OH NOES! Trump Threatens that If Election Fraud Isn’t Solved ‘Republicans Will Not Be Voting”

Never let it be said that Donald Trump would ever miss an opportunity to say something profoundly stupid that he is certain is bursting with brilliance. He has been doing it for decades, although in the past five years that tendency has been rife with peril for millions of Americans.

Donald Trump, Woman, Fear

On Wednesday afternoon Trump finally said something that many people – especially Democrats – will be thrilled to hear. In defense of his obsession with his totally unfounded claims of election fraud, Trump had Liz Harrington, his Twitter ban defying spokes-shill, tweet that…

“If we don’t solve the Presidential Election Fraud of 2020 (which we have thoroughly and conclusively documented), Republicans will not be voting in ‘22 or ‘24. It is the single most important thing for Republicans to do.”

That’s fantastic news. Trump is effectively advising his dimwitted cult disciples to refrain from voting in future elections. The condition that he imposes is one that simply cannot be met. There is, after all, no way to “solve” what he is calling election fraud, when after the passage of nearly a year, multiple GOP-run audits, and more than sixty court cases, have never produced any evidence of such fraud.

Just because he says that it has been “thoroughly and conclusively documented” doesn’t mean that it has. If so, why hasn’t he produced any of this alleged documentation? Is he waiting for Mike Lindell, the MyPillow Guy, to send it to him?

Harrington was later apprised of how her Trump proxy tweet was been interpreted. So she stepped up to offer a clarification that only made things worse, tweeting that…

“President Trump did not say don’t vote. He pointed out the obvious consequence of not fixing fraud and holding those who broke laws accountable will be Republicans sitting out If we don’t fix our elections, many voters will think their vote won’t count.”

In other words, her clarification said exactly the same thing. If the nonexistent election fraud isn’t “fixed” the “obvious consequence” will be Republicans not voting because – why should they? That’s the same advice offered in the first tweet.

To be clear, Trump’s definition of “solving” his contrived election fraud crisis is to overturn the election and inaugurate himself as president-reject. He said so in another tweet wherein he tried to to hijack the “Big Lie” phrasing and amend it to the “Really Big Lie,” but redefine it as the actual election on November 3, 2020. He asserted that “If we had an honest media this Election would have been overturned many months ago.” Yeah, right!

It’s pretty safe to assume that the election will not be overturned. Therefore, the alleged fraud will not be “solved” according to Trump’s condition. And if that means that Republicans will sit out the next couple of elections, I guess the nation will just have to find a way to muddle through without the electoral contributions of ignoramuses who are blindly devoted to a lying, narcissist, with authoritarian aspirations. Somehow, I think we’ll find a way to carry on.

Trump Makes Hysterical Claim of Voter Fraud that Actually Proves His ‘Big Lie’ is Bogus

Nearly a year after the 2020 presidential election, the twice-impeached, former reality TV game show host and fake billionaire, Donald Trump, is still running his mouth about election fraud. Never mind that in all that time – and after more than sixty failed court challenges – he and his cohorts in politics and the press have been unable to uncover even a shred of evidence to support his manic ranting that has incited deadly violence.

Donald Trump

Even the GOP-run “fraudit” in Arizona concluded that Joe Biden was the legitimate winner. But that didn’t stop Trump from proclaiming just the opposite. Just as he has done repeatedly before. Trump’s Attorney General, Bill Barr, even admitted that “We realized from the beginning it was just bull—.” Which triggered another Trump tantrum.

Well, all of that may have just come to an inglorious end with posts by Trump’s spokes-shill, Liz Harrington (whose proxy Trump tweeting is violating Twitter’s rules against circumventing a ban). Harrington’s tweets linked to an article that she rapturously reported were proof of voter fraud (and not for the first time). But like everything else in Trump World, the reality was far less scandalous than the lies they gushed (Here’s the tweet if you’d like to report it (and her) to Twitter).

There is a lot to unpack in this purposefully deceptive set of tweets. Let’s begin with the fact that it only alleges to have found a total of 28 votes that it implies were irregular. That’s out of nearly three million cast in a state where Biden won by more than 154,000. What’s more, it doesn’t reveal whether the allegedly fraudulent votes were for Biden or Trump. They could be proof that it was the Trump side that was cheating.

