Lying Bigot Mike Johnson Says Iranians Can’t Be Trusted Because Lying is ‘Part of Their Religion’

The Republican Party has long been the home of racists and hate mongers who openly advocate discrimination and white supremacy. They welcome organizations like the Ku Klux Klan into their political family and unabashedly campaign for their votes.

Donald Trump and Mike Johnson

Much of the official Republican agenda is based on policies that profess intolerance for minorities. Lately they have been fixated on eliminating programs that enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in employment, education, housing, etc. And naturally, Donald Trump is the leader of this hateful movement.

SEE THIS: Trump Reveals that He is a Bipartisan Racist in a Pair of Disgusting Truth Social Posts

Faithfully following Trump’s lead is his flunky in the House of Representatives, GOP Squeaker MAGA Mike Johnson. On Tuesday morning Johnson held a press briefing where he affirmed his putrid prejudices. He was asked about the war in Iran that Trump has been losing for six months and still has no plan for getting out. Johnson said that…

“The problem is – and the reason we’ve been frustrated is – the Iranians cannot be trusted. They’ll sit at the negotiation table and say something, then walk away and do the opposite. For some of them it’s apparently part of their religion that they can just lie to someone they disagree with.”

It’s rather impressive how much repulsiveness Johnson can squeeze into such a short comment. Most notable is the flaming bigotry of his assertion that it is part of Iranians’ religion to lie. It’s an especially disgusting remark considering that Johnson himself professes to be a devout Christian, while also being a pathological liar.

The pathological lying is a trait that Johnson shares with Trump. Which makes Johnson’s accusation that Iran can’t be trusted all the more preposterous. It was Trump who tore up an agreement between the United States and Iran that had successfully prohibited any efforts by Iran to acquire nuclear weapons. And that deal, made by President Obama, was accomplished without going to war, killing thousands of people, spending billions of dollars, and wrecking the economy of the U.S., and the world.

By breaking that deal Trump not only released Iran from their promise not to seek nuclear weapons, but he also did severe damage to the reputation of the U.S. for trustworthiness. Both of those results make the world a more dangerous place. Not that Trump cares. It has likely made him richer.

For his part, Johnson is acting out his role as a Trump disciple who has surrendered the constitutional authority of the House of Representatives to the aspiring authoritarian occupying the White House. He’s more than happy to see American democracy crumble during his tenure as Speaker. So if anyone cannot be trusted, it’s Mike Johnson. and the sooner that he is removed from power the better. And the same goes for Trump.

Trump Blasts the Republican Party, Whining ‘They Don’t Fully Grasp How Badly They Are F*ing Up’

The Ego That Ate D.C., Donald Trump, is on the hunt again for prey that it can devour to sustain its Reign of Terror. It has an insatiable appetite that threatens to drive its potential victims into extinction. Which, in the big picture, would be a desirable outcome.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump, Republican, GOP

Trump is suffering the lowest approval ratings of either of his occupations of the White House. Consequently, he is determined to shift any blame for that away from himself and onto the unfortunate MAGA parasites who depend on him for their political survival.

SEE THIS: Delusional Trump Whines that Americans are ‘Angry at Republicans, But They’re Not Angry At Me’

On Wednesday morning Trump took his presidential post on his pitiful Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, to deflect his failures onto the Republican Party that he supposedly leads. He reposted a comment that complained that “I don’t think the GOP fully grasp how badly they are f*cking up right now.” There’s actually some truth to that, although not in the way it was meant. The post continued with a list of examples of what Trump believes are missteps by GOP that are responsible for his abysmal polling. They include…

  • No true accountability.
  • No meaningful decrease in the deficit.
  • Lots of very long vacations and no work.
  • No bills being passed that REDUCE the government involvement in their lives.
  • Where are all the DOGE cuts that were promised?
  • Where is the SAVE ACT?

It’s true that Republicans have failed to fulfill the disingenuous promises that Trump made during his campaign. But the fault is as much with Trump as it is with the Republicans in Congress.

