Trump’s Obama Envy May Be Tormenting Him Even More than the Possibility of Prison

The daily outpouring of unrestrained outrage by Donald Trump has become a spectacle that exceeds the pretensions of the most hyper-sensationalized soap opera. He somehow always manages to top his prior bombastic blathering with ever more rancor and hostility. It’s core symptom of his sociopathic, malignant narcissism.

In recent weeks Trump has been bellowing about the FBI having searched his Mar-a-Lago bunker in order to retrieve thousands of documents that he unlawfully took from the White House, many of which were classified at the highest levels. And his petulant tantrums produced a preposterous array of excuses for his criminal conduct.

But nothing seems to trigger Trump’s tempter more than his being compared to former President Barack Obama. Trump’s seething jealously of Obama was a prime motivating factor for his entry into politics, and it remains at the top of his list of personal grievances. Consequently, Trump is not going to happy to hear that Obama just won an Emmy for work on the Netflix documentary series, “Our Great National Parks.”

“The five-part show, which features national parks from around the globe, is produced by Barack and Michelle Obama’s production company, “Higher Ground.”

“He was the biggest name in a category full of famous nominees for the award handed out at Saturday night’s Creative Arts Emmys, including Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, David Attenborough and Lupita Nyong’o.”

This is an especially touchy subject for Trump who long craved an Emmy for himself. But he was never even nominated throughout fourteen seasons of his cheesy reality game show, The Apprentice. Still, it was far from the only aching neglect that has vexed Trump’s humungous, but fragile, ego.

Trump is surely distraught over the fact that Obama was elected twice by majorities of voters, while Trump lost the popular vote twice as well as the presidency in his second attempt. Although Trump did outscore Obama two to zero in impeachments.

As a result of what Trump regards as spurious snubs, he acted out in the most infantile manner. He refused to present the official White House portraits of Michelle and Barack Obama, as new presidents have done for decades for their predecessors. President Biden is going to correct that petty disrespect by Trump this week.

Meanwhile, Trump paid $650,000 to the Smithsonian Institution to fund portraits of himself and Melania for the National Portrait Gallery. That was money that he raised through his deceitfully named “Save America” PAC. Those are funds that he had promised to spend on electing MAGA Republicans, advancing the “Big Lie” that he won the 2020 election, and fight his legal battles.

Trump has also employed Obama “whataboutism” as one of his excuses for having stolen national security materials and storing them at his Palm Beach resort/home. in post on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, Trump wondered…

“What happened to the 30 million pages of documents taken from the White House to Chicago by Barack Hussein Obama? He refused to give them back! What is going on? This act was strongly at odds with NARA. Will they be breaking into Obama’s “mansion” in Martha’s Vineyard?”

The truth, as noted in the Washington Post, is that “the Obama team was transferring the records to Chicago through the National Archives,” [and that} “there isn’t the faintest hint of legal violations.” In other words, the documents were always managed by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), which controlled the facility in Chicago, and none of them were classified, which was affirmed by NARA.

Trump’s Obama envy was still evident as recently as last night at his cult rally in Pennsylvania, where he whined that…

Trump is so proud of getting more votes than Obama. Too bad it was four years later (Obama was happily retired), and he was running against Joe Biden, who got seven million more votes than Trump. What’s more, Trump simply can’t contain his jealousy of Obama’s looks and oratory. It really is pathetic that Trump feels the need to constantly compare himself to someone so obviously superior in every way. He just keeps setting himself up to be seen as the loser that he has always been.

Trump Whines that He’s ‘Really Rich’ in Pathetic Attempt to Cure His Truth Social Disease

For years Donald Trump has bragged about his alleged wealth as proof of his self-proclaimed brilliance and competence as a successful businessman. Never mind that he inherited his fortune and ran it into the ground with foolish investments and bad management. He would have made more money if he had simply put his inheritance in an S&P 500 index fund.

Now Trump is using the same sort of impotent boasting to salve his gargantuan but fragile ego after more bad news about his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social came out. The website he founded after Twitter suspended his account “due to the risk of further incitement of violence,” has been a disaster from its inception. And it’s actually gotten worse since Trump began using it himself.

