Trump Plagiarized His Plugs for Books By Bootlicking Fox News Flunkies

The Creature from Mar-a-Lago (Mar-All-Ego?) continues to demonstrate the extent of the damage to his fragile and emotionally crippled psyche. Donald Trump’s malignant narcissism has always posed a threat to America and the world as he sought to exalt himself and assault his critics with pitifully impotent insults. With each new day’s outbursts, Trump reveals the depth of his mental rot.

Donald Trump, Fox News, Fake

On Wednesday Trump’s spokes-shill, Liz Harrington, posted a couple tweets on behalf of Trump to offer praise for books that he surely hasn’t read. Harrington has to tweet for Trump because his reckless and relentless lies about COVID-19 and election fraud got him banished from much of social media. Twitter imposed their ban on January 8th, two days after Trump’s deadly insurrection on Capitol Hill, saying that “we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence.”

However, this new pair of tweets expose Trump as both a self-absorbed egomaniac and a flaming plagiarist. His intention was to boost book sales for Fox News Trump-fluffers Jesse Watters and Mark Levin. However, his spiel of approval for these works of wingnut fiction were cut pasted from the publisher’s description of the books.

For the Jesse Watters book, Trump wrote in his proxy tweet that…

“Interspersed are his thoughtful suggestions for overcoming left-wing radicalism, maintaining American democracy, moving beyond aging hippies (like his long-suffering, loving parents), saving the world from social justice warriors and the deep state—all while smirking his way through life in only the nicest way.”

That was lifted word for word from the publisher’s description as seen here on Amazon.

For the Mark Levin book, Trump wrote in his proxy tweet that…

“In American Marxism, Levin explains how the core elements of Marxist ideology are now pervasive in American society and culture—from our schools, the press, and corporations, to Hollywood, the Democratic Party, and the Biden presidency—and how it is often cloaked in deceptive labels like “progressivism,” “democratic socialism,” “social activism,” and more.”

That was also lifted word for word from the publisher’s description as seen here on Amazon.

Nowhere in the tweets were there any quotes or other indications of attribution to another source. Trump was deliberately taking full credit for the endorsements, despite the fact that any independent observer could tell that they were obviously not written by someone with Trump’s third-grade language skills. This was just another example of Trump’s shameless dishonesty.

It should also not go without notice that Harrington’s posting of these statements by Trump are violations of Twitter’s terms of service that prohibit attempts to circumvent a suspension. (more on that here). She has posted Trump’s pseudo-tweets 42 times in just the past two weeks. Harrington’s account should be reported and suspended for her repeated breach of Twitter rules.

Many of the Trump/Harrington posts contain the same lies that got Trump suspended, and worse, led directly to a violent and deadly assault in Washington, D.C., on January 6th. Now Trump is, with the assistance of Twitter and Harrington, inciting more violence that has a strong likelihood of resulting in serious harm or death. It must stop immediately.

Chicken-Hearted Lindsey Graham Says ‘I Will Go to War for the Principles of…’ Chick fil-A?

During these turbulent times in a divided America it’s useful to recall the old and inspirational saying that “When the going gets tough, the tough chow down on fast food chicken.” At least that would be the version of it told by Republican senator and Donald Trump lapdog, Lindsey Graham.

Lindsey Graham, Donald Trump

With the fowl stench of war permeating Washington, Graham has courageously taken sides in the nation’s most contentious battle. As reported by Fox News, Notre Dame University has erupted into a bitter culture clash that threatens to tear at America’s core:

“A group of students and faculty at an elite Catholic university say they don’t want Chick-fil-A to open a restaurant on their Indiana campus because of the restaurant chain’s frequent donations to Christian groups.

“Roughly 180 University of Notre Dame students and faculty have signed an open letter calling on the school’s Campus Dining division to nix the proposed new shop.”

Fox News isn’t being entirely honest, as usual. If the problem were merely funding for Christian organizations, no one at Notre Dame, a private Catholic institution, would care. But citing the complaint as “donations to Christian groups” is a euphemistic way of disguising the fact that those donations are actually going to openly homophobic hate groups that actively campaign against LGBTQ rights.

Upon learning of the actions taken to deny Chick-fil-A a place on campus, Graham rushed to the front lines to declare that “I want everyone in South Carolina and across America to know I have Chick fil-A’s back. I hope we don’t have to, but I will go to war for the principles Chick fil-A stands for.”