More importantly, the post left out the two issues that the majority of voters – including the MAGA-tists – are most upset about: Trump’s reckless and illegal war against Iran, and the war and tariff driven inflation that is burdening Americans with higher costs for groceries, gas, healthcare, housing, and more.

The comment that Trump reposted does express the dissatisfaction that Trump’s MAGA cult are feeling. But it mistakenly assumes that the GOP, and by extension Trump, doesn’t “fully grasp how badly they are f*cking up.” Of course they do. And Trump grasps it too. Which is why he’s shoveling the blame onto his party mates to absolve himself.

The real problem is that none of them have the slightest idea how to fix any of it. So the blame will be flying around in every direction between now and the November election. They have already tried blaming Presidents Biden and Obama, but that hasn’t stuck given that they have been out of office for years.

So it’s good to see that Trump is now conceding – at least for the time being – that it is his own party that is F*ing up. And some members of the GOP are reciprocating by refusing to campaign with Trump in the lead up to the midterm elections, because they know that any association with him would hurt their electoral prospects.

In November we will likely see Democrats win majorities in the House of Representatives, and possibly in the Senate as well. And in January the change in Congress will make Trump the lamest of ducks, and the subject of long-delayed oversight hearings and accountability. So if you think he’s whining now, you aint seen nothin’ yet.

Trump Begs His MAGA Cult to ‘Pretend That I’m on the Ballot’ – And Democrats Concur

It’s always obvious when Donald Trump is having a panic attack about matters that are beyond the control of his narcissistic malignancy. He typically lashes out frantically at his perceived political enemies, hurls infantile insults at the free press that he abhors, and beseeches his MAGA cult disciples to worship him harder.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump, Mocking Disability

With the rapidly approaching midterm election bearing down on Trump and his MAGA confederates, he recognizes, but will never admit, that the prospects for a Republican victory are dim. Consequently, he is trying on new campaign themes almost every day. They range from rehashing the “red scare” of the 1950s, wherein he accuses all Democrats of being communists, to outright lying about how successfully he has restored the economy that he wrecked with tariffs and war and general ignorance.

SEE THIS: New Trump Campaign Slogan: The Economy is Doing Unbelievably From the Standpoint of Wall Street

On Friday Trump attended a rally in South Carolina in support of GOP Senate candidate Darline Graham, who he has endorsed. As usual, he spent most of his 90 minute harangue exalting himself. But in a surprising departure from his common conceit and ego-fluffing, Trump put his electoral anxiety on display. For instance, he implored his MAGA-tists to demonstrate their adoration by showing up to vote in November. Openly begging, Trump explained that…

“The problem that we have is, they say that Trump does great when he’s on the ballot, but when he’s not on the ballot, his people don’t come and they don’t vote for senators, congressmen and other Republicans. So what I really want you to do is pretend, please, that I’m on the ballot.”

This request was likely fueled by the fact that, in recent Republican primaries, six of Trump’s endorsed candidates lost. Even Graham, the candidate he was there to promote, failed to get enough votes to avoid a runoff. Therefore, he is resorting to pleading for his peons to “pretend” that he’s on the ballot. Which is an admission that the Republicans he is pushing are too lame to get votes on their own.

Of course, it’s Trump’s widespread unpopularity that is likely the main reason for the GOP’s recent defeats. So if Republican candidates choose to tie themselves closer to Trump, it will probably do them more harm than good. Democrats, meanwhile, will eagerly welcome Republicans embracing their lame duck leader, who will lead them to more failures. And that’s not the only reason Democrats are supporting Trump’s recent remarks. He also told the rally crowd that…

“If we lose you’re going to lose your border, you’re going to lose your tax cuts, you’re going to lose everything that we’ve done, we’ve gotten the biggest tax cuts in history…I’m going to be impeached. They’re going to impeach me. They have no idea why.”