The latest truth published about “Truth” Social is that Google has banned it from their Google Play app store due to its tolerance and promotion of violence. Bloomberg News reports that…

“Google’s Play store is declining to distribute Donald Trump’s Truth Social app, saying the network still needs to resolve the fact that it hosts violent threats and other content that goes against Google’s standards.”

In response to this story, Trump posted a furious comment that is rife with ridiculous claims of how his social media scam is thriving. He raged that…

“TRUTH is doing really well. It has truly become our MAGA VOICE, but also a voice for the RINOs and Radical Left Lunatics. Engagements are far better, more interesting, and spirited than anywhere else. I like it much better than Twitter, which is a complete mess. Sign up on TRUTH now, only getting stronger. Google is coming along nicely (I think?). SEC trying to hurt company doing financing (SPAC). Who knows? In any event, I don’t need financing, “I’m really rich!” Private company anyone???”

As usual, Trump can’t seem to get anywhere close to reality in his pitiful efforts to pretend that he isn’t a big loser. Trump’s alternative facts are diametrically opposed to what is actually happening with his vanity website. Both Trump’s “Trump Media and Technology Group” (TMTG), and “Digital World Acquisition Corporation” (DWAC), the shell company that was expected to take the new business public, are in serious legal and financial trouble. DWAC has declined in value by 75% from its high mark last March. And that’s not all…

Trump Rants Hysterically as His PRAVDA Social Bans Users Who Post the Truth About January 6th
“Trump’s Twitter copycat claiming it is ‘free from political discrimination,’ has reportedly banned users who posted information from Thursday’s congressional hearing on the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.”

That’s what Trump regards as “doing really well”? If he thinks that his anti-social site is a voice for what he calls “Radical Left Lunatics,” he may just get that insanity defense he’s been angling for. He is correct, however, – and he has bragged that – the site serves as a voice for himself and the other MAGA terrorists that President Biden recently called out so eloquently.

Finally, if Trump is so damn rich, why does he spend so much time begging for money from his hillbilly cult followers? And he doesn’t even use a penny of it for what he promises it’s being raised for. Such as electing MAGA Republicans, advancing his “Big Lie” that the 2020 election was “rigged” and “stolen” from him, and fighting the multitude of legal battles due to his inbred corruption.

And yet, his glassy-eyed disciples still open their wallets for his cons. It would be sad if it weren’t so funny and so destructive of his own nefarious goals.

UPDATE: DWAC failed to get backing for an extension to complete their merger with Trump’s Truth Social venture. Which means they will have to forfeit billions in pledged investments and a place on the stock exchange. Next stop…another Trump bankruptcy.

Here’s All the MAGA in Biden’s ‘Soul of America’ Speech – And Trump’s Crackpot Critique

President Biden delivered a primetime address on Thursday that was both hopeful and harrowing. The subject was “The Battle for the Soul of the Nation,” and early on Biden identified the choices that face the country asking whether America should “be a nation of hope and unity and optimism, or a nation of fear, division, and of darkness?”

While Biden’s optimism was present throughout, the threat to America’s democracy was what made this speech necessary. Donald Trump and his MAGA cult have become increasingly dangerous since he lost the presidential election in 2020. They have refused to accept the will of the people. They have worked tirelessly to undermine democracy. And they even tried to stage a coup by violently attacking Congress on January 6th, 2021.

More recently, Trump was found to have been hoarding classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago resort/home, posing enormous risks to national security. And after being caught, he began making exponentially more absurd excuses for his crimes and his lies to the FBI. All of this has led to Trump and his cult followers turning more to violence and threats of violence.

That’s what Biden sought to alert the nation about in his speech. It was a non-partisan message that expressly drew a distinction between mainstream Republicans (to the extent that any still exist) and the MAGA Republicans who have pledged their devotion to Dear Leader Trump. In that regard, Biden made several references to Trump’s hateful MAGA movement. For the record, is here what Biden said about the hostile and openly seditionist MAGA-nauts (video below, and transcript here)…

“MAGA Republicans do not respect the Constitution. They do not believe in the rule of law. They do not recognize the will of the people. They refuse to accept the results of a free election.”

