Trump Declares that ‘I Am Not Going Back On Twitter’ After the Elon Musk Takeover

America’s oligarchy is exercising it’s privilege once again as the world’s richest man drops a few of his billions of dollars to add Twitter to the playroom in his ultra-exclusive world. Elon Musk’s acquisition of the social media giant is profoundly significant due to its influence on politics, journalism, and culture.

Donald Trump

The debate over how dangerous this is for society in America – and the world – is complex and will unfold in the weeks to come as Musk’s intentions are revealed. However, in the short term we already have some news about a famous former tweeter. Donald Trump didn’t waste any time telling Fox News (who else) what the Musk acquisition means to him. According to Fox News

“Former President Trump will not return to Twitter, even as Elon Musk purchases the social media company and reinstates his account, instead using his own TRUTH Social as the sole platform for his voice. […] The former president told Fox News Monday that he will formally join his own TRUTH Social over the next seven days, as planned.

“‘I am not going on Twitter, I am going to stay on TRUTH,’ Trump told Fox News. ‘I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’ll make improvements to it and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on TRUTH.’ […] He added: ‘The bottom line is, no, I am not going back to Twitter.'”

Let’s set aside for the time being that Trump lies far too often to take anything he says seriously. If Twitter were to offer to reinstate his account, it’s ridiculous to suggest that he would rebuff the offer because he’s “staying on TRUTH” Social (TS). How can he “stay” on a platform that he has posted on only once nearly two months ago, and from which he has been conspicuously absent ever since? He couldn’t even get the name straight at his recent rally, calling it “Troth Sential.”

Trump was, and is, a Twitter addict (his spokes-shill still posts for him daily in defiance of Twitter’s own rules). And he isn’t likely to trade access to his 84 million Twitter followers (most of which were bots or fakes) for a fraction of that on TS. Trump went on to say that…

“‘We’re taking in millions of people, and what we’re finding is that the response on TRUTH is much better than being on Twitter,’ Trump said. ‘Twitter has bots and fake accounts, and we are doing everything we can.'”

Actually, TS has assigned a little over a million wait list numbers to people who have tried to sign up. Most of them still have not been able to log on. And as for fake accounts, there have already been a multitude of them on TS. The site even “verified” a Fox News account that Fox denied having anything to do with.

RELATED: Trump’s PRAVDA, er, TRUTH Social Twitter Clone Flops as it Misses Yet Another Launch Date

What’s more, there is so little interaction on TS that the users who are online have complained that it is an echo chamber of fellow cultists whose homogeneous agreement is terminally boring. And now Trump is promising that it’s going to get even worse…

“‘This is a platform for my voice. TRUTH is a platform for my voice and for my supporters,’ Trump said. ‘But I want everybody to come over to TRUTH—conservatives, liberals, whatever. […] ‘TRUTH Social will be a voice for me,’ Trump continued. ‘And that’s something nobody else can get.'”

It isn’t an accident that Trump keeps referring to the site as simply “TRUTH.” There is nothing “Social” about it. Like everything else in Trump World, it is about him and only him. And he isn’t shy about saying so explicitly.

RELATED: Trump’s TRUTH Social Boss, Devin Nunes, Tells Fox News that ‘Twitter is a Ghost Town’

The worst part of all of this, from Trump’s perspective, is that the site may never even become viable. The shell company that is serving as its Wall Street proxy (DWAC) declined another 12.9% today. It has cratered 64% since the beginning of March. Reuters is reporting that key personnel are abandoning ship and that…

“Another open question is how TMTG is funding its current growth. The company is planning to go public through a merger with blank-check firm Digital World Acquisition Corp (DWAC) . The deal is under scrutiny by the Securities and Exchange Commission and is likely months away from being finalized. […] Investors have pledged $1 billion to TMTG but they won’t hand over that money until the DWAC deal closes.”

So the the Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG) and DWAC deal is likely another illegal Trump scam that will never go through. And when it fails Trump won’t get any of the money that has allegedly been pledged. More likely it will result in investor lawsuits that will cost him and his accomplices a fortune.

As for Twitter’s future under Musk, Jessica J. González of Free Press recently published an editorial that exposes how truly awful the site could be under Musk. She wrote that…

“Musk’s ability to be an accountable steward of this massive online community is questionable at best. […] he has a poor track record of protecting other Twitter users and respecting their free speech. He has used the platform to discredit and disparage those who disagree with him, and he has lashed out at journalists who have written or produced things he didn’t like.”