Let’s set aside Trump’s claims about what would be lost, because they are all lies. On the other hand, his “warning” that he would be impeached will resonate as an incentive to most Democrats, Independents, and even some disaffected Republicans. And if Trump needs some reminders of why so many Americans want him impeached, he can just rerefer to his illegal war against Iran, his illegal tariffs, his illegal acceptance of gifts (including a $400 million dollar jet), his illegal vandalizing of property in D.C., and his illegal enrichment of himself. And that’s the abridged list.

What’s more, the prospect of Trump’s impeachment will drive higher voter turnout by Americans who want to hasten the end of his reoccupation of the White House. And that’s an outcome that nobody will need to pretend to enjoy.

MAGA Mike Johnson Chokes When Asked on Fox News What the Republican Alternative to Socialism Is

The Republican Party has been scrounging around for a campaign theme with which to compete with Democrats who are trouncing them in recent polls. They have the distinct disadvantage of being led by Donald Trump, whose approval rating is hitting record lows. If the election were held today the Democrats would sweep into majorities in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump and Mike Johnson

So far the best that Republicans can do is to parrot Trump and his recycled 1950s “red scare” rhetoric. But the strategy of calling all Democrats communists isn’t working because voters aren’t as stupid as Trump and his MAGA cult think they are. Voters aren’t falling for malarkey like this…

SEE THIS: Trump Reveals His Midterm Election Theme: ‘If The Communists Get In You’ll Never Fish Again’

Trump followed up the fish gambit with an economic pitch. He told reporters that “the economy is doing unbelievably from the standpoint of Wall Street.” Unfortunately, from the standpoint of Main Street it sucks. So that campaign theme is likely to bomb as well.

Undeterred by reality, the Republican Squeaker of the House, MAGA Mike Johnson, is determined to push the economic story. However, his plans are devoid of any substantive proposals for how the GOP will actually resolve the problems that they and their Dear Leader have caused. So Johnson visited Fox News Saturday morning and had the following exchange with host (and former Trump press secretary) Kayleigh McEnany…

McEnany: If you’re a young person watching this and you’re disenchanted, and you can’t afford a home, and you’re having trouble with healthcare, and you feel failed by the economy, what is the Republican alternative to the socialists which might be alluring to someone that doesn’t have the education about its failures?
Johnson: Well, the answer is not to turn everything over to the government, because that never works. That drives prices up. It leads to famine. It leads to human suffering and poverty for everyone. But the answer is limited government and individual freedom and the rule of law. the things that the Republicans have been fighting for.

FOX NEWS: If you're a young person and you're disenchanted, you can't afford a home, you're having trouble with healthcare & you feel failed by the economy, what is the Republican alternative?MIKE JOHNSON: Well, the answer is not to turn everything over to the government, because that never works

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2026-08-15T16:30:40.892Z

McEnany actually asked a good question about the financial burdens that many Americans are suffering since Trump reoccupied the White House. It was a straight forward inquiry that gave Johnson an opportunity to explain the Republican plan. But for some reason he didn’t even try. Although his reply at least acknowledged that there is a problem, which contradicts Trump’s delusional insistence that we are living in “The Golden Age” with the best economy ever.

Johnson led off with a hackneyed rant about not “turn[ing] everything over to the government.” Which no Democrat has ever advocated. Democratic Socialism – which, for the MAGA-tists reading this, is not communism – merely proposes to make government more democratic and responsive to the needs of the people. For example, Medicare, public schools, and food and product safety regulations.

Then Johnson concluded by rattling off a series of concepts, not plans that can be implemented. And each of them highlights the hypocrisy of Republican politics. They do not pursue limited government by mandating religious practices. And forcing women to obey the government rather than their doctors when planning families is hardly individual freedom. And a party led by a convicted felon and adjudicated rapist, who exploits his office to enrich himself, and grants pardons to violent insurrectionists and cop-beaters, can’t rationally lay claim to the rule of law.

This is the sinkhole from which Republicans have to dig themselves out of. But they only have two and a half months left to do it. And if they continue to rely on wild-eyed accusations of communism, and oblivious denials of economic hardship, they might as well just give up on campaigning and spend their time on losing illegal wars in the Middle East, sprucing up the White House with gold-plated filigree, and staging professional wrestling matches. Oh, wait. They’re already doing that.

