LOL: Fox News Defends Trump By Admitting that He’s a Lying, Narcissistic, Anti-Democratic, Loser

Last week Donald Trump was served the latest in his collection of criminal indictments. And it’s quite a collection that includes 78 felony counts ranging from falsifying financial records, to stealing and hoarding classified documents, to interfering with congressional proceedings, to lying to federal authorities, to obstructing justice.

Donald Trump, Fox News

Trump’s most recent indictment involves his efforts to undermine democracy and unlawfully clinging to power through deception and intimidation. He and his attorneys are trying to dismiss the allegations as merely expressions of free speech, but they are pretending not to know that he is being charged for what he did, not what said. And, by the way, what he said is illegal all by itself.

SEE THIS: WTF? Trump’s Attorney Repeatedly Insists that January 6th Was a ‘Peaceful Transfer of Power’

Predictably, Trump’s Ministry of Disinformation (aka Fox News) has been furiously spinning the news associated with Trump’s criminality. They have been hosting Trump flunkies from the press and politics to flagrantly lie about the state of his pending criminal cases. Among them was his attorney, John Lauro, whose bizarre commentaries seek to exonerate Trump with delusional claims such as that the deadly January 6th insurrection was a “peaceful transition of power.”

On Monday morning, Fox News host, Julie Banderas, delivered one of the most absurd defenses of Trump to date. In a segment wherein she was arguing that it would be impossible to have a fair trial for Trump, she ended up conceding the most deplorable personality traits that most Americans already attribute to him…

“[Trying] this case impartially is impossible. Politics written all over it. Attorneys are supposed to represent the law, not politics. Judges, same. […] So I want to talk about Trump’s alleged crimes for a second. He hasn’t been indicted with incitement. So we know that. It’s not a crime to tell lies. Being a narcissist isn’t a crime. Hatching schemes to stay in office is not a crime. And claiming you won an election that you know you lost is not a crime.

First of all, Banderas takes the wholly unpatriotic position that her colleagues in the conservative press share, which is that the American justice system is fatally flawed and incapable of serving the interests of the people and the law. She flat out rejects the notion that any crimes committed by politicians can be fairly adjudicated. Her implication is that they should all get off scot free, so long as they are Republicans.

Banderas also complained that “there is no way” a judge who “has it in for one of their future cases” is going to recuse themselves. And with that she is perfectly describing the situation in Florida where the Trump-appointed judge, Aileen Cannon, is presiding over the stolen classified documents case.

Banderas then goes on to explain why Trump, in particular, should be excused from any accountability for his crimes. And in the process she makes some startling concessions as to his character. For instance, she says that…

  • “It’s not a crime to tell lies.” So Trump is not guilty, even though he is a liar.
  • Being a narcissist isn’t a crime. So Trump is not guilty, even though he is a narcissist.
  • “Hatching schemes to stay in office is not a crime.” So Trump is not guilty, even though he conspired to retain power by soliciting fake electors and threatening state election officials.
  • “Claiming you won an election that you know you lost is not a crime.” So Trump is not guilty, even though he lost in 2020 and has been lying about it ever since.

It’s nice of Banderas to finally admit that Trump is a lying, narcissistic, anti-democratic, loser. However, contrary to Banderas’ conclusion, that doesn’t really mean that he isn’t guilty. There are many lies told by con men, or others in the commission of fraud, that are indeed crimes. Also perjury, which is a lie under oath, is a crime. And false statements on financial documents are crimes.

It is also a crime to conspire to overturn an election by recruiting people to impersonate electors who will vote for Trump when the actual electors selected by voters chose Joe Biden. It’s also a crime to threaten governors and other state officials with prosecution, or otherwise propose retribution, if they don’t fraudulently “find” thousands of votes to overturn an election outcome. And it is certainly a crime to do all of the above to correct alleged election fraud, especially when you know that there wasn’t any such fraud. In fact, it would still be a crime if there was fraud, which there wasn’t.

The only part of Banderas’ commentary that was accurate, was her assertion that narcissism isn’t a crime. However, it is a repulsive and potentially dangerous trait for anyone in a position of power. And it can surely lead to crimes by such a person who regards themselves as superior and entitled to commit crimes if they feel like it. And if you’ve been paying attention, you shouldn’t need any further evidence of that than Donald Trump.