Musk’s pretense of advocating for free speech is utterly insincere. It is a pathway to tolerating hate speech and disinformation that divides people and incites violence. It would make Twitter unbearable for most decent users, as well as advertisers. And it doesn’t help that Musk has been sued for “racial discrimination and harassment after finding a widespread pattern of mistreatment of Black workers” at his Tesla plant. So look for Twitter to collapse unless its executives and board of directors manage to keep Musk’s worst instincts in check.

Texts Show Sean Hannity Was Taking Orders From Trump Team to Steal the Election

For the past sixteen months Donald Trump has been viscerally obsessed with having decisively lost the presidency to Joe Biden. And his all-consuming humiliation has resulted in a relentless fit of rage as he desperately crusades to convince his cult followers that the election was “rigged” and “stolen” from him.

Donald Trump Sean Hannity

Throughout this prolonged temper tantrum, Trump has the unflinching support of his Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News. The “Big Lie” that the election was rigged is regurgitated every day by Fox’s devoted Trump-fluffers. Never mind that neither Fox News nor Trump has been able to provide a scintilla of evidence of fraud. To the contrary, they repeatedly put forth blatantly bogus examples of alleged proof that are easily refuted.

RELATED: Trump Posts ‘Foolproof’ Evidence that the Election Was ‘Rigged’ But it’s Only Proof for Fools

On Monday morning CNN published over 2,300 never before seen texts messages that they obtained from Trump’s former chief of staff, Mark Meadows. Among them were conversations between Meadows and Fox News hack, Sean Hannity. The substance of their discussions further documents the unsavory marriage of Fox and Trump as they endeavor to undermine democracy. CNN reports that…

“CNN has obtained 2,319 text messages that former President Donald Trump’s White House chief of staff Mark Meadows sent and received between Election Day 2020 and President Joe Biden’s January 20, 2021 inauguration.

The vast trove of texts offers the most revealing picture to date of how Trump’s inner circle, supporters and Republican lawmakers worked behind the scenes to try to overturn the election results and then reacted to the violence that effort unleashed at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.” […]

“The never-before-seen texts include messages from Trump’s family — daughter Ivanka Trump, son-in-law Jared Kushner and son Donald Trump Jr. — as well as White House and campaign officials, Cabinet members, Republican Party leaders, January 6 rally organizers, Rudy Giuliani, My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell, Sean Hannity and other Fox hosts. There are also text exchanges with more than 40 current and former Republican members of Congress, including Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas and Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio, Mo Brooks of Alabama and Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia.”

The texts exchanged between Hannity and Meadows are especially illuminating. They show that Hannity was both advising and taking orders from the Trump team. According to CNN…

“Among Meadows’ most frequent interactions were those with Fox’s Sean Hannity, a well-known friend of Trump. Throughout the logs, Hannity both gives advice and asks for direction.

“On the afternoon of Election Day, Hannity texted Meadows to ask about turnout in North Carolina.
Meadows responded: ‘Stress every vote matters. Get out and vote.’

“Yes sir,” Hannity replied. “On it. Any place in particular we need a push.”

“Pennsylvania. NC AZ,” Meadows wrote. “Nevada.”

“Got it. Everywhere,” Hannity said.”

“Yes sir!”? So Hannity was coordinating strategy with Trump’s chief of staff to steal the election from the American people. It’s bad enough when the host of a so-called “news” network openly advocates on behalf of a corrupt politician. It is another thing entirely to choreograph schemes with coup plotters. But that is precisely what Hannity is doing here. And it isn’t the first time. Hannity has appeared as a guest speaker at Trump rallies. And he has also appeared in campaign ads for Trump. [Note: These texts refer to Hannity coordinating “Get Out The Vote” efforts with Trump, but that is still wholly unethical, and he was still coordinating with coup plotters because the plot began before election day]

RELATED: Fox News Must Fire Sean Hannity for Refusing to Disclose His Relationship with Donald Trump

Among the other Meadows texts are messages from Marjorie Taylor Green urging Meadows to get Trump to declare “marshall” (sic) law. Ivanka Trump texting Meadows, Jared Kushner and others that “You are all WARRIORS of epic proportions! Keep the faith and the fight.” And Jim Jordan suggesting that Mike Pence should refuse to count electoral votes from states that Biden won. To which Meadows replied “I have pushed for this.”

