Text Messages By Hannity and Others at Fox News Prove Their Corrupt Collusion with Trump’s GOP

The uncommonly tight integration of Fox News to the Republican Party has been conspicuously apparent for years. It was, in fact, its intended purpose when it was concocted by a right-wing media baron (Rupert Murdoch) and a GOP media consultant (Roger Ailes). There was never any question that it would serve to advance the goals of the ultra-conservative cabal that built it and populated its program schedule.

Fox News, Sean Hannity

However, it recent years that political partnership grew even closer as Fox News fused ever more tightly to the personality cult of Donald Trump. The worshipful devotion to the former reality TV game show host, and twice impeached crime family boss, was central to the editorial slant of every story Fox produced. And the unflinching faithfulness exhibited by the network’s apostles of Trumpism was on display 24/7.

RELATED: Texts Show Sean Hannity Was Taking Orders From Trump Team to Steal the Election

That wholly unethical relationship has now been affirmed in the words of the Trump disciples and their interactions with his closest associates. CNN has published text messages that were exchanged between Trump’s former chief of staff, Mark Meadows, and numerous Fox News Trump-fluffers. According to CNN

“Former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and Fox’s Sean Hannity exchanged more than 80 text messages between Election Day 2020 and Joe Biden’s January 2021 inauguration, communications that show Hannity’s evolution from staunch supporter of former President Donald Trump’s election lies to being “fed up” with the “lunatics” hurting Trump’s cause in the days before January 6.” […]

“While the logs show Meadows communicating with multiple Fox personalities, as well as a number of journalists from other organizations, Hannity stands out with 82 messages.” […]

“In addition to Hannity, Fox’s Laura Ingraham, Tucker Carlson, Maria Bartiromo and Brian Kilmeade all sent messages to Meadows as well.”

The perverse affection that Hannity has for Trump stands out, even among a pack of rabid Trumpists. His communications with Meadows reveal their scheming to orchestrate Trump’s occupation of the White House.

Following the election, Hannity and Meadows continued pursuing the “Big Lie” that the election was “rigged,” and sought to manufacture evidence of voting fraud. That was evident in this exchange…

Hannity: I’ve had my team digging into the numbers. There is no way Biden got these numbers. Just mathematically impossible. It’s so sad for this country they can pull this off in 2020. We need a major breakthrough, a video, something.
Meadows: You’re exactly right. Working on breakthrough.
Hannity: Ok. Would be phenomenal.

Hannity also disclosed that he had produced an advertisement for Trump. “I was screaming about no ads from Labor Day on,” Hannity complained. “I made my own they never ran it.” Shortly thereafter Meadows asked Hannity for the phone number of Fox’s CEO so that he could talk to her secretly. “Send me Suzanne Scott’s number if you can,” Meadows texted. “I can call through switchboard but that makes it a bigger deal.”

Hannity urged Meadows to engage more with Fox News. “You also need to spend at least half your time doing business with us.” Presumably so that he could get more pithy political assessments like this: “I am not particularly optimistic for the future. Biden is a semi conscious corpse, and he will be controlled by a very radical left wing element.”

RELATED: Maria Bartiromo Barks Out Bizarro Rant on Fox News About Biden Seeing Putin as a – Partner?

Joining Hannity in this text-fest was his Fox colleague, Maria Bartiromo. She actually texted Meadows the questions she intended to ask Trump prior to her post-election interview. Bartiromo wrote…

“Hi the public wants to know he will fight this. They want to hear a path to victory. & he’s in control. 1Q You’ve said MANY TIMES THIS ELECTION IS RIGGED… And the facts are on your side. Let’s start there. What are the facts? Characterize what took place here.”

And this is the nearly verbatim question that Bartiromo asked Trump…

“Mr. President, you have said many times that this election was rigged, that there was much fraud, and the facts are on your side. Let’s start there. Please go through the facts, characterize what took place.”

These texts are further proof that Fox “News” is not – and never has been – a news network. They are a propaganda machine for Trump and the GOP. If Rachel Maddow had been discovered coordinating with President Biden and Democrats in this fashion, MSNBC would have fired her immediately. But don’t hold your breath expecting Hannity, Bartiromo, or anyone else at Fox being fired, reprimanded, or even tenderly slapped on the wrist. It’s more likely they will get a raise and a promotion.

Trump Spokes-Shill Retweets Satirical Demand that ‘If We Can’t MAGA, Stay Home in November’

In the Wackified World of Donald Trump, the line between reality and farce has been irreparably blurred. Having set records for lying that will never be challenged, and establishing behavior that would embarrass a seven year old, the former reality TV game show host and twice impeached loser has permanently lowered the standards for participation in the allegedly modern Republican Party.

