Fox News Attacks Biden for Joining the March to Honor the 58th Anniversary of Bloody Sunday

It must getting awfully difficult for Fox News to manufacture new outrages involving President Biden. Day after day of inventing pseudo-scandals where there isn’t a hint of misconduct or controversary is clearly over-taxing the feeble minded propagandists at Fox News.

Fox News, Joe Biden, Fake News

Following a weekend that featured Donald Trump speaking before the Conference of Political Ass Clowns (CPAC) also posed a challenge for Fox News in trying to surpass the Olympic-grade gormlessness of Trump and his flunkies, including Don Jr, Kari Lake, Lauren Boebert, Matt Gaetz, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and the MyPillow guy, Mike Lindell. And they couldn’t possibly come up with anything more asinine than Trump’s own preposterous proposal to award Pulitzer prizes to Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, and other Fox hacks.

RELATED: Trump Pitches Perverse Proposal to Give Pulitzer Prizes to the Loud Boys (Only) of Fox News

Consequently, the stable geniuses at Fox came up with a story line that smacks of racism and disrespect for the troubled history of civil rights in America. Pretending to cover a march in Selma, Alabama commemorating the 58th anniversary of Bloody Sunday, Fox published a story on their website titled, “Biden urged to ‘choose more worthy allies’ after marching with Sharpton in Selma.”

The article ignored entirely the importance of the event being observed, focusing instead on some pitifully weak criticisms that rested on irrelevant assertions of guilt by association. It began…

“President Biden is being urged to “choose more worthy allies” after marching with the Rev. Al Sharpton in Selma Alabama on Sunday. Biden marked the 58th anniversary of Selma’s “Bloody Sunday,” where activists chanted for voting rights as they crossed the historic Edmund Pettus Bridge.” […]

“Biden shared the stage in Selma with Sharpton, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, the Rev. William Barber II, Rep. Terri Sewell, D-Ala, and Martin Luther King III.”

The remainder of the article found some tenuous fault with Biden for “choosing” to participate in a memorial march with Revs. Sharpton and Jackson, who Fox asserted were anti-Semitic based on remarks made forty years ago.

The first problem with Fox’s framing is that they could not find any evidence of antisemitism by either of the Reverends in this century. And those that occurred decades ago were disavowed and apologized for. The second problem with Fox’s contrivance was that Biden didn’t choose the participants in this event. And surely icons of the civil rights movement like Sharpton and Jackson would be expected to participate.

What Biden was responsible for were his remarks at the event. He gave a stirring speech that promoted the advancement of civil rights and voting rights (full text here, and video below). These were topics that Fox News studiously neglected. Biden said in part…

“I come here in commemoration — not for show — Selma is a reckoning. The right to vote — the right to vote and to have your vote counted is the threshold of democracy and liberty. With it, anything is possible. Without it — without that right, nothing is possible. And this fundamental right remains under assault. The conservative Supreme Court has gutted the Voting Rights Act over the years. Since the 2020 election, a wave of states and dozens — dozens of anti-voting laws fueled by the Big Lie, and the election deniers now elected to office.” […]

“In January, I signed the Electoral Count Reform Act to protect the will of the people and the people transferring the — and the peaceful transfer of power. But we know that we must get the votes in Congress to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the Freedom to Vote Act. I’ve made it clear I will not let a filibuster obstruct the sacred right to vote and the right of any other right that flow from there.”

It wasn’t just Fox News who failed to honor this anniversary. After all, they literally regard equity as evil. However, the leaders of the Republican Party that Fox speaks for were also noticeably absent. That’s because they have no interest in showing respect for this part of the nation’s history. In fact, they even regard the teaching of it – i.e. Critical Race Theory – as an affront to their perverse notion of patriotism, even though they admit that they don’t know it means. And not surprisingly, this racially offensive fish stinks from the head…

Trump Pitches Perverse Proposal to Give Pulitzer Prizes to the Loud Boys (Only) of Fox News

Donald Trump’s speech at the “Conference for the Party of Ass Clowns” (CPAC) on Saturday was everything that a glassy-eyed Trump cult follower could have wanted. He touched on all of his greatest fits from his “Big Lie” that the 2024 election was “stollen” (his spelling) from him, to the unfinished vanity wall on the southern border, to the wind turbine bird holocaust.

