Trump’s Craven Christmas Prayer for Presidential Immunity and an End to Yuletide Witch Hunts

It’s Christmas time, and Donald Trump is joining in on the festivities with caroling in the spirit of the season. Except he’s not getting the words exactly right. “Hark the heinous angel,” whines Trump petulantly about losing an election three years ago and being held accountable for inciting an insurrection and trying to undermine democracy.

Donald Trump Christmas

As is his tradition for the holidays, Trump is filled with anger and animosity toward everyone who he feels has failed to be sufficiently worshipful toward him. The wannabe messiah who pretends to have liberated Americans to say “Merry Christmas,” has a rather bizarre impression of what that means. Meanwhile, President Biden and his family gather together to celebrate the joy that this season brings, despite Fox News mocking them for it…

SEE THIS: Fox News Exposes Biden’s ‘Freak-O-Rama’ Plot to Swap Christmas Cheer with Marxist Hate

On the day before Christmas, Trump took to his failing social media scam, Truth Social, to spread the hatred in his heart. Rather than thinking about family or gifts or world peace, Trump was consumed by the fear of his mounting legal tribulations. He wrote that…

“I wasn’t campaigning, the Election was over. I was doing my duty as President to expose and further investigate a Rigged and Stolen Election. It was my obligation to do so, and the proof found is voluminous and irrefutable. Therefore, among other reasons, of course I am entitled to IMMUNITY. ADDITIONALLY, I DID NOTHING WRONG. Stop the Witch Hunt NOW!”

How inspiring! It’s difficult to tell exactly what Trump was yammering about. But a little research reveals that he was upset with recent developments with regard to his indictments for election interference. His attorneys filed a motion the day before asking that the charges be dismissed. As reported by CNN

“Donald Trump urged a federal appeals court to throw out the federal election subversion criminal case in Washington, DC, again arguing in a filing late Saturday that he is protected under presidential immunity.” […]

“The filing reiterates what the former president’s lawyers have repeatedly asserted – that Trump was working in his official capacity as president to ‘ensure election integrity’ when he allegedly undermined the 2020 election results and therefore has immunity.”

Trump’s legal arguments have all been rejected in prior court proceedings. But that doesn’t stop him from repeating them again, hoping for a different outcome. He also isn’t deterred by the sheer absurdity of his claims. How can he assert that he wasn’t campaigning, and that the election was over, when everything he was trying to do was aimed at overturning the certified election results?

What’s more, Trump’s claims of “presidential immunity” are so preposterously broad that they would indemnify a president from any crime, including murder. Does he really want to set that legal precedent while Joe Biden is still in the White House? Not that Biden would ever do anything like that, but in Trump’s mind, and the minds of his glassy-eyed cult followers, it’s more grist for their crackpot conspiracy theory mills.

Trump’s post also regurgitates his frequent claim to have “voluminous and irrefutable” proof of election fraud. It remains a mystery as to why he has declined to present any of it after more than three years and 60+ court cases. Equally mysterious is Trump’s argument that prosecuting him is unconstitutional. His filing makes the ludicrous assertion that…

“Before any single prosecutor can ask a court to sit in judgment of the President’s conduct, Congress must have approved of it by impeaching and convicting the President. That did not happen here, and so President Trump has absolute immunity. [and that Trump’s indictment] threatens to launch cycles of recrimination and politically motivated prosecution that will plague our Nation for many decades to come.'”

Where Trump gets the idea that Congress must impeach and convict a president prior to any prosecution is anyone’s guess. It’s certainly not anywhere in the Constitution. Nor is his nonsensical notion of immunity. However, he is reminding everyone that he was impeached twice and the second time he was convicted by a majority of the Senate – including seven Republicans – but short of the necessary two-thirds.

More troubling is that Trump is asserting that presidents are above the law and free to commit crimes at will with total impunity. Once again, is he comfortable with Biden having that power? Furthermore, the only party threatening “to launch cycles of recrimination and politically motivated prosecution,” is Trump. And he has done so explicitly.

This is Trump’s Christmas message to his flock. And as with everything else, it is all about Trump. In the midst of the season of giving, Trump can think only of himself. There are no well wishes of joy and peace, and no photos with loving family and excited grandchildren. There is nothing that reflects the harmony and hopefulness of the holidays. In Trump’s demented mind there is only hatred and vengeance. So Merry Christmas to MAGA, and all a good fight?

