DISBAR THE KRAKEN: Trump Affiliated Lawyers Have Been Sanctioned For ‘Frivolous’ Filings

Ever since Donald Trump was decisively defeated in the 2020 presidential election by Joe Biden, he has been obsessed with propagating the “Big Lie” that the election was “rigged” and “stolen” from him. It’s a dangerous and flagrant falsehood that undermines the people’s faith in American democracy and resulted in the deadly January 6th insurrection in Washington, D.C.

On Wednesday there were finally some consequences for a few of Trump’s co-conspirators. Politico is reporting that several of the attorneys that worked on Trump’s behalf to disseminate lies about election fraud were dealt a legal blow:

“A federal judge on Wednesday imposed sanctions on Sidney Powell, Lin Wood and seven other pro-Trump lawyers in a strongly worded denouncement of what the court called a frivolous election fraud lawsuit.

“U.S. District Court Judge Linda Parker found that Powell and her colleagues involved in the case, which sought to make former President Donald Trump Michigan’s official 2020 presidential pick, ‘filed this lawsuit in bad faith and for improper purpose.'”

The judge went on to reprimand the lawyers for presenting “pleadings that were not ‘warranted by existing law or by a nonfrivolous argument for extending, modifying, or reversing existing law or establishing new law.’” She said that they “contained factual contentions lacking evidentiary support.”

But that’s not all. The judge further noted that “the deficiencies in the pleadings [claim violations of election law} without a thorough understanding of what the law requires, and the number of failed election-challenge lawsuits that Plaintiffs’ attorneys have filed.”

The judge’s opinion concluded by recommending “that the bar associations for each respective attorney investigate them for potential suspension or disbarment, noting that their involvement in the litigation showed they were unfit to practice law.”

This is just the latest humiliating episode in the long-running melodrama of Trump’s legal tribulations. His personal attorney, Michael Cohen, pleaded guilty for his role on the payoff to Trump’s mistress, adult film star Stormy Daniels, and for lying to the Senate. Then Rudy Giuliani had his license suspended in both New York and Washington, D.C. Trump’s representatives lost more than sixty court cases due to failing to provide a shred of evidence supporting their election fraud allegations.

Now these clowns have been sanctioned and face possible disbarment. And yet, somehow Trump will go on whining about the “Crime of the Century” until his turn to be held accountable comes up. He is presently being investigated in New York, Washington, and Georgia, for criminal election tampering, intimidation, and abuse of power. And the rulings against this batch of his legal team will only serve to darken his future prospects for avoiding the consequences of his crimes.

It Wasn’t Just Democrats: Trump Also Spied on Don McGahn, His Own White House Counsel

Last week it was disclosed that Donald Trump’s Department of Justice secretly seized phone data from Democratic opponents in what amounts to an authoritarian style inquisition. The targets of the probe included Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff and impeachment manager Eric Swalwell. It was an unprecedented abuse of power triggered by Trump’s acute paranoia and dictatorial aspirations.

The reports revealing the DOJ’s pursuit of data from members of Congress followed similar reports of secret data seizures from the press, including the New York Times, the Washington Post and CNN. The accumulation of such discoveries prompted people to wonder what else was going on during the Trump years that was still unknown. And now we know at least a little more. According to CNN…

“Former Trump White House counsel Don McGahn and his wife received disclosures from Apple last month that their account records were sought by the Justice Department in February 2018, while McGahn was still the top lawyer representing the presidency, according to a person familiar.”

That’s right! Trump was actually spying on his own White House counsel and his family. It’s notable that the DOJ’s probe took place shortly after media reports that Trump had asked McGahn to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller. McGahn refused to do so, and even threatened to resign. This affair became even more bizarre when Trump went on TV and accused McGahn of perjury. McGahn was still his counsel at the time. Subsequently, Trump tried to pressure McGahn to cover up the request.

