Fox News ‘Doctor’ Makes Bogus Diagnosis of Biden that Fits Trump’s Cognitive Disorder Way Better

The release of special counsel Robert Hur’s report on the documents stored by President Biden has made the top of the news this week for all the wrong reasons. What should have been a story about Biden being fully exonerated for any wrongdoing, was hijacked by wholly inappropriate assessments of his mental acuity.

In a sane world the exoneration of Biden would be the lead story on every newscast. But Hur’s insertion of irrelevant opinions about Biden’s cognitive functioning – which Hur is utterly unqualified to assess – wound up stealing the show. That makes this a failure on the part of the media as well as the special counsel. Which is nothing new, as demonstrated by the reporting on Biden’s recent economic successes.

The Hur report not only concluded that no charges be filed against Biden, it also noted the stark differences between Biden’s actions and those of Donald Trump, who is currently facing 91 felony charges. Hur wrote that…

“Most notably, after being given multiple chances to return classified documents and avoid prosecution, Mr. Trump allegedly did the opposite. According to the indictment, he not only refused to return documents for many months, he also obstructed justice by enlisting others to destroy evidence and then lie about it. In contrast, Mr. Biden turned in classified documents to the National Archives, the Department of Justice, consented to a search of multiple locations, including his homes and sat for a voluntary interview, and in other ways cooperated with the investigation.”

However, those facts seemed to get short shrift in favor of more salacious, tabloid style, pseudo-journalism. And at the forefront of that wretched reportage was, of course, Fox News. The network that serves as the Ministry of Propaganda for Trump and his MAGA Republicans invited Dr. Nicole Saphier to comment on the Hur report and Biden’s response to it. Note that Saphier is a radiologist with no credentials in psychology or politics. But that didn’t stop her from making a remote diagnosis…

“Actually, the way that [Biden] came out and was attacking [Fox’s White House correspondent] Peter Doocy and others, that actually goes in line with maybe he is having some sort of cognitive decline.’

First of all, Biden didn’t “attack” Doocy. To the contrary, he joked with him before explaining why he disagreed with the typically loaded question that Doocy had asked. Biden has cordial relationships with everyone in the press corps, and often needles them light-heartedly.

More to the point, Saphier’s assertion that a display of anger is evidence of “some sort of cognitive decline,” is not only way off target with regard to Biden, but is actually much more descriptive of Trump. After all, it is Trump who maligns the media as “enemy of the people.” And it is Trump who viciously attacks reporters and news outlets at every opportunity. for instance…

That’s just a few of the insults that Trump has thrown at reporters in the midst of his temper tantrums. So if Saphier thinks that Biden’s mild and cordial tone is evidence of cognitive decline, what must she think of Trump’s raving? And if she needs any further proof of Trump’s cognitive collapse, she might want to take a look at this…

Tucker Carlson Explains Why He’s in Moscow Sucking Up to His BFF Vladimir Putin

This week it was discovered that former Fox News Trump-fluffer, Tucker Carlson, is in Moscow, reportedly to interview the Russian dictator and MAGA hero, Vladimir Putin. It is not especially surprising that Carlson would travel to a country where journalists are routinely arrested or shoved out of windows. Although, that’s not something that he would have to worry about, because he can hardly be described as a journalist.

Furthermore, Carlson is a slobbering sycophant of Putin and has not been shy about about saying so. So it’s unlikely that he would stir the Kremlin’s wrath while he’s there. In fact, Carlson has literally bragged about his support for Russia over America and its allies, saying “Why do I care about what’s going on in the conflict between Ukraine and Russia? And why shouldn’t I root for Russia, because I am.”

Now Carlson has posted a video wherein he seeks to explain the reasons for his pilgrimage to Putinland. True to form, it’s a self-serving four minutes of blatant lies and propaganda. The crux of his message (video below) asserts that…

“Two years into a war that’s reshaping the entire world, most Americans are not informed. They have no real idea what’s happening in this region. […] No one has told them the truth. Their media outlets are corrupt. They lie to their readers and viewers.”