RELATED: BUSTED! Donald Trump Jr Texted Mark Meadows With Illegal Schemes to Steal the Election

Surprisingly, Fox News actually aired a story on the Meadows text messages that CNN published. Not surprisingly, their story didn’t mention that any of those messages were to or from Sean Hannity. That’s a curious omission after deciding to report on the text messages at all.

However, it’s typical of the dishonesty and distortion that is so integral to how Fox News mangles journalism. When they aren’t lying about things that they cover, they deliberately refuse to cover things that aren’t aligned with their biases. Such as the news that Trump has been found in contempt of court by the Attorney General of state of New York.

Fox News Buries Biden’s Accomplishments in a Pitifully Pathetic Piece of Pure Propaganda

After 26 years of devoted service to the Republican Party and the uber-conservatives of America, no one is going to be surprised by Fox News posting stories that are brazenly partisan and littered with lies. It’s what they were created to do, and they surely have not disappointed their political benefactors. Well, perhaps with the exception of Donald Trump (and much more here).

Joe Biden, Donald Trump Baby, Fake News

In their continuing crusade to malign President Biden, Fox News sought to report on what the American people think of the President. So they went to a suburb of Washington, D.C., and asked some of them. The resulting story was headlined, “Americans weigh in: What’s Biden’s biggest accomplishment?”

RELATED: Boring Biden? Fox News is Very Upset that Biden Isn’t a Hyper-Psycho Drama Queen Like Trump

So for this story that purports to reveal the sentiments of the American people, did Fox News conduct a poll? Did they embark on a research project to ascertain the mood of the general public? Did they interview experts on politics or sociology? Well, if you’ve ever watched Fox News you already know that they don’t engage such professional standards of journalism.

Nope. For this story about what Fox News portrayed as the broad population of “Americans weigh[ing] in” on Biden’s accomplishments, they compiled the views of only four anonymous people on the street whose political affiliations are unknown and whose views cannot be judged for credibility. These four “representatives” of the nation in Fox’s skimpy sample were asked what they thought Biden has accomplished. Their answers were as follows:

“Fighting the pandemic with the availability of vaccines,” one woman told Fox News. “I think he’s a great president for the four years he’ll be here, and I’m very pleased with that.”

“I can’t think of anything,” one woman told Fox News.”

“Another man said: “I don’t think he has one big accomplishment.”

“Binging (sic) his sobriety to the presidency,” one man, Bob, told Fox News. “Bringing a sense of decency back, bringing stability back, bringing the thought process back.”

And that’s it. That’s the entirety of the Fox News story. Except, that is, for pointing that Biden plans to run for reelection despite his low poll numbers. But, Fox News doesn’t even believe that Biden won in 2020. And somehow they still expect people to regard them as a credible news network.

In a district that voted 80% for Biden, Fox News could only find two people who could provide examples of his accomplishments. For the record, here are a few of Biden’s accomplishments that Fox News made certain wouldn’t make it into their story…

  • Effectively managed COVID with vaccines and relief payments to millions of Americans
  • Lead an economy to record growth, job creation, and historically low unemployment
  • Reversed dozens of Trump’s anti-environmental executive orders
  • Nominated the first Black woman to the Supreme Court
  • Restored Obamacare to the state prior to Trump’s sabotage of it
  • Invested billions in infrastructure
  • Rejoined the Paris Climate Accords and the World Health Organization
  • Advocated for workers rights and a higher minimum wage
  • Pushed legislation for voting rights
  • Strengthened foreign relations and unified NATO

Of course, Fox News wouldn’t dare report on any of that. It would only conflict with their goal of disparaging Biden. And if you’re wondering why his approval ratings are so low, you’re seeing one reason why in purposefully dishonest reporting like this.

Tucker Carlson Spews Disinformation to Slander Barack Obama for Opposing Disinformation

Former President Barack Obama visited Stanford University on Friday to deliver a profound and timely address on the dangers of disinformation. He warned that “Once [people] lose trust in their leaders, the mainstream media, in political institutions, in each other, in the possibility of truth, the game is won.” It was a compelling discourse on the precarious state of modern communications and propaganda.

Obama Fox News

Naturally, whenever Obama appears in public to remind everyone what an intelligent and articulate leader sounds like, Fox News needs to start flinging feces at him in a desperate effort to deflect from his pertinent and persuasive message. And on Friday that assignment was given to Fox’s Senior White Nationalist, Tucker Carlson. Carlson began his harangue by flagrantly misrepresenting Obama’s words. Carlson said that…

“Obama argued that only his political opponents lie, and they must be stopped immediately.”