Well, isn’t that special? Graham wouldn’t go to war in defense of the Capitol Police who were attacked by Donald Trump’s insurrectionists. Nor would he go to war to fight for a congressional committee to investigate the January 6th right-wing riots. He declined to fight for voting rights that his party is suppressing across the country. And he failed to hold Trump accountable during both of his impeachment trials.

In fact, few have been more subservient to Trump than Sen. Graham. He insists that “the Republican Party can’t grow” without Trump. He says that he wants to “harness the magic” of Trump’s “movement,” while ignoring his “dark side.” He has steadfastly remained joined at the lip to Trump despite Trump’s reckless incitements to violence, his seditious promulgation of the “Big Lie” that the election was stolen from him, and his responsibility for the deaths of more than 600,000 Americans due his negligent and incompetent mismanagement of the COVID pandemic.

However, Graham is now aligning himself with the QAnon caucus of the GOP. Earlier this year Rep. Lauren Boebert, along with Ted Cruz, Fox News, and others, blamed President Biden for a sauce shortage at Chick-fil-A. That may have been the opening salvo in the war that Graham is enlisting for now.

Graham’s South Carolina constituents are surely going to appreciate his determination to fight to the death on behalf of a fast food chain based in Georgia that is seeking to peddle their chicken parts at a university in Indiana. And he’s willing to make this sacrifice to the exclusion of every other crisis that America is facing. It is, after all, the only cause that he has promised to “go to war” over. Such are his priorities: Trump and Chicken.

In Predictable Perversion of Reality, Fox News Accuses Texas Democrats of ‘Insurrection’

The state of Texas is the latest to pursue a strategy of blatant voter suppression in order to reinforce their right-wing stranglehold on power. To that end their Republican dominated legislature is frantically trying to pass laws that will make it harder for communities of color and low-income (i.e. Democrats) to cast votes.

Fox News, Tucker Carlson, Q Shaman

So naturally, the GOP Ministry of Disinformation (aka Fox News) is doing its part to clamp down on free and fair elections. Fox News Senior White Nationalist, Tucker Carlson, entered into the fray on this issue with his signature faux outrage and perpetually furrowed brow. Not content to deliver his customary hate mongering tirade, Carlson reached deep into his rhetorical repertoire of sarcasm, arrogance, and dishonesty to contrive a bizarre mangling of reality.

Facing the Republican autocrats determined to tilt all future elections in their favor, the Texas House Democrats left the state in order to deny their oppressors a quorum. And in an Olympic-grade feat of projection, Carlson lambasted the Texas Democrats saying that “they committed what amounted to an act of, yes, insurrection.” He elaborated

“Democrats in the state don’t oppose voter fraud. Nor critically do they believe in multi-party politics. So they stopped the entire process cold. Now preventing lawmakers from making laws, shutting down the vote, would not seem like a defense of democracy. In fact, it would appear to be just the opposite. It would appear to be an assault on the very core of democracy, which is the legislature, the people’s house.

“Even diabolical old Vladimir Putin never attempted to do that. But according to Joe Biden, this time it’s necessary. Sometimes you’ve got to end democracy in order to save democracy. That is, if you’re not a racist. ‘Requiring people to prove their identity when they cast a vote,’ said the President, ‘is an unrelenting 21st century Jim Crow assault.’ Really? How so? Biden never explains, but he didn’t need to. His bootlickers on cable television jumped in to do the talking for him.”

Whereupon, Carlson played a few seconds of excerpts from MSNBC and CNN hosts discussing the GOP’s anti-democracy crusade. After which he complained that they didn’t explain why the Texas bill constituted voter suppression. They actually explained it thoroughly, but Carlson’s clips were purposefully chopped so as to remove all of the relevant context. Then, in a another display of projection, he refers to them as “brainless shills,” when that is a far better description of Carlson and his television flock.

Carlson’s twisted take on insurrection is typical of how he abuses language. Fox News has been denying for months that there was any insurrection at all. And now Carlson wants to be taken seriously while suggesting that a peaceful boycott of a legislative session is equivalent to the violent and deadly riots that evidence shows Donald Trump incited in Washington, D.C. on January 6th (and continues to do so). Carlson is equating lawful public servants with criminal seditionists.

Contrary to Carlson’s flagrant fallacies, the Democrats are actually exercising the liberty that democracy guarantees them. If he wants an example of subverting democracy. he can refer to how Mitch McConnell refused to even allow a vote on over 400 bills passed by the House of Representatives. Or he might weigh in on Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s totalitarian threat to arrest the Democrats when they return to the state.

