Has Fox News Finally Figured it Out? ‘This is Why Conservatives Call the GOP the Stupid Party’

If it seems to you like every day Republicans in Congress do something new to humiliate themselves, while advancing their ultra-rightist smear campaigns against President Biden and other Democrats, and sucking up to their Dear Leader Donald Trump, then it’s clear that you are paying attention.

Donald Trump, Republican, GOP

It’s almost as if the GOP is purposefully planning these embarrassing political pratfalls as their strategy for winning back the White House. What else could explain stunts like the one that Marjorie Taylor Greene just pulled by filing a motion to oust House Speaker Mike Johnson after only five months as Speaker? And recall that he got that post because Republicans ousted the previous Speaker, Kevin McCarthy, after only nine months.

SEE THIS: DO-NOTHING CONGRESS? The Republican House of Representatives is the Most Productive Ever (LOL)

The reaction to Green’s motion has been swift and hilarious. Most of her GOP colleagues have condemned her for reinforcing the accurate impression that the Republican Party is populated by idiots and is awash in chaos. But those condemning her are doing their own part in reinforcing that impression. They surely are not exhibiting the unity that Trump recently bragged about…

SEE ALSO: REALLY? Dementia Addled Trump Babbles that ‘I Have Never Seen the Republican Party So Unified’

And if that weren’t bad enough, Fox News isn’t taking any of this very well. It is presenting them with more obstacles to their propaganda mission of propping up Republicans and Trump-fluffing. That was glaringly evident in the monologue of Fox’s Laura Ingraham who whined that…

“I have been in Washington for 30 years. I have never witnessed what I’m witnessing now. A party with a narrow majority in the House of Representatives – everything on the line in the country – but committing a slow suicide. This is why conservatives call the GOP the stupid party.”

First of all, it isn’t conservatives calling the GOP “The Stupid Party” (which would make a great new name for them). It is mainstream Republicans and most Americans. If anything, it’s the conservatives like Greene and the GOP’s Freedom Caucus who are attacking Johnson, advocating extremist policies (i.e. banning abortion, cutting Social Security, etc.), and generally spreading around the stupid.

What’s more, Ingraham is complaining about the GOP being incapable of governing with their “narrow” and shrinking majority. But she is steadfastly against working with Democrats on compromise legislation such as funding the government, securing the border, or providing aid to Ukraine. She and her right-wing confederates have no positive solutions to the nation’s problems. Instead, they are laser focused on impeaching President Biden and maligning his family and Cabinet. It is that agenda that is causing their “slow suicide.”

However, Ingraham is not alone. Her Fox News comrade, and former Trump press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany, joined the pile-on following Green’s Johnson-busting business. On Friday’s episode of Fox’s “Outnumbered” McEnany offered a uniquely perverse point of view…

“So, Marjorie Taylor Greene said ‘I have not talked to president Trump about this.’ Largely president Trump and Speaker Mike Johnson have had a great relationship. Speaker Mike Johnson just put out a piece congratulating him on securing the nomination. I think it’s a pretty big voice you would want to get input from since he’s the titular head of the party at the moment.”

What McEnany is proposing is that Trump be given the right of approval as to who Republicans in the House choose to lead their party. Never mind that the Constitution explicitly divides the government into three independent branches. McEnany would do away with the principle of “separation of powers” so that Trump could reign as a monarch, imposing his will on the legislative and judicial branches, in addition to the executive. Which, by the way, he does not currently occupy.

This is just further evidence that the Stupid Party is more of a cult than a political enterprise. And it’s Ministry of Propaganda (aka Fox News) is fully on board with elevating Dear Leader Trump to messiah status as they pray for him to be their savior. But if the abject foolishness of Republicans is regarded as the party having committed suicide, it is one that will benefit the nation and its citizens, So perhaps a more fitting description for the demise of the GOP is that it’s a mercy killing.

IT’S A CULT! Marjorie Taylor Greene on ‘Eradicating’ Republicans Who Don’t Bow Down to Trump

What was once called the “Grand Old Party” (GOP) has shuffled off of this mortal coil. What remains of Republican politics is now nothing more than a vehicle for a wannabe dictator, with 91 felony counts pending, who has been adjudicated as a rapist, and espouses a platform of retribution against his perceived foes.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, Gun

Donald Trump has completely taken over the Republican Party and demands unwavering fealty to his holiness. In his narcissistic delirium he imagines that he is beloved by millions of devoted disciples, and any criticism or departure from absolute adoration, can only be explained as “fake news” or the work of “radical, communist, fascist, lunatics, and thugs,” which is how he describes Americans – Democratic or Republican – who resist his divinity. Plus, he has his own official Ministry of Propaganda to infect his minion with his madness.