It’s one sort of gross malfeasance for Trump to go after his political foes. It’s another thing entirely to go after his allies and current staffers. This revelation should make everyone who ever worked for Trump wonder if they were – or will be – victims of his snooping. In fact, they should assume so.

Trump has no sense of boundaries whether it comes to loyalty, morality, or the law. His malignant narcissism compels him to regard only his own welfare as relevant. And his behavior as observed over decades – and especially in the White House – affirms that he will throw anyone and everyone under his fleet of vengeance seeking buses.

HAH! Rudy Giuliani Before the Raid Was ‘Proud to Be On Biden Vindictive Government List’

Another day, another Donald Trump associate in legal hot water. This time it’s his personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, who is no stranger to being slathered in the slime that emanates from Trump World. He is already named in a billion dollar lawsuit by Smartmatic for defaming the company and spreading Trump’s “Big Lie” about election fraud.

On Wednesday morning it was revealed that Giuliani’s Manhattan apartment was raided by FBI agents on a warrant seeking to confiscate “electronic devices.” According to the New York Daily News…

“The FBI raided Rudy Giuliani’s Upper East Side apartment Wednesday morning in connection with the ongoing investigation into his dealings in Ukraine. […] The raid, first reported by The New York Times, is an overt sign that Manhattan federal prosecutors’ investigation into Giuliani is entering a new phase. It’s also a sign prosecutors think they have a strong case. Giuliani.”

This is a profoundly significant event in the long running investigation of Giuliani and his shady – already indicted – accomplices, Igor Fruman amd Lev Parnas. But it isn’t news to Giuliani. Last December he referenced the legal sword dangling over his leaky head in a tweet bursting with arrogance and pride:

Giuliani’s feigned outrage and utterly hysterical bravado will come as no surprise to anyone. After all, this is the same brilliant legal mastermind who proclaimed that “truth isn’t truth,” and presided over a loopy press conference at the Four Seasons – not the luxury hotel, but a local landscaping establishment sandwiched between a sex shop and a crematorium.

Giuliani seemed to think that Joe Biden was already president a month before his inauguration. Why else would he brag that he was “proud to be number one on Biden Vindictive government list,” when there wasn’t any Biden list – or government at all – at the time, vindictive or otherwise?

Giuliani then watered down his ludicrous assertion by attributing his persecution to “DOJ anti-Trumpers.” However, the investigation of Giuliani was being conducted entirely by Trump appointees in the U.S. Attorney’s office in the Southern District of New York. And they reported to Trump’s hand-picked Attorney Genuflect, Bill Barr. So if anyone was acting as the “GOVERNMENT Secret Police,” it’s Trump and his Justice Department.

Finally, Giuliani complained that there is no reason for this investigation because there has been no wrongdoing. That, of course, is not the opinion of the investigators who had already secured the indictments of his partners in crime. As for attorney/client privilege, there was no evidence that that was ever breached. Giuliani was not acting as Trump’s attorney when he sought to blackmail Ukraine’s president.

The consequences of Giuliani’s criminal misbehavior are beginning to emerge. The evidence contained on his phones and computers is likely to be incriminating, both for him and his sole client, the twice impeached former reality TV game show host. And if they’re lucky, they’ll be able to share a cell.

Has Fox News Blacklisted the Sex Scandal Plagued Trump Toady Matt Gaetz?

The political prejudices of Fox News are getting tested by current events that put the right-wing “news” network in a decidedly uncomfortable position. It was revealed last month that Republican representative Matt Gaetz (Q-FL) is under investigation by the Department of Justice for serious felonies including sex trafficking of a minor, prostitution, drug use, and financial corruption.

As a result of these charges, Fox News has had to adapt their ordinarily knee-jerk, pro-GOP editorial mission to keep from awkwardly aligning itself with the perversion and criminality for which Gaetz is accused. Never mind that Fox News didn’t have any trouble aligning itself with such criminality when it was committed by the serial sexual predator, Donald Trump. Gaetz isn’t Trump and doesn’t get the same measure of absolution from the Trump Ministry of Propaganda.