Even more notable is that it doesn’t even prove that there was any fraudulent intent whatsoever. In every case it might easily be explained as naïve persons making minor mistakes that unknowingly violated the law. One case snared a grandmother who was trying to help out her grandson. The article described this super villain saying that…

“The investigation found that the grandmother of Clark returned his absentee ballot by mail despite him deciding to vote in person. Clark admitted to signing her grandson’s absentee ballot because she was concerned he wouldn’t have time to vote on Election Day.”

Oh my! Lock her up! It is also notable that these trivial cases of impropriety were discovered and reported by the Michigan Attorney General and the Michigan Secretary of State, both of whom are Democrats. So any assertion of Democratic foul play is preposterous.

In fact, this report is proof that the system works. The cases outlined in the article were all found through the routine process of signature matching. This is precisely how the system was developed with safeguards to prevent or catch any irregularities. The state officials released this statement:

“These cases highlight the scrutiny applications and ballots undergo throughout the election process, as well as the thorough investigative process that ensues when instances of attempted fraud are suspected,” AG Dana Nessel said in a release. […] Our election system is secure, and today’s charges demonstrate that in the rare circumstances when fraud occurs we catch it and hold the perpetrators accountable,” [Secretary of State] Jocelyn Benson added.

Clearly, there was no “fraud” that even came close to impacting the election outcome. And it surely does not require any of the extreme measures that Republicans are implementing to suppress voting, such as photo IDs, curtailing of voting hours and locations, eliminating mail-in ballots, or denying voters food and water as they wait for hours, mostly in Democratic districts by design of the GOP legislators.

Nevertheless, the Trump camp is using this utterly inconsequential story to buttress the “Big Lie” that the election was “rigged” and “stolen” from him. It fails on every level to do that. And this sort of deliberate deception has the great likelihood of leading to more violence. But that doesn’t matter to the Trump cult who will believe whatever interpretation of reality that they are told to believe. The predictable peril that this represents to American democracy and civil society is the purpose of this charade. They won’t be happy until they foment a full scale civil war.

Trump Spokeswoman Posts Racist Attack on Chair of the January 6th Insurrection Committee

It’s been nine months since Donald Trump’s insurrectionists invaded the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to prevent Congress from carrying out its constitutional duty to certifying the presidential election. Their violent and deadly assault failed to achieve their goal of subverting democracy, but it sparked a treasonous revolt that continues to this day.

Donald Trump Insurrection

Trump has still never conceded his loss to President Biden. And his cult followers still harbor delusions that he will be reinstated to his throne, despite having no evidence of any electoral irregularities and no legal pathway to that end. It’s a dangerous fantasy that led directly to the January 6th insurrection in Washington, D.C. And Trump is continuing to fuel the seditionist fires.

On Tuesday morning, Trump’s spokes-shill, Liz Harrington (whose proxy Trump tweeting is violating Twitter’s rules against circumventing a ban), posted a tweet with a link to an article (in fact, she posted it three times) whose headline read “Jan. 6 commission chairman once sympathized with black secessionist group that killed cops.” Both the headline and the article itself where dishonest, racist, and intended to malign Rep. Bennie Thompson who is the chairman of both the Homeland Security Committee and the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack. The article by John Solomon began by stating that…

“Fifty years ago as a Mississippi alderman, Bennie Thompson defended the Republic of New Africa and participated in a news conference blaming cops for the group’s violence even as FBI saw group as waging ‘guerrilla warfare.'”

Fifty years ago? That’s how far back Solomon had to dig to find something that he could warp into a pseudo-scandal. Solomon implies that Thompson was somehow affiliated with the Republic of New Africa (RNA), a separatist organization founded in 1968. But Thompson was neither a member, nor a legal representative. He was simply a local elected official who made a rather uncontroversial statement with regard to a police incident. Thompson said that…

“My utmost concern in this matter is to see that people who reside or pass through the town of Bolton,[MS] are treated fairly and given every opportunity afforded them by law. […] My position is that people are entitled to live as they choose, so long as they are law abiding and peaceful.”