Carlson also felt compelled to malign President Biden, whose speech on voting rights the day before was profoundly moving and informative. Which might explain why Fox News was the only cable news “news” network that refused to air it. Instead of a timely and newsworthy presidential address, Fox chose to cover such crucial stories as Bill Gates’ divorce, a Fox Nation promo, and the “woke” military.

That’s just more proof that Fox is most definitely not a news network. Which makes it the perfect place for a lying propagandist like Tucker Carlson to spew his factless bullpucky for an audience of glassy-eyed cult followers. Where else could he get away with idiocy like his paranoid delusion that the National Security Agency (NSA) is spying on him? Or his baseless accusation that the FBI orchestrated the January 6th insurrection? Or his claim that health authorities know that vaccines don’t work and they aren’t telling you? That’s just how Fox News rolls.

UPDATE: Fox’s Peter Doocy once again found a way to introduce the stupidest perspective possible on this matter:

Trump Mangles Math in Misquote From Biden’s Voting Rights Speech to Further His Big Lie

President Joe Biden went to Philadelphia Tuesday to deliver an address (video below) on the precarious state of democracy amidst the unsettled torrents of post-Trump America. He outlined what Congress and his administration need to do in order to preserve and strengthen what remains of the nation’s voting rights as Republicans seek to suppress election access and opportunity.

Donald Trump, Snake Tongue

After having lost decisively, Donald Trump has persisted in his attempts to malign America’s electoral system as corrupt and rigged to steal the election from him. It’s a campaign that is closely aligned with the aspirations of foreign enemies like Russia to undermine faith in democracy.

Contrary to his cheesy MAGA slogan, Trump really hates America and said as much earlier Tuesday in a statement calling some of the nations greatest and most iconic cities (Philadelphia, Detroit, Milwaukee, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Oakland, and Baltimore) among “the most corrupt cities in the Country.” And you can add New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle to his list. You can’t love America and hate the places where most of its citizens live.

Meanwhile, Trump and his pathetic legal team have failed utterly to make a convincing case for his election fraud fantasies. But that’s only because they haven’t been able to come up with a single shred of evidence to support their ludicrous claims. That, however, hasn’t stopped Trump from peddling the “Big Lie” at every opportunity. And today’s speech by Biden was no exception.

Trump released a statement through his spokes shill, Liz Harrington, who promptly posted it on Twitter (which Trump is not permitted to do because he was banned for repeatedly propagating lies, and for which Harrington should also be banned). Trump babbled that…

“Biden just said 150 people voted in the 2020 Presidential Election (Scam!). On the assumption that he meant 150 million people, and based on the fact that I got 75 million+++, that would mean that Biden got 75 million votes, which is 6 million votes less than what they said they got. So what is that all about? Are they already conceding 6 million votes?”

The problem with Trump’s statement is that he misquoted Biden. The actual line from the speech said that “All told, more than 150 [million] Americans of every age, every race, every background, exercised their right to vote.” Trump left out the words “more than.” Consequently, his math is completely off. With the correct quote – and also correcting Trump’s dishonest claim of “75 million+++” votes (it was actually only 74.2 million), there are no missing votes and nothing is being conceded.

Trump should be familiar with the concept of rounding off numbers considering he has done so illegally for decades to either inflate his personal wealth or lower his tax burden. So this is just another typically dishonest ploy by Trump to fudge the numbers in order to gain some personal benefit. And luckily for him, his cult followers are dumb enough to believe it.

Trump didn’t bother to comment on anything else in Biden’s speech, even though some of it was directed squarely at him. For instance, Biden went straight after Trump’s “Big Lie” by noting the unprecedented scrutiny that this election received:

“With recount after recount after recount, court case after court case, The 2020 election was the most scrutinized election ever in American history. Challenge after challenge brought to local and state election officials, state legislatures, state and federal courts, even to the United States Supreme Court not once, but twice.

“More than 80 judges, including those appointed by my predecessor, heard the arguments. In every case neither cause nor evidence was found to undermine the national achievement of administering the historic election in the face of such extraordinary challenges. Audits, recounts were conducted in Arizona, Wisconsin. In Georgia it was recounted three times.

“It’s clear. For those who challenge the results or integrity of the election, no other election has ever been held under such scrutiny or high standards. The “Big Lie” was just that – a big lie.