Of course, Obama didn’t say either of those things. Carlson is simply making stuff up so that he can subsequently condemn it in his typically pretentious and whiny voice. This is, after all, the same cretinous cream puff who recently declared that “The End of Men” was imminent and that the only salvation was a program of therapeutic testicle tanning.

RELATED: Macho Poser Tucker Carlson’s Journey from ‘Dancing With the Stars’ to ‘The End of Men’

Carlson followed his opening lie with a video of Obama that actually proved that Carlson was lying. In the video Obama said that…

“People like Putin, and Steve Bannon for that matter, understand it’s not necessary for people to believe this information in order to weaken democratic institutions. You just have to flood a country’s public square with enough raw sewage. You just have to raise enough questions, spread enough dirt, plant enough conspiracy theorizing, that citizens no longer know what to believe.”

Whereupon Carlson proceeded to excrete some more misrepresentations of what Obama had said. Carlson raged…

“Oh. So people who disagree with Barack Obama aren’t just saying things that are wrong, They’re flooding raw sewage into our country.”

Once again, not only did Obama never say that people who disagree with him are wrong, his reference to “flooding raw sewage into our country” was taken directly from remarks made by Steve Bannon, who stirred up his seditionist audience by saying that “The Democrats don’t matter. The real opposition is the media. And the way to deal with them is to flood the zone with shit.” Carlson not only neglects to mention that, but he has clearly taken it to heart, as evidenced by his body of work.

Carlson continued…

“So this guy is not just liberal. In fact, he’s not liberal at all. He’s a full-blown fascist who hates you and wants to keep you from talking, or else. He wants censorship of anyone who disagrees with him, and now he just comes out and says it.”

Really? Where Carlson gets that “fascist” business from is a mystery. It certainly isn’t from anything that Obama said. It’s most likely projection, wherein Carlson is just observing what he sees in himself and projecting it onto his foe. Carlson then plays another video that proves, again, that he’s lying.

“While content moderation can limit the distribution of clearly dangerous content, it doesn’t go far enough. Users who want to spread disinformation have become experts at pushing right up to the line of what, at least, published company policies allow. And at those margins social media platforms tend not to want to do anything. Not just because they don’t want to be accused of censorship, but because they still have a financial incentive to keep as many users engaged as possible.”

Exactly! Ultra-rightist Republicans like Carlson repeatedly misconstrue the Constitution’s First Amendment. As Obama noted, it is a check on government overreach, and does not apply to private companies. It is not a violation of anyone’s rights if CNN or Fox News or the New York Times or Twitter declines to disseminate commentaries that are false, abusive, or otherwise harmful or unlawful or merely violate the company’s terms of service. It’s called free speech. Nevertheless, Carlson persists in his ignorance to say…

“So me and my friends at the Aspen Institute need to be in complete control of every word uttered or else it’s not democracy. That’s the case he’s making. That’s the case their all making.”

No, Tucker. That’s not the case that Obama, or anyone else, is making. It’s just the mischaracterization that you’re making to deliberately deceive your already dimwitted viewers. Which you are doing quite well. And it’s why President Biden observed accurately that Fox News is “one of the most destructive forces in the United States.”

Fox News Ignores Bombshell Recordings of McCarthy Urging Trump to Resign and Lying About It

Fox News continues to be the best source for unassailable evidence that it is not a news network at all. They do this by airing brazenly biased stories that invariably disparage President Biden and other Democrats, and/or fawn over Donald Trump and his puppetized Republicans. Their reporting is rife with flagrant falsehoods and open animus toward anyone who isn’t aligned with their ultra-rightist agenda.

Donald Trump, Kevin McCarthy

However, what Fox declines to report is just as revealing as their outright lies. And this week they provided a stark example of how they purposefully turn their political coverage into pure propaganda.

RELATED: Fox News Totally Ignores Story About Ginni Thomas Texting QAnon Nuttery to Mark Meadows

On Thursday MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow aired a segment exposing Republican House minority leader, Kevin McCarthy, discussing with GOP Rep. Liz Cheney their dismay with Trump following his inciting the January 6th insurrection. They pondered the possibility of removing Trump from office via impeachment, the 25th Amendment, or resignation.