SEE THIS: HUH? Fox News Accuses Democrats of ‘Demonizing’ Trump’s ‘Crazy,’ ‘Deplorable,’ MAGA Extremists

On Tuesday Marjorie Taylor Greene was interviewed at a Trump rally in New Hampshire. Her comments affirm the obsequious servility of the Trumpian mindset. She proudly told the reporter that…

“This is a true change for the Republican Party. Not only do we support President Trump, we support his policies. And any Republican that isn’t willing to adapt these policies we are completely eradicating from the party.”

Did you hear that, Republicans? The MAGA contingent of the GOP aims to “eradicate” you if you dare to exercise any sort of independent thinking, or entertain any notions that haven’t been preapproved by the Ministerial Mavens of MAGA. Free expression is verboten in these venues. The press has already been warned, and now the threat of excommunication must be extended to the rank and file members of the new GOP (Groveling Obedient Peons).

This mandate has already been imposed on Republican heretics such as House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, Rep. Liz Cheney, Sen. Mitt Romney, Gov. And any Republican who thinks that they can’t be next is terminally naïve. So sayeth apostle MTG. Trump’s will be done.

Marjorie Taylor Greene is ‘Dreaming’ of Having Evidence of Corruption Against President Biden

The Republican Party spent most of 2023 weaving whacko fantasies of felonious wrongdoing by President Biden. And the new year finds them spinning ever more of the same delusional tales of corruption and self-dealing that, if true, would have made Biden a multi-billionaire by now. That, of course, isn’t the case. But far be it for the GOP to succumb to rationality or facts.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, QAnon

The Republican’s “Biden Compulsive Disorder” that is causing them to cling so fiercely to their quixotic, criminal contortions, has consumed the GOP political agenda. Which is why they have nothing to run on in this election year, other than promises of partisan retribution, terminating Obamacare, book bans, and relentless fear mongering about scary immigrants and a looming economic collapse.

SEE THIS: Trump’s Fear Mongering Lies About ‘Streets Drenched in Blood’ Reach New Depths of Depravity

Fulfilling its role as the GOP’s Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News invited Marjorie Taylor Greene on to discuss the phony issue of Biden’s alleged criming. She told Maria Bartiromo that Republicans on the House Oversight Committee have “serious evidence” of a “complete unbelievable amount of corruption” that “the Democrats don’t want to admit.” She elaborated saying that…

“You know, they pitch fits and temper tantrums and claim we don’t have evidence. But the reason why they’re doing that is because they’re looking at the same evidence that we have with Jamie Raskin and other Democrats on the committee. They know what we are in possession of. They could only dream of having this kind of evidence against president Trump and his family. And they were never able to produce it because all of their attacks were lies.”

That’s quite an admission on Greene’s part. To be clear, she is affirming that the reason Democrats say that Republicans have no evidence is that they have seen what Republicans have. “They know what we are in possession of,” says Greene. Which, apparently, is nothing. So Greene is, in effect, validating what the Democrats are saying.

The fact that Republicans have utterly failed in their efforts to smear Biden was established long ago. Oversight Committee chair, James Comer has repeatedly made a fool of himself in hearings wherein his own witnesses testified that Biden had done nothing wrong.

SEE ALSO: YES OR NO? GOP Biden Basher Can’t Answer Hannity’s Question About Bogus Bribery Allegations

Meanwhile, there is abundant proof of the criminality of Donald Trump. Democrats don’t have to “dream” at all. Trump is currently facing 91 felony charges that are backed up by documents and testimony, primarily from Republicans. And these charges were not brought by Democrats, but by citizens serving on Grand Juries.

For good measure, during the same interview, Greene provided an example of her alleged evidence against Biden. Referencing telephone calls that Biden was on with his son, Hunter (about which a Republican witness testified under oath that no business was ever discussed), Greene demonstrated that she is not only a pathological liar, but now she is claiming that Joe Biden is conversing with the dead over the phone. And she thinks Democrats are dreaming?