“The 2020 election, it’s not hyperbole to suggest, is the most examined in the fullest expression of the will of the people in the history of this nation. This should be celebrated. It’s the example of America at its best. But instead, we continue to see an example of human nature at its worst. Something darker, more sinister.

“In America if you lose, you accept the results. We follow the Constitution. You try again. You don’t call facts “fake” and then try to bring down the American experiment just because you’re unhappy. That’s not statesmanship. That’s not statesmanship, it’s selfishness.”

Biden was actually going pretty easy on Trump. Trump’s reckless, incendiary, and brazenly un-American behavior is certainly not statesmanship. But it’s closer to treason than mere selfishness. A better example of patriotism would be for Congress to pass the “For the People Act,” and the “John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act,” as Biden implored them to do in his speech. And every America should do the same by contacting their senators and letting them how crucial this is to our country’s future.

Tucker Carlson’s Insane Rant that Democrats Are Plotting to Censor Your Text Messages

STOP THE MADNESS! Fox News is demonstrating both their full blown devotion to the Cult of Trump and their impotence with regard to managing the worst purveyors of flagrantly dishonest propaganda and conspiracy crackpottery that populate their network. And both of those obscene circumstances come in the form of perpetually ticked off and furrow-browed Tucker Carlson.

Fox News. Tucker Carlson

On Monday night Carlson delivered another of hallmark harangues. The subject of this one was an atrocity that exists only in his diseased brain. Stepping off the ledge even further into dementia territory, Carlson is now alleging that Democrats are plotting to censor your text messages and other private communications. The very first paragraph was a study in professional bullshittery:

“Last March, as the first big clusters of coronavirus cases started to appear in this country, media executives in Silicon Valley coordinated with officials in Washington to determine how much the public was allowed to know about the growing epidemic that was killing them.”

So Carlson is alleging as fact that there was a convocation of media and techies to coordinate a blueprint for abridging freedom of speech. As usual, he doesn’t bother to present any proof of this gathering, but that’s only because there isn’t any. He went on to say that…

“Today we learned the Biden administration considers censorship is applicable to private speech as well. What you say in private, when you’re alone with your phone, you won’t be able to say or read what you want because the DNC plans to control – and apparently have the ability to control – the flow the information you receive on your phone.”

OMG! According to Carlson the Democratic National Committee can – and is – monitoring your text messages and is intent on censoring what you read and write. That would be horrifying, but for the fact that it’s a claim that isn’t remotely associated with reality. Carlson based the whole thing on an excerpt from an article in Politico that said…

“Biden allied groups, including the Democratic National Committee, are planning to engage fact-checkers more aggressively, and work with SMS carriers to dispel misinformation about vaccines that is sent over social media and text messages.”

Notice that there is nothing in that sentence that asserts any attempt to monitor or censor anything at all. The article was referring to Democratic organizations having ready responses to the potentially deadly lies being peddled by Republican operatives via mass SMS messaging. Liars like Carlson are understandably frightened by fact-checkers and initiatives aimed at disseminating the truth. Politico notes – and Carlson failed to acknowledge – that the goal is to counter right-wing misinformation. For example…

“Turning Point USA has also sent out SMS messages urging people to sign petitions on the topic [of vaccinations]. In one message, viewed by POLITICO, [TUSA Chief Charlie] Kirk contends, ‘Biden is sending goons DOOR-TO-DOOR to make you take a Covid-19 vaccine.'”

That, of course, is a blatant and dangerous lie. It’s fear mongering that has been all over Fox News for the past couple of weeks. And speaking of misinformation, Carlson is engaging in a new rebranding of “alternative facts” wherein he proclaims that “misinformation very often is factually true.” However, anyone with a smidgen of cognitive coherence knows that, by definition, misinformation is literally false. Unfortunately, that standard of cognition would exclude Carlson, who has his own definition of misinformation, and he exploits it to spread more irrational fear about life-saving vaccines:

“Misinformation is anything the Biden administration doesn’t want you to know – including, for example, how effective the COVID vaccines actually are, and what the potential side effects from them might be from taking them.”

Carlson went on to reveal his ignorance of virology – or deliberate deception – by asserting that vaccinated people have no reason to worry about unvaccinated people. “So why is official Washington so angry,” Carlson asks, “at the people who won’t get vaccinated? How precisely do they propose a threat? It makes you think that maybe none of this is really about COVID. Maybe it’s about social control.” No, Tucker, it makes you think that the more available hosts there are, the more the virus can mutant into variants that could put everyone, including vaccinated people, at risk.