That’s actually true, so long as Carlson is referring to himself and his flagrant dishonesty as revealed in his own communications that were disclosed during the Dominion Voting Systems defamation lawsuit against Fox News. Those lies cost Fox News $787 million. In general, however, Carlson is just insulting the American people who he apparently believes are ignorant lemmings being led around by pseudo-journalists like himself. Which is also true, so long as he’s referring to Fox News viewers and Trump’s MAGA cult.

Carlson then complains that American media reports on Ukraine have been “pep sessions” and propaganda for Ukrainian President Zelenskyy. Then he asserts that “not a single western journalist has bothered to interview the president of the other country involved in this conflict, Vladimir Putin.” That’s actually not true.

While Putin does not often make himself available to western media that he doesn’t control, there have been a few notable exceptions. For instance, NBC News interviewed Putin on June 14, 2021. Financial Times interviewed Putin on July 5, 2019. Megyn Kelly interviewed Putin, March 10, 2018.

The notion that Carlson is the guy to set the American people straight on Putin and his intentions in Ukraine, and more broadly, Eastern Europe and the World, is preposterous. While he yammers about propaganda in the Western press, he leaves out the fact that he is one of its foremost agents of “alternative facts.” And he wouldn’t be allowed entry to Russia, much less an interview with Putin, if they didn’t already know that it would be a pusillanimous puff piece. After all, that’s pretty much all Carlson has ever produced in the past. For example…

Trump and Fox News are So Scared Of Biden, They’re Switching in Gavin Newsom and Michelle Obama

In most elections, people generally support the candidate that they believe has the best agenda for boosting their financial well being.

The 2024 presidential election may not hew as closely to that principle as prior elections. The emergence of Donald Trump has introduced some rather unique considerations that skew the strategic landscape in today’s politics. For instance, it’s the first election wherein a major party nominee is facing 91 felony criminal charges, has already been held civilly liable for defamation and rape, and is promising to reign as a dictator.

That said, the economy will still be a significant factor on the minds of voters as they make their choices for president. And the fact that the economy is presently firing on all cylinders presents a real problem for Trump and his mouthpieces at Fox News. The last thing they want is to run against Bidenomics as it is creating jobs, lowering inflation, lifting wages, and boosting the prospects of American business.

Consequently, when Fox News’ Senior Trump-fluffer, Maria Bartiromo, interviewed Trump for her Sunday morning program, she made a point of deflecting from Biden to two other notable persons who have made it clear that they are not running for president: Gavin Newsom and Michelle Obama. And Trump was all to happy to take the bait…

Bartiromo: You’ve said that you don’t even think [Biden] is who you’re going to face off in November.
Trump: Personally, I don’t think so.
Bartiromo: Well, Gavin Newsom is right out of central casting. How are you going to do up against Gavin Newsom?
Trump: I tell you what. Because he’s so much bullsh*t. He want’s to say how wonderful…it’s doing horribly. His state is doing horribly. You look at the homeless problem. You look at the people that are leaving. You have companies that are leaving. They’re all leaving for other locations. I think Gavin’s easy because California is a disaster. He has been a horrible governor.
Bartiromo: What if it’s Michelle Obama? How are you going to do against Michelle Obama?
Trump: You have to see. Look, I’ve seen polls where she doesn’t do well. She may do well. But I’ve seen polls where I beat her easily. I beat her by a lot. I had four great years.

This segment could not have been a bigger waste of time. Newsom and Obama have been crystal clear that they aren’t considering any campaign for the White House. Trump’s opinion that Biden won’t be his opponent is based solely on his fear that he is likely to lose to him again, just like he did in 2020. So Newsom and Obama are convenient deflections from that recurring fate of humiliation and defeat.