Traitor Trump Posts Video of Putin Supporting Him and Attacking the ‘Rottenness’ of U.S. Politics

For most of his life Donald Trump has made it a practice of bragging about his relationships with notable people. Whether it was celebrities or athletes or politicians, Trump latched unto anyone who he thought could advance his status in society. It was mostly a futile and pathetic effort that only emphasized his own desperation and impotence.

Donald Trump Vladimir Putin

Nevertheless, Trump believed that such associations made him more popular and he pursued them relentlessly. It’s why he rebranded his failing reality TV game show “The Apprentice,” as “Celebrity Apprentice.” It’s why he couldn’t resist dining with the repugnant anti-Semite Kanye West. And it’s why he isn’t shy about expressing his admiration for brutal tyrants like Kim Jong Un, Xi Jinping, and even Adolf Hitler.

SEE THIS: FOX NEWS IS APPALLED that Trump Quoting Hitler Might Get More Press than a Selfie Sex Video

Among the dictators who Trump idolizes is, of course, his BFF, Vladimir Putin. Trump is still grateful for Putin’s help getting him elected in 2016. He took Putin’s word over that of U.S. intelligence as to whether Russia interfered in that election. And he has never had a derogatory thing to say about the Russian despot. To the contrary, he praises him as “strong” and “brilliant.”

On Sunday Trump went further and posted a video to his failing social media scam, Truth Social, wherein Putin had some praise of his own for his flunky, Donald Trump. The praise comes in the form of criticism of President Biden. Trump seems to think that Putin taking shots at Biden helps him, even though it’s coming from an avowed enemy of America. In the clip Putin brought up the legal tribulations of Trump and offered his opinion about what he regarded as political persecution…

“As for Trump’s prosecution, what is going on in present circumstances is very good for us. Because it shows rottenness in the U.S. political system that can’t claim to teach others democracy. What happens to Trump is politically motivated prosecution of a political rival.”

It is jarring to hear Putin, who regularly has his rivals incarcerated or murdered, complaining about Trump being the victim of a “politically motivated prosecution.” It’s also 100% false. Putin is agreeing with Trump’s lies that the prosecutions by special counsel, Jack Smith, and state attorneys general are biased. He has no more proof of that than Trump or his Republican confederates do. But as far as Trump is concerned, it’s a vote of confidence from someone he respects and, in many ways, answers to. Although it should be troubling to the American people that Trump is leaning on Putin’s legal analysis for support.

It’s also important to remember that the 91 felony counts pending against Trump were issued by an independent Grand Jury comprised of citizen jurors, not a political agency. But Putin’s remarks conveniently include criticism of the U.S. political system that both he Trump are obsessed with denigrating. They both benefit by tearing down the American system and its values.

SEE ALSO: Trump’s Derangement Spirals Ever Downward as He Impotently Promises to Prove His Innocence

By posting this video, Trump is promoting and agreeing with Putin’s attack on America’s administration of law. That is a profoundly un-American position for a former – and prospective future – president of the United States to take. It exposes his disloyalty to the nation and his allegiance to one of our most determined and hostile foes. That alone should disqualify Trump from holding any office of influence in the United States.

Unfortunately, if Trump’s cult followers, and the right-wing press, don’t see any problem with Trump quoting Hitler, they aren’t going to object to his embrace of Putin either. They are fellow travelers on a path to authoritarian fascism, and aren’t going to let a little thing like Democracy or the Constitution get in their way. So it’s up to the rest of us exercise our democratic rights to vote them out of every office in order to preserve our principles and freedom.

Upcoming Republican Primary Debates May Have Only Two Candidates – But Still No Cowardly Trump

The race for the Republican Party’s nomination for President in 2024 has been a laughably lame affair that appears to be modeled after a third rate reality TV show. It’s “Apprentice – White House” without the boorish board room finale where the playacting potentate pretends to fire one of the contemptible contestants.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump, Republican, GOP

From the start of election season the Republican National Committee (RNC) assumed dictatorial control of the production of these debates with a series of decrees that sought to establish their supreme authority over the process and the candidates. For instance, they prohibited all candidates from participating in any debate not sanctioned by the RNC. They also demanded that all candidates sign a pledge to support whoever the eventual GOP nominee was. As if Trump would keep such a promise.