Donald Trump Pacifier Fox

Where it was once possible to differentiate between news and satire, it is now frighteningly easy to accept as fact the most inane and bizarre reports attributed to Trump. After all, Trump has already humiliated himself by professing his belief that stealth fighters are actually invisible, and that windmills cause cancer, and that we should nuke hurricanes, and that George Washington’s Army took over airports, and that injecting bleach will cure COVID. Those are just a few of the indicators of the cognitive fitness of a self-described “stable genius.”

RELATED: Trump Does a Great Job of Proving How Pitifully Stupid He and His Cult Followers Are

On Friday morning Trump’s Twitter ban defying spokes-shill, Liz Harrington, provided additional evidence of his mental fracture, as if any more proof were needed. Harrington retweeted a post by a Twitter satirist who mocks Trump’s “Save America” messaging. The humorous version of a Trumpian statement said that…

“If the tough and freedom-loving candidates I’ve endorsed for Congress lose their primaries this summer, I invite all the Great MAGA Patriots to BOYCOTT the midterm elections in November. There’s no point in GOP majorities if Mitch McConnell is calling all the shots. Apparently he’s saying my candidates are crazy and unelectable, but he’s the biggest RINO in history! So we don’t want a Senate full of weak losers like Mike Pence, Mitt Romney, and their Menopausal Friends who won’t say the election was RIGGED. So if we can’t MAGA, stay home in November!”

For the record, the original tweet was posted by Halfway Post, a Twitter user whose profile says that they do “Dada journalism, satire & liberal comedy by @DashMacIntyre. I don’t report the facts, I improve them. My book: ‘SATIRE IN THE TRUMP YEARS'”. So it is, by definition, comedy, not disinformation.

The problem with Trump having his mouthpiece post this comical comment, in the way that she did, is that there is no way to ascertain that it is satire. It reeks of genuine Trumpiness. What part of that tweet could not be credibly attributed to Trump? His criticism of McConnell, Pence, Romney, and other “RINOs”, along with his bitter misogyny and fixation on the 2020 election, are hallmarks of Trump’s rancid rhetoric. In fact, it is such an authentic recreation that it mirrors things that Trump has actually said. For instance…

OH NOES! Trump Threatens that If Election Fraud Isn’t Solved ‘Republicans Will Not Be Voting”

Harrington’s caption of the satirical tweet merely said “Oh look, they’re spreading disinformation again.” She didn’t say who “they” are, or even what the disinformation was. Anyone not paying close attention might easily come away thinking that the retweet was actually Trump’s message. And when have Trump’s cult followers ever been known (or able) to pay close attention to anything?

It’s also hysterically ironic whenever Trump or his flunkies dare to accuse others of spreading disinformation. That’s Trump’s thing. He does it virtually every day. And like other cult leaders before him, his devotees believe every word of it. If we’re lucky they will believe that this tweet is Trump’s actual comment and take his advice. And since he’s said the same thing in all seriousness before, they would still be fulfilling his demands.

WATCH: Marjorie Taylor Greene Freaks Out When Asked a Few Questions By CNN’s Jim Acosta

QAnon representative Marjorie Taylor Greene testified this week in a court case challenging her reelection campaign on the basis of her having participated in an insurrection. Her testimony was riddled with blatant dishonesty, much of it in the form of claims to not remember things she actually said.

Click here to Tweet this article

Marjorie Taylor Greene, QAnon

Green was reported to have texted Donald Trump’s former chief of staff Mark Meadows, asking him about the prospect of declaring martial law in order to prevent Joe Biden from being inaugurated as president. She insisted that she had no recollection of the text. Although it’s difficult to believe that someone could discuss something like that and forget about it.

RELATED: Comedy Cop Marjorie Taylor Greene Reports Jimmy Kimmel to Capitol Police for Telling a Joke

On Thursday Jim Acosta of CNN sought to get Green to search her memory and clarify her remarks. He approached her and directly, though politely, asked her about the gaps in her recollection. That lead to the following exchange (full video below):

Acosta: I guess you also said that you don’t recall calling Nancy Pelosi a traitor? Is that right? You don’t seem to recall a lot. What’s going on there?
Greene: You know Jim, you have a show, and in all fairness, you try to present this image of me to your viewers and it’s just really not correct.
Acosta: Well, we’re just trying to get some answers. Did you send a text asking for the president to declare martial law? Did you do that?
Greene: I, you know, I don’t recall those being my text messages. But have you read the text message that is, that you’re referring to?
Acosta: I did. It was misspelled, but it seemed to say that you were calling for martial law.
Greene: Cause it actually says, well actually it says if you read it correctly, Jim, your problem is you’re lying again right now, it says, ‘I do not know’ on those things. That’s what that text message says. You know, why don’t you be honest?
Acosta: Why even bring it up? Why bring up martial law?
Greene: You know, your problem is you’re just one of those liars on television and people hate it. They can’t stand the liars on television.
Acosta: You’re the one saying, ‘I don’t recall, I don’t recall, I don’t recall, I don’t recall.’