Thompson’s explicit reference to being “law abiding and peaceful” didn’t stop Solomon from associating him with every allegation of criminal activity by the RNA. That’s how Solomon works. He is a disgraced propagandist who was even too disreputable for Fox News, who ditched him last year. The network warned their “news” staff that Solomon lacked credibility and engaged in disinformation campaigns. Solomon was also sent packing by The Hill, who said that he had published misleading columns. In some of those columns he was found to have been clandestinely collaborating with a notoriously untrustworthy source, Rudy Giuliani.

Solomon’s article had a single purpose: to personally vilify the Chairman of the Select Committee so that he could later dismiss the Committee’s work. And he chose to pursue that goal by slandering a well respected Black legislative leader with allusions to past crimes that he had nothing to do with.

Then, along comes Trump and his PR flack to hype the fake scandal. Because the last thing that any of these cretins want is for the truth to come out about what happened on January 6th and who was responsible. But with tactics like this they are only revealing how scared they are of the justice that awaits them.

How Stupid is Trump’s Designated Twitter? Check Out Her Bogus ‘Proof’ of Election Fraud

Ever since Donald Trump was banished from Twitter nearly eight months ago “due to the risk of further incitement of violence,” his spokesperson, Liz Harrington, has been proxy tweeting on his behalf. Doing so is a blatant violation of Twitter’s rules against circumventing a ban, and should not be permitted. But Twitter is neglecting its own rules in order to placate a pathetic loser who is intent on inflaming his glassy-eyed disciples like the one who made a bomb threat in Washington, D.C. Thursday morning.

Donald Trump, Twitter

Harrington’s tweets are mostly just cut and paste regurgitations of the hostile, ignorant, and often incoherent lies issued by Trump. She has posted hundreds of them of them in the past few months. But she will occasionally post something that she thinks is important for Trump’s cult followers to know about. And that’s what she did on Thursday when she retweeted a video that claimed to be “proof” of the mythical election fraud that Trump is so obsessed with. Harrington added her own sarcastic commentary mocking the video as evidence of “The most secure election in history.”

This was clearly a triumphant discovery for Harrington. She had found what was, in her feeble mind, confirmation of Democratic shenanigans to steal another election. There was just one problem. Everything about the video smelled of horse manure. Everything from the caption alleging that two women were “stealing” ballots, to the attribution associating it with the police, were totally fabricated.

First of all, there is no time stamp on the video so it could have been made ten years ago. There is no verifiable location. There is no identification of the people, who may actually be authorized to maintain the mail facility.

What’s more, the envelopes are not recognizably ballots. And even if it were, it cannot be determined how they were voted. If anything, they would be more likely to be votes for Gavin Newsom because Democrats are more likely to vote by mail than Republicans. So maybe Harrington actually stumbled on another example of the GOP tampering with an election.

Finally, the user ID (“police-frequency”) is not affiliated with law enforcement, despite the notation that explicitly asserts that. If you go to the original source for the video you’ll find that it is just the social media account of a right wing, Trump supporting Telegram user who posts lots of links to conservative conspiracy theories and Fox News.

If this were just some random Twitter clown posting the typical nonsense that gets disseminated online it would be bad enough. But Harrington is the official spokesperson for a former president who continues to string along his sheep with hints of a future campaign to regain the White House (despite his deranged insistence that he never lost it).

It is irresponsible and potentially dangerous for Harrington to post messages like these as it adds fuel to Trump’s crusade to undermine faith in American democracy. But in addition to the possible civil unrest it could provoke, it is also pitifully stupid. It shows that she couldn’t bother to spend ten minutes to investigate the video and see what a load of bunk it was. Or perhaps she did and didn’t care. That would be routine behavior for Trump and his team of professional, albeit frightfully inept, liars.

WITCH HUNT? Serial Sexual Predator Trump Defends the Wife Stalker He Pardoned

Donald Trump seems intent on affirming that he couldn’t care less about America or the American people. He proved it this week when he dismissed COVID vaccines as “a money making operation.” He proved it when he released the Taliban leader who is now set to become the president of Afghanistan. And he continually proves it whenever he furthers his “Big Lie” that the 2020 presidential election was “stolen” from him.