SEE THIS: RNC Chair Thinks Trump Would Honor a Pledge to Support the GOP Nominee if it Isn’t Him

Apparently the RNC is softening their stance. They are now saying that they will waive their demands to boycott non-RNC sponsored debates. Perhaps that’s because the debates they have produced so far have been fiascos that featured infantile tantrums while avoiding any matter of interest to voters. They have also resulted in sequentially lower ratings for each broadcast. Consequently, CNN has just announced that they will sponsor two debates prior to the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary.

CNN’s announcement said that “The events will provide Republican voters an opportunity to hear the governing philosophies of the leading candidates.” But that seems like a lofty goal that they are unlikely to achieve. After all, the previous debates were hardly forums for learning about the candidates “governing philosophies.” And that isn’t likely to improve considering the conditions they have set for participation…

“To qualify for participation in the Iowa debate, candidates must receive at least 10% in three separate national and/or [Iowa/New Hampshire] state polls.”

By that criteria, the only candidates, other than Donald Trump, who currently qualify for the Iowa debate are Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley. And the only non-Trump candidates who currently qualify for the New Hampshire debate are Nikki Haley and Chris Christie. There is still time for others to meet the criteria prior to the debates, but there are no guarantees that they will succeed.

Should the debates wind up being the head-to-head matchups noted above, they might actually be more interesting. And the absence of the obnoxious blowhard,” Vivek Ramaswamy, would be a welcome relief.

For his part, Trump has declined to participate in any of the four debates already held. And given his increasingly severe psychological slippage, that’s probably a wise decision on the part of his handlers. These days Trump spends most of his time posting either hostile attacks on his perceived enemies, or cultish adoration of himself on his failing Truth Social scam. And his conspicuous cowardice, along with his mental maladies, keep him from sharing the debate stage with his primary challengers, which would only embarrass him and his party further.

So even as the roster of Republicans is reduced with each week that goes by, Trump can be expected to cower in his Mar-a-Lago bunker launching spitballs at his foes, who will deftly avoid any criticism of Dear Leader. And the RNC will continue to prop him up as their inevitable nominee, despite his unmistakable cognitive decline and authoritarian aspirations. This is the state of the Trump Era Republican Party.

Lara Trump Flips Charges – that Donald Trump is Running for President to Avoid Prison – to Biden

It has become increasingly clear that the primary campaign strategy of Donald Trump as he seeks to reoccupy the White House is a variation on the elementary school debate response, “I know you are, but what am I?” It shouldn’t surprise anyone that the Trump camp would revert to such a childish tactic considering that it aligns so well with the stunted emotional development of Trump and his MAGA cult followers.

Click here to Tweet this article

Joe Biden, Donald Trump

By falsely accusing President Biden of crimes that Trump himself has actually been committing, the Trump “brain trust” thinks they can flip the script and redirect valid criticisms of Trump to his opponent. Either that or just muddy the waters so that the criticism of Trump isn’t taken seriously. It’s projection on a grand scale that only affirms the maliciousness and dishonesty of Trump. He recently tried to invoke the same ploy to deflect accurate descriptions of Trump as an aspiring dictator…

SEE THIS: Trump Cloddishly Dodges Hannity’s Softball Questions About Whether He Would Be a Dictator

On Thursday morning Lara Trump was the messenger of this maneuver on Newsmax, the network that currently employs her as contributor and fill-in host. She was asked about recent remarks by Biden, who when asked about the potential of his facing a rematch with Trump said that “If Trump wasn’t running, I’m not sure I’d be running.” In response to a follow up question about whether any other Democrats could beat Trump, Biden added, “I’m not the only one, But I will defeat him.”

That led daughter-in-law Lara to contrive a crackpot theory that Biden is only running to avoid future investigations conducted by a weaponized Trump Justice Department. It’s a theory that she stole from Democratic legal experts who have plausibly surmised that it is Trump who is hoping to avoid prison by winning a second term. Lara said that…

“Very interesting to hear Joe Biden say that I guess the only reason he’s decided to run is because of Donald Trump. Well, is that because he thinks that Donald Trump might investigate his family even further? You know, you look at this situation with Hunter Biden. I think a lot of people might, might draw some correlation there and say, well, maybe the only reason that Joe Biden is trying to hang on to power is because his family depends on him trying to continue the cover up that we know has happened for the Biden crime family. It’s very interesting. This is nothing new. This is part of of the politics that we see here in the United States of America. But people know very well that Donald Trump is not a dictator, of course.”

First of all, Biden never said that the “only” reason he’s running is avoid being investigated by Trump. He merely said that he wasn’t “sure” if would run. He has long held the position that he is best suited to defeat Trump, and that if Trump were not running, he could sit it out.