RELATED: GASLIGHTING: Marjorie Taylor Greene and Fox News Shamelessly Lie About Trump Insurrection Texts

What Greene is accusing Acosta of lying about is unclear. He didn’t make any statements. He was merely asking questions and giving Greene an opportunity to explain herself. It’s called journalism. Clearly upset, Greene demanded that Acosta read the text verbatim, which he agreed to do. But that didn’t stop Greene from badgering him about it while he was looking it up. Here is the actual text that Green sent to Meadows…

“In our private chat with only members, several are saying the only way to save our Republic is for Trump to call for Marshall (sic) law. I don’t know on those things. I just wanted you to tell him. They stole this election. We all know. They will destroy our country next. Please tell him to declassify as much as possible so we can go after Biden and anyone else!”

After having been confronted with the evidence that she explicitly raised the prospect of martial law, Green got even more perturbed. She seemed to believe that having said she was ignorant about “those things” negates that she suggested it. Then she spent the rest of the encounter calling Acosta a liar, despite the fact that he still had not asserted anything about her. He was still just asking her to answer a few reasonable questions. But that was apparently too much for her and she lashed out saying that…

“When you want to be honest and actually want to talk about me as a real person and present me fairly. then I’ll talk to you. But until then I don’t want to have anything to do with you.”

Then Greene walked away, still refusing answer any questions and repeatedly accusing Acosta of harassing her, even though, if anything, he was exceedingly mild mannered. Greene’s performance indicated just how frightened she is of anyone seeking the truth. And what’s surprising about this affair, other than her comically psychotic behavior, is that she posted the video of it as if it presented her in a positive light. No doubt she will soon be on Fox News to whine to Sean Hannity or Tucker Carlson about how miserably she was treated.

Trump Spokeswoman Thrills QAnon Crowd with Call for Mass Arrests of Imaginary Election Riggers

The “Big Lie” that the 2020 election was “rigged” continues to be the top priority of Donald Trump’s endless crusade for constant attention, blind adoration, and the financial fleecing of his faithful flock. It’s almost all he talks about at his traveling cult rallies and staged, right-wing interviews.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump, Fox News, QAnon

So naturally Trump’s spokes-shill and Twitter proxy, Liz Harrington, is hammering away at the same illusory issues. Harrington recently spoke at the “Patriots Arise” conference in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, a QAnon affiliated affair where crackpot conspiracies are welcomed with enthusiastic glee. According to reporting by Vice, Harrington painted a frightening picture of what would occur if they failed to address the fictitious election fraud that her boss is so obsessed with:

“It’s so important to have accountability and have that trust restored because otherwise you’re going to get more of it. There’s no accountability? Yep. They’re gonna start arresting political opponents. They’re gonna start throwing political dissidents in jail. They’re going to parade people and interrogate you for your free speech.”

OMG! Harrington is foretelling a dystopian future of oppressive, police-state tactics to clamp down on innocent Trumpists who are only worried that democracy has been subverted by communists, or Satanists, or whoever is the cartoon villain of the moment. Never mind that they have been unable to produce a shred of evidence of any election rigging cabal despite trying for more than a year and half.

RELATED: Trump Posts ‘Foolproof’ Evidence that the Election Was ‘Rigged’ But it’s Only Proof for Fools

However, Harrington has a solution to avoid this harrowing holocaust of political prisoners. And ironically it is centered on implementing a campaign of mass political arrests:

“You think it’s gonna be better next time? You really think if there’s no arrests made from 2020, if there’s no real exposing of it and getting these people and holding them accountable, you really think they won’t do it again?”

That’s right. If there are no arrests made of the perpetrators who don’t exist, then what never happened in the first place is all going to happen again. Harrington told Vice that “Anyone who violated election laws should be charged. They could start with those who committed election fraud felonies on camera.”

RELATED: WTF? Tucker Carlson Mocks Biden for Believing that He Won in 2020, Which, of Course, He Did

Harrington is absolutely right about charging election law violators. Although the biggest problem with her proposal, from her perspective, is that nearly all of the relatively few cases of election fraud so far uncovered were committed by Republicans and Trump supporters. In some cases the criminals were Trump’s closest associates, including his former White House chief of staff, Mark Meadows.