Carlson is coming full circle and exposing his true agenda. It is all about “social control,” and his ludicrous claim that “Your private conversations will be controlled by the DNC.” Which he still has failed to affirm with any shred of evidence. But then, nobody expects Carlson to deal in facts, not even his Fox News or their lawyers who defended him court by arguing that no reasonable person would believe anything he says.

Peter Doocy of Fox News Bends Over for Another Well Deserved Spanking From Jen Psaki

There really seems to be a streak of masochism in many Republicans and conservative media shills. They have no apparent limit to the amount of abuse they can take after making ridiculous remarks or idiotic inquiries. And Peter Doocy of Fox News is the best example of this perverse personality flaw, particularly during his attempted “gotcha” questions for Press Secretary Jen Psaki.

Fox News, Peter Doocy

Doocy recently got creamed by Psaki when he went off about “Critical Weenie Theory.” It happened again when he tried to make an issue of Olympic hopeful Gwen Berry protesting social injustice. He also did it while criticizing Vice-President Kamala Harris for going to the border after months of complaining that she hadn’t. And then there was the time he sought to turn the origins of the COVID virus into a contrived melodrama.

On Monday morning Doocy was at it again. During the White House daily press briefing, Doocy sought to catch Psaki off guard by dissecting the language of a previous statement in order to suggest some sort of policy failure regarding the recent protests in Cuba (video below):

Doocy: On Cuba, you’re talking today about how some of these protesters were inspired by the people exhausted with the government. Why is it that yesterday the State Department was saying that this is all happening out of concern about rising COVID cases?
Psaki: I would say first that the protests were just happening yesterday. We’re still assessing what is motivating and driving all of the individuals who came to the streets. But we know that we say exhaustion, that the manner by which the people of Cuba are governed, that can cover a range of issues. whether it’s economic suppression, media suppression, lack of access to health and medical supplies, including vaccines, there are a range of reasons and voices we’re hearing from people on the ground who are protesting.
Doocy: So when these protestors are yelling ‘freedom’ and ‘enough,’ there are people in the administration who think they are saying ‘freedom from rising COVID cases’?
Psaki: Again, I would say that people are out there in the streets protesting and complaining about the lack of access to economic prosperity, to the medical supplies they need, to a life they deserve to live. That can take on a range of meanings. There’s a global pandemic right now. Most people in that country don’t have access to vaccines. That’s certainly something we’d love to help with.

You have to give Doocy credit for persistence. After getting smacked down with the first response to his pedantic question, he asks the very same question again, but modifies it to make even dumber. It doesn’t take much intellect to recognize that the Cuban people want “freedom” from an oppressive regime whose failures are putting their lives at risk. But it may be too much for Doocy and Fox News, who even complained about a New York Times story that referred to “Shouting ‘Freedom’ and other anti-government slogans,”was as an attack on freedom. Obviously, chanting “freedom” is staunchly anti-government if you’re doing it in a country that’s been run by dictators for decades.

For the record, the Cuban protesters were, in part, protesting the government response to the COVID pandemic that is surging in their country, along with other issues touching on economics and liberty. The government has badly mismanaged their vaccination program where only 15% of the population is vaccinated. Even Doocy’s Fox News colleagues reported the protests as being driven by “various government shortcomings including […] medicine shortages.” So Psaki was right both times she answered.

Nevertheless, Doocy will show up again tomorrow to frame another question in manner that only makes him look desperate to zing Psaki. And he will remain blissfully ignorant of the fact that he simply doesn’t have the mental dexterity to vanquish his far superior foe. At some point Fox News should show some mercy and take him off of this beat. But then, who would they give it to? It’s not like they have a stable of intellectual giants waiting to be called up.

Tucker Carlson is ‘Pissed’ at Fox News for Not Backing His Lies About NSA Spying on Him

Are you ready for the food fight of the decade? There appears to be some simmering tensions in the ivory tower home to Fox News. Their top rated host, Tucker Carlson, is reported to be “furious” with the network executives because they aren’t as stupid as his viewers and refuse to believe the idiotic ravings that emanate from his steaming conspiracy factory.