Donald Trump Fox News

Along with his standard lies, self-exaltation, and infantile insults, Trump reiterated his nightmarish narrative of a dystopian future marked by world war, rampant crime and drug addiction, communist oppression, and invasions by “thugs, Marxist radicals, and dangerous refugees,” from “shithole” countries. It was reminiscent of his brutally bleak 2016 “American Carnage” inaugural address, and his more recent apocalyptic announcement for the 2024 GOP nomination for president. It was everything that Trump promised it would be in his preview prior to Saturday…

SEE THIS: Trump Teases His Uplifting CPAC Speech Celebrating ‘The Fact That Our Country is Going to HELL’

Among the most malodorous moments of his malevolent monologue was the part where he whined about the Pulitzer prizes awarded to the Washington Post and the New York Times for their accurate reporting on his unsavory associations with Russia. Trump raged that…

“We’re trying to get the Pulitzer Prize taken away. They got Pulitzer prizes. We’re suing. You know what the prize says? ‘For its concise and accurate reporting on the Russia, Russia, Russia event…’ And they have it actually totally wrong.

“Actually, Mark Levin should get a prize. And Gregg Jarrett should get a prize. And even it’s not his deal, Sean Hannity should get a prize. And frankly Jesse should get a prize. And you know who should get a prize? Tucker should get a prize.”

Trump has been yammering about this for almost a year. However, in December he did indeed file an utterly impotent and frivolous lawsuit against the Pulitzer board demanding that they revoke the awards they gave to WaPo and the Times. The Board responded with a statement that said essentially, “No friggin’ way!” They noted that they had conducted an independent review after receiving Trump’s complaint and that the review found that “no passages or headlines, contentions or assertions in any of the winning submissions were discredited by facts that emerged subsequent to the conferral of the prizes.”

RELATED: Trump Sues the Pulitzer Prize Board for Honoring Accurate Stories of His Russian Collusion

As if Trump’s comical commandment for revocation of the awards wasn’t sufficiently humiliating, his nominees for who should get the awards instead included Fox News hosts Sean Hannity, Jesse Watters, Tucker Carlson, Mark Levin, and Gregg Jarrett. Never mind that these hacks were just exposed as flagrant liars and promulgators of pure propaganda. Their rancid partisanship, ethical vacancy, and rank dishonesty was revealed in their own words in documents produced in the billion dollar defamation lawsuit against Fox News by Dominion Voting Systems.

SEE THIS: In Dominion v Fox News, Network Cries ‘We Can’t Make People Think We’ve Turned Against Trump’

Also notable in Trump’s praise of his Fox News fluffers was that it included only the alleged men on the network. Apparently Trump doesn’t think that Laura Ingraham, Maria Bartiromo, or Jeanine Pirro, are deserving of Pulitzer prizes, despite their equally sycophantic subservience to Trump. That’s not especially noteworthy considering his long history of misogyny and abusive treatment of women.

Fortunately, Trump’s puerile perspective will not travel far. CPAC is suffering from “Trump Fatigue Syndrome.” Attendance is way down, and many conference regulars of the past are skipping the affair this year. Those that showed up are especially fringy and unabashedly Trumpian (i.e. Donald Trump Jr, Lauren Boebert, Matt Gaetz, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Ronny Jackson, Jim Jordan, and the MyPillow Guy, Mike Lindell).

Trump’s Raging Fear is on Vivid Display as He Hurls Infantile Insults at New York Prosecutor

The surest sign that Donald Trump is being kept awake nights with agonizing anxiety over his precarious prosecutorial problems are the late night comments he posts on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social. And on Friday he was raging until after midnight about what a pathetic victim he is of the “Radical Left Democrats” that he also regards as incompetent.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump Circling the Drain

The demonstrative fear that Trump exudes is evident in how his plaintive whining becomes increasingly frenzied and steeped in childish cheap shots. He throws tantrums aimed at his perceived persecutors that he seems to think will cause them to scurry off and leave him alone. How he comes to that conclusion is a mystery. But it is clearly driven by his malignant narcissism and it is nothing new.

RELATED: Poor Trump is Oozing Fear Over the Looming Legal Consequences of His Treasonous Crimes

Friday’s fury was likely triggered by the news that Manhattan District Attorney, Alvin Bragg, has been interviewing Trump insiders such as his former lawyer, Michael Cohen, and his White House Counselor, Kellyanne Conway.

Trumps knows what they know and is obviously concerned that the D.A. will soon know it too. Consequently, he lashed out frantically online in a flurry of late night tirades, beginning with some particularly personal attacks…

“The Racist Manhattan District Attorney, Alvin Bragg, who is presiding over one of the most dangerous and violent cities in the U.S., and doing NOTHING about it, is being pushed relentlessly by the Radical Left Democrats, the Fake News Media, and the Department of ‘Injustice,’ to bring charges against me for the now ancient ‘no affair’ story of Stormy ‘Horseface’ Danials, where there is no crime and charges have NEVER been brought on such a case before. In the meantime, Hunter & Joe Biden skate!”