On March 30, 2021, Gaetz was interviewed on Fox News by Tucker Carlson. The entire segment was provided as an opportunity for Gaetz to defend himself from the allegations against him. Fox’s participation in this self-serving dialogue is hardly unexpected considering the network’s affinity for Gaetz as one of Trump’s most zealous supporters among Republicans in Congress. But even at the conclusion of that interview, Carlson exclaimed that it was “one of the weirdest interviews I’ve ever conducted.” And it would be hard to disagree.

However, that interview with Carlson was also the last time that Gaetz has appeared on Fox News, or even been the subject of any sympathetic stories. That was three weeks ago. This is the network that has shamelessly defended Derek Chauvin, Roger Stone, Paul Manafort, Capitol insurrectionists, the Confederate flag, QAnon, Alex Jones, and Vladimir Putin, to name a few. But they now appear to be reluctant to defend Gaetz. That says something about the depth of the muck that Gaetz is wallowing in.

Gaetz’s GOP colleagues in Congress are equally afraid to be associated with him. Only a couple of his closest friends in the House – Jim Jordan and Marjorie Taylor Greene – have bothered to stick up for him. Even Trump offered tepid support. It remains to be seen if the Fox News blackout will continue for any length of time. But the fact that they have snubbed him in this, his hour of need, is a significant rejection that has to hurt. Especially when everyone else that would be considered an ally has been running for the hills.

GRIFTER EXPOSED: Trump Campaign Scam Defrauds Hundreds of His Supporters

No one who has paid attention to the career of Donald Trump will be surprised to learn that he is a shameless, recidivist con artist, callously deceiving and stealing from the very people on whose behalf he purports to be fighting. That’s been true throughout his presidency and for decades prior.

Now the New York Times has published an extensive exposé on the corrupt and underhanded practices of Trump’s crooked campaign donation operation. The article goes into great depth documenting the deliberate deception that Trump and his Republican confederates engaged in to fleece his glassy-eyed cult disciples.

The article begins with a heartbreaking example of Trump’s cold-blooded greed:

“Stacy Blatt was in hospice care last September listening to Rush Limbaugh’s dire warnings about how badly Donald J. Trump’s campaign needed money when he went online and chipped in everything he could: $500.

“It was a big sum for a 63-year-old battling cancer and living in Kansas City on less than $1,000 per month. But that single contribution — federal records show it was his first ever — quickly multiplied. Another $500 was withdrawn the next day, then $500 the next week and every week through mid-October, without his knowledge — until Mr. Blatt’s bank account had been depleted and frozen.”

However…

“…what the Blatts believed was duplicity was actually an intentional scheme to boost revenues by the Trump campaign and the for-profit company that processed its online donations, WinRed. Facing a cash crunch and getting badly outspent by the Democrats, the campaign had begun last September to set up recurring donations by default for online donors, for every week until the election.”

The form for making contributions to Trump’s campaign featured a pre-checked box that donors would have to find and uncheck in order to opt out of recurring donations. And even if they saw it, they would have to read through a confusing, fine-print disclaimer to understand the terms.

Consequently, hundreds (thousands?) of donors were purposefully misled. The campaign would eventually be forced to “issue more than 530,000 refunds worth $64.3 million to online donors.” But even considering the inconvenience of refunding so many donors, Trump’s scam enabled him to benefit from what were effectively “interest-free loans from unwitting supporters.” He was even able to “use tens of millions of dollars he raised after the election […] to help cover the refunds he owed.”

The for-profit organization that collected Trump’s donations, WinRed, operates differently from other campaign donation sites such as the Democratic-aligned firm, ActBlue, which is non-profit. According to the Times, WinRed “makes its money by taking 30 cents of every donation, plus 3.8 percent of the amount given. […] WinRed even made money off donations that were refunded by keeping the fees it charged on each transaction.”