More to the point, Lara’s contention that Biden is afraid of any legal scrutiny is wholly manufactured in her head. Unlike Trump, Biden has never tried to evade any legal inquiries or subpoenas. Plus, there are no pending indictments or charges that he would need to worry about. Nor have Republicans been able to come up with any shred of evidence of any wrongdoing on Biden’s part, despite years of trying. Trump, on the other hand, is facing 91 felony counts in four indictments. So it’s Trump, not Biden, who has some realistic fears of future prosecution and incarceration.

SEE ALSO: Trump’s Derangement Spirals Ever Downward as He Impotently Promises to Prove His Innocence

What’s more, Lara’s phony projection is a de facto admission that her father-in-law poses a real threat to Biden. She is conceding the possibility that Trump would abuse his power as president to persecute Biden and his other political enemies.

It’s also notable that Lara closed these comments by declaring that “Donald Trump is not a dictator.” You know you’re not winning an argument If you have to conclude it with a public denial like that. Even so, her denial is contrary to the rhetoric that Trump has been spewing. His hostile references to “retribution,” locking up his critics, building concentration camps, and his adoration of foreign tyrants, are proof, in his own words, of his nefarious intentions.

Trump Blows Blatantly Racist Dog Whistles to Motivate MAGA Voter Intimidation Squads in 2024

Three years after the presidential election of 2020, Donald Trump is still whining about having decisively lost to Joe Biden. He is clearly obsessed with not being able to beat a candidate that he tried to dismiss as a senile communist. And Trump has made his delusional despondency over that defeat the foundation of his current campaign to reoccupy the White House.

Donald Trump, MAGA

Never mind that Trump failed to produce a shred of evidence of any his unfounded allegations that the election was “rigged and stolen,” despite repeated promises to do so. He had plenty of opportunities to provide his evidence in the 60+ court cases that he lost, and innumerable media appearances. But for some reason he has chosen to keep his alleged “proof” secret and just keep making unfulfilled assurances that it will all be revealed soon.

SEE THIS: YEAH, RIGHT! Trump Promises an ‘Irrefutable,’ ‘Completely Exonerating’ Report on Election Fraud

In a speech in Iowa on Saturday, Trump once again declined to expose the rampant election fraud that exists only in his fevered imagination. However, he did repeat his complaints for the umpteenth time, while babbling about “millions and millions of votes” that he pretends to believe were swiped from him, even in states run by his Republican supporters (video below).

“You know, the one thing they don’t want to talk about is the election. Because they’re guilty as hell. They cheated like hell. They know it. And you’ll never find out all the ways. But we don’t need all the ways. Because I think it was 22,000 votes separated it. And we have millions and millions of votes. It’s a very sad thing.”

Instead of delivering any proof, Trump warned his glassy-eyed cult followers that the election in 2024 is likely to be “rigged and stolen” as well. And in order to prevent that, he offered some particularly offensive advice…

“So the most important part of what is coming up is to guard the vote, and you should go into Detroit, and you should go into Philadelphia, and you should go into some of these places, Atlanta, and you should go into some of these places, and we have to watch those votes when they come in. When they’re being, you know, shoved around in wheelbarrows, and dumped on the floor, and everyone’s saying ‘what’s going…’ We’re like a third world nation.”

Notice that Trump is telling his rally attendees in Iowa to go to specific cities – Detroit, Philadelphia, and Atlanta – to “watch those votes.” Then he paints a frightening picture of villainous wheelbarrows rolling around with evil intent to whisk away any ballots marked for Trump.

It’s important to recognize what the cities Trump named have in common. They are all precincts that have a high percentage of Black voters in states that could swing either way. You’ll notice that he didn’t demand that votes be “guarded” in Des Moines or Louisville. So what Trump is asking is that his disciples travel to places with diverse electorates and set up shop to intimidate the voters there.

Trump is signaling that he already believes that he’s going to lose in 2024. So he needs to lay the groundwork for another few years of yammering about nonexistent election fraud. And his strategy is to try to suppress and/or invalidate the votes of minorities. Which is a interesting considering that he recently told his own supporters not to bother with voting at all because “We’ve got plenty of votes”

That’s right. Trump doesn’t want his own people to vote for him. They just need to “watch ‘those’ voters.” And somehow that will result in a victory for Trump. It’s actually a great piece of advice if his intent is to reelect Biden. His voters stay home and “watch” the rest of the nation – especially minorities – vote in droves for Biden and other Democrats. 2024 can’t come soon enough.