When asked about this report, McCarthy adamantly denied that he had said any such thing, insisting that it was “totally false and wrong,” and that “It comes as no surprise that the corporate media is obsessed with doing everything it can to further a liberal agenda.” Unfortunately for him, there were recordings…

And as if that weren’t bad enough, the recordings also captured McCarthy saying that Trump had acknowledged to him that he “bears responsibility” for the violent storming of the Capitol by his supporters:

The significance of these recordings goes beyond McCarthy having been caught in a lie as to what he was saying after the insurrection. It also exposes his candid thoughts in real time about the riots and Trump’s moral and legal liability. It shows that McCarthy’s first instincts were were actually rooted in principle and that Trump needed to be held accountable. It also shows that McCarthy was willing to abandon his “principles” and subjugate himself to Dear Leader Trump.

The McCarthy tapes were covered by most of the media in a manner befitting the explosive nature of their content. This was unarguably newsworthy material that shook the political landscape and warranted detailed coverage. So naturally Fox News ignored it entirely.

Throughout the morning on Friday, Fox News did not mention the McCarthy mess a single time on the air. There was, however, one story about it on the Fox News website, but that story only mentioned the original reporting and McCarthy’s denial. Even though the article was published at 11:22 AM on Friday – long after the tapes showed that he was lying – Fox’s story made no mention that the tapes existed.

RELATED: Fox News Attempts (and Hysterically Fails) to Contrive a Fake Biden Scandal

This is how Fox News manages to keep their audience ignorant and devoted to the Cult of Trump. When they aren’t maligning Democrats, they are suppressing news that reflects badly on Republicans. It is the deliberate and relentless promulgation of propaganda that would make the Putin’s Kremlin blush. And it also why Biden said correctly that Fox News is one of the most destructive forces in the United States.”

WTF? Tucker Carlson Mocks Biden for Believing that He Won in 2020, Which, of Course, He Did

The descent into delusion is continuing at an increasingly rapid pace at Fox News. For the past sixteen months Fox has been obediently regurgitating Donald Trump’s “Big Lie” that the 2020 presidential election was “rigged.” Never mind that neither Trump nor Fox “News” has been able to produce a shred of evidence of their wild accusations. And they lost more than sixty court cases in their efforts to overturn the election and undermine democracy.

Fox News. Tucker Carlson

On Wednesday evening Tucker Carlson unleashed another inane tirade aimed at disparaging President Biden and his decisive victory over Trump nearly a year and a half ago. Carlson has a unique talent for promulgating lies while making himself look like a jackass. And he was in rare form on this episode of his primetime propaganda program.

Carlson was triggered by an article in The Hill wherein Biden was reported to have told former President Obama that he intends to run for reelection in 2024, and that he would beat Trump again. That could not possibly be less controversial. Biden has been telling that to anyone who asked the same question for months. But to Carlson this was chum in the wingnut waters. He raged that…

Carlson: Joe Biden believes he’s the only one who can beat Donald Trump. Which, if nothing else, suggests Joe Biden believes he beat Donald Trump the first time.
Carlson (badly impersonating Biden): Hey guys, I got 81 million votes. Maybe I’ll get 500 billion next time.
Carlson: So how did Barack Obama respond to that? Well The Hill newspaper didn’t say. We do know that earlier this month Obama referred to Joe Biden as ‘Vice-President.’ So you can guess.

Seriously? Carlson appears to be downright stunned that Biden “believes” he defeated Trump in 2020. Of course, the only reason that Biden believes that is because it is unambiguously and certifiably true. Other than that, there is also the fact that even Republican governors, election officials, and judges have affirmed Biden’s victory – repeatedly! And we’ll just ignore Carlson’s inability to get Obama’s VP joke.

However, that doesn’t stop Carlson from humiliating himself by clinging to the “Big Lie” and mocking Biden for his adherence to, you know, reality. Which is especially ironic considering that Carlson was defended in court by Fox News against defamation charges by arguing that “no reasonable person” could possibly take him seriously. After all, this is the same guy who has distinguished himself with such notable commentaries as…

Advocating testicle tanning to forestall “The End of Men”

And…

Why he is turned off by “less sexy,” “unappealing” cartoon M&Ms

And…

Pleading to keep the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in power

And…

Taking Russia’s side against Ukraine, America, and democracy

And…

Spreading the conspiracy theory that the January 6th insurrection was an FBI “false flag” operation

And…

Oh hell. That’s enough. This array of asshattery could go on forever. If Carlson wants to reside in a fantasy world where Trump didn’t lose the popular vote twice and never reached 50% approval, we should just let him.

