Huffington Post that Trump is worth ‘a lot … substantially more than what’s recorded in Forbes.’ ‘They don’t take into account the value of the Trump brand, of the mark, one of the most valuable marks that’s ever been created,’ Cohen said. ‘He has very little debt, triple-A assets.’ (HuffPost, April 2011)”

At the time Cohen was a devoted lawyer representing Trump and described himself as “fiercely loyal to him and committed to protecting him at all costs.” A quote that Trump also posted. Cohen later recanted those complimentary remarks, admitting that he lied on Trump’s behalf and at his direction.

Trump’s reference to those flattering statements show that he is relying on Cohen’s loyalty and honesty to defend himself against the charges of financial fraud that the court has already ruled are valid. But before court on Tuesday Trump called Cohen “a liar trying to get a better deal for himself.”

That brief statement holds a surprising quantity of bullcrap. First of all, Cohen was already tried and has served his sentence, so there’s nothing pending to make a deal on. Also, calling Cohen a liar violates the gag order prohibiting Trump from attacking witnesses in the case.

But more to the point, Trump is now maligning Cohen as a dishonest witness who must not be believed. That’s right, the same guy who Trump just embraced for his honesty and adulation is simultaneously a scoundrel who can’t tell the truth. Trump is, in effect, discrediting his own character witness. Who else but a “stable genius” like Trump would execute such a boldly schizoid strategy?

For his part, Cohen told reporters before he entered the courtroom that “This is not about Donald Trump vs. Michael Cohen, or Michael Cohen vs. Donald Trump. This is about accountability, plain and simple. and we leave it up to Judge Engoron to make all the determinations on that.” Whatever one thinks of Cohen, he clearly has a more rational approach to how behave in such legal proceedings.

Trump, on the other hand, continues to demonstrate that he is an attorney’s worst nightmare. In addition to Cohen’s relationship with Trump leading to a conviction and prison sentence, three of Trump’s former lawyers (Jenna Ellis, Sidney Powell, and Kenneth Chesebro) have pleaded guilty in the election interference case in Georgia. You really have to wonder how Trump gets anyone to represent him at this point when all they get is indicted, imprisoned, or stiffed – or all of the above.

Trump Lies that Sidney Powell Was Never His Attorney After Her Election Interference Guilty Plea

The past week has been one of the most consequential for Donald Trump from a legal perspective. As his peril increases, Trump is driven to ever more deranged outbursts. He is panicking as he attempts to manufacture preposterous excuses for his malfeasance and seeks to throw anyone and everyone under the bus in vain efforts to save himself.

SEE THIS: Trump’s Derangement Spirals Ever Downward as He Impotently Promises to Prove His Innocence

On Sunday morning Trump took to his pitifully failing social media scam, Truth Social, to torpedo the latest object of his extreme animosity, his election denying, conspiracy theory cohort, Sidney Powell. He raged that…

“Sidney Powell was one of millions and millions of people who thought, and in ever increasing numbers still think, correctly, that the 2020 Presidential Election was RIGGED & STOLLEN, AND OUR COUNTRY IS BEING ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED BECAUSE OF IT!!! Despite the Fake News reports to the contrary, and without even reaching out to ask the Trump Campaign, MS. POWELL WAS NOT MY ATTORNEY, AND NEVER WAS.”

There is an abundance of bullsh*t in that bombastic blather. Let’s start with his delusion that there are “ever increasing numbers” of people who think the 2020 election was “RIGGED & STOLLEN” (which he still can’t spell). But more to the point, Trump is now disavowing his relationship with Powell. That’s a convenient position considering that she has pleaded guilty to some of the very same crimes that he has been charged with.

There’s just one small problem. Powell was not only his lawyer, but he proudly announced it back on November 14, 2020, shortly after the election. Trump boasted in a tweet that…

“I look forward to Mayor Giuliani spearheading the legal effort to defend OUR RIGHT to FREE and FAIR ELECTIONS! Rudy Giuliani, Joseph diGenova, Victoria Toensing, Sidney Powell, and Jenna Ellis, a truly great team, added to our other wonderful lawyers and representatives!”

It’s notable that every one of the lawyers mentioned there have been cited for legal misconduct and or sanctioned by the courts or the Bar Association. And of course, Powell is prominently partnered with the “truly great team” that Trump assembled to defend election denial and interference, and to undermine democracy. She was also at the press conference held by Giuliani to introduce the team to America.