“They see their MAGA failure to stop a peaceful transfer of power after the 2020 election as preparation for the 2022 and 2024 elections.”

“MAGA Republicans have made their choice. They embrace anger. They thrive on chaos. They live not in the light of truth but in the shadow of lies.”

“Democrats, independents, mainstream Republicans: We must be stronger, more determined, and more committed to saving American democracy than MAGA Republicans are to destroying American democracy.”

“Democracy cannot survive when one side believes there are only two outcomes to an election: either they win or they were cheated. And that’s where MAGA Republicans are today.

“MAGA Republicans look at America and see carnage and darkness and despair. They spread fear and lies – lies told for profit and power. But I see a very different America — an America with an unlimited future.”

“The MAGA Republicans believe that for them to succeed, everyone else has to fail.”

“History tells us that blind loyalty to a single leader and a willingness to engage in political violence is fatal to democracy.”

Naturally, Trump couldn’t refrain from weighing in with his customary distortions of reality. in a comment that he posted on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, Trump wrote that…

“If you look at the words and meaning of the awkward and angry Biden speech tonight, he threatened America, including with the possible use of military force. He must be insane, or suffering from late stage dementia!”

If you look at the words and meaning of Biden’s speech, you will find nothing that even remotely approaches the bullpucky that Trump is ranting about. Biden never “threatened America,” or suggested using military force in any way. Trump’s failure to provide a quote is evidence of his shameless dishonesty and/or cognitive collapse. He’s just flinging feces at the wall to see if anything will stick.

It’s ironic that Trump asserts that Biden is “insane, or suffering from late stage dementia!.” Given his inability to coherently comment on Biden’s speech, his imaginary description of what the speech was about, and his pitifully predictable hostility triggered by fake recollections, it’s Trump who appears to be distancing himself from the real world. But then, that’s nothing new for him.

Tucker Carlson of Fox News Bashes Biden’s ‘Soul of America’ Speech – that He Didn’t Watch

On Thursday night President Biden delivered an address that was intended to alert the nation to the threat of right-wing extremism as embodied in Donald Trump and his MAGA cult. So predictably, the knee-jerk, anti-Biden brigades were out in force to lambaste him, mostly for things he never said.

At the front of the line was Tucker Carlson of Fox News. He began his harangue even before Biden began speaking, so he obviously hadn’t seen a second of it. Yet his moron-ologue was filled with the hostility of a wounded predator on crack. Carlson raged that…

“If you are watching this right now, you are missing a rare prime-time address from Joe Biden. Biden doesn’t give a lot of those for obvious reasons, but tonight’s topic is worthy of the occasion. America is under attack. And not from our usual enemies. The threat we face tonight is existential, but it’s not coming from barefoot religious extremists living in caves. It’s not the Chinese government. It’s not even Vladimir Putin, himself, the most diabolically evil man in history.

“No, ladies and gentlemen, this threat is worse than all of that, and it’s home grown. As they say in the horror movies, it’s coming from inside the house. The single gravest threat to America today is Republican voters, all 75 million of them. They are Nazis and destroyers of democracy. They must be stopped. That is the message of Joe Biden’s speech.”

Carlson didn’t (couldn’t) cite a single passage from Biden’s speech. Not having seen any of it will cause that sort of omission. And yet, he spoke as if he had watched the whole thing and had something relevant to say about it. But he could not have heard any of the numerous times that Biden expressed his optimism about America’s promise and his confidence in its future. He couldn’t have heard Biden praise free speech, even that of a heckler cussing at him through a bullhorn.

However, the real message for the speech was the peril presented by what Biden calls Trump or MAGA Republicans. Carlson blatantly lied when he said that Biden had attacked “all 75 million” Republican voters, when he explicitly clarified that it was a small faction of the GOP’s extreme right wing. Biden clearly specified that…

“Too much of what’s happening in our country today is not normal. Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic. Now, I want to be very clear, very clear up front: Not every Republican, not even the majority of Republicans, are MAGA Republicans. Not every Republican embraces their extreme ideology. I know because I’ve been able to work with these mainstream Republicans. But there is no question that the Republican Party today is dominated, driven, and intimidated by Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans, and that is a threat to this country.”