Macho Poser Tucker Carlson’s Journey from ‘Dancing With the Stars’ to ‘The End of Men’

Apparently serving as the Fox News spokesperson for white nationalism and America’s racist hate community wasn’t enough for Tucker Carlson. So he launched a documentary production venture that commits his most toxic conspiracy mongering to film. He began with a crocumentary asserting, without a sliver of evidence, that Donald Trump’s January 6th insurrection in Washington, D.C., was an FBI “false flag” operation.

Fox News, Tucker Carlson, STFU

Now Carlson has released the trailer for his next preposterous project entitled “The End of Men.” By all appearances it seems to be an in-depth exploration of Carlson’s deep-seated insecurity about his pitifully lacking masculinity and flaming impotence. Judging from the trailer, Carlson has produced some sort of soft-core gay porn paean to the supremacy of patriarchy and male bonding. He introduced it saying that…

“One of the biggest stories in our lifetimes is the total collapse of testosterone levels in American men. Those levels are declining by roughly ten percent per decade, completely changing the way people are at the most fundamental level. NIH does not seem interested in this at all. Not a big deal. We think it is a huge deal, and we want to know what’s causing it, and what you can do about it. That’s the topic of our upcoming documentary called, ‘The End Of Men.’ Here’s a look at the trailer.”

https://twitter.com/NikkiMcR/status/1515130557675581442

Carlson’s project praises what he says are the “Hard times [that] produce men who are tough, men who are resourceful, men who are strong enough to survive. They go on to reestablish order.” Naturally, in his bitterly misogynistic view it is always the men who are responsible for order and control. But even in his brief introduction, he manages to get everything wrong, as usual.

Setting aside the absurdity of saying that declining testosterone levels are “One of the biggest stories in our lifetimes,” Carlson elaborates by asserting that such a decline is tantamount to “completely changing the way people are at the most fundamental level.” He never explains why that would be the case. It’s just his innate fear that the pseudo-machismo that he aspires to is a waning factor in modern America.

RELATED: OH NO! Tucker Carlson is Turned Off By ‘Less Sexy,’ ‘Unappealing’ Cartoon M&Ms

What’s more, contrary to Carlson’s clownish mockery of the National institutes of Health (NIH) as having no interest in this, the NIH has actually been actively studying it. Their research has defined the potential causes that include increased obesity, declining exercise and physical activity, diabetes, smoking, and environmental toxins. Ironically, those factors could be countered by advancing public programs to improve health care and clean up the environment, both of which conservatives like Carlson fervently oppose.

Carlson’s embrace of this issue is inherently paradoxical. It’s not like he is anyone’s model of masculinity. And if he were truly concerned about the changing fundamentals of manhood, you would have to wonder why he draped himself so daintily when competing in “Dancing With the Stars.” It was a performance that garnered an appropriate review by a true American hero, veteran and senator Tammy Duckworth:

RELATED: Fox News Putin Puppet Tucker Carlson’s False Flag Fiction Gets Ripped By CNN’s Jim Acosta

Carlson’s latest outrage is just another example of his hatred for women and his fear of inadequacy. So he needs to reassure himself that he is master of his domain by embracing misogyny and homophobia. It’s an old story that is repeated often in conservative politics by posers like Carlson and serial sexual harasser, Donald Trump.

HAH! Jen Psaki Says Doocy’s Fox News Questions Would ‘Make Anyone Sound Like a Stupid S.O.B.’

Earlier this year President Biden held a press conference during which Peter Doocy of Fox News asked one his hallmark questions that have certified his place in the press corps as a shallow and partisan hack. It’s a role he has embraced on numerous occasions during the White House daily press briefings with Press Secretary, Jen Psaki.

Click here to Tweet this article

Jen Psaki, Fox News, Peter Doocy

During the Biden press conference, Doocy asked the President “Do you think inflation is a political liability in the midterms?” Biden diplomatically ignored the question whose premise was patently absurd. Of course inflation is a political liability. What did Doocy expect Biden to say?

However, a hot mic caught Biden as he muttered sarcastically under his breath “That’s a great asset – more inflation. What a stupid son of a bitch.” Naturally, this was escalated to “scandal” proportions by Fox News and other rightist media. Even though Biden later graciously called Doocy and apologized for the remark that Doocy didn’t hear.