This sort of thievery is entirely on brand for Trump. It is, in fact, the hallmark of his unethical business life. It’s certain to remind people of his fraudulent Trump University, his phony, egocentric charity, his blatant lies about raising funds for veterans, and his bankrupt casinos.

And that doesn’t even begin to address the rampant and brazen treachery of his brief political life. Those lies include Trump’s deranged insistence that he won the 2020 presidential election, which he continues to this day. It was that Big Lie that led to Trump inciting the deadly Capitol riots and insurrection that he recently claimed was all “hugs and kisses” and “posed zero threat.” And worst of all, was Trump’s deliberate dishonesty, negligence, and incompetence, with regard to the COVID pandemic that resulted in the deaths of more than half a million Americans. And for all of that and more, there needs to be a moral and legal reckoning for Trump and all of his enablers.

Tucker Carlson Goes Full Insurrectionist: Promotes AR-15’s to Use Against Government

It’s on people! Tucker Carlson, the Senior White Nationalist at Fox News, is openly advocating violent insurrection. He is justifying his support for the ownership and use of military-style weapons by fear mongering about a tyrannical government that must be brought down by the same sort of paranoid seditionists that attacked the Capitol on January 6th.

Fox News and its Republican benefactors have been known to exploit the 2nd Amendment issue extraordinarily hard whenever there is a mass shooting. In the past week they have made it their mission to ignore the recent incidents that took the lives of 18 people. They preferred to cover petty distractions like President Biden walking up stairs. They care more about suppressing voters than suppressing killers.

On Carlson’s program Tuesday night he interviewed ammosexual Colion Noir, who once hosted a “show” on the now defunct NRA-TV. The two of them belittled the tragedy that just took place in Boulder, Colorado, while glorifying the weapon that produced the carnage. Their discussion was steeped in extremist rhetoric that sounded like the ravings of a deranged, dystopian, apocalyptic prophet (video below). For instance…

Carlson: “Why, if somebody does something horrible in Boulder, does that mean you should strip from people the single most popular sporting rifle in America? The one that commits relatively few crimes. More people are killed by a factor of five by knives than by rifles in this country. Why are they so intent on taking this one firearm away?”
Colion Noir: “Because honestly, if you really look at it, a lot of people like to undervalue what the 2nd Amendment was actually written for. It was designed to be a check against the government. A lot of people don’t like to talk about that aspect. Of course it was also there to allow us to defend ourselves. But if you think about it, the AR-15 symbolically and literally is the best defense against a tyrannical government.

Carlson starts off by dismissing the “horrible” thing that happened in Boulder as something forgettable that deserves no response. He euphemizes the AR-15 as a “sporting rifle,” despite it’s intended purpose as a human meat grinder. Where’s the sport in that? And he downplays the brutal deaths of hundreds of innocent people as a “relative few.” So long as they weren’t his relatives. Carlson also doesn’t bother to address the fact that 26% of the last 80 mass shootings were done with AR-15s.

Noir goes even further to demonstrate his utter contempt for and ignorance of the Constitution. The 2nd Amendment says absolutely nothing about a “defense against a tyrannical government.” In fact, it explicitly refers to a “well regulated Militia” that would be assembled for the benefit of the state. It’s purpose was to be prepared to fend off foreign invaders, not George Washington’s troops.

Noir went on to assert the tiresome trope that regulating assault weapons was merely a slippery slope to confiscating all firearms. And he didn’t seem to be the least bit disturbed about “another shooting that happens, which it will.” He just viewed that as the left’s opportunity to “justify further restricting our rights again.” Never mind the shattered families grieving for their dead loved ones.