Fox News, Tucker Carlson, Bullshit Factory

CNN is reporting that Carlson is hopping mad at the propaganda network’s honchos “for not vigorously defending him amid his evidence-free claims that the National Security Agency spied on him in a conspiracy to destroy his TV show.” One source said that “right now he’s ‘extra pissed.'” This budding feud was ignited when Carlson used his Fox pulpit to disseminate a bizarre allegation that he is being watched by the feds:

“Yesterday, we heard from a whistleblower within the U.S. government who reached out to warn us that the NSA – the National Security Agency – is monitoring our electronic communications and is planning to leak them in an attempt to take this show off the air.”

That paranoid delusion is preposterous on so many levels. Firstly, the NSA has better things to do than try to get Carlson’s lame show canceled. Secondly, if they were monitoring him, that would indicate that he, or whoever he was communicating with, was a foreign agent and a national security threat. Thirdly, contrary to Carlson’s embarrassingly stupid musings, there are many other sources who could have allegedly “leaked” his emails to the press, including his producers, hackers, and those he was emailing.

The absence of any comment or support by Carlson’s bosses at Fox News is significant. An allegation that the NSA is spying on one of their primetime hosts would cause any other news organization to object strenuously and demand an explanation and an immediate halt to such unlawful surveillance. But Fox News has said nothing after repeated requests for comment.

That is a clear vote of “no confidence” in Carlson. Which shouldn’t surprise anyone after their own lawyers defended him in a defamation case, successfully arguing that “given Mr. Carlson’s reputation, any reasonable viewer ‘arrive[s] with an appropriate amount of skepticism’ about the statements he makes.” In other words, Carlson’s reputation is so wretched that no reasonable person would believe anything he says.

What’s more, Carlson’s has crossed the line of bombastic babbling many times before. For instance, he baselessly accused the FBI of orchestrating the January 6th insurrection. He claimed that health authorities know that vaccines don’t work and they aren’t telling you. And his recent exposure as an anonymous source who tattled to the press about his Fox News confederates could be his motivation for this NSA bullpucky. He may just be trying to shift attention away from his own betrayal to some imaginary government evildoers. However, in his own defense Carlson said that…

“I’m not mad at anyone at Fox. If I was, I’d say so. I’m mad at you [CNN] for lying relentlessly. What a loathsome person you are. Please print that.”

Well, CNN did print that. And it’s notable that Carlson, despite his impotent indignation, wasn’t able to refute anything that CNN reported about Fox News failing to back up his “bombshell” allegations. When your lies are too ludicrous for Fox News to get behind, a rational and honest person might want to take some time to reconsider. But with “rational” and “honest” being the operative words, that leaves Tucker Carlson out.

Wait, What? Did Trump Just Concede that Reports of ‘No Evidence of Voter Fraud’ is a Fact?

Donald Trump continues to be fixated on his “Big Lie” that incited the January 6th insurrection in Washington, D.C. His obsession with these dangerously inflammatory allegations that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him remains the focus of his public commentaries. It’s the same insanity he’s been dispensing for months. And the madness that he’s spreading is almost certainly going to lead to further violence.

Donald Trump, Insane, Straight Jacket

On Saturday Trump issued another of his ego-soaked press releases. And his spokeswoman, Liz Harrington, obediently posted it on Twitter, a violation of Twitter’s terms of service for which she should be suspended. The message was a tedious reprise of the very same tantrums Trump has been throwing for months but which, for some reason, his glassy-eyed cult followers never seem to tire of.

However, this statement began with an awkwardly phrased assertion that serves as an inadvertent admission. Trump wrote that it’s…

“Very interesting, funny, yet sad, that every time I read or hear a story in the Lamestream Media about the 2020 Presidential Election Scam, it always is preceded by the fact that, “while no evidence of voter fraud is available,” or statements to that effect, this could not be more incorrect or “fake.” Massive evidence has been accumulated which shows voter fraud at a level that is virtually beyond comprehension.”

So Trump is now conceding that all of these stories about alleged election fraud are “preceded by the fact” that, “no evidence of voter fraud is available”? That’s good to know.

Of course, Trump isn’t really acknowledging reality. Just like he stubbornly fails to accept the reality of his humiliating election loss to Joe Biden. He’s just incapable of forming a coherent thought. And that is evident in the rest of this press release that purports to show that “Massive evidence has been accumulated which shows voter fraud at a level that is virtually beyond comprehension.” He must be keeping all of that “massive evidence” locked up at his Mar-All-Ego resort on Florida. And what is “beyond comprehension” is that anyone would believe his ravings.