Donald Trump, Witch Hunt

On Thursday morning Trump issued a flurry of statements via his spokes-shill, Liz Harrington (whose proxy Trump tweeting is violating Twitter’s rules against circumventing a ban). The messages Trump felt so compelled to express concerned subjects as varied as bashing Biden on Afghanistan, Google’s allegedly anti-Trump algorithms, and a ludicrous poll by the ultra-biased Rasmussen claiming that Trump would beat Biden if an election were held today. Notably, not a single statement was made to try to talk down his supporter who was making a bomb threat in Washington, D.C. at the time.

One of the matters that Trump did believe was of critical importance was the news that a close friend of his son-in-law, and former White House advisor, Jared Kushner, was indicted on charges of cyberstalking. According to The Hill

“An associate of former President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner was charged Wednesday with eavesdropping and computer trespass for allegedly using spyware to monitor his former wife’s online activity. Ken Kurson, who was pardoned by Trump and is a close friend of Kushner’s, was charged with two felonies by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office.”

Kurson was previously charged with federal cyberstalking crimes against several people, including his ex-wife, when Trump pardoned him just before he left office. The pardon does not immunize Kurson from violations of state law. It’s questionable as to whether Trump understands that.

Calling the new indictments a “Witch hunt of Trump allies … as Cy Vance goes after pardoned man,” Trump whined that “Prosecutors are out of control. We are living in a Banana Republic.”

It’s helpful that Trump admits that Kurson is an ally, but he doesn’t specify in what pursuits they are allied. Is that they are both abusers of women? Or is it that they both violate the law whenever they determine that it’s in their interest to do so? Or is it that they both consider themselves above the law as result of their wealth and elitist status? Clearly they have much in common.

Trump is likely frightened by these indictments because they portend imminent legal peril for him. Kurson could cooperate with the authorities by providing evidence of Trump’s political malfeasance and financial misconduct. And Kurson’s indictment could foreshadow others that have yet to be announced.

Now Trump knows that the numerous pardons he dished out to his accomplices (i.e. Steve Bannon, Roger Stone, Paul Manafort, Michael Flynn, etc.) will not necessarily shield him from being held accountable for his own transgressions, of which there are many that are already well documented. And judging by his reaction to the Kurson indictment, Trump is shaking in his booties this morning.

On Trump Reinstatement Day the Befuddled Former Guy Asks ‘Do You Miss Me Yet?’

It was a long time coming. After months of such political prognosticators as the MyPillow headcase Mike Lindell and the QAnon Qrusaders insisting that August 13th would usher in the re-inauguration of Donald Trump, the day has finally arrived. And Washington is buzzing with anticipation as – – – oh wait. Trump is still holed up at his Bedminster golf bunker dictating alt-tweets, and Joe Biden is still president.

Donald Trump, King

The industrial strength lunacy required to believe that Trump might return to Washington as anything other than a convicted felon is impossible to measure on conventional scales. And yet, a disturbingly large minority of cultists were convinced that the resurrection of Trump was as certain as the sun rising from the eastern edge of the flat Earth. And even though that prophesy has gone unfulfilled, they will likely sign on to whatever new date is proposed by the potentates of Trumpism.

In the meantime, Trump is issuing decrees via his spokes-shill, Liz Harrington (whose proxy Trump tweeting is violating Twitter’s rules against circumventing a ban). On Friday Trump lashed out President Biden with a pile of lies and a hysterical question (linked here in case you want to report it):

“Tragic mess in Afghanistan, a completely open and broken Border, Crime at record levels, oil prices through the roof, inflation rising, and taken advantage of by the entire world—DO YOU MISS ME YET?”

For the record, the exit from Afghanistan was planned long ago, during the Trump administration. And while refugees are anxiously migrating north, the borders are not by any stretch of the imagination “open.” Any knowledgeable law enforcement professional will tell you that crime is not at record levels. The only reason that oil prices and inflation have risen is because the economy has improved significantly from the peak pandemic days of the Trump era. And what Trump thinks is the world taking advantage of the U.S. is actually what it looks like when they are showing respect, rather than the laughter that Trump received.

However, for pure oblivious hilarity, nothing beats Trump asking if we’ve missed him. There are really only two answers to that ego-drenched question.

The first is “No f**king way, you sanctimonious cretin.” Why would anyone miss the guy whose negligent and incompetent mismanagement of the COVID pandemic led to the loss of more than 600,000 American lives? Why would anyone miss an idiot who gave corporations and the wealthy massive tax cuts, abandoned the international efforts to mitigate the climate crisis, alienated America’s allies, and embraced its enemies? Why anyone miss a malignant narcissist who placed his own greed and lust for power above the welfare of the nation?