Republican Congressman Makes a Great Case – and Political Ad – for Voting Against Republicans

The Republican Party has long held the position that government is an evil institution that can only make life worse for its citizens. They refuse to accept any notion that a democracy in America can advance the interests of the people. Instead, they insist that government doesn’t work and then, when they have some measure of authority, they prove it by their malicious mismanagement.

Donald Trump, Republican, GOP

This anti-American philosophy can be traced back at least to Ronald Reagan, who preached that “Government is not the solution to our problems, government is the problem.” That dismal and cynical perspective renouncing the concept of a self-governing nation has lately been bolstered by the Donald Trump era’s brand of GOP politics. Today’s Republicans frolic in the failures of legislative affairs that they believe are inherently harmful. In fact they’re proud of it…

SEE THIS: GOP Wants a Government Shutdown Because ‘Most of What We Do is Bad, Hurts the American People’

On Wednesday Republican Rep. Chip Roy took to the floor of the House of Representatives to chastise members of his own party for their conspicuous incompetence and inability to get anything done. His anger was intended as criticism of the GOP’s failure to pass absurd and meritless legislative assaults against Democrats. However, it will play much better as an ad for Democrats seeking to highlight the ineptitude of Republicans, which the campaign for President Biden quickly jumped on. “Chips Ahoy” Roy ranted that he wanted…

One thing. I want my Republican colleagues to give me one thing. One. That I can go campaign on and say we did. One. Anybody sitting in the complex, if you want to come down to the floor and come explain to me, one meaningful, significant thing the Republican majority has done

Indeed, the Republicans haven’t managed to move a single piece of significant legislation that might benefit the people. Although it did take them fifteen votes to elect Kevin McCarthy as their Speaker. But then they ousted him and took three more weeks to select his replacement, Mike Johnson. In the meantime they held hearings on Hunter Biden, gas stoves, honoring January 6th insurrectionists, and impeaching President Biden on the basis of zero evidence of any wrongdoing.

Producing pro-Democratic ads has become something of an avocation for Republicans and right-wing media. Previously, Marjorie Taylor Greene whined that Democrats were doing a variety of wonderful things that most Americans support. An appreciative Biden campaign turned into a pro-Biden advertisement.

SEE IT HERE: President Biden Trolls Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Hysterically Lame Swipe at Democratic Successes

The folks at Fox News weren’t going to be ignored in this endeavor. So “Outnumbered” co-host Emily Compagno itemized some of the crazy conspiracy theories to which Mike Johnson has subscribed. Which made another strong argument against the GOP and in favor of Democrats.

SEE IT HERE: HAH! Fox News Turns Mike Johnson’s Conspiracy Theories Into a Great Campaign Ad – For Democrats

Democrats owe the Republican party a debt of gratitude for their inadvertent honesty and helpful advertisement production. It will save the Democrats a lot of money they would otherwise have had to spend on producing ads themselves.

Unfortunately, the downside is that the American people are being shortchanged by not having a functional legislative branch of government at a time when the nation and the world needs the leadership that the U.S. can provide. But on the basis of the GOP’s own arguments, hopefully Republicans will be voted out of office so that intelligent, compassionate, patriotic, adults can restore confidence in the American system of government and in democracy itself.

Shadow GOP House Speaker, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Outlines the Malodorous MAGA Agenda

You have to hand it to the Republican members of the House of Representatives. At a time of global crisis they have chosen to jettison their own leader, now ex-Speaker Kevin McCarthy, and they are utterly incapable of electing his successor or performing any of the other duties of the Congress that they allegedly control.

Click here to Tweet this article

Marjorie Taylor Greene, QAnon

Prior to McCarthy’s unprecedented and humiliating banishment from his post, he presided over a caucus of extremist MAGA reps who sought to cast the nation (and the world) into an economic collapse by allowing the U.S. government to default on its national debt. That was quickly followed up with another stab at financial disaster with their failure to pass the necessary appropriations bills to prevent a government shutdown. Which may have been their plan all along.