Crybaby Trump Whines About Media Accurately Reporting Low Attendance at His Cult Rallies

For as long as Donald Trump has been in public life he has been obsessed with exalting himself as the smartest, handsomest, bestest at everything that any human being ever attempted. It’s the hallmark of a malignant narcissist, which, ironically, is something that he actually has excelled at. He glorifies himself – as he would say – at levels never seen before.

Donald Trump Pacifier Fox

On Wednesday morning Trump took to his pitifully failing social media scam, Truth Social, to send more love letters to himself. He posted fifty-one (51!) vainglorious comments in two hours. Every one of which extolled the magnificence that he sees in his funhouse mirror. He harbors a messianic mindset in which he is the sole savior of all mankind.

SEE THIS: Wannabe Messiah Trump Claims that Only He Can ‘End the Bloodshed and Bring Peace to the World’

Among the comments Trump posted was one wherein he employed another skill for which he is proud: Whining! He has literally described himself as “the most fabulous whiner [because] I keep whining and whining until I win.” On this occasion his lament had to do with not being recognized as the most beloved figure in American politics. He began by complaining that…

“Many times when I’m making a Speech, which are always sold out …”

Let’s interrupt Trump here for a moment to note that none of his speeches are ever “sold out.” That’s because they cost nothing to attend. It’s much easier to get a large turnout for a free event. Then Trump continued, saying that…

“Fake News will watch people come down from the rafters (bad seats) onto the floor—nearer the stage…”

Sorry, but another interruption is necessary to note that Trump is actually conceding that his event was not sold out. If it were there would not have been any unoccupied spaces in the front for the backbenchers to move up to. He continues…

“As soon as this happens, the Lamestream Media starts taking pictures of these once fully occupied areas and seats, and then come out with a story…’Trump didn’t have a Sellout.'”

According to Trump the “bad seats” that were abandoned were quickly filled by fresh Deplorables who were waiting outside to get in. However, the pictures of Trump’s rallies with many empty seats were taken well into his speech. The only outsiders still hanging around were protesters and press.

This is typical gaslighting by Trump. He has been doing it since he blatantly lied about his poorly attended inaugural in January of 2017, which he said “was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration.” It wasn’t even close.

Undeterred by reality, Trump concluded his comment by stating that “This is a Movement like none other, and the Failing Media should get on board now.” Well, by definition it’s only the “Failing Media” that would want to “get on board.” but more to the point, Trump appears to believe that it is the media’s role to join the cult movements of wannabe dictators. He’s going to be crushed when he finds that the only followers will be his flunkies at Fox News, Newsmax, and the rest of the rightist propaganda press. And if we’re lucky, they’ll follow him right into prison.

LOLOL: Mike Lindell is Ready to Lead the Republican National Committee if Asked By Trump

The 2024 presidential election will be profoundly consequential for the nation. It will be a choice between Joe Biden, a senior statesman who has proven that he works for the people and respects the Constitution, and Donald Trump, a 78 year old megalomaniac who is facing 91 felony charges, assaulted women, incited a violent insurrection, stole and disseminated classified documents, and who undermined democracy and aspires to reign as a tyrant.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump, Mike Lindell, MyPillow

That ought to be an easy choice. But given the media’s fixation on ratings-driven, horserace politics, and their attachment to covering trivialities such as Biden’s age, rather than Trump’s openly fascist aspirations, the decision appears to be closer than any sense of rationality – or sanity – can explain.

SEE THIS: Trump’s Uber-MAGA 2024 Campaign Message Reeks of the 3rd Reich Rhetoric of the ‘Final Battle’

With Election Day still about a year away, Trump has already succeeded in turning the campaign season into a nightmarish version of a circus sideshow. When he isn’t sitting and scowling in a courtroom, he’s bellowing bombastically at one of his cult rallies. And with every unhinged outburst, Trump affirms his unfitness for office.

However, the freak show produced by Trump and his obedient flunkies in the Republican Party has only just begun. And one of the signs that the worst is yet to come is Trump’s recent souring on Ronna McDaniel, the chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC). Like everything else in Trump’s mind, it is “rigged” against him. He is upset that the party is continuing to hold primary debates – all of which he has chickened out of – when he believes that they should just crown him the “King of the GOP,” despite the fact that not a single vote has yet been cast.