RELATED: BUSTED! Donald Trump Jr Texted Mark Meadows With Illegal Schemes to Overturn the Election

Harrington’s demand that mass arrests be undertaken for crimes that she can’t prove took place is a gross subversion of justice. But the principle of holding actual wrongdoers accountable is honorable and appropriate. Hopefully the Justice Department is listening and will begin to hand down indictments for Trump and his accomplices who tried to orchestrate a violent coup. There is already ample evidence of those crimes – and many others – in the public record. Because, as Harrington helpfully pointed out, “if there’s no real exposing of it and getting these people and holding them accountable, you really think they won’t do it again?”

REALLY? Tucker Carlson Accuses Kevin McCarthy of Being ‘a Puppet of the Democratic Party’

Kevin McCarthy appears to be determined to undermine his chances of ever becoming Speaker of the House. This week it was reported that he had conversations with fellow Republicans after the January 6th insurrection wherein he revealed that he had considered urging Donald Trump to resign. It was reported that he told Rep. Liz Cheney that “I’ve had it with this guy. What he did is unacceptable. Nobody can defend that, and nobody should defend it.”

Click here to Tweet this article

Fox News, Tucker Carlson

When asked about these reports by the press, McCarthy flatly insisted that no such conversations ever took place. Then, of course, the recordings of him saying precisely what was reported were released.

RELATED: Fox News Ignores Bombshell Recordings of McCarthy Urging Trump to Resign and Lying About It

After McCarthy was caught in this bald-faced lie he struggled to salvage what remained of his reputation, which wasn’t particularly good to be begin with. He managed to get Trump’s seal of approval largely on the strength of his rock-solid sucking up. However, that was before a second batch of recordings was released.

In the new recordings McCarthy is heard lambasting his insurrection supporting GOP colleagues, including Matt Gaetz, Mo Brooks, Lauren Boebert, Louie Gohmert, and Barry Moore. He correctly noted that Gaetz was “putting people in jeopardy,” and acknowledged that Trump’s insurrectionists “came prepared with rope, with everything else.”

Even worse for McCarthy, he is now having some trouble with the Republican Ministry Propaganda, Fox News. On Tuesday night Tucker Carlson chastised McCarthy savagely for his political heresy (video below). Carlson ranted that…

“Kevin McCarthy of California told his close friend Liz Cheney that he hoped the social media companies would censor more conservative Republicans in Congress. Donald Trump, the sitting president, had already been silenced by those companies, but McCarthy wanted wanted the tech oligarchs to do more to force disobedient lawmakers off the Internet. Quote, ‘Can’t they take their Twitter accounts away too?'”

McCarthy’s question about taking away Twitter accounts was triggered by the report of Alabama Rep. Barry Moore tweeting a racist comment about the police shooting of violent insurrectionist Ashli Babbitt as she tried to storm the Capitol. Moore portrayed that as “a black police officer that shot the white female veteran.” But this wasn’t about punishing “disobedient lawmakers.” It was about McCarthy’s justifiable concern that these sort of extremist tirades by the most radical members of his caucus could damage the GOP’s electoral prospects come November and, hence, his speakership aspirations.

Furthermore, it’s rather comical to hear Carlson whine about “tech oligarchs” after Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, which Carlson celebrated with unbridled glee. Do you think he knows what “oligarch” means? Perhaps he could ask his boss, Rupert Murdoch.

RELATED: Trump Declares that ‘I Am Not Going Back On Twitter’ After the Elon Musk Takeover

But Carlson hadn’t finished his harangue. He went on to make some truly delusional characterizations of the rabidly conservative and staunchly Republican McCarthy as a flaming liberal who is aligned with the Democratic Party. Carlson fumed that…

“Those are the tape recorded words of congressman Kevin McCarthy. A man who in private, turns out, sounds like an MSNBC contributor. And yet, unless conservatives get their act together right away, Kevin McCarthy, or one of his highly liberal allies like Elise Stefanik, is very likely to be speaker of the House in January. That would mean we will have a Republican congress led by a puppet of the Democratic Party.”

WTF? If Carlson thinks that McCarthy and Stefanik are “highly liberal” his family should seriously consider having him committed. It would be interesting to hear what Carlson thinks are examples of McCarthy being a Democratic puppet, considering that he has opposed everything that Democrats have proposed with knee-jerk consistency. And Carlson’s assertion that Liz Cheney is a close friend of McCarthy ignores the fact that he supported her removal from the GOP leadership and replacement by the shameless Trump-fluffer, Stefanik.