“These are hard things. But I’m an American President — not the President of red America or blue America, but of all America. And I believe it is my duty — my duty to level with you, to tell the truth no matter how difficult, no matter how painful. And here, in my view, is what is true: MAGA Republicans do not respect the Constitution. They do not believe in the rule of law. They do not recognize the will of the people.”

As usual, Carlson and Fox News don’t bother to connect their bonehead blather to reality. Their mission has always been to viciously malign Democrats and the majority of progressive Americans with rancid hostility and overt hatred in order to divide the nation. And the people who are now accusing Biden of being divisive, are the same people who have been for years calling him a senile Marxist who wants to destroy the country. Then they demand that we unite with them? Yeah, right!

WTF? Now Trump Says the FBI Was Looking for Hillary Clinton’s Emails at Mar-a-Lago

For much of the post-presidency of Donald Trump, some analysts having observed his increasingly bizarre conduct and statements, have suggested that he might be laying the groundwork for an insanity defense should any of the investigations in progress lead to indictments. That’s always seemed to be a fanciful notion, but an improbable one. Until now.

On Thursday morning Trump called into the radio show of wingnut Wendy Bell to pontificate on the recent search of his Mar-a-Lago bunker by the FBI. For the three weeks since, Trump has floated an array of progressively ludicrous explanations and excuses for what occurred and why. Including that the FBI staged a photo of the classified documents that he hoarded in manner that made him look like slob.

A brief summary of Trump’s accusations would include that the documents that don’t exist, and which Trump refused to return when subpoenaed, were actually there, but he was using them, even though someone else packed them without his knowledge, which didn’t happen because the FBI planted them, and the documents that the FBI planted were all declassified in a secret ceremony, and protected by attorney-client privilege. No, really!

On Bell’s radio show Trump offered up a brand new reason for the FBI search. Although it’s a reason that draws on one of Trump favorite crackpot conspiracy theories from the old days. In a rambling and disjointed proclamation, Trump revealed that…

“I think they were looking for Hillary Clinton emails. I think they thought… and who knows? Boxes full of stuff… I think they thought that Hillary Clinton…it had something to do with the Russia, Russia, Russia… They were afraid that things were in there, part of their scam material, because that’s what they are, the scammers. And they would think that things were in there having to do with… Can you imagine…?”

Excuse me? Are we really reviving the Hillary Clinton email nonsense to explain the motives for the FBI’s efforts to recover highly sensitive national security materials that Trump stole and hoarded as his Palm Beach resort/home? Is Trump confessing that he took documents related to Clinton when he left the White House? Or is he asserting that the FBI is on his side in the quest find incriminating dirt on Clinton so that he can “Lock her up”? And where does Russia figure into his lunacy?

Perhaps a more complex, though equally as preposterous, theory is that Trump is implying that he took alleged evidence against Clinton for safekeeping, so that he could press charges against her when he resumes his post as American Dictator. And the FBI was trying to get it back so they could destroy it. Leaving the door open for Muslim King Obama to return to power.

That’s precisely the sort of devious and nefarious plot that would fester in Trump’s diseased brain. Is it crazy? Sure! Crazy like a Fox News segment.

Speaking of which, Fox’s Trump-fluffers are still struggling mightily to absolve him of any guilt for having the classified documents that he says aren’t classified anymore. Except that Fox’s Jeanine Pirro just conceded that they are classified. “I was shocked,” said Pirro, “to see classified documents and photos on a floor released by the FBI.” And Alan Dershowitz said the same thing on Newsmax. “This is classified material,” Dershowitz insisted, “and they’re putting it out and giving it to our enemies because they want to, because they can.”

Of course the content in the documents was covered up so that our enemies couldn’t possibly see any of it. But it’s interesting that these Trumpers are more concerned about how the evidence was displayed while in the FBI’s custody, than that there is such incriminating evidence of Trump’s treasonous malfeasance by storing these documents so insecurely at his hotel.

All of this reflects just how desperate and devoid of rational excuses they are for Trump’s obvious guilt. And as the walls close in around him, we can expect the madness to grow exponentially. Hillary better watch out. Trump still has not hit bottom. Can you imagine?