There’s a lot to unpack in that barrage of bullshittery. First of all, Trump routinely accuses black prosecutors like Bragg of being racist. He has done it repeatedly when complaining about New York Attorney General Leticia James. Although his harangues have only succeeded in getting him and his lawyers sanctioned for millions of dollars for filing frivolous claims.

SEE THIS: Trump Drops Lawsuit Against NY Attorney General to Avoid More Sanctions for Frivolous Filings

Trump also likes to deflect from his own legal peril by accusing prosecutors of trying to “get Trump” instead of addressing other violent crimes. Setting aside that that’s a terrible reason to let him off the hook, Trump is apparently unaware that the D.A.’s office is staffed by hundreds of lawyers who are fully engaged in public safety matters.

Trump’s downplaying of the case against him is a lame attempt to slither out of accountability. The case is neither “ancient” – it involves hush money payments made in 2015 – nor about an “affair.” Trump’s interaction with Stormy Daniels was a one-time sex-for-hire arrangement. However, the charges Trump is facing are related to his payment of $130,000.00 to buy her silence as he was preparing to run for president.

What’s more, Trump’s impotent insult of Daniels suggests that he paid thousands of dollars for sex to a woman he regards as having a “horseface.” Is that some sort of obscure fetish he has? Is he revealing his latent bestiality?

However, Trump was just getting started. His late night rampage continued with a post accusing Bragg of being backed by George Soros, because that’s the goto criticism of every MAGA defendant. He then segued to attacking Cohen again, and reprising his complaint that Bragg is ignoring New York crime.

And if that wasn’t enough, Trump was still awake an hour later, posting another comment whining that the D.A. was “threatening and harassing many people that work for me.” Also known as deposing witnesses. Then he closed by calling the Grand Jury the “modern day Gestapo,” that is practicing a “Soviet style of ‘Justice’ [that] is going to take down the U.S.A.”

Of course, the only thing that this prosecution has the capability of bringing down is Trump and his crime syndicate. And he’s well aware of that. It’s why he’s so frightened that he’s unable to sleep. And it’s why he reached out in desperation to his former White House flunky, Kellyanne Conway in the last of his comments.

Trump congratulated Conway on her divorce from her husband George, because Trump regards failed marriages as occasions to celebrate. Mr. Conway is frequent Trump critic, and Trump’s insufferable pettiness produced his complaint that he is a “wacko” and an “extremely unattractive loser.” Which is another example of Trump accusing others of what he knows himself to be.

Matt Gaetz Drools Over Defunding Law Enforcement ‘If They Do Not Come to Heel’ to the Trump GOP

For a political party that has spent years chastising Democrats for advocating a policy of reallocating funds for law enforcement – sloganized by the GOP as “defunding the police” – Republicans sure have embraced that policy with open arms. And not to address the epidemic of citizens getting shot by cops, but to escape justice for crimes committed by Trump and other Republicans.

Matt Gaetz, Prison

At this year’s gathering of of the Conservative Political Action Cult (CPAC), the roster of fringy, QAnon extremists are excitedly espousing their hostilities at President Biden and all things Democratic. While the crowd is enthusiastic, it is also noticeably thin, with many empty seats, as attendance has sharply declined. That, even though the it’s keynote speaker is once again Donald Trump, who enticed prospective attendees with his dystopian choice of topics:

SEE THIS: Trump Teases His Uplifting CPAC Speech Celebrating ‘The Fact That Our Country is Going to HELL’

While awaiting the headliner on Saturday, the conference crowd was “entertained” by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Perv). And he surely didn’t disappoint this screwball assembly. Gaetz thrilled his audience with the sort of rancid rhetoric that has made him a popular draw among the wingnut set. He began by affirming his opposition to law and order…

“We either get this government back on our side, or we defund and get rid of, abolish, the FBI, CDC, ATF, DOJ, every last one of them if they do not come to heel.”

That’s right. Gaetz wants to abolish every federal agency charge with fighting crime and keeping Americans safe from lowlifes like – well, like Matt Gaetz.