The other answer to his question is “How can we miss you if you won’t go away?” The election was eight months ago, but Trump is still making us suffer through his relentless whining about having lost decisively to someone he disparaged as a senile communist. His “Big Lie” tirades led to the deadly insurrection at the Capitol on January 6th. And by continuing to pound on that nonsense he is veritably insuring further violence.

So “NO,” Donald. We do not miss you. Polls show that the American people want to move on. Most say that a Trump candidacy in 2024 would be bad for America. We never wanted you in the first place. You lost the popular vote by seven million votes. You never reached 50% approval in the four years of your presidency. That’s a distinction no other president can claim.

The only thing that the American people look forward to more than Trump leaving the public stage, is his entering a federal prison. And the sooner that happens the better. This nation cannot heal from the sickness that Trump spread without full legal accountability for his crimes. When that happens it will be remembered as Reinstatement Day for American democracy.

Crybaby Trump Whines Impotently About Passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill

There aren’t many public spectacles more humiliating than a washed up politician who fails to see that his influence has dried up. That’s the state of Donald Trump today. While his devoted cult followers keep his massive ego afloat, Trump’s actual ability to impact the nation has suffered considerable shrinkage.

Donald Trump

On Tuesday morning the Senate passed a bipartisan infrastructure bill with 19 Republicans joining all of the Democrats to complete a legislative goal that Trump failed at for four years. Throughout the debate for the past several weeks, Trump repeatedly implored his GOP confederates not to cooperate with the Democratic majority. But his plaintive pleading was for naught. And when the vote for passage was concluded, Trump released a despairing statement (via his spokes-shill, Liz Harrington, (who is violating Twitter’s rules) that only served to highlight his feeble obsolescence:

“Nobody will ever understand why Mitch McConnell allowed this non-infrastructure bill to be passed. He has given up all of his leverage for the big whopper of a bill that will follow. I have quietly said for years that Mitch McConnell is the most overrated man in politics—now I don’t have to be quiet anymore. He is working so hard to give Biden a victory, now they’ll go for the big one, including the biggest tax increases in the history of our Country.

First of all, everyone but Trump understands why Mitch McConnell “allowed” this bill pass. He could hardly stop a bill that had such popular support that even Republican senators knew it would be political suicide to oppose it. And yes, this is a victory for President Biden and the Democrats, but it would have been a devastating defeat for Republicans if they had killed it. Although there is still an opportunity for the GOP to get on the wrong side of the issue when the budget reconciliation bill comes up for a vote.

Naturally, Trump uses this statement to cast blame on others and absolve himself of any responsibility for whatever he happens to be complaining about. This time it’s Senate GOP minority leader, Mitch McConnell. Trump laughably says that he “quietly” criticized McConnell in the past. As if Trump has ever done anything quietly. But as usual, Trump’s version of events doesn’t remotely resemble reality. Just this year Trump has loudly lambasted McConnell saying that…

  • “We need good leadership. Mitch McConnell has not done a great job. I think they should change Mitch McConnell.” (4/29/2021)
  • The Senate GOP leader is “a dumb son of a bitch.” (4/11/2021)
  • McConnell is a “dour, sullen, unsmiling political hack,” and that “if Republican Senators stay with him, they will not win again.” (2/13/2021)

Such a quiet man. These are the incoherent ramblings of a desperate and increasingly isolated has-been who thinks he is still a power broker. But his influence resides solely among the glassy-eyed disciples who cling to him like a miscreant messiah. Going forward, we can count on Trump continuing to fail with greater frequency. And we can also count on him continuing to whine pathetically about it.

SCAREDY FOX: Why Did Fox News Censor Trump’s ‘Big Lie’ Rant? Pending Lawsuits?

A startling event occurred on Sunday that may be unique in modern times. Donald Trump’s spokes-shill, Liz Harrington, posted a tweet that exposed a bona fide case of media censorship. But this assault on free speech was not the work of the usual suspects among the “fake news” purveyors. It wasn’t CNN or the New York Times that clipped Trump’s officious oratory.