Poor Crybaby Trump is ‘Confused’ About the Photo of the Classified Documents He Stole

Lawyers for Donald Trump filed a motion to appoint a “Special Master” to review the documents that were recently recovered by the FBI from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago bunker. However, that motion may have been just another bit of poor judgment on the part of Trump and his legal team, because it gave the Department of Justice an opportunity to flesh out its case against Trump in public.

The DOJ’s response was a detailed exposition of why Trump’s possession of classified materials was illegal and potentially harmful to national security. And among the evidence that the DOJ provided was a photograph of some of the classified documents that the FBI found.

The inclusion of that photo, and the subsequent reporting on it by the press, has triggered Trump into posting yet another deranged comment on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social. In a fit of desperation, Trump wrote that…

“There seems to be confusion as to the “picture” where documents were sloppily thrown on the floor and then released photographically for the world to see, as if that’s what the FBI found when they broke into my home. Wrong! They took them out of cartons and spread them around on the carpet, making it look like a big “find” for them. They dropped them, not me – Very deceiving…And remember, we could have NO representative, including lawyers, present during the Raid. They were told to wait outside.”

WOW! That’s a hefty bowl of bullshittery right there. First of all, Trump seems to think that the most significant revelation in this photo is not the presence of documents that are clearly marked “Secret/SCI” (Sensitive Compartmentalized Information), but instead, the manner in which the documents were displayed. He accuses the FBI of “sloppily throw[ing them] on the floor” in order to embarrass him. He thinks that the FBI considered this a way of “making it look like a big ‘find.'” And he thinks that the FBI intended for it to appear that Trump was the one who made the mess on the floor.

Really? The documents were obviously spread out by the FBI so that the classification markings could be seen. There was no attempt to suggest that Trump had left them out on the floor this way. And the text of the DOJ’s filing never even hinted at that. No one but Trump cares about how the documents were displayed.

What’s more, Trump’s whining about the FBI breaking into his home is hysteria in the extreme. They had a legally issued search warrant that was obtained after Trump failed to comply with a subpoena and lied to the FBI.

More importantly, Trump is no longer making excuses for why he had these documents. He is has ceased pretending that they don’t exist. He isn’t accusing the FBI of planting them, or of someone else packing them. He is, in fact, confessing that he took them and kept them, despite having been told to return them to the National Archives. In effect, Trump has destroyed his own defense.

The legal peril that is engulfing Trump now just keeps getting worse. Even Fox News is having trouble defending him. Karl Rove was interviewed Wednesday by Martha MacCallum about the DOJ’s recent filing. MacCallum attempted to put forward Trump’s side saying that his lawyers had “their feelings about what was rightfully his and able to take.” Rove interrupted saying “Let’s be clear on this. None of these government documents are his to have taken.” He then elaborated…

“Under the Presidential Records Act of 1976, you cannot take original documents out of the White House with you when you leave the White House, whether you’re the President of the United States or any of his aides. It’s verboten under the law. Now there’s no criminal penalties for violating it, but why the former president packed up 20, nearly 30 some odd boxes of materials when he had no right to do so – and that’s what the government asserts incidentally in this filing.

“The former president asked for the return of the documents because, as he said in his filing, they were created during his administration. And the response of the government in their filing was that’s evidence that they aren’t his. If they were developed in the White House during the time of his presidency under the Presidential Records Act, they belong to the government, not to him.”

As they say in the propaganda game…“When you’ve lost Karl Rove…” Not to mention Fox News. Rove’s analysis is uncharacteristically correct. Although it should be noted that there are criminal penalties associated with Trump’s actions that include mishandling of classified documents and obstruction of justice for starters.

Fox News Flunky Peter Doocy Deliberately Distorts Biden’s Pro-Police Calls for Unity

The Republican Party has become so deeply damaged by Donald Trump and his gargantuan, though fragile, ego, that they are abandoning the principles that were once the core of their political doctrine. For decades the GOP tried to pass itself off as the “law and order” party, despite the fact that many more of their members have been charged and convicted of crimes.