What’s more, Trump even tried to appoint Powell as a special prosecutor to investigate the imaginary election fraud that she was the foremost proponent of. Her lies eventually led to the defamation lawsuit against her and Fox News by Dominion Voting Systems that Fox settled for a whopping 3/4 of a billion dollars.

Trump’s plot to make Powell a special prosecutor failed because even his own staff adamantly opposed it – and her. The New York Times reported that Trump tried to make that appointment, and affirmed that she was, in fact, his attorney…

“President Trump on Friday discussed naming Sidney Powell, who as a lawyer for his campaign team unleashed conspiracy theories about a Venezuelan plot to rig voting machines in the United States, to be a special counsel overseeing an investigation of voter fraud, according to two people briefed on the discussion.”

Trump’s Truth Social tirade went on to make a bizarre explanation for why Powell could not have been representing him…

“In fact, she would have been conflicted. Ms. Powell did a valiant job of representing a very unfairly treated and governmentally abused General Mike Flynn, but to no avail. His prosecution, despite the facts, was ruthless. He was an innocent man, much like many other innocent people who are being persecuted by this now Fascist government of ours, and I was honored to give him a Full Pardon!”

Of course, Powell could have represented both Flynn and Trump, unless there was a conflict motion presented in court to prohibit it. Which there never was. And naturally Trump brags about pardoning Flynn because he was “an innocent man” despite his having pleaded guilty in 2017 to “lying to the FBI about his contacts with the Russian ambassador.” Which, by the way, Trump fired him for from his post as his White House National Security Advisor.

Trump’s mental state is clearly deteriorating as his trial dates gets closer and his accomplices begin to flip in order to save their own hides. Calling the American government “fascist” is evidence of his psychological projection unto others of what he does himself. Deep down Trump knows what he did, and he knows that the prosecutors know it. But he will continue to lie and gaslight his cult followers until he is finally held accountable and convicted. And he’ll probably lie after that as well. It’s all that he knows how to do.

Trump’s Derangement Spirals Ever Downward as He Impotently Promises to Prove His Innocence

As Albert Einstein once said, “Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the universe.” Had he been around today he might have added the depths of Donald Trump’s derangement. Researchers are still looking for a bottom, but haven’t seen any sign of it to date.

Donald Trump, coronavirus

The latest indicators of Trump’s measureless mental meltdown come via the postings on his pitifully failing social media scam, Truth Social. While the current news cycle is bursting with domestic and international crises, Trump is characteristically consumed by matters that affect only his own massive yet fragile ego.

On Friday morning Trump lashed out frantically at what he imagines to be a global cabal of Trump-haters conspiring to destroy him and his divinely inspired MAGA movement. He whined that…

“As I successfully fight these Political Opponent Lawsuits, all created and started by Crooked Joe Biden and his group of Radical Left Thugs […] let them keep suing me over BULLSHIT, in their hope of Election Interference, as our Country becomes disabled and dies.”

It’s curious how Trump thinks that President Biden is the mastermind of all of this thuggery despite his being – in Trump’s view – a senile commie who can’t put two sentences together. And Trump’s morose vision of America as a weak and doomed country that is disabled and dying is a unique strategy for motivating voters in the upcoming election. However, it fits in perfectly with his prior declarations of an “American Carnage,” with “blood soaked streets,” that he has gleefully thrilled his cult with.

But Trump was just getting started. In another post he asked, “Does anyone notice that the Election Rigging Biden Administration never goes after the Riggers.” It doesn’t take much imagination to know what he really wanted to say there. Then he expressed his confidence that he would be exonerated for all of the 91 felony charges against him because

“Massive information and 100% evidence will be made available during the Corrupt Trials started by our Political Opponent.”

One might wonder why Trump hasn’t produced any of that “massive information” in any of the court proceedings he has already had and lost. He’s had three years to clear his name, but for some unexplained reason has chosen not to do so. And he’s still going to withhold that “100% evidence” for several more months until his trials begin. That’s a position he has taken before…

SEE THIS: YEAH, RIGHT! Trump Promises an ‘Irrefutable,’ ‘Completely Exonerating’ Report on Election Fraud

Trump does have good reason to be freaking out now. Two of his former attorneys, Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro, just pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges and election interference in Georgia. Ironically, of the 19 defendants in that RICO case, they are the two who requested speedy trials. Now both have opted out of going to trial entirely. And the terms of their plea deals require them to testify against their co-defendants, including Trump.