For the record, Trump was charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstructing an official proceeding, and conspiracy against the right to vote and to have one’s vote counted. All of which are the sort of crimes that Banderas was so cavalierly dismissing. Which is typical for Fox News, as is evident in the following stories…

WTF? Trump’s Attorney Repeatedly Insists that January 6th Was a ‘Peaceful Transfer of Power’

Last week Donald Trump was indicted for the third time, which puts him in first place for the number of times that an American president or former president was indicted. Second place is a 45 way tie with zero times indicted. And with a total of 78 felony counts pending against him, there are pretty good odds that he will be convicted of something, and even prison isn’t out of the question.

Donald Trump Insurrection

But Trump isn’t resting on his lack of morals. He spent much of the week defying court orders to refrain from intimidating jurors or witnesses, or obstructing the administration of justice. In multiple posts on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, Trump overtly threatened everyone from the judge, to special counsel Jack Smith, to potential witnesses and jurors, to his own former Vice-President, Mike Pence.

SEE THIS: Trump Attacks Pence on Truth Social After Told By Judge to Refrain From Witness Intimidation

On Sunday morning Trump’s lead attorney, John Lauro, pulled what is known in the media as a “full Ginsburg,” by appearing on every major Sunday morning political news television program. But if he thinks he was benefiting his client, he might be sorely disappointed when he reads the reviews of his performances.

What Lauro has offered as a defense for Trump is extraordinarily weak and devoid of any legal basis. For instance, on CNN’s State of the Union, Lauro was interviewed by Dana Bash. He attempted to justify Trump’s crimes by falsely asserting that they were merely expressions of free speech. Never mind that the indictments are not charging Trump for what he said, but for what he did. Lauro even acknowledged that in the interview. However, he went off the rails shortly thereafter…

Lauro: The ultimate request that president Trump made was to pause the voting for ten days to allow the states to recertify or certify or audit, and Mr. Pence rejected that as well. After that there was a peaceful transition of power. So that’s how the Constitution works.
Bash: What happened on January 6th was not peaceful.
Lauro: Wait a minute. The transfer of power was certainly peaceful
Bash: Did you see what happened on January 6th? Did that look peaceful to you?
Lauro: I’m not saying that that was in any way appropriate. But the ultimate power of the presidency was transferred to Mr. Biden.

For starters, Lauro’s assertion that Trump tried to get Pence to “pause the voting for ten days” is a virtual admission of his guilt. The Congress is mandated by the Constitution to certify the Electoral College vote, and the vice-president has no authority to interfere with that. The fact that Pence declined to participate in Trump’s criminal conspiracy doesn’t absolve Trump of guilt.

Perhaps more bizarre was Lauro’s contention that the January 6th insurrection that Trump incited was a “peaceful transition of power.” He is taking the brazenly delusional position that many of Trump’s cult followers in politics and the press have previously tried to take.

SEE ALSO: Fox News Fabulist Tucker Carlson Launches a Laughably Lame Defense of His January 6th Lies

Dana Bash, however, wasn’t having it. She immediately corrected Lauro. Although her correction appeared to have no effect on him. He persisted with his lies. And he elaborated by saying that, because the presidency was eventually transferred, that any suggestion of violence was null and void. By that logic, the Civil War was peaceful. After all, ultimately power was ceded to the Union and the Confederacy acquiesced. See? Totally peaceful.

In his interview with Chuck Todd on NBC’s Meet the Press, Lauro also claimed that Trump was innocent because “Trump believed in his heart of hearts that he had won that election.” Which is an utterly absurd legal argument. It would mean that if you “believe in your heart” that your bank ripped you off, you have a right to conspire with your friends to rob it.

It’s also notable that throughout the interview, Lauro referred to Trump as the “president,” but in this exchange he referred to the actual President as “Mr. Biden.” This is a deliberate effort to shape the narrative that Biden is not the legitimate President and that Trump was denied his place as America’s first dictator.

These sort of statements might work well to feed the fetid fantasies of Trump’s cult followers on Fox News, but they will fail pitifully with the nation at large, and especially, in the courtroom. It’s a preposterous defense strategy. But it’s likely the best that Trump can expect considering that he has no coherent case for innocence, or access to reputable attorneys.

Trump Attacks Pence on Truth Social After Told By Judge to Refrain From Witness Intimidation

WOW, it’s finally happened! Not that it wasn’t entirely expected. Less than 48 hours after Judge Tanya Chutkan, who presiding over the latest indictments by special counsel Jack Smith, “reminded Trump it is a crime to intimidate a juror, bribe anyone or obstruct the administration of justice,” Trump has done so – twice.

Donald Trump, Mike Pence, Hanging

The first time came on Friday when Trump posted a comment on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, that was an overt threat to any variety of persons that could be associated with the case. He shouted in all caps, “IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I’M COMING AFTER YOU!” Let that be a warning to all of you judges, jurors, witnesses, congresspersons, and journalists. And Trump is especially mad at the prosecutors who are doing their duty to uphold the law.