Notice also that Gaetz isn’t issuing his ultimatum in pursuit of fair justice and the rule of law. He is demanding that America’s legal system favor the radical right by getting “government back on our side,” and forcing them to “come to heel” to a right-wing autocracy. And if you think that’s bad, he was just getting started. Gaetz went on to rant that…

“It is no longer time to go back to the old low-energy Paul Ryan, Trey Gowdy days of fake oversight, these are the Jim Jordan, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz days.”

Holy Crap! That’s downright frightening. Gaetz just name-dropped the three most repulsive, Trump-worshipping members of the GOP Congress. Then he followed that up with an overtly anti-democratic threat…

“And if the Democrats are going to obstruct our investigation, then I am calling to remove the Democrats from our investigation. They should not be allowed to sit in the depositions and hear the evidence, that they are going to try to use that to get in the way of thorough, rigorous oversight. And I don’t believe that means hearings where we yell at people. That means a fundamental reshaping of this government.”

In other words, Gaetz – who frequently yells at people at hearings – is proposing a straight up fascist reshaping of America where only his side has any legislative power to conduct oversight or to draft laws. This is consistent with his colleague, Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has proposed the same sort of political tyranny…

SEE THIS: Marjorie Taylor Greene Floats Fascist Proposal for Red States to Prohibit Democrats From Voting

To be accurate, the only thing that Gaetz is worried about with regard to “get[ting] in the way of thorough, rigorous oversight,” is the prospect of Trump and other Republicans being held accountable for their criminal misconduct. He wants to make sure that he and his ilk are free to violate any laws they want with impunity. While simultaneously ensuring that Democrats are persecuted over phony allegations.

What’s worse, is that Gaetz has the support of the Republican “leadership” in the House. Newly anointed House Squeaker, Kevin McCarthy, has become the willing puppet of Gaetz, Greene, and the rest of the QAnon Caucus. He needs their votes to remain in the Speaker’s chair. Which is why he approves of the ultra-MAGA dogma. And it’s why he embraces the totalitarian, one-partyism of dictators.

Trump Teases His Uplifting CPAC Speech Celebrating ‘The Fact That Our Country is Going to HELL’

It’s that time of year again. The annual Conservative Political Action Cult (CPAC) is holding their right-wing revival meeting at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Make up your own jokes about the party of homophobes gathering at the “Gaylord.”

Donald Trump Rally, Sieg Heil

Naturally, Donald Trump will once again be their keynote speaker because who else better represents the pitiful paucity of CPAC principles than the twice-impeached, pathologically lying, septuagenarian toddler, and former reality TV game show host, Donald Joyful Trump?

Trump promoted his CPAC performance in a post on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, saying that…

“I will be at CPAC on Saturday, talking about the fact that, obviously, our Country is going to ‘HELL,’ and how to fix it. Also, the Democrats use of Radical Left Prosecutors and the WEAPONIZATION OF LAW ENFORCEMENT.”

What an inspiring theme around which to shape the message of his candidacy for the 2024 Republican Party nomination for president. It’s reminiscent of his brutally bleak 2016 “American Carnage” inaugural address. It also builds on the ideas he presented in his 2024 announcement speech last November that was so well received by anti-American doomsayers everywhere:

SEE THIS: Trump’s Dreary Campaign Announcement Speech Drew Dismal TV Ratings

That announcement rant by Trump was typically riddled with lies, self-exaltation, and infantile insults. And despite the massive dose of melodrama, it was painfully dull. Trump was at his dystopian worst, warning of an America that is plagued by “blood-soaked streets” in “cesspool cities.” And now it is going to hell, a warning he has issued many times before.

As for CPAC, it is said to be suffering from Trump Fatigue Syndrome. Many conference regulars of the past are skipping the affair this year. And those that are attending are especially fringy and unabashedly Trumpian. Which leaves the event calendar looking pretty dull…

GOOD LUCK: Democratic Leaders Call On Rupert Murdoch to Stop Fox News From Spreading Lies

This week America learned that Fox News executives and hosts knowingly deceived their viewers about election fraud in support of Donald Trump and his “Big Lie” that the 2020 presidential election was “rigged and stolen” from him. The revelations came with the release of depositions from the defamation lawsuit filed by Dominion Voting Systems against Fox News.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump, Rupert Murdoch

The testimony in those depositions affirmed that Fox News CEO Rupert Murdoch, as well as hosts Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham, etc., knew very well that there was no truth to their “reporting” of fraud in the 2020 presidential election. While they were lying to their viewers, they were discussing privately among themselves about the “crazy” and “idiotic” assertions that Trump had actually won.