Right off the bat Trump claims that there was something amiss with 35,000 votes in Georgia. But while says to “check out the recent story,” he doesn’t bother to provide a link or even cite the publisher. That may be because it comes from a single – and utterly disreputable – source, the ultra-rightist Federalist. And then Trump says to “watch what is happening in Arizona, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania,” where there is nothing notable happening at all, other than some Kool-Aid drinking Trumpists trying unsuccessfully to manufacture “proof” of election fraud.

Following that, Trump whined about “Republicans in name only (RINOS)” who he believes are deliberately covering up the “corruption” of Democrats, for which he is still unable to offer even a sliver of evidence. Nevertheless, he babbles about the “fake” “Mainstream Media” and insists that “People and facts are coming out at a level which can only be called ‘fast and furious.'” But the only actions coming out “fast and furious” are investigations into criminal election interference by Trump and his anti-democracy minions. Those probes are currently ongoing in Arizona, Michigan, and Georgia, so far.

In addition to Saturday’s press release, Trump also called in to Fox News for his regular tongue-bathing by Maria Bartiromo. The shamelessly sycophantic Bartiromo let Trump ramble on about the shooting of violent insurrectionist Ashli Babbitt. Naturally, Trump suggests that the shooting was a Democratic assassination plot of an “innocent, wonderful, incredible woman.” that originated in the office of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer:

When the subject came up about the House Select Committee that is being assembled to investigate his January insurrection, Bartiromo approached it tenderly, leaving out any remnant of context or facts:

Bartiromo: It may very well be that Kevin McCarthy is called to testify under oath. Do you want to tell us what took place on that phone call?
Trump: No, I don’t have to because Kevin will speak and I’m sure Kevin will be very good from that standpoint. But I will tell you this: If they’re gonna do this very partisan investigation because they couldn’t get support to do a straight investigation, a big part of that investigation is the reason people went to Washington, and that’s because of the fraudulent presidential election of 2020. And that has to be a part of it.

And everybody that got there, I think, those people want to talk about the reason they were there. Because to me, that’s the biggest crime of all. We had a corrupt election. We had a rigged election. We had a stolen election. And that’s why you had over a million people march to Washington.

Notice that Trump, who ordinarily won’t shut up for two seconds, doesn’t want to talk about what happened in his phone call with McCarthy. That was McCarthy’s call for help during the Capitol siege that Trump refused saying that, “I guess these people are more upset about the election then you are.” And McCarthy wasn’t particularly interested in talking about it either when asked by Chris Wallace of Fox News.

What’s more, Trump correctly observed that the Select Committee was only established “because they couldn’t get support to do a straight investigation.” To be clear, it was Republicans who refused to support the bipartisan commission, despite the fact that Democrats agreed to all of their requests.

Finally, Trump goes into his all-fiction song and dance about the “rigged, corrupt, stolen” election. And to add some new spice, Trump is now applying his infamously deficient math skills to claim that “over a million people” participated on Insurrection Day. Which is another inadvertent admission that the rioters were his supporters, not Antifa or Black Lives Matter, as Trump and his Fox News apologists have been trying so desperately to spin.

All of this contributes to the “massive evidence” that Trump and Fox News are depraved and unrepentant liars. Although on Trump’s part there may also be some measure of metal illness producing his hysterical delusions and paranoia. And their brazen dishonesty is creating an environment of peril for democracy and America. Not that they care. They have already killed more than 600,000 American with their purposeful lies about the COVID pandemic. So what’s a little nation destroying after that?

SRSLY? GOP Senator Vows to Fight Back Against ‘The Left’s War on…’ Meat?

The election of Joe Biden not only sent Donald Trump packing back to Mar-All-Ego, it also launched a months long state of desperation by the Trumpified Republican Party that has been utterly incapable of attaching their manufactured “scandals” to the new President.

Donald Trump, Republican, GOP

Try as they might, the GOP has failed miserably at tarnishing Biden’s image or his broad approval by the public at large. They have floated conspiracies about vaccine outreach programs. They have fear mongered about Critical Race Theory. They have even attacked the romance of the Bidens 44 year-long marriage.

On Saturday Republican Senator Joni Ernst took another swing at muddying up Democrats. She posted a tweet warning her followers about the horror of the alleged “Left’s War on Meat,” an altercation that exists only in her diseased and paranoid mind.

Does Ernst really believe that this is the issue that will galvanize voters and motivate them to turn out for Republican meat saviors? Well, having observed the intellectual state of the GOP lately, she might be on to something.