This conflict between Carlson and McCarthy is representative of the disarray that is roiling the Republican Party. Members are torn between their worshipful sycophancy to Trump and their long-standing commitment to repugnant right-wing politics. So it’s a lose-lose. If they keep this up – and if Democrats cleverly encourage it – it will not bode for well for their midterm dreams of majorities in Congress. Maybe it’s Carlson who is helping the Democrats.

Fox News ‘Screeches’ at MSNBC’s Joy Reid in Misogynist Fury for Criticizing Ron DeSantis

The easiest way to ascertain what or who Fox News is most afraid of is to observe what they attack with the most ferocity. That’s often apparent in their relentless assaults on President Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Black Lives Matter, and any politician, Democratic or Republican, who dares to criticize Dear Leader Donald Trump.

Click here to Tweet this article

Joy Reid, MSNBC

A frequent target of Fox’s feces flinging is MSNBC host Joy Reid. She embodies two of the network’s primary criteria for caustic condemnation. She is Black, and she’s a woman. And on the basis of those factors Fox News posted a story on their website chastising Reid for her well-founded critique of Florida governor Ron DeSantis’ latest efforts to turn the state into a mini-autocracy.

RELATED: Fox News is SHOCKED that MSNBC’s Joy Reid Rightly Berated Them for Killing Off Their Audience

However, it wasn’t enough to simply rebut Reid’s factual and rational arguments. Fox provided a headline for the article that was deliberately offensive and drenched with misogyny. It read: “Joy Reid screeches DeSantis’ ‘private police force’ will ‘intimidate’ Black people ‘out of being able to vote’”

“Screeches”? That’s a word that was chosen intentionally to malign Reid as both a maniac and an unstable woman. There was, however, nothing in her commentary or delivery that could be remotely characterized as screeching. Here is a portion of it…

The Fox News article opened with a brazenly biased paragraph demeaning her remarks as just “another rant,” while ignoring the substance of her criticism:

“MSNBC host Joy Reid embarked on another rant against Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., on Monday, claiming that, in addition to all the ‘authoritarian’ things he’s doing in the state regarding Disney and redistricting, he now has his ‘own private police force’ meant to ‘intimidate’ Black Floridians ‘out of being able to vote.'”

The truth is that it is DeSantis who has embarked on a crusade of anti-democratic policies modeled after his hero, and fellow wannabe dictator, Donald Trump. He did attack Disney in retaliation for their opposition to his “Don’t Say Gay Bill.” He did create a private election police force intended to intimidate and obstruct primarily Black and Democratic voters. He did force his own partisan gerrymander to redistrict Black precincts out of existence.

RELATED: Trump Celebrates Martin Luther King Day By Calling MSNBC’s Joy Reid a Stupid Racist

The only screeching being done here is by the rabidly hyperbolic headline writers at Fox News. Reid was, as usual, composed and articulate and focused on the subject at hand. And it was precisely because of her her intellect and composure that Fox New felt it was necessary to lash out with insulting and utterly inappropriate language.

However, by doing so they are just admitting that they are incapable of refuting anything that Reid actually said. So they resort to the childish antics of their cult leader and role model, Donald Trump. Whose bona fide screeching is a hallmark of his noxious persona.

Trump Declares that ‘I Am Not Going Back On Twitter’ After the Elon Musk Takeover

America’s oligarchy is exercising it’s privilege once again as the world’s richest man drops a few of his billions of dollars to add Twitter to the playroom in his ultra-exclusive world. Elon Musk’s acquisition of the social media giant is profoundly significant due to its influence on politics, journalism, and culture.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump

The debate over how dangerous this is for society in America – and the world – is complex and will unfold in the weeks to come as Musk’s intentions are revealed. However, in the short term we already have some news about a famous former tweeter. Donald Trump didn’t waste any time telling Fox News (who else) what the Musk acquisition means to him. According to Fox News

“Former President Trump will not return to Twitter, even as Elon Musk purchases the social media company and reinstates his account, instead using his own TRUTH Social as the sole platform for his voice. […] The former president told Fox News Monday that he will formally join his own TRUTH Social over the next seven days, as planned.

“‘I am not going on Twitter, I am going to stay on TRUTH,’ Trump told Fox News. ‘I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’ll make improvements to it and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on TRUTH.’ […] He added: ‘The bottom line is, no, I am not going back to Twitter.'”