RELATED: Hannity Admits in Fox News Lawsuit that ‘I Did Not Believe [Trump’s Big Lie] for One Second’

Most rational media observers already knew that Fox News has never been a news network. They were created as a right-wing propaganda organ by Murdoch and Roger Ailes. However, this may be the first time that we have principles at Fox admitting that they are lying propagandists, and we have it in their own words. Not surprisingly, Trump is very upset by these developments…

UH-OH: Trump Blasts Rupert Murdoch for ‘Throwing His Anchors Under the Table’ in Election Fraud Lawsuit

In the wake of these scandalous disclosures, Democratic leaders in Congress are going on record with their objections to the confirmation of Fox’s purposeful dishonesty. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries made their positions clear in a letter to Murdoch, demanding that the network “stop spreading false election narratives and admit on the air that they were wrong to engage in such negligent behavior.” The letter pressed Murdoch saying that

“As noted in your deposition released yesterday Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, and other Fox News personalities knowingly, repeatedly, and dangerously endorsed and promoted the Big Lie that Donald Trump won the 2020 presidential election [and that] network hosts continue to promote, spew, and perpetuate election conspiracy theories to this day.”

The letter noted that Fox’s hosts continue “to peddle election denialism to the American people.” This is the sort of pernicious pulp fiction employed by Trump that incited the January 6th insurrection in Washington, D.C., as well as numerous other subsequent acts domestic terrorism by the radical right. Schumer and Jeffries recognized the impending threat saying that…

“This sets a dangerous precedent that ignores basic journalistic fact-checking principles and public accountability. This is even more alarming after Speaker McCarthy is reportedly allowing Tucker Carlson to review highly sensitive security camera footage of the events surrounding the violent January 6 insurrection.

“We demand that you direct Tucker Carlson and other hosts on your network to stop spreading false election narratives and admit on the air that they were wrong to engage in such negligent behavior.”

The letter goes on to warn that the dishonesty of Fox News “weakens faith in our democracy and hurts our country in countless other ways.” And it closes by insisting that Murdoch take action to repair the damage he and his network have caused…

“Fox News executives and all other hosts on your network have a clear choice. You can continue a pattern of lying to your viewers and risking democracy or move beyond this damaging chapter in your company’s history by siding with the truth and reporting the facts. We ask that you make sure Fox News ceases disseminating the Big Lie and other election conspiracy theories on your network.”

Schumer and Jeffries are saying all the right things. Unfortunately, it would be naïve to expect Murdoch, or anyone else at Fox News, to cooperate or to concede wrongdoing. They have established that they are more interested in disseminating conservative propaganda and profiting off of deceiving their audience, than in telling the truth or acting in the best interests of the country. That would require some sense of ethics. Plus, they are terrified of Donald Trump and his glassy-eyed cult followers.

In fact, they are so frightened that that they have forbidden the matter of the Dominion lawsuit to even be mentioned on the air. Which is just another way that they can keep their viewers ignorant and riled up by phony trivialities.

RAGING HYPOCRITE Marjorie Taylor Greene Whines About Respecting Others With Different Views

In the Era of Donald Trump, the notion of civility has been thrown into the same garbage heap as hospitality, humility, and honesty. And the loss of those qualities is almost entirely due to Republicans modeling themselves after the cretinous example of Trump himself.

Click here to Tweet this article

Marjorie Taylor Greene, QAnon

Trump distinguished himself early in his 2016 campaign as barbarian whose behavior heralded back to a savage age when beasts like him could grab women in a manner that was assaultive and crude. Then he carried that demeanor into the White House with daily outbursts against his political foes that were insulting and hostile. So it’s no surprise that the GOPeons following in his footsteps reflect his vulgarity.

RELATED: Trump Post Urges His Cult Followers to Take Up Arms and ‘Physically Fight’ for the Presidency

On Tuesday one of the Republican Party’s most prominent Trump-fluffers demonstrated how well she has learned the lessons of Trumpism. Marjorie Taylor Greene tweeted about an incident she said occurred while dining out out with her staff…

“I was attacked in a restaurant tonight by an insane women and screamed at by her adult son. They had no respect for the restaurant or the staff or the other people dining or people like me who simply have different political views. They are self righteous, insane, and completely out of control. I was sitting at my table, working with my staff, and never even noticed these people until they turned into demons. People used to respect others even if they had different views. But not anymore. Our country is gone.”

Can she possibly be serious? Of course, considering the source, it’s possible that none of this ever happened. In the event that it did, it must be noted that this livid lament is coming from the “insane woman” who is notorious for screaming insults at President Biden during the State of the Union Address. And as seen in the video above, she also once harassed David Hogg, a teenage school shooting survivor, on the street.