What neither Carlson nor Noir understand is that their warped fantasies of battling the U.S. government would end very badly for them. Their assault weapons wouldn’t protect them very long from the Army’s drones, grenade launchers, missiles, tanks, and bombers. You have to wonder if Carlson and Noir believe citizens should be allowed to own those as well. You also have to wonder what happened to their sloganeering about “Blue Lives Matter” and “Supporting the Troops”? Because that is who these phony “patriots” are fantasizing about going to war against.

This whole discussion came dangerously close to a televised conspiracy plot for treason. It exposes these crackpots as anti-American poseurs who have orgasms dreaming of wartime adventures they’re too cowardly to ever engage in. And it is more of the insanity that drove hundreds of Trump supporters to attack Congress in an attempt to overturn an election. If they get their way, there will be further attempts to stage authoritarian coups. And the blood will be on the hands of Carlson, Noir, and Fox News.

Fox News Wants Lincoln Project to ‘Shut Down’ for the Same Offenses as – Fox News!

The Olympic-grade hypocrisy of Fox News continues to lap the field of ultra-rightist media hacks.
There is literally no limit to how flagrantly they will attack others for the crimes they are so conspicuously guilty of.

In recent weeks the anti-Trump Republican group, the Lincoln Project, has been embroiled in a controversy over the alleged misbehavior of one of their principles, John Weaver. He has been accused of sexual harassment and subsequently resigned from the organization. The scandal was immediately leapt upon by conservatives and Trump supporters, not because they care about sexual harassment, but as an opportunity to dispose of an effective group of Trump critics with solid Republican credentials.

One of the things that distinguishes liberals and Democrats from conservatives and Republicans is how they respond to misconduct in their ranks. The left acknowledges their failings and holds their own accountable. The right, on the other hand, defends their scoundrels, denies any wrongdoing, and embraces them even more tightly.

On Thursday Fox News joined the opportunistic rabble on the right that has been going after the Lincoln Project. They published an article on their website that called for the group to be shut down, advocating for…

“…the dissolution of the Lincoln Project, the anti-Trump political action committee that has imploded in the past month from accusations of a sexual harassment cover-up, financial skulduggery, and a toxic work environment.”

Fine. That’s not a particularly unreasonable position. And it’s one that is shared by many liberals who are appalled by the revelations of Weaver’s behavior. In fact, Fox’s article references John F. Harris’ piece on Politico as its source.

The problem is that Fox News was never so outraged by similar – and worse – behavior by their own personalities and executives. Fox’s founder, Roger Ailes, was accused by numerous women of sexual harassment and assault. So was Bill O’Reilly, Fox’s top host until he was fired in the wake of several multimillion dollar lawsuits. Fox News president Bill Shine was forced out for having covered for O’Reilly. Several Foxies (Pete Hegseth, Jessie Watters, Ed Henry) were caught in inappropriate, extramarital affairs with much younger coworkers. And Kimberly Guilfoyle, Don Trump Jr’s current girlfriend, was fired for sending her colleagues dick-pics.

Speaking of Donnie Junior, who left his wife and five children for Guilfoyle, he couldn’t resist the temptation to pile on New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo with this tweet:

Once again, Donnie is wrong. Democrats have not been shy about criticizing Cuomo, some even calling for him to resign. But Donnie fails to mention the dozens of credible accusations of both harassment and assault against his father. Now that he is a civilian, those cases are going to start coming to court.

There is no excuse for the behavior that is alleged to have been engaged in by Weaver or Cuomo or Daddy Trump. But the remedy, according to Fox News, is questionable. The Lincoln Project doesn’t need to be shut down over conduct that was limited to one person. But if that’s the argument that Fox wants to make, then Fox News should be shut down for the conduct of multiple persons and their protectors.

And, of course, Trump should be figuratively shut down as a candidate or public figure for the remainder of his heinous life. But then, there are lots of other reasons for that besides his sexual predation. For instance, financial corruption, charity theft, academic fraud, presidential lying, enriching himself with taxpayer funds, and treason against America. If there were ever good reasons for “canceling” someone, Trump has exceeded the limit.