Naturally, Trump insists that he can easily beat Newsom or Obama. He childishly maligns them as he does any opponent that threatens him. And his confidence that he would prevail is a product of his massive, yet fragile ego. You can rest assured that he has never seen a poll showing that he would beat either one of them. But he has surely seen evidence of the booming Biden economy.

What’s more, his assertion that he had “four great years” is contrary to reality. He presided over the worst pandemic in a century. And his ignorance, incompetence, and even deliberate neglect, resulted in far more dire consequences than would have been suffered if an able administrator were in charge.

His term also had the worst record on job creation since the the Great Depression. Plus, he raised taxes for the working class, and lowered them for corporations and the wealthy. He put justices in place who set women’s rights back fifty years. And he sucked up to our foreign enemies while alienating our allies.

In short, Trump had four disastrous years that left the nation poorer, more in debt, sicker, and more divided than ever. Then he left the White House kicking and screaming about election fraud, stole classified documents and lied about it, tried to instigate a violent insurrection, and sought to strongarm state officials into altering election results.

That record makes him vulnerable to Biden, Newsom, Obama, or any other challenger. At this point he would lose to SpongeBob SquarePants. American voters are not about to turn over the country to a criminal crybaby with authoritarian aspirations.

The success of the measures executed by Biden and the Democrats is in stark contrast to those employed by Republicans and Donald Trump. During Trump’s occupation of the White House he devotedly advanced the interests of corporations and the wealthy, to the detriment of average Americans. And the outcome proved to be devastating as he left office with the worst jobs record since Herbert Hoover. That contrast recently seeped into a segment of Fox News’ “The Five”…

The Biden administration’s stellar employment stats also made it into Fox News reporting. Although their reception of what is unarguably good news was something less than celebratory. For the most part they tried to downplay the news or find negative crumbs they could chew on. But in the end, the positivity of the numbers was hard to suppress and/or disguise.

The glad financial tidings were so tremendous that they were even recognized by Trump’s former director of his National Economic Council, Larry Kudlow, who now works for Fox News. Kudlow’s commentary on the matter was surprisingly complimentary. So much so that the Biden-Harris campaign featured it in their social media posts, including their account on Trump’s failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, along with a few other entertaining messages.

[Note: The following posts all appeared on Truth Social, but these are the same posts on Twitter, so as to avoid making people dirty themselves by visiting Trump’s website]

“We had a blowout jobs report. More than twice the consensus expectations. Now, I know many of my conservative friends are trying to drill holes in this report. But you know what, folks? It is what it is. It’s a very strong report. Not every economic stat should be viewed through a political lens. […] 353,000 gained in non-farm payroll – a very big number. Prior two months revised up by 126,000 – another big number. And the bottom line here is more Americans are working. And that’s a good thing no matter what your party registration is.”

The 2024 presidential year is bound to feature more of Trump’s madness, hostility, and failure, as well as Biden’s competence, compassion, and success. Biden has already been focusing his campaign on substantive issues that the American people care about, such as jobs, abortion, climate and environment, healthcare, gun reforms, tax equity, diplomacy, and saving democracy.

Meanwhile, Trump has been ranting feverishly about “witch hunts,” “election interference,” and scary brown immigrants. His entire campaign is consumed by two issues that have zero significance to the American people: 1) His “Big Lie” that the 2020 election was “rigged and stolen” from him. And 2) His relentless whining about his legal tribulations, such as the 91 criminal charges he faces, and his civil litigation that has already found him liable for defamation and rape.

Therein lie the factors that voters must consider when choosing who to vote for in November. And if anyone is having any trouble with that decision, then they have been hopelessly devoured by the Trump cult. Let them go. They are lost to us.

Thankfully, there are way more Americans who are sane, reachable, and love their country. Many who have not voted before, or not voted for Democrats. And they should be the targets of Democratic campaign efforts going forward.