So Greene actually has the nerve to whine about respecting others with different views? She recently declared here support for what amounts to civil war and the dissolution of the United States. “We need a national divorce,” Greene tweeted. “We need to separate by red states and blue states and shrink the federal government.” she continued saying that…

“Everyone I talk to says this. From the sick and disgusting woke culture issues shoved down our throats to the Democrat’s traitorous America Last policies, we are done.”

You have to wonder what a narrowly defined confederacy of dunces she talks to. And this isn’t even the worst of her raving madness. Greene also recently floated her unabashedly fascist idea to prohibit Democrats from voting. No, really…

SEE THIS: Marjorie Taylor Greene Floats Fascist Proposal for Red States to Prohibit Democrats From Voting

This is the woman who is now complaining about “self righteous, insane, and completely out of control” people not having respect for the political views of others? With a record of such grotesque behavior, Greene ought to keep her filthy mouth shut. But that’s way too much ask. Sadly, this spasm of obscenity is all too typical of Greene.

Trump Blasts Rupert Murdoch for ‘Throwing His Anchors Under the Table’ in Election Fraud Lawsuit

Donald Trump was up very early on Tuesday morning to cry petulantly about how his former Ministry of Propaganda – aka Fox News – was not living up to his egomaniacal expectations of unflinchingly worshipful adoration. It’s a complaint that Trump unleashes whenever anyone fails to recognize his perceived messianic divinity.

Click here to Tweet this article

Rupert Murdoch Donald Trump

The bug up Trump’s butt on this occasion was that new details of the deposition given by Fox News boss, Rupert Murdoch, in the defamation lawsuit filed by Dominion Voting Systems, were made public. And those details affirmed that Murdoch and the hosts of his Fox News network knew very well that they were lying when they told viewers that there was fraud in the 2020 presidential election.

RELATED: In Dominion v Fox News, Network Cries ‘We Can’t Make People Think We’ve Turned Against Trump’

Of course, Trump cannot restrain himself whenever the facts that his “Big Lie” that the election was “rigged and stolen” from him are exposed. Particularly if those facts are delivered by people that he thinks should be compulsorily beholden to him. Which, in his cartoon brain, is everybody. Consequently he posted on his floundering Twitter clone, Truth Social

“Why is Rupert Murdoch throwing his anchors under the table, which also happens to be killing his case and infuriating his viewers, who will again be leaving in droves – they already are. There is MASSIVE evidence of voter fraud & irregularities in the 2020 Presidential Election. Just look at the documentary ‘2000 MULES’ and you will see large scale ballot stuffing caught on government cameras, or votes cast without Legislatures approval, or just recently, the FBI/Twitter Files Scandal. RIGGED!!!”

There is an abundance of derp in that rant. Beginning with Trump’s mangling of the idiom about being “thrown under the bus.” Being under a table is something else entirely.

More to the point, Trump is aghast that Murdoch would say things during a deposition, under oath, that reflect badly on Fox News, and more importantly, on Trump. Trump takes any suggestion that the 2020 election was legitimate as a personal attack. However, Murdoch had no choice but to tell the truth, or be liable for perjury.

The result was a trove of testimony that does indeed strengthen Dominions case. Such as conceding that Fox News hosts (Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham, Maria Bartiromo, Lou Dobbs, etc.) “endorsed” the false claim that the 2020 election was stolen. And allowing Trump lawyers Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell on air to lie about Dominion.

Literally everything else in Trump’s post was untrue. There was no “MASSIVE evidence of voter fraud.” If there were he would have presented it by now. The “2000 MULES” crocumentary has been totally debunked. And the “Twitter Files” were a pathetically contrived nothingburger.

SEE: Tucker Carlson Hysterically Hypes Bogus Election ‘Fraud’ Film By Convicted Election Fraudster
AND: The Sham ‘Twitter Files’ Exposé Actually Proves that Trump’s Coup Plot was Appropriately Muted

However, Trump was just getting started. He posted a second comment on this subject a few minutes later that repeated the same false allegations of election fraud, and continued his chastising of Murdoch and Fox News, saying that…

“They look too scared and frightened to reveal the massive amounts of voter fraud & Irregularities already found, and it would actually help them in the lawsuit. Instead FoxNews wants to silence its anchors and reporters.”