SEE THIS: Trump’s Pathetic ‘Welcome to the Fraud Squad’ Meme Doesn’t Mean What He Thinks it Means

However, that threat apparently didn’t satisfy Trump’s lust for blood. So on Saturday he decided to go after a specific witness in the upcoming trial, his former Vice-President, Mike Pence, who was a target for hanging by Trump’s January 6th insurrectionists. Trump yelped that…

“WOW, it’s finally happened! Liddle’ Mike Pence, a man who was about to be ousted as Governor Indiana until I came along and made him V.P., has gone to the Dark Side. I never told a newly emboldened (not based on his 2% poll numbers!) Pence to put me above the Constitution, or that Mike was ‘too honest.’ He’s delusional, and now he wants to show he’s a tough guy. I once read a major magazine article on Mike. It said he was not a very good person. I was surprised, but the article was right. Sad!”

Trump is now characterizing Pence as “a man who was about to be ousted as Governor,” and has “gone to the dark side,” a place that Trump should know well. A few days ago he said Pence was flawed and failing.” Isn’t it comforting that this is the sort of man that Trump elevated to being once removed from the presidency? Although, he has pretty much disparaged his entire Cabinet in the same fashion. Which may be one reason that out of dozens of people who worked in the Trump administration, only four have endorsed him, and most of the others say he is unfit for office.

SEE ALSO: Trump is Running for President So He Can Appoint More People He Will Eventually Call Losers

Trump was triggered by citations in the latest indictment wherein Trump told Pence that he was “too honest” when Pence refused to go along with Trump’s scheme to undermine democracy. And he was surely upset that that Pence was making money selling “Too Honest” t-shirts. More to the point, Trump was angry because his plot to halt the certification Joe Biden’s election by the Congress on January 6, 2021 was foiled by Pence’s “disloyalty.” That constitutionally mandated event was interrupted by the rioters that Trump incited.

Trump’s denial that he made the comment is, like most of what Trump says, hardly believable. Particularly because Pence said it in contemporaneous notes that special counsel Smith included in his indictment. So Pence made those remarks two years ago, while he was still Trump’s VP, and long before he was running for president. As reported by the Associated Press

“The 45-page indictment is informed, in part, by contemporaneous notes that Pence kept of their conversations in the days leading up to the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, as Trump tried to pressure Pence to go along with his desperate — and prosecutors say illegal — scheme to keep the two men in power.

“Among the discussions: an episode in which Trump is alleged to have told Pence that he was “too honest” for rejecting Trump’s false claims that Pence had the power to overturn the vote. “Bottom line — won every state by 100,000s of votes,” Trump said in another conversation, according to the indictment.”

Smith filed a motion on Saturday for a protective order following Trump’s first threat. The judge told the Trump camp to respond by 5:00 pm Monday. Trump’s attorneys then filed for an extension. But the judge quickly denied that.

Now this new threat may add some more spice to the ongoing melodrama. But one thing remains certain: The more Trump speaks, the more trouble he gets himself into. So we can expect more of the same going forward.

Trump’s Pathetic ‘Welcome to the Fraud Squad’ Meme Doesn’t Mean What He Thinks it Means

Poor Donald Trump. He is convinced that he is social media’s top influencer and the Internet’s premiere meme artist. But to the contrary, he is a pitiful geezer barking at his glassy-eyed cult followers on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, which is hemorrhaging both cash and users as it struggles to avoid the mounting legal turmoil that is threatening its extinction.

Trump, Fraud Squad

If it seems like each new day brings more indictments against Trump, it isn’t your imagination. He pleaded not guilty on both Thursday and Friday this week to new felony counts (78 so far) of undermining democracy and obstruction of justice. Which is ironic considering what Trump said back in 2016 about Hillary Clinton, who has racked up a total of zero indictments…

SEE THIS: Donald Trump: Presidential Candidates Under Felony Indictment Have ‘No Right to Be Running’

Trump’s flaming fear of finally being held to account for his lifetime of crime has been on full display. He is lashing out furiously at his perceived enemies with rancid and infantile insults at politicians and the press. But most of all, Trump is super mad at the prosecutors who are doing their duty to uphold the law.