Joe Biden, of course, is the incumbent Democratic candidate with no serious competition. Donald Trump, however, is in a near panic, despite the fact that he has faced relatively light opposition from Ron DeSantis, who has dropped out, and now Nikki Haley, who is ramping up her attacks.

For the past several weeks Biden has trailed Trump in many polls, and has suffered with low approval ratings. But Trump’s approval hasn’t been any better. Nevertheless, Trump and his MAGA media minions have made a point of celebrating every poll that showed Trump ahead, even if it were only by a point or two and within the margin of error. And yet, Trump still can’t find any comfort in the numbers that he slobbers over.

On Thursday morning, Fox News White House correspondent, Peter Doocy, was interviewed by his father, Steve Doocy, on Fox and friends. The subject of the segment was a new poll by Quinnipiac that put President Biden ahead of Trump by six points (50-44). It appears that the American people are starting to feel the the positive effects of Biden’s leadership, and that is beginning to be reflected in the polling. The younger Doocy reported that…

“The trends here may be changing because President Trump, former President Trump, has been leading national poll after national poll over President Biden for the last couple of weeks, but not in this one. And maybe it’s an outlier, maybe it’s not. But Quinnipiac had Biden up on Trump six points, 50 to 44.

“The Biden team has been trying to pivot to general election mode. They’ve been focusing on abortion access and on union jobs. And the Trump team has spent the last week or so dealing with his legal issues.”

Trump is not going to take this well. He has been known to viciously lambast Fox News whenever they are something less than unwaveringly worshipful. And he is particularly infuriated when they dare to report the results of polls that show him behind.

Doocy correctly points out that Biden has been campaigning on substantive issues that the American people care about, such as abortion and jobs. He could have also mentioned the booming economy, climate and environment, healthcare, gun reforms, tax equity, and saving democracy.

Meanwhile, Doocy gently touches on the fact that Trump is wholly consumed by his “legal issues,” which include 91 felony charges and a recent $83.3 million judgment in favor of E. Jean Carroll, the woman he raped and defamed.

Doocy continued his poll analysis, noting that third party candidates like Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. take votes from both candidates, but that Biden still beats Trump 39 to 37. Then he observed that Nikki Haley was ahead of Biden 47-42, but that she is unlikely to get the Republican nomination.

All told, this is the sort of report that is likely to trigger a Trumpian aneurism. Mar-a-Lago staff has been put on Red Alert for incoming ketchup bottles. And Dr. Rep. Ronny Jackson, aka “The Candyman,” is on call for distribution of additional doses of Adderall and other psych meds.

BLAMING THE VICTIMS: Fox News Trump-Fluffer Blames DEI for the Deaths of U.S. Soldiers in Jordan

Last week a drone attack on an American military installation in Jordan took the lives of three soldiers stationed there. It was a brutal and unprovoked assault that the Iranian backers of the perpetrators will soon regret. Unfortunately, here at home Fox News is taking their “Blame America First” position that they have taken many times before in similar circumstances. It’s a position that they have adopted from their Dear Leader, Donald Trump…

On Monday morning, Fox’s Senior Trump-fluffer, Maria Bartiromo, interviewed MAGA Republican Rep. August Pfluger (R-TX). Their predictably prejudiced political punditry was rife with disparagement of President Biden. Pfluger attributed responsibility for the attack on what he falsely claimed was Biden’s “weakness.” Never mind that it is Republicans and Fox News who have been purposefully telegraphing a false message of American weakness to our enemies, in effect encouraging them them to launch attacks. But even worse was their attack on the deceased heroes that they were pretending to care about.

Pfluger: It’s the weakness that invites that aggression.
Bartiromo: Well, maybe they’re focused too much on DEI. There’s a concern at the FBI because they’re dropping the FBI special agent requirements in the name of DEI. I’m just wondering if that has anything to do with missing an important drone that just killed three of our heroes.