In this swirling political chaos, former Trump advisor Steve Bannon chatted with the MyPillow huckster, Mike Lindell, and posed what he thought was a serious question…

Bannon: Would you volunteer to take over the RNC if the president so asked you?
Lindell: A hundred percent I would. Then I would have all the tools I need to secure these elections immediately. We’ve already got everything in place. We just need resources and their blessing behind us. Absolutely.”

REALLY? Lindell has been insisting for years that he has irrefutable proof that the 2020 election was rife with fraud. He has promised to reveal his proof several times, but for some reason has never done so. And this election-denying, conspiracy crackpot thinks that he would be a reasonable chairperson of the Republican Party? That is a patently absurd notion.

Although, in comparison to the current state of the GOP, it’s not as absurd as it might seem. The RNC is already a full-on farce. Last year they announced that they had withdrawn from the bipartisan Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD), which has organized the general election debates since 1987. They accused it of being biased and prohibited any GOP candidates from participating in CPD debates.

SEE ALSO: RNC Doubles Down on Cowardice, Cancels Debates to Shield Snowflake Trump From More Humiliation

There are good reasons for Trump to decline these debates. He will not participate in any event that he doesn’t control or isn’t run by a certified Trump-fluffer. He knows that he would just humiliate himself were he to do so. His ravings are becoming more and more bizarre and unintelligible.

In just the past few weeks Trump has suggested that top American generals should be executed. He proposed mass deportations of migrants and refugees. He promises to build concentration camps for his political opponents. He accuses the media of treason. He even called for the termination of the Constitution. And then there are these cringeworthy clues of cognitive collapse…

  • Trump thinks that he ran against Obama in 2020.
  • Trump said that North Korea has 1.4 billion people. That’s China.
  • Trump praised Viktor Orbán as the leader of Turkey. He’s the leader of Hungary.
  • Trump wrongly said that Hungary shares a border with Russia.
  • Trump warned that Biden would lead the country into World War II.
  • Trump boasted that he was the first person to notice that U.S. spells “us.”
  • Trump repeatedly stated that purchasing bread requires a photo ID

With evidence of psychological disfunction like that, no rational person would vote for Trump. Although he did get the approval of his doctor, an osteopath who isn’t qualified to perform physical examinations. Trump released a suspiciously vague note from his “doctor” that declares that he is in “excellent” health. Most suspicious are the claims that he has “reduced his weight,” has an “improved diet,” and engages in “daily physical activity.” Yeah, right. Recall that Trump’s last doctor’s note was written by Trump himself.

Considering all of the above, how could it hurt to have Lindell chair the RNC? Can we really say that McDaniel is any better? At least it would be entertaining, if you’re into horror stories.

Trump’s Uber-MAGA 2024 Campaign Message Reeks of the 3rd Reich Rhetoric of the ‘Final Battle’

The 2024 presidential election is now less than a year away. And the leading candidate for the Republican nomination is still Donald Trump, the twice-impeached, four-time indicted, court-affirmed rapist, who has been ruled liable for financial fraud, and been adjudicated as an insurrectionist. And that’s the best that GOP can do.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump

Despite Trump’s lead in the Republican primaries, he has been conducting an unconventional and patently bizarre campaign. He refuses to participate in debates because he’s too afraid of having to confront his GOP challengers in a situation that he doesn’t control. Instead, he is resuming his cult rallies that aren’t designed to expand his support, but only for his own gratification and the ego-juicing he gets from his worshipful disciples. Absent that narcissistic validation, his only public appearances would be his hallway harangues outside of the courtrooms where he tediously repeats his attacks on the justice system and the media.

SEE THIS: ‘It May Just Be that Mr. Trump is Incoherent’ – Says NBC Legal Analyst About Trump’s Testimony

Trump’s visit to Iowa this week provided additional proof of his rapidly declining mental state, as if any more were needed. His speech was mostly filled with what his fans regard as his “greatest hits,” including his relentless whining that the 2020 election was “rigged and stolen,” that America is “going to hell,” that only he can save it, and that President Biden is old – a whole three years older than Trump, but much healthier.

However, Trump’s language is creeping more closely to that of his authoritarian heroes (Putin, Kim, etc.) every day. And the resemblances to the fascist doctrines that shape his political aspirations are impossible to ignore. For instance, in Iowa, as well as on his pitifully failing social media scam, Truth Social, Trump performed his best Hitler impersonation, raging that…

“2024 is our final battle. With you at my side, we will demolish the Deep State, we will expel the warmongers from our government, we will drive out the globalists, we will cast out the Communists, Marxists, and Fascists, we will throw off the sick political class that hates our Country, we will rout the Fake News Media, we will evict Joe Biden from the White House, and we will FINISH THE JOB ONCE AND FOR ALL!”