On Tuesday President Biden was in Pennsylvania to deliver a speech about public safety. He was taking head on what Republicans have traditionally claimed was a policy they believed was their personal property. However, a key component of Biden’s message was that “When it comes to public safety in this nation, the answer is not defund the police, it’s fund the police.”

Biden also condemned the GOP’s support for Trump, even after he incited a violent insurrection in Washington, D.C., during which more than 140 law enforcement officers were injured. And he made reference to Sen. Lindsey Graham’s unconscionable threat that there will be “riots in the streets” if Trump is held to account for his cavalcade of criminality.

As Biden was speaking, Fox News, true to form, cut away from the speech to fling unfounded criticisms at him. Among those interrupting Biden to bash him was Fox’s Senior Nepotistic White House correspondent, Peter Doocy. And as is required by Fox News, he offered a purposefully dishonest representation of Biden’s comments in a deceptively brief clip…

Biden: Whose side are you on?
Doocy: Compare the volume there with this measured line from the inaugural address. The President said “We can join forces, stop the shouting, and lower the temperature.” The President said, on his first day, he thinks unity is the path forward, is now telling people instead to pick a side.

There is so much wrong with that short burst of bullpucky. First of all, does Doocy really think that an analysis of the volume of Biden’s voice is some sort of profound insight? More to the point, Doocy is deliberately misrepresenting Biden’s remarks. Biden was not asking anyone to pick a side with respect to a political party, as Doocy implied. He was asking people to choose police over violent rioters; respect for the law over lawless hostility. And Doocy knows that.

For the record, here is a longer clip of Biden’s remarks that presents them in context…

“So let me say this to my MAGA Republican friends in Congress. Don’t tell me you support law enforcement if you won’t condemn what happened on [January] 6th. Can’t do it. For god’s sake, whose side are you on? Whose side are you on? You’re either on the side of the mob or the side of police. You can’t be pro-law enforcement and pro-insurrection. You can’t be a party of law and order and call the people who attacked police patriots.

It is also important to note that unity is not a goal that must be met unconditionally. While there is merit to uniting Americans behind efforts to improve their lives and advance the interests of the nation, no American should seek unity with violent insurrectionists, Nazis, racists, traitors, or others who reject our laws and Constitution.

Finally, there is surely no need to form a unifying bond with disgraced former presidents who steal highly sensitive national security materials, store them insecurely at their resort/hotel, and lie to the FBI about having them. Certainly we can all unify behind that.

Trump Spins a New Crackpot Conspiracy Combining an FBI Retiree, Mar-a-Lago, and Hunter Biden

He’s at it again. Donald Trump is posting feverishly on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, about the avalanche of atrocities that have been accurately attributed to him. On this Tuesday morning he has pounded out more than 60 rage fueled rants, mostly reposts of random Truth Socialists and QAnon-sense accounts. And mostly with less than a 1,000 reposts on his thinly trafficked website.

Prominent among Trump’s plaintive whining is his paranoid fixation on what he believes to be the world’s determination to destroy his MAGA dreams. His acute victimhood is now focused on a conspiracy theory about a retiring FBI agent who Trump and his cult disciples are convinced is serving some clandestine anti-Trump cabal. Trump spun a fantastical tale about a…

“‘Special Agent’ In Charge of the unprecedented and unnecessary Raid and Break In of Mar-a-Lago [who] was also involved in the hiding and suppressing from the Public and the Media, the ‘Laptop from Hell,’ the 2020 Presidential Election Scam, and so much more!”

Trump also insisted that this bogus “scandal” warranted that some amorphous, unidentified overlord “Declare [him] the rightful winner” of the 2020 election, or “have a new Election, immediately!” Which anyone modestly educated about the law and the Constitution knows that that is not how any of this works.

What Trump is referring to is a report that Agent Timothy Thibault is retiring after 25 years of service to the FBI. This exceedingly ordinary event has been clutched onto by Republicans and the wingnut press as having some sort of secret and nefarious back story. Along with Trump, they are accusing him of having been in charge of the search of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago bunker, as well as the investigation into Hunter Biden’s stolen laptop.

The truth, however, is quite different. Thibault is a relatively low-level staffer with the D.C. field office. He had no authority to influence either the Biden case or the investigation into Trump’s hoarding of highly sensitive national security materials at his Palm Beach resort/hotel. Also, the Biden case was actually run out of a different FBI field office and it is still ongoing.