Let’s set aside for the time being that Trump lies far too often to take anything he says seriously. If Twitter were to offer to reinstate his account, it’s ridiculous to suggest that he would rebuff the offer because he’s “staying on TRUTH” Social (TS). How can he “stay” on a platform that he has posted on only once nearly two months ago, and from which he has been conspicuously absent ever since? He couldn’t even get the name straight at his recent rally, calling it “Troth Sential.”

Trump was, and is, a Twitter addict (his spokes-shill still posts for him daily in defiance of Twitter’s own rules). And he isn’t likely to trade access to his 84 million Twitter followers (most of which were bots or fakes) for a fraction of that on TS. Trump went on to say that…

“‘We’re taking in millions of people, and what we’re finding is that the response on TRUTH is much better than being on Twitter,’ Trump said. ‘Twitter has bots and fake accounts, and we are doing everything we can.'”

Actually, TS has assigned a little over a million wait list numbers to people who have tried to sign up. Most of them still have not been able to log on. And as for fake accounts, there have already been a multitude of them on TS. The site even “verified” a Fox News account that Fox denied having anything to do with.

RELATED: Trump’s PRAVDA, er, TRUTH Social Twitter Clone Flops as it Misses Yet Another Launch Date

What’s more, there is so little interaction on TS that the users who are online have complained that it is an echo chamber of fellow cultists whose homogeneous agreement is terminally boring. And now Trump is promising that it’s going to get even worse…

“‘This is a platform for my voice. TRUTH is a platform for my voice and for my supporters,’ Trump said. ‘But I want everybody to come over to TRUTH—conservatives, liberals, whatever. […] ‘TRUTH Social will be a voice for me,’ Trump continued. ‘And that’s something nobody else can get.'”

It isn’t an accident that Trump keeps referring to the site as simply “TRUTH.” There is nothing “Social” about it. Like everything else in Trump World, it is about him and only him. And he isn’t shy about saying so explicitly.

RELATED: Trump’s TRUTH Social Boss, Devin Nunes, Tells Fox News that ‘Twitter is a Ghost Town’

The worst part of all of this, from Trump’s perspective, is that the site may never even become viable. The shell company that is serving as its Wall Street proxy (DWAC) declined another 12.9% today. It has cratered 64% since the beginning of March. Reuters is reporting that key personnel are abandoning ship and that…

“Another open question is how TMTG is funding its current growth. The company is planning to go public through a merger with blank-check firm Digital World Acquisition Corp (DWAC) . The deal is under scrutiny by the Securities and Exchange Commission and is likely months away from being finalized. […] Investors have pledged $1 billion to TMTG but they won’t hand over that money until the DWAC deal closes.”

So the the Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG) and DWAC deal is likely another illegal Trump scam that will never go through. And when it fails Trump won’t get any of the money that has allegedly been pledged. More likely it will result in investor lawsuits that will cost him and his accomplices a fortune.

As for Twitter’s future under Musk, Jessica J. González of Free Press recently published an editorial that exposes how truly awful the site could be under Musk. She wrote that…

“Musk’s ability to be an accountable steward of this massive online community is questionable at best. […] he has a poor track record of protecting other Twitter users and respecting their free speech. He has used the platform to discredit and disparage those who disagree with him, and he has lashed out at journalists who have written or produced things he didn’t like.”

Musk’s pretense of advocating for free speech is utterly insincere. It is a pathway to tolerating hate speech and disinformation that divides people and incites violence. It would make Twitter unbearable for most decent users, as well as advertisers. And it doesn’t help that Musk has been sued for “racial discrimination and harassment after finding a widespread pattern of mistreatment of Black workers” at his Tesla plant. So look for Twitter to collapse unless its executives and board of directors manage to keep Musk’s worst instincts in check.

Texts Show Sean Hannity Was Taking Orders From Trump Team to Steal the Election

For the past sixteen months Donald Trump has been viscerally obsessed with having decisively lost the presidency to Joe Biden. And his all-consuming humiliation has resulted in a relentless fit of rage as he desperately crusades to convince his cult followers that the election was “rigged” and “stolen” from him.

Donald Trump Sean Hannity

Throughout this prolonged temper tantrum, Trump has the unflinching support of his Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News. The “Big Lie” that the election was rigged is regurgitated every day by Fox’s devoted Trump-fluffers. Never mind that neither Fox News nor Trump has been able to provide a scintilla of evidence of fraud. To the contrary, they repeatedly put forth blatantly bogus examples of alleged proof that are easily refuted.