On Friday morning Psaki was a guest on the “Pod Save America” podcast when the subject came up again in a light-hearted segment. Psaki was asked if “Peter Doocy is a stupid son of a bitch or does he just play one on tv?” She replied that…

“He works for a network that provides people with questions that, nothing personal to any individual including Peter Doocy, but might make anyone sound like a stupid son of a bitch.”

Cue the Fox News ninnies as they flop into their fainting couches. Never mind that Psaki is actually giving Doocy the benefit of a doubt by blaming his idiotic inquiries on his bosses at Fox. The wingnut InterTubes went haywire with denouncements of Psaki’s alleged incivility. It’s almost as if they have never heard of Donald Trump’s relentlessly hateful, misogynistic, and racist assaults on the media as “fake,” “stupid,” “crooked,” and “enemies of the people.”

The entire exchange with Psaki was couched in good humor. But rather than appreciate that she was actually absolving Doocy of responsibility for some truly dumb questions, Fox News bounced the idiocy right back in Doocy’s lap. The network released a statement saying that…

“In his role as White House correspondent, Peter Doocy’s job is to elicit truth from power for the American public. His questions are his own, he is a terrific reporter and we are extremely proud of his work.”

Anyone has watched more than a few minutes of Fox News knows that they have never cared about eliciting truth. Their prime directive is to spin, distort, and outright lie. That’s particularly true when it comes to the powerful conservative politicians they were created to serve. Nevertheless, Doocy’s Fox colleague, John Roberts, took to Twitter to defend him…

Okay then. Doocy is wholly responsible for his questions that make him look like a fool. If he wants that distinction, he can have it. So just for the record, let’s review some of Doocy’s questions that Fox News is so proud of…

Hopefully the debate over stupid S.O.B.’s can now be put to rest.

Dementia-Addled Trump Descends Into Gibberish When Hannity Asks What He Would Do About Inflation

Poor Donald Trump. By his own account he is the world’s biggest victim. While he puts on airs of being a dominant alpha male, he whines like a colicky infant whenever anyone directs even the gentlest criticism at him. He literally bragged that he is the most fabulous whiner.”

Donald Trump Circling the Drain

Trump took a break from headlining his increasingly unpopular MAGA Cult Tour to visit with his BFF Sean Hannity on Wednesday. He could not have asked for a friendlier venue than the Fox News Primetime Trump-Fluffing Hour with a host who is best known for cravenly kissing his, let’s say ring.

Nevertheless, Trump managed to humiliate himself with his unartful dodge of a question that should have been a “gimme.” That’s surely what Hannity intended. But Trump is too cognitively deficient to field even a softball from a slobbering sycophant. Hannity set up the question by maligning President Biden and lying about the state of the economy. And that produced the following hysterical response to Hannity’s inquiry about inflation (video below):

Hannity: If you’re president, what would you do?
Trump: So what you’re saying sounds all very easy and sounds very simple, not actually that simple, but I will tell you that this is like the biggest tax increase in history. If you look at what inflation is doing, and I saw a number today that wages can go up, but they’re nowhere near what’s being taken out of families by pure inflation. Just the cost of bread, the cost of gas, the cost of gasoline, the cost of everything. Everything is up.”

Reminder: The question was “What would you do” about inflation? So far, Trump hasn’t gotten anywhere near that. But he is regurgitating the rote Republican response that somehow Biden is responsible for inflation, despite the fact that it is occurring throughout the world due to multiple factors, including COVID and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Trump (cont’d): “And supply chain. You go to stores and they’re half empty. Many stores they can’t get products. They can’t get anything. You go to luxury stores or non-luxury stores, supermarkets, and the shelves are half there. And nobody’s ever seen it. We didn’t even have to discuss supply chain during my administration. Because it was a perfect moving machine. It was beautiful. We created the greatest economy in the history of the world. We created an economy that was better than any economy in history.”

Reminder: The question was “What would you do” about inflation? But still no coherent solutions from Trump. However, he does demonstrate that he hasn’t been in a supermarket lately, where the shelves are pretty full. He also seems to have forgotten how the supply chain was disrupted during his occupation of the White House, when common consumer products like toilet paper were nowhere to be seen. And businesses were shuttered because he refused to take the advice of doctors and epidemiologists to contain the pandemic. His “beautiful,” “perfect moving machine” resulted in the first presidency in decades to have fewer jobs at the end than when it began.