SEE THIS: GOP Wants a Government Shutdown Because ‘Most of What We Do is Bad, Hurts the American People’

As the GOP’s internal battle for a new Speaker rages, their unofficial “Shadow” Speaker, Marjorie Taylor Greene, has emerged from the muddy swamp bridge under which she resides to present her list of priorities for the MAGA mob in Congress. And it’s just as bountifully bonkers as you might have imagined…

As a public service, here is a MAGA-to-English translation for each of Marge’s “red lines”

  • “Stop funding a proxy war with Russia in Ukraine.”
Permit Putin to continue massacring innocent Ukrainians in his quest to reunite the old Soviet Union.
  • “No money for COVID anything.”
Allow more American to get sick and die from a virus that is treatable and for which there is a safe and effective vaccine.
  • “Stop the weaponized government.”
Cease to hold Donald Trump accountable for the 91 felonies (so far) that he has been charged with.
  • “Stop transgender surgeries on kids.”
Prohibit families from making free choices concerning their personal lives and their own mental and physical health.
  • “Secure our border.”
Waste time, energy, and money pretending that the border isn’t already secure, while simultaneously disparaging refugees and fomenting racism.
  • “Put America First!”
Sputter mindless slogans that trigger hateful xenophobes and that were first coined by American Nazis.

And there you have it. Greene has helpfully elucidated the repugnant policies that the Republican Party will pursue as long as they hold any power. Notice that none of it provides any tangible benefits to American people. To the contrary, they completely neglect the priorities that the American people are actually interested in, such as creating jobs with livable wages, mitigating climate change and preserving the environment, providing aid for the poor, expanding and improving education and healthcare, passing common sense gun reforms, strengthening foreign relations and national security, and advancing civil and voting rights.

Green’s agenda is diametrically opposed to that of the majority of Americans. Not that she cares. She shares the totalitarian aspirations of her hero, Donald Trump. Ironically, Greene recently went on a rant wherein she thought she was maligning the objectives of Democrats, but which turned out to be a pretty solid pro-Democratic ad, which President Biden took full advantage of…

SEE THIS: President Biden Trolls Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Hysterically Lame Swipe at Democratic Successes

This, nevertheless, is where Greene and most of her party are today. And she is actually proud of it. But then again, this is the same woman who has carved out a profile for herself in modern politics as a QAnon conspiracy theorist and a kooky crackpot who once sought to have Jimmy Kimmel arrested for telling a joke. And it speaks volumes that none of that has hindered her becoming the public face of the GOP.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Opposes ‘Communists Controlling Our Government,’ Except for Putin?

The ignorance of the Trump cult is something that is put on display daily by its most devoted disciples and proponents. Their own arguments are so painfully devoid of reason that it often seems useless to try to rebut them. But leaving them unchallenged is an even worse option.

Click here to Tweet this article

Marjorie Taylor Greene, Vladimir Putin

Leading the this assault on intelligent discourse is the ever faithful StormTrumper, Marjorie Taylor Greene. She has made it her mission to serve as the Republican Party’s Chief Apologist and Asswipe for Donald Trump. And no one can dispute her allegiance to that assignment.

SEE THIS: Adam Schiff Shames the GOP for its ‘Willingness to Debase Themselves in the Service of Trump’

On Sunday Greene spoke out on behalf of her Dear Leader to praise a court ruling that she thinks prohibits President Biden and the Democrats from responding to the flagrant disinformation that is dispensed by Trump and his GOP propaganda machine. Her remarks in a tweet referenced the decision by the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals that actually narrowed a prior ruling.

Greene: “The Communist Democrats abuse their power and violate the rights of Americans in order to achieve their agenda. Their ends always justify their means. We cannot continue as a free society with Communists controlling our government.”

It has become routine for Trumpy Republicans to exhibit their idiocy by proudly demonstrating that they have no idea what the words “communism, socialism,” and “fascism” mean. They regularly misuse these terms in attempts to insult Democrats and President Biden. However, if you were to ask them to define the terms, it is sure bet that they would not be able to. Just the fact that they think that fascism is synonymous to the other terms is proof of their flaming illiteracy.

What’s more, there is nothing that remotely aligns the Democrats views about this court ruling with communism. To the contrary, Democrats are staunch supporters of free speech and a free press, which Trump maligns as “the enemy of the people.” And only Trump and the GOP have ever actually threatened to “shut down” social media.

If Greene is looking for a prominent politician who embraces communism, she need look no further than her mango messiah, Trump. His infatuation with Russian war criminal, Vladimir Putin, and his love letters with North Korean dictator, Kim Jong Un, and his admiration for China’s Xi Jinping, show who the true commie lover (or at least totalitarian tyrant) is.