Take a moment to digest how desperately deranged and consumed by hate Trump is here. He is fear mongering about a “final battle” wherein he will “FINISH THE JOB ONCE AND FOR ALL!” Sounds a bit like a “final solution” doesn’t it? And his rant includes threats to “demolish,” “expel,” “drive out,” “cast out,” “throw off,” “rout,” and “evict” his legions of enemies who include “the Deep State,” “warmongers,” “globalists,” “Communists,” “Marxists,” “Fascists,” “the sick political class,” “Fake News Media,” and of course his arch nemesis, Joe Biden. And those are just the positive parts of his 2024 agenda.

Trump is running a campaign composed of dystopian nightmares of “retribution” (his word) that are clearly keeping him awake at night. But he has nothing positive or hopeful to offer to the country. It’s all grossly depressing and drenched with dread and the Nazi flotsam he favors.

SEE ALSO: Trump Spokesman Uses Vile Nazi Rhetoric in His Denial that Trump Used Vile Nazi Rhetoric

Contrast that with Biden’s actual accomplishments, including the American Rescue Plan, the Inflation Reduction Act, and legislation that has benefited workers, veterans, women, seniors, domestic businesses, students, access to healthcare, the climate, voters, and more.

The record is clear, vote for Trump, a 78 year old megalomaniac who has abused power, assaulted women, incited a violent insurrection, stole, hoarded and disseminated classified documents, is facing 91 felony charges, and who undermined democracy and aspires to reign as a tyrant. Or vote for Biden, a senior statesman who has proven that he works for the people and loves the country and the Constitution. It really shouldn’t be a difficult choice.

HUH? Trump Claims He Wanted to Go Back to the Capitol on January 6th to ‘Stop the Problem’

It has been three years since Donald Trump decisively lost the 2020 presidential election to Joe Biden. But he he is still whining petulantly about it and making preposterous, unsupported claims that the election was “stollen” and “rigged.” His obsession with his humiliating defeat is clearly gnawing at his humongous, yet fragile, ego. And he doesn’t intend to let it go.

Donald Trump Insurrection

Trump has repeatedly promised to reveal the “massive” and “Irrefutable” evidence of voter fraud that he has stashed away somewhere, but for three years has refused to present to either the press or the courts. Either he is withholding it for the dramatic effect of a reality TV cliffhanger or, more likely, it doesn’t exist. (Spoiler: It’s the latter).

SEE THIS: YEAH, RIGHT! Trump Promises an ‘Irrefutable,’ ‘Completely Exonerating’ Report on Election Fraud

The farcical voter fraud fiction that Trump persists in peddling to his cult followers continues to grow in both deceit and decibels. The more dishonest his blather, the louder he bellows. New permutations keep arising from the trash heap of his warped imagination. And the latest is a doozy.

Trump has long justified the violent insurrection in Washington, D.C., on January 6th, 2021, as a reasonable response by citizens outraged by the tales of voter fraud that Trump and his media mouthpieces manufactured. That “Big Lie” was so egregious that Fox News was forced to settle a defamation lawsuit for nearly a billion dollars brought by Dominion Voting Systems. And the criminal indictment currently pending against Trump in Washington includes charges related to his incitement of the riot and his neglect in restoring the peace.

Now, a book by Jonathan Karl, Tired of Winning,” includes an interview wherein Trump offers a heretofore unheard account of what happened on January 6th. Apparently Trump believes – or wants others to believe – that he was a foiled hero. And Lordy… Karl has tapes. Trump was recorded saying that…

“If you look at the real size of that crowd, it was never reported correctly. There were – it’s the biggest crowd I’ve ever spoken in front of by far. By far. That went down to the Washington – That went back to the Washington Monument.

“I was going to [go to the Capitol] and then Secret Service said you can’t. And then by the time— I would have, and then when I get back, I saw – I wanted to go back. I was thinking about going back during the problem to stop the problem. Doing it myself. Secret Service didn’t like that idea too much.

“And I could have done that, and you know what? I would have been very well received. Don’t forget, the people that went to Washington that day, in my opinion, they went because they thought the election was rigged. That’s why they went.”