Trump has frequently lobbed accusations of racism at Manhattan District Attorney, Alvin Bragg, New York Attorney General, Letitia James, and Fulton County, Georgia D.A., Fani Willis, all of whom are Black. And he has repeatedly referred to special counsel Jack Smith as a “deranged” “leftist” “thug” who is doing the bidding of “Crooked” Joe Biden. Never mind that neither Biden, nor his Attorney General Merrick Garland, have had anything to do with Smith’s investigation or indictments. That’s why independent special counsels are appointed.

None of that, however, has deterred Trump from making wild and wholly unsupported claims of “prosecutorial misconduct” and “election interference.” And on Friday Trump summed up his outrage in a meme (posted above) that puts his idiocy on exhibit for the world to see.

The meme features a picture of Biden and the four prosecutors (so far) that are probing Trump’s multitude of crimes. He calls them “The Fraud Squad.” But the problem with that is that Trump’s limited capabilities with the English language make this meme a compliment, rather than the attack that he intended.

Just like the “Homicide Squad” goes after murderers, and the “Vice Squad” goes after crimes of moral offenses (gambling, prostitution, drugs), the Fraud Squad would go after swindlers, hustlers, and con men. In other words, Trump. Therefore, his graphic is actually a tribute to the President and the law enforcement officials who are seeking to bring Trump to justice.

Trump’s rap sheet for fraud is long and well documented. His phony “university” was shut down and he was ordered to pay $25 million to his victims. His New York charity, the Trump Foundation, was also shuttered and he and his family were prohibited from running any other non-profits in the state for five years.

SEE ALSO: Here’s a Quick Primer on the Criminal Corruption of the Trump Foundation

In addition to his misdirected meme, Trump also posted an overt threat just hours after he was warned not to do so by Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is overseeing his case in Washington, D.C. He raged that “IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I’M COMING AFTER YOU!”

Set aside that Trump’s threats are feeble flustering that he doesn’t have the fortitude to follow through on. They are nevertheless dangerous because they are signals to his cult disciples who might be crazy enough to carry out his retribution for him. Then they would suffer the consequences of arrest and imprisonment while Trump bellies up to the breakfast bar and crashes weddings at his Mar-a-Lago resort. Which is likely where the Fraud Squad will find him after he is convicted and they are ready to transport him to the penitentiary.

INDICT FOX NEWS! They Are as Guilty as Trump of the Same Crimes in His Latest Indictment

This week the twice-impeached Donald Trump was indicted for the third time for serious felonies against the United States. That brings the total count of the charges against him to 78. Which is a remarkable achievement considering that second place for the number charges against a president is a 45 way tie of zero counts.

Donald Trump Fox News

The latest batch of crimes in the new indictment charge Trump with: conspiracy to defraud the United States; conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding; obstruction of an official proceeding; and conspiracy against the right to vote and to have one’s vote counted. Trump’s defense is the same one he has been yammering about since his first indictment. It consists mainly of insulting the Justice Department, Attorney General Merrick Garland, special counsel Jack Smith, and of course President Biden. What his defense is conspicuously lacking is, well, a defense.

SEE THIS: Trump is OUTRAGED He Wasn’t Indicted Years Ago, While Desperately Trying to Delay His Trials

Trump’s new indictment also mentions six of his close associates as unindicted co-conspirators. They are not named in the indictment, but it is pretty clear who most of them are. Five of them have been identified in the press as Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, Sidney Powell, Jeffrey Clark, Kenneth Chesebro, and an unknown political consultant. Interestingly, all of the known co-conspirators have been Trump’s legal advisors.

However, there is another co-conspirator that wasn’t mentioned in the indictment, but that deserves more scrutiny. And that is Fox News. Examining each of the counts charged in Trump’s indictment reveals that Fox News is just as guilty of those crimes as Trump. For instance…

Conspiracy to defraud the United States:
Trump has spent nearly three years claiming falsely that the 2020 election was “rigged and stolen” from him. He has never been able to provide a shred of evidence to support his claims. But Fox News has regurgitated his lies faithfully the whole time. Their dishonesty resulted in having to agree to settle a defamation lawsuit brought by Dominion Voting Systems for 3/4 of a billion dollars.

Conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding:
Trump and his team plotted to overturn the election results by soliciting slates of fake electors who would cast their Electoral College votes for Trump, against the will of the voters. Several of Fox’s hosts (i.e. Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Maria Bartiromo) were on board with that plot and encouraged Trump to pursue it.

Obstruction of an official proceeding;
Trump’s efforts to interfere with the constitutionally mandated duties of Congress to certify the election outcome resulted in the violent insurrection on January 6th, 2021. The riots that ensued caused Congress to shut down its proceedings as their members and staff, and even Trump’s Vice-President Mike Pence, fled for their lives.