RELATED: Trump Posts ‘Foolproof’ Evidence that the Election Was ‘Rigged’ But it’s Only Proof for Fools

On Monday morning CNN published over 2,300 never before seen texts messages that they obtained from Trump’s former chief of staff, Mark Meadows. Among them were conversations between Meadows and Fox News hack, Sean Hannity. The substance of their discussions further documents the unsavory marriage of Fox and Trump as they endeavor to undermine democracy. CNN reports that…

“CNN has obtained 2,319 text messages that former President Donald Trump’s White House chief of staff Mark Meadows sent and received between Election Day 2020 and President Joe Biden’s January 20, 2021 inauguration.

The vast trove of texts offers the most revealing picture to date of how Trump’s inner circle, supporters and Republican lawmakers worked behind the scenes to try to overturn the election results and then reacted to the violence that effort unleashed at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.” […]

“The never-before-seen texts include messages from Trump’s family — daughter Ivanka Trump, son-in-law Jared Kushner and son Donald Trump Jr. — as well as White House and campaign officials, Cabinet members, Republican Party leaders, January 6 rally organizers, Rudy Giuliani, My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell, Sean Hannity and other Fox hosts. There are also text exchanges with more than 40 current and former Republican members of Congress, including Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas and Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio, Mo Brooks of Alabama and Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia.”

The texts exchanged between Hannity and Meadows are especially illuminating. They show that Hannity was both advising and taking orders from the Trump team. According to CNN…

“Among Meadows’ most frequent interactions were those with Fox’s Sean Hannity, a well-known friend of Trump. Throughout the logs, Hannity both gives advice and asks for direction.

“On the afternoon of Election Day, Hannity texted Meadows to ask about turnout in North Carolina.
Meadows responded: ‘Stress every vote matters. Get out and vote.’

“Yes sir,” Hannity replied. “On it. Any place in particular we need a push.”

“Pennsylvania. NC AZ,” Meadows wrote. “Nevada.”

“Got it. Everywhere,” Hannity said.”

“Yes sir!”? So Hannity was coordinating strategy with Trump’s chief of staff to steal the election from the American people. It’s bad enough when the host of a so-called “news” network openly advocates on behalf of a corrupt politician. It is another thing entirely to choreograph schemes with coup plotters. But that is precisely what Hannity is doing here. And it isn’t the first time. Hannity has appeared as a guest speaker at Trump rallies. And he has also appeared in campaign ads for Trump. [Note: These texts refer to Hannity coordinating “Get Out The Vote” efforts with Trump, but that is still wholly unethical, and he was still coordinating with coup plotters because the plot began before election day]

Among the other Meadows texts are messages from Marjorie Taylor Green urging Meadows to get Trump to declare “marshall” (sic) law. Ivanka Trump texting Meadows, Jared Kushner and others that “You are all WARRIORS of epic proportions! Keep the faith and the fight.” And Jim Jordan suggesting that Mike Pence should refuse to count electoral votes from states that Biden won. To which Meadows replied “I have pushed for this.”

Surprisingly, Fox News actually aired a story on the Meadows text messages that CNN published. Not surprisingly, their story didn’t mention that any of those messages were to or from Sean Hannity. That’s a curious omission after deciding to report on the text messages at all.

However, it’s typical of the dishonesty and distortion that is so integral to how Fox News mangles journalism. When they aren’t lying about things that they cover, they deliberately refuse to cover things that aren’t aligned with their biases. Such as the news that Trump has been found in contempt of court by the Attorney General of state of New York.

Trump Reveals He Talked to Putin About Invading Ukraine, But Stiffed Them on Military Aid Anyway

It’s inevitable that if you let Donald Trump talk long enough, he will eventually incriminate himself. And at his cult rally in Ohio on Saturday he confessed to the despicable crime of cutting off military aid to Ukraine, an imperiled ally, despite having knowledge of the deadly circumstances that would result.

Donald Trump Vladimir Putin

To make matters worse, the abhorrent cretin is actually proud of it as he spun the tale to his cult followers who likewise lapped it up. Trump babbled pridefully that…

“Those people that are dead that you see laying all over the streets – all of that is so senseless, It would have never happened. I know Putin very well. There is zero chance that this would have happened. And I talked about it with him. I knew he wanted it. But he knew he couldn’t do it. And by the way, he didn’t do it for four years. There’s a reason for that.”

This is s profoundly revealing passage from Trump’s tedious and mostly repetitious speech. Let’s take a moment to break it down.

First of all, Trump makes a callous reference to the victims of Putin’s genocidal assault without the tiniest bit of sympathy. To him it is merely something that doesn’t make sense, rather than a horrific and deliberate massacre. And he still refrains from condemning Putin in even the slightest measure.