Bartiromo’s suggestion that DEI programs – Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion – played a role in the soldiers’ deaths is straight-up racism. She and her GOP confederates are repulsed by the idea of treating people with unbiased respect. And they regard such treatment as special favors for inferiors. Which is apparently what they think of the soldiers who died and their brothers and sisters stationed with them.

As if that weren’t bad enough, Bartiromo is also displaying her pitiful ignorance by asserting that lowered requirements for FBI special agents had anything to do with this. First of all, even if the FBI is being more cognizant of DEI, that is not lowering their requirements at all. Secondly, the FBI has no responsibility for the security of military posts outside of the country.

More to the point, Bartiromo is blaming the deceased heroes for their own deaths. It is notable that the three soldiers who were killed were all Black. Which probably contributed to her implying that, due to DEI, they were too incompetent to perform their duties properly. That is not only a vicious lie, it is grossly insensitive, disrespectful, and unpatriotic.

Then again, that’s Fox News for you. They are nothing if not flaming hypocrites. Bartiromo and her audience might be interested in what the Fox News Corporate Responsibility Report says.

Gee… It’s almost as if Fox News corporation supports the sort of equity and civil rights that they vilify on the air 24/7. Too bad their hosts, guests, and viewers, don’t know anything about that.

HE’S TOTALLY UNHINGED: Nikki Haley’s Fox News Hit on Trump Would Make a Great Ad – For Democrats

The 2024 Republican presidential primary continues to generate heat with the field narrowing to just the former reality TV game show host, Donald Trump, and Trump’s former U.N. ambassador, Nikki Haley. The two GOP candidates are starting to take harder swings at one another as they seek to draw support from the remaining Republican voters who haven’t been alienated by the MAGA cult and other right-wing extremists.

For his part, Trump is hammering at Haley, in his typically infantile manner, as a “birdbrain” who doesn’t have what it takes to lead the nation. Never mind that he is wrought with fear and desperation resulting from his mounting political and legal tribulations. He is so consumed with anxiety that he can’t pause to appreciate the primary wins he had in Iowa and New Hampshire.

Haley, on the other hand. is taking advantage of Trump’s psychotic stupor by focusing on his obvious cognitive malfunctions. That includes his confusing Haley with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. However, Haley went even further in an interview on Fox News to highlight the more substantive failures of Trump’s administration during his occupation of the White House. In an exchange with Fox’s Dana Perino (formerly George W. Bush’s press secretary), Haley slammed Trump (video below):

Perino: Ronna McDaniel, the head of the Republican National Committee, on Tuesday night she said that she thinks you should get out of the race. Have you spoken to her?
Haley: I let her know how disappointed I was. Let’s look at the last 48 hours. First of all you had election night. Trump gets on stage and he throws an absolute temper tantrum, talking about revenge. But he says nothing about the American people. Nothing about what he’s gonna do about the wasteful spending that he encouraged and allowed the Republicans and Democrats to do in his term. He said nothing about how he’s gonna secure the border and what he’s going to do different that he didn’t do when he was president before. He said nothing about how he’s going to prevent war.

That’s a pretty comprehensively damning statement of how utterly Trump betrayed the most prominent planks of his political platform. From the economy, to the border, to foreign policy, Trump failed. And her remarks can easily be compiled into a scathing advertisement by Democrats during the general election. And just to add icing to this cake, Haley points out how destructive Trump is to the Republican Party as he aspires to be their authoritarian master:

Haley: Then he goes and says that he’s going to ban anyone from MAGA that donates to me. Think about that. That’s a president who’s supposed to serve every person in America, and you’re deciding that you’re going to have a club and actually ban people from being in and out of your club. And then he goes and encourages the members of the RNC and tries to push them into saying that he’s the nominee in the race. I mean, they got so much pushback that he had to backtrack. He’s totally unhinged.