Setting aside Trump’s typical narcissistic delusions about crowd size, he is claiming that he intended to ride to the rescue of the besieged Congress and save everyone himself. Only a brain-dead, cult-indoctrinated, paste-eater could swallow that bullpucky. The evidence provided in testimony, documents, and video, shows that Trump was at the White House cheering on the rioters as they smashed their way into the Capitol, vandalized public property, and terrorized members of Congress and their staffs, in an attempt to obstruct Congress from certifying the election.

When Trump finally did record a video to ostensibly calm the crowd – nearly three hours after the assault began – he slathered his StormTrumpers with affection, telling them that he “loved” them and understood their anger. He also tweeted that “These are the things and events that happen when a sacred landslide election victory is so unceremoniously & viciously stripped away.”

Trump’s phony account of his heroic aspirations is pure fantasy. He supported the obstruction of Congress and the insurrectionists who engaged in it. To this day he holds those same positions. He recently promised to halt the prosecutions of the January 6th mob if he were to be reelected. And he continues to disgorge his grossly distorted versions his reality as to what took place that day.

The only way to interpret Trump’s claim that he wanted to “stop the problem” at the Capitol is to recognize what he considered the problem to be. It wasn’t that a hostile horde of his hooligans were on a frenzied, anti-democratic rampage. It was that Congress was about to certify that Biden had won the election. And in Trump’s mind he was called not to “stop the problem,” but to “Stop the Steal,” which was what his rally at the Ellipse was titled. If he really wanted to go back to the Capitol, it was only to plant a Trump flag and declare himself president-for-life.

Republican Congressman Makes a Great Case – and Political Ad – for Voting Against Republicans

The Republican Party has long held the position that government is an evil institution that can only make life worse for its citizens. They refuse to accept any notion that a democracy in America can advance the interests of the people. Instead, they insist that government doesn’t work and then, when they have some measure of authority, they prove it by their malicious mismanagement.

Donald Trump, Republican, GOP

This anti-American philosophy can be traced back at least to Ronald Reagan, who preached that “Government is not the solution to our problems, government is the problem.” That dismal and cynical perspective renouncing the concept of a self-governing nation has lately been bolstered by the Donald Trump era’s brand of GOP politics. Today’s Republicans frolic in the failures of legislative affairs that they believe are inherently harmful. In fact they’re proud of it…

SEE THIS: GOP Wants a Government Shutdown Because ‘Most of What We Do is Bad, Hurts the American People’

On Wednesday Republican Rep. Chip Roy took to the floor of the House of Representatives to chastise members of his own party for their conspicuous incompetence and inability to get anything done. His anger was intended as criticism of the GOP’s failure to pass absurd and meritless legislative assaults against Democrats. However, it will play much better as an ad for Democrats seeking to highlight the ineptitude of Republicans, which the campaign for President Biden quickly jumped on. “Chips Ahoy” Roy ranted that he wanted…

One thing. I want my Republican colleagues to give me one thing. One. That I can go campaign on and say we did. One. Anybody sitting in the complex, if you want to come down to the floor and come explain to me, one meaningful, significant thing the Republican majority has done

Indeed, the Republicans haven’t managed to move a single piece of significant legislation that might benefit the people. Although it did take them fifteen votes to elect Kevin McCarthy as their Speaker. But then they ousted him and took three more weeks to select his replacement, Mike Johnson. In the meantime they held hearings on Hunter Biden, gas stoves, honoring January 6th insurrectionists, and impeaching President Biden on the basis of zero evidence of any wrongdoing.

Producing pro-Democratic ads has become something of an avocation for Republicans and right-wing media. Previously, Marjorie Taylor Greene whined that Democrats were doing a variety of wonderful things that most Americans support. An appreciative Biden campaign turned into a pro-Biden advertisement.

The folks at Fox News weren’t going to be ignored in this endeavor. So “Outnumbered” co-host Emily Compagno itemized some of the crazy conspiracy theories to which Mike Johnson has subscribed. Which made another strong argument against the GOP and in favor of Democrats.

Democrats owe the Republican party a debt of gratitude for their inadvertent honesty and helpful advertisement production. It will save the Democrats a lot of money they would otherwise have had to spend on producing ads themselves.

Unfortunately, the downside is that the American people are being shortchanged by not having a functional legislative branch of government at a time when the nation and the world needs the leadership that the U.S. can provide. But on the basis of the GOP’s own arguments, hopefully Republicans will be voted out of office so that intelligent, compassionate, patriotic, adults can restore confidence in the American system of government and in democracy itself.