In any case, the FBI would not have opened a politically charged case in October of 2020, so close to an election. Even Fox News reported that Thibault had nothing to do with Mar-a-Lago:

“Thibault was one of 13 assistant special agents in charge at the Washington field office. He was not involved in the FBI raid on former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate earlier this month at any level.”

Trump cultists have been busy maligning law enforcement for allegedly suppressing the probe into Hunter Biden. They complained that “Deep State” actors sought to portray the existence of his stolen laptop as Russian propaganda. However, news reports were not saying that the laptop didn’t exist, only that Russia was exploiting the story to foment distrust in American democracy. They were. And, not coincidentally, so was Donald Trump.

The Trumpies got their latest crackpot theory from an interview of Facebook boss, Mark Zuckerberg, by Joe Rogan. It’s rather telling that when Zuckerberg said that the FBI had warned him of a spike in Russian disinformation, the right-wing echo chamber immediately claimed it was about Hunter Biden, even though Zuckerberg never said that. It’s an utterly false narrative that is also being spread on Fox News…

Trump himself cited the Rogan/Zuckerberg interview as proof that, but for the “fake News” he “would have easily won the 2020 Presidential Election.” Which is a rare admission by Trump that he actually lost the election. And not because of a massive, nationwide campaign of voter fraud, but because of alleged misreporting about the travails of President Biden’s wayward son. Yeah, that’s the ticket! And with that we have hit a temporary bottom for Trump’s pathetic excuse-making. But don’t be fooled. He can still go much lower.

Wannabe Dictator Trump Decrees a Delusional Demand that He Be Anointed American Messiah

As the legal peril that is engulfing Donald Trump continues to choke off any plausible opportunities to escape accountability for his multitude of crimes, he is exhibiting ever more severe degrees of desperation. It’s the cornered rat syndrome that is driving his increasingly bizarre outbursts and fits of rage.

On Monday morning Trump posted an extraordinarily deranged rant on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social. In his customarily inarticulate, run-on sentence style of incoherent blather, Trump lashed out at his perceived enemies with the viciousness and venom of someone who is both frightened and unalterably conscious of his guilt.

Trump seethed…

“So now it comes out, conclusively, that the FBI BURIED THE HUNTER BIDEN LAPTOP STORY BEFORE THE ELECTION knowing that, if they didn’t, “Trump would have easily won the 2020 Presidential Election.” This is massive FRAUD & ELECTION INTERFERENCE at a level never seen before in our Country. REMEDY: Declare the rightful winner or, and this would be the minimal solution, declare the 2020 Election irreparably compromised and have a new Election, immediately!”

Needless to say, everything in that post is a lie. To begin with, it has not come out, conclusively or otherwise, that “the FBI BURIED THE HUNTER BIDEN LAPTOP STORY.” What Trump is referring to is a recent interview of the chairman and CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, by Joe Rogan. Trump, and most of the right-wing echo chamber, has falsely reported that Zuckerberg told Rogan that the FBI had asked or ordered him to suppress any news about Hunter Biden’s stolen laptop.

However, Zuckerberg said nothing at all about that. He actually said only that the FBI had warned him of the possibility that Russian disinformation was likely to be disseminated online prior to the 2020 election, just as it was before the 2016 election. Which is irrefutably true. Zuckerberg said that…

“The background here is that the FBI came to us – some folks on our team – and was like ‘hey, just so you know, you should be on high alert. We thought there was a lot of Russian propaganda in the 2016 election, we have it on notice that basically there’s about to be some kind of dump that’s similar to that.”

Trump and his cult followers manufactured the version of that story that included Hunter’s laptop. And from that blatant distortion of reality, Trump baselessly asserted that he “would have easily won the 2020 Presidential Election” had there been more coverage of his fake Hunter news. He even put that in quotes, although he didn’t cite any source for what he was ostensibly quoting. And like everything else in Trump’s cartoon brain, it represented some horror that was “at a level never seen before.” For the record, Biden won by more than seven million votes and it’s highly unlikely that many Biden voters would have voted for Trump because of some controversy concerning his son.