However, there is simply no truth to the claim that Democrats are waging a war on meat. In fact, they are as enamored of burgers and bacon and McNuggets as any Republican. And there aren’t any bills in Congress to ban or limit meat production or consumption. Although there was a previous attempt by GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-QAnon) to peddle a ludicrous lie about Biden proposing a 90% cut in meat from America’s diet. That, of course, never happened. So where is Ernst’s evidence of a war?

Despite the fact that she is battling a mirage, Ernst has introduced a bill to fight back against her imaginary foes. The TASTEE Act is a bizarre and unnecessary piece of legislative nonsense that states that “An agency, or a contractor of an agency that provides food services to a dining facility of the agency, may not establish a policy that prohibits a dining facility of the agency from serving a particular type of food.”

Really? So an agency cafeteria would be prohibited from establishing their own menus? Would they be forced to serve every type of food, whether anyone wanted to eat it or not? Would this bill take precedence over the cuisine preferences by patrons? And isn’t this the sort of federal government interference in commerce that the GOP usually opposes?

The article that Ernst’s tweet linked to supports her fear of meat discrimination, up to a point. It began by asking “Have you noticed that meat is always the ‘culprit’? Obesity. Environmental degradation. Cancer. Animal abuse. Climate change.” Which is a pretty good question, considering that meat actually is responsible for obesity, environmental degradation, cancer, etc. And it is also, according to Forbes, a prominent contributor to the climate change crisis. Plus, the article also made this rather salient point:

“Michigan State University’s 2021 Food Literacy and Engagement poll found that 41 percent of Americans were likely to buy faux meat that looks and tastes like real meat. That’s up from only 33 percent in 2018.”

So consumers are trending toward meat alternatives in big way. Why is Ernst against free market capitalism? The American people appear to be capable of making their own dietary choices without Ernst or the feds mandating menus by law. But more to the point, Why is Ernst ginning up alleged “atrocities” by Democrats that have no basis in reality. Like the Impossible Burger, it seems that Ernst is taking a big bite out of Impossible Facts – her own family recipe of alternative facts.

At Trump Insurrection Convention GOP Rep Says to Prepare to Sacrifice Your Lives

If anyone thought that the deadly insurrection that took place on January 6th in Washington, D.C., was a transitory affair that concluded when the rioters were driven from the Capitol, think again. That was just the opening salvo in a battle that is still ongoing. And it is a battle that Donald Trump and his Republican confederates intend to exploit for as long as possible, causing as much harm as they can. Never mind how delusional they have become about all of it.

Donald Trump Rally, Sieg Heil

As evidence of the Trumpian right’s determination to wage another civil war, witness the remarks by Rep. Mo Brooks (R-QAnon) at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Dallas, Texas, on Friday. His speech was a call to arms to the CPACers, aimed at whipping up their already seething hostility and hatred for fellow Americans (i.e. Democrats and liberals) that he, and most other CPAC speakers, viciously and falsely malign as Marxists and communists (which they couldn’t define if their lives depended on it). Brooks ranted that…

“Our choice is simple. We can surrender and submit, or we can fight back as our ancestors have done. Think for a moment about our ancestors who fought at Valley Forge. They didn’t fight the British, they fought for survival. Twelve thousand Continental soldiers arrived. Five, six months later two thousand had died.

“Think about what they went through. Burying your brothers, your fathers, your sons. Ten to fifteen a day, every day for six months. That’s the kind of sacrifice that we have to think about. And I ask you: are you willing to fight for America? Are you willing to fight for America? Well, the choice is simple. This is how you fight for America. This is what America needs you to do.”

When the inevitable violence that this sort of rhetoric incites comes about, Brooks can’t pretend that he was speaking metaphorically. He is drawing a straight line from wartime events that resulted in thousands of fatalities, to the specific actions he is imploring his audience to take. It is not unlike his remarks on January 6th prior to the assault on the Capitol when Brooks said that “Today is the day American patriots start taking down names and kicking ass.” This is the guy that Trump has endorsed for the Senate in Alabama.

Make no mistake, violent insurrection is the goal of Trump and the anti-American, QAnon seditionists of the Republican Party. The Justice Department has recognized the potential dangers that are being fueled by this toxic pseudo-populism. And the nation must remain vigilant and determined to insure that democracy prevails over the domestic terrorism and totalitarianism of the today’s Trumpified GOP.