Conspiracy against the right to vote and to have one’s vote counted:
All of Trump’s activities from election day November 3, 2020, until the the January 6th insurrection and beyond, were intended to deprive American voters of their right to have the candidate of their choice assume office. He even threatened the governor of Georgia (and other state officials) with prosecution if he didn’t “find” 11,870 more votes for Trump. And Fox News aided and abetted Trump every step of the way.

While the responsibility for these offenses against America and democracy lies primarily with Trump, it is impossible to separate Fox News from the conspiracy and the crimes. Although Trump was the criminal boss, he could not have gotten as far as he did without Fox News.

Trump’s lies about 2020 election fraud, his plots to undermine democracy, his inciting of an insurrection, his pressuring of state election officials to change vote counts, all contributed to his attempted coup, and were all backed by Fox News. And it is not insignificant that many of the January 6th defendants have cited Fox News as justification for their actions. But on Fox News those rioters were heralded as heroes and/or victims.

SEE ALSO: Tucker Carlson Spins January 6th Insurrection Videos to Spread Blatant Lies, Trump Praises Him

For all of the reasons stated above, it would be appropriate for Fox News to be included in the prosecution of Trump and his crimes against the United States. Fox principles like Rupert Murdoch and Suzanne Scott, along with hosts Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Jesse Watters, Maria Bartiromo, and others, should be held to account for their anti-American actions. They are more than disseminators of propaganda. They are co-conspirators and traitors.

Trump Gushes Over Staffer Who Quit DeSantis Campaign, Who Also Says Biden Beats Trump in 2024

After eight years of Donald Trump demonstrating that he is a marginally cognitive, compulsively lying, malignant narcissist, it seems hard to imagine that he can still surprise anyone with his blustering idiocy and persistent state of blind rage. But if there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s not to underestimate the depths to which he can sink.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump, Ron DeSantis

Trump is a perpetual outrage machine. He was consumed by anger when he won the election in 2016. Rather than celebrating, he delivered an inaugural address with the theme of “American Carnage.” And to no one’s surprise, his anger was multiplied many fold when he lost in 2020. For nearly three years now Trump has been whining about having been decisively beaten by President Joe Biden, a man he calls “Sleepy” or “Crooked” and who he thinks is both crippled by senility and driven by evil genius.

RELATED: Fox News Hypes Hostile ‘Trump Revenge Tour’ Promising that ‘If He Wins He’ll Be Out for Blood’

On Wednesday Trump posted a comment on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, that once again illustrates just how demented he is. For several months Trump has been hammering at his competition for the 2024 Republican nomination for president. His main target has been Florida governor, Ron DeSantis. At every opportunity Trump lashes out at DeSantis, the only GOP candidate other than Trump who is in double digits in the polls. And in this case Trump reacted to the news that GOP campaign strategist, Ed Rollins, had quit the DeSantis “Ready for Ron” super PAC…

“Highly respected political pundit Ed Rollins just quit the DeSanctimonious Campaign saying that Ron is a highly ‘FLAWED CANDIDATE,’ whose poll numbers are crashing.”

Giving credit where it’s due, DeSantis is indeed a “highly ‘FLAWED CANDIDATE.'” Which might explain why his campaign has been going almost straight down ever since it began. Also, Rollins is a “Highly respected political pundit” in Republican campaign circles. However, Trump’s praise is peculiar for several reasons, as reported by Newsweek

To begin with, Trump is celebrating that Rollins departed the DeSantis PAC. But he must have forgotten that previously Rollins worked for Trump’s “Great America” PAC, which he left to go to work for DeSantis. So if quitting the DeSantis campaign reflects badly on DeSantis, the same thing must be true for quitting the Trump campaign. More to the point, after criticizing DeSantis, Rollins went on to say that with Trump as the GOP nominee…

“At the end of the day, I don’t see how Trump is a viable presidential candidate in part because of his legal problem. [but] unless something serious happens, Biden is probably going to get a second term…and I could even see Republicans losing their majority in the House.”

So the “highly respected political pundit” that Trump is praising so profusely for his good political sense, is predicting that Trump is going to lose again to Joe Biden. And Trump’s effect on the broader electoral landscape will also likely swing the House majority to the Democrats. And the same guy had the good sense to quit both the DeSantis and Trump campaigns. Sounds like a pretty savvy strategist. But don’t anybody tell Trump or it might trigger yet another meltdown.