Trump Mulls Declaring a National Emergency to Rig Elections, Says ‘Stranger Things Have Happened’

The desperation of Donald Trump and his Republican confederates continues to multiply like measles in MAGAville. With the midterm elections drawing nearer, Trump and the cult that worships him recognize the abysmal prospects of their electoral future.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump, Constitution

Through it all, Trump manages to maintain an impressive degree of delusion. Despite every poll showing his approval ratings at record lows, he insists that he is enjoying historic levels of popularity. Every day he posts multiple comments on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, saying that he’s never been more beloved.

SEE THIS: Delusional Trump: ‘My REAL Polling Numbers Are the Best They Have Ever Been’ – OK Grandpa

Trump’s departure from reality is more than just an old man dwelling in a senile stupor. He still occupies the White House, with all of the powers that go along with it. And his exercise of those powers has never been marked by intelligence, reason, or respect for the law, even when his mental faculties were marginally functional.

On Tuesday morning Trump did another phone-in interview with a shamelessly sycophantic Trump-fluffer and conspiracy crackpot, Wayne Allen Root, who hosts a program on a MAGA media website. Root raised the topic of the imminent elections and sought Trump’s opinion on a dangerously unlawful and anti-American proposal.

Root: Let me put an idea in your head OK. Because it’s so hard to get the Senate to do anything now, they’re at recess, they don’t get anything done. If they never get the Save America Act done, you have the right to declare a national security emergency for elections. And the Supreme Court ruled in 1983, under Reagan…that if you declare a national security emergency as the president of the United States, they can’t challenge it. It can only be overturned by a two-thirds vote of both houses of Congress. So if you do this in the next month, we will get photo ID, proof of citizenship and a limit to mail-in ballots.
Trump: Let me just say stranger things have happened. I’ll leave it at that.

Root’s advocacy for Trump declaring a “national security emergency for elections” is preposterous. No such authority exists. Particularly by way of Root’s absolutely asinine suggestion that the declaration would be justified if the Senate failed to pass Trump’s “Save America Act” (aka Voter Suppression Act). The inability of a partisan Congress to pass a bill favored by an aspiring totalitarian president is not a national emergency.

To the contrary, the Constitution gives the states sole authority over administering elections. And the “National Emergencies Act” does not supersede the Constitution or suspend of any of its provisions during a declared emergency. So even if an emergency were declared, it wouldn’t give Trump the right to impose voting regulations (i.e. photo ID, proof of citizenship, limit mail-in ballots) on the states. More detail here.

Furthermore, Congress does have the power to terminate a national emergency by passing a joint resolution to do so. Although that resolution would require the president’s signature. If the president vetoes the resolution, Congress can override it with a two-thirds supermajority in both houses. That’s a high bar, but not impossible when considering the stakes. After all, Trump has majorities in both houses of Congress now, but still can’t get his Voter Suppression law passed.

Failing that, the emergency declaration can also be terminated by state governments, businesses, or affected individuals who can sue in federal court if they believe the declaration exceeds statutory or constitutional limits. And contrary to Root’s claim, the Supreme Court can strike down actions tied to an alleged emergency if the president oversteps their authority.

While the prospects of a national emergency declaration by Trump to take over elections should not be dismissed, neither should they feed irrational anxieties and fear. There are still guardrails available in the legislative and judicial branches of government that would defeat Trump’s tyrannical aspirations.

It is worrisome enough that Trump even entertains this idea with flippant comments that “stranger things have happened.” And because Trump and his MAGA-tist cult are open to such breaches of the Constitution, the rest of us must remain vigilant and committed to preserving American democracy and the principles that sustain it.

Remember When Trump Swore He’d Sign No Bills Until After His ‘Save America Act’ – Guess What?