What’s more, Trump was just admonished in court for violating the order to refrain from intimidating or threatening court officials or witnesses. Sanctions for that violation could range from financial penalties to incarceration. And for someone whose psychological state has already been shaky, it’s not surprising that he is publicly wobbling more than ever. Even (satirical) Fox News has noticed…

Crybaby Trump Returns to the New York Courtroom Where He Whines that ‘This is a Rigged Trial’

The trial of Donald Trump for financial fraud in New York has already produced abundant evidence of his corruption and guilt. There has, in fact, already been a summary judgement that Trump lied in his financial reporting and in documents provided to banks, insurers, and tax officials.

Donald Trump, Snowflakes

Nevertheless, Trump keeps showing up at court despite the fact that his presence was neither requested nor needed. He sits at the defendants table with his attorneys scowling for a couple of hours, stepping outside every so often to bark at reporters. His spiel is a tediously repetitive tirade about how he is such a poor, pathetic victim of a cabal of meanies determined to destroy him.

SEE THIS: Trump On Trial: It’s a Travesty of a Sham of a Mockery of a Travesty of Two Mockeries of a Sham

On Tuesday Trump staged a new performance of this farce in the court’s hallways. And true to form, he offered nothing new to exonerate himself. To the contrary, he actually incriminated himself further. which he seems to have a habit of doing nearly every time he opens his mouth.

In this episode of his judicial soap opera, Trump repeated his monotonous mantra that “This is a rigged trial.” Because virtually every event that he disapproves of, or that reveals his wrongdoings, is the result of some insidious “rigging” by clandestine operatives aligned against him.

Trump is convinced that there cannot be any legitimate legal complaint against him because he says that “I’m the number one candidate leading the Republicans by 55, 60 points. That should be over.” However, Trump’s popularity within the Republican Party does not immunize him from any crimes he committed. Although it does say something about the moral decrepitude of the Republican Party that supports a candidate with 91 felony charges pending.

Trump’s insistence that the GOP primary “should be over,” despite the fact that not a single primary election has taken place, affirms his affinity for the sort of authoritarian dictatorship wherein he just unilaterally declares himself the winner of every contest.

Trump also utterly fails in portraying himself as the kind of strongman that generally heads up such an authoritarian regime. Strongmen do not usually whine like babies about being held down by the enemies they claim are weak and incompetent. But that’s how Trump described his current predicament outside of court today…

“My speech has been taken away from me. I’m a candidate that’s running for office and I’m not allowed to speak. This is a railroad and it’s all coming out of the Department of Justice. It’s all set up by Biden and the thugs that he’s surrounded with.”

First of all, Trump cannot assert that his speech was “taken away” from him while he is actually speaking. The restrictions that Judge Chutkan imposed are narrowly defined so as to prohibit Trump only from making intimidating comments and threats directed at court personnel and potential witnesses. He’s free to criticize the judge and any of his political opponents.

What’s more, despite having made the claim repeatedly, he still has no shred of evidence that President Biden or his administration have played any part in his prosecutions. More likely, he’s the source of his own legal problems. He keeps confessing to crimes, just as he did today, saying that…

“Just to conclude, they said I overvalued my financial statements. Well, actually the financial statements are undervalued by tremendous amounts of money.”

Okay then, Trump is admitting that he’s guilty of undervaluing his assets in order to avoid paying taxes on them. Although, there remains a great deal of evidence – and testimony from his own accountants – that he also overvalued his properties in order to get more favorable terms on loans. He keeps complaining that the judge or the Attorney General appraised Mar-a-Lago at $18 million. But the court got that figure from Trump’s own appraiser. And if Mar-a-Lago is really worth $1.5 billion, as Trump now claims, then didn’t he illegally underpay his taxes for years?

You have to wonder why Trump’s lawyers don’t impose their own gag order on him. The more he talks, the more harm he does to his own cases. And all of these comments can be used court even if Trump declines to testify. So these extra-judicial press conferences are only going to benefit the prosecution. Which by extension, will benefit the nation if it results in his conviction and incarceration.