Trump’s unhingedness has been apparent to most Americans for years. It’s astonishing that more Republicans haven’t recognized it, and that everything Trump does is for Trump. He couldn’t care less about his followers, or his political confederates, or the Party, or the nation. You either worship him unwaveringly, or you’re banished. Marjorie Taylor Green made that point explicitly. And that’s what was behind the proposal by the Republican National Committee to summarily declare that Trump their nominee before the vast majority of people even voted. And to no one’s surprise, he lied about that as well:

However, Democrats should be grateful that Haley provided such a searing condemnation of Trump, who is likely to be the GOP’s candidate in the fall. They should put that ad together and be prepared to air it frequently. And Haley isn’t the only Republican who is inadvertently producing ads for Democrats…

Even After Winning, Trump Has a Post-Primary Meltdown, Attacking Friends and Foes and Fox News

The psychotic disorders driving Donald Trump are progressing rapidly toward a total mental malfunction. And one of the signs of his deterioration is that he remains consumed with outrage and vitriol, even after events that would ordinarily lift a sane person’s spirits.

On Tuesday night Trump won the New Hampshire Republican presidential primary, beating Nikki Haley by eleven points. To be sure, that was a less than impressive achievement considering that he had predicted a thirty point margin of victory, and late polling showed ahead by eighteen points. But it was victory, nonetheless, in the same disappointing vein as his triumph the week before in Iowa.

Not content to appreciate electoral success, Trump delivered a speech that was rife with rancor and lies. He declared that he won New Hampshire in the general elections of 2016 and 2020. He didn’t. And he exhibited the sort of bitterness one would expect from a loser, which by some analysis, he is. After all, he barely got to 50% in New Hampshire. And as reported by Politico, “Donald Trump has a big problem ahead.” “Forty-three43 percent of Nikki Haley supporters said they would back President Joe Biden over Trump.”

So naturally, Trump sheltered in the safety of his failing social media scam, Truth Social, to vent his frustration at not being unilaterally declared King of America. He began by taking a shot at his former press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany, who now works for Fox News. She made the cardinal sin of pointing out that President Biden had “a fairly good night” in New Hampshire, and that exit polls found that “7 in 10 Nikki Haley voters said ‘I would not vote for Trump.'” Then she offered the following advice to her old boss…

“If I were Trump I’d sit back and I would exclusively focus on the general election. I’d take the posture of the presumptive nominee. I’d focus on, number one, uniting the party, and number two, getting the independents, which Nikki Haley won 55-39 percent.

That’s actually pretty good advice. But Trump wasn’t pleased by her presuming to give counsel to the all-knowing Messiah of MAGA. Especially after she made a couple of truthful observations about Biden and Haley. He snarled that…

“I don’t need any advice from RINO Kayleigh McEnany on Fox. Just had a GIANT VICTORY over a badly failing candidate, ‘Birdbrain,’ and she’s telling me what I can do better. Save your advice for Nikki!”

That’s how Trump responds to friendly suggestions from people who were loyal confederates. It is evidence of a deeply disturbed and despondent personality who knows that he is trouble both politically, and even more worrisome, legally.

But he wasn’t through raging. He posted another couple of comments that displayed his seething anger and cognitive collapse. In a 12:43 AM post he complained “Here at Haley HQ in Concord, they are playing CNN on the big Screen.” Heaven forbid! But just two minutes later he whined that “CNN & MSDNC TREATED MY BIG, DOUBLE DIGIT VICTORY OVER BIRDBRAIN, BETTER THAN FOX!” So apparently Trump was watching CNN as well. And he couldn’t resist an opportunity to lash out Fox News, despite their relentless promotion of him and his campaign.

These are not the commentaries of someone who is excited at being successful. They are the tirades of someone who is terrified of a future filled with suffering. And to top it off, Trump lapses into his all to common delusions of divinity. He re-posted a meme that heralded that “His Truth Is Marching On: Trump Emerges Victorious in New Hampshire.” That’s a lyric from the “Battle Hymn of the Republic” referencing the return of a vengeful god, and casting himself in the role of the deity whose disciples rejoice that “Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord.”