If there is one thing that Donald Trump can be relied upon for, it’s being completely unreliable. His word is his bond to renege on whatever he said and do something else entirely that he thinks is in his best interest at the time. That’s true whether he’s talking to voters, reporters, Republicans, or even wartime adversaries in Iran.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump

Trump’s erratic tendencies make it impossible to predict what he will be fixating on at any given time. One moment he will be laser-focused on obliterating Iran, and the next he will be bragging about his ballroom/military center. Lately he has been obsessed with passing his “Save America Act” (aka Voter Suppression Act). Although he can’t manage to get it passed through persuasion, so he resorts to threats and insults. He recently raged that “Only sick, demented, or deranged people in the House or Senate could vote against THE SAVE AMERICA ACT.”

SEE THIS: IN A PANIC Trump Threatens GOP to Pass His Anti-Voting Act, Because His ‘Reasons’ Are Pure BS

Today marks the five month anniversary of Trump promising that he wouldn’t sign any bill that comes to his desk from Congress unless they have sent him the Voter Suppression bill first. On March 8, Trump swore that “It supersedes everything else. MUST GO TO THE FRONT OF THE LINE. I, as President, will not sign other Bills until this is passed.”

You’ll never guess what happened since then. To no one’s surprise, Trump has signed at least 25 bills into law without having signed the Voter Suppression law first. It is driving the 80 year old toddler nuts that he hasn’t been able to get his way, despite putting tremendous pressure on his fellow Republicans, especially Senate GOP leader, John Thune. But he just doesn’t have the votes, even among Republicans.

Trump has been pushing Thune to terminate the Senate filibuster in order to get his anti-voting bill passed. But he doesn’t have the GOP votes for that either. That hasn’t stopped him from shelling out some preposterous warnings about what will happen if Republicans don’t ditch the filibuster. First of all, Trump insists that Democrats will do it first thing if/when they regain a majority in the Senate. After which…

“The Dumocrats will [by making D.C. and Puerto Rico states] gain 4 Senators, 8 Congressmen, many Electoral and Popular Votes, a stacked Supreme Court with 23 Justices, and I will be, sadly, despite the great job we are doing, the last Republican President!”

REALLY? Trump has previously said that his Voter Suppression bill would “result in Republicans never losing for the next 50 years.” Which is not exactly an argument for free and fair elections. But now Trump is actually working to motivate Democratic voters? Good to know!

OH NOES!!!? More Democrats in Congress?? Fair elections?? A balanced Supreme Court?? And no more crooked Republican presidents?Trump is so SCARED of Dr. Abdul El-Sayed that he has issued a "warning" that most Americans will cheer and work hard to achieve. LFG!

Mike Johnson Warns the Media of Threats By Communists, But Ignores the Real Threats By Trump

The flailing desperation of Donald Trump and his MAGA Republican confederates is ramping up feverishly as the midterm elections get closer, and their prospects for holding Congress are deteriorating at – as Trump might put it- levels never seen before.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump and Mike Johnson

The form that the Trumpist retreat is taking is a replication of the “Red Scare” of the 1950s, when Republicans saw communists in every shadow and around every corner preparing to pounce on vulnerable Americans and infecting them with the poison of Pinko propaganda. Trump himself posted a comment on his own personal propaganda platform, Truth Social, proposing to outlaw political thought and speech that he doesn’t like. Just like his hero Vladimir Putin does in Russia.

SEE THIS: Putin Prodigy Trump Calls to Criminalize Democratic Socialism and Deport Its Leaders

Taking his orders from Dear Leader Trump, House Squeaker MAGA Mike Johnson is now also fear mongering about scary, but imaginary, communists. Johnson’s morning press briefing was a full blown “commies are on your doorstep plotting to kill and your family” tirade. He let loose a blast of explosive diarhetorical bombast warning that the long-fabled “red scare” is upon us, and our literal survival is at stake. He said in part (because in full it’s too tedious and insane) that…

“These crazy little Mamdanis who are popping up all around the country, they are a danger to you and your family. This is not a game…So we are here as the Republican Party to stand on the founding principles of the greatest nation in the history of the world. It is our duty to do that.