Eric Trump Is Right For Once: ‘The MAGA Movement Is Going Nowhere’

The morning after Democrats succeeded in gaining the majority in the Senate with the election of Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff, Donald Trump showed up at the grossly misnamed “Save America” rally in Washington, D.C. He proceeded to deliver the same tedious speech he has been disgorging for months, with a few more examples of the flagrantly false allegations of election fraud.

Fox News, of course, aired the whole speech live and uninterrupted. It was an hour plus of whining, lying, and infantile insulting. And there was no shortage of ranting about paranoid delusions of a “Deep State” cabal aligned against him that now even includes Mike Pence.

Trump’s despondence over the defeat he was dealt by President-Elect Joe Biden was apparent in his seething tirade. He simply can’t acknowledge the reality that America has thoroughly rejected him and his crime family. Speaking of which, Trump’s spawn Eric visited with Sean Hannity on Fox News Tuesday night to expound upon the Trump tribulations. And, surprisingly, Eric actually said something that was not only true, but which could unite Democrats and Republicans going forward:

“I can tell you, Sean, any senator or any congressmen – meaning on this side – that does not fight tomorrow – I’m telling you, their political career is over, because the MAGA movement is going nowhere. My father’s created the greatest political movement in American history and, I’m telling you, they will get primaried the next time around. And they will lose.”

Indeed! “The MAGA movement is going nowhere.” It’s been going nowhere for four years now. And the American people have soundly repudiated the dishonesty, division, hostility, and incompetence, that have been the hallmarks of MAGA madness in the Trump Era. So going forward the bowel “movement” created by Daddy Trump will descend to even deeper depths of irrelevancy. The political careers of those associated with it will fade into well-deserved obscurity. And the new Democratic majority in the Senate, made possible by the victories of two Democrats in the formerly deep red state of Georgia, is the first sign of the tectonic political shift that’s in progress.

What’s more, Eric’s determination to primary any Republican that he and his father deem insufficiently worshipful of Dear Leader is a political promise that Americans of every political stripe can support. The nation is more than ready for the GOP (Greedy One Percent) to be swept from power, and any help that the Trumps want to provide, however inadvertent, is welcome. Although, it’s hard to imagine that they could be more helpful than they have been to date via their repulsive policies and behaviors.

For his part, Donald Trump is fully on board with Eric’s strategy of political suicide. During his address to Wednesday’s MAGA rally, Trump said that “We have to get our people to fight. And if they don’t fight we have to primary the hell out of them.”

Unfortunately, Trump’s incitement to “fight” has been taken literally by his cult disciples, who are now storming the Capitol as members of Congress are gathered to certify the Electoral College vote. Ironically, they are disrupting their own Republican members who are objecting to the certification. And Trump’s seditious lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, joined the rush of traitors to whip up even more hostility in the crowd, saying “Let’s have trial by combat.”

The inflammatory rhetoric of Trump and his cronies, along with the unlawful breach of the Capitol, are further evidence of the treasonous intentions of Trump and his faithless brigades. They are battling with the police officers they have pretended to support. They are harassing the press (including Fox News). And they are employing violence in order to obstruct the business of the people and to advance their traitorous objectives.

This is not going to end well in the short term. But longer term it is going to cement the demise of the violent, unpatriotic, MAGA movement, just as Eric predicted. And Donald Trump must ultimately be held accountable as its leader and primary agitator.

LISTEN: Trump Threatens Georgia Officials For Not Helping Him Subvert the Election

If anyone is still looking for a smoking gun to implicate Donald Trump in a criminal act, Trump himself just fired it. Shooting off his big mouth again, Trump openly pressured Georgia’s Secretary of State to alter the the election results in order to make Trump the victor. And it’s all been captured on tape.