Donald Trump, Fox News, White House

Nope. Harrington caught the thought police at Fox News in the act of making unauthorized edits to Trump’s divine discourse during an interview with Fox News host Dan Bongino. Most of this segment was filled with the typical Trumpian adoration by the Fox host and hysterical incoherence by Trump. But Harrington noticed something terribly wrong when she went to post Trump’s sermon on Twitter (which is a flagrant violation of their terms of service. Feel free to report it). She tweeted her discovery saying…

“WOW. So I went to post a clip from President Trump’s great interview on @dbongino last night, and lo and behold, Fox News EDITED and CHANGED what President Trump said, censoring out 45 accurately describing the Fake Election.”

First of all, it’s “former” President Trump. Secondly, it was more of a love-fest than an interview. Thirdly, what was edited out was not accurate. That said, she was quite right that some editing took place. What was excised was Trump lying again about the 2020 presidential election being “stolen” from him. He said that…

“You have a Fake Election, you have an election with voter abuse and with voter fraud like nobody has ever seen before and based on that and based on what happened they are destroying our Country.”

So the question is why would Fox News cut out this 14 second portion of a 16 minute interview? It could hardly be due to time constraints.

There are, however, a couple of plausible reasons to expunge this particular commentary. Fox News is already the subject of two multibillion dollar lawsuits (one by Dominion Voting Systems, and another by Smartmatic) for defamation as result of the network’s dishonest assertions, on Trump’s behalf, that that the election was “rigged.”

So Fox News has a strong self-interest in avoiding exposing themselves to further legal liability by providing additional evidence that supports the case against them. That would be sufficient reason to cut Trump’s incessant whining about voter fraud for which he he has never been able to provide any proof in the 60-plus court cases he lost.

What’s more, by posting Trump’s lies, Fox News could be placing themselves at risk of being banned by Twitter – just like Trump – for posting false and potentially harmful misinformation. It is Trump’s lies about the election that incited the deadly insurrection at the Capitol on January 6th.

Fox News has already shown that they are worried about being associated with Trump’s “Big Lie.” Last month Fox refused to air an ad by the MyPillow conspiracy crackpot, Mike Lindell. The ad was to promote his “cyber symposium” that he said would “prove” that Trump won the election. Needless to say, the “proof” exists only in his diseased mind. However, Fox News wasn’t going to take the chance of getting further into legal jeopardy, so they nixed the ad. And in retaliation, Lindell pulled all of his ads from Fox News. And since MyPillow is Tucker Carlson’s biggest advertiser, that leaves his show with hardly any major ads at all.

It will be interesting to see how this censorship melodrama plays out. Currently Trump’s cult disciples are in a tizzy online, lambasting Fox News as the “enemy of the people,” and pledging to boycott the network forever. Harrington is appearing on whatever mousy Fox News wannabe that will book her to bad mouth Fox for caving in to the “Deep State.” And Trump is still stuck with with his thumb in his mouth, unable to get his malicious messaging out. Could this be any more fun? Stay tuned and have plenty of popcorn ready.

Trump Does a Great Job of Proving How Pitifully Stupid He and His Cult Followers Are

No one has ever described Donald Trump as any kind of a genius (except for Trump himself) After all, the guy who “loves the poorly educated” also believes that stealth fighters are actually invisible, that windmills cause cancer, that we should nuke hurricanes, that George Washington’s Army took over airports, and that injecting bleach will cure COVID.

Donald Trump

Unfortunately, Trump clearly isn’t satisfied resting on his laurels of epic idiocy. His relentless and dangerous crusade to subvert democracy by promulgating the “Big Lie” that the 2020 presidential election was “rigged” and/or “stolen” is producing an avalanche of new and more profoundly stupid examples of his mental infirmity.

On Saturday morning Trump’s spokes-shill, Liz Harrington, posted another of his alt-tweets (which is a flagrant violation of their terms of service and is linked here if you want to report it). In this episode of his sore loser lament Trump displayed a new low for his failing cognitive capacity. He whined that…

“Wisconsin has just canceled 205,000 voter registrations because they say they could not find the voters. Why did they wait until AFTER the election? Would this mean that we would have won Wisconsin? Congratulations!”