Trump is actually right, but not about what he thinks he’s right about. Fox News may not have wanted to silence its anchors when they were lying about election fraud, but they do want to silence them now…

SEE THIS: BANNED ON FOX NEWS: The Network Prohibits Any Reporting on the $1.6 Billion Dominion Lawsuit

Trump’s morning caterwauling isn’t going to win him any converts. It is just more of the tedious yammering he’s been putting out since he was evicted from the White House two years ago. In all that time he has failed to produce the “massive amounts of voter fraud” he claims to have found. And he lost 60 court cases in his futile effort to overturn the election and undermine democracy. But he obviously intends to continue down this pitiful path, oblivious to the fact that it’s only going to hurt himself and the Republican Party that kowtows to him.

UPDATE: Trump posted (and deleted) another attack on Murdoch, saying that if he doesn’t believe that the 2020 election was “was not Rigged & Stollen” (sic) he should “get out of the News Business as soon as possible, because they are aiding & abetting the DESTRUCTION OF AMERICA with FAKE NEWS.” When was Fox in the news business? Trump goes on to praise the “BRAVE & PATRIOTIC FoxNews Hosts [who] got it right.” However, those hosts were just revealed to have known that Trump’s election fraud claims were false and that they lied to their viewers. So yeah, they got it right privately, and lied about it in public.

BANNED ON FOX NEWS: The Network Prohibits Any Reporting on the $1.6 Billion Dominion Lawsuit

A few years ago Fox News dropped their long-time slogan that falsely declared that they were “Fair & Balanced.” Having been founded by an ultra-rightist newspaper baron (Rupert Murdoch) and a Republican media consultant (Roger Ailes), it was never true. It only served to imply that every other news source was unfair and imbalanced.

Fox News, Censorship

That’s the modus operandi of a cult, wherein members are admonished that the cult is the only source of truth and that everyone else is lying. Fox News replaced their slogan with “Real News, Real Honest Opinion.” Which was equally false. And the extent of their brazen and deliberate dishonesty was recently revealed in a motion filed by Dominion Voting systems as part of their $1.6 defamation lawsuit against Fox. The motion cited numerous instances of Fox News hosts and executives saying in private that they didn’t believe the election fraud lies that they were reporting on air as facts.

The revelations in the Dominion motion were widely reported by virtually every news outlet. Except, of course, for Fox “News”. And on Sunday it was revealed why. Howard Kurtz, the network’s alleged media analyst, confessed on his program that his bosses had forbidden him to discuss the matter…

“Some of you have been asking why I’m not covering the Dominion Voting Machines lawsuit against Fox involving the unproven claims of election fraud in 2020, and it’s absolutely a fair question. I believe I should be covering it. It’s a major media story, given my role here at Fox. But the company has decided that as part of the organization being sued, I can’t talk about it or write about it, at least for now. I strongly disagree with that decision, but as an employee, I have to abide by it. And if that changes, I’ll let you know.”

It is not uncommon, when a company is the subject of a lawsuit, for it to order its employees to refrain from making any public statement about the case, for fear of them disclosing something detrimental. However, when it is a media company it poses a unique dilemma, because they have a professional and ethical obligation to report the news. In this case, Kurtz could easily have reported on the existence of the lawsuit without prejudicing it in any way. And his statement affirms that it is “a major media story,” and that his audience is interested in it.

Nevertheless, Fox News has imposed a total ban on reporting anything about the case. Clearly they are censoring themselves to avoid the embarrassment of having their viewers learn the truth about their purposeful lying. Fox surely doesn’t want them to know that their most popular hosts, such as Laura Ingraham, Tucker Carlson, and Sean Hannity, discussed among themselves that Trump’s “Big Lie” about the 2020 presidential election being “rigged and stolen” from him, was a wholly fabricated fiction.

Since Fox News banned Kurtz from reporting on the Dominion case, it’s fair to assume that they imposed the same blackout on the rest of their hosts, contributors, and guests. That muzzling of their own “reporters” is, in itself, news. However, Kurtz is wrong when he says that “as an employee, I have to abide by it.” Actually, he has several other options.

First of all, he could ignore this infringement on free speech and report on the case anyway. Secondly, he could argue with his superiors and organize his peers to get the restraint lifted. Thirdly, he could resign in protest and retain some measure of integrity. He could also offer to anonymously tell what he knows to other media, or even to the Dominion lawyers.

All of those options, however, would require that Kurtz have some dignity and respect for journalistic ethics. So it’s no wonder why he chose to simply obey his bosses and shut his mouth. Suppressing real news that Fox finds uncomfortable is their standard operating procedure. It’s why they didn’t air live a single minute of the hearings by the House Select Committee on the January 6th Insurrection that Trump incited, despite the high ratings the hearings received on MSNBC and CNN.