And the cult choir sings “Glory, glory, hallelujah,” with the hopes of exalting Dear Leader Trump and his overtly anti-American movement. While those who reside in the real world are ever more motivated to prove between now and next November that they will work diligently to preserve the democracy, civility, and liberty, that are the foundations of our republic. And you know that Trump hates the prospect of that.

UPDATE: Sean Hannity and his guests (Byron Donalds and Ari Fleischer) have the same advice for Trump as McEnany. Will Trump cancel them as RINOs too?

The scare tactics that Fox News has employed have included everything from migrant caravans, to gun confiscations, to banning of beloved kitchen appliances, and myriad other preposterous horror stories. Trump himself has led the parade of peril with his incessant sermonizing about the curse of “Crooked Joe” and the “radical communist and fascist thugs” of the Democratic Party. Needless to say, it’s an apocalyptic perspective that has no foundation in reality.

On Monday morning, the “Curvy Couch” potatoes of Fox and Friends introduced yet another monstrous visage of the vile liberals. They agonized over the prospect of former First Lady Michelle Obama throwing her hat into the 2024 presidential race. Co-host Steve Doocy fretted that…

“Cindy Adams in today’s New York Post has an item that says ‘Don’t be shocked if Michelle Obama sneaks in.’ And when you look at what she said a couple of days ago on that podcast, you know, that was not a careless adlib. Cindy is suggesting that that was all planned. And apparently, according to Cindy Adams, she sent a survey to top Democrats about running. And in the summer of 2020 [the article actually says summer of 2022. In the summer of 2020 Biden had not even been elected yet], in New York City, she met hedge fund CEO’s and she said ‘I’m running and I’m asking for your support.’ We’re just now finding out about this.”

OH MY HEAVENS! Could this be true? What’s next? Satan for VP? It must be noted that Doocy’s source for this bombshell, Cindy Adams, is not a journalist. She is the gossip columnist for the New York Post, a Rupert Murdoch rag, famous for fictional stories. And there is absolutely nothing in the article that could pass for credible evidence. No quotes from insiders or hedge fund CEOs. No documents or copies of the alleged survey. No receipts of support from donors. Nothing.

For the record, Obama has repeatedly stated that she would not be a candidate for president, or any other office. But that doesn’t stop Fox News from manufacturing a myth that they know will trigger their snowflakey viewers. And they can’t let a day go by without stirring up a cauldron of conspiracy crackpottery.

Doocy elaborated on his baseless speculation by asking what he says is “The Big Question” about whether Obama, if she runs, would keep Kamala Harris as VP. He also says that “A lot of people like Michelle Obama. A LOT!” Which is a generous admission on his part. But then he returns to the subject of the Adams article in the Post, which in her first few sentences proved her editorial neutrality, saying that…

“Biden won’t debate. Can’t. Our codger-in-chief can’t even read the prewritten script in front of him fast enough to pronounce the words. So, forget him — which most of us already have.”

Of course, Biden is ready to debate. He speaks eloquently, albeit with an occasional stutter that he’s had since youth. And most Americans – including the obsessed and malicious Republicans – have not forgotten him. What’s more, Adams seems to have entirely missed all of the cognitive glitches by Trump, such as the most recent one where he mixed up Nikki Haley and Nancy Pelosi.

No wonder Fox News needs to invent ghastly tales to keep their cult compliant. Their own candidate, Trump, would have to improve several steps to be considered a basket case. However, at least they recognize the intelligence and appeal of Michelle Obama, and the threat she would pose if she were interested in running. The fact that they fear her is a compliment. Just as their suppression of Trump’s deficiencies – -not to mention his tyrannical aspirations – is an admission that he is unfit for office.