For the record, the court decision that Greene is celebrating is a conservative appellate ruling that strikes down part of an even more conservative ruling that prohibited the Biden administration from interacting with social media. It was triggered by requests that federal agencies made to Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter to consider taking down disinformation about COVID and election integrity. These were clearly requests – not demands – that anyone is entitled to make, even the government. In fact, the government is duty bound to make such requests when dangerously wrong data is found to be circulating.

The original ruling was preposterous and overbroad, as the appellate court stated. But even the appellate court’s mitigation was out of line, and their decision is likely to be appealed as well. The Department of Justice responded that it “will evaluate its options,” and elaborated saying that…

“This administration has promoted responsible actions to protect public health, safety, and security when confronted by challenges like a deadly pandemic and foreign attacks on our elections. Our consistent view remains that social media platforms have a critical responsibility to take account of the effects their platforms are having on the American people, but make independent choices about the information they present.”

Greene’s inability to coherently assess the legal complexities of this issue should not surprise anyone. Some of her own colleagues don’t respect her. On Sunday morning, GOP Judiciary Committee member, Ken Buck, was interviewed by Jen Psaki on MSNBC about Greene’s obsession with impeaching President Biden. Buck smacked her down as “absurd” saying that…

“Marjorie filed articles of impeachment on President Biden before he was sworn into office more than two and a half years ago. So the idea that she is now the expert on impeachment, or that she is someone who should set the timing on impeachment is absurd. The time for impeachment is the time when there’s evidence linking – if there’s evidence – linking President Biden to a high crime or misdemeanor. That doesn’t exist right now.”

So not only is Buck accurately describing Greene as absurd, he’s contradicting the whole of the GOP caucus that has been yammering (aka lying) for months about having “proof” that Biden is corrupt. There has never been been even a shred of any such proof. But that hasn’t stopped most of the Republican scandal mongers from lining up to perpetuate their lies. And Greene always seems to be at the front of that line.

Adam Schiff Shames the GOP for its ‘Willingness to Debase Themselves in the Service of Trump’

From its inception, the Cult of Trump has been fueled by a Republican Party that is cowardly or corrupt, or more accurately, both. They were too afraid to hold Trump accountable when they had the opportunity during his two impeachments. And ever since they have remained terrified of invoking his impotent wrath or that of his glassy-eyed disciples.

Donald Trump, Adam Schiff

Consequently, Trump remains the leading candidate for the GOP’s presidential nomination. And most of the other candidates have promised to support him, even if he is convicted of any or all of the 91 felony counts currently pending against him in his four criminal indictments. They are so proud of their fealty to the Party’s mob boss that they made their devotion known on national television.

SEE THIS: GOP Debate Affirms It’s a Pro-Criminal Trump Cult that Wants to Put a Felon in the White House

On Sunday morning Rep. Adam Schiff was interviewed by Jen Psaki on MSNBC. And he had some pertinent points to make about the Republican embrace of purposeful and depraved lawlessness. Psaki approached the discussion with a question about the GOP’s enthusiasm for shutting down the government. She specifically referenced Marjorie Taylor Greene’s utterly inane promise to halt critical federal activities – including Social Security and veterans benefits, law enforcement, financial aid for low income families, etc. – if her colleagues refuse to go along with her obsession to impeach President Biden for no discernible reason…

Psaki: Shutting the government down has implications on the public broadly. What is your reaction to her tying a government shutdown to an impeachment inquiry?
Schiff: It just shows the extreme lengths they’ll go to carry water for Donald Trump. They’ll shut down the government. They’ll do whatever they can to initiate an impeachment of Joe Biden. And part of the motivation here, of course, is to distract from Donald Trump’s multiple indictments. Part of it is to somehow try to dilute the stain of Trump’s impeachments. But the common denominator is just this unswerving, undeniable willingness to debase themselves in the service of Donald Trump. (Emphasis added).

Indeed, debasing themselves has become a routine part of today’s Republican Party. Whether they are defending the violent January 6th insurrectionists, seeking to criminalize abortion, organizing book bannings and beer boycotts, imposing racist restrictions on voting, and as always, kissing Trump’s – let’s just say ring. Schiff then continued…

Schiff: I think that many of them would like to shut down the government anyway. This will just give them further leverage to try to shut down the government, having failed to default on the nation’s credit. Many see this as the next demonstration of their commitment to god knows what. So I fear that we are on a path to government shutdown because there are enough members of the Republican conference who want it, and Kevin McCarthy will do whatever it takes to remain Speaker one more day, or one more week. That’s his sole motivation.