Finally, in addition to gagging Kurtz, Fox also refused to air an ad by MoveOn that featured the words of their own hosts and executives. So Fox is not only rejecting journalistic ethics, they are even refusing revenue for advertising. And if they are turning down cold, hard, cash, you know they are scared witless.

HAHAHA: RNC Chair Thinks Trump Would Honor a Pledge to Support the GOP Nominee if it Isn’t Him

There is a unique peculiarity of the Republican Party that permits it members, and even its leaders, to willfully accept the most manifestly absurd contrivances coming from within their political ecosphere. They want so desperately to believe their own hype that they swallow whole whatever has been pre-chewed for them.

Donald Trump

It is that characteristic that explains how Republicans can buy into the nonsense pouring out daily from Donald Trump about everything from his “Big Lie” that the 2020 election was “rigged and stolen” from, to his own alleged mental competency…

RELATED: LOL: Trump Says All Presidential Candidates (Except Himself) Should Take Mental Competency Tests

On Sunday morning the chair of the Republican National Committee provided an outstanding example of her party’s crippling gullibility. During an interview on CNN, Ronna McDaniel was asked by Dana Bash about the upcoming Republican primaries for the 2024 presidential nomination. Her response was painfully naïve and resolutely distanced from reality…

Bash: Will candidates be required to sign a pledge saying that they will support whoever becomes the Republican nominee in order to get on that debate stage?
McDaniel: We haven’t put the criteria out, but I expect the pledge will be part of it. It was part of 2016. I think it’s kind of a no-brainer. If you’re gonna be on the Republican National Committee debate stage asking voters to support you, you should say “I’m gonna support the voters and who they choose as the nominee.”
Bash: I want you to listen to what former president Donald Trump said a couple of weeks ago with conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt on this very topic:
Hewitt: If you’re not the nominee, will you support whoever the GOP nominee is?
Trump: It would depend. I would give you the same answer I gave in 2016… It would have to depend on who the nominee was.
Bash: So are you prepared to block the former president if he doesn’t sign?
McDaniel: Well, he signed it in 2016. He did. Everybody signed it in 2016. […]
Bash: But this is about the here and the now.
McDaniel: I think they’re all going to sign it. I really do. […]
Bash: You can’t see a scenario where Donald Trump would just skip the debate?
McDaniel: I think President Trump would like to be on the debate stage. That’s what he likes to do.

McDaniel is right that Trump signed a party loyalty pledge in 2016. It required GOP candidates to promise to “endorse the 2016 Republican presidential nominee, regardless of who it is [and] will not seek to run as an independent.”

However, what McDaniel appears to have forgotten – or wiped from her memory – is that Trump never intended to honor the pledge he reluctantly signed. While Trump did sign a similar pledge during the 2016 Republican primary, he quickly reversed himself and made repeated threats to violate the pledge, each time accusing the RNC of sabotaging his campaign.

A paranoid and fearful Trump whined that the RNC “conspired to embarrass him by packing the debate audience with lobbyists and donors to his rivals’ campaigns.” And when asked by George Stephanopoulos if he would keep his promise to back whichever Republican prevailed, Trump replied “I’m going to have to see what happens. I will see what happens. I have to be treated fairly.”

So Trump said in 2016 that he wouldn’t honor the pledge that he signed. And a couple of weeks ago he told Hewitt that the same thing would apply to 2024, for which he has not yet signed any pledge. But McDaniel still believes that Trump will sign and keep the pledge so that he can participate in the debates because “That’s what he likes to do.”

Trump also likes to break pledges and rub his critic’s faces in it. What’s more, what would stop him from signing the pledge, participating in the debates, and then if someone else gets the nomination, simply reneging and going his own way? He would just accuse the RNC of being unfair to him and, therefore, it was the RNC who broke the pledge. That is precisely the substance of the threats he used to back out his 2016 pledge.

The truth is that the Republican Party – just like Fox News and the conservative media – fears Trump more than they love their party or their country. They will allow him to get away with any lies or abuse that he inflicts on them in order to keep his glassy-eyed cult followers in line. The GOP needs their votes and their cash. And they will abandon any principle in order to secure them.

The only thing they fear more are fair debates with Democrats. which is why McDaniel has already announced that Republican presidential candidates will not be permitted to appear in any debates sponsored by the non-partisan Commission on Presidential Debates. They know that Trump in particular cannot compete intellectually with his Democratic opponents.