The editorial manglers at Fox News must get together every morning to map out the day’s outrages and distort fragments of alternative facts into exploitable pseudo-scandals. And judging by how poorly they do it, it must be a profoundly difficult task. But they take it up with the same measure of gusto, and flaming dishonesty, that their beneficiaries at the Republican Party do…

Recently the hair-on-fire Fox News fabulists have been expressing their unbridled outrage at what they characterize as hyperbolic criticism of Donald Trump and his MAGA cult followers. They seem to believe that Democrats have gone overboard with the reckless use of offensive adjectives. Apparently they have never heard a single thing that Trump has ever said. And that sheltered and purposeful ignorance has led to commentaries such as the following…

Fox News host Harris Faulkner: “I’ve gotta talk to you about that word ‘crazies.’ It reminded me of ‘deplorables.’ And if Democrats are again willing to go down this road, because the Vice-President didn’t say anything when Joy Behar screamed out, ‘How are you gonna stop the crazies,” it’s Hillary Clinton’s deplorables all over again.”

First of all, Faulkner is complaining about something said by Joy Behar, a co-host of “The View” She is paid to express opinions, and is not affiliated with the Democratic Party. More to the point, Faulkner is holding Vice-President Kamala Harris accountable for Behar’s views, and comparing it to something that Hillary Clinton said eight years ago. Proving that Fox News is, once again, totally plugged into what matters most to voters today.

For the record, Clinton’s reference to “deplorables” was limited to just a subset of Republicans who were overtly hateful and bigoted. So the comparison made by Faulkner is not really far off. Behar was also referring to the same subset of GOP crackpots who believe Trump’s “Big Lie” that he won the “rigged and stolen” 2020 election, and that President Biden is a usurper and/or an imposter.

Fox News Senior Political Anal-Cyst, Jesse Watters, also weighed in to blast Democrats for “demonizing” the glassy-eyed disciples of Trump…

Fox News host Jesse Watters: “This country cannot have an election where one side is demonized, and you don’t say how I’ve improved your life. And Joe Biden, he kind of has to demonize because if you look at the metrics he has not improved anyone’s life.”

In the real world, if you look at the metrics, Bidenomics is working astonishingly well. The economy is booming. The stock market is soaring. Inflation is declining, GDP is increasing, Consumer sentiment is higher. Biden has presided over the creation of more jobs than any other modern presidency. Billions of dollars of student debt has been forgiven. Billions of dollars of tax revenue has been recovered from wealthy tax cheats and corporations.

Furthermore, Biden has steered unprecedented funding to infrastructure projects and climate change mitigation. And he continues to fight for family values such as the right to make their own health choices, and to be safe from massacres perpetrated with assault weapons. All of this is concrete evidence of how he has improved the lives of the American people.

Nevertheless, Watters is very upset about politicians demonizing their opponents. But his anger seems more appropriately aimed at Donald Trump, who rages daily about the “communists, Marxists, fascists, and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country.”

To anyone who has been paying attention, it is Trump, Republicans, and Fox News who have been engaging in vilification and demonization. And they direct their assaults, not just at extremists, but at anyone and everyone who has the temerity to merely disagree with them or Dear Leader Trump. Their allusions to demons is literal, as they regard Trump as having been chosen by god to lead them to glory.

Absent Trump’s leadership, America is, according to Trump himself, “going to HELL!” He even used his Christmas greeting to attack Democrats as “evil and ‘sick’” “THUGS” who “are looking to destroy our once great USA. MAY THEY ROT IN HELL.” And Fox News defended that seasonal grotesquery…

Look for more of this malicious hatred to be unleashed by the MAGA crowd as election day draws nearer. It’s really all they have left, since their pitiful attempts to govern have failed so dramatically, and they have abandoned any effort to draft policies that will appeal to the American people. And, true to form, as they flail in desperation they will accuse Democrats of the repulsive behavior that they themselves engage in. It’s what they do.