“And we’re doing it on behalf of all of you. Even the journalists who don’t agree with our policies all the time. You better agree on these principles because that’s what keeps you free. By the way, it’s what keeps the press free, okay? This is essential for your well-being and your family…We’re arguing whether or not freedom is going to survive…We’re in a war.”

Mike Johnson: "Even the journalists who don't agree with our policies all the time — you better agree on these principles. Because that's what keeps you free."

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2026-07-14T15:19:48.074Z

OH NOES! Not “crazy little Mamdanis” popping up all the place. Never mind that New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is one of the most popular public figures in America today. That’s what makes them such a threat to me and my family, in the eyes of Trump’s MAGA-tists.

That’s pretty frightening, isn’t it? But Johnson’s alarm at what he sees as threats to the free press is even more frightening. Not because there is anything rational about it. But because he is so utterly oblivious to the actual threats that Trump poses to the media.

Trump has been referring to the free press in Stalinist terms as “the enemy of the people,” for years. He has filed dozens of lawsuits intended to punish and intimidate any journalists who dare to report honestly about him. He shepherds corporations run by sycophantic, right-wing, billionaires through the regulatory hurdles that Trump controls in his administration. He has even had journalists arrested for accurately reporting his documented words and deeds.

MORE HERE: WHAT 1ST AMENDMENT? Trump Regime Threatens NYT Journalists to Compel Them to Give Up Sources

Ironically, Trump is the one who is implementing communist-like control over the “means of production” by taking a role in corporate mergers, demanding multimillion dollar payments from corporations seeking government favors, forcing corporations to sell parts of the businesses to the government, and defunding public media such as PBS, NPR, and Radio Free America.

What’s more, Trump and his radical, totalitarian, comrades couldn’t even define communism. They just use the word as an all-purpose pejorative to whip up fear in their equally ignorant cult followers. So they call all Democrats – and particularly Social Democrats – communists. But in reality, Democratic Socialists are in the mainstream of American politics. They are responsible for things like Social Security, interstate highways, public libraries, Obamacare, and more.

It’s not a coincidence that those are among the most popular programs in the nation’s history. And that’s another thing that frightens the MAGA-tists and Trump. It leaves him so discombobulated that he does pitiful and preposterous things like this…

Republican James Comer Gives Fox News a Damn Good Reason to Vote Democratic and Flip the House

The upcoming midterm elections in November are going to have a profound impact on the remaining two years of Donald Trump’s occupation of the White House. It is likely that Democrats will regain the majority in the House of Representatives, and have a good chance of doing the same in the Senate.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Fox News Sad

The prospects of Trump transforming from a Screech Owl to a Lame Duck next year are greater with each passing day. He is doing virtually nothing to advance the campaigns of Republicans. He even said to reporters that I Don’t Care About the Midterms.” Instead, he is focusing almost exclusively on vanity projects like the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool and his golden ballroom. He hardly even mentions anymore the war against Iran that he’s losing. The closest he comes to articulating a campaign theme is to regurgitate the “red scare” paranoia of the 1950s.

SEE THIS: Trump Reveals His Midterm Election Theme: ‘If The Communists Get In You’ll Never Fish Again’

In support of his Dear Leader, Republican Oversight Committee chair, James Comer, made another of his nearly daily appearances on Fox News. But during the course of what he thought was a segment that would juice Trump’s standing with the public, Comer offered what is more likely a motivating message for Democrats.

“This is just a perfect example of the Democrats. And I think that all they’re gonna do if they flip the House and become the majority of the House is investigate and harass Donald Trump.”

Republican James Comer is making a great case for voting for Democrats and flipping the House. He says that they will investigate and harass Trump.GOOD! There will finally be some law and order, rather than the sycophantic cowardice and puppetry of the GOP Congress.

News Corpse (@newscorpse.bsky.social) 2026-07-06T20:14:30.224Z

OH NO! NOT THAT! Comer is threatening that if Democrats are elected they will do exactly what Democrats, most independents, and even some Republicans, want them to do. This is the sort of message that will drive voters who are tired of – and disgusted by – Trump to the polls in record numbers. Surveys show that the American people are through tolerating Trump’s corruption and lies.