Next, Trump repeats his baseless claim that “it would have never happened” if he were still president. Of course, there is no way for him to know that. We do know, however, that he did nothing for four years about Russia’s annexation of Crimea. Well, nothing except try to remove the sanctions that were imposed by President Obama and try to get Russia readmitted to the G7.

Next, while bragging that he “know[s] Putin very well,” Trump reveals that he talked to Putin about invading Ukraine and he “knew [Putin} wanted it.” So Trump is admitting that he knew that Putin was contemplating an invasion. And at the same time, Trump was withholding military aid from Ukraine in an extortion attempt to force President Zelenskyy into fabricating dirt on then-candidate Joe Biden. For his political self-interest Trump betrayed a democratic ally knowing full well of Putin’s intentions. That’s what Trump was impeached for, the first time.

Finally, with regard to invading Ukraine, Trump boasts that Putin “didn’t do for four years” of his administration, and that “There’s a reason for that.” Indeed there is. The reason is that Putin didn’t need to invade Ukraine during Trump’s occupation of the White House. Putin’s goal was to prohibit Ukraine from joining NATO and to weaken the Western alliance. But Trump was doing that for him. Trump was Putin’s representative in Washington, and it would have been counterproductive, from Putin’s perspective, to mess that up. It was only after Trump was sent packing that Putin deemed it necessary to go through with the invasion.

There is abundant evidence of Trump’s criminal treachery, even without his admissions. Hopefully Congress and the Department of Justice are paying attention and quietly putting together a case for indicting and prosecuting him. Time will tell.

Fox News Buries Biden’s Accomplishments in a Pitifully Pathetic Piece of Pure Propaganda

After 26 years of devoted service to the Republican Party and the uber-conservatives of America, no one is going to be surprised by Fox News posting stories that are brazenly partisan and littered with lies. It’s what they were created to do, and they surely have not disappointed their political benefactors. Well, perhaps with the exception of Donald Trump (and much more here).

Joe Biden, Donald Trump Baby, Fake News

In their continuing crusade to malign President Biden, Fox News sought to report on what the American people think of the President. So they went to a suburb of Washington, D.C., and asked some of them. The resulting story was headlined, “Americans weigh in: What’s Biden’s biggest accomplishment?”

RELATED: Boring Biden? Fox News is Very Upset that Biden Isn’t a Hyper-Psycho Drama Queen Like Trump

So for this story that purports to reveal the sentiments of the American people, did Fox News conduct a poll? Did they embark on a research project to ascertain the mood of the general public? Did they interview experts on politics or sociology? Well, if you’ve ever watched Fox News you already know that they don’t engage such professional standards of journalism.

Nope. For this story about what Fox News portrayed as the broad population of “Americans weigh[ing] in” on Biden’s accomplishments, they compiled the views of only four anonymous people on the street whose political affiliations are unknown and whose views cannot be judged for credibility. These four “representatives” of the nation in Fox’s skimpy sample were asked what they thought Biden has accomplished. Their answers were as follows:

“Fighting the pandemic with the availability of vaccines,” one woman told Fox News. “I think he’s a great president for the four years he’ll be here, and I’m very pleased with that.”

“I can’t think of anything,” one woman told Fox News.”

“Another man said: “I don’t think he has one big accomplishment.”

“Binging (sic) his sobriety to the presidency,” one man, Bob, told Fox News. “Bringing a sense of decency back, bringing stability back, bringing the thought process back.”

And that’s it. That’s the entirety of the Fox News story. Except, that is, for pointing that Biden plans to run for reelection despite his low poll numbers. But, Fox News doesn’t even believe that Biden won in 2020. And somehow they still expect people to regard them as a credible news network.

In a district that voted 80% for Biden, Fox News could only find two people who could provide examples of his accomplishments. For the record, here are a few of Biden’s accomplishments that Fox News made certain wouldn’t make it into their story…

  • Effectively managed COVID with vaccines and relief payments to millions of Americans
  • Lead an economy to record growth, job creation, and historically low unemployment
  • Reversed dozens of Trump’s anti-environmental executive orders
  • Nominated the first Black woman to the Supreme Court
  • Restored Obamacare to the state prior to Trump’s sabotage of it
  • Invested billions in infrastructure
  • Rejoined the Paris Climate Accords and the World Health Organization
  • Advocated for workers rights and a higher minimum wage
  • Pushed legislation for voting rights
  • Strengthened foreign relations and unified NATO

Of course, Fox News wouldn’t dare report on any of that. It would only conflict with their goal of disparaging Biden. And if you’re wondering why his approval ratings are so low, you’re seeing one reason why in purposefully dishonest reporting like this.