Donald Trump, Impeach

The Washington Post broke this story with the release of excerpts from an hour long phone call between Trump and Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. Trump is heard explicitly pressuring Raffensperger and even threatening to charge him with criminal acts if he doesn’t comply with Trump’s flagrantly unlawful demands:

“You know what they did and you’re not reporting it. That’s a criminal offense. And you can’t let that happen. That’s a big risk to you and to Ryan [Germany], your lawyer. That’s a big risk.

“They are shredding ballots in my opinion, based on what I’ve heard. And they are removing machinery, and they’re moving it as fast as they can. Both of which are criminal finds. And you can’t let it happen, and you are letting it happen. You know, I’m notifying you that you’re letting it happen.”

So Trump was officially giving notice to these Georgia officials that he intends to hold them criminally liable for the fake offenses he is accusing them of. That notice was clearly meant to scare them into submission. And by his own admission, his demands to overturn the election were based entirely on “rumors” and “what I’ve heard.” He still has no actual evidence, which is why he already lost about 60 lawsuits alleging election fraud.

It’s a desperate act by a desperate man who knows that when he leaves the White House he will be the one liable for an array of criminal and civil violations of the law. It’s literally driving Trump crazy (or crazier) than he’s ever been. And it exposes him to even more legal peril than he was in prior to this bizarre incident.

But that’s not the only act of desperation by Trump this weekend. On Saturday he dispatched his loyal but incompetent trade advisor, Peter Navarro, to Fox News to assert a blatantly unconstitutional “right” to delay Joe Biden’s inauguration. And Fox’s “Judge” Jeanine Pirro happily embraced the ludicrous notion.

The Trump tape (full hour and transcript here) also contained a familiar tactic used by Trump to twist the arms of his victims. He told Raffensperger that “All I want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have. Because we won the state.” That’s the preamble to his “quid pro quo” that culminated with the threats above.

That’s exactly the same thing he tried on President Zelensky of Ukraine, which got him impeached. And it isn’t too late to impeach him again. Even if he’s out of office when the impeachment is conducted, It’s useful to establish the illegality of his behavior and to prohibit him from holding office in the future. It is also necessary as an attempt to deter him from committing more crimes in the few weeks he is still president. Lord knows what he’s capable of at this point, and in this deranged state of mind.

WTF? Trump Pardons Russia for Hacking U.S., Blames China

After days of conspicuous silence, Donald Trump has finally addressed the report that Russia hacked into several U.S. government agencies including the Pentagon, the Treasury Department, and Homeland Security. It was a cyber attack that officials described as “significant and alarming.”

Trump’s appalling negligence and dereliction of duty is emblematic of his weakness as a “leader,” as well his servile relationship with Vladimir Putin. And as if to reinforce his dangerous deficiencies and suspect loyalties, Trump took to his Twitter machine to post this on Saturday morning…

Trump is, once again, contradicting his own administration to arrive at these ludicrous conclusions. Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo said that “This was a very significant effort, and I think it’s the case that now we can say pretty clearly that it was the Russians that engaged in this activity.”

What’s more, it wasn’t sufficient for Trump to absolve Russia of its obvious guilt. Nope, he was compelled to cast blame on China with absolutely zero evidence. And he also lashed out at the media for reporting the truth as supplied by his own intelligence agencies. And even found a way to connect this to his fantastical delusions that he won the election. But at least he got it right that this is all an “embarrassment for the USA,” although he fails to realize that he’s the reason.

It’s hard to elaborate on this blatant abdication of duty, patriotism, and trust. Trump has literally given up on pretending that he is the least bit interested in the welfare of America or it’s people. He has demonstrated that previously by presiding over an utterly incompetent management of the deadly coronavirus pandemic that has taken the lives of more than 320,000 Americans.

And now Trump is sucking up again to his BFF Putin who he has never once been able to criticize. Whether it was Russia’s interference in the 2016 election, or his placing bounties on the heads of American soldiers in Afghanistan, Trump has reliably come to Putin’s defense. So it leaves us with one pressing question: Whose side is Trump on?