Fox News Hypes Hostile ‘Trump Revenge Tour’ Promising that ‘If He Wins He’ll Be Out for Blood’

The Republican Party has long employed brazenly violent imagery and narratives to advance their anti-democratic agenda. And in the Era of Trump they escalated it levels that eventually led to the deadly January 6th insurrection in Washington, D.C. that Donald Trump incited.

Jesse Watters, Fox News

in conjunction with that authoritarian style hostility, the GOP’s Ministry of Disinformation – Fox News – has embraced the themes of warfare as a means of keeping their viewers engaged, and more importantly, consumed with blinding anger. The network is committed to the encouragement of violence on behalf of Republican politics and the MAGA movement of Trump.

RELATED: Fox News Openly Encourages Violence Against Democrats: ‘We Need These Lawmakers to Be Victims’

On Wednesday night, Jesse Watters (who replaced the ultra-violent Tucker Carlson) delivered a frothing tirade that was dripping with the sort of malice that inspires public massacres. He was mortified by the recent news that Trump was indicted for the third time on felony charges of undermining democracy. And he was determined to see to it that retribution would be meted out to everyone he regarded to be Trump’s tormentors. He harangued…

“If Trump wins, after he pardons himself, welcome to the Revenge Tour. Oh, he’ll be out for blood. You think he’s going to let bygones be bygones? He’s going to put his men at Justice, and the Clinton’s, the Obama’s, the Pelosi’s, the Schiff’s, and yeah, of course, the Bidens, everyone will be legally assaulted. Their family members, providers, their businesses, everything’s fair game after this. Trump won’t care about reelection because he’s only serving one term.”

SHEESH! Watters managed to cram in every scrap of animus he could muster. He began by floating the notion that Trump would pardon himself, for which there is no provision in the Constitution. What’s more, Watters was not subtle about his lust for “assault[ing]” Trump’s perceived foes and for Trump being “out for [the] blood” of even their family members.

Watters also warned that Trump’s revenge rampages would be unhindered by public will because he wouldn’t have to face another election. That should stir fear in the heart of every rational, patriotic American. But it’s even more disturbing than it appears on the surface. Watters is right if all means is that Trump could not run for a third term. But the prospect of Trump declaring himself president-for-life is a plausible one considering his efforts to cling to power after he lost in 2020.

This isn’t the first time that Watters has expressed his yearning for deadly violence. He previously raged that citizens who disagreed with Dr. Anthony Fauci should “go in with the kill shot.” But as sick as that is, most of Watters’ ravings are grossly oversaturated with his sexual perversions.

Fox News Says People Won’t Care About the Trump Indictments Unless They Involve Sex and Bribes

Now that Donald Trump has been indicted for the third time – which is three times more than any other former American president – his Ministry of Propaganda (aka Fox News) has deployed their Trump Defense Force in an attempt whitewash his crimes as either insignificant or politically motivated.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump, Pervert

The knee-jerk nullification of the serious felonies that Trump has been charged with is typical for Fox News and the broader MAGA media that faithfully disinform his cult followers. However, the arguments asserted by his advocates are pitifully devoid of logic or any rational factual basis. In that respect they are taking their cues from Trump himself.

SEE THIS: Trump is OUTRAGED He Wasn’t Indicted Years Ago, While Desperately Trying to Delay His Trials

The most common complaint by the Trump thumpers is that the latest batch of indictments are partisan efforts to step on his First Amendment rights. But that could not be further from the truth. The problem with that assertion is that Trump is not being charged for what he said, but for what he did. If he merely made comments about objecting to the election results, he would not have been indicted. This was addressed in the third paragraph of the indictment, which reads…

“The Defendant has a right, like every American, to speak publicly about the election and even to claim, falsely, that there had been outcome-derivative fraud during the election and that he had won, He was also entitled to formally challenge the results of the election through lawful and appropriate means, such as by seeking recounts or audits of the popular vote in states or filing lawsuits challenging ballots and procedures. Indeed, in many cases, the Defendant did pursue these methods of contesting election results. His efforts to change the outcome in any state through recounts, audits, or legal challenges were uniformly unsuccessful.”

Trump went way beyond merely expressing his disagreement or disappoint with having decisively lost to now President Joe Biden, or the man Trump called “Sleepy Joe.” He took actions to pressure election officials to “find votes” and change outcomes, to conspire to obstruct the constitutionally mandated duties of Congress to certify the election, to illegally assemble slates of fake electors. All of which amounted to the deprivation of the rights of American citizens to have their votes counted.

As an example of the pathetic efforts to sanctify Dear Leader Trump of any and all wrongdoing, Jesse Watters of Fox News delivered a tedious monologue that typified the rest of the network’s coordinated narrative. He dismissed everything related to Trump’s role in the January 6th insurrection that he incited. Watters raged that “A lot of people don’t even know what January 6th was. […] And for the people that watched it on TV, they’re over it.”