Voters see Trump enriching himself by billions of dollars, mostly via scams, while they are struggling to pay for gas, groceries, housing, and healthcare. And they see him wasting scarce taxpayer revenue on trivialities like alleged DC beautification, or worse, atrocities like ICE thugs persecuting innocent immigrants and even some citizens.

The onscreen message on Fox News during Comer’s segment said that a “Dem Report Claims Trump Corrupted America 250.” Which is some more inadvertently accurate messaging from the folks at Fox News. There is indeed a well researched report that reveals how Trump has hijacked the “America 250” project to divert funds to his own “Freedom 250” scam.

The spectacle of watching Comer accidentally help Democratic campaigns is not a one-time mistake by Trump regime confederates. Trump’s former press Secretary, Kellyanne Conway, has done it as well…

Trump himself has unintentionally characterized himself as a recidivist criminal, and unwittingly reminded people of his frequent illegal activities…

WHUT? MAGA Mike Johnson Says that No Proof of Election Rigging is Proof the Election Was Rigged

Donald Trump and his MAGA Republican flunkies are totally discombobulated by the fact that Democrats are leading in the elections in California. They simply cannot understand how Democratic candidates could be favored in the most Democratic state in America. Someone call the Waaahmbulance.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump, Congress, Mike Johnson

The GOP and their Dear Leader think that if a Republican who is a former Fox News hack, and another who is a reality TV goofball, are not winning, there must be something terribly wrong. It’s become a mantra that the MAGA-tists chant every time an election doesn’t go their way. And they go back and forth between seething outrage and flaccid apathy.

SEE THIS: MAGA Mike Johnson Pitifully Tries to Cover For Trump Saying ‘I Don’t Care About the Midterms’

Leading the charge to declare all election outcomes phony if Republicans don’t win, is the GOP Speaker of the House of Representatives, MAGA Mike Johnson. And he is employing some novel arguments to make his case. In an exchange with CNN’s congressional correspondent, Manu Raju, Johnson shamelessly floated the theory that the absence of factual evidence of wrongdoing is proof that wrongdoing took place. When asked about the whether he though the California electins were rigged, Johnson whined that…

Johnson: I’m not saying it’s rigged. I’m saying it stinks to high heaven, and everybody knows that. Let’s remove the appearance of impropriety. What a concept. Let’s have votes on an election the day of the election. That’s what many states are able to do. I think California is playing around with us.
Raju: But what evidence is there to prove that the election was rigged?
Johnson: Some of these efforts are so diabolical and so far upstream, it is impossible to prove. But I think everybody knows instinctively something is wrong here, and that’s a concern. We need people to believe in the integrity of our election system.

Let’s unravel Johnson’s flaming bullshittery. To begin with he denies saying that the election is rigged, only that it stinks. What exactly is his point? Then he complains that the election results aren’t finalized on election day. Which is common in states that have mail-in voting, including Johnson’s state of Louisiana.

More to the point, Johnson’s contention that Democrats have engaged in something so “diabolical” that “it is impossible to prove” any wrongdoing. And he claims that the absence of such proof is therefore proof in itself of wrongdoing. He thinks that Democrats are so good at covering up their schemes that the schemes must have taken place. By that logic, Johnson is actually the Zodiac Killer. And the proof is that there isn’t any evidence of it. So he must have been really good at covering it up.

Johnson went on to claim that “everybody knows instinctively something is wrong.” And as an experienced lawmaker and leader of his party, Johnson knows that “instinct” is the criteria on which legal rulings are based. Who needs facts or evidence when you have strong feelings? Did the defendant murder his wife? I feel like he did, so send him to the gas chamber. Case closed.

That’s the level of intellectual scrutiny that Republicans give to election integrity. It’s a bar that was placed extraordinarily low by their Dear Leader Trump. And Johnson is very concerned about people believing in the integrity of our election system. Which is why he and Trump do nothing but trash the system every chance they get, without even a shred of evidence. That will instill the confidence he claims to crave, right? Right? RIGHT?