Is this for real, or an SNL sketch? Does Trump actually believe that these 205,000 canceled registrations could have led to his victory? Is it possible that he doesn’t know – and that no one in his camp has told him – that these are registrations for people who have not voted for at least four years? And if they haven’t voted, then they certainly didn’t vote for him or Biden or anyone else. And since they didn’t vote, it wouldn’t make any difference if the purge took place before or after the election. According to the Wisconsin Elections Commission

“Deactivating voter registrations in Wisconsin is a routine practice, required by law every two years, as part of the state’s voter record maintenance. […] The effort identifies individuals who have not voted in the previous four years and deactivates their registrations unless they want to remain on voter rolls. A spokesperson for the commission told The Hill that none of the voters removed from rolls cast ballots in the 2020 presidential election.”

This is the level of foolishness and dishonesty that pervades every claim that Trump has made regarding the election. In another recent harangue, Trump claimed that “There is massive and unconditional evidence that the election was shattered with fraud and irregularities at a level that our Country has never seen before.” But in his tedious and lengthy tirade he didn’t bother to cite a single example.

What’s more, Trump apparently doesn’t believe his own fraud claims. We know this because when he tried to pressure the Justice Department to back him up, he didn’t ask them to find or disclose any evidence of fraud. He asked them to “just say that the election was corrupt + leave the rest to me and the R. Congressmen.”

As painfully stupid as Trump’s statements are about the election (and pretty much everything else), we cannot ignore the fact that his disciples will believe every word of his lunatic rants. That’s the nature of cult, wherein Dear Leader is always right and everyone else is lying to you. It’s a closed loop of blind devotion that fills the followers’ gaping psychological and emotional void, as well as the leader’s ego and bank account. And worst of all, it has the potential to lead more and greater violence. It already has done so.

Trump Spokes-Shill Liz Harrington’s Twitter Account is ‘Temporarily Restricted’

Seven months ago Twitter belatedly banished the account of Donald Trump as he was promulgating blatant lies about election fraud and whipping up his cult disciples into savage mobs bent on sedition. Twitter imposed the ban on January 8th, two days after Trump’s deadly insurrection on Capitol Hill, saying that “we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence.”

Donald Trump, Liz Harrington, Twitter

In the seven months since his suspension Trump has actually escalated his reckless rhetoric. Trump continued to make purposefully inflammatory comments online and at his cult rallies (where he sometimes does himself more harm than good). Although he has managed to maintain an online presence despite his exile from Twitter (and YouTube and Facebook), much of it has demonstrated his infamous capacity for failure. For instance, his attempt to launch an online blog was shut down in less than a month.

However, none of that deterred Trump from pursuing his aspirations of messianic tyranny. Aiding and abetting this nightmarish goal was his new spokeswoman, Liz Harrington. As soon as she came aboard she began posting tweets that were nothing more than cut-and-paste Trumpisms that he was tweeting himself prior to his exile from social media. It was a brazen attempt to circumvent the Twitter ban, which is a violation of their terms of service.

In the month of July Harrington was Trump’s Twitter proxy more than 80 times. By allowing this, Twitter was itself helping Trump to continue disseminating his crackpot conspiracy theories that had already fomented a deadly riot and the first assault on the U.S. Congress in America’s history.

Now there appears to be at least a temporary relief from the Trumpist propaganda peddled by Harrington. On Friday morning anyone vising her Twitter account received a message saying…

“Caution: This account is temporarily restricted. You’re seeing this warning because there has been some unusual activity from this account. Do you still want to view it?”

It’s not clear what Twitter is referring to as the “unusual activity.” Neither is it clear how long the restriction will remain in place. It could be revoked within minutes or months. But it is a step in the right direction. And it validates all of the efforts by innumerable Twitter users who reported Harrington for violating Twitter’s rules.

This, however, is not the time to declare victory and withdraw. Since the account is still technically accessible, it is imperative that people continue to report it. Harrington should be suspended permanently for her repeated breaches that have allowed Trump to continue provoking potentially violent behavior. He is a clear and present danger to the nation, and Harrington (and Twitter) must not be permitted to assist him in his treasonous pursuits.

UPDATE: The restriction lasted less than 24 hours, and Harrington is back to posting Trump’s alt-tweets. So apparently Twitter still doesn’t care if their rules are violated by Trump and his confederates in ways that will surely incite further violence.