Clearly Kevin McCarthy and the Republican Party has given up entirely on advocating an agenda that has any appeal to the American people. They are wholly focused on slandering Biden and his family over baseless allegations for which their evidence is so thin that even some at Fox News aren’t buying it. Meanwhile they are propping up Dear Leader Trump whose crimes are well documented and mostly affirmed by other Republicans and members of Trump’s staff. All they have left is Trump worship and Biden hatred.

Democrats, on the other hand, are delivering for the American people on matters of great importance, including jobs, reducing drug and healthcare costs, restoring the nation’s infrastructure, supporting abortion rights, mitigating climate change, and defending democracy around the world. It’s a platform that broad majorities of the public support in principle. Democrats just need to better connect the dots between their popular policies and their President. Then let Republicans continue to sabotage their own electoral prospects by clinging to their abhorrent agenda and a soon-to-be convicted criminal candidate.

Fox News is OUTRAGED at Biden for Raising Taxes on the Wealthy and Spending on Climate Change

The 2024 campaign for the presidency is shaping up to be one of the most contentious in modern times. While neither party has officially chosen their candidates, it appears likely that it will be a rematch between the current President, Joe Biden, and the whining loser, Donald Trump.

Click here to Tweet this article

Fox News, Joe Biden, Fake News

Republicans are intent on lowering the character of the political debate to infantile name-calling, and vengeance for the perceived persecution of Dear Leader Trump. They are falling in line with Trump’s campaign slogan, “I am your retribution.” Which they apparently believe is what the American people are clamoring for.

RELATED: LOL: Fox News Defends Trump By Admitting that He’s a Lying, Narcissistic, Anti-Democratic, Loser

Democrats, on the other hand, are preparing to run on Biden’s record of accomplishments that include guiding the nation out of a deadly pandemic, and restoring the economy that was in a shambles after COVID and Trump’s tenure of incompetence and catering to right-wing extremists, corporations, and the 1% upper-crusters.

Fortunately, Republicans and their sycophantic media minions are proving to be among the best surrogates for President Biden’s reelection. Not only are they sabotaging their own prospects by embracing unpopular policies like abortion bans and impeaching Biden and half his Cabinet, but they are also tying themselves inextricably to Trump’s tedious “Big Lie” about election fraud and his obsession with relitigating the 2020 election that resulted in his humiliating defeat.

SEE ALSO: YEAH, RIGHT! Trump Promises an ‘Irrefutable,’ ‘Completely Exonerating’ Report on Election Fraud

On Friday’s episode of Fox News’ “Outnumbered” they offered up some more reasons why the American people should vote for Biden in 2024. They came during a segment wherein Fox contributor “Doctor” Janette Nesheiwat surely thought she was crushing Biden with righteous criticism. She said that…

“I took a look at Bidenomics. I wanted to see what exactly was in it. My takeaway? Higher taxes, especially on the wealthy and corporations, and massive spending especially when it comes to climate change. And then they want to dump more money into COVID? Hello? I saw maybe three or four cases of COVID this entire week. So they’re just spending money, and they’re spending it recklessly.”

OMG! Biden is raising taxes on billionaires, who currently pay little or nothing. And he’s providing funds to mitigate climate change, which is threatening the lives and livelihoods of millions around the country and the world. Impeach him now! Never mind that broad majorities of Americans support these policies.

Nesheiwat went on to complain about spending on COVID, because she has only seen “maybe three or four cases of COVID this entire week.” Keep in mind that she is more of a TV commentator than a practicing physician. Still, she considers her personal observations a valid statistical sample. The CDC, however, using more credible methods, reports COVID hospitalizations of 10,320 for the past week, an increase of 14.3%.

What’s more, the Fox News analysis of Bidenomics couldn’t be more off target. There is ample evidence that Bidenomics is benefiting most Americans and especially the working-class. It is improving the U.S. economy, which is leading the world. The Biden administration is responsible for the nation’s record job growth, restoration of domestic manufacturing, inflation that has been declining for the past twelve consecutive months, expanding healthcare and making it more affordable, and much more. All while reducing the deficit.

So if Fox News wants to complain about Biden making the rich pay their fair share, or saving the environment, let them have at it. It’s reminiscent of a recent episode where GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA-QAnon) tried to take a swipe at Democrats, but wound up starring in a Democratic campaign advertisement. The ad replayed video of her complaining about Biden and his…

“…government programs to address education, medical care, urban problems, rural poverty, transportation, Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps and welfare […] And he still was working on it, the largest public investment in social infrastructure and environmental programs that is actually finishing what FDR started, that LBJ expanded on and Joe Biden is attempting to complete.”