Clearly the Trump regime couldn’t care less about election integrity. To the contrary they are focused solely on creating skepticism and division. They know they can’t win elections on the merits of their policies and competence. So their only remaining option is make as many people as possible doubt that the elections are legitimate.

Hence their fixation on declaring that is everything rigged, despite never providing any proof. And now that absence of proof, in their minds, is its own proof that it’s all rigged. What a brilliantly asinine strategy to undermine democracy.

BE AFRAID! Mike Johnson Frets About ‘Little Mini Mamdanis Popping Up All Around the Country’

The rapidly approaching midterm elections in November continue to stir deep seated anxieties in the Republican Party as their prospects for any sort of favorable results fade into the realm of improbable fantasy. Most recent polling show Democrats winning a solid majority in the House (despite the GOP attempts at redistricting), and a pretty good chance of taking the Senate as well.

Donald Trump and Mike Johnson

The predictions of a massive Blue Wave are driving GOP leaders into frenzies of desperation. They are utterly incapable of competing on the merits of their ideas or their records in office. So they are resorting to the most pathetic campaign tactics that rely solely on lies and smears. In other words, The Trump Strategy.

SEE THIS: Trump Unloads Dozens of Insane Posts, Including Calling for the Arrest of Obama for Treason

Leading the way is Republican House speaker, MAGA Mike Johnson. During a Wednesday morning interview on Fox News (where else?), Johnson revealed his innermost fears of the dreadful electoral outcomes that await him and his party in the near future.

“The way I describe it in summary is that there are little mini Mamdanis popping up all around the country. Okay? And they’re openly avowed socialist Marxist ideology. This is something that we have never seen before in American history.”

OH MY! Johnson is quite right. This country has never before been invaded by mini Zohran Mamdanis, the recently elected – and massively popular – mayor of New York City. And Johnson is also right to be afraid. These marauding Democrats are threatening to take the nation by storm, improving the lives of every American and advancing the principles of freedom and liberty. That alone should strike terror into the MAGA-tists. Even without the ludicrous lies that Democrats are “avowed socialists” espousing “Marxist ideology.” No wonder the GOP elite are scared. But Johnson was just getting started…

“The Tea Party resetting the Republican Party was about fiscal responsibility. This is about moving away from a constitutional republic to a communist utopian ideology, and that’s a dangerous thing for the future of the country.”

Really? Johnson is apparently oblivious to the fact that the current mood in the nation’s politics is dominated by the abysmal fiscal irresponsibility of the Trump regime that has resulted in higher costs of everything from gas and groceries, to housing and healthcare, and so much more. He is also blissfully unaware that it is Trump who is undermining the Constitution at every opportunity, and cozies up to his communist idols like Vladimir Putin. Johnson wraps up saying that…

“The problem we have, the insurgent left, the far left has all the energy, excitement, and the money in the Democratic Party. This is not our father’s Democratic Party anymore. They are going far, far left, and no one’s there to stop it.”

Once again, Johnson is right. “This is not our father’s Democratic Party.” Much as he wishes it were. In fact, he wishes it were a political party and era more like that of his great grandfathers, when women and people of color had no rights or voting privileges. and Democrats like Mamdani knew their place. Johnson is also right that there is no one who can stop it.

So maybe Johnson should just sit down and shut up for while as the adults run the country. It’s not like he’s actually doing anything anyway. He has presided over the least productive Congress in decades. And his overarching tendency has been to surrender every last remnant of the constitutional duties of the Legislative branch of government to Dear Leader Trump. Including allowing Trump to pocket billions of dollars of taxpayers’ money

The MAGA GOP speaker says that an action by Trump's "Justice" Department (to pay him billions of dollars) "is not in my purview." ???Oversight of the Executive branch and its agencies is a core function of Congress. Johnson is, once again, surrendering his jurisdiction to Dear Leader Trump.