Trump (cont’d): “Then we got hit by the ‘China’ virus, and after the ‘China’ virus we did one of the best jobs in the world of doing everything including Operation Warp Speed and everything that that entailed. The therapeutics, the vaccines, everything we did and then they messed it up with the mandates, and they absolutely were killing our country with the mandates which should have never happened. It’s just so sad to hear because this was all a self-inflicted wound from inflation to the loss of energy independence. And now add to that what’s going on in Ukraine. That’s genocide. What’s happening in Ukraine, people have never seen anything like that before.

Reminder: The question was “What would you do” about inflation? And there you have it. The entire, interminable, rambling rant never touched on the substance of the question. That’s because Trump has no friggin’ idea what to do about inflation. Just as he has no friggin’ idea what to do about Ukraine. But he does rage against common sense measures to protect people from a deadly virus, even as he tries to take credit for it.

Trump continues to prove that his ignorance has no bounds. He doesn’t even have the ability to fake it when asked questions that should have been anticipated and prepared for. Then again, he doesn’t need to worry about toadies like Hannity asking any follow up questions, or even expecting a relevant, comprehensible answer. Everyone around Trump just accepts, and worse, nurtures his decaying mental state. And the threat of anyone with his degree of dementia holding any position of power in the future is unthinkably horrifying.

Fox News Putin Puppet Tucker Carlson’s False Flag Fiction Gets Ripped By CNN’s Jim Acosta

Tucker Carlson of Fox News must be so proud. He has achieved his life long dream. He has become the most watched American television commentator – on Russian television. Carlson achieved that milestone by his continuous and effusive praise for Vladimir Putin. And Russian TV has returned the favor.

Fox News, Tucker Carlson, Bullshit Factory

On Sunday, Jim Acosta of CNN took note of Carlson’s pro-Putin propaganda. While responsible journalists worldwide were documenting the war crimes being committed by Russian troops on Putin’s orders, Carlson was attempting to whitewash the matter and absolve Putin of any guilt by advancing the utterly baseless assertion that Ukraine was staging some of the scenes of horror. Carlson didn’t present a single shred of evidence of his grotesque accusation. But he was, nevertheless, “dead certain” of it, as he told his gullible viewers.

REALTED: WTF? Fox News Traitor Tucker Carlson Takes Russia’s Side Against Democracy and America

Acosta delivered a seething commentary that exposed Carlson’s treasonous betrayal of American interests and, more importantly, the welfare of the Ukrainian people who are being slaughtered by Putin’s genocidal militia. Acosta said that…

Acosta: With reports about Russian atrocities mounting, the truth about Putin’s invasion is beyond dispute. Much of the world has agreed that Putin’s army has committed war crimes by blatantly attacking civilians in Ukraine. Unless you happen to get your news in Russian. Then there’s Tucker Carlson, who has accused news outlets of lying about what’s really happening in Ukraine.

Carlson: If news organizations are eagerly promoting lies about a war in progress, what can the rest of us believe? What can we know is true? And honestly, it’s hard to know what is true. We can be sure Russian soldiers have committed atrocities. There are countless pictures of that. Some must be real. But we can also be dead certain the war is not, despite what they tell us, a childish tale of good versus evil. This is Eastern Europe, after all. Everything is a lot more complicated than it looks on America TV.

Acosta went on to note that Carlson’s caustic lecturing was “A reminder that this is the same commentator who said in 2019 that he was rooting for Russia over Ukraine.” And then getting to the core of Carlson’s repulsiveness, Acosta said that…

“Last week Tucker Carlson tried to imply that some of what you are seeing has been fabricated and amplified by news organizations. That sounds a lot like what we heard from Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, who said that bodies of Ukrainian civilians lining the streets of Bucha were, quote, a forgery aimed at denigrating the Russian army.”

This isn’t the first time that Carlson has spread flagrant lies about imaginary “false flag” operations. Last year he produced an entire crocumentary about the January 6th insurrection that he claimed was a false flag affair staged by the FBI. It was also not the first time that Acosta has hammered Carlson for being what he colorfully christened a Human Manure Spreader.” Then, on Sunday, Acosta closed by saying that…

“News organizations are not repeating lies, as Tucker Carlson put it. Innocent people, children, are being targeted in Ukraine. There is nothing childish about that. And journalists are putting their lives on the line to tell the truth. Something you’d think that Tucker would know, considering some of the journalists injured or killed bravely reporting the truth worked for Fox.”

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that Fox News is complicit in this junkyard journalism. It is what they specialize in. And it is why President Biden was so right when he said that Fox News is “one of the most destructive forces in the U.S.”