Bullsh*t Any patriotic American who saw what happened on January 6th will live with that horror for the rest of their lives. Which speaks to the utter lack of patriotism on the part of Jesse Watters. He then went on to say that people don’t care about Trump having stolen and hoarded classified documents either. Apparently his view is that the American people don’t care if their leaders incite insurrections, stage coups, undermine democracy, or put national security at risk. So what does he think people care about? …

“In the nineties, you had sex. It was titillating. People were very focused on it. It was a different culture back then. If you find cash bribes that go into Biden’s offshore bank accounts, that’s going to light up the country. […] OK, sex and cash bribes. That’s going to do it. Documents and January 6th is not going to do it.”

And there you have it. According to Fox News only crimes that include sex and bribes are worthy of the nation’s attention. And it’s all that anyone will care about. In defense of Watters, he is probably right if he’s talking only about Fox News viewers. Although he is missing an important detail among the criminal activities that Trump engaged in. Trump’s previous indictment for financial fraud was due to his having paid hush money to porn star Stormy Daniels to buy her silence. In other words, it was about sex and bribes.

In the same rant, Watters whined that Trump’s indictments were “overkill” and “political germ warfare” and “political war crimes.” He called them “an atrocity,” that is “like not just dropping one atomic bomb. You drop 15 dozen.” And he warned that if Trump reelected he would “unleash hell on all of his enemies,” saying that “You think he’s not going to go after the Bidens? He might go after Dr. Jill at this point.” Which is pretty much the Republican platform of retribution for 2024.

Finally, Watters took a swipe at special counsel Jack Smith. And true to form, it blatantly distorted reality. The video he spoke over actually contradicted what he was saying.

YES OR NO? GOP Biden Basher Can’t Answer Hannity’s Question About Bogus Bribery Allegations

The razor thin Republican majority in the House of Representatives is continuing to dig furiously for any crumb of contrived corruption on the part of President Biden and/or other Democrats. In that pursuit they have held numerous hearings that inevitably resulted in humiliation for the GOP scandal mongers.

Fox News, Sean Hannity, Joe Biden

Leading the charge are devoted Trump toadies Jim Jordan, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, and James Comer, chairman of the House Oversight Committee. Between them they have managed to obsessively hype countless crackpot conspiracy theories that have resulted in unequivocal exonerations of the targets of their political animus.

The latest red herring they have been chasing has turned around and bit them in their fat arsenals of slander-bait. For several weeks they have been boasting that Devon Archer, a former business partner of Hunter Biden, would be coming to Congress and providing “bombshell” testimony that would send the entire Biden family to prison. On Monday Archer finally showed up and gave testimony that contradicted everything that the Republican shills had promised. Axios published a summary of the testimony that said…

“Archer testified that Hunter put his father on the phone with friends and business associates roughly 20 times over 10 years.”
That’s a grand total of twice a year.

“Archer ‘repeated over and over and over again that President Biden never discussed any business dealings or interests with Hunter or anyone else,'”
So Republicans outright lied about that.

“Archer testified that he knew nothing about the alleged $5 million bribes paid to the Biden family.”
So Republicans outright lied about that too.

“Archer also testified that Burisma believed efforts to oust Ukrainian prosecutor general Viktor Shokin were bad for the Ukrainian energy company.”
Consequently, Biden’s efforts to oust the prosecutor were bad for Hunter as well.

Following that disaster, Comer rushed over to Fox News for a propaganda fest with Sean Hannity. But he even failed to achieve his dishonest disinformation goals in that friendly environment…

Hannity: Yes or no. Do you believe that this is now officially the Joe Biden bribery allegation, and do you believe that you will be able to prove that?
Comer: I sure hope so. And I do believe that there’s a lot of smoke and where there’s smoke there’s fire. And we just heard testimony today that Joe Biden has lied to that American people.

Comer’s reply to Hannity’s straightforward inquiry is telling. Comer could not give Hannity the “yes or no” response that he asked for. Instead, Comer gave a wimpy “I sure hope so.” Which is not a statement of confidence in the guilt of those he’s accusing. It’s just an expression of his blatant, unfounded, partisan desires. A prosecutor doesn’t go into court and tell the judge that he doesn’t have any evidence, but “I sure hope” to get a guilty verdict anyway.