YES OR NO? GOP Biden Basher Can’t Answer Hannity’s Question About Bogus Bribery Allegations

The razor thin Republican majority in the House of Representatives is continuing to dig furiously for any crumb of contrived corruption on the part of President Biden and/or other Democrats. In that pursuit they have held numerous hearings that inevitably resulted in humiliation for the GOP scandal mongers.

Click here to Tweet this article

Fox News, Sean Hannity, Joe Biden

Leading the charge are devoted Trump toadies Jim Jordan, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, and James Comer, chairman of the House Oversight Committee. Between them they have managed to obsessively hype countless crackpot conspiracy theories that have resulted in unequivocal exonerations of the targets of their political animus.

RELATED: HOW CONVENIENT: GOP Oversight Committee Chair Says He Can’t Find His Star Witness Against Biden

The latest red herring they have been chasing has turned around and bit them in their fat arsenals of slander-bait. For several weeks they have been boasting that Devon Archer, a former business partner of Hunter Biden, would be coming to Congress and providing “bombshell” testimony that would send the entire Biden family to prison. On Monday Archer finally showed up and gave testimony that contradicted everything that the Republican shills had promised. Axios published a summary of the testimony that said…

“Archer testified that Hunter put his father on the phone with friends and business associates roughly 20 times over 10 years.”
That’s a grand total of twice a year.

“Archer ‘repeated over and over and over again that President Biden never discussed any business dealings or interests with Hunter or anyone else,'”
So Republicans outright lied about that.

“Archer testified that he knew nothing about the alleged $5 million bribes paid to the Biden family.”
So Republicans outright lied about that too.

“Archer also testified that Burisma believed efforts to oust Ukrainian prosecutor general Viktor Shokin were bad for the Ukrainian energy company.”
Consequently, Biden’s efforts to oust the prosecutor were bad for Hunter as well.

Following that disaster, Comer rushed over to Fox News for a propaganda fest with Sean Hannity. But he even failed to achieve his dishonest disinformation goals in that friendly environment…

Hannity: Yes or no. Do you believe that this is now officially the Joe Biden bribery allegation, and do you believe that you will be able to prove that?
Comer: I sure hope so. And I do believe that there’s a lot of smoke and where there’s smoke there’s fire. And we just heard testimony today that Joe Biden has lied to that American people.

Comer’s reply to Hannity’s straightforward inquiry is telling. Comer could not give Hannity the “yes or no” response that he asked for. Instead, Comer gave a wimpy “I sure hope so.” Which is not a statement of confidence in the guilt of those he’s accusing. It’s just an expression of his blatant, unfounded, partisan desires. A prosecutor doesn’t go into court and tell the judge that he doesn’t have any evidence, but “I sure hope” to get a guilty verdict anyway.

What’s more, Comer’s allusion to the presence of smoke and/or fire is more harmful to his Dear Leader Donald Trump than to Biden. For Trump there are already more than 70 felony counts filed against him that are well supported by material evidence and witness testimony. Whereas the only thing wafting from the Biden controversy are the fumes fanned by lying Republicans.

There is also no truth to Comer’s assertion that Biden lied to that American people. To the contrary, Archer, the GOP’s own witness, confirms that everything that Biden said previously about his not having discussed business with his son, was true.

Much of what Comer and other Republicans have based their conspiracy talk on were allegations that Biden pressured Ukrainian President Zelenskyy to fire a prosecutor who was supposedly working on a case involving Burisma, the company that Hunter was affiliated with. However, Biden was executing the policy of the U.S. government (and the E.U., and the IMF) to get rid of a corrupt prosecutor who was not, in fact, investigating Burisma. Biden’s efforts actually worked against Hunter’s financial interests. Comer, and the rest of the GOP, know this, but pretend not to. Which results in utterly dishonest messages like this one from Marjorie Taylor Greene…

Greene is correct that Archer told the Committee that Biden and his son spoke 20 times. But he also explicitly said that they never discussed business. And Greene’s deliberate distortions are representative of the GOP’s take on these matters overall. Clearly, reality has a hard time coexisting with Republicans, whose sole purpose in Washington is malign Democrats and spread lies.