Nevertheless, this is what Trump regards as “massive FRAUD & ELECTION INTERFERENCE.” And his solution to that fallacy is utterly and hysterically bonkers. Trump impotently demands that someone “declare the rightful winner” (which was Joe Biden) or “declare the 2020 Election irreparably compromised and have a new Election.” Of course, there is no one who has that authority, and there is nothing in the law or the Constitution that would provide for that preposterous “remedy,” even if it were warranted, which is isn’t.

As with almost everything that Trump yammers about these days, this is a pathetic fiction that he’s trying to elevate into a scandal. It isn’t working. And the more he fails, the more desperate and unhinged he becomes. Look for him to start accusing Biden of having stolen his strawberries or of blasting him with Jewish space lasers. It’s just a matter of time.

Lindsey Graham Tells Fox News that ‘There Will Be Riots in the Streets’ if Trump is Prosecuted

The FBI search of Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago bunker three weeks ago has yielded abundant evidence of crimes committed by the twice-impeached, former reality TV game show host. Not only were there at least 184 classified documents, but they were stored haphazardly in a conspicuously insecure location.

Under ordinary circumstance, someone found to have unlawfully taken highly sensitive national security materials, hoarded them at his resort hotel/home, and lied to the FBI about their existence, would be indicted and prosecuted. Especially when his excuses for having done so keep changing and becoming ever more absurd. But there is nothing ordinary about Trump and his glassy-eyed cult followers.

Among the most blindly worshipful Trump disciples is Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina. He is currently trying to dodge a deposition by a Grand Jury in Georgia requiring him to testify about his participation in undermining democracy and overturning the election on Trump’s behalf. And in his spare time he is visiting with Fox News to foment riots…

“If there is a prosecution of Donald Trump for mishandling classified information after the Clinton debacle, which you presided over and did a hell of a good job, there will be riots in the streets.”

Is this a threat? Is a United States senator trying to intimidate the Attorney General and other prosecutors to dissuade them from doing their jobs? Does Lindsey Graham, a former JAG lawyer, think it’s appropriate to not so subtly insinuate that if authorities go forward with legally justifiable indictments of his political ayatollah that a jihad should be ensue?

What Graham is saying is that Trump’s cult supporters are violent and can’t be relied upon to respect the law. He is validating their insurrection on January 6th and predicting that they will engage in similar acts of violence and assaults against police officers and others. And from Graham’s perverse perspective, all that is necessary for them to resort to civil rampaging is for honest prosecutors to establish that there is sufficient evidence that Trump committed crimes. This is what the so-called “law and order” party has sunken to.

Graham made this comment to Trey Gowdy, host of Fox News’ “Sunday Night in America.” Gowdy’s claim to fame is that he chaired the House committee that conducted the bogus Benghazi hearings. Of course, had no objection to Graham’s reprehensible remarks. He tacitly approved, then moved on to another subject.

For his part, Trump posted Graham’s remarks on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social without comment. He didn’t bother to condemn the suggestion of riots or to call for peace. Trump knows that he’s guilty and has no credible defense. So he is essentially affirming the threat and once again encouraging his supporters to “be wild.” Trump previously posted a comment that similarly incited violence, saying that…

“The Raid on my home, Mar-a-Lago, is one of the most egregious assaults on democracy in the history of our Country which is, by the way, going to places, in a very bad way, it has never seen before!”

First of all, there was no discernable “assault on democracy” involved in the FBI’s execution of a legally obtained search warrant. But if Trump wants an example of such an assault, he need only recall the January 6th insurrection that he incited, or his relentless and false assertions of the “Big Lie” that the 2020 election was “rigged” and “stolen” from him.

As for Trump’s threat that the nation is “going to places…it has never seen before,” he is, sadly, quite correct. But not in the way that he thinks. The threatening rhetoric by Trump, and his flunky Lindsey Graham, is emblematic of the direction that the Republican Party has taken since the advent of the Trump Cult. And Fox News is just as culpable for messages fomenting violence.

It is now up to Democrats, and other patriots, to remove these traitors from every position of public responsibility. This coming November will be the first test to see if we are up to the challenge.