What’s more, Comer’s allusion to the presence of smoke and/or fire is more harmful to his Dear Leader Donald Trump than to Biden. For Trump there are already more than 70 felony counts filed against him that are well supported by material evidence and witness testimony. Whereas the only thing wafting from the Biden controversy are the fumes fanned by lying Republicans.

There is also no truth to Comer’s assertion that Biden lied to that American people. To the contrary, Archer, the GOP’s own witness, confirms that everything that Biden said previously about his not having discussed business with his son, was true.

Much of what Comer and other Republicans have based their conspiracy talk on were allegations that Biden pressured Ukrainian President Zelenskyy to fire a prosecutor who was supposedly working on a case involving Burisma, the company that Hunter was affiliated with. However, Biden was executing the policy of the U.S. government (and the E.U., and the IMF) to get rid of a corrupt prosecutor who was not, in fact, investigating Burisma. Biden’s efforts actually worked against Hunter’s financial interests. Comer, and the rest of the GOP, know this, but pretend not to. Which results in utterly dishonest messages like this one from Marjorie Taylor Greene…

Greene is correct that Archer told the Committee that Biden and his son spoke 20 times. But he also explicitly said that they never discussed business. And Greene’s deliberate distortions are representative of the GOP’s take on these matters overall. Clearly, reality has a hard time coexisting with Republicans, whose sole purpose in Washington is malign Democrats and spread lies.

Trump Has Made His Decision to Chicken Out of the First GOP Primary Debate on Fox News

The roster of candidates for the 2024 Republican nomination for president is surprisingly long considering that the former GOP White House occupant is a candidate himself and is trouncing his rivals in the polls. That’s an indication that trouble is brewing for Donald Trump, and his party cohorts are willing to exploit it.

Trump’s troubles are Titanic in scope. He has already been indicted on more than seventy felony counts ranging from violations of the Espionage Act, to paying hush money to a porn star, to obstruction of justice. And that isn’t counting the probable new charges related to his inciting the January 6th insurrection and staging an anti-democratic coup.

In the midst of this political apocalypse, the Republican Party is preparing for the the first presidential primary debate. It will be held August 23, and broadcast on Fox News. The candidates that have met the criteria for participation so far are Trump, Ron DeSantis, Chris Christie, Nikki Haley, Tim Scott, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Doug Burgum. Which is not exactly anyone’s idea of an electoral “A” list.

In what must be a humiliating descent into obscurity, Mike Pence has yet to qualify. For his part, Trump has been teasing for weeks that he would not join the contest for America’s Biggest Loser. Why should he, since he already won that title in 2020? However, Trump’s foremost motivation for missing the debate is fear. He has always proven to be afraid of participating in any event that he doesn’t control. That’s why all of his appearances are either on friendly MAGA media or at his own cult rallies.

On Monday morning Trump posted a comment on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, that appears to put to rest the speculation about whether he would have the guts to debate his GOP peers. The post said simply…

“Let them debate so I can see who I MIGHT consider for Vice President!”

Notice that he refers to letting “them” debate, explicitly separating himself from the rabble. And his only interest in the affair is that it might serve as a casting call for his vice-president, were he to become the nominee. Which, given his legal peril, is not a foregone conclusion. Also, does anyone think that Trump would actually consider Ron DeSantis or Chris Christie as possible running mates?

The madness of Trump was also evident in other comments he posted. For instance, he alt-tweeted his prediction of more criminal charges saying that “I assume that an Indictment from Deranged Jack Smith and his highly partisan gang of Thugs…will be coming out any day now.” And he slandered President Biden by asserting with zero evidence that “Crooked Joe Biden stole Millions and Millions of Dollars from China.”

Perhaps the most pitiful display of ignorance was his failure to comprehend double jeopardy. He clearly doesn’t grasp the difference between an impeachment and an indictment when he claims that it is “ridiculous” for special counsel Jack Smith to charge him because he has already “been fully acquitted, in the U.S. Senate.” And for the record, a bipartisan majority of 57 senators voted to convict Trump of crimes related to his role in the January 6th insurrection, which was shy of the 67 needed for passage.

No wonder Trump is to scared to show up for the debate. He would have to account for his multitude of criminal offenses, along with his record of incompetence, corruption, and chaos, as the alleged president. And while most of the candidates on the stage are just as cowardly as Trump – they still refuse to openly attack him at the risk of angering his cult – he would still have to face occasional criticism (i.e. from Chris Christie) that he would be incapable of responding to coherently.

What’s more, Trump’s fear also extends to Fox News as the host of the debate. His dysfunctional relationship with the network infamous goes back many years. So perhaps it’s for the best that he’s too scared to show. He can only make things worse if he does.