GOP Rep Tells Fox News He Would ‘Probably’ Impeach Biden for – Um – Zero Evidence of Any Crime

The Republican fixation on slandering President Biden is entering a new phase wherein they are publicly advocating to impeach him, while simultaneously admitting that they haven’t got a shred of evidence of any alleged crime. In effect, they are arguing that “We know Biden is guilty because no actual proof exists.”

Fox News, Joe Biden, Fake News

Republicans have been doing their best impressions of “Walking Dead” style zombies in search of Biden’s elusive illegality. They would be better off searching for brains, something they are sorely in need of. In the meantime, they have held numerous hearings that have produced nothing but humiliation for the GOP and their efforts to bring Biden down.

Undeterred by the utter absence of facts, GOP politicians and press have pushed their crackpot conspiracy theories to the outer fringes of extremism. On Friday morning, Fox News shill, Harris Faulkner, hosted ultra-MAGA Republican “representative” Andy Biggs, who outlined his entirely baseless reasoning for why Biden should be removed from office…

Faulkner: Would you impeach the sitting President over this if it came to that?
Biggs: Probably, yes, where it sits today. And I’ll tell you why. There are least seven or eight additional indicia that Joe Biden was involved in Hunter Biden’s business. And this provides the quid pro quo. There are tapes purportedly out there, there are seventeen of them which – by the way the number was the FBI redacted originally when I saw the document – but the point is you have a series of different witnesses, whether it’s Rob Walker, where it’s the AUSA, and whether it’s the Zeigler and the other whistleblower, Shapley, who basically said they believe it was Joe Biden that was involved here. And that leads us to move to an impeachment inquiry. And that’s really where the first step is, so you flesh it out a little bit more.

To reiterate the justifications for impeaching Biden, Biggs cited “seven or eight [vague] indicia; tapes purportedly out there [but that no one has seen or heard]; a series of different [and anonymous or disreputable] witnesses; basically said they believe [not what they know or have proof of].” In other words, complete speculation with no factual basis whatsoever. But, sure, impeach the President based on that anyway.

Not wanting to be left out, James Comer, Chair of the House Oversight Committee, visited with that bastion of non-partisan credibility, Ted Cruz, and had the following exchange…

Comer: I think that Joe Biden has been selling access to our enemies for decades.”
Cruz: What’s your basis for that?
Comer: If you study Joe Biden like I have, he’s always been cash-strapped.

To be clear, Comer’s “basis” is not any actual evidence. It’s just his observation that Biden was not among the wealthy members of Congress. If anything, that’s proof that he was not “selling access to our enemies.” If he were, he would have had a lot more money.

Finally, Marjorie Taylor Greene was interviewed on Fox Business Channel by the former Director of the National Economic Council during the Trump Administration, now Fox host, Larry Kudlow. He prefaced his question by proving his political bias, saying that he was “angling for the big fish (i.e. biden).” Then he asked…

Kudlow: Is there any new developments on these audio tapes and this Burisma oligarch who allegedly has them?
Greene: I haven’t heard any new updates on the location of the 17 audio recordings that are legitimate proof that Joe Biden and Hunter Biden both took $5 Million bribes from the oligarch that owns Burisma.

So in Greene’s twisted mind, not having any knowledge of the whereabouts, contents, or even the existence of some alleged tapes is “legitimate proof” that Joe and Hunter Biden took bribes. Which is pretty much the same argument that Bigfoot hunters use to affirm his existence and likely acceptance of bribes.

Much of the most recent speculation about Biden’s supposed misconduct was triggered by the release of an internal FBI form by GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley. The “FD-1023” form contained an agent’s reporting of unverified information from a questionable source. It spun a tale of the CEO of a Ukrainian company, Burisma, who Republicans falsely claim has implicated Biden in a bribery scheme. The GOP resorted to coercing the FBI to provide the confidential document so that they could misrepresent it.

However, reality has debunked the GOP’s assertions. In fact, the unnamed source referenced in the document actually refuted the claims by Republican scandal seekers. He reported that he “met Burisma’s CEO once and spoke with him on the phone twice and was unable to ‘provide any further opinion as to the veracity’ of what the CEO claimed.”

So once again, they have nothing but conjecture and their rancid fantasies. What’s more, the release of the form was an inappropriate breach of confidentiality that put the investigation and persons involved at risk. Not that Republicans care about that. They have only one item on their agenda, and it’s something they have literally bragged about…
